The 6 Best Korean BBQ Restaurants In SF

"In the Venn diagram of affordable AYCE deals and high-quality meats, Kogi Gogi hits that sweet middle spot. The Sunset restaurant is our go-to for big group hangs or casual weeknights when we can’t be bothered to change out of our sweats (a solid stretchy wardrobe choice for this meal, anyway). The long space is as laidback as it gets, and the thinly sliced pork belly, chicken bulgogi, and beef bulgogi are packed with sweet-salty flavor. Their house special, which runs Monday to Thursday, is also one of the best deals in town: for $28.99 a person, you get your choice of four meats and three sides like corn cheese, gyoza, or tteokbokki, which ends up being more than enough food to feed a crowd.   " - julia chen 1, lani conway

Google
First KBBQ experience for me. My friend took over cooking the meat. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Cleared out the grill gates when needed without us even needing to ask. Adjusted the heat when needed. I would definitely try this again 💖

Google
This place is amazing. The food was awesome, the meat was top tier and perfectly seasoned. Inmy and Kevin were great hosts and made us feel like family. I highly recommend enjoying a great meal here.

Google
I recently visited Kogi Gogi BBQ in San Francisco and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the food was tasty and flavorful, and the staff were friendly and worked hard to take care of the many guests in the restaurant. However, one major downside significantly affected our dining experience: the grill plates. The grill grate had to be replaced at least 10 times during our meal because it would immediately turn black from burning as soon as the meat touched it. We mentioned to the staff that this was very unpleasant, but we were told this was normal. I’ve dined at many restaurants with tabletop grills, and I’ve never experienced this issue to this extent. In my opinion, the level of burning on the grill surface is not only off-putting but could also be a health concern. It’s something that should be addressed if the restaurant wants to maintain high standards.

Absolutely LOVED going here! I highly recommend for the San Francisco area. The food is great, and the staff even extended closing time just for my group! Huge shout out to the staff of Kogi Gogi ❤️

Time of review 03/10/2024. The prices are based on time of review ~ Hands down my favorite. We go here so much, the owner recognizes me ~ Meat: 5 out of 5 ⭐️ $42 a person You can either order the regular or premium menu. We usually get regular, but have tried the premium. Both are really good. Meat is good and they give you a lot. Sides: 10 out of 5 ⭐️ The sides are why I keep coming back. The rice cakes are phenomenal. The corn cheese is superb. Soups are delicious. I’ve tried MANY Korean bbq ayce, Kogi will always be #1 when it comes to the sides. Staff: 5 out of 5 ⭐️ Great staff, always changing the grill even before you can ask. Attentive and gets your orders fast. This is a safe pick whenever picking Korean ayce. They get busy during the weekends. They have a special Monday-Thursday, I believe it’s $32 a person. Overall I spent $91 + $10 = $101 for 2 people

Google
Food: 5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Overall: My goto AYCE place to come to. The extended review… Food: 5/5 - The meats I defer to are the kalbi, pork jowl, lettuce, and rice paper. I typically have a bowl of bones at the end. If you go for AYCE…don’t do the fillers!! Service: 3.5/5 - Service is hit or miss. The meat orders aren’t so much a problem but the sides I’ve found sometimes don’t get placed. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - A good set up and you can place jackets in the stools you sit on which will minimize the smell on your clothes.

Compared to other Korean BBQ restaurants, Kogi Gogi needs work. It's very smokey. The meats were not very flavorful. It was meat, but I didn't taste like anything special. It tasted as if the marinade was pure blandness. The servers were polite and easy on the eyes, but the older guy behind the register was way more interested in getting us out of the restaurant. He turned the table grill off twice. Both times there were dishes of uncooked meat on the table. What were they going to do? Toss uncooked meat? There's better, way better, Korean BBQ in SF.

Google
Been this place for many times but this time is really disappointing for me. Pork belly was very bloody smell and there were a dead fly on the lettuce. Their server didn’t say sorry, she just said “oh”… Beef brisket and beef belly was nice but I don’t think I will go to this restaurant again…

Yelp
Last review of my SanFran era. Idk who found this place but we drove here from our hotel. Parking was not that bad, we found street parking and paid $1 or something. Restaurant was not busy so we were seated immediately. They had an array of banchan on the table. I remember kimchee and rice paper. That's all. Lol. We tried a variety of meats, pork jowl, ribeye, brisket and beef tongue. My favorite was the ribeye and brisket. Pork jowl was meh. Takes too long to cook. We also ordered corn cheese and stir fried glass noodles. The noodles were on the greasy side so pass. Bibimbap is definitely get. Service was also good, the employees came by frequently to ask for another order and to change out the grill. Bathrooms is an organized mess but clean. Overall not a bad deal!

Yelp
Food: solid kbbq, average banchan, good steamed egg, and ok kimchi jigae. Customer service: average, decent. Server wasn't friendly but rather focused on his job of waiting tables, especially since it was quite busy. Ambiance: small place w/ few tables compared to other kbbq places but can't really be helped with the location. Wouldn't recommend for large parties. Notes: they have 3 options for your bbq. The cheapest option is kinda lame b/c there's not a lot of meat to choose from. there's a time limit and you will be charged for unfinished food (meat). If you're in a big party, they can only split the check into 2. Overall: don't love it, don't hate it...gets the job done but wouldn't be our first pick.

Yelp
Oh my. I found this place on Google and we headed over from downtown SF. There is only street parking available around this area. We came around 6:00pm and we're promptly seated. They had not gotten super busy yet but within an hour they had a full restaurant. We splurged and did AYCE. They had a lot sides options..ask for the japchae (stir fried noodles), and cheese corn. I always love some rice at kbbq but skip it..it's so dry (well the night we went).. overall the food was delicious. I'd return!

Yelp
This is our go-to AYCE Korean Bbq spot. Great banchan options, sides are good, and most importantly - we really like the range and quality of the meat. Service is quick and has the classic Korean BBQ vibes.

Yelp
Wanted a simple KBBQ on the southern side of the park and found this spot which is in a busy part of the inner sunset. Wasn't too expensive so we came by on a Saturday night and waited about 15 minutes in line to be seated, which isn't bad. FOOD: AYCE KBBQ. Pretty standard stuff. Solid Kalbi, with standard pork belly, brisket, and beef tongue. They have all your standard stuff with solid sauces - plus they have ssamjjiang which not all places have. Solid banchan as well. Overall a solid offering for a decent AYCE price. Steamed egg. A hybrid of steamed egg that they finished with HOT oil, which basically made it a fried scrambled egg on top, which was good, but not really what I wanted when I ordered the steamed egg, but definitely a cool offering - just have to know what you're getting into. Overall a good spot to just get some simple KBBQ at a decent price without the frills. Not the best quality, but without the wait and at this price, I might make this a more regular spot for me when I'm just trying to casually get some KBBQ. Service is solid so I'll likely be back.

Yelp
My group of 4 came on a Tuesday around 7pm and waited around 30ish minutes. They were surprisingly full on a random Tuesday. We got their regular kbbq AYCE option for $45~ and got a variety of meats and side dishes: Pork Belly, Thinly Sliced Pork Belly, Pork Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Beek Brisket, Tofu Soup, Sweet & Spicy Rice Cake, Corn Cheese, Potstickers, Stir Fried Clear Noodle. The meats were alright like not the best quality. Service was fast; they definitely have people zooming around and making sure everyone's good. Overall, they're an OK kbbq place.

Yelp
Great service and food. We ate here on a Thursday evening and had no trouble getting seated for a party of 6. We enjoyed the meat selection and sides offered in their basic ayce menu. I would definitely come back if ever in the area.

Yelp
Kogi Gogi BBQ was one of the tastiest Korean BBQ spots I've gone to! After having KBBQ in LA's Koreatown, I've had a hard time enjoying the spots up in the Bay. Until I went to Kogi Gogi! The service was incredibly fast. All the meats arrived quickly and were tender and very flavorful! My favorite would have to be the marinated rib meat and brisket. The prices are also very reasonable! My friends and I mostly ordered from the second to lowest tier, and were more than satisfied. I also like the soft tofu soup! This place is a solid spot for KBBQ in SF. You should try it out!

Yelp
tldr; easy, casual place for korean bbq. $45 per person minimum Fri-Sun. have everything you need! Went for my little brother's birthday and didn't realize the cheaper AYCE was only for Mon-Thu, but oh well. Our favorite meats were the brisket and bulgogi. Asked for rice paper wrappers, extra salt, and ssamjang. Lots of banchan-- we really liked their kimchis! Overall, it did the job. Staff was friendly and attentive, very quick service. A bit expensive but to be expected in SF... they include a service fee, just fyi.

Yelp
Discovered this place on a weekday! Prices are impossible to beat in SF and the food is great. A moment of applause for the fluffiest egg souffle ever!! Service is great - the staff are attentive to grill changes and additional ordering. They play music videos and the vibes are perfect to bring your friends here on a weekend with some drinks!

Yelp
Looking for a quick and easy option for AYCE KBBQ in Inner Sunset? You really can't go wrong with Kogi Gogi! I've been here ~4-5 times now with various parties of 3-6 people; their menu is simple and clean and hits the most basic needs of an AYCE. Their service is probably slightly above average, and their drink selection adds an extra element of excitement to your otherwise average AYCE experience. The one downside here is that there meat can sometimes come out quite frozen, although if you don't mind waiting slightly longer for the grill to fully cook the meat, this really isn't that big of a problem. Overall, a great option for eating out with a small-medium sized group, and definitely a place I'll come back many more times in the future.

Yelp
We got the LA galbi, prime short rib, and American wagyu beef. The galbi had incredible flavor while the prime rib was super juicy and marbled with fat. The wagyu beef was also very tender. We also got two different kinds of tteokbokki and I liked both! The fried tteokbokki had the perfect mouth chew and I liked the crunchier texture while the other tteokbokki was smaller and included fish cake and had a nice chewy texture that reminded me of mochi. Finally we got their bibimbap which had a great balance of ingredients in each bite and was not overloaded with rice! I love that their grills suck the smoke to the side so you aren't breathing it in and you don't leave the restaurant smelling like kbbq. The owner and chef is super passionate about his food and restaurant and makes everything himself. This is a fantastic local spot to support and I'll totally be back!

Yelp
We got here on a Friday as they were opening and so glad we did. The space is small but cute, they had KPop playing in the background an array of different types of AYCE, banchan and different appetizers. The soju cocktail was so good, meats were fresh, servers were attentive and changed out our grill multiple times. This is definitely a must try if you're in the area!

Yelp
KG BBQ is located on 9th Avenue in the Inner Sunset just a few blocks from Golden Gate Park. This AYCE has three different menu prices starting with the cheapest M-Thur price of $28.99, Fri-Sun regular $42, and Premium Meat Choice Menu of $62. The wife and I went at 6pm on a Thursday and were promptly seated at a plexi-glass divided table in the rear - perfect for two or three. Banchan was preset around our grill thus our feast was ready to begin immediately. We opted for the cheapest $28.99 menu and a Cass beer to share. Ordering limits are 4 meat platters and 3 other platters at a time. The first order thru the staff and subsequent orders thru a QR Code online menu. We ordered two rounds of meat and other dishes which was plenty for two. Could have gone another round but we wanted to make sure we would comfortably make it to our car parked nearby. Our favorites were: Spicy Pork, Brisket, Pork Belly, and Cheese Corn. Least favorite was the gummy Beef Bulgogi. Meats were of good quality and appropriate for the price. Service was good as grill covers were changed out without us requesting while ordering using the QR code had some hiccups remedied by just telling the staff that something didn't show up. Where's my Beef Brisket, Cheese Corn? Atmosphere wise - excellent ventilation, KPOP music was nice and loud - playing BTS, Black Pink, AESPA, Twice, ITZY, TXT, with TV screens set to NCAA March Madness, chairs that serve as mini lockers for your valuables, and a nice loud crowd with people having a good time. Would I go back? Yes.

Yelp
One of my favorite bbq places in San Francisco area. Love the steam egg and the meat quality! The drinks are so cute too like the watermelon one. So many side dishes and cheesy corn is a must have for me! The service is very kind and attentive!
google avatar

Grace M.

Yelp
AYCE Tasty and casual kbbq spot! Plenty of side dishes and they had all the extras we wanted. We stopped in quick and didn't have a chance to experience the full ayce experience as we had somewhere to be but this was no fault of the restaurant as they were accommodating and kind.

Yelp
We visited today and were seated quickly, but the service was decent. The staff checked on us maybe 5 times, and we had to wave them down every other time. There was not much of a proactive service. The sides was already set on the table when we arrived, and for the price ($44 per person), it wasn't worth it compared to other KBBQ spots. The steamed egg and kimchi could have been much better, and the meat was just okay--nothing to write home about. The scissors they provided to cut the meat were ridiculously dull, like something a kindergartner would use. On top of that, they automatically charged an 18% gratuity for a party of 4, which is absurd since most places only do that for 6 or more. The $35 tip felt completely undeserved given how little attention we received. Unfortunately, this will be our first and last visit. We wanted to try something new, but it just didn't meet our expectations.

Carolina H.

Yelp
Favorite KBBQ to go to or to share with others! Place is kept clean & servers are very attentive. The cost is well priced as I always leave satisfied with their quality/quantity of meats + sides provided. (Favorite is the galbi + rice cakes :p) Lots of seating but can fill up quickly. Parking is a hassle around the neighborhood if you come during busy hours. Will continue coming here - 10/10!
google avatar

Yelp
Reservations: recommend on weekends Parking: hard esp on weekends Service: nice and quick Ambiance: causal and loud Cons: 90-100min time limit and they don't tell you it's your last call. They just hand you the bill after your time has been up. So just keep this in mind and keep track of your time! $42 and $62 menu options, higher was has premium meats I thought the $42 menu was pretty good already tho! It has all the sides included like steamed egg, tofu soup, fries, corn cheese, japchae, and more! As for the meats, everything was pretty good! But my favorites were the brisket, pork jowl, intestines, and beef rib finger meat!
google avatar

Cielita C.

Yelp
Came here LITERALLY right before closing... and they still gave us the BEST service. This KBBQ is literally sooo worth it especially for the quality of their food with such a lower price compared to other KBBQs around SF. The ambiance inside literally reminds me of something I'd watch from a Korean drama Nothing too fancy, but the food is really good! They have a promo $28.99 (I think) from mon-thursdays with a choice of specific meat choices & add another $10 for more meat options... For sure worth it!

Yelp
After placing our order, I went inside to use the restroom and was surprised to find Kogi Goji BBQ PACKED with youngins... At 5 pm. I felt like that auntie in the club. Kogi Gogi BBQ is an AYCE KBBQ spot that's open for indoor and outdoor dining (dog-friendly). We only visited out of convenience and because they're dog-friendly. I'm not into AYCE or buffets so take my review with a grain of gochugaru. Arrived for an early dinner so there was no wait for outdoor seating at 5 pm opening but by the time we left around 5:40 pm, there was a crowd outside. M E N U AYCE KBBQ Menu w/ two tiers: (Note: I visited before the price increase, the premium was $55 pp at the time.) (1) "Special" $42 pp: Includes a selection of over 20 proteins (including seafood), banchan, apps, jjigae (soup/stews), etc. (2) "Premium" $62 pp: Includes the above plus "premium" cuts, American wagyu, galbi, jumbo shrimp, etc. Gas grills are used, no charcoal. Beer, Korean wine, and soju only. No full bar. 2 persons minimum with a ***100 minute limit*** for all tables. 18% auto-gratuity for parties 4 or more. F O O D * Banchan: http://tinyurl.com/5b4favtn IMO, banchan (side dishes) are an indicator of whether a Korean resto is good or not. There were about 9 banchan which include kimchi, bean sprouts, japchae, potato salad, garden salad, broccoli, rice paper (noodle sheets), etc. They were subpar and didn't taste fresh. For example, the japchae noodles were firm and hella salty. Lettuce and ssamjang (fermented soybean paste) seem to be by request (we had to ask for it). * Premium AYCE - $62 pp (paid $55 pp before price increase): http://tinyurl.com/bdfzns3y --Corn cheese: http://tinyurl.com/te8pn4vp More like queso fundido with an 85:15 cheese to corn ratio. Where's the tortillas? MEATS --Beef Rib Finger Meat (regular menu) --Beef Tongue (regular menu) --Spicy Pork Jowl (regular menu) --Prime Boneless Short Ribs (premium menu) --Prime Ribeye (premium menu) --Wagyu Beef (premium menu) --Marinated Galbi (premium menu) Decent quality is my only expectation for AYCE. I found the meat quality here quite poor, so the premium upgrade was not worth it to me. The cuts were either too chewy, tough, thick and/or too fatty. We mainly ordered unmarinated meat so there's no masking the quality. The marinated meats were salty with an acrid aftertaste. We didn't enjoy the food so 35 minutes in, we asked for bill. Not a fan of Gen and even then, I think Gen is much better. S E R V I C E Good customer service from the staff. They were quick to bring out our order and easy to flag down. A M B I A N C E Lively, young crowd with narrow indoor dining area (no ventilation hoods or chimneys) and several TVs. The outdoor parklet seating has four tables. P A R K I N G Very challenging street parking esp after 5 pm on the weekends. Overall, I can see the appeal of Kogi Goji BBQ *if* meat sweats are your goal but I'm surprised by the high ratings. For $80+ pp after tax + tip, one could have easily have a better quality dinner elsewhere. While the food was 2 stars, keeping it at 3 stars because the city sorely lacks solid KBBQ joints (gotta drive to Santa Clara) and for the dog-friendly outdoor seating.

Yelp
Came to Kogi Gogi with friends for our newfound kbbq Christmas tradition and it did not disappoint! For $42, there was a solid selection of meats to choose from along with some special sides. Each round, you were free to order 4 meats and 3 sides. My friends and I really enjoyed the beef belly, the brisket, the LA galbi, and the rib fingers. It was especially good when paired with many of the banchans, many of which were pickled. I really enjoyed using the paper thin slices of pickled radish to sandwich pieces of grilled meat! When it came to maintenance, Kogi Gogi did a nice job with frequent grill changes. The smokeless grill design was also nice but I will admit, there's a bit of fun that's missing when you walk out of a kbbq restaurant and don't smell lightly of galbi. The grill also doesn't impart flavor like a charcoal grill would. Generally, our AYCE train was smooth but we did encounter a few snafus. Once, our next round was not entered and we just awkwardly sat for 10-15 minutes because we had also cleared our banchans along with all the food that was at the table. Multiple times, it also took time for banchans, sauce, or water to replace. Sometimes the items just didn't come back at all, like our missing water canister. Overall, my friends and I had a really good time! I could see us returning for sure!

Yelp
Amazing !!! My first time at a Korean Bbq ! I was very full. The food kept coming lol You can only be there for an hour and half Which sounds fair. Service was great parking was okay.
google avatar

Ryan T.

Yelp
Kogi Gigi is probably one of the better Korean BBQ spots in the City. The deal they have for the meats with unlimited sides is wear I'm sold. The wait is long on weekends as expected but it's also kbbq so you've been starving yourself all day so might as well wait another hour at most. Service is very fast and they're on point with the needs, you just have to make sure you tell them and don't wait expecting them to know. It's not San Jose KBBQ but it's the best around the city for me. And also... there's salt and straw (ice cream) nearby if you're feeling like an extra piece of shit. I love me some corn cheese and rice cake rolls drenched in like siracha. It's not exactly 5stars kbbq in comparison to where the home base ones (SoCal/SJ) but it's def one of the best in the Bay imo

Yelp
This place has solid kbbq! The inside is pretty well ventilated, and has the classic Korean soju ads and kpop playing. They have huge TV's for the game as well! They don't have a ton of seats, but they do take reservations. Their seats even have a compartment for your bags and jackets so they don't get too smelly! Service here is great! They do constant grill changes and refills on meat orders/side dishes. Unlike other kbbq places, the owner will tell you if your time is up and is pretty strict about it (100min). As for the food, meat quality is excellent! My whole table got the $42 AYCE option and left stuffed. I don't personally feel the need to get the premium option since the basic one already comes with so many meat and appetizer options. They also have a great variety of sides dishes! My favorite meats were the pork belly, beef belly, and brisket! Special shoutout to the biggest kalbi I have ever seen here! Huge cuts of meat. I would personally skip on the rice cake, and other fried appetizers. Definitely a treat meal, both in terms of the richness of the food and the price. Minus 1 star because the parking here is HORRIBLE. Took 20min to find a spot and parked three blocks away. 9th and Irving is just always such a popular place! Definitely allot extra time to find a spot.

Yelp
We've been to Kogi Gogi BBQ a few times. I would say pretty happy with each visit. We typically go for the mid tier "Special" AYCE option ($45) since that is the best balance of value to meat choices. The meat choices are all good and fresh. Banchan is great to start your meal and there are a few favorites we really enjoy. The Kimchee, marinated spicy fish cake and the daikon wraps. Ask them for refills as needed. The wait staff was really moving. They swap out burner plate every few dishes to keep the smoke and burning to a minimum. When reordering meats and signature menu items. They quickly take your order and return when ready. They don't miss a beat. BBQ smoke used to be a problem if I remember past visits but this last time it was smokeless and very comfortable. Maybe when super busy the smoke may be more problematic. But it comes with the territory when eating KBQ!! Bench seating along the wall and chairs in the aisles. Overall a nice space with K-pop music playing in the background. Parking in that part of the Sunset can be difficult so plan accordingly.

Yelp
Mid it wasn't how I remember quality of food went down and taste of other made dishes wasn't good anymore what happened to this place?
google avatar

Yelp
Small local Korean BBQ. Opened at 4pm and got a table right away. The food was amazing! The kimchi was to die for. We ordered fried squid, brisket, marinated pork belly, and beef bulgogi. Total price was $44.99 per person. The service was great. We didn't have to ask for anything. They just kept the food and the sauces coming.
google avatar

Kayla C.

Yelp
One of the more decent AYCE kbbq in the city. It will be busy so be prepared. I think there are better AYCE in the greater bay but as far as ones in the city it's my go to. I enjoy my time here and the meat quality is pretty good. As I said it's busy so sometimes putting in an order can be difficult but they are always as attentive as they can and change the grills as needed. I also think it's over priced but like I said it's one of the better places in the city so yeah. drive out of the city for kbbq or pay a little extra. a cross road we all come to
google avatar

Jordan L.

Yelp
The food was awesome and the service was amazing! If you go on a weekday, the prices are cheaper and the value is a steal. Definitely will be coming back for the all-you-can-eat bbq along with the delicious pot stickers. It was a great space for a birthday dinner and we were able to watch the game while enjoying incredible food!
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Food was good. The bulgogi and galbi were the only things we tried but were easy to cook and not too fatty. The cheese corn was good if you like green and red peppers. The egg soufflé was very "eggy". Tasty though. There was a good assortment of banchan and hubby and I really enjoyed the green salad. Service was very good about changing the grill every 15 minute or so and we never ran out of water. A bit chilly inside but would be fine if we were drinking. A bit far for AYCE from the South Bay. The fresh pineapple was very good.

Yelp
Nothing special to report for Kogi Gogi. Service was below standard, staff would always shove new dishes on same side of table, not very personable. I arrived and food was already on the table. Womens bathroom was cluttered and out of toilet paper. Dark spaces of the restaraunt seemed cluttered and dirty. This made the food less appetizing to me.

Yelp
Solid options for meat. Prompt service on a Sunday evening. No wait when we arrived. Traditional KBBQ spot. Music was a tad too loud. Basic sides and pairings.

Yelp
Saw a video on TikTok hyping this AYCE place so gave it a try. I think it was like $42/person and I really wanted to like this place but the vibes/service and food just turned out to be very mid. When we entered, the owner was there but there was no greeting or anything, literally a blank stare, didn't like his vibe tbh. But he seemed very cheery and nice to other customers (who were white) so felt like he was racially biased imo. The other two male servers were ok, they got what we needed when we asked. Now for the food, the meat was good but the heat was turned really high so the first meat got burnt and we couldn't lower it because our table didn't have the heat knob, so we had to tell them to turn it down. Pork jowl was the best meat we tried, I'd recommend. The galbi was SO salty, the marination was too much so each bite was just really salty, which was very disappointing. The corn cheese was pretty good tho. The steamed egg at first tasted fine but it's honestly a VERY overwhelming size & it's dry when you get to the middle portions, only the outer parts taste juicy and flavorful. I love kimchi soup so I was excited for that but holy shiiit it was SO salty. Ik most restaurants make things salty but this was just too much. I had to pour almost a cup of water to dilute it. Overall the servers I could tell are hardworking but please level up the service so the customer satisfaction is better for everyone (I see a lot of other people have similar experience with bad service/treatment) and please reduce the saltiness on some of the dishes. I think this place can definitely grow into a better quality restaurant with these changes.

Yelp
I love coming here! It is so clean and the service is so quick and friendly! $45 seemed like a lot at first for the cheaper option, but there is so much on the menu that it didn't end up mattering.. Favorite KBBQ place in the area!

Yelp
We came here for cousin's birthday. We got 90min to eat. The meat portion was smaller than what I expected, and they served slowly as if they wanted you to feel full after first round so you can just pay the leave. Very pricey, I prefer Gen KBBQ.

Yelp
I would say by far my fave KBBQ spot. You come out smelling like food, but I've been to other spots where you COME OUT SMELLING LIKE FOOD. For a place that doesn't have hoods above your cooking area, it doesn't get disgustingly smokey inside. Staff is pretty attentive. Quick to bring out your orders and when you ask for more of the banchan, they are not shy about it. Parking can be difficult since it's on 9th, between Judah and Irving, but with a little patience and really good ispy eyes, I've always managed to find parking down at the end of the block or around the corner. Great for large groups. I reserved for a table of 5 but they were accommodating to my change for a table of 6. My table came complete with a cook since my friend took the reins and cooked everything.

Yelp
Food and service was excellent. If you want kalbi short ribs, you have to go with mid pricing. The standard price menu excludes kalbi. What I like most was how often they changed out our Grill so we were always grilling with a clean grill. It's exactly as they advertise, eat all you can. As seniors over 70yrs, we don't eat very much anymore but our teenage grandson ate enough for all 3 of us.

Yelp
Bristle in my gristle !! I found a staple in my meat. I alerted the server so they could check that batch in case it affected another customer. He claimed it was just a bristle from their metal scrubbers... which is still a huge problem! He couldn't be bothered, but at that point my appetite was gone. The quality of the meat itself has gone down. There's a lot of connective tissue pieces, brisket sliced too thick, etc. they also give you scissors that really can't cut, which is a big problem when they give you meat with a lot of gristle. Flies landed in some of our meat before cooking. The staff didn't nothing to remedy the metal piece in my food. Still got charged full price despite ceasing our meal after finding it.

Yelp
If you are looking for some good AYCE Korean BBQ, this is the place. There is a house special set that includes some basic meat items that would be good if you do not want shortribs or a few other specialty items. I went with my husband and grandson and had their regular set, which included items like rib eye steak, shortribs, pork jowls, shrimp, baby octopus, and lots of other things. The spicy marinated items were not quite spicy enough but had good flavor. The marinated short ribs were yum, and the LA rib, which was a gigantic marinated beef rib, was delicious but hard to cook and hard to eat. They changed out our grill often, and we never had to ask. This made the grilling easier, and there were no burnt grill smells coming from the grill. Actually, the restaurant was not smoky at all, but don't expect to not come out smelling like BBQ smoke. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. The waitstaff was nice and attentive. If you are trying to decide, go and check it out yourself.

Yelp
Kogi Gogi used to be a favorite place --but the value has far out reached the pricing point to enjoy. The dinner used to be $35, now 2 years later its a steep $45 without tax and tip included. It's feeling like price gouging to me. There is too much competition in the area to be this pricey for the kind of service provided. Sorry! Id recommend this store to get an a la carte option as I am not interested in paying $60+ to grill my own food.

Yelp
Came here a handful of times now and has not disappointed. It is a little pricier compared to another KBBQ spot I normally go to but there's more variety here. The quality of meat is good and they have a lot of options for sides I like the soju options bc they have the fruit soju cocktails in the actual fruit! The servers are all on point and very attentive. the ambiance is loud and lively!

Yelp
Favorite kbbq spot in SF! It's a small restaurant but it's always packed and their selection of meats is superior. I'd pay a little more for the premium AYCE experience - the cuts are worth it. They have some of the most tender melt-in-your-mouth meats and you can taste the quality. Their side dishes are delicious as well - you have to get their corn cheese. Their watermelon and pineapple cocktail drink is so fun to drink - they both come in their respective fruits and are massive. Easily shareable among 4 people. Service is amazing as well - the servers are attentive and the owner is super friendly and makes an appearance occassionally. I'd highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a kbbq spot that's affordable with delicious meat selections.

Yelp
This place should really put a disclaimer on their website that they don't serve AYCE for a party of one. Was really excited to try this place, I even skipped my lunch in anticipation. Do better.

Yelp
I was craving KBBQ for lunch, and my usual spot is only open for dinner, so I decided to try a new spot out. Three of us visited on a weekend after as walk ins and were able to get a seat right away. The restaurant is both indoor and outdoor seating available but we opted for outdoor as we had our dog with us, which was allowed for outdoor dining. Before we were seated, the side dishes were placed out for us so that we could dive in as soon as we sat down. Service was quick, efficient, and personable. We ordered a selection of meats including brisket, bulgogi, pork jowl, and pork belly, as well as other dishes like corn cheese and steamed egg. The quality of the meat was good; I enjoyed the flavors and textures and the other dishes were popular amongst all of us. I also really like grill too we were provided with, which featured the main grill area and two so we ate spaces to put the cooked food that would keep it warm but not cooking. This is opposed to the typical round grill top on many KBBQ spots.

Yelp
Called at 7pm on a Saturday to put our name on the list for a party of 4. They were able to seat us at 730. The servers were attentive everything was really good, the one thing that was ok was the pork belly. Potstickers and beef bulgogi were the tables favorite. It wasn't too loud although it was busy.

Yelp
Not bad! Its pretty busy so servers are running around. We got the large strawberry soju cocktail and for some reason it was not good. It was liquor-y and really syrupy. It was undrinkable which is so sad! The meat was okay and love that you can get sides within the price if your meal. The pot stickers were my favorite it was so good!
