Korea House - Review - West Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Korea House is a well-oiled machine, and you’ll know it from the minute you enter the tiny restaurant. Service is lightning fast, and you’ll barely have time to look around at all the awards and newspaper articles framed on the wall before you have a table full of some of the best Korean food in Nashville to distract you. video credit: Casey Irwin photo credit: Casey Irwin photo credit: Casey Irwin photo credit: Casey Irwin Kick things off with the crunchy kimbap and crispy fried dumplings before diving into the main attraction: the kimchi samgyoupsal, a delicious combo of pork belly, tofu, and spicy, garlicky kimchi. Other sure-fire choices include the saucy dweji bulgogi and the steaming soonduboo chigae, a spicy seafood stew stuffed with silken tofu, mussels, squid, and prawns that will warm you right up. Food Rundown Kimbap This protein-centric roll features beef sausage, egg, and crab stick, all brought to life with the crunchy tang of the pickled radish and the salty seaweed outer layer. A snack for quirky maximalists. Japchaebap Bouncy sweet potato noodles marry vegetables and beef in this satisfying favorite. The zucchini, cabbage, and the like are tender and add a nice lightness to the savory and salty dish. Soonduboo Chigae The king of Korean soups, this spicy seafood stew is served in a steaming stone bowl, beckoning you with its bubbling red broth that screams “FLAVOR.” Mussels, squid, and prawns make an appearance, and it's all brought together by delicate pieces of silken tofu." - Bailey Freeman

The Best Lunches in Nashville, Tennessee | Eater Nashville

"Lunch is the best time to drop into this no-frills mom-and-pop operation on Charlotte Pike, where your no-nonsense servers deliver bountiful banchan and exceptionally scalding bowls of stew. The entire menu delivers, from spicy kimchi stew with pork and tofu to dolsot bibimbap with fresh vegetables and a fried egg, in a way that satisfies the same craving as classic diner food — but with spice. Plus, there’s shochu and beer on hand to quench any gochujang-induced fires, should they arise." - Ellen Fort

"Head to West Nashville’s Korea House for consistently delicious Korean dishes — the bulgogi and bibimbap are fan favorites. The unpretentious restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but it’s long been regarded by locals as some of the best Korean food in town over its decades in business. Who knew lunch would be this fun? You’d never guess this hidden gem was tucked into a strip mall on Charlotte. But trust me—you’ll want to find it, and you’ll definitely want to eat there. You know it’s going to be good when most of the people eating there clearly grew up on this kind of food—not Yelp reviews. Yes, I'll take one of everything on the menu. No regrets.

Google
Korea House is a fantastic dining experience that truly celebrates the flavors of Korean cuisine. Every dish I tried was delicious, showcasing the rich and complex flavors that the cuisine is known for. The highlight for me was the mandu, which were perfectly crispy and full of savory filling. The kimbap was fresh and flavorful, making it a delightful appetizer. The samgyupsal and bulgogi were standout dishes—both tender and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The teokbokki offered a nice spicy kick and a satisfying texture that complemented the meal beautifully. On top of the delicious food, the servers were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. I highly recommend Korea House to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Korean dishes. You won't be disappointed!

Google
Authentic Korean food. No need to go to Korea. It's a modest eatery in a strip mall serving delicious Korean dishes. One of the best in America. Service is polite and the place is clean.

We came to this place for the first time. The food was good. The staff were friendly. We liked everything we ordered here. This place will be a must when we will visit Nashville again.

Google
This place is amazing!! The food is good! I ordered the spicy chicken number 10! Number 16 was also very good! As you can see my plate I ate it all!

Google
The BEST food. The service was spot on. The food came out quickly. There was nothing we ordered that we didn't like. To wait to be seated, you wrote your own name on a đry erase board. It was obvious this was a local favorite by the mix of people. The bathrooms were clean, but the hall back to them was cluttered, and it was very warm and humid in the restaurant. This is obviously the case all the time as it clung to the walls, hence the 3 stars for the atmosphere. It won't stop us from going again!

Google
i havent had such good food in i dont know how long. the dolsot bibimbap and seafood pancake were INCREDIBLE, and the bibimbap paired with the kimchi was like a little piece of heaven. service and atmosphere was wonderful, and they were very polite and considerate with my service dog.

Google
A popular spot that really lives up to it's reputation. Every single dish was so delicious I'd go back and order everything again happily. However that would mean I'd miss out on trying all the other menu options! It's an extensive list making this a solid choice for multiple return visits. The location is very unassuming in a strip mall. It is also very small. Not much atmosphere but that's ok it's comfortable and cozy in an unassuming way. We arrived with a group of 8 and had to wait at the bar next door for enough folks to leave for them to put some tables together and this was a random Tuesday. I would not go with a group larger than 4. They do not take reservations or wait-list. That said everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The service was also super fast and the food comes out quick and screaming hot. Obviously hot pots are a great choice but I loved my mackerel dish. It was salty meaty fish that really hit the spot. The seafood pancake was a great accompaniment and also makes a wonderful app for the table given it's crazy large size. They have a small beer selection, a little bit of hot and cold sake, and soju plain and with fruit flavors. You really can't go wrong here and they deserve the accolades.

Yelp
Bulgogi and Kimchi jiggae! I can definitely say this place hits home! (San Francisco, Ca) I must say the flavors were amazing! I loved the sides! Fish cake is my ultimate favorite and next would be the bean sprouts! Only (-)'s I must add is the simple fact that the bulgogi seemed to be really grounded up rather than chopped into thin slices. Also, the layer of meat was under a thick layer of veggies... especially for the price you pay.. it was hardly enough actual meat to feed 2 individuals..

Yelp
As a Korean-American from Los Angeles, I was kind of surprised to see a small ish Asian concentrated community around White Bridge, and was definitely appreciative as my digestion system was over days and days of fried food. I had the soondooboo (tofu stew), and they were kind enough to substitute the included seafood with beef per request. The stew was really good and hit the spot, not the best I've ever had, but I would not be surprised if this is the best in the area. The banchan (side dishes) they provide are also so good. I'm not usually one to work on the side dishes too much, but I pretty much demolished most of the 6 side dishes they provided. They said these are made in house. I also ordered the bulgogi as take out for a friend who told me that it was delicious. Service was also good. There were two Korean ladies going around helping every body. The older lady was friendly, but personally, I did not think her service was particularly friendly. She was happy to get anything I asked for, but everything was pretty much by request. If you have children, she will probably be pretty attentive to your table and your children in a good way, though. The younger lady was more personable and actively asking if I needed anything. Would recommend and would be back.

Yelp
If you're looking for delicious and authentic Korean food, this is your place to go. If you're looking for a fancy frilly atmosphere to dine in this may not be the place for you so just get your order to go. The food is incredible. The service is impeccable. Highly recommend.

Yelp
A tiny traditional Korean restaurant located in a strip mall. The food is delicious and served piping hot. The staff is friendly and very attentive. There can be a line as there are no more than a dozen tables tightly placed around a small dining room. I've eaten here for years and have never been disappointed!

Yelp
It's like having dinner at a family member's house. Super cozy! I was greeted by a kind woman who helped me select the perfect meal. I ordered the Bibimbap in a Hot Stone. It was AMAZING. 10/10. It comes out piping hot and come with an assortment of bonchons (fermented sides). The accompanying sauce is tangy, sweet, and a bit spicy. The portion size was plentiful. I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Korea House serves up some great Korean barbecue. This was the first time trying Korean food for most of us in our party of six, so we asked some questions about the menu before making our selections, and our waitress gave us some recommendations of popular items. Our group of friends shared the seafood pancake as our appetizer and it was delicious! For my entree I enjoyed the beef bulgogi. It is served with rice and accompaniments. Unfortunately, for the six of us, we only received two sets of the accompanying sides and I would have loved to have had more than a tablespoon of the cucumbers and bean sprouts (my two favorites). The meal was also served with rice, and we received a portion of rice with each meal. Also, our waitress never returned to offer refills on our drinks. Otherwise, we enjoyed our experience at Korea House and would return to try some other menu items.

Yelp
I love Korean food and this is a lovely authentic hole in the wall. The service is always usually pretty quick and and the staff is so friendly. Sometimes they get packed but it's still not an awful wait time. Probably a $15-30 price point depending on what you get, and so worth it. I get the Galbi usually which is $27 now I believe but it's a hit every time. It's so flavorful and a great portion as well as including the rice and side dishes. Love it here and I want everyone to go!

Yelp
I wish there was a 6 star option! First time eating here and it was an EXPERIENCE. The kind of food where you never want the meal to end. Best Korean food I've had in a looong time. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Place is very small but a good atmosphere for anybody wanting to eat in. The staff is very friendly. Everything we've had has been above board and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and left satisfied. We've had Bibimbop, fried rice, bulgogi, and probably a handful of other things. Bibimbop is excellent. Bulgogi and banchan are excellent. The fried rice was even good. We took a friend that had never been exposed to Korean food before and they liked everything they tried and said they would happily bring their family back when next in the area. Yay - we're influencers now! Seriously though, give this place a try. I'm pretty sure somebody's grandma is tickled pink at the food being served and I know we've always been pleased with our meals here.

Yelp
Korea House is my GO-TO for Korean food. The place is small but I've never had to wait, and they are VERY quick to bring out your order. You also get great Banchan with pretty much any order. Here's what I've tried: -Dolsot Bibimbap: 9/10 - So good!!! Get this with beef rather than tofu because there's more flavor that way. And DEFINITELY go for the Dolsot Bibimbap over the regular one, it's worth it. It comes out in a sizzling hot-pot (careful not to burn yourself) and you have to WAIT so that the rice gets crispy on the bottom. Oh my goodness so good. Then go ahead and mix that perfectly runny egg and all the mixins into the rice, give a generous squeeze of the two sauces they bring out in the red bottles (soy and gochujang), and enjoy!! The dish itself is very fresh, a very good portion, and on the less-flavorful end, but that's why you add your own sauces! The only other thing I will say, though, is that they don't give you a lot of meat for the price. -Kimchi Fried Rice: 9/10 - Super super flavorful. I'm not a big fried rice lover, but when my boyfriend ordered this, I ended up eating half just because it was so delicious. Highly recommend. -Fried Rice: 7/10 - Eh, it's normal fried rice. Not bad, nothing special. I never order it myself, though. -Bulgogi: 9/10 - DELICIOUS!! It is very greasy though, so be prepared for that. But the flavor is rich and it comes out with a generous amount of perfectly-cooked meat. -Goonmandu: 6.5/10 - I like dumplings, but these were pretty average, and to be honest I don't think deep frying them did any favors. They tasted very much of fried food, followed by a sem-flavorful filling. -Soondubu-jjigae: 7/10 - This spicy tofu stew was not too spicy, as someone who can handle medium spice, and the tofu was super soft and had a good texture. It came out bubbling like a cauldron which is super fun, but also means you should be careful not to burn your mouth. The actual seafood and soup part lacked depth of flavor in my opinion, and I mostly tasted heat more than anything else. There are so many other dishes I need to try, and I've seen others order the seafood pancake (it's huge!) and the jampong (also huge and looks super flavorful!) and have been enticed.

Yelp
This is hands-down the best Korean food in Nashville. While the restaurant is unassuming (located in a strip mall, small space), the food is outstanding. Order the dolsot bibimbap, which is served in a sizzling hot stone bowl. I like to get the tofu version, but you can also get beef. As the rice continues to cook in the bowl, you get these nice crispy bits that are caramelized, crunchy, sweet, and spicy. The service is very efficient, and the food comes out quickly. This is one of my favorite spots in Nashville, and I love any excuse to go to Korea House.

Charbelle D.

Yelp
The food was good, but how can you tell someone the tip you got was too small. A tip is someone giving you money from the bottom of their heart you can't be so entitled with someone else's money. I'm never going here again!!
google avatar

Yelp
A staple of authentic Korean food in Nashville. A small family owned shop with limited seating, when you step in you know you're gonna be treated to delicious Korean fares. Right when you are seated and start to order, a delicious selection of banchan (Korean appetizers, free) are brought out and enjoyed as you make the crucial decision. My friend and I shared three dishes which was the perfect amount of food for two starving foodies. It was a hot summer day so we shared the Naengmyeon (Korean Cold noodle) and it was so refreshing with its iced pickled radish soup base with cold buckwheat noodles and slices of beef. We also shared the classics, a tofu stew the sundubu chigae and the dolsot bibimbap. Both were brought out sizzling, the former mixing perfectly with the small pot of rice, and the latter cooking the rice to a perfect crisp edge in the stone bowl. The flavors were just right and paired perfectly with the trio we ordered. Highly recommend a visit on either a hot or cold day because their menu is as diverse as it is delicious!

Yelp
This place is pretty authentic and very busy. Seating is limited inside but they do offer carry out. Service was good but only one or two servers on hand. The food was good but could've used more seasoning or sauces. The sweet potato noodles were very good and we do recommend.

Yelp
My mom and i happened to stumble on this place during a random nashville trip. The food was absolutely stellar and authentic. Service was amazing from the moment you enter. The nice Ahjummas make you feel so welcomed. The ambiance is very homey while having a hole in the wall vibe. The food came out quickly and they made sure you were taken care of without having to ask the entire time! Im from Atlanta and this place rivals most of the Korean places ive had there.

Yelp
Delish! I love this place the original and first Korean restaurant in Nashville for years. The food is always good. The staff are great. Please try this place is you have not been. You will not be disappointed !

Yelp
The food is always great here. Even though we live out of town, we always try to come here when we are in town. The staff is friendly and recognizes us when we come. I highly recommend visiting here.
google avatar

Yelp
Delish. I had a feeling it was going to be fantastic. It has a simple or silly name, it's in a rando strip mall, Asian people are eating there, and the servers aren't really friendly. All of that usually means the food will be awesome. And it was legit Korean food. Banchan was all amazing and our entrees were terrific. If you want a lovely dining experience with great service, don't go here. But if you want fantastic Korean food, definitely eat here.
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
One of the few places to get authentic Korean food in Nashville! Have been here a few times and enjoy the complimentary banchan side dishes and kind service. I usually order a soup or rice dish and it always satisfies a craving. Giving four stars because it's not the best Korean food I've had in Nashville and in general, and the starters and dishes are on the pricier side.

Bill J.

Yelp
Always solid. The food here is very flavorful. The atmosphere could be better but the food makes it worth it.

Yelp
I've been to Korea house twice while visiting my cousin and let me say. That place has some wonderful food the tteoboki and bolgolgi we had were great and the ladies serving were really nice it's this great little family style hole in the wall. The service is nice the people are great

Yelp
Loveee Korea House! The aunties were so nice and the place was so clean. My coworker and I came here after a long day at work. We enjoyed the food and how sweet the aunties were. They ran out of homemade drinks, so I wemt for the sac sac orange since I was craving an asian drink. Yummy! It even had pulp. Who knew pulp in a can would be so yummy? We ordered the kimbap, soon du boo (idk how to spell) and the bulgogi. Delicious! Everything came out in a timely manner and was hot! My soup took forever to cool (my only 'complaint') but was so worth it on a cold day. My coworker said that his bulgogi was to die for! Next time we're in town, we're definitely swinging by. Thanks for the delicious food
google avatar

Craig B.

Yelp
This is a local favorite restaurant for a very good reason. Prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. My waitress helped me figure out how to mix my food and add the provided sauce. The dish was served in a pre heated bowl that cooks the raw vegetables in the dish as you stir it. The meat and egg are cooked through and the entire dish is on a bed of rice. The sides that came with it are really tasty! If you've never had Korean food give this local gem a try.
google avatar

Ssw W.

Yelp
Ever since the original owners sold the spot this place has been going downhill. Stingy with the portions and the sides being refilled. Up the prices, I think my favorite waitress may have left also ( -__-) she was the personality holding the recently downgraded place together.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
We wanted Korean food, chose Korea House for dinner Saturday night and it exceeded expectations. We had Yookgaejang, Bibimbap, and Galbi. Service was quick and every dish was perfectly prepared and was dinner than mani Korean restaurants I've been to in Northeast Atlanta or Annandale. Will definitely return on one of our next trips to Nashville!
google avatar

Yelp
I love everything about this restaurant. Every food I've tried in the menu is so good!! Service is great and it's always so busy. Korea house makes you feel like you're in korea honestly! Owners are very sweet! Definitely worth the try again and again.

Yelp
A nice little small restaurant. I came from working in a garden. I asked to wash my hands and was told the bathroom was only for customers. If not for all the good reviews on yelp, I would have turned around and walked out.The hot pot with beef was excellent. No explanation of what all the extras were. Halfway through the meal I stopped to text. Right away someone came to ask if I needed a to go box. The meal was very hot right til the end. I decided I would not get that again until the winter. Anyone that loves crispy rice would find a lot at the bottom of this dish. Very interesting over all. The pancakes at the next table looked good. A little more effort in the service would have been nice. I think there is some discrimination with Asians against white people. I really enjoy experiencing food from different cultures.

Yelp
Looking for authentic Korean food? Korea House is a great place to get your Korean fixing! Everyone knows it too since you almost always have to wait to get seated since they are usually packed (even on a Monday night) and no reservations!! One thing I love about this place is the unlimited variety of sides (banchan) that are tasty and authentic. The staff there is extremely friendly and very attentive. Prices are decent as well. For appetizers, I love the Kimbap (similar to Sushi) and it is a great portion size. It has beef, egg, crab stick, and some veggies inside as the filling wrapped with rice and seaweed. The Mandu's were also amazing, these were fried dumplings with beef. For entrees, I got the beef bulgogi and it was delicious. Good portion size, flavorful, and it comes with a bowl of rice. Add some of the sides and it is a full meal. They have a parking lot, so parking is not a problem here.
google avatar

Lydia W.

Yelp
I search for the best Korean food in Nashville and I found it! The best dish was the spicy pork with kimchi and tofu! The servers were a delight and very attentive to our needs. Will definitely go back when I'm back in town :)
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Amazing hole in the wall spot!! Delicious Korean food and the prices are great! Dolsot bibimbap: You have the option of regular bibimbap or Dolsot, which comes in a hot stone bowl. Do it for the experience - the only difference is the bowl, but I love that my rice gets crispy at the bottom on the bowl and sizzles. Caution - your food stays hot for a while! Bibimbap comes with rice, lots of veggie, beef bulgogi, and egg. Mix that with the red (slight spicy) gochujang sauce and it's superb! Kimbap: we shared the Kimbap which came with beef/pork and Kani crab and veggies. Delicious and great portion size! The Mandoo dumplings were freshly fried and phenomenal! The best part were the Korean side dishes that came with the food. Good space for large party as they can put several tables together.

Yelp
If you find yourself venturing out of the flannel, vintage ballcap and long mustache/hair combo of East Nashville near this place...and you want a REALLY damn good meal for 1/4 of the price of a chi chi place in East or Downtown...I highly recommend you come here. It's a completely unassuming restaurant in a strip mall. Walk in, sit your butt down and order the dolsot bibimbop, a spicy, sizzling clay pot of rice, meats, and vegetables with a runny egg. Cover that ishh in the bibimbop sauce, devour the amazing banchan (those tiny plates of sour, sweet, pickley, spicy things), and be transported to your happy place. I'm a pretty big Asian food snob, and I will never go anywhere else to get my fix of hot rice that will burn the roof of my mouth off because I'm too impatient to wait for it to cool down. Also, the grandmas that work here are the freaking sweetest. 5 stars all around. Love you guys.

Yelp
I had a massive craving for Yukejang and this place popped up on Yelp. They won a ton of 'Nashvilles Best', so of course I needed to try it! Yukejang is a spicy beef soup packed with root veggies and glass noodles that you eat with rice. You can dump the rice into the soup or take a bite of rice and follow it with the a spoonful of soup - it's yummy either way. They even provide a hefty serving of side dishes! The food definitely met my expectations. It was perfectly seasoned and had a good kick. The ladies were also very nice. A couple other people ordered the seafood pancake while I was there, so maybe that's a specialty of theirs I'll need to try next time!

Cortney B.

Yelp
Great authentic Korean food. Great and fast service for a quick lunch! Nice workers! Loved the Galbi!

Yelp
The food was really authentic and tasty. The service was great. That's why me and my family come as often as we can and looking forward to go back again. Korean food is the best.

Yelp
So looked forward to eating here on my family vacation trip. Epic disappointment. Sub par food quality and ok service. Small portions and jacked up prices. Very different from back in 2018.
google avatar

Yelp
Korean is one of those cuisines I could eat on a regular basis. A mix of fermented foods alongside nice sized meat portions and excellent flavors. In the Nashville area, there are not many Korean spots and only two I think are of note: Korea House and Fat Tiger (on 70 in White Bluff, near Dickson). I am not sure I rate this spot 5 stars, but it is definitely a solid 4. I gave the bump as it is one of the best spots I have eaten - atmosphere, service, and food - in the past few months. I ate with my daughter and did two of the most well known Korean dishes: Bimimbap and Bulgogi. As you can see by the photos, there is a lot that comes out. While I did not love all of the sides with the Bulgogi, there were some that were out of this world good. The place is small and sits in a little strip. The bad thing here is you will have a wait if it is the middle of the dinner rush as they are crowded every night. The good thing is the food warrants being crowded every night. Would I return? I thin the review pretty much sums it up that the answer is a firm yes.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
I stopped in for a late lunch. The place was packed, so I knew it was going to be good! They cleared a table for me pretty quickly. I went for what I usually get, bulgogi and mandu. I tried the cinnamon tea they had. It reminded me of Christmas. Pretty tasty. The food was great and they had great little side dishes. I was please with everything and left stuffed! I even had some dumplings to take with me. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

Gregory H.

Yelp
I have been going here for 10 years and the food quality has stayed the same despite a change in owners. My only complaint is that they recently raised their prices to a point I no longer think it is a fair price.
google avatar

Sam T.

Yelp
My apologies to all viewers. My bank works a bit differently than other banks. I would recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Natalie L.

Yelp
This is a great hole in the wall restaurant. The plaza that it's in is not the most exciting and the decor could use some updating, but the food is what you're here for. I come here for lunch about once a month with my co-workers and it has a very homey feeling. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and there's not a lot of seating so it can get quite busy during lunch and dinner hours. My go-to dishes are the beef bulgogi, galbi and japchae. The portions are big and I usually have leftovers to take home. I also love the side dishes that come with every meal, even if you get takeout. They have a large variety of side dishes and they refill them if you want more.
google avatar

Vicente J.

Yelp
Great food very friendly service amazing. Music was not loud it's perfect. The food was hot and fresh.
google avatar

Nicolette T.

Yelp
This place is so legit. I knew it was going to be good when I walked up for a weekday dinner and saw every table filled by 6PM. We put our name on the list and waited. So worth it. We ordered the Kimbap, galbi, and bibimbap. So worth it, all the entrees come with rice and sides or banchan. It was a feast. We topped the night with a bottle of grapefruit soju. So good!
google avatar

Morgan D.

Yelp
I have drive past Korea House for year and never even noticed it. A friend who lives in West Nashville took me here and now I am hooked. A no frills, Korean join has stolen my heart. The food is so flavorfully spicy in all the right ways. The spice doesn't burn it gives you all the flavors you didn't know you needed. I tried the Kimchi Fried Rice and the Bibimbap Hot Bowl. I was so full and had leftovers for lunch the next day for such a fair price. You cannot go wrong with Korea House and I can't stop telling people about it! Parking is plentiful and we had no wait on a Wednesday at 6:30pm.
google avatar

Kiley K.

Yelp
Such an authentic and unique little place! It was packed on a Friday but we were still able to get seated after 15 minutes or so. They have a great soju selection and prompt and friendly staff. The bulgogi had more flavor than the dolsot bibimbap but both were equally delicious in their own right. The sides were a fun way to try more flavors and we'll definitely be more adventurous with our next order!

I would like to add to the pile of 5 star reviews and "Best of Nashville " awards that line every square inch of wall space in this hidden gem on Charlotte Pike. How did I not know about this City favorite? Am I the last to find out? Apparently I am, because there wasn't an empty table. The steady stream of loyal customers kept coming in. It's a small but quaint family owned Korean restaurant that thoughtfully and elegantly represents the culinary culture of Korean cuisine. Its family friendly and offers an affordable and authentic approach to sit down dining. I felt that I got a great introduction to Korean food and it helped me to understand the flavors and textures on the first visit. I'm glad this was my first experience in exploring this new genre of food but it won't be my last.

Yelp
Korea House is a must each time I visit Nashville! The food is authentic, delicious, and plentiful. Everything I've tried has been great, but my favorite entree is the Galbi and favorite appetizer is the fried dumplings (the filling is perfection!). Service is wonderful and the ambience is like being in your family kitchen. A must try if you like Korean food!

Yelp
Me and my family went here for dinner and we had god awful and they were extremely rude. they made us wait for 20 minutes and was upset that the other half of our party was a bit late. they moved us multiple times, and made us feel like it was our fault that they had no where to sit us. we made a reservation and we said how many of us was going (7) and didnt reserve anywhere for us to sit either. we told her who was paying for what and she made my sister pay for meals and drinks she wasn't paying for. they didn't tell anyone that tip was required and made my sister pay $14 as a tip causing it to be $94. And the other people there were very judgmental and rude. their food was good, but everything else was awful. do not ever go here. THEY ARE ALSO EXTREMELY RACIST TOWARDS BLACK PEOPLE!!!!

Yelp
I've been coming here for well over 10 years now, and I thought I should update my review after dining in again yesterday (for probably the 100th+ time)... My favorite appetizers are the Tukbokgi, which is an extremely texturally pleasing dish of finger sized rice dumplings, fish cake, and egg in a mild but still brightly spiced sauce, and the Kimbap, which is a maki-style crab stick and sausage roll. In the summer, my go-to entree is the Mool Naengmyun, which is a cold pear broth beef soup with buckwheat noodles and vegetables. Also extremely texturally pleasing and refreshing. Any other time of the year it's the beef bulgogi or spicy chicken bulgogi. With that being said, I think I've tried almost everything else on the menu and you really can't go wrong if it sounds good to you. I could make a meal just off of the banchan dishes that come with most of the entrees. Give this little hole-in-the-wall in West Nashville a try. It's one of the best spots for amazing food and excellent service that you'll find dining in this city.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing flavor of bulgogi. Only way to make it better is if there was more meat for the price of the entree.
