The 12 Best Croissants In Paris

"The massive croissants at this bakery might look like the Michelin man, but they’re far from windbags. The crispy crust smells and tastes like fresh buttered toast, with a slight bitter note to counterbalance all that richness. The uncommonly long apple chausson balances bitter, butter, and sugar just as wonderfully. It’s filled with slightly chunky apple compote that’s so deeply caramelized it takes on the color of the Eiffel Tower. And if that’s not enough to make the Latin Quarter spot your new breakfast destination, its location overlooking the Seine will." - emily monaco

The 15 Best Bread Bakeries in Paris | Eater

"While not every visitor to Paris has the time or money to visit the historic Tour d’Argent restaurant, the operation’s next-door bakery, Le Boulanger de la Tour, is more than sufficient as a backup. A rotating menu of breads is available from the famed restaurant’s bakers. They’re so good, you can close your eyes and almost imagine you’ve nabbed a seat in the restaurant’s historic waterfront dining room. Located in the 5th arrondissement. Dayna Evans" - Dayna Evans

May 13 around 15h30 . That 1582 made me so intrigued and so i went in. Their dela tour cake was good. Im not a fan of super sweet cakes but this one could be better if it is 10% sweeter than it is. Service was dry. Girl, you gotta learn to smile or smirk a bit at least :) Anyway. if i ever pass by again, i would like to try their chausson de pomme and pain au chocolat which seems to be v. good accdg to reviews.

5 stars for the seating arrangement and the view. Croissant and pan chocolate was pretty good. Service could be better. Would recommend for sitting down and enjoying the view with some baked goodies.

Bought croissants and a chocolate brioche, which was so good. Might be best baked goods in Paris, after many trips here and living in this city for a full year at one point. Eat at the two small tables in front or walk across the street and look at the back of the Notre Dame and the Seine. Doesn’t get much better than this!

Lovely spontaneous stop. Their window sold us! Enjoyed this pistachio blueberry tart.

The almond and chocolate croissant was exceptional, the best from the boulangeries we tried and went back for more on another day despite the butter brioche being very dry and quite a disappointment. You expect certain things to be great in any French bakery.

We kept coming back to this boulangerie both for the amazing pains au chocolat as well as the baguette sandwiches. The tuna had delicious sundried tomatoes as well as lots of lettuce (although not always), making it almost a salad and a sandwich! The baguette bread had just the right amount of crunch to the crust but was perfect inside. Merci beaucoup!

The croissant was one of the best, perhaps top 5 I have ever had. And I am obsessed with croissant. I have eaten at least 2-3 each day from different boulangerie just to find the best. If you are like me, pls do come here & experience the masterpiece!

Definitely one of the best bakeries in Paris. The best chausson de pomme I ever had, because their puff pastry is one of the best I've tasted in Paris. There bread is great, too and their pastries are cheaper than any other famous pastry in Paris. All in all the prices aren't much higher or the same as a normal bakery and you will also find a lot of very expensive bakeries in Paris who aren't as good especially the new hipster ones.
