21 Great Paris Restaurants That Are Actually Open On Mondays - Paris - The Infatuation

"Le Saint Sébastien tends to fly under the radar—let’s change that. This former bistro is one of the city’s best date night fine dining restaurants. Take a seat, order a glass of grower champagne and a plate of exquisite Cantabrian anchovies, and peruse the menu of elevated French classics with creative twists inspired by the international staff. Steak tartare is gently spiked with chile de arbol (a revelation in a country that fears spice), and there’s always a vegetarian dish that never feels like an afterthought: think Austrian-style dumplings with local goat cheese, oozing comfort food richness yet plated like a work of art. Comfortable bar seating means this spot is perfect for last-minute decisions." - emily monaco

Le Saint-Sébastien

"It's an enticing offer in this neighbourhood bar turned into a hub of bistronomie cooking: a short menu that respects the seasons, very vegetable oriented, a judicious choice of seasonings, masterful use of herbs and spices to add character to the dishes… not to mention good natural wines. Spot on." - Michelin Inspector

The 15 Hottest New Restaurants in Paris

"Chef Rob Mendoza worked as sous chef at Willow’s Inn on Lummi Island near Seattle before moving to Paris and working at Verjus, one of the city’s best modern bistros. Now he’s opened his own place, with exposed stone walls and globe lamps, in the arrondissement that’s more of a nursery for emerging culinary talent than any other in the city: the 11th. The menu evolves regularly, but dishes like chicken wings with watercress, salsify in squid ink with egg yolk and chorizo, oyster mushrooms in mole sauce, and chocolate fondant with cardamom sauce reflect the chef’s international sensibility in the kitchen." - Alexander Lobrano

Lovely, cosy place to wine & dine. The wine list is long and has a nice page of wines by the glass. The lady serving the guests is enthousiastic and takes time to explain briefly the various wine options. Kitchen staff is highly skilled and brings great food on your plate. The menu has indeed Limited choice, but everything is top quality. Well recommended...

Fantastic place! Go here! One of the best meals I had during my stay in Paris. I went early around 19:00 on a Friday and the restaurant was basically empty. Super friendly service in English. The anchovies were meaty and delicious, the tartare had good salt and anchovy flavor and the cod was superb (especially the sauce!). Snack (anchovy), starter (tartare), main (cod) and 3 drinks (champagne, white wine and Armagnac) came in at 109€. The restaurant is named after the street. The server said it’s not a Basque restaurant but more international with French influence. The chef is Mexican so you can also see that influence (delicious!).

This was the first and best dinner I had in Paris. They thoughtfully recommended a wine that paired perfectly with our dishes, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Although it was quite warm inside, the wonderful food and wine more than made up for it — we had a fantastic time.

Delicious dinner, friendly staff! The tostada de rillette entrée and fish plat were excellent. I look forward to coming back.

We went on the earlier side on our first day. The food was absolutely delicious even in our jet lagged stupor. The staff were gracious with their time taking us through the menu and making recommendations. The wine they suggested was lovely and overall it was a wonderful start to our trip. The white asparagus was out of this world!

Google
Truly a PHENOMENAL meal. I’ve been to Paris before and this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. A great neighborhood atmosphere where people want to hang out after their meal with exceptional service and perfection in their food. The beef tartare is a must as well as all of the plats. There is not a single thing I ordered I wouldn’t order again or recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in the city. Tom (Hi Tom!) gave us the best wine recommendations to accommodate the entire groups taste and truly made us feel at home. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Google
This place is now on my list of places to recommend when friends ask for restaurant recommendations when they visit Paris. Very inventive flavor combos, with a little Mexican inspiration. I really liked the crunchy salad. Great wine selection. Service was very friendly but unusually slow. There are many great options in this neighborhood and this is one of the best I’ve found.

Yelp
What a special gem. Tucked away on a special little street. Off the beaten path. Trust me. You will not see a tourist here but fear not they kindly speak English if needed. Ok. Now the food. So fresh, simple and innovative. We met the chef and he is so passionate about his menu. This is an absolute must in Paris. The setting is sweet and simple. So lovely. And great wine list to boot. Come before this place becomes too popular.

Yelp
The server and kitchen were extremely accommodating of my dietary restrictions. I really appreciated that, and all four people in my party were happy with our meals, including entrées and dessert. Really nice atmosphere as well.

Yelp
Excellent food, poor service. We told the waiter we wanted to try different wines by the glass with our meal. The appetizer and recommended wine were excellent. The entrees, also excellent were dropped off with no follow up for more wine. We tried to get some service but couldn't help nibbling on the food until we were finished, still no offer for more drinks so we decided to go elsewhere. Sadly disappointing

Yelp
Fantastic meal in a part of Paris we had not previously been to but is filled with great restaurants. Great food, distinctive menu.

Yelp
Excellent food with engaging staff & lovely wine parings in a small but comfortable room.

Yelp
Best meal I've had in a long time. Had vegetarian starter and plat and both were amazingly delicious. Chocolate mousse dessert is to die for. Great vibe and wonderful waitstaff. Would pay for the flight from nyc to Paris just to eat here again
