Traditional & modern noodle soups, plus bubble teas, are prepared in a bustling food-court setting.
"Lifting Noodles shares a stall with Poke Burri (from the same team) in East Atlanta Village’s Qommunity food hall. The space is a bit cramped inside, with just a few picnic tables filling the skinny walkway, so use it for a quick takeout option when you’re craving ramen. Of all the various broth and toppings combinations on the menu, we usually go for Popeye’s Favorite Ramen, a slightly creamy chicken version with fried onion bits on top that give a little burst of crunch. There is, of course, spinach in this one but don’t worry, the bowl isn’t overloaded with the leafy green. Food Rundown Popeye’s Favorite Ramen With thick chicken broth, finely sliced chicken, spinach, and crispy fried onion bits, this bowl make a great option for a quick meal. Angry Zuko Ramen When we want some heat, we get this one. The pork broth with chili oil has a little bit of zip to it and the strips of black mushrooms mix well with the sweet corn. Fried Pork Gyoza A nice appetizer. They’re stuffed with ground pork, have a slightly crispy exterior, and come with a curry-like dipping sauce that adds heat." - Juli Horsford
"Island Noodles is always our festival food MVP. As soon as we spot the steam coming from huge woks, we start salivating for their delicious soy-drenched soba noodles mixed with broccoli, peppers, and snap peas. Plus, you get a generous portion of noodles, which are served in Chinese takeout containers that make it easy for us to walk and eat without missing a beat. Get these noodles to gear up for a high-energy set like Matt and Kim, so you can feel somewhat full without the regrettable after effects of greasier food options. " - jacinta howard, juli horsford
"Festival goers clutching green and yellow Chinese takeout containers and the strong aroma of wok-fired noodles can only mean one thing: Island Noodles is nearby. It’s our go-to festival food when we wanna feel full without slipping into a greasy food coma (because we need to be fully functioning during Kendrick’s set). And these containers are stuffed to the brim, overflowing even, with tasty, soy-drenched soba noodles, broccoli, peppers, and snap peas." - nina reeder, juli horsford, demarco williams
"With three Atlanta-area locations in East Atlanta Village, the Battery Atlanta in Cobb County, and in Duluth, the popular ramen stall born out of the Global Grub Collective in EAV (now Qommunity) continues to serve up its piping hot variations on traditional tonkotsu ramen, along with vegetarian ramen and a spicy seafood ramen." - Eater Staff
"Called Qommunity, Trinh is partnering with Poke Burri and Lifting Noodles Ramen owners Ken Yu and Seven Chan in the new food venture, which will also feature more indoor seating than the Collective and a bar and chef’s counter up front." - Beth McKibben
