"It’s always a good time of year to eat at this upscale bistro. During the summer, everyone wants a seat on the large leafy patio (it’s first come, first served). When it’s cold out, the cobblestone streets, copper bar, tin-tiled ceiling, and red-leather banquettes are the perfect setting for dinner with your parents before seeing The Nutcracker. Servers still wear ties and the menu is made up of beloved bistro dishes: french onion soup, beef carpaccio, and delicate angel hair pasta with shrimp in a spicy Cajun cream sauce. Take a picture outside the historic front entrance on the corner of Beck and Mohawk—the valet guys won’t judge." - erin edwards, kindra peach

Google
Easily my favorite place in Columbus since moving here in February. The vibe in here is so great & the people are even better! My boyfriend & I decided to celebrate our anniversary here after being recommended this place by multiple friends. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We made a reservation and while we wanted to check out the patio, the weather was not on our side but inside is still BEAUTIFUL! The food and drinks were unmatched. The atmosphere is chill & the perfect place to spend a date night. Our waitress Elena was INCREDIBLE! She was so sweet & attentive. Even brought us an anniversary toast on the house. We will absolutely be back. Try the Lindey’s Peach Bellini, Tropical Mule, Lindey’s Burger, and Shrimp Angel hair — You won’t regret it. Even the sourdough bread is to die for!!

I'm SO happy we got to dine at Lindey's on this trip. Final night in Columbus, and this was the perfect ending. Super fun atmosphere that is equal parts classic and modern. Service, from hostess to server, to bussers, was as good as it gets. Our server, Lisa, was fabulous! Intuitive, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. The food was all perfect. Gorgeous and delicious, we enjoyed everything! Cocktails were great, and the wine list isn't extensive, but it's really good. Plenty of wines by the glass are offered. This was easily our favorite dining experience in Columbus. Cannot recommend more highly!

Google
First time in Columbus and Lindey’s was a place we heard we HAD stop at. We walked across town for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and had the most amazing Service and food!!! Our Server Sarah was a GEM! So professional and helpful. Perfect service! When we told her we were first time visitors to Columbus, she even wrote us a quick list of places we should see in the city while we were here. Thank you soooo much Sarah!!! If you’re in the Columbus area you NEED to stop at Lindey’s!!!

Google
Outstanding service. Interesting menu. Excellent cocktails. The compressed watermelon was a perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and salty. The music was a little loud for conversation, but the experience was still great.

Google
Tried the chicken dish with the minestrone soup as an appetizer. Can't remember all the things that were in and came with each dish but they seemed as a perfect compliment. Restaurant didn't seem that busy tonight from the way all the reviews speak, but it's also not the weekend. As a party of one, was able to walk in and sit down at the bar or a table without a reservation. There's multiple men standing outside ready to valet your vehicle. The presentation of the food was outstanding and the staff was very polite and professional.

Google
A very late post from a delicious client dinner in Columbus, OH! Did some research and this place looked great for an impressive dinner…it lived up to the billing…table full of appetizers, great service, wonderful vibe to the restaurant…was lively and not pretentious in the least bit…surprisingly good shishito peppers but everything we had was well thought out and delicious! Check them out if you’re in the area!

Google
The food and atmosphere at this restaurant were both lovely. Cocktails were alright, each round took around 20 minutes to come to our table. The biggest let down here was the service. Our server was no more than an order taker. No questions of allergies, celebrations etc. No explanation or spiel whatsoever about the menu, specials or what they’re known for. No recommendations. No follow up questions on things (like when we ordered a couple of call cocktails we weren’t asked preferred liquor, if we’d like it up or on rocks etc.) Very disappointing, and if you feel like going to a nice restaurant where you’ll be spending more than $100 per person before tip I’d highly recommend you go somewhere that they prioritize service & have a more welcoming and knowledgeable/ trained wait-staff.

Google
Made a reservation for my birthday brunch and it was fantastic! Our waiter was great and very knowledgeable. I ordered the lobster bisque and crab & egg, I loved it! The food was fresh and my friends enjoyed as well! Valet is free on Sundays! We had a good time. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
If you have one meal in Columbus, have it at Lindey's. This German Village staple has been around since the 80s, and for good reason! The restaurant is stunning - beautifully appointed with amazing art pieces. The service was wonderful! Our waiter, Andrew, was incredibly patient and helped us navigate through the extensive menu, offering suggestions along the way. Finally, the food was spectacular! Our table started with the burrata and carpaccio - they were both excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the steak frites and stole a few bites of the shrimp and lobster risotto. We finished our meal with some of the best creme brûlée I've ever had. Bonus points: dedicated gluten free menu!

Yelp
This restaurant is a true gem in Columbus. Beyond its rich history, the food, atmosphere, and customer service are on another level. We thoroughly enjoyed both our appetizers and main course. Here's a little story about fine dining in Columbus, Ohio, where tradition and excellence come together seamlessly. Sue Doody, founder of Lindey's, was born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1934. After teaching public school for several years, she ran a small catering business and held cooking classes in her home before launching Lindey's in 1981, located in the historic German Village. As a divorced mother of four with no formal culinary training, Sue grew Lindey's into a Columbus, Ohio dining landmark over the next 43 years. Since its opening, Lindey's has consistently ranked among Columbus' Top 10 Restaurants. Sue's passion for people and her commitment to genuine hospitality have created an exceptional dining experience in Columbus. Today, her legacy continues through her sons.

Yelp
We had heard so much about how good Lindey's is and it still managed to exceed our expectations! We were seated out on the patio for lunch, which is a really nice space with a fountain in the middle and wrought iron fencing. We started with the complimentary bread basket (which came with warm sourdough, fresh baked cheesy crackers, and soft butter) and ahi tuna tartare, both of which were very good. The fact that the bread came out warm was a huge plus. Their menu advertises that you can buy a fresh loaf to take home and I see why! The tuna was good quality and came with smashed avocado and soy sauce- just a solid tuna tartare. The star of the meal for me was the nut crusted chicken salad, which was truly one of the best salads I've ever had. The chicken was SO flavorful and stayed juicy with the perfect crispy exterior. Every element of the salad went together so well- the freshness of the greens and apple, the smokiness of the bacon, and the sweetness of the honey mustard were all perfect together. I asked for it without tomatoes and they kindly obliged. We also got the daily grilled cheese special, which had ham, Gruyere, and provolone and came with a cup of excellent tomato bisque. The sandwich was a bit smaller than we expected, but the flavor was fantastic and it was still a very satisfying meal- especially with the bisque. We paired our meal with a few cocktails (including the Commonwealth and the Spring Day) and really enjoyed those too. We could not stop talking about our meal and loved everything we had!

Demi F.

Yelp
Food was excellent! I got the Croque Madame per recommendation of the waitress, who was very attentive and kind. The atmosphere is beautiful. I was excited to finally have an excuse to come eat here!

Cynthia N.

Yelp
We came here once again but this time it was a private event . We had our in-laws 64th Anniversary dinner here . We used the library room and it was a very nice size for the family . The servers were very professional and attentive. The food was very delicious.

Yelp
Always 5* and glad to say it was today as well, for Sunday Brunch. Our server Elena is a pro, well trained, efficient, personable. FYI. Reservations are not applicable for the patio. That's first come first serve. At 11am there were 30 people in line. Valet is free, tips only. We had the Eggs Lindey's (always excellent) and salmon dish. The Bloody's are perfect. Top 5 restaurant in all of Central Ohio for over 40 years.

Yelp
Lindey's is a Columbus landmark for a reason - great food, creative drinks, classy ambiance & exceptional, friendly service! I highly recommend what could be the world's best French onion soup, the pork chop & don't pass up the freshly baked bread!

MaDonna W.

Yelp
We popped into this adorable enchanting garden type setting post dinner. We sat amongst the beautiful people in the garden as we sipped our Chardonnay. And bopped to some of the greatest hits. Even though we did not eat here on this night, we vowed we would come back and have dinner in the actual restaurant. It's so beautiful. so chic and happening.

Minji K.

Yelp
Lindey's is definitely the place to go for a romantic night out or celebration! The decor is beautiful, with chandeliers and paintings all around. As for appetizers, the burrata paired really well with watermelon pico and toasted sourdough; it was such a refreshing way to start the meal. Our waiter was super sweet and let us know a pro tip, which is that you can do half portions of most of their entrees so you can try more items! The lobster risotto was such a comforting dinner item. It was a porridge like rice dish with shrimp, lobster, asparagus, cheese, and herbs. I asked them to add freshly ground black pepper for extra spice. If you want some meat and potatoes, tournedos of beef is an excellent choice. The filets were super tender and the mashed potatoes and crispy onion straws really filled me up! The NY Strip Steak is a classic option, and you can choose a side from whipped potatoes to green beans and broccolini. The potato pave had a great texture. The steak paired well with a glass of Shiraz If you're into coffee and chocolate, the Lindsey's Post Mortem will hit the spot. It had a mountain of coffee ice cream sitting on a chocolate brownie and topped with warm, kahlua hot fudge. The hot fudge made it super sweet so this one is definitely for the sweet tooths out there! Although the heat wave is real right now, I'd love to go back on a cooler night to enjoy the patio! It's located in a quiet neighborhood in German Village so you can walk and explore after as well! Complimentar parking is also a perk

Yelp
According to the locals, this place is an institution here in Columbus. They say it is one of the fancier places in the German Village. Definitely a place to impress someone. Service was good, ambiance was even better. The food was good, however, maybe I'm spoiled and have had better chicken elsewhere. I ordered the rotisserie half chicken with mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, and carrots which was $29. My chicken thigh was moist, the breast was a bit dry. I did like the crispy skin on top. Dare, I say Costco chicken might be slightly better? One of the folks in my party had to send back something to the kitchen because it wasn't cooked completely. They did comp a lobster bisque for the error. Folks, it just goes to show that fancier ambience doesn't always guarantee a delicious meal.

Yelp
Best patio in town is definitely at Lindey's. The vibes are immaculate but the inside is also cute too. Now if you go here, plan to spend a little chunk of change but I promise it's worth it. This is a beautiful upscale restaurant that serves up many delectable dishes. Never have I gone and not received great service. Especially for special occasions, they truly go the extra mile to make it special. I love their food and if you like soup then you MUST try the lobster bisque and the French onion soup. They are both sooooo good. The potstickers are also in the best sauce, I have never had them prepared this way and they were a hit with our group. Also, if you love chocolate you have to try the Lindey's post mortem. It's a warm chocolate brownie with coffee ice-cream and it was absolute heaven. If you're looking for a cutie bestie date, regular date, or special occasion spot, then please check this place out for a fabulous meal and experience!

Jayme J.

Yelp
Lindey's is comfortable in the fact that it's always the same & you know what you're going to get & know it's going to be good. I wish they changed up their menu every once in a while.

Corissa L.

Yelp
This place has a classic formula and an old school feel. The service was friendly, the drinks nice and strong, and the food was good. This is a place where you'll find familiar flavors, and good classic cooking. It's not inventive, creative or modern, but sometimes you just need good, delicious and familiar food. The French Onion soup is exactly what you'd expect. The pork was perfectly cooked and tender. The risotto was creamy. The tiramisu cake was wonderful, and so were the expresso martinis. It was a good meal, and I would recommend as it's truly a classic.

Jane G.

Yelp
Lindey's is great for date night or for bringing out-of-town guests. It has an old-timey, transatlantic accent, sophisticated sort of feel, with white tablecloths, expertly polished servers, and a patio surrounded by brick, ferns, and soft lighting. The angel hair pasta, salmon, and tagliatelle were all excellent. Perfect spot for brunch or dinner!

Kate W.

Yelp
I visited Lindey's on a Sunday morning for brunch. One of my favorite things about Lindey's is their complimentary valet! It can be challenging parking in German Village, so this service takes a lot of stress out of your visit. I had made a reservation about a week in advance and had asked if it could be for the patio but was told that was first come, first serve. When I arrived they asked if I wanted the patio, and I said yes. They said there was a wait but that I was first in line, which was fine, however they would not give me a time estimate. We ended up waiting about 30 mins -- this was fine as the rest of our day was free but it is frustrating that you cannot make a reservation for it (not sure that our reservation even mattered since we were just added to another waitlist upon arriving) and when you arrive you cannot know how long you will be waiting. I'm not sure why making a reservation for the patio can't be an option as I've seen it at many other restaurants. If you do have the time, I highly recommend the patio as it is stunning! We were seated next to the fountain and it was beautiful. I ordered the iced oat milk latte and my boyfriend had the French press coffee that they press for you at the table and leave the rest. We started with the beignets and then I ordered the Eggs Lindeys and he had the burger. The drinks were delicious and the beignets were also very good, they could have used a little more powdered sugar, but were warm and not too sweet. The Eggs Lindeys were delicious, the eggs were perfectly poached and the filets were cooked perfectly. My boyfriend said the burger was good, however, he had asked for no onion or tomato and they left all the other toppings off as well. When the bill came we were pleasantly surprised, as their dinners can be quite pricey. After the initial frustration of the reservations and waiting for a table, we had a great time. We will definitely be back for another patio brunch, but most likely without a reservation.

Danielle H.

Yelp
Still my favorite patio in Columbus!! Food is consistently great. The drinks are delicious and the Happy Hour is reasonable. A Columbus landmark! Love Lindeys.

Susan K.

Yelp
A lovely restaurant I have been to many times, especially for special occasions. Beautiful interior, great food and usually excellent service.

Ines D.

Yelp
First brunch at Lindey's to celebrate bestie being done with the MCAT! It was a gorgeous restaurant with the best of vibes. All of the staff was so kind and attentive. We put in a reservation for 1pm and requested to sit outside which had a wait time. The wait ended up being about 10 minutes which i did not mind at all. Immediately after being sat we were given water and our server assisted us with providing menus. I ordered the quiche which was fantastic. I know I say that about a lot of the food I eat but man this quiche really had me in a chokehold. It was unlike anything I've ever had and I honestly could have eaten the whole pie. Overall the experience was top tier! One of Columbus' gems!!

Sarah N.

Yelp
Reservations are a must if you plan to go to Lindey's. The bar seating is open, however, but it can still be difficult to grab a seat. The bar server was excellent. She was very busy but managed to take my drink and food orders and get everything out to me. When you dine in, you also receive complementary bread and butter. The thing crisp wafer like bread is packed with flavor! If you get the chance, I recommend coming during Restaurant Week as well. There are items on that special menu that are not on their usual menu. For example, there was a carrot salad and brownie that I don't ever recall seeing normally. And the duck risotto! I've never had anything so delectable before. Great place for a classy date night, or even a special night out to yourself.

Yelp
Just flown in for a short stay and was famished - stumbled upon this quality eatery so thought we'd try. Didn't disappoint at all. For the three of us we had a few drinks before the meal and Irish coffee, port wine with the desserts. For starters and main we as usual went all in to try as many dishes as we could so we ordered the crispy chicken wings which were tasty but not crispy.. calamari and shrimp which again wasn't crispy but very tasty and I loved both the seafood sauces. Also loved the bread which was served nice and warm with whipped butter. For main, the guys shared a tomahawk but I thought it looked very small despite split into two plates while I had the barramundi. The fish was cooked to perfection but the crispy shoestring potato fries were again not crispy.. very strange how all the 'crispy' dishes were not crispy... the tomahawk was tasty and well seasoned. Good quality beef. For desserts we had the scrumptious basque style cheese cake and the must have Post Mortem brownie with coffee ice cream and Kahlua hot fudge - this dessert is a must ! Our server Rob was very attentive and very friendly. We enjoyed the service - not too much but we felt well taken care of. As for the ambiance, the indoor dining is more formal with candle lit whereas the patio is no reservation first-come-first serve basis. The weather was quite pleasant, a little humid but not too hot to dine Al fresco. We enjoyed the whole experience and quite tempted to return soon..

Yelp
I was instructed to head to German Village for the best cuisine in Ohio. The service is fabulous. Very professional and respectable staff. Classy comes to mind. The dining room was surreal. We felt like royalty. Very relaxing. The entire experience was truly unforgettable. Let's talk food. Tournedos of Beef-two 4 oz. filets with béarnaise, buttermilk chive mashed potatoes, asparagus. I bet you're hungry now! A must: The Australian Sea Bass. Careful. It features a jalapeño tabasco drizzle. But so worth it. Do not leave without trying the Lobster Bisque, the Ahi Tuna Tartare or the Calamari & Shrimp. Not into seafood? Open with their Roasted Beet Hummas on toasted ciabatta. Why is it so great? Maybe the combination of feta/fennel/carrot/arugula. I think it's the smoked onion vinaigrette! 06/24

Yelp
The nicest, most professional restaurant I've visited in Columbus so far. Ambiance: Can't be beat. The patio is beautiful. It's apparently inspired by New Orleans balconies and patios, and I definitely see it. Sitting out on the balcony in the patio on a warm summer night, I felt like I was on a more tropical vacation. It's easy to forget you're in a city in Ohio! The attention to detail in this place is impressive too - you're not going to find water spots on your glasses or silverware here. Everything is pristine. Service: Professional, friendly, efficient. The standards for service are obviously high. Food: Fantastic! The cocktails are a highlight - they are creative and novel, every one is worth trying. I highly recommend the pork chop. The burrata and grilled rigatoni were delicious as well. We had the creme brûlée with berries for dessert, which was perfect. For this quality and professionalism, the prices are incredibly reasonable. The meat dishes are the priciest items (no surprise), but there are entrees in the $20-30 range. Cocktails, starters, and desserts are priced on par with other local restaurants. I hope to come back here for brunch or even just drinks and snacks. Lindey's certainly deserves its glowing reputation!

Jim L.

Yelp
Amazing Thanksgiving experience! Thank you Lindsey's for making us feel like at home in our living room. Food was the best ever!

Tyler W.

Yelp
The star of the show was the meal. Eggs Benedict added spinach. Service was a little weird this time. The guy that took care of me was nice but failed on steps of service. No spoon, creamer, or sweeteners offered or brought over with my coffee. Never came to check on my app so I could order my entree. Wasnt really checked on at all. I had to grab someone for everything I needed. Not the usual for this spot hence the rating. Love their brunch and Lunch!

Mallory H.

Yelp
Ambiance - I have been inside the restaurant a few times, but this was my first time on the patio and it was absolutely delightful! The inside gives an old classic steakhouse vibe while outside you feel like you're in Europe. I have 1000% recommend going to the patio. Unfortunately, it is first come first serve so I can only imagine how crazy it is on the weekends but we went on a Monday evening and we waited 15 minutes for a table for two. Service - as always the service was incredible. The staff is always so friendly there. Food - the cocktails and wine are absolutely fabulous. Everything on the menu looks so good. For starters we got the potstickers and they were fantastic. I was actually surprised the serving size was really big. They gave you eight potstickers. The French onion soup is to die for, the cheese pull is just everything I needed in my life. For dinner, I got the lobster and shrimp risotto and it was amazing. The sauce was so creamy and perfect. All of the seafood was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got the pork chop and he really loved it. The star of the show was definitely the dessert. We got the apple bread pudding and it was so so so so good. It's safe to say that I will be living on the patio this summer!!

Kelly T.

Yelp
The food was really good. I love a bread basket. I had Steak Frites & fries. It was delicious. There deserts are incredible.

Gd I.

Yelp
This has to be the best brunch place in the city. I believe sitting on the patio makes the dining experience more enjoyable. I tried the beignets and they were pretty tasty. I got the iced vanilla oat latte , it was pretty tasty. I got the bacon eggs and toast meal which was 10/10. They bacon and everything was definitely delicious. Our waiter was phenomenal. I'm really glad I got to go and try the brunch yet again. If you haven't had breakfast, lunch or dinner on the patio. Please make a reservation and treat yourself !!

Demetrius B.

Yelp
Lindsey's is an easy 5 stars for ambiance and service. Its inside is traditional/formal, and it's the kind of place that you dress up for a bit. On the outside, it's multi-level patio is outright beautiful and a must-visit weather permitting. At the same time, it *is* a restaurant and the food will always be the biggest factor. I went for brunch and tried various items. The beignets were big and fluffy and lightly dusted in powdered sugar. They weren't as dense or sweet as you might expect, and the berry coulis served with them was fine. However the cinnamon butter served with the sugar sprinkled angel biscuits was really good. The croque madame was nice, and the croissant that enveloped it was an interesting treat. The brunch burger was average, and the most memorable part of it was that the toppings just slid off the base and made it difficult to eat. The brunch date ended ended on a high note with white chocolate pot de crème. Definitely would get that again, and truly I would visit Lindsey's for happy hour/dinner if the occasion warranted a fancier location.

Nadira Y.

Yelp
I had a really nice 3 course meal at Lindey's as it was restaurant week. It's also a plus that complimentary valet is provided. I highly suggest making a reservation. I reserved a spot two weeks in advance, but was only able to get a table for 8pm or later. Service was very attentive and nice. I had answered "celebrating anniversary" to the question of special occasion on the reservation. Perhaps because I did that, we got a corner booth table and had an actual candle lit dinner, instead of a battery powered candle like the other tables there. There was, however, no other gesture for the occasion. For starters, we got the confit chicken wings and chilled crab and artichoke dip. The chicken wings were plenty and they tasted great. They had the perfect cook to them and a nice flavor. The crab dip had a lot of crab meat and it was a pretty big amount, so we could not finish. We were also served a complimentary bread basket. The bread was hard and I did not care for it, but the flatbread crisps were very tasty. The portions of all the food was perfect. For our mains, I got the 6 oz filet and my husband got the ruby trout. We both enjoyed our meals a lot. The filet had the perfect cook and was delicious and my husband really enjoyed his fish. The fish with the succostash tasted great and he said he would get it again. For dessert, I got the tarlet that had a mix of guava and passion fruit. If you are a lover of tropical tastes, this dessert is for you. It was decadent and the tart was so silky smooth with a yummy crust. I would get this dessert every time I am there. My husband got the chocolate creme brulee, which was light and a nice end to his dinner. My only critique is that I noticed that the chocolate custard was a bit runny and could have set more. This is a great place to go for a nice dinner or any celebration. I highly recommend trying them out on restaurant week as you can try a variety of items for much less. We will definitely come here again.

Matt L.

Yelp
We went for brunch. We sat inside, but they have a first come first serve patio that is lovely. The service was excellent and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The smoked salmon Rostti and the chilaquiles verde were the 2 favorites.

Rome L.

Yelp
Came in to take advantage of the highly coveted HH (bar area only) Kiev Mule - didn't care for King Crimson - pepper was a touch too much for me Wings - not a fan of blue cheese but the sauce was really good (like a sweet Thai chili) Calamari & Shrimp - I'm always slightly heart broken when I don't get a side of red sauce with my calamari Potstickers - are fried not steamed, really enjoyed them Burrata - really good, hard to mess up a classic. The bread was actually amazing, crispy but still still soft enough to bite in to with out needing dental work. As many have said before me. Lindy's happy hour is near impossible to beat, and I will definitely be back. I would love it if they posted an updated HH menu every now and again so you could know when the current offerings change

Jingjing W.

Yelp
Went there first time last night. The building is just beautiful, and the interior still kept rustic style, the waitress are very nice and gave us good suggestions on cocktails, I love mine, I think it is commonwealth, and for appetizer we ordered beef carpaccio, it is delicious. Our main dishes are really good as well. But the dessert is not as good as I expected, I love a good tiramisu, but theirs just not there.

Sidney D.

Yelp
A delightful place with a fine dining atmosphere. It has great service, including a complementary dessert for birthdays. Everything pictured was flavorful and a joy to eat. The only entree that may be avoided in the future would be the French onion soup (I felt it was too salty). Definitely a place to go for a classy dinner with reliable menu options!

Danielle M.

Yelp
Lindey's is definitely a family favorite! My parents got married in the event space upstairs and I have nothing but great memories there. Lindey's is definitely a restaurant to get into and they do book up so get your reservations early. It's my go to for birthdays or any special events. My favorite is the Tournedos of Beef. You get two 4 oz filets on top of a baguette with bearnaise, buttermilk chive mashed potatoes, asparagus and onion straws. Everything you order comes out as perfection. If you're wondering about appetizers which we rarely get because the entree portions are so big, you should try the Calamari and Shrimp! My step mom loves the Carpaccio which is pictured below and she eats it as a meal. For dessert, you have to try Lindey's Post Mortem. You get a brownie with coffee ice cream, and kalua hot fudge. I always sub out to coffee ice cream for vanilla so much better!! Definitely check out Lindey's on your next adventure to German Village!

Markeisha M.

Yelp
Lindey's was great! Food was delicious and seasonal drinks were spot on. I loved the low ambient lighting, allow for some mental relaxation! Service was great, host even stopped over during meal to check in.

Payal P.

Yelp
I was visiting with friends at 4:30 pm. The menu options for a vegetarian were underwhelming. No vegetarian wants to order a salad at every restaurant, and three of us ended up ordering the same vegetarian entree that was available -- rigatoni. Even the taste of that was underwhelming. I also ordered the cauliflower which was nothing special either. I even asked if there was specials or anything else the waiter could recommend and that was the only thing. The peach Bellini was maybe my favorite part of the entire night. I would recommend to grab drinks, but that's all. Probably won't be visiting for anything other than a drink or app in the future.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in the city. I'm always happy to return here. Personal favorites are the carpaccio and the chicken for the main course.

Yelp
Went here for a special occasion at first, then became a fan of their happy hours. Really nice upscale atmosphere, white linens on the tables, very attentive staff. I waited for nothing. The French onion soup was deep and rich in flavor. Good melt on the cheese. The star of the show was the pork chop! Wonderfully cooked, tender and juicy, topped with a delicious sauce. You can't go wrong with dinner here, but the appetizers at happy hour are a win as well!

Yelp
Lindey's is always a fave! Had the chance to go during Restaurant Week and it was $50 for a three-course meal, which is truly a deal at this place.

Yelp
I've heard nothing but good things about Lindey's and finally found my way there. My brother and I enjoyed a delicious brunch. We started with the Carpoccio. I ordered the Eggs Lindey which was cooked to perfection! My brother enjoyed the Turkey sandwich. There was an ample amount of Turkey on his sandwich. Our water glasses were never empty and our server was very attentive.

Yelp
I love this place. It's a very classy place and the food is amazing. The service is always great here. A very good place to celebrate any occasion.

Yelp
This is when I wish Yelp allowed half star reviews. I think the proper rating for our experience at Lindey's last night is 3.5 stars. We arrived at 8:30 thinking that was when our reservation was. It was our mistake, it was actually for 8:00. I appreciated that they still sat us and didn't make us feel guilty for the mixup. This was a sign of what was to come service wise. The staff are fantastic professionals and treated us great, especially our server. We started with cocktails. I got their take on an old fashioned that was $16, a bit much, but was tasty. For an appetizer we ordered the tartare and it was my favorite thing we ate. The rice chips were fantastic. The tuna and avocado were perfect. The sauce was salty but not overly so. We asked our server for recommendations on entrees. We got the angel hair, and it was great. The blackened salmon was fantastic. We also got the lamb chops and it that was a huge bummer, and the main reason for the 3.5 stars. We ordered the lamb medium rare and it came out hammered. Absolutely no red or pink on that meat. The potatoes it came with were oddly undercooked. What a disappointment. The decor and vibe at Lindey's is great. Loved the wood paneled bar. I can see why it's such a famous spot.

Yelp
Celebrated our anniversary here. Truly cannot say enough how fantastic our experience was. Ambiance was incredible and romantic. Patio was great. Our service was impeccable, believe our servers name was Kalayah. She was one of the best servers I've ever had. Extremely attentive and friendly, perfect timing on everything, and went above and beyond. Food was a 10/10 across the board. Didn't have a single thing that wasn't perfect. Truly cannot recommend enough.

Yelp
This place is really great. The happy hour is the best in Columbus, honestly. The prob is the little bartender with red hair is NOT happy. In fact she will make your happy hour a sour hour in 5 min flat. I have yet to catch her on a happy day. Hoping it will happen in the next 5 years while I can still enjoy a night out with my old man. Godspeed patio go-ers! She's a grumpy one and it doesn't match the Lindey vibe at all :((((

Yelp
I had surprisingly never been to Lindeys but have lived in cbus my whole life! Last night we went without reservations at around 4:30 and were seated immediately on their beautiful patio. The space is gorgeous outside. We started with the calamari and carpaccio. The beef carpaccio was great, and was a large portion for a good price. The calamari was good, but not my favorite in the city. I would probably pass on this next time. We then split a side Caesar salad and I loved it! The pistachios (I think ?) gave it some salt and crunch. I had to pasta that came with broccolini and sausage. YUM. The portion was perfect and the pasta was cooked just how I liked it. He had the risotto, which is his favorite there. I special ordered a drink that normally comes with tequila, with vodka, and they were happy to accommodate me. Overall I will be back! Great food!

Yelp
Location: 169 E. Beck St. Columbus, Ohio 43206 Website: https://www.lindeys.com/ Menu: see website Reservations: see website ( opentable ) Parking: valet available Brunch on a Saturday with friends. Very easy to navigate reservations online (highly recommend) and delightful menu, staff, and service. We elected to walk from tough-to-find street parking spaces near The Book Loft. Lindey's has valet parking, though - a nice feature. The patio is spectacular but a bit too early in the season for our visit (ready soon though). We were seated inside, and it is a beautiful space. The art, the decor, the lighting ... all beautiful. The brunch menu is extensive. 2-3 eggs Benedict recipes and a few unexpected items (salmon tartine, huevos rancheros among features available) My tip? Find something that comes with their rosemary breakfast potatoes. Little gems roasted to a level of crispness that is perfect - with a nice bit of rosemary and spices. If you're up to a cocktail (or 2) for brunch you are in for a great one (or two). Outstanding experience.

Yelp
Everything was good, reasonably priced. Nothing really stood out though. Service was ok at best Nice ambiance. I liked the dark wood combined with a modern touch of table decor

Yelp
This restaurant is a treat. We came for lunch and sat at the bar. We loved the old school vibe with both waiters and customers dressed nicely. Our bartender was friendly although we stuck with water and lemonade for lunch. The lunch menu had too many great choices. We opted for the nut crusted chicken salad and the blackened shrimp salad. Both were fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. We loved the German Village area of Columbus and especially Lindey's!

Yelp
Food was great. We asked the waitress what her favorite thing on the menu was and we ended up chatting about a lot of the items because they all sounded so good. I would recommend making a reservation to avoid having to wait during prime dining times.
