Lola Review - Sylvan Park - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Restaurants serving small plates and people you meet with an album coming out next week—both are ubiquitous in Nashville. Not every spot or record is a hit, but Lola is. This Sylvan Park Spanish spot has a few guaranteed bangers: the crispy artichokes with basil citrus glaze, the beef montadito with onion jam, and whatever the chef’s tapas is that day. Find a seat at the bar or a small table in the shockingly white dining room and sip an olive-and-herb-forward Lola martini while you snack on whatever the rotating croqueta they’re serving." - Ann Walczak

The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Nashville’s Sylvan Park | Eater Nashville

"Sylvan Park’s resident tapas spot, Lola offers a full suite of Spanish favorites like papas bravas, croquetas, and cheese and charcuterie board options. During warmer weather, the patio is packed with locals enjoying social hour from 4 to 6 p.m. daily, featuring classic cocktails and small plates for under $10 each." - Kellie Walton

Great ambiance and delicious food! The parking lot is small so be ready to find parking and walk. The service was great and the choices were plentiful. We tried the crispy artichokes, green salad, butternut squash croquettes, and the most unique delicious chicken sandwich with house bread, aioli, sesame chili crunch, cured egg yolk, and a small salad

This place is a 10/10. Usually there is one or two dish that failed but they were all Solid. The waitress and the ambiance were 10/10. I love it!

Checked this place out briefly and was impressed with how tidy, organized and clean it was. Great food and was served swiftly! The staff was very welcoming too

Still one of the best small plates restaurants in Nashville! Lots to sample, the Crispy Artichokes and Coquettes have lots of textures and subtle flavors. Make sure to ask about the croquette filling, it varies. The Albondigas are done perfectly, served with a light curry. The Basque Cheesecake tastes like a Creme Brûlée. Service at the bar was good. The interior is bright, simple, classy, light interior. Parking is limited, reservations are suggested, seating is limited and the bar is small. While there is a full bar and wine list, both have limited selections. The background sound is loud,

I swear, every time I come here, I want to eat the entire menu. The food is excellent and the service is top notch! You can’t go wrong with Lola. If you want to be seated quickly though, definitely make a reservation. The space is smaller and it’s always a packed house.

From the moment we stepped into this charming Spanish tapas restaurant, we were greeted with warmth and elegance. The crispy artichoke and croquettes were absolute delights, bursting with flavor and perfectly crunchy. I indulged in a refreshing non-alcoholic rose that complemented my meal beautifully. My mom opted for the breakfast plate which featured crispy house-made potatoes, savory pancetta, and whole wheat toast with raspberry orange jam alongside impeccably flavored scrambled eggs. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to quality ingredients and skillful preparation. The atmosphere here is simply enchanting with its classy decor and abundant natural light, accompanied by great music that enhanced our dining experience. The service was exemplary; attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our needs promptly met. Overall, this restaurant exudes a fantastic vibe that is perfect for any occasion, whether a casual brunch or a special evening out. We can't wait to return and explore more of their enticing menu. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food, impeccable service, and a welcoming ambiance!

Excellent dinner and service. Started with a perfectly executed old fashioned at the bar. Multiple small plates. Tuna crudo and beef sandwich were standouts. Will return.

This hidden gem is nestled in Sylvan Park, and while the atmosphere is very beautiful, the food was a little bit of a letdown. It wasn't bad, but nothing that blew us away. It is a tapas style menu, and we ordered 2 entrees, 3 smaller dishes, as well as a dessert. The Papa Bravas were ok, but just not the best I've had. However, I will say, of the places I've had octopus in Nashville, this is the best cooked octopus I've had yet. The croquettes were a mushroom and leak, and honestly, I think the color turned me off more than anything once they were cut open. The Basque Cheesecake was not the sweet we expected, but it was more of a savory dessert. It's not my personal preference, but I can see where people would love it. Personally, I wish it would have had a sauce, even if on the side for dipping or to pour over, but that's not how the chef designed this dish. Like I said, though, just a personal preference.

Yelp
Lola was a spot I had high hopes for and felt like it was just a bit lack luster, unfortunately. Its location and ambiance is great and our service was good. The food always felt like there was something missing and didn't leave us with anything we felt would be memorable once we left the table. We got the Papas Bravas, Pan Tumaca, Croquettes (which had a chicken filling), Crispy Pork, and Chicken. Along with that we got a glass of the chilled red blend & Tempranillo which were delicious. Comparable to other Nashville spots at a similar price point, nothing that we got shocked us or really made us wanting more. The Pan Tumaca was soggy, which was shocking as we were some of the only diners in the restaurant at this point. The Chicken sat on a cold vegetable puree and the lemon butter sauce was hidden behind the peppers blended into the vegetable puree. The Crispy Pork was good but had a watery tartar sauce and the apple slaw really just tasted like cabbage lightly pickled. To add to our mediocre experience, the social hour advertised all across their website was not reflected in the receipt for the items we ordered on it. I will also note, their menu appears to have changed quite a bit in the last year to two years so many photos of their food available online doesn't reflect what's available today. The menu online was 99% accurate though! Lola has great potential, but the food is simply not worth it for me to return.

Yelp
Lola is a very sweet spot with nice ambience! The starters and desserts were stellar. We had the croquettes and the artichokes which were recommended by our server, both were very satisfying and tasty. For dessert we did the flourless chocolate cake with olive oil and sea salt, I'm still dreaming about the creamy texture beautifully complimented by the elegant toppings! Unfortunately we weren't as thrilled with our entrees, the pork and the chicken both lacked flavor and punch. Our meal also took over 2.5 hours start to finish, it felt less like our server was giving us room to breathe and more like we were forgotten about at some times. I'd return for drinks and apps or a sweet nightcap!

Yelp
Lola is incredible. From the food to the vibe to the service. The flavors are amazing. The beef sandwich, beets and tomato tartare are phenomenal. I appreciate that lola has a decent variety of vegetarian options. The crispy artichokes are delicious! Also, the menu has a decent offering of non-alcoholic beverages, which as a teetotaler I appreciate. The chocolate torte is amazing, but I absolutely loved the espresso lemon creme brulee -so deliciously complex! The service was wonderful. And the vibe - enjoying a fall evening dining outside in a cozy neighborhood restaurant is un-beatable.

Yelp
Well, this place is just GORGEOUS. As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with the beauty and then proceeded to fall in love with the food. Our server was excellent - answered all of our questions, provided his recommendations for food and drinks, and was on point with his rounds. We ordered a LOT of food for our party of six and it was just so much fun. Thankfully my team understands my need (and love) of taking photos of food, so I got some really good ones :) The tapas are a decent size for the price and everything is delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail - naturally I had to order a second one. I think that we all had our favorite dishes but overall, there was nothing we didn't like. I will say that the cobbler dessert was a little disappointing considering how phenomenal the description was, but otherwise we had no complaints. Lola - I will be back and I cannot wait for round 2!

Yelp
Fun experience overall. We left completely full and couldn't even decide which of the several dishes we ordered were our favorites. Service was fast and friendly. Vibes were good overall. We will be coming back!

Yelp
This was a real treat! Delicious tapas, great service and atmosphere. We sat outside on the patio, even though it was a very hot evening we were comfortable and didn't feel hot. It's pricey and not a lot of food but what you are served is outstanding. My favorite was the sardine tapas, it's excellent! The mediterranean salad was good but not outstanding. Our server was exceptional! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I visited Lola for social hour tonight, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. I was greeted warmly and immediately and opted to sit at the bar. Kieran was our bartender and was super friendly and attentive. There were so many wonderful options that I was indecisive, and his recommendations were phenomenal. I started with a margarita, and my date started with an old fashioned. Both were great. For our entrees, we did shrimp ceviche, croquetas, manchego plate, and papa bravas. All were absolutely delicious. The shrimp ceviche was so light and refreshing and was my favorite of the four tapas we tried. It has been a long week, and I found the atmosphere at lola to be very calming. It's a beautiful restaurant. Parking isn't great, but I feel like that's to be expected in Sylvan Park. After driving around for a few minutes, we were fortunate to find street parking super close by.

Yelp
Lola is a very cute Spanish wine bar that just recently opened. Great happy hour drinks and snacks at the bar from 4-6 daily. Drinks were great! The bartender made a great old fashioned. My date had the margarita which was also very good. Food wise the croquettes were amazing! The shrimp ceviche was also very good but could of used a few more of the plantain chips. We also had a small charcuterie plate which was great. Parking is very limited. Maybe 2 spots on the side and 8 spots in back. Murphy road does have plenty of street parking but you'll have to walk a little.

Yelp
I have been in search for a good tapas restaurant in Nashville and Lola is just that! Everything we ordered was delicious - we got the crispy artichokes, arugula salad, croquetas, foccacia, chicken skewers and papas bravas. All of the dishes were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the service was friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Yelp
Went for lunch today. I totally appreciate the ability to drive to a restaurant and park where there is plenty of parking and not have to worry about driving around in circles looking for a parking place. Our server was great not overwhelming, but attentive. Ordered the arugula salad with walnuts. Someone ordered the artichokes as an appetizer, and those were out of this world. My salad was tasty but I should have added a protein - They were out of three of the five desserts, but the chocolate dessert was definitely good. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant with the high ceilings and all the light. it would be fun to go at dinner time and try it out as it is a totally different menu.

Yelp
Lola is one of the best restaurants in Nashville -- by far the best tapas! The service is impeccable and the ambiance of the restaurant is elevated and makes for a perfect night out with friends or a nice date. I recommend the pork belly and definitely try any Verdejo on the menu!

Yelp
This is a busy place. It is where you would go for a fancy date. It is very expensive. The atmosphere is fine and the food and drinks were good quality but not sure I want to go back.

Yelp
I come back to Nashville a few times a year. Sylvan Park is one of my favorite neighborhoods and this may be my new spot. Staff is highly knowledgeable and prompt. Menu is cohesive and inventive at every turn. Show up with a group of 4 or more and try as much as you can. Beautiful space for a casual dinner with family or even a more intimate date night once the sun goes down. Highly recommend if you appreciate creative dining without pretension.

Yelp
I had brunch with a group of friends at lola a few weeks ago when we were back in Nashville to attend a wedding. Everyone but me at the table was from Nashville (I lived there for five years), and we couldn't remember what business had previously stood where lola is now (typical of Nashville - everything is always changing). But the building is obviously new and very beautiful. (FYI: We just assumed lola didn't have parking and street parked, because it's in the heart of Sylvan Park, but it actually does have a parking lot behind the building!) They just started serving lunch on Friday and Saturday, but I don't think anyone else knows yet - because we were the only party there on a Saturday late morning (we went at 11 am when they open). I hope they get more lunch business, because the lunch menu was great. We got a few plates to share for the table: crispy artichokes (everyone loved), eggplant dip (also delicious), manchego plate (simple but delicious), and lamb merguez skewers (delicious). Then everyone got or shared one of their sandwiches! At our table, we tried the beef pringa sandwich, crab biquini sandwich, and traditional biquini sandwich. All got thumbs up. We didn't drink at brunch on this occasion, but almost everyone got at least one of their very surprisingly good Americanos (better than most at coffee shops!). The service was great (we were the only table, but our waiter took a lot of time to explain the menu to us and was very friendly). Overall, it was a really good meal. And I would definitely return for dinner to try more of their menu and have some Spanish wine with it! Check it out if you're looking for a nice spot in the Sylvan Park area!

Yelp
I had heard mixed things about this place from friends, but was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my meal here. Parking is a bit annoying in this area, and I finally caved and paid to park in a lot that was close (but luckily it wasn't too pricey.) The ambiance here is upscale, but the vibe inside is very "friends and loved ones gathering at a neighborhood hang," which made it feel casual and low-key, and I really liked. I walked in on a Thursday night with no reservation and had no trouble getting a seat at the bar. It definitely fills up more as it gets later in the evening, but I doubt I'd ever be vying to find a seat here. Sarah, the bartender was peak amazing service. She was knowledgeable about drinks and food and I didn't have a single bad order going largely with her recommendations. The Jámon Toast is a MUST order and is apparently new to the fall menu. Much lighter than I thought it would be, with a perfect blend of sweet, savory, soft, chewy textures. The crispy artichokes were super light and I devoured them, but I thought the sauce was a little heavy-handed with the lemon and wish it were served on the side. The charcuterie had some hits and misses to me -- the tapenade was just not good, for example, but the chorizo was unreal tasty and the walnuts were perfectly lightly candied. The wine selection is amazing here, and I wish they had at least a house red and house white on their social hour menu. My only real regret was that I didn't get dessert (was too full). But all in all, I really loved having an incredibly leisurely meal here and would recommend it as a great place to bring your parents or have a fun night with girlfriends.

Yelp
Came here with a friend! It was lovely and such a nice neighborhood gem. Our server was amazing and had the best recommendations! The Paloma was great. Highly recommend the Arugala salad and croqueta.

Yelp
AMAZING! From the very start, our hostess was so warm and welcoming. Our server, Rachel, was an absolute delight. She had great suggestions and was able to speak about the food in a way that made it feel like a story was being told by the flavors and tastes. The food was so good especially the octopus! The ambience was great for date night. This would be my restaurant referral to any visitors.

Yelp
As someone who can walk to Lola, I was so excited to have another place for dinner in the neighborhood. Neighbors got take out recently and it was ok (takeout is always weird for finer dining) so we thought we'd start with happy hour in person. If I ever have reservations about a place, I start with happy hour so I'm not too financially invested. Happy Hour is at the bar only (meh) and grossly underwhelming. There is no wine on the happy hour menu (only very generic cocktails) and the food menu was sad. I decided to see what red wines were on the main menu and they only had 3-4 red wines you can buy by the glass. Isn't this a Spanish place?!? My Tempranillo wasn't worth the $14, nor was my husband's $10 "house soda." We realized we needed to leave when the one appetizer we ordered was three sad pieces of manchego, 3 sad slices of sausages, 3 small hard crackers, and some dried apples. We cut our losses and went next door. We won't be back for a full meal, happy hour, or take out again. I expected much more from a place who has a history of good food at other establishments.

Yelp
Service was great. Food was sub par. Prices not conruent with overall quality. Very Average experience not commensurate with price. Would not return.

Yelp
There is a lot to like about Lola. The space is very appealing - bright, open and it has a wonderful soaring cathedral ceiling. The service was everything you would expect. The food is well-plated and generally innovative and tasty. Selection of old-world wines (especially from Spain and Portugal) is different and welcome; however, while the Tempranillo offered was serviceable, I wish there were more selections of such wines by the glass as I would have loved to try a hard-to-find Portuguese Douro. On this first introductory visit for a late dinner, we ordered the following: Mediterranean Salad - fresh and zesty with mustard greens and very good Charcuterie Board - nice selection of tastes and good Smoked Trout Dip - radish slices didn't really work for us but good Pan Tumacca - should have been served hotter, but garlicky and very good Octopus - should have been served hotter, but excellent Cheesecake - lighter than most and citrusy and bright - excellent Maybe it is too much to hope for (especially so early in its existence), but Lola unfortunately did not deliver on the promise of transporting us to a cafe in Spain, at least on this night. I've had the pleasure of visiting neighborhood tapas restaurants and bars in Madrid (as well as Barcelona, Seville, and Toledo) and, while Lola has its appeal and I am hopeful for its future, it does not yet offer a fairly comparable range of tastes or vibe in this writer's opinion.
google avatar

Dew T.

Yelp
Nice! Date night for us. Not 5 stars because no vegetarian main dish options - only salad or tapas. However, the eggplant dip was the best I've had. Really nice environment.
google avatar

Ahmed A.

Yelp
If you're like me and love Mediterranean food, get some reservations at Lola ASAP! I Had a wonderful experience with a good friend at the newly-opened Lola this evening! The space, attention to detail, and the food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend trying their food for any occasion - the options are plentiful and I'm definitely coming back! The Branzino was cooked to perfection and the ribs melted in your mouth! Definitely the most rich chocolate torte I've ever had, but it was DELICIOUS

Yelp
My first experience with Lola, a year ago when they first opened, was pretty mid, but I heard whisperings that they leveled up their menu so I had to come try it again. In terms of the Nashville Spanish tapas scene, you only have a few options. Barcelona is incredibly overrated and the food is mediocre. Boqueria feels mass-produced, borderline a chain restaurant. Peninsula is a personal favorite with their unique dishes, but you don't get a ton of bang for your buck. My second time at Lola puts it at the top of the list for tapas, hands down. The dishes were elevated, but a hearty serving. We ordered everything that came recommended to us: -The mussels were my #1 favorite. Amazing. -The mushrooms I wasn't in love with, but they can be hit or miss for me. On the other hand, they were my date's favorite. -The tongue carpaccio. I typically wouldn't have ordered this unless suggested and was a little nervous to try tongue, but if you're adventurous enough to give lengua a go, I promise that you'll like it. -The octopus was the best I've had. -The steak was ok, I'd go for other menu items next time. -The chocolate cake was the sluttiest bite of cake I ever had. I mean that in a good way. -Oh, and I loved the chai espresso martini. It's decaf too and a really fun drink I haven't seen anywhere else. -Our waitress felt personally involved in sharing about the food. -We also had the special I can't remember, but they offer a lot of rotating specials which I like because you always know there will be something new on the menu. My only qualms about this place was the website's reference to being like 'stepping into deep Madrid, into that local hole-in-the-wall.' This is a fine dining Spanish restaurant in Nashville and should simply own it and be authentically what it is. Either way, it was certainly a step up from my last visit. My sincerest compliments to the chef for the leveling up (;
google avatar

Justin C.

Yelp
I believe that is the most underrated restaurant here in Nashville. This tapas place has some of the most flavorful dishes in Nashville, with each bite being so fresh and so vibrant. The papas bravas are so crispy. The shrimp dishes are just so fresh. The artichokes are an absolute must (and are gluten free!). The kitchen and staff are so helpful dealing with gluten and nut allergies, telling us what we could and could not have. Be sure to finish off dessert with some chocolate!
google avatar

Dina B.

Yelp
The food is amazing... the owners did a bang up job choosing the chefs and kitchen staff who, you can tell, truly care about the quality of their food. This is such a great place to visit with friends, enjoy great conversation in a beautiful setting while sharing the most delicious tapas you'll ever have. Their signature drinks are to die for and the service is the best. 10/10

Sarah S.

Yelp
The food was phenomenal! Great variety of tapas, drinks and desserts. Chef Liam and the wait staff provided exceptional service and made our visit so memorable. Definitely plan to return the next time I'm in Nashville!

Yelp
Went here last night for dinner and though the food was good, but will explain why I rated it as average. The good: I ordered the papas bravas and while the presentation was different than what I was expecting (slices vs quartered), they were really good and came with two different sauces. Price point at $9 was fair as well. The octopus was also amazing and at $25, it sounds pricey but you get a decent portion and octopus is typically a pricier dish. We ordered the prawns and bacon and weren't fans. For $23, you get 5 medium sized tail-on shrimp and some purée? No, thanks. The purée was also overwhelmingly sweet. We also got the croquetas and while they were good, you only get 3 for $13. This is expensive compared to other tapas places I've been to in major cities. Having them priced around $9-$10 would be more attractive. Lastly, the menu is incredibly limited. Expand the menu and have the tapas in the $8-$15. Even if you have to make the mains a smaller portion, people will be more enticed to order them and the lower price points will encourage people to order more. If you need inspiration, just peep cafe ba-ba-reeba's menu. They're based in Chicago and have a huge following because of how they approach their menu.

Yelp
This place is awesome! A lovely neighborhood restaurant serving up amazing flavors. I went with a friend and we split 4 tapas and dessert. My favorites were the shrimp ceviche and the croquettas. We ordered basque cheesecake and chocolate torte, a perfect combo. I loved how simple their menu was, they don't serve up too much, but what they do is amazing!

Yelp
If you love tapas then Lola is the new(ish) place you need to try in the Sylvan Park neighborhood of Nashville. The Spanish style tapas are great to share and to taste as many as possible. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and made for a great date night. Our favorites were the croquetas and the tahini beef. We thought the flavors were unique but delicious. The drinks were also very good. I could definitely see us returning and in warmer weather enjoying the patio. The service was also outstanding and the overall experience was a great one.
google avatar

Krislyn P.

Yelp
The staff and service at Lola were just as incredible as the food! Lola's new building is a relaxed yet intimate atmosphere and I recommend parking on the streets (for free!) behind the building. I will definitely back for the croquetas and can't wait to try the social hour menu!

Cole J.

Yelp
Wow! Top choice in West Nashville! From the moment we walked in until we left, our server Kieran treated us like honored guests with knowledge, professionalism, and positivity. (So did Guy, who stopped by our table). Every plate we had blew us away. Even the hard-to-please in our party were raving. Specifically the crispy artichokes, fish, and pork belly was my favorite. We had a birthday/anniversary on the group and Kieran brought out complimentary champagne. Atmosphere on the porch as the sun set was unmatched. They brought out lamps and it was lovely. Money well spent. -- One suggestion is some lamps or tea lights for the indoor tables. Maybe you have these on other nights when we weren't there.

Yelp
My husband and I had a lovely time at Lola! VIBE: The interior is clean, modern and all around fun vibe. Loved the flatware and serving dishes. STAFF: We found the hostess to be very welcoming; our server was lovely and attentive as well. FOOD: What didn't we eat? We seriously tried almost everything on the menu. The artichokes were amazing - best thing on the menu for sure - and believe me I am not one to recommend ... artichokes. Olives were yummy. The tuna appetizer was unique and tasty. Loved the aioli served with the potatoes. I secretly wish maybe that the Provelata appetizer and the tomato spread appetizer (sorry can't recall name) used different types of bread (instead of the same bread for both dishes) just to diversify taste a bit, but overall the food was really yummy. EH: Went went to Lola on my birthday - if I HAD to nit pick one thing it might be that it would have been nice for them to offer a free dessert in celebration, however, I realize not all restaurants do this.

Yelp
We had a private event there one Saturday of about 40 people and it was hands down the best experience. The place was beautiful and there was no need to decorate excessively. Everything was ready to go upon arrival and there was no stress of ensuring things were done. Staff was so kind and helpful from unloading the car to serving drinks/food. On top of the amazing service, the food was amazing. The menu that was made up for us was over the top good. I could not recommend this place more for a private event if you need.

Yelp
Went here for Valentine's Day with the hubs since most everything else was closed on a Monday and I'm such a sucker for tapas, so I was stoked to try this joint out! And the food was actually quite delightful: the soup was exquisitely prepared and flavorful, the salad was plentiful while being crisp, fresh, and chock full of tasty elements(those artichoke hearts were everything), the branzino with potatoes was a divine dish and our cheesecake was so smooth n' savory! Both the food and the service here was excellent. UNFORTUNATELY, I didn't think the food properly reflected the inflated prices here: really not much bang for your buck, basically. And yes, I'm aware that tapas are small portions, but the servings were *much* chintzier here versus other tapas places I've been to, yet the prices here would suggest otherwise. A minuscule scoop of smoked trout dip with barely any veggies to dip in it cost $10; a couple of extra carrots and cucumbers would've been appreciated. The branzino dish could've used far more potatoes. Why only 3 little croquettas for $11 when 4 would've made far more sense for 2 folks to share? Why such a tiny amount of chickpeas with what's already such a tiny amount of octopus for $23?! The salad was surprisingly ample and that was a nice slice of cheesecake, but all our other dishes just felt like they were literally missing part of their serving. I don't think offering several extra veggies and beans/potatoes on certain dishes is going to bankrupt this joint, basically. I'm also not a fan of this place's acoustics(SO LOUD) and the awkward layout of the bar/tables in there; the bar eats up nearly half of the room yet still doesn't have as much room available for patrons as it would if it were more wisely constructed and positioned. Mostly I was peeved that despite the fact that I made a reservation for this place several months in advance, we still somehow ended up seated right in front of the busy kitchen door that was opening up with staff breezing through it every other minute. That was completely distracting and killed the vibe of our meal; no restaurant worth its salt should EVER have a table seated that close to the kitchen door. Like at least have a screen or have a partial wall built around the door; some of us have no desire to see dishes being washed and meals being plated while we eat. It was still a decent enough dining experience, but a few little extra elements can make or break a place--why just be 'decent enough' when you *could* be divine?

Yelp
So excited Sylvan Park has another cozy dining spot! Went to the soft opening of lola and everything was phenomenal. My friend and I commented on his amazingly fresh the Mediterranean salad and pico de gallo was on the pork. The flavors were so vibrant. The vinegarette on the salad was amazing. We got 5 dishes and they were all phenomenal. The Mediterranean Salad, Fried Artichokes, Papas Bravas, The tahini pork tenderloin and the cheesecake. The cheesecake was rich but in no way sweet. Tasted like a mild Parmesan cheesecake and was the perfect ending. Even the coffee was rich and flavorful! I can't wait come here in the fall and winter. The atmosphere will be so warm, cozy abd inviting.

Yelp
No wonder the place was almost empty. Tapas? More like Tepid. Papas Bravas? Kettle Chips would have been more interesting than that, and a better deal. This place won't last too long as is. Run! Watch your wallet, too.

Yelp
This place ain't it! Teeny tiny portions, rude staff, difficult to park, and the food wasn't that good. Don't waste your time and money and go somewhere else to get just as "upscale" of food quality and ambiance and spend wayyy less

Yelp
This has been on my list of places to go but got lost as the list got longer. I am so happy I reviewed the list cause lola was fantastic. We split a bottle of wine and ordered around 5 dishes including, the charcuterie board, the chicken skewers, the meat balls, artichoke hearts and I can't remember what else. Rachel our server really knew her stuff and gave out great recommendations. The decor is simple but nice, inside a house that's been carved out, we sat in the corner but next time I think we will sit at the bar for a better view, but we went on a Monday and got sat right away at 6:30pm with no reservation.

Yelp
Lets start out with how great was the service! The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Menu was small and eclectic but very well done. Its not really a Spanish restaurant, kind of a Mediterranean fusion. Don't miss the Branzino! The papas (not potatas) bravas were pretty much French fries, skip that. Croquettes were amazing!! Wine list had plenty of great Spanish options.

Yelp
We were lucky to sit at the bar on a Saturday night and everything was amazing, we booked reservations for Monday to try the paella and it did not disappoint.

Yelp
Pretty restaurant and great service, but the food was subpar. Very limited options on the menu and really over priced. We tried a variety of options from both the hot and cold items and it did not taste authentic. We left the restaurant hungry and dissatisfied. I would only recommend coming here if you'd like to grab a drink and have a couple of appetizers.

Yelp
Unbelievable!!! We've been in Nashville for 2 years and the food is good but not great at all. This place is great. Every single dish was fantastic. Run, don't walk.

Yelp
Great drinks, food, and service; Parking situation was a pain during peak hours but we will be back!

Yelp
It was okay. The bar seems limited on options other than wine. The food was underwhelming for the price and the server was not particularly well-informed. There's potential here but I did not experience that.

Yelp
Solid tapas and excellent service. Hope you're in the mood for carbs because anything involving bread/potatoes on the menu is delicious

Yelp
Very pretty restaurant. Excellent service. Not a dinner destination. Small bites and drinks. No happy hour pricing. Cozy bar. Acoustics are terrible. Cannot hear conversation at your table.

Yelp
My family and I had one of the best meals in a long history of good eating. We were treated with great warmth and care with a complete lack of pretentiousness. And the superstar is the food. We felt like we were special guests of the chefs kitchen. Every morsel was uniquely seasoned and scrumptious. As a big eater I was hesitant about small plates but we shared multiple dishes and I walked away absolutely content. The slow roast beef rib is well worth the price --three of us shared this epicurean delight. Vichyssoise soup fed our souls followed by uniquely prepared artichoke hearts and OMG braised pawns. And dessert--geez. Best flan ever and a chocolate cake the has to tasted to be understood (savor it to the last moment). Service was excellent --friendly, professional and helpful. Uniquely European restaurants that is well worth it. Oh, terrific Spanish wines are a treat.
