One of the pleasures of a great restaurant is that beyond the food, the atmosphere and decor. A transport you to another place. That’s how we felt when we had the opportunity to have brunch at Mad dogs in Englishman.
Located in a newer building, they have all the trappings of a proper English pub. The entry is stone, and upon walking in you see a multitude of photos, paintings, album covers, and more that remind you of England. If you’re lucky enough to be here on a Sunday, expect to see F1 racing, and I’m certain that other times of the week they have proper English football.
Take your time and wander through the inside area, and take in all of the photos and the stories behind them. One of my favorite pictures of all times located in the bar area, of Saint Paul’s Cathedral surviving a massive fire bombing ray during World War II.
The brunch menu was small, but packed with flavor. My wife and I both enjoy the omelette and had some iced coffee. After all, it’s summer in Florida. The rest of the menu looks fantastic, and be sure to get here for proper Sunday roast.
It looks like they had a nice selection of beers and other drinks. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They know how to treat a guest and make them feel welcome. Can’t wait to come back here in a few weeks.
