The 15 Best Patisseries in Paris for Croissants, Cakes, and Eclairs | Eater

"When chef Myriam Sabet opened her first boutique in the Marais in 2017, she introduced locals to an entirely new take on Levantine pastries (which were far less sweet than the competition around town), all built on French techniques. Her seasonal tarts and bundts are great for sharing. But the stars of the show are the nids: bite-size pastry nests made of kadaïf (thinly shredded phyllo dough), filled with either candied fruit or flavored creams, the latter in combos like rhubarb with Damask rose, lemon with cardamom, or jasmine and mango. Located in the 4th arrondissement." - Dayna Evans

Maison Aleph Review - Montmartre - Paris - The Infatuation

"This Middle Eastern bakery breaks from tradition ever so slightly: The owner’s signature nids pâtisseries are bite-sized “nests” wrapped in kadaïf and topped with cream, and come in flavors like classic chocolate, hazelnut, and salted caramel. But, more notably, they also highlight flavors of the Levant: cardamom, za’atar, halva, sumac, Iranian pistachio, and more. You can eat them standing up sur place inside the shop, but they’re also great if you’ve been told to bring dessert to a picnic. " - Sara Lieberman

The Best Bakeries in Paris, According to a Local | Condé Nast Traveler

"This is the first of two Maison Aleph boutiques created by banker-turned-pastry chef Myriam Sabet. Ideally located in the heart of the Marais–down the road from the department store BHV/Marais, a block from Hôtel de Ville (city hall), and two blocks from the Seine river, the independent shop offers Levantine pastries that nod to Sabet's Syrian heritage, featuring textures and flavors from the broader Levant region, and are anchored in French technique. The space is small but well-suited for a quick snack or taking your treats to-go. If money is no object, get one of everything. There is plenty that can be brought home with you in your checked luggage." - Lindsey Tramuta

Tiny little bakery with nicely presented variety of East Mediterranean treats. The gentleman that helped us was very patient and polite. We got a salted butter caramel vanilla and lemon cardamom pastry nest and pistachio chocolate tart. We got them to go. The tart came in a cute little box. The nests were crunchy and soft- a little messy to eat but tasty. We loved the pistachio chocolate tart. Was a nice treat for our first patisserie experience in Paris.

You must try the Orange Blossom Nest (with Strawberry, in season) if you stop by. This is an experience you will share with your grandkids someday. The orange was light, without the citrus after taste, while the accent of strawberry elevated this treat to a higher, heavenly level. The nest aspect brought a subtle crunch to this culinary marvel. This should be a must stop while in Paris.

Cute little patissiére and it’s located in Le Marais area in the 4th arrondissement of Paris city. The staff was served me he’s really good and Friendly and kind to offering me try some of their best seller variety of ice cream. And he also treat tourists respectfully and speak English well. I went out with Astha flavour that’s combination of milk, vanilla and pistachios and also mixed with strawberry sorbet which is sourly and tangy! It’s really refreshing and taste delicious! I also like their blue tiles decoration.

Tried the mini dessert thing that was around €2.75 each. we got the box of 4 for €10. I tried the lemon & cardamom flavour and the salted caraml & vanilla flavour. The dessert itself was similar to some asian desserts I've had before in terms of taste and texture (khanef?). The lemon flavour did not suit the dessert. The salted caramel was a lot better, but overall, for the price, I dont think it's really worth it.

Very good kadaif with orange blossom flavor. I liked the pistachio and caramel the most

Google
Amazing pastry, only speaking for the rhubarb tarte that I tried but it was mind blowing. So good from the super crispy layered base from I guess phyllo to the rhubarb compote, pistachio, cream and rhubarb jelly, super well balanced composition and not too sweet. The florentine was a bit dense and thick overall but definitely high quality. They sell drinks but it's not an eat in space. Service is very quick to explain everything in English.

Google
Definitely my favorite and the best dessert place in Paris. I come by every time i visit Paris. I was literally recommending to everyone who entered store and tempted to buy. The crispy dough is somewhat like mid eastern like Turkish or Iranian dessert, but without sugar syrup so not sweet at all! And sooo crunchy. The staff were all chatty. I absolutely love this place!! It's worth a detour if it's not on your travel plan.

Google
Worth it in every bite for Strawberry Pistacchio Tart which it is their Award Winner. The texture and flavor is amazing. The small one, personally I like the vanilla caramel one. The texture is so crispy and caramel flavor is so good. The staff is really nice. This place is the must- visit for pastry lover.

Yelp
Dear heavens YES YES- do this. Go here. Order these delicate and delicious little nests of exquisite yumminess. We have been planning a return to this shop before we leave Paris and are plotting how to take these back with us on our flight- because HOLY WOW! This is such goodness.

Yelp
I had kataifi for the first time in Germany a couple months ago, so I was interested in trying Maison Aleph in Paris, which is a pastry shop dedicated to mini pastries made of kataifi. This was one of the best things I've ever eaten. They are mini treats that are either filled with filling and topped with cream or chocolate or nuts. They are so good, and the perfect size that's not too overwhelming. Kind of pricey, but 100% worth it!

Yelp
Our favorite stop on our visit to Paris! We came here as part of a food tour and had to come back again before leaving because it is so good. Delicious and unique pastries and very good espresso. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Loved this place. The pastries are bite-sized and perfectly balanced little jewels of crunch wheat strands topped with not too sweet and somewhat exotically flavored creams. They are super when you are craving a sweet and don't want the heaviness of a traditional Parisian pastry. I loved the ones flavored with rose water, pistachio, and cardamom. William behind the counter is the owner's brother and a super nice guy. By all means stop in and try this wonderful little shop. They put a lot of work into their product and it shows!

Yelp
Blue floral patterned tiles, marble countertops, wooden benches; the interior of the shop was artistically already set up to be the cutest dessert bakery on the edge of Les Marais. A perfect destination for a short break after a long day of shopping, this gem of a shop sells a small type of feuilles, which I can best describe in my horrible American translation as: it looks like a dressed up wheat thin. The pistache d'lran we ordered had the perfect crunch and mix of slight sweetness of the cream inside. We also ordered the rose water and lemon water. The rose water is a m a z i n g; it's so different than anything I've ever tasted. La croix who? It has a subtle rose-like (duh) and floral taste. The lemon water tastes more like a typical lemonade but it's also not too sweet. Not too much seating inside but find Aleph for your next go-to rest stop and dessert pit stop!

Yelp
Revisit today after last year visit. Still very very good in the classic patissier and rose water. Always want to come back after day tour around the area.
