Yelp
It was worth the journey to experience this light-filled, open-line-of sight to all diners venue. This south side girl was challenged finding the Margaux within the massive shopping and dining experience called The Corners of Brookfield, circling the complex 3x before finding this French delight.
I felt like Leslie Caron must have felt in the movie Gigi, dazzled by the candles and light and flittering about of high society. I could almost see Maurice Chevalier and Louis Jourdan hanging at the bar!
I was there with my friend Jeanne to join the Yelp Elite party hosted there. Immediately felt the energy of the place; lots of competent waitstaff whirling and a pleasant buzz of conversation. The music level and choices were perfect! Noticed the clientele skewed classy; high end leisure clothes, smart chic outfits and fresh haircuts and manicures. A well-heeled crowd. Date I say...a bit French?
Appetizers were passed and we grazed on charcuterie. Delicious! Wine was free flowing in delicious crystal glasses. Cocktails poured with a flourish!
The menu is perfect. Prices not bad - and the food coming out of the kitchen appeared beautifully plated.
