Been here for brunch and dinner. Love the menu and environment (inside and outside). Love the patio for brunch. Food made fresh. Service is top notch. I'd gladly keep supporting this small biz. Pics are of their burger with their SSCP hash browns, and shrimp and grits.

I came here for brunch with a group and loved the cozy atmosphere in such an interesting area. They have outdoor seating, which is a nice option. Our waitress was amazing—friendly, attentive, and full of great suggestions. I ordered the steak and eggs, and it was so good! The steak had a nice smoky flavor, the cheesy eggs were delicious, and the hollandaise was yummy. We made a reservation, but it wasn’t busy for a Saturday brunch. I definitely want to come back and try more of the menu!

I attended a bridal shower at Meadow and opted for the mimosas, fruit and fresh biscuits with jam. The most delicious french toast. I also tried the vegetarian gumbo and it was flavorful! This is a great brunch spot for intimate meetings as well. Lovely atmosphere located near back of the shopping complex.

Excellent upscale dining experience, especially for a large group. Our servers took great care of us and handled everything smoothly and professionally. The fried chicken—one of my personal favorites—was outstanding and easily in my top five so far. The pea hummus and cream corn fritters were also delicious and well executed. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with great service and standout dishes.

Beautiful area! You can sit outside or inside. Both locations are comfortable. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The cinnamon rolls are house made and delicious! They can feed 2 if you’re a pig like me, but possibly 4 if you’re one of those dainty eaters. I had the strawberry French Toast and it was *chef’s kiss* Fresh and scrumptious! My mom had the breakfast sandwich and enjoyed it. Plus there was a special on Bloody Mary’s abc she said hers was made perfectly. Always check the specials! They do them on mimosas too on select days. I’m excited to return and try other things.

This place is such a hidden gem and you could easily miss it. It's super cute and the aesthetics are on point. Lunch was great. The Cream Corn Fritters were tasty and the marmalade it comes with is something special. We also ordered the Shawarma Spiced Zucchini Gyro with the Green Leaf Salad and the Fried Chicken Sandwich with the Grilled Vegetables. Everything was absolutely delicious! And our server Kelsey was great and super helpful with questions. I'll definitely be back. Also I shared a video on how to find the entrance from the parking lot in the back. :)

We had dinner reservations for 8. We were seated promptly and service was excellent from the beginning. Drink service was quick, with excellently prepared cocktails. Appetizers and salads were timely and very fresh. All entrees were well prepared and the seasons were DELICIOUS

First time for our group. Enjoyable. Nice atmosphere. Not noisy at all.

How have I never been here before?! It's tucked away back in The Alley, which I don't frequent often, but is a magical maze of wooden walkways. The server was super friendly, the cocktails were amazing (especially the cantaloupe one), and the food was incredible. The cabbage pancake with pork belly: stellar. The risotto and pizza: delicious. The corn fritters: addictive. The watermelon salad: a delight. I just was so blown away, and also bummed that I've been missing out on this place for years.

Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant brunch experience. The waiter was MIA the majority of our visit, he forgot basic requests. We ordered the Peach French Toast and Fried Chicken sandwich. The French toast was burnt and I mean burnt! The fried chicken sandwich came with dry brioche bread and no sauce. The chicken was cooked pretty well but needed seasoning. After finally seeing out waiter he asked how our meal was and we showed him the burnt french toast. He then asked is we would like a box??? Ummm no?? We explained to him again ( which shouldn't have been needed) that the meal was inedible. Why was this even served when it's clearly Burt to a crisp? The manager came by and said, "I wish you would have told me sooner" Ummm, first of all we couldn't find our waiter and how are we to know who you are when the staff was MIA. Stop putting blame on your patrons for your inadequacies. Needless to say we not be back.

Went with friends for brunch and it was good timing as they had a special pre-selected brunch menu that we were happy to try out: (served family style) For starters, we had Mini cinnamon bun rolls and banana nut bread with honey butter. When they were brought out, the mini buns were still warm and just melted in your mouth. The honey butter that came with the banana nut bread just set it off, delish. Next up, was some Pecan/Caramel French toast, cheese scrambled eggs, applewood smoked bacon and some pork belly hash. Everything was delicious. Definitely an indulgent meal but YOLO! I'll have to walk a little extra to work this off ;-) They also have a large list of boozy brunch drinks besides the standard Mimosa or Bloody Mary. And as another side note, one of my buddies was not in a breakfast mood and ordered a pizza, so I grabbed a slice and to no surprise, it was also very good. Overall, we had a great experience at Meadow Neighborhood Eatery and will be back sometime soon. Note: the restaurant is not easily seen from the side of the road so when you pull in you will have to drive around back the location to find parking and the entrance.

Wwwaaayyy too salty!!! Chicken & sweet potato side. This is Defly is more of a comfort food menu. Now I must say I've come a couple of times the bar area is Awesome Cocktails were great & bar tender Very Attentive. So, I'll Defly be back for cocktails!!!

Terrific food, make sure to have the pea hummus. The service is always excellent in a nice location.

I am not sure why I've never seen this place. I've lived in San Antonio for a long time and this is like a hidden jewel. The ambience was so cute. The service was excellent and the food was so yummy. Definitely will be going again. This is a must try but first you have to find it once you park your car that was a hardest part. I think they need a few more signs pointing to the back of the parking lotaround the area or a lot of cute shops so great for a girls day brunch

Nice outdoor spot with really great ambiance. We were there celebrating our friends bridal shopping and we were the only ones sitting outside. The food was delicious - Biscuits w/ Sausage Gravy but they didn't have many options for coffee or non-alcoholic beverages. We also waited a long time for our waiter & had to request our bill to pay out. The waiter also seemed very out of touch with the menu options or suggestions and it seemed like we kept getting forgotten outside. It's especially not a great way to start a celebration of bridal shopping which I mentioned to the girl who sat us hoping that it would give us better service. I was wrong, good food, great environment, poor service.

I initially came here for the cocktails and gave the pizza a try. It was simply delicious and the server was so sweet and attentive while still giving us privacy and time! The outside patio was relaxed and beautiful the fans helped a lot! I will for sures be back for my next brunch out or maybe check out the dinner service! Also I recommend the margarita and as a avid tequila drinker I was delighted to see Casadores Reposado!

The ambiance is five star. It's a great date night spot or a really nice lunch for your company. Their happy hour is short but really great wines on the list for only $5.00. For me though, for the price, the food was subpar. My pizza legitimately had no seasoning on it whatsoever. I had to drown it in red pepper flakes. I did like the ganache candy bar, that was tasty. I would be willing to go back and try something else though because service is good and their HH really is good pricing.

I love this place. We definitely come here for celebrations, date nights, casual dinners, anything! It is seriously a hidden gem in San Antonio. Everyone is super friendly and we have never had a bad dish or experience here.

Unique, prepared from scratch menu. Locally sourced ingredients when possible. We were served by John who was very knowledgeable about the menu and has a great personality. Love the spacious dining area and the music was upbeat and played at the perfect volume for dining and enjoying our meal.

If you want top-notch service and fresh, local ingredients, this is your spot! I've always been of the thought that if you can prepare vegetables in a way that wows people, then you know what you're doing. Meadow accomplishes this with their seasonal menu of veggies. Their take on okra always blows my mind and I love how they understand the importance of balancing textures with flavors. They just get it and always create a memorable experience. We've been for date nights and family dinners and they never disappoint. Over the summer, we attended a low-country oyster roast they hosted and my 4 year old son learned how to eat crab. He loved it! They kept bringing out servings of shrimp, crab, oysters and sides. We left so happy and satisfied. Do not sleep on the happy hour and snacks--the drinks are on point but the snacks will elevate your idea of happy hour. Get the corn fritters and you will not be sorry!

Phenomenal Sunday brunch experience! We ordered a variety of items including the burger (the best in San Antonio) and the fried chicken sandwich (juicy and such good flavor). From the meat to veggies to bun to fries, every ingredient was of the highest quality and put together perfectly. The Steak Street Biscuit sandwich was a satisfying mouthful of buttery biscuit with runny egg, melting cheese and perfectly balanced sausage gravy & even the simplest plate of eggs, bacon, toast and grits was beautiful and delicious. We ate all of that AFTER having camping doughnuts! Thank you, Meadow, for providing a beautiful place for my family to relax, enjoy each other and share such good food. Meadow's eye for detail and our attentive, friendly server paired with the delicious, high quality food exemplify that this restaurant is a labor of love.

Beautiful restaurant and great service. But, the food was lacking. My wife had shrimp and grits, zero flavor. I had the fried chicken and so did my dad. While mine was good his chicken was way over salted. Biscuits came with a honey lard. Wasn't bad but expos bit more sweetness. Was basically No taste. The corn fritters were great. Overall I was disappointed because I had read a lot of reviews saying how great the food was. For what you get this is a pricey restaurant.

It's pretty clear I like this place. Hubby and I came on Friday for restaurant week and everything was fantastic. I ordered off the Restaurant Week menu - (Grilled Okra, Shrimp and Grits and the dessert that wasn't the Candy Bar). Everything was amazing. My husband ordered the the cornbread to start and fried chicken which was fried to perfection. The thing I love the most is the food is always hot! Now fast forward 2 days, we go on a 20 mile bike ride and end up back at Meadow. Breakfast was the rejuvenation we needed for our soul. Stop by if you have a chance. Servers are great, too!!!

Finally!! My gal pal and I enjoyed our first (of many visits to come) experience @ Meadows. Tried the chicken sandwich, shrimp grits, hash brown and fruit platter. Thank you, Ann for a great brunch!!!

Such a chic spot tucked away in the Bitters Alley. The ambience was what I imagined it to be, chic and classy. I was seated promptly upon entering. The weather was good, and I should have asked to be seated outside. Regardless, it was very nice inside. I ordered a mocktail as I waited for my friend. After she arrived, we ordered corn fritters for appetizers and she got herself a fancy cocktail which was apparently, very good! My mocktail was so-so, wasn't too impressed. The corn fritters were served with pimento cheese as I do not eat pork which comes with the marmalade. It also was a great combination and they fritters melted in mouth. We got risotto and NY steak for main course. The risotto was ok, although the flavor profile was a little salty. My friend said her steak was good. We got the white chocolate blondie for dessert and it was so good! Our waitress was chirpy and helpful. Overall, a decent experience and would like to be back!

One of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. The only issue is I can't decide if I like them better for brunch or dinner! Fresh, beautifully prepared food that never fails to impress. And did I mention their drink menu? A well curated selection of drinks with something for every taste. Comfortable ambiance for a family meal but nice enough for a special event as well. Worth a visit (or several)!

I love this place the atmosphere is inviting and not a super loud start to Sunday mornings. Just regular drip coffee is 10/10. Their banana loaf is my fave.

Must try the menu is never the same it is nice not loud you can have conversations with the people you come with real chill.

The food was amazing!!!!!! We loved every single thing we tried there. The service was incredible, the servers were very attentive and even helped us decide what to try. His recommendations were spot on. The atmosphere was relaxing and spacious. We also enjoyed that they flex the menu based on seasons. Love the uniqueness of it. I would recommend this place over and over again.

Loved this place ! It was a little hard to find, because there's a lot of restaurants around this area but once we found it -- amazing. We were a big party of 12 and we had brunch and drinks here. Everyone got something different and we all loved our food. I had a cesar salad with chicken and it was delicious. The coffee was really good, they don't have an espresso machine but their drip coffee made you forget you wanted a cappuccino. Our server was really good, even though there were 12 of us she still got everyone's order and drink out on time. The margaritas were amazing! Super fresh. They also had crazy drinks like fruit loops which had coffee and whiskey and it was surprisingly amazing. I recommend if you're in the mood for comfort food and well made drinks.

Good brunch spot! We did ala carte to get what we wanted. The hash browns were so good and crunchy. They have a decent amount of parking and the outside area is cute.

What a wonderful find!! I say find because if you're not looking for this place you will drive right on past. The vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant is rustic and laid back which fits with their farm to table offerings. We did not have reservations; but fortunately we were seated quickly. Our server Ann was extremely helpful with explaining the menu and offering very descriptive and accurate recommendations. Started with the Creamed Corn Fritters. The fritters were delicious. Great crunch on the outside and cream on the inside. The pepper jam or spread that came with them were a great balance of spicy and sweet to accompany the fritters. For entrees, we chose the Blackened Flounder and the Half fried chicken. The flounder dish is levels and levels of flavor. The fish sits on tops of a bed of kale that sits on top of black eyed peas that is in a small amount of ham broth. FLAVOR BOMB!! For the half fried chicken; it was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had...PERIOD!! The half chicken is server with a small side of chow chow and a bottle of house made honey hot sauce. As I find out from our server the fried chicken is made with rice flour. TOTAL GAME CHANGER!!! I will now have to use rice flour whenever I fry chicken at home. Cocktails were legit and made very balanced. I really appreciate the service we received. And plan on returning to check out other menu items. Because it is farm to table the menu is seasonal

Hidden gem for a weekend brunch spot! So glad I decided to try this place for the first time. It's located inside the Artisan Alley shopping area. When you first drive in, Meadow is to the far right towards the back of the parking lot. Decor is modern rustic, offering a cozy vibe for a relaxing dining experience. There is a inside main dining area and and few more private smaller rooms. The outside dining area is nice and would be a perfect option on beautiful weather days. Menu is southern cuisine with a Texas "twist". Offerings are seasonal, but recommend starting off with the jalapeno cheddar biscuit if dining for Saturday brunch. All the entree options look tasty, but I can for sure say my steak and eggs plate was delicious. Brunch libations were creative and tasty as well. Service was super friendly and attentive! I'm a fan of Meadow and anxious to try out the dinner menu or even a casual happy hour!

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately for me it missed the mark. My boyfriend spent over $100+ for us to have one appetizer two entrees and two drinks each. It would've been okay if it was somewhat filling but it was not. Food was overpriced for the small portions and the worst part of it all was my French toast was extremely burnt like the bottom of the toast was black. I let the server know that the toast was burnt and she said "that's how it comes." But after insisting the toast was inedible, she offered to serve me something else and took it off the bill since I had only tried one small bite. Ambiance was okay but lights were really dim and drinks were kind of underwhelming. It was okay but overall probably would never come back. I'd rather go somewhere like happy monk where you can get the same thing for half the price and better service.

I'm not sure if its me having a big appetite or they just serve very expensive kid's meals... Happy hour is only 2 hrs long which is very short but.. the choices on the happy hr menu isnt the best either. Service was fine.. our waitress just came by way too often asking if we were doing ok. I asked for drink recs on the happy hour menu and she kept suggesting ordering from the original menu. Food all tasted really good. But for the price... i dont think ill be back. If i had to choose my fav, it would be the hummus. But the Pork Belly Biscuit was a huge let down. how can someone serve something that small and charge ~$8 for it. Its hard for me to recommend others to come here. I know there are better options to spend an expensive meal on.

Quite good. The venue is larger than it looks from the outside. Also plenty of outside seating that looks like it would be fun during the fall and winter. The menu is not extensive and I'm ok with that. Do a few things well and you're pretty much golden. We started with the corn fritters. Several of the apps are also sold at happy hour prices. A good $2 - $2.50 cheaper. Husband had the NY strip medium; I had the halibut. Also, a green salad and the watermelon salad. The salads were tasty. The entrees were delicious. The halibut came with small potatoes and was sitting in some delicious broth. I was given a spoon to get all the broth. The husbands strip was cooked perfectly. The seasoning was exceptional. The only bummer we're the desserts - feta cheesecake and a peanut butter something. Neither appealed to us. Our server Hattie was excellent. Took the time to talk about the weekend breakfast. Starts at 10am. Also spoke about Vintage, another of their places also on Artisan Alley. Wine and charcuterie and more. She was most appropriately attentive. Thanks. Go there.

The Meadow is a seasonal eatery that surpassed all my expectations. There was no bad food here, not even mediocre food, in one word (the only word really) phenomenal! Every dish was a flavor explosion. I had to stop myself from ordering ALL THE FOOD. We started with the skillet baked cornbread with a honey butter and pimento cheese. I never knew met a crust on a cornbread that I loved so much. Crusty yet moist (just shut up and give me all the cornbread)! For entrees we chose the risotto and the broccoli, just when I think nothing will top the cornbread I'm hit with the entrees! The risotto was warm, creamy, cheesy and gooey, the most comforting of comfort food! The broccoli was cooked to perfection with the tastiest of béarnaise sauce and the nice crunch from the pecans. Lastly, the dessert, a cornmeal shortcake with lemon curd. Can I just say, what they do with cornmeal is something tastebuds dream of! My recommendation is, go to The Meadow, eat ALL the food and then go again and again and again!

Corn bread appetizer was so good! Wood fired with homemade pimento cheese and lard butter! Lol- crazy but delicious! The waitress told us that we would soup up the sauce with the halibut and she was right! So good. Mushrooms are amazing - sauce underneath is fantastic. Burger was good, though I myself was not a fan of the American cheese and the bud was really dense- but the burger itself and the fries were amazing. Candy bar dessert was good by itself, but sooo much better when you added the PB mousse. Also had French press coffee that was great. Home run!

Food excellent service excellent ambiance outstanding nestled in a cozy location!!! First time here & will definitely make this one of my favorite outings!

Casual, upscale fun place to relax with your friends & family. The menus ever changing but lots of local Texas and Southern items. We started with corn bread and pickles. couple of us had the fried chicken was terrific . My partner went for the pork lion was beautifully spiced and very very tasty. Daughter got the pizza which a yummy crust. Terrific place to relax and chat. Full bar. Attentive staff.

We had brunch on Father's day and we're so glad we did! Appreciate being able to make a reservation! We started with a glass of brute rose' and absolutely delicious cinnamon roll!! My husband had the breakfast sandwich, delicious! I had the salad and added a fried chicken breast. Every component of the salad was delicious! We were to full fir dessert!

Celebrating my 600th review! Start with the Cilantro Paloma -Texas Sotol, cilantro, grapefruit, lime - it's amazing. Salty and slightly sweet and complex. Using Sotol instead of tequila is brilliant. DH had the Thai Mai Tai, made with a Thai tea syrup. Quite tasty and unusual, but not as inspired as the Paloma. Came for Restaurant Week. Ordered broccoli appetizer, arugula salad, pork chop, grouper, and 2 desserts: Candy Bar and Carolina Gold Rice Pudding. Also ordered an additional app, the English Pea Hummus, because it sounded intriguing. So the broccoli, grilled and served in some sort of Bernaise, toasted pecan, and fried shallot situation, is 13/10. I pity vegans because they would have to skip the killer Bernaise. The arugula salad, while not especially avant garde, is well worth ordering with its bright dressing and toasted pecans. The pea hummus was ok, but I don't know if I would order it again. I found the rich olive oil pool on top too overpowering for the dish. That olive oil was pretty delish on its own when dipping bread in it, however. Delicious bread served with it and appreciated watermelon radish among the veggie dippers. Round two for cocktails: fig drink and the La Pina. The fig cocktail was tasty but seemed much more of a lemon thing. Delicious (I love lemon) but the fig taste wasn't really present. The Pina was bomb. Pineapple and coconut but oh so subtle and not oversweet. It's a very sophisticated cocktail. Pork chop: good sear, great flavor, but too dry (overcooked?). Side dishes were delicious, bourbon apple jam/farro/delicata squash. Grouper: underseasoned but cooked well. The sauce didn't add much. Again, outstanding side dishes, greens and acorn squash chile slices. Both desserts were amazing. The rice pudding was so subtle but impossibly creamy and dotted with bruleed marshmallows and pieces of grapefruit. It was like tasting your childhood through rose colored glasses. The nutty chocolaty bar with peanut butter fluff was an exercise in restraint. It could have been so overly sweet yet it wasn't. Which is a good thing considering how rich this puppy is. Chocolate ganache makes a statement. Both desserts should be shared. They don't have espresso but they do make a nice French press coffee to have with your dessert. 1 pot is enough for 2 people. Service was ok considering current problems getting enough restaurant help. Very friendly if not as attentive as you likely see during normal times. They try hard and do a creditable job. It's a charming venue, too. Beautifully designed with a rustic flair. One thing I really dislike is the choice of light bulbs on the beautiful main chandeliers: bright cold blue-white LED - please please change them to 2700K! I know it's 180 new bulbs but have mercy. I will return to try other things on the menu. I might stick with the vegetable items, desserts, and cocktails, and skip the animal proteins, though. They had a fine looking cauliflower steak on the regular menu.

Went for brunch and ordered the Camping donuts, pimiento sandwich with grilled chicken, and the biscuit and fried chicken dish! All tasty the menu changes each season so you can come back and have a new culinary experience. The decor here is another high point. Huge barn doors, beautiful high ceiling chandeliers and meadow color palette make this a great place to bring out-of-towners! When you get your receipt it has a QR code so you can pay online without waiting!

The food was really good and definitely a scratch kitchen! A great start we're the camping doughnuts and a mimosa! We all had different options including the chicken breakfast sandwich, steak and eggs and the breakfast sandwich with sausage. We added SSCC hash browns and cheesy grits....too much but so enjoyable! Everyone was so friendly, it was a pleasure to dine here. It is in a unique little space within the "alley" where there are lot of unique shops with hingoss, chocolates, a wine bar and a salon.

Our first ever visit was a real mess. Went for happy hour and unfortunately every step of the meal was disappointing. First off, the waitress was clearly not familiar with the menu so we were on our own. The cornbread appetizer was dry and overcooked, inedible and sent back. The fried chicken appetizer was promising but they forgot the advertised honey hot sauce. We looked forward to trying the fennel pork sausage pizza but when it was brought to the table, we were told "we're out of the pork so we substituted with brisket, hope you're ok with that." When we got the check they charged us regular price during happy hour so they had to adjust it. Not an enjoyable experience.

Wait staff was wonderful... management... little rude for instance walked in and was ignored for a solid 2 minutes. The food meh. Nothing to write home about... pretty basic. While boyfriend's French Toast was delicious per him; the crust was burnt, same for the bun for my fried chicken sandwich, and pretty sure my chicken was not fully cooked, so sent it back with a loss of appetite. I will always give a place a second try but going to have to wait for a bit on this one.

Mother's Day brunch was great. Had to make changes in my reservation and they were very nice about it and I'm sure it was hard to juggle. The food was excellent and the service was great. They have lots of fun specials and event so sign up for their email. We always have a good experience here. Consistently good!

What a delight! Meadow ranks among my top 5 culinary experiences in SATX. Everything is soooo fresh. Makes you want to try all sorts of new veggies and dishes because after one bite you know it's all fantastic! We started with the hummus which was so rich and flavorful. Then the oyster mushrooms which were savory and meaty. The Chicken and Shrimp & Grits reminded me of a meal I'd find in Charleston or Atlanta. The depth of flavor in each bits was so unique. I can't say enough! The drinks had seasonal appeal and were perfect for a cool evening. We had the cider and the pumpkin martini and both were excellent. You must try Meadow.

We've been here so many different times and each time I never quite made it to write a review. We've had great experiences from pre-pabdemic to restaurant weeks and regular date nights. During the pandemic, we've enjoyed the outdoor seating area particularly and last night, the outdoor heater kept us warm. We were in time to enjoy some happy hour drinks - I had the Madras which included vodka from the menu and my husband had the Old Fashioned. He had the apple salad and we shared the Rabbit Rillettes which was pate with mustard. That was delicious! For the entrees, I had the pork chop which was slightly on the dry side and my husband had the phenomenal roasted monkfish. I had a bite and it was cooked perfectly. We finished the meal with the apple terrine with butterscotch ice cream which was a great way to end the meal. The last time we visited was for Mother's Day. After so many great experiences we were really disappointed, mostly in service, but Mother's Day, staffing shortages everywhere, we tried to be understanding. I never added a review then, but we decided we'd wait a while for them to get back up to the standard we knew them for. Saw they were participating in Restaurant Week and the menu sounded great, so we decided to give it another shot. Wasn't busy when we arrived (early) but the overall experience this time, from service to food, was not very good. Hubby ordered the fried chicken instead of RW week. It was supposed to come with a honey hot sauce but didn't. We asked for it and then waited, and waited, and waited.... The fried chicken was delicious and the hubby said he'd definitely get that again. Forgot to snap that photo. I ordered off the RW menu. Started with the watermelon and beet salad. Two small pieces of beet on the entire plate, and it was so heavily peppered that it really overpowered the watermelon and everything else. Thankfully the basil provided a little pop of flavor. As an entrée, ordered the pork loin. My salad fork and knife were taken with salad plate so I needed another knife when the entrée arrived so I waited... and waited... and my husband finally just gave me his knife. The bean side dish with mint was the best thing on the plate, followed by the grilled peppers, and lastly the pork. The pork was soooo salty that we quickly ran out of drinks, but no one had come to check on us or even notice we were on empty, and because no one even glanced our way we couldn't really flag anyone down. We were on our last bites of food when we were able to get someone's attention and ask for another drink, so then we waited... and waited... Mine came with dessert and I opted for the cornbread pudding with ice cream. The candy bar is my go-to dessert but I wanted to try something different. It arrived at the table and, again, I had no utensils. The young man who delivered it said he'd be right back with a spoon. Can you guess what happened next? I waited... and waited... and watched him go around to other tables as my ice cream melted... and melted. The check arrived and I immediately hit the Apple Pay option and 20% tip button without even perusing the receipt. A pop-up said I'd get a receipt in my email. When we got in the car, I received the email notification. I looked at the receipt then and noticed I was grossly undercharged. My entire meal was missing! Back inside I went to have it corrected. I'm not sure what's going on over there but it was very disappointing. I hope this isn't the new Meadow standard! Just in case, we'll give it another big break... my husband will be so disappointed he won't be having any delicious fried chicken for a while but, when he does, hopefully things will be the way they used to be!

I decided to write my review after dining in for brunch and drinker. I went to Meadow on Saturday with my bestie. I was recommended this restaurant through the Yelp app, and I trust the algorithm. It was an absolute HIT. I don't know what I was eating before, but it certainly wasn't BRUNCH brunch. I order the Hill Country Breakfast which came with moist brisket, two sunny side up eggs, potatoes, 1 tortilla, and I added a side of bacon to it. The side of bacon was very generous! Must have been 6 strips, I was expecting 2. The portions were plenty. I was most surprised and delight by the homemade flour tortilla! Whoa! It was better than most Mexican restaurants! The dinner: I would probably come back when they change the menu up. I normally order an adventurous entree for dinner when trying for the first time, rather than eating a burger or something "safe". I ordered the Pork Chop. Unfortunately, the side was a big flop for me. The mushrooms with the peas were a weird texture and flavor. I ended up ordering the pizza off their small plate section and that was just a no. Each bite was inconsistent. Although I was disappointed with dinner, their brunch is the BEST brunch in the city. I can't believe I have gone this long without out it.

The venue is uniquely decorated. The menu selections are also unique. Cocktail selection unique. How many times can I say unique?? That's what makes it kinda special! Pricing is good.
