"Cantonese spot Ming’s Seafood’s enormous dim sum selection is full of gems (don’t miss the crispy shrimp in red rice rolls), including several dumplings. Try the steamed har gow (shrimp dumplings) in cuttlefish wrappers or the Teochew-style dumplings with the crunch of peanut waiting inside. It also has superb lunch and dinner service featuring classic Cantonese fare, including an extensive salt and pepper program." - Erika Adams, Valerie Li Stack, Eater Staff

"Assemble a Cantonese seafood feast at Ming’s, a crowd-favorite for a multitude of seafood dishes, including crispy prawns with XO sauce, sauteed clams in black bean sauce, and braised fish fillet cooked in a clay pot. It’s all housed inside a elegant banquet hall. And, a not-so-small side benefit: It has a blessedly large parking lot on-site." - Erika Adams

The restaurant is pretty big , so it is good for big group gathering. You can sit for a longer time compared to other small restaurant. The service is good, not too much and it would not disturb you to enjoy your time/food. The atmosphere is just like typical Chinese restaurant, noisy( positive ) and a lot of people talking. Love the feeling. The food is not the best , but the whole package is good.

Google
Great place to have dimsum. Place is very spacious. All the Dim Sum staples were so good. My favorite were the chicken feet, hak gao, and pork ribes w/ noodles.

Google
The food is ok but the service is bad. I came here at 1:30 pm and it was not busy but the waitress/waiter came to our table 2 time, 1 for taking order and 1 giving check. I had to go to the corner to take things I want by myself. I decided to give 10% tip but the lady in the reception (asian) said that I have to pay 18% at least in very impolite way, then the other one (mexican I think) came and said I can give tip whatever I want but in the very very impolite way! I’ve came so many time before but this time very disappointed me. We were group of 2 adults and 5 years-old kid, not a over 6-8 people group and bad service and ask for over 18% tip then yell at customers face???????

Google
Ming's Seafood Restaurant is a popular Chinese dim sum and banquet hall used for a wide range of celebrations, whether it's a birthday, wedding, or other life events. Staff are friendly, bring food out quickly and can adapt to any needs requested. It does help to know Mandarin or Cantonese, but staff will be nice even if you don't speak the language. The food is quite good. Pretty standard Cantonese dishes available, and the portions are generous.

Food was great. The dumplings were delicious with large pieces of shrimp in the filling. I HIGHLY recommend the stir fried noodles, they are crunchy and tasty. The service was good with the food arriving within five or so minutes. The only thing with the service is that they sometimes forget your order and you end up having to wait extra time for your food. The atmosphere was amazing with good music and the fish tank kept the kids busy. Just so you know the fish in the fish tank are depressed and just lay on the floor of the tank lying there.

Google
Excellent Cantonese mainstay for big meals, banquets, and dim sum standards. Enormous dim sum menu of approximately 100 dishes. Large but not overwhelmingly so menu of entrees. Everything very good. Live fish, eels, lobsters, and crabs on site. Good hall with a bar area, two semi private spaces, raised dias. Bright and well kept. Decorated for Christmas. Broad storefront in strip mall with huge grocery and ample parking. Not excessive in any direction, especially if packed for dimsum. Helpful staff, large portions, fair prices. Large order came out quickly at a slow part of the evening. Everything was as it should be. Nothing excessively salty. Beef tender and flavorful. Vegetables toothsome. Mapo tofu mild, but still good. Clay pot very nicely done. Tried a dozen dishes or more. Highly recommended, especially if you like Cantonese food and hate surprises.

Google
Ming Seafood Restaurant in Quincy, Boston, delivers an unforgettable dim sum experience that will leave any food lover in awe. The moment you walk in, the lively atmosphere and the fragrant aroma of freshly prepared dim sum instantly transport you to the heart of a traditional Chinese dining hall. Their steamed shrimp rice rolls are a must try delicately smooth and filled with perfectly cooked, juicy shrimp, enveloped in a silky rice roll that melts in your mouth. The chicken feet, a classic dim sum delicacy, are tender and packed with flavor, braised in a rich sauce that elevates the dish. The siu mai is another highlight each bite is a heavenly combination of plump, juicy pork and shrimp, seasoned to perfection. For the adventurous, the pig intestines are a revelation crispy, flavorful, and surprisingly addictive, showcasing expert preparation and deep, bold flavors. Their fish porridge is comfort in a bowl rich, creamy, and brimming with delicate, fresh fish that melts with every spoonful. It’s a perfect balance of flavor and texture, offering a light yet deeply satisfying dish. This is a place where every dish is crafted with care, and every visit is memorable.

Google
Food and service were decent. The restaurant was spacious. Good selection of dim sum dishes. There are no carts with dim sum dishes that comes around for customers to pick out dishes. Instead customers select dishes from a menu with pictures. Most dishes were warm and not steaming hot coming off a cart. I prefer the traditional carts as this is part of the dim sum experience. Overall a decent experience.

Yelp
I thought Ming's was a solid dimsum place. The food portions are huge for dimsum and quality was good. The lava pineapple buns are delicious - eat them while hot! They will bring over scissors to cut up everything for you if you ask them. We had a birthday celebration and they were so accomodating, bringing out a cake that we brought and playing a birthday song on these portable speakers. It was pretty funny. They had a huge variety of dimsum too. Get the turnip cakes, steamed rice rolls, chasiu baos. Of note, you order off a menu, not off carts, but they do bring out your food on carts. There are really cute desserts and animal-themed food for kids too! Very fun. Ming's is felt to be pretty legit by the Chinese community - they will host Chinese style banquets for events too; I've been to one banquet here and it was amazing! Ming's is a pretty solid restaurant and definitely one that I would recommend.

Yelp
Overall: I was recommended this place as one of the better dim sum places if not the best in Boston. I leave with a lackluster experience in food quality from a very fancy (by Chinese dim sum standards) establishment. Food: Har Gow rice wrapper was very grainy typical of pre frozen. The rice rolls with Chinese donut did not even have the right sauce to go with them. The radish/turnip cakes had no texture. The bok choy had a bit of a bitter taste to them. The beef intestines were a bit chewy but actually pretty good. Lastly, the custard filled buns (minion shape) tasted surprisingly not bad. But the bun itself was similar to pre frozen kinds. Ambience/Service/Decor: I will say the redeeming factor of the service being quick and always available was nice. The fact that it's also quite clean and a very large space helps as well.

Yelp
I don't like seafood at all, and neither does my spouse. But, whatever we ordered was actually good, and very pretty. Very high quality. However, I found the prices were very high, the service was just OK. Nothing bad about it, but just OK. And, despite order several items and dishes of foods, no one was full, satisfied, or satiated, and the bill was painful. It was tasty, but the price was not exactly right for what we got. The table was also not very clean when we got there, and I had to wipe it myself. And, the waiter ignored us for over 20 min. Very high quality hand made viddles, super pretty looking food, and a very high price, with so-so service, that leaves your belly still empty, and your wallet in extreme pain. I don't think anyone wants to return. Sorry.

Kim Y.

Yelp
Excellent food! Large space! Service is fast. Thank you to the managers Amay and Snow for your help. Will be returning for sure! Thank you

Yelp
I love dim sum and I've been here before. However, today was somewhat a flop. The restaurant is very beautiful inside. Lots of space. It's located in a plaza so parking is ample. Handicap accessible. The first soup dumplings my son bit into had a long, blonde brassy strand of hair in the meat part so it was obviously cooked into it. I called the server over and tried not to make a stink because I wanted my kid to not get grossed out. However, the server gestured to me as to ask if it was my hair. I told her no. She walked away and brought the manager over. They all looked at me and I said, "I have long black hair. That's blonde." I was offended as I tried not to make a big deal out of it. They did replace our soup dumplings but our appetites were gone by now. Chicken feet in black bean sauce is always my go to at any dim sum. This was fresh and fall off the bone with great flavor. The honeycomb tripe in satay sauce had great flavor and very tender but the pieces could've been cut a little smaller. It's hard for me to try to cut with chopsticks. Braised short ribs lacked a bit of flavor but edible. The deep fried crab claw with shrimp stuffing was phenomenal. Presentation was top tier, flavor and texture was amazing! The duck shaped mango pudding and rabbit coconut pudding were more of a novelty. They were mediocre at best but super cute. I would return. I wish they had all the dim sum menu items available at once. The better options weren't available until after 11am so we were limited today.

Yelp
The website is essentially in Chinese but the menu in the restaurant does have an English translation and pictures. My daughter's boyfriend was the only non Asian there when we went for dim sum for lunch if that's important to you. They did speak passable English. They don't have carts going around the too, you check off what you want on a paper menu. The portions are very large, especially the larger dishes which are served after 11:00. I like the har kau (shrimp dumplings), the siu mai and the xiao long bao (soup dumplings). Only have large tables but our party of 3 did not have to share with other people. Fairly priced. Would go again

Meiyi Y.

Yelp
I like how the restaurant has a variety of dim sum selection, both traditional and more modern styles of dishes. My favorites are always the pork and vegetable dumplings as well as the different types of congee! My friend and I (party of 2) went for a late weekday lunch and there were a lot of tables available. Weekend brunch times are usually more full but the wait also wasn't very long since the restaurant has plenty of seating!

Fennie W.

Yelp
Pretty decent for Boston! Some dishes were a bit salty and it made me thirsty and parched but overall yummy. Expensive compared to NY prices. Place is HUGE. Lots of seating and space. Staff are very friendly and attentive with refilling our tea and cleaning out the plates. Came here for dimsum during lunch and dinner time. Lunch gets pretty busy on a weekend and it was quite empty in a Friday night. Big parking lot space.

Rovingaile P.

Yelp
4.5/5! Arrived around 11 and was seated 30-minutes later despite having a packed restaurant. The dumplings were steamed and seasoned perfectly. The tripe had great texture and tasted light with the ginger and scallion. The lava bun was so cute but would've appreciated a bit more sauce inside. Overall found my new dim sum spot in the Boston area and will come back. :)

Chris T.

Yelp
A staple now, yes it's a bit pricier then other Dimsum's or Chinese food spots in the city, but the service is usually quick, the space is large and accommodating, decor is nice, areas are clean and parking is ample. Easy to get to, serve dim sum made to order with specialty baos and cute animal shaped items. Comes out hot fresh and you just have to pull a server or waive one down when you need more water, tea (gotta pay for chrysanthemum as most places) and your hot sauces or sweet soy sauce. The family dinner each table holds about 10 adults, this is also a hotspot for weddings (attended many here). Food to me is always authentic, always fresh and i haven't had any issues each time i was here. We usually order for dinners, salt and pepper squid porkchop shrimp or fish, steaks, lobster, occasionally king crab. Pan fried noodles, vermicilli with clam and scallion oil garlic, sizzling beef's, half chicken, whatever really the family is craving. Will be back per usual.

Phil T.

Yelp
Food is okay. Service is spotty. The only thing going for this restaurant is that it's huge so if you have a big party they accommodate well. Otherwise everything is basic and nothing stands out and the food is expensive.

Linh N.

Yelp
One of the best dim sum we've ever had. We ordered the usual but also tried some of their other items and the portions are huge for the none traditional dim sum items. Loved their chicken congee comes in a big pot. Also enjoyed their desserts. Service was quick and efficient. The restaurant is big with plenty of seating. Nice and clean! Would eat here often if we lived here.

Rocky W.

Yelp
The food here is quite good. I love going here or Windsor for dim sum in Quincy. It's a large restaurant with plenty of seating so there usually is no wait or a short wait. It's located next to Ranch 99 and conveniently has a large parking lot. For larger dishes (available after 11am), my go to are the dry beef chow fun salt & pepper chicken wings, calamari tentacles, and clams. They're a big portion and delicious. The leftover salt and pepper seasoning is good on rice or noodles. The scallop & peapod stems with beet dumplings and crispy shrimp red rice rolls were bad and I wouldn't order them again. They have lots of food that "for the gram" that I liked including the shrimp dumplings with truffle cuttlefish, salty egg york lava bun with charcoal powder, pig shaped steamed salty egg york lava buns, minion custard bun, duck shaped mango pudding, and rabbit coconut pudding. The chicken congee is awesome, made just like home. The menu says it feeds 4-6 people and it comes in a huge pot with a generous portion of chicken. For 10 hungry people who ordered way too much, I was pleasantly surprised when our bill was only slightly over $300 so you can't beat the price here. We all left really full and satisfied. The service was good for a Chinese restaurant, we did have to flag someone down occasionally, but the waiter was attentive with our water and tea. What keeps me coming back are the convenience, good prices, good service, and unique dim sum items that they have.

Peter P.

Yelp
Ming's has improved greatly since its opening and has now become a staple for the Chinese community in Quincy. They now are much better staffed and the food is solid and consistent each time I visit. The venue and the bathrooms are fairly clean. This is a popular location for all kinds of celebratory events large and small. The dim sum is decent and you can shop at 99 Ranch whilst you wait for a table.

Tuli S.

Yelp
Bit of a hike but worth it! I came here this past weekend with a few friends. We arrived around 12:45 and were quoted about a 25 min wait (Sunday). The place was insanely busy! We were seated within 20 min which was great. Now to the food! We ordered the following items. Shumai - Yummy, exactly as expected! Shrimp hargow - Also as expected Chicken feet - Excellent, loved the sauce Minion custard buns - Not as advertised, the minions didn't have eyeballs! Also the custard to bun ratio was off. Would have preferred more custard. Wouldn't get this again. Clams with black bean sauce - Loved this! No prices listed so I think it was much pricer than we thought. Shrimp rolls - Good but every order wasn't hot Pork bbq buns - love! Sweet pork bun (got this by accident) - These were super sweet because of the sugar crust. Would not get this or recommend it. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good but not the right temperature for a few things. I'd think that's easy to fix! We paid 111 excluding tip for 4. I'm surprised it's more expensive because it's outside the city. I would come back but I'd rather go to winsor in Chinatown! Also they do a cash discount during the week not the weekends.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
I visited Ming's last week for dim sum brunch. It is a banquet hall, so tables are generally filled with groups of families throughout. I went at around 11 AM, so there wasn't a wait for a table, but afterward, a huge line started forming. They have a large selection of dishes, my favorites were: the honeycomb tripe, shrimp dumpling, shumai, and chicken feet. The xiao long bao was too oversteamed, so it lost all of its juice. My table definitely ordered a bunch of dishes and everyone was satisfied with it. However, I wish they were a bit more giving with their spicy mustard, they only gave us two ramekins worth. For dessert, I tried the mango pudding that were shaped like rubber ducks. Refreshing and not to osweet. I think I would definitely return if I am in the area, especially for another big family meal. The service was fast and attentive. There is also a lot of parking in ther area.

Kerrie D.

Yelp
A recent Friday night dinner at the Mings in Quincy was 100%. There was: Walnut shrimp Pan fried fish and vegetables Lobster and noodles A lamb dish Stir fried pea shoots Fermented tofu A tapioca pudding dessert Everything came out in quick succession and was placed on the huge lazy susan in the middle of the table. We rolled it around for the next couple of hours and enjoyed the great company and the fantastic food!

Lisa S.

Yelp
Had dinner with four and shared many dishes. Lobster Crab Crab Rangoons Fast service at table While waiting. Drinks under $12 at bar cash only. Wouldn't take credit card.

Fiona W.

Yelp
Deserves higher rating on Yelp!! Amazing dim sum, great service, and lively atmosphere. We ordered a lot of food. My favorite was the Large Creamy Egg Yolk Custard Buns, Steamed Rice Flour Rolls with Crispy Fried Dough, Pan Fried Turnip Cake, and Siu Mai Pork and Shrimp Dumplings. Normally I don't love Siu Mai but I really liked how they seasoned the Siu Mai. I can't wait to come back to eat more dim sum!

John R.

Yelp
Saturday dim sum pretty busy. Party of 7 seated about 15 minutes. Dim sum ordered from menu card. Service was very good and food arrived within a reasonable amount of time and dishes spread out to allow us time to eat and space for dishes. Sui Mai and haw gar were very good as were variety of steamed rice roll we tried. Lo bok goe in XO was good but not a strong flavor as not a lot of sauce. Wife also ordered beef chow foon and that was good but thin on beef. Roast pork steamed rice roll was interesting as not a pork filling but roast pork seemed placed in noodle as cooked do stuck to it rather than as a filling.

Kelly C.

Yelp
Very spacious, great for small or larger parties of friends. The service is like that of any other dim sum restaurant. This is my go to for dim sum in Boston. Too bad it's not closer to Boston itself or in Chinatown. I've been to Hei La Moon a few times and I would recommend this one 10 times out of 10. They have a great selection of dim sum, all the classics.

Lizzie Y.

Yelp
There's not many Chinese restaurants in the area that are as large as Ming's nor as modern looking. Because of this, many people will come here to dine for morning/afternoon dim sum or dinner. They have more options for dim-sum compared to most, offering cute minion buns, red rice rolls with shrimp complimented with spicy mayo, and more. The reason for my 3 stars is because their food is not consistent at all. Their food has never been the best but some days the food definitely lacks more than usual.

U L.

Yelp
Came here for a wedding and it was my first time here. I heard about this place a lot. Now I can see why this place is so popular for events, weddings, dim sum, lunch, and dinner. This place is huge and service was excellent. Plenty of free parking and location is great, only a few minutes from Boston. Interior is nice looking and modern. The dishes from 10-course meal came out in great timing. I had been to weddings where one dish came out and then after it's been long finished, then the next dish comes out. This is not what you want at a wedding and at a table with 10 hungry guests. I will consider this place for my own future wedding.

HeyYou W.

Yelp
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. Some observations: The staff has trouble getting the hot sauce, napkins. They are inattentive even when the restaurant is slow- asked for hot sauce twice to two different people and didn't get it. I had to get up and walk myself over to their station. They will remind customers to include a tip. Now, I am a very good tipper. No need to insult me by asking me to tip you, especially after subpar service and not doing the bare minimum. Came here again this time to celebrate new year for early dinner. The one and only good thing about Ming's is the parking. Everything else is mediocre. Service is subpar too. I asked for hot sauce twice and they ignored me. I asked for it n Canto and English. Not sure if they understood or ignored me. It wasn't busy (3:30 pm on a saturday). I had to walk myself to tea station and ask for hot sauce . To top it off , the hot sauce was flavorless. While I'm on the subject - the salt and pepper calamari was pathetic; it was cold and chewy. I bet it is pre cooked in the back and they simply scooped in up and placed on the plate (like a buffet) . Don't order it. Their best dish was the fried flounder. I NEVER come here on my own; always an invite to a family or friend gathering. Any place in Quincy is better than this establishment.

Brian D.

Yelp
Mings is a large place and looking at it, it has a lot of potential, the fresh seafood tanks were stocked full and looked clean, the dim sum menu was extensive with items I wanted to try. The actual delivered food looked okay on presentation, but either lacking in taste or in the case of the steamed beef ribs, tough as leather. Now my teeth are good, so this was really a tough experience, but the taste of the sauce on that item was actually pretty good. If I had to sum it up we had I believe 8 different dishes and none of it was very memorable on any front. it was pretty generic dim sum. The rice noodle in XO sauce was very bland and I usually like this dish at other establishments, plus the price tag for that item is unjustifiable. Yesterday was probably my 3rd time at Mings and I don't think I will be returning again. There are other Dim sum places in the area that serve better dim sum and are more worth my financial expenditure.

Maria G.

Yelp
Still a solid 4 star review! I've been back a couple of times for dine-in service. Air ventilation/CO2 level is pretty good. I just can't believe the overall dim sum price has increased so much over the past couple of years! A shrimp dumpling or shu mai is priced at $6.50 per dish. Pro tip: if you come here on the weekends, make sure to arrive at 9:45 AM to grab a ticket first. Also grab a pencil and menu to select your orders while you wait. When they officially open at 10 AM, your party must be present to be seated. They will bring you to a table and you can just hand off your selection with little wait time. There is no traditional push cart. You order from the menu (they have photos!!) and they bring out your food on a push cart. I actually like this process much better! Much more efficient. Yelp says they open at 9 AM, but they actually open at 10 AM. Always a plus that there is free parking!

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I am surprised this place doesn't have higher reviews. I've had both dinner and dim sum here with a large party and the food has been consistently good. I actually prefer dim sum here over Winsor. Spacious. Clean. Quick service. The bbq pork buns and steamed salty egg yolk buns are dynamite (eat it when it's hot!). Salt and pepper clams is such a unique and delightful item -- similar to fried clams but Chinese style. Parking is easy. Next door to Ranch 99. Downfall is sometimes they close for weddings or large events on weekend evenings, so call ahead to confirm.

Sonia N.

Yelp
Given I've dined here for dim sum and dinner countless times, it's about time to give an all inclusive review. I'll admit, when these guys first opened their doors a few years back, I thought "eh - nothing special", about 3 stars. In fact, the extremely long wait times for dim sum (2 hrs+) and mediocre dinner service back then were a bit of a turnoff but no one could ever say that the decor was anything but nice and modern, especially for a Chinese restaurant. Then sometime around last summer, something changed for the better. I think they must've hired a new main chef because starting with our dinner on my dad's birthday in August 2022, the food was much better in terms of taste and quality, much to our surprise. Since then, we've had takeout via Doordash on other days (including heavy Christmas dinner rollout) and dinner again last night for my nephew's birthday and the flavor was consistent and delicious. I also went for dim sum a couple weeks ago and I forgot how many pescatarian options they had on their menu which was a definite plus. It appears that they no longer stroll around with the steaming carts anymore but that didn't really matter to us in any way so yeah, welcome back into the rolodex of local Chinese restaurant options, Ming! You've come a long way baby.

Joy G.

Yelp
Definitely scratched the dim sum itch. We came around 11am on a weekend, expecting a crazy line for a group of 5, but we didn't have to wait at all, which was a nice surprise. I had high hopes of seeing old ladies pushing around the carts (a dim sum tradition) but then saw something even better - a robot on wheels ferrying takeout orders from the kitchen to the front desk. It was an amazing sight. You put in an order for drinks and then they give you an enormous menu and a pencil to mark down on a sheet what you want. We basically got one of all the buns, which were the standouts. Food came out super quickly and was warm. Next time, definitely want to try more options, as well as the congee and noodle dishes. My favorites - Brown sugar walnut buns. I loved how they made the buns actually look like walnuts when you crack them open. Sweet pork buns. Lots of pork filling and the bun was so soft and delicate. Jellyfish. This was my favorite dim sum dish as a kid. I liked how they added slivers of radish. The portion was enormous, really good at the price point. Baked egg tarts. Loved how layered the pastry crust was, and how the filling was so delicate and not too sweet. We staggered past several thresholds of fullness to manage to clean almost everything off the Lazy Susan. Price came out to be about $36 including tip per person, which seems on the higher end for dim sum, but we did order a lot. Docking one star for how neither the menu nor the paper sheet listed prices, so we only found out how much everything was at the end when we paid. Parking: Enormous parking lot right out in front, since Ming's is next to a 99 Ranch. Lots of spots.

Mimi C.

Yelp
This place is usually packed and would have a long wait time. Due to the recent arctic freezing winds, there weren't many people and we were able to get seated almost immediately. The dim sum here is very aesthetically pleasing. Foodwise, half was great and the other half was barely decent. They heavily advertise the beet colored shrimp roll and black truffles shrimp dumplings. The shrimp roll is very tasty, however, the black truffles shrimp dumpling tasted sour; it was bad. The rest of the food was decent, nothing overwhelming, but good enough for gatherings. The biggest perk about this dim sum place is its parking lot and you can do your asian grocery shopping next door.

Scott S.

Yelp
I'm tired if the staff constantly saying please give tip in cash, you are ordering too much food, are you sure you want this, and other rude comments. It feels like they don't want any customers but Asians dining, my kids are 22,20 years old and love dim sum but hate the environment. Management. Needs to retrain staff and also remind them that discrimination is against the law and I will file a complaint with Quincy and State of Massachusetts. I plan on recording our experience via video the next time we dine.

Cal L.

Yelp
This is probably going to be the best dim sum one would find in the Boston area. It's located in this great shopping center with a 99 Ranch Market. The grocery store has a great selection and right next to it, is a restaurant worthy of coexisting in the same plaza. The food is always fresh and the portions are generous. There's a huge selection of every imaginable Cantonese dim sum dish, with a huge emphasis on seafood, as the name suggests. Service is pretty good too, which is worth mentioning because sometimes the service at these sorts of restaurants is hit or miss. We come here once every few weeks. A little on the pricey end for sure but you get what you pay for. Be sure to get the shrimp balls attached to the crab legs - epic! My favorite is probably the shrimp dumplings with truffle cuttlefish sauce.

Bernie K.

Yelp
We used to come here for dinner often , we haven't been here for a few months. Something changed! Everything we ordered came out quickly but they were horrible! Not what it used to be. They must have lost their chef. Too heavy with sauces.

Jean H.

Yelp
Ming Seafood is my go-to place for dim sum around Boston. A good selection of the classic dim sum dishes. The menu is very user-friendly, with pictures for each dim sum dish. You order through a sheet at your table instead of the push carts. There are also larger dishes outside of the dim sum menu you can order. The food is pretty fresh and always tasty. The space is giant. There is a line on the weekend for brunch/lunch times, but it moves pretty quickly. No reservation needed even for the busiest times.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Solid dimsum spot that's great for large groups. I usually go to the Malden location and both menus are pretty similar. They no longer do the carts, but now have a menu that you can fill out with what you want. The perk is that your food will be for sure hot when it comes out.

Yelp
Reminds me of a classic Chinese banquet hall buzzing with people and waiters--a feeling of lively energy and weekend morning celebrations. With that being said, I really appreciate their creative spins on dimsum classics, but I find the flavor to be a little lacking. The texture and mouth feel of some dishes are not quite right, and the taste is definitely on the lighter side (not a bad thing, but not up my alley). Dimsum: 6.5/10 Menu Dishes: 7.5/10

Yelp
Dim sum is ordered thru a large menu listings with accompanied pictorials. Also, dim sum dining is available all week. Food quality and freshness are tops for this place. Once you ordered the food, the turn around time is less than 15 minutes on a weekday. Service is a little better than in Chinatown in Boston. Also, since it's located in a shopping plaza, parking is a breeze. Also next door has a convenient Ranch 99 grocery store.

Yelp
So the last time I dine here was for dim sum and this time we had a large dinner get together. 22 for the party and had to split into 2 tables. Ordered approximately 14 dishes duplicated the same dishes for both tables. Dishes was ok. A few better than others. And a large bowl of rice was ordered for each table and have not shown up. So half way through dinner and no rice! Where is the rice? How are we supposed to enjoy our dishes without white rice? This is crazy I had to ask the waitress twice and nothing. I saw her ask a waiter after my second time asking. So another 10 mins and still no rice, now nobody's eating because we're waiting on the rice. So I had to get up from the table and walk over to another waitress and demanded some service and get the rice for our tables. This restaurant has the worst wait staff I've had to suffered with. Yes your servers really suck at their jobs.

Yelp
Overall, Ming Seafood Restaurant offers decent dim sum with some hits and misses. Despite the large crowd, my friends and I (a party of 3) received seating in 5 minutes. To start with the misses, the shrimp dumpling deviated from tradition with a strong garlic flavor that I enjoyed. The skin however, was too tough. The shumai also proved a bit tough. The radish cake also did not have a crispy exterior, instead being a goop. For solid dishes, the beef short ribs seemed tender; the tripe absorbed the chicken broth well. Also, the rice noodle rolls with shrimp possessed decently chewy textures. Lastly, the highlights. The 腐皮捲 (fried bean curd roll) was piping hot and packed with umami. The egg tarts and char siu pastries were extra flaky and buttery.

Yelp
Great selection of Dum Sum! Large selection of fresh fish and would like to go back for dinner sometime.

Yelp
Ming Seafood is an elevated spacious restaurant that also features morning dimsum. On our Friday brunch visit, we ordered our dimsum off a paper menu. There was no transparency with prices for each item on the menu which was a little jarring. Other than that, food was decent - Ming's gets creative and offers some fusion dim sum dishes which can be worth their premium price as long as you are willing to try! 4.5 - Ambiance (super comfy and spacious) 3.5 - dim sum quality/value for price point 4.5 - food innovation Decking half a point for the lack of transparency on prices per item Items: Red shrimp rice roll (13.95) - very pricey for a rice roll - a rice roll with shrimp tempura - very nice to try Fried dough in rice roll ($6.25) - a dimsum classic, very tasty! Squid ink scallop roll (15.95) - fusion rice roll dish, we liked this less than the red one because the skin was a little be too tough due to the squid ink Siu Mai (6.25) - classic dimsum dish, runs a Lil pricier here Goji berry jelly (4.25) - I rarely see this which us why we ordered it! Warning, if you take this out it can melt in the heat although it can kind of solidify if you stick it back in the fridge. Duck blood porridge (7.95) - duck blood is not as commonly found; unfortunately the porridge was a tad bit bland. The toppings provided with the porridge were great though! Fried turnip cake (6.25) - a classic, it was a little mushy here Stuffed fish in eggplant (6.25) - I've had better

Yelp
We think this restaurant is good for family atmosphere gather together. The food look very nice and fancy but it just taste okay only. HOWEVER FOR WEDDING CELEBRATION, DO NOT BOOK HERE. We had family wedding celebration here in Oct, 202. The service in the front desk and server were so bad. On wedding guest table, they took the food away even when you didn't finish the food yet. And they try to put the new food on the table kind of rushing. After all the food came out, they gave us the wedding cake. our table have 10 people but they only gave us 7 dish of cake. We tried to ask for three times and they all ignored us. And then They gave us the desert was only had 6 bowls and was so little desert inside. Food on the wedding no taste at all and few were salty. Some of our family and friend had the same experience here on wedding party as us.

Yelp
Mediocre. Back in Boston for a quick visit from the Bay Area. Unfortunately, not a lot of dim sum options in Boston. So here I am for a taste with family and friends. Top three dishes: 1) Salt and pepper fried chicken wings 2) Egg tarts 3) Vegetarian pan fried noodles

Yelp
Ming Seafood has a very clean and spacious dining hall with many tables. Both the dim sum and a la carte menus are very good. I'd recommend the pea shoots in garlic and the beef chow fun. The service is about what you would expect so I have no complaints. Very tasty!

Yelp
This restaurant have a nice atmosphere. But the food need some upgrades. I was at this restaurant for my cousin's wedding and everyone there is really disappointed on the food. The food is salty and not flavorful. I just hope that if we ever come back things will change. The service was okay but expected to be better since it is a fancy restaurant.

Yelp
Will never come back. They charge $1 for tea automatically for each person even you don't need or want to drink tea. Is this legal? I haven't encountered this, that you are automatically charged for tea even you dont want it.

Yelp
I enjoyed my dimsum experience here! Spacious layout, clean and well-decorated interior. Service was pretty good. You order all your dimsum dishes on a piece of paper and hand it to your server, which is nice because you don't have to wait for carts to come around. The food came out pretty quickly! We couldn't see any prices on the menu, but the total came out to be pretty reasonable and the portion sizes were decent. Agree that the crispy pork buns were one of the best dishes! I liked that there was parking and that we could go to 99 Ranch next door. I think the only unfortunate thing, as with most Chinese places, is that the vegetarian options were limited. Tips: - No reservations allowed before 4pm, so come early to grab a table and avoid a wait. - They allow you to bring in a cake for a celebratory occasion without a cake cutting fee. They even let me use their knives and plates for the cake. - Paying in cash = discount

Yelp
This restaurant is huge and beautiful. There are so many waiters and their dim sum ordering is easy. This has the most dim sum selection I've ever seen. The egg lava buns, chicken claws, marinated jelly fish, fried calamari, and beef tripe were my favorite. The fried foods were not oily at all. Well done. This place is perfect for holding wedding or birthdays.

Yelp
We went at a really busy time, but we only waited maybe 45 minutes before we got sat. The food came out relatively quickly after we ordered and tasted good. Definitely a little on the expensive side for dim sum, but there is a lot of variety to choose from. They did still have someone's wedding decorations up which I laughed at a little.
