"Minuto Bauli, a small chain bakery in Italy, has their first location on this side of the Atlantic near Union Square. They sell variations on one pastry: a mini pandoro made with their century-old family starter, and stuffed with various pastry creams and fruits." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

Why Some of NYC’s Best New Bakeries Are Going All In on Just One Treat | Eater NY

"An Italian bakery that opened its first U.S. location just north of Union Square as the brand’s 15th outpost, specializing in a single pastry: fluffy sourdough buns filled with options like pastry cream and pistachio spread. Company leadership says offering only one pastry created a strong identity that enabled international expansion and allowed the team to focus on quality, consistency, and delivering a meaningful customer experience." - Liz Provencher

3.5 Learned about Minuto Bauli from social media so wanted to try. Liked that we can customize donuts. Located by Union Square which we frequent; very accessible by public transportation. The place is a beautifully decorated cafe- with pinks and purples in the decor, a lot of seating (tables towards the back and counter seating), merchandise section. By the entrance is the donut station so a group of people actually came in and commented on the sweet aroma from outside. There are 2 sizes for donuts. We got the regular brioche (smaller size) -$5.75 with 1 filling and 2 topping (they have lists of options). We opted for double filling so $6.25 each. For the 2 we ordered, we tasted pistachio spread (sticky consistency), pastry cream and chocolate cream, pistachios (could use more) and cocoa and caramel crumble toppings. Sweet as a whole so need to share with someone. Check out their menu for adding ice cream, beverages etc. Service is great. They accommodated our requests and very friendly. Restroom available.

A very beautiful, minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing Italian pastry shop! The pastries are absolutely delicious! The buns are so soft, fluffy and warm! The fillings and toppings add so much flavor and taste to it! I absolutely recommend the pistachio & hazelnut filling! The prices are fair and affordable as well! On top of their amazing pastries and service, Gian Luca and his team are very welcoming and kind! They absolutely deliver the best service, and go above and beyond! I will be definitely returning soon!

The first time I had it, I absolutely loved it! The pastry was so soft, fluffy, and tasted super fresh. I tried both the hazelnut and pistachio cream—both were so good. I’ve already come back four times in just three weeks, lol. That should tell you how much I enjoyed it. Definitely worth a visit! But my last visit wasn’t great as the first one. The pastry didn’t seem as fresh. But at least my other visits were good.

Wonderful service and beautiful interior. I tried their regular with pistachio spread and the texture was different than I expected! Thick like peanut butter. Might be interested in trying it with ice cream instead.

The place is so cute and spacious. Service was great, everyone was super friendly. The bread is fluffy and the filling is delicious especially the pistachio one. But the coffee could be better. It looked really “milky” like there was no coffee in it. Otherwise it would’ve been a 5 star.

The bun is so soft and fresh, the chocolate practically melts in your mouth. They have so many flavors and variety of toppings to choose from which I loved. They were very generous with the filling and everyone was so nice and friendly during our visit. I also ordered a cappuccino and OMG it was exceptional. We loved that they have the served it in porcelain cups, that truly makes the difference for a good coffee! Is such a lovely place to sit down and enjoy the product, will definitely become a regular customer.

My family and I took the hour drive from long island to visit and we were amazed at how similar the Bauli were from the ones in Verona! The people were incredibly friendly! I would definitely recommend and come again. Make the trip for a taste of Italy.

A lilac-wrapped vintage Vespa welcomes you to the Italian bakery's signature pastry displays. The beautiful cafe brings the warmth and tradition of a neighborhood pasticceria. The pastries are fresh and flavorful with variety of unique fillings and coffee served is delicious. The service is friendly with a welcoming atmosphere. The dough is prepared in Italy and then shipped to NYC where it is freshly baked. Check it out for a taste of Verona in NYC.
