The Best Sushi Restaurants in Broward County and Fort Lauderdale - Eater Miami

"Opened in May 2023 by chefs Thuan Lam – founder of Phat Boy Sushi & Kitchen – and Jay Barashari, this place is gold, literally. Gold stools and lights don the primary bar, as swirls of gold and green color its walls. Its sushi menu spans the simple (e.g., the Belly Tasting with cuts of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail) to the intricate (e.g., the OG Passakos, a tempura lobster with wagyu concoction)." - Jesse Scott

I finally had the chance to check out a relatively new place called MISO Japanese Tapas in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It's a laid-back restaurant known for its modern Japanese cuisine and Asian fusion, featuring tapas, seafood, sushi, and ramen. The atmosphere is lively, the dishes are innovative, and the service is outstanding. A big shoutout to Chefs Thuan Lam and Jay Barashari for creating such a fantastic experience. From the beginning, the customer service was exceptional. MISO generously offers to cover your parking ticket for nearby parking, whether it's across the street or just around the corner. The place features an open kitchen, lively artwork, and provides a cool, cozy atmosphere perfect for a date, a local visit, or meeting up with friends. MISO is tapas style, so the portions are great for shareable bites. TAPAS Miso Seabass - Miso glazed Foodie Chews Review – AMAZING!! OMG now this was a party in my mouth. Cooked to perfection and the flavor was everything HOWEVER we all agreed that it was extremely salty but still the best out of everything that we had. Seared Scallops and Corn - Corn puree, tomato, shiso Foodie Chews Review – The description might have sounded dull, but it was anything but boring—it was actually the second-best dish of the evening. I experienced flavors ranging from Southern to Indian South Asian cuisine. Belly Tasting - Belly cut tuna, salmon, yellowtail nigiri Foodie Chews Review: The fish belly is succulent and rich, boasting a tender yet delicate texture, with a hint of sweetness. It's incredibly fresh and complemented by delectable toppings, making it highly satisfying. Squash Blossom Crab Rangoon - Snow crab stuffed squash blossom, tempura fried, sweet and sour sauce Foodie Chews Review: Not your local Chinese spot crab Rangoon but a very kicked up not version. Ha! Its exactly what the description described however I don’t recall the sauce being sweet nor sour but different. The dish was different in a good way but nothing mind blowing. I saw the crab however I did not taste the minced crab meat but paired with the sauce it was good. Ceviche - White fish, red onion, jalapeño, cherry tomatoes & cilantro Foodie Chews Review: Did not try however my guest stated that it was very flavorful and quite good. Miso Edamame - Miso-butter, garlic, togarashi Foodie Chews Review: Did not try however I was told that they were delicious. Dragon - Shrimp tempura, cucumber, topped with eel and avocado, spicy eel sauce Foodie Chews Review: I did not try (to basic for me haha) however my guest enjoyed this roll. Fried Short Rib Dumpling - Spicy ponzu (4 dumplings) Foodie Chews Review: Tender meat stuffed dumpling with light flavor. Needed more flavor but paired with the sauce it was good. Overall: Solid B+ (BTW Nice RnB classics) I cant wait to go back and get what I really want such as the Conch and Octopus Salad __________ the Gilliebu (asparagus, scallion, wrapped in snapper, baked with sriracha aioli), __________ Beef Tataki (japanese A5 wagyu, sake-soy, togarashi, sesame, fried garlic) __________ Fried Oysters w/ a Kimchi Tartar Sauce __________ Miso Hungry (tuna, salmon, white fish, asparagus, chive, cucumber wrapped, miso-vinaigrette) __________ Tuna Nachos (Tuna, Scallion, avocado, Nori, spicy mayo, eel sauce, KIMCHI HONEY over wonton chips)

Google
We visited this restaurant twice and would like to highlight the taste and freshness of the Japanese tapas, as well as the impeccable service. On weekdays, it's not very crowded, but on Friday and Saturday evenings, it's better to book a table in advance. We also liked the loft-style design and the young, trendy crowd! The portions are small, but you can order several and try different things! It's quite expensive for such small portions, but it's really worth it!

Google
Just had an incredible meal at MISO Japanese Tapas, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. We started with the spicy miso soup, which had the perfect kick to warm things up. The signature tots were a game-changer—crispy, flavorful, and ridiculously addictive. And the dragon roll? Easily one of the best I’ve had, fresh and packed with flavor. Every dish we tried was amazing, and the attention to detail in both presentation and taste really stood out. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on both quality and experience, MISO is definitely worth checking out!

Google
We had a fantastic dining experience at Miso. The portions are small (but the prices per meal are not high either), so we ordered eight different dishes for the two of us and finished them all. The food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing, and our waitress was friendly and helped enhance our experience by giving us great recommendations.

Always a great dining experience here. Tatum gave impeccable service suggesting an amazing truffle topped roll special they had. We will be back soon!

Google
First time and we were both impressed. The food is excellent and the place works. You can talk without excessive noise level, which I would say was energetic. Turnover is pretty fast and we left full! The menu is huge. As a suggestion I think maybe 3 set menus would work great to showboat a wide range and make ordering easier. And for the gourmet lover maybe a chefs set menu? On the negative side. One of our group is a non drinker. Have some mocktails of alcohol free beers on your list please. Look forward to next time and I think we will take some 0% beer just in case.

Amazing food, great vibe, the owner came over to say hello. Highly recommend! Parking out front or the lot close by.

Yelp
Located on an unassuming side street just south of Sunrise Blvd in Fort Lauderdale, MISO Japanese Tapas is a restaurant that you must try if you're in the area. Warning: the food is not cheap; you will spend at least $50 per person including tip, but it is worth every penny. There is good food, and then there is exceptional food. MISO stands in the exceptional category with some of the best food I have ever experienced. The restaurant does not have any signage outside other than on the door. It's easy to miss it. Once inside, you will notice a clean and modern decor. The menu is one page. It offers sushi, appetizers, meat, and vegetables, all in tapas form, meaning that all plates are small samples. Two to four may satisfy one individual. The service is above average. Our server was attentive and extremely professional. He gave us a tour of the menu when I said that I was unsure of what I wanted to order. The food is something that cannot be described. Everything was great, but the miso sea bass was something spectacular. Sea bass is always good but this will blow your mind. It was the best piece of fish I have ever eaten in my life. Overall, MISO is a must try if you're in the area. Yes it is expensive, but understand that you are paying for the highest quality food and a chance to sample flavor that you have never had or will have again.

Yelp
Had a great time. Went with 2 other friends in a Sat night annd it was packed. Luckily we had reservation. We ordered several things to share. Some of my favs were Jay$$$ roll, ribeye tacos and crunchy rice. Service was grea, the chef came to our table a few times and was super kind. Only drawback is the location. Parking seemed a bit sketchy.

Yelp
Sooooo yummy. My favorite thing was the calico roll and the wagyu steak This place is delicious and the service was amazing. We loved the vibe and the quick service. The food also came out quick and was delicious. They also do a 9 dollar carafe of sake which was so fun.

Yelp
Been meaning to check this place out for a while and so glad I finally did! The inside is nicely decorated, not too loud and nice ambience. Food was delicious. It's tapas style so you will want to order a few things, the salmon tataki was my favorite. I wasn't impressed with the crab wonton dish and probably wouldn't order again but the sushi rolls were delicious. Server was beyond helpful and nice (her name is Tatum). Will definitely return!

Yelp
We loved this cute restaurant close to downtown Fort Lauderdale. Limited free parking out front but if you park in a pay to park spot, they can validate for free parking. The interior is nicely decorated and had a good ambience. We were there at lunchtime and they have a special lunch menu. We were quickly seated by the server, Tatem, who was friendly and helpful. She made a few suggestions and we ordered the hi hello sushi roll, toro crispy rice, and lunch beef donburri bowl. The sushi bar is.open to the dining room and we saw Thuan, preparing our food. Everything was really delicious and the attention to detail made it even better. We asked to add kimchi to the beef bowl and loved it. The thai pepper on the sushi roll along with the crunchy garlic were so good. We will definitely be back to try more of their food. It would be wonderful to come with a group and share more items.

Yelp
The sashimi appetizer was excellent as usual. Freshest there is. The fried oysters were excellent. The soft shell crab BLT was amazing.

Yelp
Loved the mural inside, great lighting and cool vibe. The techno/dance music felt off for this restaurant concept. The tots were excellent, the tuna tartar was ok, spicy tuna roll was unimpressive, the hamachi was outstanding and the pork buns were amazing. Worth going to visit ... I think the hot food is better than the cold.

Yelp
What an incredible Japanese tapas spot in the heart of Fat Village! How have I not been here before? The place has a trendy, modern vibe, and the menu offers diverse options--sushi, meat and seafood tapas, and ramen and noodle dishes. We went with the shareable route, which I highly recommend because let's be real, you can't pick just one thing, and small plates are perfect for sharing. I kicked things off with the premium sake flight, featuring three unique sakes. Loved them all and couldn't choose a favorite. We started with the salmon tataki with truffle, which literally melted in your mouth. Then came the short rib tacos in a wonton-nori shell with pineapple pico and the pork belly with BBQ hoisin sauce. But the standout for me was the hi-hello roll: tempura shrimp, avocado, and asparagus topped with tuna and Thai chilis for a spicy kick. This wasn't your average shrimp tempura roll; it was light, super fresh, and not overly fried. Every dish was a hit, and the overall service and experience was fantastic. Can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

Yelp
MISO happy that I got to try this place! I wanted fresh sushi and was incredibly satisfied by the sashimi appetizer and the toro and salmon nigiri that I got in my takeout order. They were all absolutely incredible. Can't wait to come back and try the other menu items!

Yelp
Highly recommend! How did I not hear of it sooner? Dined late on a Tuesday night, the service was great, happy to seat us and we didn't feel rushed at all. Fabulous atmosphere, clean and great music. Sushi was excellent as well. Menu has all the sushi essentials plus some more fun tapas, can't wait to go back and try more. Thank you!

Yelp
A Japanese tapas restaurant with the whole menu meant to share! I definitely recommend doing everything family style since there's no real order to when the dishes will come out (we got all our rolls before we got our edamame). The salmon tataki was delicious! This was possibly my favorite dish we tried. The scallops were also delicious with a very unique sauce on them. The J$$ roll had a bit too much rice to fish combo so I ended up kind of destructing this to eat. The shiso good was so fresh and light and refreshing I liked this roll more than the J$$ because it was better ratios. Prices were great for quality making it 5 stars.

Yelp
How did I miss this cute little place serving some great Asian food and really fresh sushi ? Well it may be because it is a bit off the beaten path tucked behind the railroad tracks in the Progresso area of Fort Lauderdale, but now that I know that it is here, you can bet I'll be back. Miso was the perfect place for a recent girl's night out. They were very accommodating with separate checks although the best way to enjoy this restaurant is just to order a range of things and for everyone to share them as the food comes up hit or miss tapas style. But we didn't do that as everyone had different rolls and foods that they specifically wanted. So we ate as our food came up and there was plenty of opportunity to order more as the night went on. Our server, Sami, was great! Quick with recommendations of her favorites and helping us with our wine choices. Know before you go that they have beer, wine and saki but no hard liquor. I started with the squash blossom that was stuffed with crab and it was delicious! Lightly battered and fried it was done perfectly. For my entree I had the "hi-hello" roll which was tasty with fried shrimp topped with tuna. Other "wins" from the ohs and ahs at the table were the crispy rice with tuna, the tuna tartar, and the pork belly. They've recently started lunch service as well so there is no reason not to visit Miso. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner as the space isn't huge and by the time we left there were people waiting to get in. Also- if you drive, they validate your parking so don't needlessly pay for that. Definitely a welcome addition to this part of town!

Yelp
Super happy we finally have a good Japanese place nearby. Food was very good - everything single dish we tried. Very cool vibe inside with good music and nice decor. Staff was very nice and helpful with narrowing down what we should order. I definitely recommend this place. We will be back

Yelp
Really good food and ambiance, perfect for a date and the vibe is really chill. Servers are attentive although the food comes out a bit slowly. The japchae was a little too salty but the okonomiyaki bites are amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Food - the good: We ended up enjoying the Miso sea bass so much that we ended up ordering seconds. I recommend getting a side sushi rice to enjoy alongside the sea bass. I would have gone for seconds of the hamachi krudo but the kitchen closed at 10:45. The yuzu-soy-jalapeno combo was heavenly. The miso soup and coco-miso soup were not special in flavor. I'd say the coco-miso had an odd profile which I may just not be familiar with. I had high hopes considering the spot is called "miso". Wait staff: SUPER FRIENDLY. Knowledgeable. I would have rated this experience a four had we received all of the items we ordered. Sadly none of the rolls we ordered made it out.

Yelp
As soon as we walked in, this is the cutest little restaurant. I absolutely love garage doors that are open and then you can just be open with the environment. The staff was super friendly. Our waitress was so nice and very informative. I end up getting the flights and they were so delicious. That way I could figure out which I like the best. My son went with a dragon and I had a light plate of sashimi We enjoyed that miso so much that we actually got three bowls of it Very cute plays love the vibe, and we will definitely be back

Yelp
Being that we only live a few blocks away, we really wanted to love this spot more than we did. We came in for a reservation on Friday evening around 7:15, and were immediately seated. The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing, so we were very excited. When we got greeted by our server, she said "still or sparkling water" and I said "tap is fine" and she almost scoffed at me??? lol it was a bit bizarre. She replied "tap comes out of the sink here...... we have still water through a filter for $1 and it's unlimited refills". Yeah..... well it's water (not bottled) so I'd sure hope I could get a refill. Anywho- she made us feel a bit odd about it, so we just went with the still water to appease her. Took quite some time to get the water (she must have been back there filtering it herself) and finally came over to take our orders. We got a few items to start, which were hit or miss. The nigiri was amazing, and so was the crispy rice! The short rib dumplings were a miss, however. The dumpling itself had no flavor, but the sauce made up for it a bit. Then, we ordered the fried rice. This came out quickly, but was incredibly underwhelming. Service wasn't great here. The waitresses were a bit pushy with everything- seemed like they were really pushing up-charge items, which I do understand because it's a part of selling their menu..... but it was just too much at a certain point. We ended up asking for the check and it took a bit to get. When the check did come, it turns out we got charged for the water ($1 each, since there were two of us drinking it). This just seems very tacky for a venue like this. Nickel & diming your guests. While we might come back at some point, we're not in a rush.

Yelp
This place was so surprising. It's very intimate and cute but different from what I had expected. The service was super attentive and helpful. Probably some of the freshest fish and meat I've had in a long time. We were ordering 2-3 things at a time and every dish was better than the previous one. I'll absolutely be back
google avatar

Yelp
So my wife and I have been to this restaurant twice now in two weeks. And I will say hands-down it is a relief to finally have a sushi/tapa restaurant in Fort Lauderdale like you see on the travel channel and always say I wish I had that place here. First off, I'd like to give my props to Chelsea the server. Her energy, spirit, and shear entertainment Factor is amazing. In a nutshell, we've had the crispy rice with tuna, their sushi appetizer their short rib dumplings, the chicken wings, several different rolls and their pork belly. Both times every dish tasted amazing, was presented beautifully, and totally blew us away. This place is a must visit and definitely make a reservation because it's not a huge restaurant and it does get busy . Can't wait to go back again and enjoy the food, the atmosphere, and of course the service . Sorry, there's only three photos. I was eating so fast I forgot to take some pictures. The food is that good .

Yelp
I couldn't have asked for a better experience at MISO! They had Sade playing throughout the restaurant so I already knew the vibes were going to be good. They provide free parking & the decor was beautiful. Everything seemed well kept & clean. Our server was nice & recommended a lot on the menu. She also explained the different tapas as well since it was our first time. I didn't have any complaints about the food. I highly recommend Uni pasta, Brussels sprouts, Crispy toro, Wagyu, & the Shiso good roll. The sushi roll took a bit to come out but it was a little busy & I believe only one sushi chef at the time so please remember to be patient with the staff especially since they are working on takeout orders too. I do wish the tables weren't so close together but overall it was a great experience. I definitely will be back to try other items on the menu!
google avatar

Harold R.

Yelp
Absolutely great night here.. food was amazing, and the waitresses were on top of their game. We had a party of 6 and got everything to share, including several saké bombs. Great time, owner Thuan was the life of the venue for sure. I can't wait for our next night here

Yelp
An excellent addition to Flagler village! Miso is a Japanese tapas style restaurant that you should 100% try out. Parking: there is decent parking in the area. Don't be alarmed by the price to park though as miso does validate parking for its patrons. Service: We had the pleasure of having Jordan as our server. She was fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable about the food items and have some excellent recommendations. Sit in her section & tip her well . Food: Now onto the best part that will keep me coming back. We tried the scallop crudo, squash blossom crab Rangoon, lobster kombucha bisque (this was a special they had. It was phenomenal! I truly hope they add it to the regular menu bc it was heaven. I went back twice just to get it) everything bagel sushi roll and hi-hello sushi roll, seaweed salad, and pumpkin pie twist desert. This will be one of my go to places in Flagler village.

Yelp
First time coming here and our experience was was great. ....Service, food, and vibe was great. I enjoyed how low-key this spot was which offered a local feel... We ordered the following which was all delicious and flavorful. -beef shortrib tacos -kimchi pork fried rice -ceviche -pork bao bun We paired our meal with Sapporo and plum spritz cocktail which paired very nicely with our meal. Was bummed there was no dessert.... But will definitely have to come back and try some of I'm ever back in the area and stop by here for a meal. And of course our server Mark provided a great and pleasant service... paced our meals well and was on top of filling our water when our glasses was low. Happy dining yall!

Yelp
Sami was so kind and attentive- from the moment we arrived. Excellent service. The food was 10/10, the sushi, bao buns and the quality of the tuna was phenomenal. Prices aren't bad at all either especially for the quality. This is definitely my new favorite sushi spot in Ft. Lauderdale and I can't wait to be back!

Yelp
Food, service, and atmosphere is amazing. Thuan and Jay are top notch. This is by far my favorite sushi spot in Fort Lauderdale. The fish is so fresh, the other food is delicious, and the employees are so knowledgeable. 20/10 would recommend. I probably come here once a week and it never misses.

Yelp
What a wonderful surprise MISO Japanese Tapas was. We were looking for something new to us and different near Downtown Ft. Lauderdale and came across MISO on Yelp so we decided to go. First, they validate your street parking (soon as you walk in there's a terminal for you to enter your license plate number) excellent idea. The place is beautiful and staff were immediately attentive. The place was very busy so be patient or call ahead if you're a big group as this place has a good amount of seating but limited. We ordered drinks and the main chef (not sure if owner) gave us a bowl of their Furikake Chips which were delicious! We ended up sitting at the bar, which was still very nice and we were able to enjoy our meal comfortably. We ordered the shortrib dumplings, crispy rice toro, yakisoba and a dragon roll. Everything was delicious and my only opinion is that would have preferred my yakisoba to come with chicken breast instead of dark meat however, it was still delicious. We do not drink alcohol but I am sure they have great specialty drinks and a nice wine list. The ambiance was very modern, the staff was really topnotch and really enjoyed our visit. We look forward to eating at MISO again and would highly recommend if you're in a mood for some wonderful Japanese Tapas.

Yelp
Our server Tatum was fabulous! Everyone is very friendly. The atmosphere is so nice and a very chill vibe! The bathrooms are also super clean! Perfect date night for sushi. Everything we ate was so yummy! We left so full! We will be coming back! Definitely one of the best sushi spots I've ever had in Fort Lauderdale.

Yelp
I'm so sad to say this was a solid 2.5, I wanted to like this place SOOOO badly. The idea of it is awesome, the ambiance is great, the menu looked fantastic, but the food, the food just did not hit. Miso soup was mid and it wasn't hot, it was luke warm. Spicy tuna was super mid, I was sooo not impressed. The crispy rice toro was also sooooo mid, there are a lot better in the area. I love getting Philly type rolls at sushi places so I was excited to order the everything bagel roll, it had NO flavor, I was so confused. I didn't even finish it. The squash blossom tempura was interesting, it was basically a take on crab Rangoon, idk how to describe it but it had a sweaty flavor that I was not vibing with. The other girls I was with had the bao bun and said it was delish, and someone got the jay $$ roll which was actually really good. I'm really upset bc I really wanted to like this place, but truly it did nothing for me and I won't be going back. I was with a group of 8 and we all were in agreement that we would not go back :( sad bc it had so much potential!

Yelp
PRO PARKING TIP - Don't pay for parking. There is a code provided by the restaurant. Get out the app, use the location number, walk in and ask for the code! What an great addition to the Asian dining scene for Fort Lauderdale! The tapas theme means lots of small dishes which I love. I get to explore the menu this way. Our favorite was the Jay roll - unique and delicious. This roll has snow crab and tuna The bao buns were perfectly done and clearly made in house. Crispy tuna is a classic and this one was perfectly executed. We made a dent in the menu and plan to go back and try the rest! One last thing I was super impressed by the bonito flakes on the tater tots. QUALITY!

Yelp
Had dinner recently at the new Miso Japanese Tapas. I came by myself and sat at the bar. The entire experience was top notch. Excellent service from start to finish, and the owner even came by to check in with me to see how I was enjoying my meal. Same owner who started Phat Boy Sushi years back, but this is a totally different concept. Tapas style, so they were small plates with some of the freshest sushi you'll ever have. The only drawback is that if you go starving as I did, be prepared to spend money because you're going to need at least 4-5 plates to fill up. I started with the coconut miso soup, which was a refreshing alternative to standard miso and very flavorful. Next I tried the short rib dumplings which were fantastic. Then it was on to the fish. First up I got the Hamachi Crudo and the White Fish ceviche. Both were great and had unique flavors you won't find in most typical sushi restaurants. When I finished those I was still a bit hungry so I tried the "Miso Hungry" roll which I've never had anything quite like before. Lastly, I got a dessert which was some sweet potato and ice cream dish with butterscotch. Mouth watering. Total tab was $98 before tip. Yes, not cheap but this place is truly unique and well worth a visit. I see myself trying this entire menu in a short amount of time, especially since I live in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Cozy japanese spot in flagler village area. I loved the sea bass and the dessert. I have to come back and try everything.

Yelp
Very good quality Japanese food - got the ramen and an appetizer, forgot what it was now. Their dessert was amazing and also had a gold origami decoration. Very cool and stylish interior decor. Eater voted it as one of the best places for sushi but didn't try any so maybe next time I will. Service also prompt and attentive. Recommended if you are ever in Ft Lauderdale!

Yelp
5 star food 5 star service 6 star ambience. Incredibly cool new Japanese place in an emerging incredibly cool neighborhood. Food was great and service was perfect. 5 star food: spicy edamame and crispy Brussels sprouts were among the best I've ever had, and I get both almost any place I can. Bao buns were also phenomenally good. Most things are a little bigger than tapas size, despite the name... 5 star service: from the front door to table service to even directions to the men's room, everyone who works here seems to very sweet, helpful and perfectly timed. 6 star ambience: inside and outside this place has amazing ambience. The neighborhood is surprising: across the street you find vacant lots and low rise warehouses, but this block is an Uber cool collection of yoga, sushi, clothing and gym. Inside it's a mellow ambience with hip music and even hipper interior decoration. Even the hallway to the restroom was cool. Pay by phone parking is right out front, and they validate.

Yelp
Server Tatum and Chef Amelia were amazing. We ordered the custom Omakase from Chef Amelia and it was well worth it. We will definitely come back and explore more of the menu. We love the atmosphere inside and the atmosphere outside within this Fort Lauderdale up-and-coming art district.

Yelp
Cute spot. Menu a bit overwhelming. Helpful server to select dishes. Good for sharing but might leave hungry.

Yelp
Everything was so delicious! I got the squash blossom crab Rangoon first. Stuffed with lots of crab, the tempura was light and crunchy and the sweet sauce balanced it wonderfully. Then I had the softshell BLT buns. I was just hungry enough to try one more thing. My waitress recommended the brazed short rib dumplings. And they were absolutely wonderful. Again crunchy, flavorful and well paired with the accompanying sauce. Looking forward to going back again and trying some of the other items.

I'm always hearing wonderful things about Miso so I finally decided to give it a try, and am so happy I did! I'll be coming here often now. I was greeted warmly and was seated immediately! Our server was so kind and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu and helped explain their dishes with great intricacy while guiding us towards a dish that would meet what we were looking for. We got our food pretty quickly and it was all AMAZING! My table ordered a few things off the menu and shared everything everything, which is definitely the best way to order here because everything is SO good, you can't pick just one thing! We got the hi-hello sushi (so many great flavors!), ramen (amazing, the pork melted in your mouth), japchae (absolutely incredible! It was the tables favorite. The short rib in combination with the glass noodles was to die for), and yakisoba (so good!). Overall, my party was beyond happy with their experience. Loved everything about it, from the ambience to the intentionality of our dishes.

Yelp
Tatem was a great waitress! Also the food was great. I step in for lunch to have so Sake (why not in the afternoon) and an eel rice bowl. Friendly staff great food. What more can you ask for from a restaurant.

Yelp
I came to Miso for a girls night. The place is in a warehouse area in Fort Lauderdale and the restaurant itself does have an industrial, warehouse feel to it. We had a reservation, but there wasn't many people at the restaurant so we would've been seated right away, regardless. Our waitress was super friendly, and came immediately with menus and with the daily specials. We opted to order à la cart. I tried one of their wine drinks, which was a mock gin cocktail. I thought it was a bit too sweet and didn't taste right. I guess it would be better just to stick to wine, sake or soft drinks. We ordered oysters, shrimp tempura, fried rice, tuna tartare, lobster tempura and a few other things. We pretty much ordered the appetizers as our entrée, so they were not shared by the whole party . I had the shrimp tempura, and the tuna tartare, which were both great. Of course they are tapas size so they are very small. If you're hungry, this is not the place for you. Ordering three tapas, depending on what they are could around $80 bucks, and you might still be hungry, so keep that in mind. Food presentation is excellent and the service is great. I don't mind tapas, but I like to have my tapas with a cocktail, and their wine-based ones are not up to par. They validate your parking, but parking can be a little bit tricky. For these reasons I cannot give them them full five stars. Cool place to try though.

Yelp
The food is very good. The location is a bit odd -- it is hidden in an area with warehouses. There is street parking available. The service was slow even though the restaurant was not crowded. The Crispy Rice Toro, the Cali-Co Roll, and Uni Pasta were delicious. The Jay $$ Roll was food, but had a little too much rice and did not stay together very well. The Grilled Mushrooms were good, but tiny. I would definitely go back to try other dishes.

Yelp
This redone garage in a traditional manufacturing area of Fort Lauderdale is a trendy sushi bar. The ambiance and the service are well above grade. I went there for a business dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I shared most of my selection with a business client but the surf and turf special was very enjoyable combining four pieces of wagyu and four pieces of toro tuna. Although the price tag of $80 dollars was a tad steep. The Wagyu was delicate melt in your mouth but the toro was not tuna belly at all but a leaner cut that wasn't even otoro. The service was on point and the server who serves as the hostess also was very personable and attentive. Overall I would go back. To those considering this little spot it does fill up quickly and I would recommend reservations. Bring your wallet and your appetite.

Yelp
Unfortunately there was nothing about this place that was worth 2 stars. - Food portions were EXTREMELY small. Even smaller than your traditional tapas style restaurants. - Food took a pretty long while to come out and only came out 1 at a time when we had ordered 4 plates at one time. Seemed very disorganized. - Food tastes was "ehhhhhh" at best. I was very disappointed that such a trendy place that looked like it had potential had food that just literally did not taste good and was overcooked. - Price point for each plate is a joke compared to what their brining you. Unfortunately will not be back.

Yelp
I can not say enough good things about this place! We made a reservation but ended up sitting at the bar by choice! What an experience. The whole staff is full of energetic vibes. The owner Twan wouldn't have it any other way . The hustle they show is amazing. Food is cook or prepared in front of you by master Chefs and supervised by the owner. We started off with a sake flight . 11$ and we got 3 different pours. Each one was good . The real highlight was the sushi. Fresh authentic and packed with some unique flavors . They only have wines sake and beer . The menu is full of items for all taste buds. No matter what you order you WILL NOT be left hungry or disappointed. Parking is right of front on the street . So once you arrive or leave you want have to travel far. I suggest you make a reservation to avoid missing out on this gem. Thanks to all who made this night fun. Special thanks to Twan for opening this place and talking us through our dishes . I feel the love you put into your baby! Live laugh and Arigato

Yelp
Food and atmosphere were amazing ! We got five different rolls and I can gladly say that all were spectacular. Clara and Sami H are so sweet and their service made this experience so smooth. Everything on the menu sounds amazing and these ladies help us decide what would be best for the party. The owner, Twan, came over and introduced himself making sure everything was to our standard... which it was! Definitely recommend crab ragoon squash blossom, cali-hi, and the seabass (better than Nobu ;)) 10/10 sorry no pictures because phone doesn't eat first at Miso !!

Yelp
Got the katsu curry and Miso Hungry roll for lunch, food was amazing. Curry wasn't drowned in sauce but still super flavorful. Server was Tatem, she was professional and attentive. Can't recommend this spot enough.
