"Yes, you’re going to see tables of wannabe influencers with ring lights taking pictures of seductively plated sashimi and a cocktail named after an Ariana Grande song at Mizu Izakaya. But guess what? The sushi, noodles, poke bowls, skewers, ramen, and hot stones (they have a very lengthy menu) are so good, even people who have never thought to edit a photo will leave satisfied. Happy hour is an especially good time to go, when the sake bombs and california rolls cost $5." - allyson reedy

"Though the sushi and ramen are solid, it’s the small plates that really shine at this sultry Japanese spot, from grilled squid and yellowtail collar to karaage and the signature cream pork kimchi. They’re built, of course, for pairing with saké — but for a change of pace, try a cocktail featuring ingredients like dragon fruit, ume, or oolong tea." - Josie Sexton, Eater Staff, Ruth Tobias

"From the chic, artsy decor to the elaborately garnished cocktails flavored with dragon fruit, oolong tea, or umami bitters, this LoHi slice of nightlife has got flashy style to spare. So do its sushi chefs, who might on any given night be serving up two types of uni, wild yellowtail belly, and whole live scallop alongside California rolls topped with baked lobster and Kewpie mayo." - Gigi Sukin, Ruth Tobias

One of the best Happy Hours in town! Plenty of options for all under $10! I got two rolls (Philadelphia & Spicy Tuna), Kobe Beef Buns, Hamachi Jalapeno Sashimi, & a small hot sake for all for under $40! Jose was a fantastic server and I'll definitely be returning to try more on the Happy Hour menu!

Fantastic happy hour! You get some awesome items for $5 each, including Sake bombs, and a California roll. The Chicken Karaage at $7 is also a great deal as they offer a generous portion. The Karaage was dry and overcooked however, so perhaps this was an off day. Nobody likes dry chicken. I really enjoyed the vibes in here, it's very inviting and holds true to feeling like a Japanese Izakaya. Definitely check out their happy hour!

Food came out quickly, drinks came out quickly, good and fast service with amazing quality. Would recommend, came all the way from Centennial/Aurora to try it out and will be coming back!

Ok, so this was not a good experience. Don’t let the cool mist on my plate entice you to come in on their dinner rush. But if you do decide to, beware. Service was non existent. She gave us water, took the sushi menu and came for the check. I get it. The place was slammed. It wasn’t all her fault. Hey management- Where’s the logic in having 1 waitress work the dinner rush on the outside section?? We had no plate, chop sticks, soy sauce. Had to ask for a fork for the salad. My sashimi was mediocre at best. The other person I was with ordered the 16pc chefs choice sashimi. She only got 14 pieces. It’s $64…. I gave a 10% tip for 10% service and missing fish. We won’t be back.

Food was great and service is great! We had edamame, Hamachi nigiri, pork belly bao buns, short ribs, and from the specials dinner menu, the Bass. Everything was SO good. We also had a sushi roll but I can't remember the name. There was a DJ playing upbeat music and our server Omar provided for a wonderful paced meal.

We made a reservation for 6:30 and arrived early. They fit us in which was very nice on a Friday! Apps were decent. Service was good at first, with a steep drop off. Sushi rolls were mid, I noticed inconsistency in cuts of fish and sloppy cuts. Our Waygu short ribs never arrived but we were full enough. Our server didn’t show but another staff member was notified and we were ready for our check. She apologized, and after 10 mins she brought a complimentary cheesecake which was appreciated. Our server came around after we were done, spoons on the plate, with another sparkler and cheesecake! Kinda made it clear the weren’t communicating. Overall, I probably wouldn’t come back and we left a bit disappointed.

What a terrific lunch! It was a pleasure to pop in and sample a few hot apps. The octopus cakes with bonito flakes was wildly good! The chicken and pork gyoza are so crispy and rich. Loved the fried Brussels sprouts with candied pecans. Our server was real friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to return for happier hour!

I didn’t take more pictures of the food because it’s sooo good you immediately start eating and forget about the pictures lol The entire staff there is absolutely amazing! This place is the absolute best if you want to go have a good chill dinner & drinks with friends or family! Highly recommend! They have a live DJ on the weekends too!
