The Best Korean Restaurants in Philly

"Kick off your meal at Mr. Pig’s with appetizers like the kimchi scallion pancake or pan-fried dumplings before diving into a tabletop Korean barbecue experience where meat options like beef cheeks, pork belly, brisket, and more are prepared right before your eyes. Don’t forget to take a photo with its infamous plush pig to chronicle the occasion." - George Banks-Weston

"In this life, Korean BBQ is the only enjoyable group project. So we appreciate any new attempts, including this new shop at 10th and Vine with grill-top tables and bubbling stews. The staff grills the meat for you, which means your friends don’t have a chance to f*ck up your galbi and pork belly." - Candis Mclean, Alison Kessler

They have a couple gluten free options available as long as you let them know. Stay away from the marinated items and you'll be fine. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating for me. They cooked my meal first to avoid cross contamination and then offered me gluten free soy sauce! The staff went above and beyond for me, letting me know what was safe and what wasn't everytime food hit the table. I was so happy and excited to be a part of the fun with my family. Next time I'm in the city, I'll be sure to visit again.

We also went to Mr Pig Korean BBQ for my wife’s birthday, and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant had a beautiful, modern-Korean layout that really set the mood for a special night. We got a table with a great center grill, perfect for the hands-on cooking experience that Korean BBQ is known for. We decided on Bulgogi and Kalbi, both of which were absolutely delicious. The meats were marinated to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. We also tried the tdoekboki with cheese, which added a nice twist to the traditional dish. The panchan, or side dishes, were fantastic as well, with a great variety that complemented our main dishes perfectly. The cold noodle soups were refreshing and added another dimension to the meal. To top off the meal, we had the fish waffle ice cream, which was an awesome treat. It was a fun and tasty dessert that rounded out our dinner beautifully. The only slight oddity was one the staff, who were a bit awkward at points. It seemed like it might have been their first day, so while they were nice, they were also a bit odd in their service. Overall, if you're looking for a great modern-Korean BBQ spot, Mr Pig Korean BBQ is definitely worth a visit. It's perfect for special occasions or just a night out with family and friends. Highly recommend!

Google
Korean bbq cooked right in front of you. Lively atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, and tasty food. The platters are a good variety and worked well for my party of 4. 4 out of 4 drinks: Sake, Coke, Water, Coors Light. Pro tip: Say its your birthday and you get to meet Mr Pig!

Google
Great food and service! The place was very large and clean, pretty loud and had a very remodeled industrial vibe. We got half portions of the thin sliced brisket, pork belly, and marinated rib, and a small soybean paste stew and it was more than enough for the two of us. Price was also really reasonable considering the amount of food. Service was great, with the servers checking in on us. Next time I'd like to try the lunch menu, the bibimbaps at the next table looked good

Google
Great place for Korean BBQ. Best in Philly! Fast and good service. The seafood pancake is delicious. We had beef brisket and sirloin BBQ. It's served by a server. I'm telling all my friends to visit here.

Google
The staff is absolutely lovely and kind, although they do rush the cooking process a bit. The actual location is great and spacious. Went there twice because I thought the first time might be a fluke since it was during the soft opening, but the second dining experience was the same. Seafood pancake was soggy and not crispy. Also got the combo platters both times. The meat is not fresh nor seasoned. Can find better quality meat at hmart so it’s unfortunate the quality here is so low. The steamed egg on the side of the grill is scarce compared to other places that give you an entire bowl. The grills burn very easily and they are not switched out frequently enough, they also don’t grill as well as charcoal grills. Very very overpriced for what it is. If they upgrade the quality of the meat it could be great!

Google
I love that this place comes with so many different Korean side dishes and while it is pretty expensive, it’s super delicious. 10/10 recommend. We got the beef set of meat for two. Yum

Google
We were welcomed with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Space is clean and spacious. Perfect for couples to larger groups (5-10 people). For meats, we ordered the pork belly, marinated galbi, and bulgogi. All were juicy and flavorful. We also ordered kimchi pancake, hot stone bibimbap, and fried dumplings. All were very delicious but I recommend savoring your hunger for the meats! Staff are friendly and very attentive! Will be coming back.

Yelp
This restaurant exceeded all of my expectations. It was one of my best dining experiences of 2025 so far and I will return. The restaurant is new, extremely clean, and well ventilated. Great aesthetic with a very upbeat atmosphere. It was busy, but not crowded and the service was outstanding. A pay for parking lot is super close if you dislike the struggle of looking for parking. There were 5 of us and we ordered the Mr. Pig combo (a mix of pork, beef, and shrimp). The pork stir fry was so delicious with fresh jalapeños. We added an order of bulgogi and I'm so glad we did. It was my favorite of all the meat. Shout out to all the Korean shows I watch that referenced bulgogi for this recommendation. Soju and a melon like smoothie all were great drinks to go with this meal. Dessert is yummy and if you have a celebration a cute pig mascot will come out and dance for you. 20% gratuity is added automatically to all groups 5 or more. The gratuity is well earned as the servers help cook most of the meat for you. It was very little work for us. Go to Mr. Pig for your next special meal. :)

Yelp
Just had lunch here with the family. Ordered the spicy pork and the pork galbi. It's cooked on a big circular pan. On the sides are bean sprouts, corn and cheese and a Korean steamed egg. The meal was excellent. The food was seasoned well and cooked perfectly for us at the table. Service was excellent and very friendly. It's an open, high ceiling area with excellent ventilation. So I left without smelling like the BBQ. Lastly, the pricing for the quality of the food and service is outstanding. If you like pig (and I do), you'll love this place.

Yelp
This has been my boyfriend and I's favorite place to get KBBQ in the area. We've been here a handful of times so far and have always had a great experience. Food is a la carte, cooked for you, you get steamed egg, cheese corn and sides with your food, and the food is delicious!! I really love the soft tofu soup as well. We've had one of the servers, Amy, a few times and she is amazing! Super attentive and friendly. We love this place

Yelp
What amazes me every time I visit a different Korean BBQ are the various approaches to grilling meat. While some tables are used to cook over an open flame, most of the meat is cooked over a transportable griddle which simultaneously cooks additional side dishes like cheesy corn and eggs. The meat consists of some quality cuts and had more options than traditional beef and pork, including chicken, shrimp and even octopus. Everything was tasty, although I do wish the bulgogi has a bit more flavor. However, that being said- the service is very attentive and they make you feel right at home even though you're surrounded by sleek, modern surroundings. It's a great place for groups, families or even a date. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I love Korean bbq. So when I saw that this place has good ratings, we decided to give it a try. It is conveniently located near Chinatown, bus stop, and 676. Spacious, sleek, high industrial ceiling, and clean. Bright light at each table. In the wall near the cashier, there are paintings of of men in traditional Korean clothing. On the other side of the wall there are two televisions. One is showing a music video ok K-pop with no sound. Hip hop music is playing but not too loud. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who directed us to the table. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and engaging. He offered refills for our side dishes a couple of times. He explained that the restaurant has been opened for 9 months. Weekend can be busy. We ordered bulgogi and spicy pork belly to be cooked on the barbecue plate. They also have menu items that are cooked in the kitchen. Our orders come with refillable side dishes served on small plates: fish cakes, kimchi, fermented beans spread, rice, a mini dollop of mashed potato and corn, and cabbage. We also get a bowl of salad to be shared. The barbecue plate is slanted with three sections at the rim for more side dishes: cheese and corn, bean sprouts, and steamed egg made fresh as our waiter poured the liquid egg into the compartment. I've never seen such design. It allows the grease flows down. First, raw onion and beech mushrooms are put on the grill plate then they are mixed with bulgogi. The meat is ready in a short time and not burnt. My favorite side dish is the cheese and corn. As the plate gets hotter, the cheese is melting so you can see cheese pull. So yummy. The exhaust system is well designed. Our clothes don't smell like barbecue at all. It was a fun dining experience for us. There's a sign that says if you bring the receipt from Me. Pig to Hey Yogurt, you can get 20 percent off.

Yelp
Great experience, friendly waiters. Food was on point . FYI this is not AYCE. They cook the food for you as well, so you don't have to worry about tending grill!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a group of 4 on a Sunday morning and it was fairly empty. One of the better places that serves korean BBQ in the area but it is quite pricey! It is a la carte style and not ayce. We orderd the pork and beef combo for 2 , the dukbokki, and cold noodles, and soy bean stew. It was enough to feed all 4 of us for lunch. The serving size of the dukbokki was really small for 18 dollars. Overall, food was good but really pricey! The side dishes were really good and they give you a salad as well.

Yelp
Time to get serious. My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary in Philly and stumbled upon a Korean BBQ joint at the edge of Chinatown in a new building. I had high hopes for this new spot, so I proposed the idea to my husband. We headed there for dinner around 6pm. It was still early for a Saturday dinner, so there were some empty tables, but the restaurant was slowly getting filled up with large group reservations by the time we left. To start off with their ambiance, it was great. The place was playing Kpop music in the background, creating a festive atmosphere. A local Korean BBQ vibe in the table setting was a nice touch. The servers were attentive and on point. They made sure our drinks were always filled and cooked our BBQ to perfection. And let's not forget about the food. The side dishes and meat quality were top-notch, fresh, and well-seasoned. We also had to try bibimbob on top of our meat combo. And it was very satisfying. I'm thrilled we discovered this gem. I hope they can open one in Northern VA. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Walked in on a Wednesday summer night and was quickly seated as there were only a few other filled tables. The restaurant is huge so can't imagine there's ever a super long wait. You sit at a table with 4-5 seats around a grill which is filled with a couple of additional sides separate from the banchan--a super unique feature that I haven't seen in the past and really enjoyed (except that I had to wait for the steamed egg to cook). Also the waitstaff cooks the meat for you and even tells you when the meat is ready to eat! Food honestly hit the spot. Toppokki was great texture and not too spicy. Soybean soup came out perfect temperature and was not too salty as some other places can be. As for the meat, I would say it's about the same as your standard Korean bbq place. We got the mix and match for 2-3 and ordered a half serving of the kalbi and it was plenty for 2 very hungry people in addition to our sides. I deducted a star bc towards the end I'm not sure if the waitstaff wandered off or if they assumed we'd eat it all but the pork belly had stayed in the middle of the grill too long and gotten burnt :( additionally you have to pay extra for white rice which I just don't like on principle even if it's becoming standard for some Asian restaurants. Overall definitely worth trying out if you're craving Korean / korean bbq!

Yelp
This place is CRIMINALLY underrated. The side dishes were delicious (a good sign) and they had a pretty decent menu selection. It isn't all you can eat, so we chose one beef option and a couple pork options. It is pricier, but the pork options were reasonably priced. I really liked the environment, it's spread out and has a lot of space. Every thing was delicious and the cold noodles after were top tier. I would love to take my friends here and I think it's a great spot to drink and hang out. The a la carte menu items were also on the expensive side but I can justify paying for it. Can't wait to go back! Also I think it's family run but staff was very generous and did most of the work for us. Service was very quick and attentive!

Yelp
This place was *so* much fun. It's quite new, with excellent grills and vents. The menu is classic, with lots of meat combinations rather than AYCE. The grill pan comes with corn cheese and steamed egg already, which was a nice touch. I came with a group of 6, and we ordered a ton of food for the table and they did a great job bringing out it gradually and keeping us fed with lots of great meat. I think they were even precooking some of the meat so we didn't crowd the grill? Regardless, they made everything super easy. A note for service - they won't come and check on you, so you do need to wave them down if you need anything like more drinks, rice (for some reason we didn't get any until we remembered halfway through the meal), or the bill. We ended up at about $40pp for food, which felt quite reasonable for the quality and variety that we got. My favorite part of this place as when they started celebrating birthdays, and the staff came out in a pig mascot hat and sang a Korean version of happy birthday. It was so much fun!

Yelp
The service was truly outstanding!! Every single server was so so kind and fun, and they kept refilling our side dishes! You sit in round tables of 4-5, with a grill in the middle. The server grills for you, so you can truly enjoy your meal. We ordered the 2 person combo with both pork and beef. The servers helped us cook everything, and I loved the free ring of bean sprouts, egg, and corn cheese! Cold noodles were so refreshing and loved the cold salty broth it came with. Was yummy even without it! A bit overpriced, but still yummy regardless.

Yelp
Great place for kbbq in the city. The service is great, and staff is super friendly. I happened to go twice within a week, and our server remembered that I liked ssamjang and brought it out without me asking, and I thought that was extremely nice. The meats are cooked very well, and there are ample side dishes. I especially love the egg, corn cheese, and bean sprouts that are cooked on the edges of the grill. It is pricey, but portion sizes are decent.

Yelp
The first Korean BBQ I have eaten at in Philly! I thought it was comparable to Korean BBQ restaurants I have been to in NY. The restaurant is a block north of Chinatown with a lot of available street parking nearby. Atmosphere: We were seated right away, likely because the restaurant was still new when I went. The service was great - our server was very attentive with preparing our food and clearing our plates throughout. Food: I really enjoyed all the meat we ordered, and it paired very well with soju! The sides were also very tasty (I ate a lot of grilled vegetables). Overall: 5/5 - I would like to go back, especially because this is one of the only Korean BBQ places in the city!

Yelp
Located on the outskirts of Chinatown, on the first floor of the Crane apartment building. Street parking was available, which made it convenient for our group of seven who arrived late on a Sunday night. We were promptly seated, and the service was quick and efficient. The quality of the meat was good, though I was a bit disappointed with the banchan selection. It included the usual suspects like kimchi, pickled radish, fish cake, salad, and potato salad, but I was hoping for a more diverse spread to complement the meal. On the positive side, the restaurant does cook the meat for you, which adds a level of convenience. We ordered two BBQ combos, which came with steamed egg, cheese corn, and bean sprouts. We also tried the kimchi seafood pancake, but I found it lacked crispiness. Overall, while it was an okay experience and I'm glad we tried it, I'm not sure I'd return.
google avatar

Trish I.

Yelp
My friends, and I really enjoyed the spot. Unlike most Korean BBQ places, they cook the food for you so you can just sit back and enjoy. The quality of the meat was excellent, and everything was cooked to perfection. It's also a great place for a group. We had four people and split a combo which was the perfect amount of food. Definitely a solid choice for Korean BBQ lovers!

Yelp
I dined in when they first opened, and everything was pretty good. However, recently, I ordered a tofu stew for takeout, and not only was the portion literally the smallest I've ever seen in Chinatown, but they also forgot the rice. I was extremely disappointed at what I got for the price I paid, and forgetting the rice was just the cherry on top.

Yelp
We did place an unorthodox order of 5 items that don't make sense together among Korean people. 1 order of LA galbi, kimchi fried rice, what they call 'cold noodles' (better known as mul neng myun), kim chi stew (jige), and my daughter wanted galbi tang. So a notably wierd order. That said they brought very limited banchan, and 4 of 5 main dishes had pretty big flaws. The galbi was fine, but galbi is just so good, it's hard to screw up. Did not meet West Coast standards but again, the galbi was fine. The kimchi bokum bap (kim chi fried rice) had no kim chi in it! It was completely bland, and inedible. I tried, but couldn't make myself eat it. Why was there so much CORN in the kim chi bokumbap??? The mul neng myun was terrible. The noodles were overcooked and sat in a big clump. The meat broth was close to off. I tried a bite, then after forcing a second bite, just pushed it away from me. Even the galbi tang was meh, how can you mess up broth? You just boil meat and bones! The ambiance and was cheery and fun, but the food aside from bbq was just plain bad. If you're doing Korean BBQ, might be worth trying especially if you prioritize atmosphere rather then food.

Yelp
Service: 4/5 -- Offered bonchon refills, but got my order wrong Food: 3/5 -- only ordered two dishes, would try bbq next time Arrived for lunch but they no longer have a lunch menu. I ordered the Seafood Tofu Soup and my boyfriend ordered the bulgogi dolsot/hot stone bibimbap. After placing the order, the waitress repeated my order and I confirmed the two dishes again. When the soup came out, it was just tofu, onions, zucchini and an egg. I was surprised to see a seafood soup without any seafood, but the flavor was good. I was at fault for not saying anything and kept eating. When the check came around, I realized they messed up my order and it was a vegetable soodubu. I wish I spoke up, because the soodubu was very boring without any meat or seafood. The dolsot was just okay, not my favorite, but not the worst. The sauce didn't do it for me, felt like it was missing something. I would try again to give this place a fair chance.

Yelp
Enjoyed a group dinner at Mr. Pig for Korean BBQ. Loved the friendly service--and that they cooked/cut the meat for us--, the open-and-airy feel of the space, and that the vent hoods kept the cooking smoke out of the air. While the banchan was not our favorite--the kimchi needed more curing time--the appetizers (kimchi seafood pancake, pan-fried dumpling, and cheese duk bokki) were piping hot and tasty, loved the cheesy corn grill-side, the meat was all good quality, and the kimchi soondubu had fantastic flavor. One note, it would have been nice to have some salt element available on the table to pump up the two dipping sauces provided to each diner--the galbi needed it.
google avatar

Yelp
Mr Pig is a new Korean restaurant that just opened up in the Chinatown area. I've been twice already haha and I've been very pleased with my experiences both times. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and spacious, so that was a plus. For my first visit, my friends and I opted to get Korean BBQ -- the were offering a discount on their sliced pork belly for their soft opening. For grilling, your server will take care of it all and grill your meat / cut it as needed. I liked the quality of the meat and the variety of side dishes. I felt very well taken care of during my time. For my second visit, we went for lunch time where they have a lunch special deal on 2 of their soups. I got the soft tofu soup; it was very flavorful and I think the portion size was great for the price. Similar to my first time, the staff were very pleasant and frequently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered the three servings of Kalbi and kalbi tang . Also side order of lettuce and daeng jang soup. It was odd they cooked the meat else where and brought it to the grill as if they were trying to eliminate the cleaning of more pans. Anyways the meat was cold and heavily seasoned in MSG. The kalbi tang had meat that was left over from the grill and tough The servers weren't attentive and didn't offer more water or napkins. Thank goodness I carry my own! We are foodies and this is a hard pass! It's so disappointing

Yelp
This place is new and we saw it on IG, so decided to go here for my friend's birthday. We picked combo bbq for 3 people. A good amount of meats and side dishes that came with it. Everything is tasty. Services are excellent and very attentive. They cooked everything for you. All you do is eat and enjoy the food. We went during their soft grand opening and we got 20% off discount, which is a plus. The interior is pretty spacious compared to any other Korean bbq restaurants I've been to. Nice and clean. Overall great experience here. Mr. Pig is a great addition to the Korean bbq restaurants in South Philly. Definitely recommend checking it out!
google avatar

Miles A.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised at many aspects of their soft opening: beautiful interior space with all seemingly brand new setups. It has an industrial vibe, yet remains nice and warm from all the cooking bbq. Staff were pleasant and helpful. All ingredients and dishes brought out were great quality. Banchan sides had egg, kimchi, pickled radish, kelp, cheese corn, chicken stir fry. Meat was very tender we cooked ourselves mostly, with some help. The soft opening discount made this a great deal and worth trying, definitely would like to come back with friends again. Thanks Only issue/improvement was that the menu is not clear exactly what comes with meal such as sides, sauces, or extra dishes. Could be helpful to describe if menu ever gets edited what the options are beyond just the meats.

Yelp
Ugh I can't wait to come back here again and again! The place is huge and really well ventilated so you don't leave smelling like BBQ. We did the 4 person combo at ~$130 (total, not per person). It was the perfect amount of food. The meat tasted delicious and we didn't feel stuffed at the end, but we're definitely satiated! Isaac, the manager, is awesome. Service was top tier. Super excited about this place
google avatar

Yelp
Would've been a 5 star rating, but I was confused with little direction...probably more of an operator error on my part...But once the flow started, it was fantastic. Great food and service, once I looked full on lost...ambiance wasn't bad, space was clean and serviceable...Good place to eat!

Yelp
Came here again for a friend's birthday tonight and had a much better dining experience! This place really turned things around after the soft opening. And also, having a great server makes a huge difference. Our server was very attentive and everything was cooked perfectly. The sliced beef brisket was actually thinly sliced this time and not tough or chewy! The marinated kalbi was as good as I remembered (although their marinade is on the sweeter side). The pork belly was cooked perfectly and didn't taste like jerky like before. I also really enjoyed the beef tongue (very thinly sliced but I prefer it that way). Oddly, the seafood pancake wasn't as good this time around because it was too doughy compared to the soft opening. Overall, a good experience. I'm definitely coming back here when I need to get my kbbq fix.

Yelp
Good food! Friendly staff! Our go-to k-bbq in Philadelphia! It's not crowded. Bbq is delicious and Love their side salad

Yelp
Fantastic food, fantastic staff, fantastic experience. It was my friend's birthday and they wore a pig head and danced and handed me a tambourine, it was so wholesome!!

Yelp
Got the steamed egg from here and it was soooo watery and gross and I told the server and she said that's how we make it everyday. She was not receptive to constructive criticism and let's just say everything else was blah here and I will not be returning. Kimchi fried rice tasted like bagged frozen food so were the dumplings.
google avatar

Narry V.

Yelp
This place is freakin amazing. So far, it tops any other Kbbq/korean restaurant I've been to in the city. First time here and we got the beef combo (3 ppl), beef intestines, Steamed & Fried dumplings and finished it all. The food was cooked in front of us by a designated staff. The beef combo comes with steamed egg and corn cheese (as shown in photo) that is on the side of the grilling pan. For their side sauce it was a light fish sauce and gochujang (I believe?), I enjoyed the fish sauce better. They also had this fermented sauce, freakin amazing with the ribeye pieces, just be prepared for some crunch from the ingredients they used. The spacious ambiance was filled with kpop music, not too hot/cold. The restrooms are clean and spacious & staff's services were impeccable. Big parking lot to the left of the building, so it was pretty easy to get in and out within 2 hours or le

Yelp
I came here a month ago during the soft opening on a weekday around 5pm. Street parking isn't fun to find but the interior made all the parking headache go away. I do love the 'ventilation above every table' look and the korean portraits/paintings on the walls which gives me korean bbq places in nyc vibes or the korean places in asia vibes. The staff is very attentive to details but it does get busy and they will help you if you flag them down. The menu is short and straight forward. For just the two of us, we ordered "half" dishes of pork belly, marinated pork ribs, thin sliced brisket and marinated bulgogi. Total came out to $63 before tip and tax. Onto the food, the banchon were five dishes of salad, cabbage, fish cake, kimchi and potato salad. This amount was limited compared to my previous korean experiences but given they are new, maybe they were experimenting. The salad and cabbage was a bit odd. The kimchi was ok; my favorite was the fish cake and potato salad. You can opt for the staff to cook for you or do it yourself. I do love the grill which consist of the meats with assorted veggies in the middle and pocket compartments for the complimentary steamed egg and cheese corn. Can't wait to come here again next week.

Noelle S.

Yelp
Very mid kbbq. Our server didn't have any knowledge about the Korean items I asked for. Didn't know what cold noodles were nor any of the stews. I'm actually quite shocked that a kbbq spot doesn't offer soup with the combo meals. For that price, I expected better side dishes. I had to ask for different sauce that should've already been ay the table when we ordered pork. Def not authentic, more catered to foreigners & tourist. My egg soufflé was grey due to the cast iron residue coming off of it. Nice owner tho
google avatar

Sara G.

Yelp
Decent option given the location, but a bit sterile and lacking the real charcoal flavor that KBBQ is known for. If you're unwilling to drive 20 min for better, this is fine.

Yelp
I heard about a new Korean BBQ spot opening and had to check it out as I absolutely love Korean BBQ and just got back from Seoul recently so I wanted to compare. Went to Mr. Pig during the soft opening stage. Service was fantastic and the food was great. I came here with 3 other people. We ordered two full orders of Kalbi, full order of the beef bulgogi, a half order of the pork belly, and a half order of the thin sliced beef brisket. All of this was the perfect amount for 4 with decent appetites. As expected, the kalbi and the bulgogi were by far the most flavorful. A bowl of rice comes with the meal but you can get a refill if you need more. The service was great, I don't know what exactly the other reviews are referring to.. seems like they may have never been to an authentic Korean restaurant before. Politely calling over a server is not uncommon in Korean dining where the servers are also cooking the meat for other tables, etc. This location is also very aesthetically pleasing and very clean. You can easily walk here from Jefferson Station/11th street. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Korean BBQ.

Yelp
Mr Pig is a set menu/a-la-carte K-BBQ restaurant newly opened in the Callowhill area! Although it's not all-you-can-eat, the BBQ combos' portion sizes are extremely generous and you are more than satisfied with the variety that is provided. Pricing is reasonable given the portions. The meats are decently marinated and flavorful. The only downside I encountered was that the banchan was limited and they charge $2.50 for lettuce or rice which is normally provided to complement any KBBQ cuisine. The grill at the table is highly efficient with a glazed center for the meats and compartments for corn cheese and steamed egg provided. There's a vent conveniently above the grill for ventilation too. The service is fast to bring everything out and help cook most of the meats. The restaurant ambience is bright, modern, and upbeat. Upon 7 PM on a Thursday night, the restaurant was completely packed so it can get loud.

Yelp
This is a fun and interesting experience. For the most part the food is very good. They have limited choices on drinks. The service was not great the staff is very nice but they were either handling too many tables or not organized. My biggest complaint is the napkins and serving plates.. This is a very messy experience and to have one paper napkin and the extra napkins are like 1 ply tissues that fall apart is just poor planning. The plates need to be larger for each guest. This is fun to do one time

Yelp
Heard there was a new Korean bbq spot opened up in Chinatown so we had to go and try. They are offering 20% discount for their soft opening so don't miss out on this opportunity to go and try this spot! Walking in, the vibes of the restaurant is nice. Decorations around the walls, modern look with two TVs on one side of the room. We ordered the combo for 3 Korean bbq and everything was delicious and fresh. Meats were all so flavorful. They also bring out sides for you like kimchi, bean sprouts etc. and also on the cooking pan on the side, they give you egg, cheese corn (delicious) and also spicy bean sprouts. The servers actually cook everything for you, all you have to do is just pick it off the pan. Great service, they were all so helpful and attentive. I would come back another time.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner before a concert at Union Transfer. Service was very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and came out quickly. We got the mix & match BBQ that came with pork belly, chicken thighs, bulgogi, and spicy pork belly along with many sides to sample. Everything was delicious! Good music and vibes inside.

Yelp
This is by far the weirdest kbbq experience I've had. We ordered 4 types of meat, cold noodles, and kimchi pancake for 4 people. After the waitress cooked the first meat (sliced pork belly), she proceeded to cook the ribeye and marinated galbi, but AT ANOTHER table! I don't understand why she couldn't just wait a few minutes for us to eat the pork belly. Keep in mind, the restaurant was empty! The ribeye was so dry and overcooked because she then transferred the meat from the other grill back onto our grill and cooked it further. The marinated bulgogi might as well have been steamed because she piled all the meat on the hot plate while it was still on low heat and kept turning the meat before it could even get any color. As you can see in the picture, all the meat on the far side are gray. The egg on the side was burned (see picture). Another woman came over and offered to give us a new bowl of egg, which was very nice. Overall, I think the food would have tasted so much better if the staff actually understood the basics of cooking. It's such a waste of, what I assume, are good quality meats.

Yelp
excellent Korean BBQ. Ive gone to many including in Korea and this stands up well. Meat was generally lean and portion were generous. The beef sampler for two was more than enough. Loved it

Yelp
This is a 3.5 but I'm rounding down because I'm really struggling with the price. Sure everything was fine (not extraordinary), but I found it quite more expensive than other Korean bbq places in the area which would be $20-30 cheaper (pre tax/tip). Or you could go to Top Pot and it'd be like half the price. The combo for 2 was $96 dollars before tax/tip. Which means it was a better deal than doing the a la carte! Also this place cooks the meat for you which you either enjoy or you don't. (I was indifferent)

Yelp
Crazy good. More than just bbq. 5 if us got the grill combo for 4. Had a lot to take home. Grill, 2 bibinbap & 2 rounds of Graoe Soju shots. Grand total $250 (tip included b/c party of 5). Staff is great. Food is great.

Yelp
Probably the best KBBQ I've had in Philly. Coming from Southern California, there is no shortage of amazing kbbq spots and when I first moved to Philly I found the Korean food scene to be...lacking. It's a really good sign when the majority of patrons at a kbbq joint are Asian. Similar in concept to Baek Jeong where the servers cook for you and the layout of the grill includes corn cheese and egg, this restaurant made me pleasantly surprised. I found the portions to be very generous when we ordered the beef set for 4 adults and we actually had trouble finishing all the meat since our sides (banchan) were refilled upon request. I give it an LA 4, but a Philly 5 in terms of quality and service. Since they are brand new the space is very clean and organized.

Yelp
When they told me it was not all you can eat, I balked a bit. When they said they actually prepare it for you, I had another bit of hesitation. Wow was I incorrect on my thinking. This place is a gem and cannot recommend it enough. It was great having them cook for you as it allows you to focus on eating and conversation. The chef also was engaging and asked how we wanted the food prepared. The meats were delectable. There was a salad that I could have eaten all night, and loved Kim Chee. I am a big fan of cucumbers, so that is an absolute treat. It was different as the grill had sides where they had egg, mung sprouts and was a very different and delicious twist. What really made it stand out is the sauces. There of course is the standard bulgogi, but they had a sesame oil and their home made sauce that was simply the best. It was so good I actually bought a small size. In retrospect, I should have bought the large one. Best sauces I have ever had. This place is a must from my book and am hopeful my travels take me to Philly to visit Mr Pig again.

Yelp
Me and my friend came on Monday so it wasn't too busy, I love the ambiance inside, very clean and spacious. Their service was great as well, love how they grilled the meat for you. Sauces that came with are nice, just wish they have more versatile banchan. Their meats are good quality as well as their soup. Will definitely come back again to try different cut and side dishes.

Yelp
Food was great, but the service wasn't. I was barely spoken to and noticed other tables were getting better treatment. Perhaps it was cause I was alone or they prefer other ethnicities. Great bbq spot though and fixed my cravings.
