"Newly added to the Bib Gourmand list and named one of Eater’s Best New Restaurants in America in 2025." - Jeffy Mai
"The newest spot from Chef Sujan Sarkar—the same chef behind lauded Indienne—focuses on contemporary, regional Indian cuisine and greets you with a warm welcome; with dishes designed for sharing, the mood is always upbeat. Order with abandon for the table, choosing between vegetarian and non-vegetarian plates. There’s plenty to sample, including meen gassi, or walleye in a rich and spicy coconut and tamarind curry infused with dried chilies, turmeric, and curry leaves. Vegetable moilee with a light and fragrant coconut curry and a variety of seasonal vegetables is best when accompanied by ghee bhat or naan. Desserts like their apricot delight are the perfect ending. Reservations are suggested but the full-service bar is always available for walk-ins." - The MICHELIN Guide
"Nadu crams over ten distinct regions in India into one room with two giant glass chandeliers. This Lincoln Park spot focuses on dishes from specific areas, like crab milagu fry from Kerala or goat curry from Odisha. And it's from the team behind tasting menu spot Indienne, but it's more casual while still being nice enough to celebrate a birthday. Make sure your party includes the crab stir-fry. On our first visit, each bite of their Dungeness crab blanketed in a garlicky sauce of shallots and tomatoes kept enticing us to rabidly tear into the shelled legs and claws like rubber-gloved Terminators. But this spot has plenty of other noteworthy dishes, like Goan prawns that are punched with so much cinnamon they’re basically the cousins of a Hot Tamale." - adrian kane, john ringor, nick allen, adrian kane, nick allen, nick allen, john ringor, john ringor, nick allen, john ringor, nick allen, nick allen, nick allen, john ringor, john ringor, john ringor, john ringor, john ringor, adrian kane, john ringor, john ringor, john ringor, john ringor, john ringor, john ringor, john ringor
"Group dining is the best way to try a variety of the regionally specific Indian food at this Lincoln Park spot. And while birthday cakes are nice, we’d rather blow out candles sitting on top of Nadu’s Keralite crab stir fry. The crustacean pile covered in a garlicky mix of tomatoes and onions should be a centerpiece at every table. The Goan spicy prawns and Odia goat curry are also delicious, and their apricot delight is a great choice for anyone who thinks no birthday is complete without cake." - adrian kane, veda kilaru, nick allen, john ringor
"With a menu that covers over ten distinct regions of India, this Lincoln Park spot from the Indienne team has a wide range of dishes to get excited about. Goat curry with puffed rice from Odisha, cinnamony prawns from Goa, paneer dip from Surat—they're all fantastic. And if you don’t mind a little extra work and getting messy, grab some friends and dig through Nadu’s crab milagu stir fry: a tasty pile of crustacean covered in garlicky mix of onions and tomatoes." - sam faye, adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
