"This brightly painted, flower-festooned former pub looks very much at home in its smart Chelsea location, and the indulgent theme carries on inside with plush dining spaces set over two floors. The menu offers hearty, modern British dishes, with fish and meats cooked over the grill a speciality. In true neighbourhood style, they also offer relaxed Saturday brunches and traditional Sunday lunches." - Michelin Inspector

Restaurants Serving Afternoon Tea

"This contemporary Chelsea spot offsets its kitchen’s rustic open-grill concept with a calming, plush setting for afternoon tea. This restored pub feels worlds away from its SW3 buzzy postcode on account of a stately home-style drawing room, filled with leather-bound books, chandeliers and homely scatter cushions. Open sandwiches, scones, and mini versions of classic desserts make up their elegant tea stand." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

SUNDAY ROAST

So, we went for Sunday lunch the other day at No 50 Cheyne. The food was seriously yummy, the place itself was gorgeous, and the people working there were mostly nice. But, and it's a big but, the wait times were just awful. We got there maybe five or ten minutes early, but still had to hang around for like twenty minutes before our table was even ready. After we finally seated by staff, it took another 20minutes for our drinks to show up. I get that Sundays can be crazy busy, you know? But, we waited, get this, 50 to 60minutes for our food to come after we ordered! That meant we didn't eat until about an 1hrs and a half after we were supposed to. It was especially tough with a 5year old child with us. The only reason they gave us was that the steak needed to be cooked, which is the most hilarious excuse I’ve had for a long wait for a meal, and I didn't really buy that, to be honest. Basically, we liked the food and the vibe, it’s a bit pricey for a Sunday roast, but the long waits made us feel a little… unappreciated, I guess. It's a real pity, because it could have been a fantastic experience.

Staff were really pleasant and very professional they made us feel welcomed. The beef wellington was great. As well as the lobster. The deserts were delicious to. The decor was beautiful and the washing facilities were very clean of a very good standard. The only thing we didn't really like was the prawns but they weren't too bad but probably won't get them again. But I really would go back again even just for the wellington.

Me and my Girlfriend has a Sunday dinner there. The food was amazing the service wonderful. I had the lamb and it melted in my mouth, she had the roast beef. We both had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. A couple nearby had a shared beef wellington that looked amazing. We will be back in the future to try it.

Well I would’ve liked to have gone for their Sunday lunch but timings as they were I took the opportunity to dine on Saturday night. The service was excellent and the waiting staff very discreet. Next time I’ll try and get there for the Sunday Roast.

Great Sunday roast! Loved the Cumbrian chicken, the bread/butter, the truffled mashed potatoes and the most delicious sticky toffee pudding. It was one of the best I’ve had in London ❤️ thank you for a wonderful meal!

We were in London for 8 days. We had dinner at your restaurant the last night. It was by far the best dining experience we had. The Beef Wellington was cooked perfectly! Everyone was so nice. To the gentleman that we spoke with who had been to Alabama (sorry, we can't remember your name), you were very welcoming and nice to speak with. Thank you for allowing us to take a menu to commemorate our perfect dining experience! Sincerely, Jason and Mary Jo Montgomery.

After seeing on instagram thought why not.. Very happy that I did. Enjoyed the Saturday sharing roast which had the chicken, lamb and beef.. Accompanied by what could be the best roast potato I have ever had. What an amazing place and the service of the waiters upstairs matched. Would be back in a flash

Dinner at Fifty Cheyne was something special. The food was absolutely exceptional – beautifully presented, rich in flavour, and made with real care – but what truly set the experience apart was the outstanding service. Every member of staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our time there memorable. It wasn’t just a meal, it was a moment – and it turned a great day into an unforgettable one for our family.

Yelp
Very adult. Very English. An amazingly beautiful dining room that is just a tiny bit quirky. Ate Sunday roast. Traditional roast beef with all the sides and trimmings. It is a LOT of food. So delicious and decadent that I had no appetite for dessert. In this town of expensive hotels and meals the dining here while not cheap is a good value for the quality. Service is formal yet friendly. Highly recommended for a special evening.

Yelp
Cannot believe I have the first yelp review for this place! Maybe it just hasn't hit the radar for Americans in the UK? Well, it is certainly a well known place in London. With that said, if you are in Chelsea and using yelp to find a spot, I hope this helps. Three of us celebrated Thanksgiving 2019 there last night and it was fabulous. The welcome was warm, the service great, the atmosphere a combination of elegant and comfortable. And the food was excellent. Starters of salmon tartare and beef carpaccio, followed by mains of risotto, a rib eye and the Christmas turkey special. Finally, rice pudding and crime brûlée. And a special shout out to Dan and Lizzie, the wonderful local couple celebrating her birthday next to us. Thanks for sharing your wine!
