The Best Late-Night Phoenix Eats | Eater Phoenix

"The Sonoran-style hot dog is an iconic Arizona dish, consisting of a Mesquite-smoked and bacon-wrapped hot dog, tucked in a bolillo-style bun and topped with beans, mayonnaise, chopped tomatoes, guacamole, salsa, and cheese. A small stand tucked away on the southwest corner of 20th Street and Indian School called Nogales Hot Dogs No.2 is offering some of the best Sonoran dogs in the valley. Owner Pablo Perez has been in the Sonoran hot dog biz for over a decade and knows exactly what he is doing. Nogales Hot Dogs No.2 is open until midnight Sunday to Thursday and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday." - McConnell Quinn

Super sweet ladies, working out of a food tent but food was generous with lots of condiments and add ons!!we liked it but the bacon wrapped dog didn't knock our socks off no matter how many different ones we tried.

Didn’t know what a Sonoran hotdog was but had to try since it was walking distance for me. Great bite to eat. Love all the toppings. Yummy. 😋

11/6/24 one Sonoran hotdog for the first time, absolute fabulous! Fast and friendly service. Very courteous. They have a freestanding salsa bar. Six dollars a hotdog not a bad deal.

I really had no idea what to expect, but this place was great. I found out about this place and decided to try it out (because I’m always looking for local specialties) before flying home on a late flight last night. It’s a pop up hot dog cart, and apparently I didn’t pay attention to what time it opened (it opens at 7:30 pm). Thankfully I actually followed the truck/trailer off of the freeway or I never would have found it. They quickly set everything up in a parking lot complete with the cart, a big canopy, table and chairs, etc. I walked up after about 10 minutes and the guy asked me how many I wanted. I had no idea how much was enough, but he said I definitely needed two of them ($5 each). I had no idea what to expect but wow! It was good and a lot of food! The bacon wrapped dog on a extra large bun came with Mayo, tomatoes, beans and onions. They also give you a bunch of extras to add if you want. I added cojita cheese, shredded cheese, avocado sauce and green salsa. It was so good. You gotta check this place out!

Authentic Sonora hotdogs they even have the original Buns which are slight bit sweet flavor. You can choose a plain order and it all comes with lots of sauces and dips

I'm new to the area and new to Sonoran hot dogs, but Nogales came highly recommended so I had to try them out. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was surprised at how delicious they are. Since then, I've tried other places, but none of them compare to Nogales. The hot dog and bacon are comparable to other places, but what makes Nogales stand apart is the bread, the freshness of the toppings, and the variety of the toppings. Some might say that a toasted bun is not traditional, but I think it's delicious and that's all that matters. Whenever I'm in the area, I'm going to make sure I swing by to pick up the best Sonoran hot dog in the valley.

I have been coming to this establishment for 10 years. I have not been disappointed once. Their sonoran hot dogs are always on point and unique from any other hot dog stand. Prices are reasonable. This is my to-go hot dog place in town. I highly recommend.
