"A contemporary bistro in the centre of the city, just a few steps from the busy Syntagma Square. The chef at the helm here (his father is Greek, his mother Japanese), creates contemporary Greek-focused cooking with plenty of Asian influences, and enticing dishes that are fresh, colourful and perfect for sharing. Next door is a separate space called “Sweet Nolan”, a pastry shop that complements the Nolan brand’s other ventures. In the summer months, the restaurant moves to Mykonos, with the whole team, and stays there from July to mid-September." - Michelin Inspector

"This tiny fusion restaurant not far from Syntagma Square has made a name for itself among the city’s food lovers. Chef Sotiris Kontizas combines his own Greek and Japanese roots to create comfort food without geographic limitations, like gyoza with beef cheeks, bean noodles with octopus and Kalamata olives, and ceviche fricassee with guelly jack. "Nolan is a Japanese-Greek fusion restaurant where the menu changes daily, offering dishes like donburi with minced lamb and vegetable sides soaked in a light beef broth."

"While you might think that your last night in Athens warrants a traditional Greek feast, we suggest to booking a table at Nolan instead. Known for its Greek-Asian fusion menu, the restaurant has been buzzed about since it opened in 2016. (Order the soba noodles with smoked salmon and tahini sauce and thank us later.) Somewhat surprisingly, the atmosphere is also relatively unpretentious."

The construction of the menu itself suggests ordering many dishes to share. Very good use of all ingredients, combining Greek (Mediterranean) with asian style cuisine. Will definitely visit again.

This place is recognized as Michelin Bib Gourmand and deservedly so. The food was fantastic. Sharing plates. Service was excellent. We have some allergies and the server was super attentive and helpful in guiding us to dishes that avoided any possibility of allergic reaction. Get a reservation and book early as this place is busy. Small menu but good variety. Get help from your server as most will not be familiar with dishes. Greek-Asian fusion with a tendancy to Japanese flavours. Loved it. Very highly recommend!

I only had two dishes but they were both excellent. The mixed beans was the waiter’s recommendation and was a great mix of pickled onion, pear and vinaigrette beans. The lamb donburi had a superb tzatziki and was a great blend of flavours. Sat at the bar and had great service. Only negative was the hilariously excessive hard house Dutch warehouse electronic music that is totally not in fitting with the place.

Unbelievable lunch. Incredibly affordable, top teir service, and absolutely outstanding food. Michelin's Bib Gourmand review speaks for itself, the place is amazing. Make sure to try a lot of items!

Very tasty experience at Nolan! Love the Japanese / Greek mix. However, the Asian cuisine tastes are definitely dominant. I discovered some nice and refreshing combinations. It's a bit on the expensive side, especially for Greece. The place itself looks nice, and the location is nothing special. Service was correct.

Loved this place! Excellent service. Quite small but amazing portions-two people would need 6-7 dishes. Had the Manouri salad, shrimp, smoked pancetta, and dry aged sirloin-all highly recomnended, as well as the chocolate guanaja.

Fusion Greek Asian restaurant. I was at lunch time on Monday. All the fish dishes were not available ( 5 out of 17)because it was Monday after the weekend- no trash fish. I ordered 3 dishes : Zucchini with Miso and smoked eggplants- was very good Steamed buns with pork cheeks -were dry and not the same level as the other dishes NFC- Nolan fried chicken with creamy mashed potatoes - very good I was seating outside ( they didn’t have place inside even it was empty when I arrived and was still very empty when I left.

Today I think I had one of the best meals of my life, everything was amazing, the food was so beautiful and each dish we had was a delight but also quite different from the last. Our server, Alexandros, was amazing! He made an excellent wine recommendation and we bought a whole bottle of rose because of it, he also recommended the fish burger which was one of our favourite dishes. A must stop to anyone visiting Athens, will definitely be coming here again.
