In all my visits to the UK, I haven’t tried out Fish & Chips, & I pick Seattle to have my first bite after hearing rave reviews on this place called Nosh.
Well I have had my share of Fish and Chips back home in India, which is primarily made with Basa, not the one made out of a fresh Alaskan Cod right here in Seattle.
We bumped into Nosh in the Fremont Sunday Market, alongside several other Food trucks.
We went almost when the market was closing & had just one option on the menu, Fish & Chips, and that’s what we wanted.
After a short wait, we were handed down this humongous piece of deep fried Alaskan cod & we started devouring it shortly after. The fish as such was so fresh, so beautiful & flaky with a nice thin batter, we all loved every bit of it.
What I personally loved even more was the minty mushy peas, a slightly acidic, pickled flavour, peas that complimented the fresh fish, wonderfully.
The chips were not very crispy and were in little excess oil like the fish, otherwise it was a beautiful meal on a even beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon.
This place is highly recommended & definitely lived up to its reputation of being famous. Looking forward to bump into them soon, sometime near Pioneer Square for lunch.
