Review: Paradise Dynasty at the Americana at Brand | Eater LA

"Opened in the former Din Tai Fung space at the Americana at Brand just ahead of the holiday rush, this Singapore-based spot seems to be targeting mall crowds but stands on its own with Taiwanese and Chinese diasporic dishes like pan-fried noodles and hot and sour soup. Lines aren’t as long as at Din Tai Fung (for now). For soup dumplings, skip the rainbow sampler and order two 10-piece trays of single flavors: the original pork is a safe pick, juicy and thin-skinned, while my favorite, the spicy Sichuan, has a rich, oily interior with a brief but intense kick. Crispy, layered radish pastries arrive piping hot looking like cute golden-brown bugs and, after the soup dumplings, are the most memorable thing on the table. Pan-fried noodles with pork or chicken get proper wok char, with shredded cabbage and julienned wood ear mushrooms adding crunch. Fried rice topped with a fried pork chop — straight from the Din Tai Fung canon — is excellent, with meaty, dark-brown pork over fluffy rice that’s a real crowd-pleaser. The clean, minimal room leans casual rather than destination-worthy; it’s not quite date-night material, better for a low-key gathering with family and friends. Heads up: parking at the Americana is very overpriced, so either peruse the Glendale Galleria for its free parking beforehand or make a small purchase at Nordstrom for validation." - Matthew Kang

Highly Anticipated Singapore Xiao Long Bao Specialist Paradise Dynasty Makes Its Los Angeles Debut | Eater LA

"After years of anticipation, Singapore’s xiao long bao specialist has made its Los Angeles debut at the Americana at Brand, opening on Friday, November 21 in the former Din Tai Fung space. The Glendale location serves eight flavors of xiao long bao, including black truffle, kimchi, garlic, barbecue pulled pork, and crab roe, alongside fluffy pan-fried Shanghai pork buns, sweet-and-sour chicken, pork chop fried rice, and crispy prawns with walnuts. Desserts span chewy black sesame mochi, a chocolate lava bun decorated to look like a panda, salted egg yolk xiao long bao, and chilled mango pudding. A new cocktail menu by Chris Amirault features the tropical, gin-based Singapore Sling (whose roots trace back to 1915 at Singapore’s Raffles Hotel), the Lychee Kiss as a take on a lychee martini, and the Dynasty Heat that hews closer to a spicy margarita. This marks the second U.S. location, following the brand’s 2021 stateside debut at South Coast Plaza." - Rebecca Roland

Paradise Dynasty - Review - Glendale - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"If you’ve ever stared at an order of soup dumplings and wished they came in more colors, we have good news for you. Paradise Dynasty, the Singaporean chain known for its eight-flavor, multicolored xiao long bao, just opened its first LA location inside the Americana (there’s another in Costa Mesa). PD looks to be the ultimateDTFcompetitor, with a similar menu of pork chop fried rice, pan-fried pork buns, and noodle soups, plus desserts like mango pudding and black sesame mochi." - Cathy Park

Google
The service was fantastic- and Michael was so helpful and attentive. I had been looking forward to trying this place out after all the hype in LA Mag etc. The food left more to be desired. The photos make it look less appealing than the real thing so that made deciding tricky. The bao sampler was nice, but it left more to be desired with regards to taste. The cocktails were yummy. The beef short ribs were def a highlight as well as the pork chop fried rice. The decor was meh. Additionally we were sat right at the window and the music from the noodle bar was distracting.

Google
The service was excellent, everyone was friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome. The soup dumplings were definitely the highlight: flavorful, perfectly steamed, and absolutely delicious. I also tried the fried rice with pork, which was wonderfully seasoned. My only small complaint is that my cocktail came with a lot of ice, which made it feel a bit diluted. Not a deal-breaker, but something to note. Overall, I recommend the place!

Google
It’s our first time trying the newly-opened Paradise Dynasty at the Glendale Americana. The food, ambience and service were great. We ordered the original xiao long bao, fried pork chop fried rice and the crispy fried sweet and sour cod. All were delicious! Our server Michael was very attentive and gave us great service. Will definitely come back to bring the rest of the family.

Amazing dining time here. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our server Kevin was super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Just had a great group meal at this newly opened Paradise Dynasty/ Le Shrimp Noodle Bar. Love the menu selection here. Beautiful, built out restaurant space. Food and service were great, as usual. Very nice bar seating. Great addition to Americana at Brand and City of Glendale.

Google
My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Paradise Dynasty!! Michael, our server, was the best server we could have asked for. He was personable, attentive, and always had a smile on his face. We ordered the Original Xiao Long Bao, sweet and sour chicken, Shang hai rice cakes, pork and shrimp spicy wontons, and the salted egg yolk custard Xiao long bao. The flavors were perfect and not one dish needed extra salt or flavor. The chili oil here is not the spiciest but makes up for it in depth of flavor. Michael you were amazing, and we would totally come back just to have you as our server again. DTF, you have some serious competition…..

We came for the soft opening and were blown away! Kevin, our server, was attentive and spot-on with his recommendations. The soup dumplings are a game-changer - hands down the best in town! Love the innovative flavors, and the red oil dumplings and Dan dan noodles are must-orders. Service is speedy and attentive. Perfect spot for big groups to try a variety of dishes!

Google
I’m really excited that this restaurant finally opened a location in LA! They’re most known for their supreme dynasty soup dumplings that come with 8 flavors. Our favorites were the kimchi, black truffle, and the crab roe ones. The bolder ones (szechuan and kimchi) ones are not too spicy so even if you have a low spice tolerance, it’s still enjoyable. We also ordered the woodear mushroom salad, pan fried pork buns, and an extra order of the kimchi soup dumplings. It’s similar to Din Tai Fung but I think I preferred it more!

Yelp
Coincidentally came on during their grand opening and the food and service was top notch. We didn't wait very long to be seated and food came out fairly quickly afterwards. Portions were good and the flavors were there. I would come back just for the stir fried noodles with shredded pork! And the spring rolls! Our server Shawn was also attentive and very helpful, given that this was our first time here. Overall good experience!

Yelp
Service and food were amazing, I recommend ordering the panda dessert because of how cute and delicious it is. The service was amazing, especially from Stephanie!

Yelp
We've been waiting for this location near us to open for like 2 years & it's finally open. We also ended up going to a Singapore location this past summer and wanted to compare. Great variety of xlb and food as in Singapore but there were some kinks due to being in soft opening. I'm sure they will figure it out. Thank you Shawn for taking good care of us. Can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
First time trying paradise dynasty with my little group of 3 and I was impressed with EVERYTHING! We got a little bit of this and that on the menu. Xlb 10 piece regular Xlb 10 piece garlic Xlb 10 piece crab Green beans DanDan noodles Spicy wonton pork/shrimp Fried rice porkchop Also ask for Maria as you server! Shout out to her for the outstanding service! She knew the answer for every question I had. Will definitely be back don't skip on this place!

Yelp
Had a nice dinner at Paradise Dynasty. The sweet and sour fish, shrimp fried rice, and cabbage were the standouts for me. Our server Shawn was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, solid spot with good food and good service. I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Here's the revised polished version with your note about Ian: Came to Paradise Dynasty and tried the sampler -- it was so much fun tasting all the different flavors. I genuinely enjoyed them all except the Szechuan and BBQ, but I love that they offer this variety. We also ordered the radish appetizer, which had a really unique flavor and texture -- definitely a must-try. The garlic string beans were out of this world! I loved the addition of minced pork; it gave the dish so much depth. The dan dan noodles were light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. A special shoutout to our waiter, Ian, who walked us through the entire menu and even starred his favorite dishes for us -- super helpful and friendly. Overall, I'd highly recommend checking this place out if you're nearby.

Yelp
My sister always wanted to go to Paradise Dynasty because of their signature multicolored Xiao Long Baos. We finally got to give them a try as they opened up an LA location at the Americana at Brand in Glendale. The restaurant is super spacious and totes gorge, it was def giving bougie. Our server Nate and restaurant manager Angel were both really friendly and they provided great service. We went ahead and each ordered ourselves Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao order, which contained all 8 flavors. Although I do try to avoid eating pork, this was one of those times I allowed myself to indulge, because the dumplings were just so aesthetically Instagrammable, I had to break my dietary restrictions because I did not want to miss out on trying this Xiao Long rainbow. We followed the recommended flavor order to best enjoy them all and it was quite a journey to paradise: 1. Original: Your standard Xiao Long Bao, nice and juicy, with a delightfully chewy wrapper. 2. Black Truffle: The truffle flavor was strong with this one, was I eating XLB or a spoonful of truffle oil? 3. Cheese: A very creamy, dreamy XLB, with surprise pockets of gushing mild cheddar with every bite. 4. Crab Meat with Roe: Taste the ocean, like XLB and sushi has a baby! 5. Garlic: Like the Original but with a sharp garlic tang with every bite, the anti-Twilight XLB. 6. BBQ Pulled Pork: Tastes like extra juicy Texas BBQ pork ribs were stuffed into an XLB. 7. Szechuan: Like the Original XLB, but with a punch that gives you a fat lip due to the numbing Mala spice. 8. Kimchi: Has a bold and sour/fermented flavor, like the XLB was stuffed with fresh kimchi.

Yelp
Paradise Dynasty, is the Singapore challenge, to the Taiwanese Din Tai Fung. The latter has already established a strong footprint in the United States. Both their businesses center around dumplings, with additional offerings. So let's talk about Paradise Dynasty. They started out in Orange County and recently moved into Los Angeles. Let me say thank you, we have been waiting for you. I saw this outpost at Changi Airport, when I was in Singapore on a layover, but did not have time to visit. This LA outpost debut is located at Rick Caruso's stunning mall complex, the Americana at Glendale. The dining space is expansive. The service is extremely friendly. (I think they know what the competition is). The signature dish at Paradise, is the 8 International Flavored Xiao Long Bao. They claim it to be the world's first. It is a must get. Superb.l What is attractive in this soup dumpling presentation is, that they all have different colors and they all have distinct flavors. Magnetic optics. You are supplied with a small cheat sheet to tell you what is in each of the dumplings, the flavor to expect and which order to eat them. This part of marketing, is brilliant. And yes, each and every dumpling, was dynamite. But they don't instruct you how to eat a soup dumpling. Punch the whole, suck up the soup, etc. Also, on the table there are two small stainless steel pour containers. What is inside? There's no labeling. I had to ask. ...one is vinegar, one was soy sauce. So what else do you order when you are here? The menu is extensive, numerous choices, so hard to decide. All look so good. Have to come back, it is already in the works. After much debate, I went for their green beans with pork, wishing subconsciously to compare, the green beans that one gets at Din Tai Fung. I have to say this one was a notch better. Maybe because it had the pork, and its unique flavor. Also ordered steam rice ($3 extra charge) with this item. The beans was a superb dish. I could not stop eating and actually finished it. Service by Marcus, was high class. So will Paradise be able to compete with their competitor? Everyone is asking that question. At the onset, it seems like it will be a hard mountain to climb. But I would not doubt the Singaporeans. Let the games begin.

Yelp
Two words, rainbow dumplings! Ever since these colorful Xiao long baos made it on to my social media feed, I have been so curious to try the dumpling flight for ages! Unfortunately, the nearest location was in the OC by Costa Mesa. Luckily, they are now open at the Glendale Galleria! I took my family and we celebrated and indulged in a delicious feast! The vibes are nice; they have a little bar area towards the back, and there's a large window where you can watch the chefs make xlb in the kitchen. My favorite xlb from the flight was the truffle and cheese! The pork fried rice, sea bass and walnut shrimp were my favorite entrees. The mango pudding was my favorite dessert! The service was good overall, but got a bit slow towards the end. Took a while till we finally received our takeout boxes! I still think about that sea bass, and will definitely be back for more next time I'm in Glendale!

Yelp
I m super happy to see Paradise Dynasty in Glendale. This location was smaller than the one in South Coast plaza. I have been to the one in South Coast a few times and have always enjoyed the foods. The 8 flavors XLB were so good. I have been craving their XLB so decided to order for Togo. I placed two orders of the XLB and 2 orders of the fried rice with pork. Of course the XLB would taste better if we dined in. However, Togo was not bad at all. The XLB didn't dry out. Every piece was packed with flavors. We all enjoyed it so much and wanted more. The portion for the fried rice was small. It was very good tho. Even the fried rice was packed with flavors lol loved the rice that they used. Glad they didn't put so much of the green onions. The amounts of meats were perfect as well. Their boxes were nice and simple. I would definitely order from here again. Looking forward to dine in one day.

Yelp
Finally got to try paradise dynasty at the Americana after walking past it for months, and wow. Def worth the wait. We came in around 4pm for an early dinner and got seated right away before the rush. The space is gorgeous inside and fits the Americana vibe really well. Plenty of tables and booths for seating. Food Highlights: Signature XLB (9.5/10): super flavorful broth and great quality overall. Dan Dan Noodles (10/10): easily the best I've ever had. More on the peanutty side which I loved. Black pepper beef (100/10): the star of the night. Perfectly cooked, tender, seasoned to perfection. Fried rice w/ fried pork chops (10/10): another standout. Pork was juicy and cooked perfectly. Pair some of that pork w/ the dan dan noodles and thank me later. Prawn & pork wontons (7.5/10): good overall, but a little too vinegary for my taste. This place is a must visit if you're a fan of din tai fung. So happy it's finally open, and I can't wait to be back.

Yelp
The dim sum war is on at Americana! As a long time die hard fan of Din Tai Fung, I didn't really have high hopes for the spot taking over their own location. I am so glad they proved me wrong! We got the rainbow sampler so we could try as many different flavors as possible. Would definitely get a full orders of the garlic, truffle, and kimchi dumplings. The fried rice, chicken won tons (not pictured) & veggies were delicious as well. With only a 15 minute wait, this was definitely the faster option. Will be back again soon!

Yelp
Let me put you on this place that's probably better than Ding Tai Fung! My family came to the Americana for the holiday shopping and wanted to try this place out. Food: 5/5 We ordered the rainbow xiao long baos, noodles, ribs, fish, soup, dessert Xiao long baos, veggies, and everything! The assorted Xiao long boas were delicious and they were BOGO because of their promotional deal. The black truffle, crab roe, and kimichi dumplings were unique and delicious in their own way! I love the variety of the rainbow dumplings. The regular Xiao long bao was really good too! My favorite dishes, beside the baos, were their sweet and sour spare ribs, goes great with rice. Their string beans were really yummy too. The portion sizes are not too big so we were able to order lots of things and share. Service: 5/5 Our service was exceptional. It was super easy to make a reservation, even during the holidays and once there, there was little to no wait. Our server, Kevin, was friendly and explained the menu in great detail. He circled all of the items that were highly recommended and we ordered all of them, and he did not steer us wrong! All of the staff were attentive. Lastly, the food came out pretty quick and everything was nice and steamy. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is upscale, but yet serves delicious comfort Chinese/Taiwanese food. I love their open kitchen concept where you can see the chefs preparing the food. It's also in a great location, perfect for delicious meal after some holiday shopping. They also have a bar that I didn't get to try, but I would definitely come back for that next time.

Yelp
Paradise Dynasty just opened at the old Ding Tai Fung location in the Americana. It's essentially direct competition in the XLB (xiao long bao) space. Unfortunately, I think DTF still holds the crown in my heart. I think Paradise Dynasty really explores flavors and challenges the norm of what should be in a dumpling. Specifically the cheese, bbq and truffle weren't my favorite. For those who love discovery - this is the place to be! It attempts to reach fine dining with its great service and attentive to detail. It's interior is well decorated and modern. There's definitely a story when you dine and sample their unique take. (They provide a guide, starting from the mildest flavor to the most bold). There wasn't a wait when I went on a Thursday afternoon. I believe they had just opened for 2 weeks.

Yelp
This location was newly opened and is located next to the Americana in Glendale. I parked in the Americana parking lot and walked over. We did have reservations but they take walk-ins as well. The colorful dumplings were fun to try. There's a paper that describes and labels each flavor. My favorite favors were the original and truffle. The green beans with the mince pork were very flavorful. I prefer this dish over dtf bean dish. The service was excellent and location was clean. The desert buns took a while to come out, but overall would recommend!

Yelp
Lunch for 2 Vegan & Vegetarian We checked out the new dumpling restaurant after seeing many vegan and Vegetarian options on their menu Bright lighting and really comforting ambiance. The wait time was around 25 minutes, not so bad for Sunday noon lunch. Former location of din tai fung, not much of a change, except the bar was moved adjacent. The staff was kind and enthusiastic, which is great esp during holiday time of the year. We got the following dishes that are vegan and can be made vegan. 1. Ma Pa Tofu - made vegan, using Mushroom as the meat substitute. Lots of flavor and very savory dish. This meal will make your taste buds tingle with its Sichuan peppers, spicy levek 2.5/5. The soft texture tofu with the Mushroom substitute, not too chunky. 5/5 2. Dan Dan noodles- peanut base, this dish was great with savory flavor and its already vegan friendly. I've has this dish become dry at other restaurants and it was quite the contrary here, I can say with confidence this dish was sauce. 5/5 3. French Beans- made vegan with a Mushroom as its substitute. Another savory dish, the beans had a nice crunch and also a pepper corn taste to it, tho not as strong as the ma pa tofu. 5/5 4. Vegetable Dumpling - Already a vegan dish, this dumpling had mochi (chewy) texture. Taste was neutral with lightly seasoned steamed veggie filling. The way its supposed to be eaten: Mixing the soy sauce and vinegar with the red chill oil and ginger strips. Dipping the dumpling into the sauce, makes the dish x10 better. The menu is easy to ready and cleared marked, anyone that's vegan or vegetarian will be able order with confidence. I do wish there were more vegan/Veg dumpling options but with diverse menu, this a great place nonetheless. Worth the try

Yelp
Love that there's a location in LA County. I don't have to go to Costa Mesa anymore!! You have to get their rainbow dumplings because they're nice to look at and each one is a different flavor. Also get the flaky pastry. It's so good and has really good texture. The service was good.

Yelp
Shortly after Din Tai Fung left their space in the Americana, signage appeared that Paradise Dynasty was going to open in the same space. The photos of colorful dumplings signaled a new concept and had me anxious for it to open. I've been watching the construction and was excited to see the walls coming down recently, a sign that their opening was imminent. Then, while headed to dinner nearby, we noticed it was open. We popped by to check it out and found out that they were in a soft open phase. So we switched our plans and chose to dine with them instead. We were warmly greeted and seated within 5 minutes. While perusing the menus, our server, Shawn, stopped by to check in. Shawn skillfully led us through the menu and then headed off to get our beverages while we decided what to order. When our drinks were delivered, we placed our order. We chose to each try the Xiao Long Bao sampler, an order of Prawn & Kurobota Pork Wontons in Chile Oil, and an order of Stir Fried Green Beans with Pork. Our cocktails were quite good, though a little light on the booze. One was a twist on a Mojito and the other was similar to a tiki drink. Then came our Xiao Long Bao. The steamer baskets contained 8 dumplings, each one a different color containing a specific filling. We were given a tasting guide showing the fillings as well as the recommended order in which to eat them, from mild to bold. The first one was a traditional Xiao Long Bao and it did not disappoint. But from that point on, things got weird. Fillings such as Cheese, BBQ Pulled Pork and Kimchi did not work for me. First off, cheese is virtually unheard of in Asian cooking. Second, I don't go to a dumpling house seeking pulled pork or kimchi. The entire array of dumplings came across as an unnecessary gimmick to draw people in. I was not impressed. Our other two dishes arrived shortly after. The prawn and pork dumplings were decent and the chile oil sauce was just okay, though I certainly appreciated the tingle on my lips from the pepper. The green beans were also decent, if a little over cooked. There was a good amount of ground pork and fermented vegetables which added a nice punch of flavor. Bottom line, their menu is a bit pedestrian compared to Dinner Tai Fung though the pricing is similar. The food was good but not exceptional. The service was great and they will probably do well in this location, but I don't see myself rushing back.

Yelp
New restaurant with dumplings so close to DTF, wow! Let's give it a try! We came hungry and ready to try many items. But after dropping the amount of money we spent for 2 people, I truly hope it gets better. Stepped into the restaurant and the ambiance seemed lovely. The restroom was nice too, except the Target up & up hand sanitizer and the bubble gum pink soap did not match the decor. The 2nd time I went to the restroom, no soap, say what?! Server, mostly cool except completely forgot the honey that was asked from the beginning. They remembered and apologized as we were paying the bill tho. Food, some was good and some was mediocre. Drinks, overpriced. Will give it another shot.

Yelp
11/11/2025 - The PARADISE DYNASTY, which is a Singaporean cuisine restaurant, had a soft opening on Oct. 23, 2025 and will have a Grand Opening on Nov. 21, 2025. The signature Rainbow Dynasty Xiao Long Bao is indeed the best with eight flavors. Recommend to follow the instruction to start with an original flavor Xiao Long Bao first, which has a lot of soup inside. You can walk from this restaurant indoor connected to the Le Shrimp Noodle Bar next door under the same roof since the same owner opened the two restaurants simultaneously Oct. 23, 2025. The service is also excellent! You can park just across the restaurant with a meter parking lot at $3 per hour or park at the mall for free, but require a 10-minute walk..

Yelp
We sure have been waiting a long time for this space to flip and last night, as we walked by to go to the movies at the Americana we saw they were doing a soft opening. We walked in after the movie and were immediately seated. Luckily, no hours long wait like that other place :) (yet). We were seated at a table by the front window (nice for people watching) and attended to immediately. The server was very friendly and eager to help us get situated with the large, new to us, menu. He very kindly stared recent diner's favorites on an order form left at our table) and then also, marked good options for my pescatarian kiddo when he asked about allergies and diets. I was happy to have those selections since this was our first time. They had a lovely looking cocktail list and other non-alcoholic drinks that you could add boba too. We didn't try this time as we just came from the movies (too much soda) but will definitely try another time! At first glance, the menu has a ton of pork options but we did, thankfully, find a lot of vegetarian options for kiddo. We ended up ordering the cucumbers, green beans vegan style, vegetarian dumplings, and vegan noodles. All were good but boy oh boy, did I wish I had the vegan noodles to myself! The broth and noodles were so good! Hubby and I ordered the 8 different colored bao (I especially liked the garlic and shezuan flavored boa). Hubs liked the bbq one a lot. Those bao were really delicious, I loved savoring the juice from each! We also got the fried pork chop and two fried pork buns. The food came fast and we shared family style, although my kid dominated the vegan noodles, as those were very very good. Overall, the experience was pleasant, fast and tasty! The atmosphere is upscale and modern. I felt a little frumpy in my Jean shorts but they still treated me very nice. Looking forward to coming back to try the boba drinks, more noodles, dumplings and dessert. We had too much movie popcorn to try dessert. As long as the lines stay reasonable and the service stays quick, we will be back.

Yelp
We've been waiting for Paradise Dynasty to open in Glendale and it's finally happening! We happen to be in Glendale and came to try it on Saturday night. The food is great. You can say it's comparable to Din Tai Fung. But there are more variety of dishes and cocktails. We ordered the 8 international flavored xlb, 10 original xlb, rice cake and Dan Dan noodles. Every dish is tasty and exactly how it was at the Costa Mesa location. (The garlic one is still too pungent for us. Haha) They are still in soft opening phase. The server is friendly and very courteous. The soft lighting and the dark tone make the space feel sophisticated. The only negative experience is the cup for water is dirty with a ring on it. Told the waiter he immediately apologized and told the manager they will make sure it doesn't happen in the future. He handled the situation well and that's all I'm asking. Come during soft opening, they will give you 2 vouchers for future visits.

Yelp
Beautiful, clean restaurant. We were walking around deciding on a place to eat and were delighted to stumble across Paradise Dynasty during their soft opening. Score! We walked in and were greeted immediately. Waited a short time for our table (can't even call it a wait) and I was impressed with the decor. An absolutely stunning restaurant. Kevin took good care of us, went over the menu and answered all of our questions. I'll put a short description of our meals on my pics but to cut it short, everything was delicious. Staff, ambience and food all 5 stars! Very happy this restaurant is here in Glendale. Not to make digs but Din Tai Who?

Yelp
XLB set with all the different flavors was a rip off, the truffle and the original were good but every other flavor was borderline horrible. The truffle xlb however was delicious as well as the original xlb, and the pork and prawn wontons were the best I've had, way better than din tai fung's. Didn't get to try the radish pastry because they were already sold out by 12pm on a Sunday which was disappointing, but overall decent meal. Would likely still go to other dim sum places instead bc the portions were small. The remaining dishes we had, the spinach, french beans with pork, pork fried dumpling, pork bun, and pork fried rice were all just okay and very small. Maybe the radish pastry made it worth it to other people? But for me and my visit I was kind of disappointed.

Yelp
i will say you DEFINITELY need a reservation. it's so new and so busy that they don't even take walk ins anymore. overall experience was good! the service was great and very quick. i think the 8 flavors are more of a gimmick and are fun to experience. however, the flavors were a bit odd to me? i truly only enjoyed the truffle, original, and garlic. the rest are fun to experience but again, i wouldn't get this again. the other food was pretty basic nothing CRAZY good. i would say i still prefer din tai dung over paradise dynasty. the cocktails are premixed so dont expect a fancy cocktail or anything.

Yelp
The signature dish: the multi-flavor "rainbow" xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are a real draw. According to multiple sources, this is what the restaurant is known for. Service was amazing, our server kevin did a good job helping us with recommendations. The location is pretty nice, it got lots to do around the area. Which means it's easily accessible, upscale shopping-dining synergy.

Yelp
3.5/5 If you read the reviews, it seems like everyone is naming servers repeatedly. Is there an incentive for 5-star reviews? Anyway, let's get into the real unbiased review. I've tried both the SCP and the Americana locations by now. Round 1: There are chili oil, ginger, vinegar, and soy sauce sets provided at the table. While pouring out our vinegar, a gnat poured out with ours. Their popular variety of xlb - 50/50 on this one because half of them were actually good. One stood out the most though (but not in a good way), which was the bbq pork. Overall, I'd order it again, I will just give the bbq pork to someone else. Hot and sour soup - 5/5 Actually liked this one a lot. The flavor was nice and the consistency remained thick the whole time. The "sour" part wasn't overpowering. Prawn/Pork Wontons - 1/5 not for me but this is a personal preference. The peppercorn taste was not it for me. The peppercorn numbs your tongue a bit and alters the flavor of the dish. Round 2: Chilled Tofu with Soy Sauce - 5/5 This was probably my favorite dish of the night. Was a bit confused why the appetizer came in the second round of food but not first? I tasted some soy sauce and sesame and the garnishes matched the dish well. Fried rice - 4/5 Chicken was a little dry but the flavor was good. It was savory and not too oily. The portion was quite small. Sweet and Sour Fish - (-5/5) Had to return this dish because why did it taste like a whole bottle of ketchup was poured on top of it? Dessert: Chilled red bean glutinous rice - (0/5) I was the most excited about this one because the one in SCP was sooooo good. It was soft and melted in your mouth. The one I was served here tasted like it was days old leftovers. It was hard and stale at the same time. Drink: it was a mocktail. I don't remember the name but it just tasted like a glorified lemonade. Not bad though! Overall, I'd go back again when they're settled but it will not be the first choice. They are also still in soft opening so the back half of the restaurant is filled with unorganized boxes. Seating is not as quick yet, which is understandable as they are still learning. Server was nice. The seating was nice but a little too close for comfort. The lady next to us started having conversations with us because we might as well be seated in the same table. OH! Beware... they DO NOT validate.

Yelp
Ok, this place is different than Din Tai Fung but I'm a fan! Came here around 10:45am, thought it opened at 11 but it was 10 on a Saturday. We usually see Santa at Americana then go to DTF but my daughter was adamant about not seeing Santa so we just came here after seeing the water fountain. Luckily it wasn't busy yet, they said it gets crowded around noon. We were seated after 5 mins. Waiter was friendly but not that on top of things. We ordered the array of colored baos, along with some of the regular xiao long baos. Also got the broccoli, the Dan Dan noodles, hot and sour soup and shrimp fried rice. Colorful baos were interesting, mostly good. For me the pulled pork was a little weird. Broccoli was yummy and flavorful. Hot and sour soup was good but different than what we're used to. Dan Dan noodles were good but on the peanutty side with too much numbing flavor. But overall a great addition to the Americana!

Yelp
The ambiance is casual fine dining. We are vegetarian so we had steamed vegetable dumplings, vegetable wanton soup and both were fantastic! We also had the chilled tofu in a vinaigrette sauce with crunchy onions, and I have to say, that sauce is addicting. I wanted it on everything. While all that was fantastic, my favorite was the green beans with garlic sauce! I should have ordered one just for myself but I was nice enough to share it with my partner:) We had the great pleasure of excellent service by Michael, who was so accommodating and informative about the menu. I always appreciate help with choices that are hard to make. Michael checked up on us regularly and was always close by. We recommend Paradise Dynasty......and Michael!

Yelp
Fantastic replacement for the departed Din Tai Fung! Everything is bolder in flavor, hotter, and more satisfying across the board. This opening staff is at the top of their game, attentive, hospitable, and very competent. Similar setup as the old DTF but the lighting feels a little better. Absolutely a golden era right now!

Yelp
Saw that Dynasty Paradise opened in Glendale and went last night. I should have done my research but I was extremely disappointed to find out everything had shellfish. Double checked with our waiter and she informed us that everything has shellfish and shrimp in it. So a warning to everyone out there with shellfish allergies. I was not able to special dynasty XLBs or any of the XLBs which is unfortunate. The ambiance was nice, renovated the previous din tai fung space and looks a bit more upscale. The receptionist that check us in was really nice and she walked over to the table. Our server was less enthusiastic and less friendly. Most of the staff are young so I believe their professionalism/service will improve with time. Unfortunately I wasn't able to have the XLB's or pan fried dumplings but my friend was able to and she said it was just OK. I was able to have the sweet and sour fish, vegetable wontons, and Dan Dan noodles. Dan Dan noodles were great, noodles were cooked perfectly and chewy. Sweet and sour fish is good. Vegetable wonton with the chili oil is a skip. Oolong tea was ok. Panda bun were ok as well, the filling was way too liquidity. As I'm writing this review, I'm realizing the food really live up to the ambiance of the venue.

Yelp
It was my distinct pleasure to try the new Glendale dumpling house, Paradise Dynasty. I had long been a fan of Din Tai Fung, so was pleased to have a new option in the area. At first blush I can say that I was most impressed with the decor. Whereas their neighbor was always too bright for me and felt something like a hotel lobby, Paradise had more muted tones and felt more welcoming. As I hadn't planned ahead, I sat at the small bar and was warmly greeted by a dark-haired bartender. Her nametag read Nataly. She helped me navigate the impressively extensive menu and assisted me in making some decisions, including informing me of some opening week BOGO specials. SCORE She also made me an absolutely delicious Singapore Sling. Yum! I particularly enjoyed the flight of dumplings that were color-coded to help one eat them in the correct order. I really enjoyed myself, and the dumplings and will try to bring some friends in to try the place out. I wasn't blown away by the Hot and Sour Soup, but there are many other items on the menu which I look forward to trying. Keep up the good work!

Yelp
Came in today for the grand opening and was blessed with a BOGO deal--buy one, get one free! I hate to say it, but I still prefer Din Tai Fung's XLB over these soup dumplings. However, everyone should come here at least once to experience all the different flavor options. I tried a bit of everything: * Truffle - 10/10, rich and delicious. * Cheese - reminded me of a creamy ravioli. * Crab meat & roe - my least favorite. * Garlic - very strong; I honestly couldn't pinpoint what I was eating except "garlicky." * BBQ pulled pork - tasted like eating a mini sandwich in dumpling form. * Szechuan - left a light, pleasant tingle. * Kimchi - bold and fun. The colors and presentation were beautiful, and the ambiance inside is gorgeous. The Thai tea was phenomenal--you can really taste the depth of the tea. Our server was also extremely kind, which made the visit even better. Overall, I'd definitely come back!

Yelp
Our lunch at Paradise Dynasty was phenomenal! We had Specialty dynasty Xiao Long Bao, Dan Dan noodle, prawn & kurobuta pork wonton in chili oil, hot and sour soup, Japanese cucumber with minced garlic and stir-fried French bean. They were all divine. Our server, Ian, was very attentive. The atmosphere was bright and cozy. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Paradise dynasty opened in Glendale at the old space of the previous Din Tai Fung at the Americana, as the Din Tai Fung had moved to a much larger space at the Glendale Galleria a long time ago. We were excited to try this as an alternative to the long and frustrating waiting usually at Din Tai Fung, as we had tried another location and it was pretty good with a variety of different flavors of XLB - the famous soup dumplings. The soup dumplings were pretty good but just on par with Din Tai Fung and not particularly better. The service was disjointed and the flavors of some of the other dishes including some garlic dumplings we got and chocolate stuffed panda buns very very messy, stuff d with this chocolate liquid. Regarding the service, we did not get any water until toward the middle end of the meal and my Diet Pepsi did not come until we had to ask for it. There was no sequence in serving any of the dishes. Fortunately it seems they comped the drinks from the check for this. I don't know if we would go back here, the food is not bad but flavors were somewhat off and service could be improved. The ambiance in the space feels much more like an office space than a restaurant overall. The consistency at Din Fai Fung makes it more popular and appealing choice for a reason.

Yelp
Came with a group of three and we had such a great experience at Paradise Dynasty. We tried the Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao, Radish Pastry, Pan-fried Shanghai Kurobuta Pork Bun, Prawn and Kurobuta Pork Wontons in Chili Oil, Vegetable and Chicken Wontons in Thick Chicken Soup, and the Stir-fried Noodles with Shrimp -- all of them were delicious and definitely some of my new favorites. The staff was very welcoming, sweet, and friendly, which made the whole visit even better. And of course, don't forget to try the cute panda chocolate lava bun for dessert -- it's a must. Highly recommend this place for amazing food and warm service. Will be a regular customer!

Yelp
The service here was absolutely outstanding, and the food was incredibly delicious. Shawn took great care of us, and we also loved the cute dessert!

Ava V.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant and polite crew. The lava chocolate panda was so cute, eat carefully because the chocolate oozes out! We had the sweet and sour chicken and chicken wontons in chili oil, and I recommend both. We also had the rainbow xiao long bao, and it is worth trying different flavors to test them out. Shout out to Shawn for helping us today.

Yelp
First time here and we loved everything we ordered. Kevin was our server and he explained the menu very well and we ordered off his suggestions. Great service and great food! Definitely a place to try

Yelp
I recently visited Paradise Dynasty at the Americana in Glendale and was impressed from start to finish. The newly redesigned bar area is sleek, modern, and beautifully done, adding a refined touch to the restaurant's overall atmosphere. The ambiance is vibrant yet comfortable, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Of course, you can't visit without trying their signature 8 Color Xiao Long Bao -- an absolute must try! Each dumpling offers a unique flavor experience, from classic pork to truffle, bbq pork, and even Szechuan. The skins are delicate yet hold perfectly, and the broth inside bursts with rich, savory flavor. It's the kind of dish that keeps you reaching for the next color just to see which one you'll love most. Service was another highlight. Our server, Kevin, was warm, professional, and attentive throughout the meal. He had a welcoming attitude and a great eye for detail, making sure everything arrived promptly and perfectly timed. Between the elevated design, exceptional service, and standout dishes, Paradise Dynasty continues to be a gem in the Americana dining scene. Highly recommend stopping by and definitely don't leave without the xiao long bao flight!

Yelp
Came to try Paradise Dynasty during their soft opening with my parents and we had a delightful time! 8 flavor XLB: 10/10 - these are a must-get and they're so fun to try each flavor! Cucumber appetizer: 10/10 - refreshing, crisp thick cut cucumber, and well seasoned in a tangy vinegary sauce Chicken Soup: 10/10 - VERY flavorful Chinese chicken soup. You can taste the quality ingredients. They also give ample pieces of dark meat. Sweet and Sour pork: 6.5/10 - Very tender pork with generous vegetables. I thought the sauce was a tad to sweet. Filet Mignon cubes: 10/10 - Very tender, flavorful with black pepper, and pairs well with white rice. Dandan noodles: 9.5/10 - Noodles were cooked perfectly, sauce was savory and nutty. I just wish it came with some cucumbers garnish for a little texture. Radish pastry: 8/10 - I typically don't like these kinds of pastries, but the radish filling was very unique and tasty. Panda chocolate buns: 8/10 - Super cute panda buns! I'm more used to mainstream Chinese fillings, so the chocolate was a little jarring but not in a bad way. Service is extremely fast and friendly! We parked in the Galleria parking (since it's free) and walked over. They have beautiful restrooms, lots of seating for small or large parties, a bar, cocktails, mocktails, and an extensive menu.

Yelp
12/6/2025 Lunch: Finally got to try Paradise Dynasty with 2 other friends yesterday, after eyeing it for awhile. We ordered: *Specialty Dynasty XLB [rainbow dumplings] *Black Truffle XLB [6 piece] *Radish Pastry *Stir Fried French Beans [vegan option] *Fried Rice with Shrimp *Chicken Wonton in Chili Oil *Panda Chocolate Lava Bun *Pan-fried Pumpkin Glutinous Rice cake [a touch greasy] *My favorites were the: "Black Truffle XLB", "Chicken Wonton in Chili Oil" and "Radish Pastry" [I'm not a 'radish' fan but- wow trust me, just order this!]. Honorable mention for the French Beans because they had great flavor. Other dishes were 'hit-or-miss' unfortunately. The Specialty Dynasty XLB [rainbow dumplings] option is a good way to sample the different flavors to find out what you like/ don't like. *Szechuan dumpling* had an odd 'sour' aftertaste & my friend found the *Crab Meat with Roe* to be a bit 'fishy' tasting. Also our *Panda Bun dessert* which we were looking forward to the most - although extremely cute looking - had very little chocolate filling. Staff is just wonderful however! Our server *Sharmi* was excellent. She patiently answered all our questions, gave great recommendations on items to order, and even graciously took our group pictures! The restaurant manager *Caesar* [who we met at a giveaway event] is also very friendly and welcoming - always with a smile on his face - which adds to the overall experience and ambiance at Paradise Dynasty. I am going to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt- perhaps they are working out a few 'kinks' in the early opening stages. Will try again soon. **Overall Score: 3.5/5 stars

Yelp
I'm really excited that this restaurant finally opened a location in LA! They're most known for their supreme dynasty soup dumplings that come with 8 flavors. Our favorites were the kimchi, black truffle, and the crab roe ones. The bolder ones (szechuan and kimchi) ones are not too spicy so even if you have a low spice tolerance, it's still enjoyable. We also ordered the woodear mushroom salad, pan fried pork buns, and an extra order of the kimchi soup dumplings. It's similar to Din Tai Fung but I think I preferred it more!

Yelp
This is truly one of the best restaurants in the Glendale area. I had been waiting for them to open and as soon as they soft opened I went for lunch. We ordered from appetizers to dessert and everything was delicious. My favorite dishes were the Speciality Dynasty Xiao Long Bao, the Kurobuta Pork Wontons and the Sweet and Stir-fried black pepper angus beef with basil. The shrimp fried rice was also amazing. For the kids the Panda Chocolate Lava Bun was a huge hit because it was super cute and perfectly sweet. The interior was beautiful and they also have a bar counter. Since it is located inside The Americana parking is easy. I forgot to get my parking validation and had to come all the way back so make sure you do not forget to get your validation. The service was great as well. The staff was friendly, attentive and made the experience even better. We definitely recommend this spot for a friends night out date night or a family meal. I cannot wait to come back again soon.

Yelp
Paradise Dynasty just opened at the Americana, and wow--it's already a standout! The food and service were both excellent from start to finish. Every dish came out hot, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Kevin recommended the string beans. They are a must order--perfectly crispy and seasoned with just the right amount of spice and umami. They might honestly be my new favorite veggie dish anywhere. Of course, I couldn't skip the traditional xiao long bao, and they did not disappoint--delicate wrappers, rich broth, and that perfect balance of porky goodness. To top it all off, I added the Lychee Kiss cocktail, which was light, refreshing, and the ideal pairing for all the bold flavors. Everything was SO good--this was a perfect meal from start to finish. I'll definitely be back soon (and bringing friends who love dumplings as much as I do)!

Yelp
The 8 international flavors Xiao Long Bao is a must try. Out of the 8 flavors, I preferred the original, cheese, and crab meat with Roe. My favorite dish is the shrimp fried rice. The Dan Dan noodles had a nice texture and peanut flavored dominant sauce. Chili oil was perfect and flavorful I would take a bottle home if I could. Lychee tea was refreshing. Excellent service from our waiter Michael.

Yelp
We've been waiting for this restaurant since 2023 because of its worldwide popularity and it's definitely worth the wait! The food was excellently prepared and presented. The bold flavors made the experience all the worth while. The special Xiao Long Bao with various colors were pleasing to the eyes. The different flavors of the specialty were throughly thought out. The Xiao Long Bao were filled with unique flavors and insanely delicious, so we ordered another one. Each and every dish were carefully crafted especially the Panda Chocolate Bao. The pandas on the Bao are so cute and certainly worth ordering. The service was impeccable and the staff was energetic. Our server, Ellan, knew each dish well and described each one with confidence. She gave opinion when we asked for recommendations. Professional and friendly and we like her a lot. The other ones who assisted us were also attentive with smiles on their faces. It's great to dine in places that exudes joy and can make your day more beautiful. The ambience and the decorations created a gratifying background. The seating areas are spaced out perfectly. We dined in there yesterday, during a soft launch, and can't wait for the grand opening. We highly recommend this place and looking forward to seeing them earn a Michellin Star in the future.

Yelp
Our server Shawn was great and the food was excellent. We ordered the original xlb and the crab ones (which were my fave) they were highlight. The spicy pork and shrimp wontons were good as well. We also got the Shanghai fried pork bun but it wasn't as good as the other dishes and a bit dry.
