"There's no need to give in and buy a pound of chocolate pasta to cook at home when there's Pasta Casalinga. This Italian restaurant founded by folks from Italy serves some of the best pasta you'll eat at a food court counter. The menu rotates based on which fresh ingredients they have from the “ocean,” “garden,” and “farm,” with things like rigatoni with lamb and juniper berry ragu or spaghettoni with kale pesto. The real winner here is also the simplest—be sure to try the bright pomodoro topped with a glob of fresh burrata." - aimee rizzo
"This Pike Place star has a rotating menu of simple, yet thoughtful, made-to-order pasta plates that all cost less than $20. Dishes typically include a bowl of handmade pasta tossed with a light sauce and locally caught or foraged ingredients, such as creste di gallo pasta morels, pancetta, ricotta, and safron or classic pomodoro. You can eat at a small counter in the restaurant or take the food to go." - Harry Cheadle
"Pasta Casalinga is a casual Wednesday-Sunday spot in Pike Place Market that serves bowls of handmade pasta for under $20. Their menu rotates based on which fresh ingredients they have from the “ocean,” “garden,” and “farm,” and features things like rigatoni with lamb and juniper berry ragu, spaghettoni with kale pesto, or classic pomodoro with a big scoop of burrata on top. Everything comes out piping hot with a sprinkling of parmesan (as it should), and the ricotta chocolate crostata is incredible for dessert." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

"Pasta Casalinga closes at 5pm every day, but 4:30 still counts as dinner for some people, so we’re letting it slide. You won’t mind the early bird special when you realize that their pastas are tasty, inexpensive, and made by actual Italian people. The menu is pretty short and changes every two weeks, but you’ll always see a vegetarian option, something meaty, something with seafood, as well as a daily mushroom lasagna. Don’t skip the warm slice of crostata for dessert." - aimee rizzo
