Peace Pies

I haven't been here in years, I stopped by today for a mango curry wrap because that's my favorite item on the menu, I just really dislike the curry sauce it has an unpleasant taste and flavor in my opinion, they put way too many sprouts in my wrap, I would've preferred more greens or avocado, i enjoyed the kale chips but please remove the steams they aren't nice to eat a few of the chips ended up getting stuck together, the wrap fell apart on me when I'm eating, the flavor is a bit bland and the texture is acquired if your not used to raw vegan food. I'd love to see more food options available here and drinks, the dessert case was basically empty today and I know that there's new items available, since I follow on Instagram, but I never seem to find those on the menu. The menu in the restaurant on the wall seems to be permanently painted, I wonder if they plan on updating it in the future. The location of the restaurant was a little hard to find based on it's previous setup, I miss the old vibes of the cafe, but the new location feels more modern and cozy. Hope to return soon!

We went to eat there, cashier in her 20s was not happy to see us, she complained that she was alone and she had to cook the orders. She made us feel bad for ordering and her face clearly expressed it to a point that we thought about going somewhere else. She must improve customer experience and be happy with customers who come and spend their hard earned money to a business that might be paying her bills. Overall food was good and place is nice, just the experience with her was why I left a 4 star even if it deserved a 1 star, I understand is not the owners fault.

Peace pies has excellent raw vegan food. There aren't many raw vegan restaurants left anymore. That's why I made the extra trip to Peace Pies. I got a Bliss Burger with kale chips on the side, a carrot cup cake, and triple chocolate pie. All three were delicious. I will be back when I return to Cali.

What a delicious spot! The San Diego Caesar was amazing; perfect amount of dressing and super tasty. The quesadilla was delicious as well. Cute outdoor seating!

I’m not vegan, I’m not even vegetarian, but I went with a friend who has food allergies. I loved the nachos my friend had a wrap that she enjoyed as well. The nachos were filling, very tasty, crunchy ‘chips” which I was worried about since they were not the standard corn. We got a few deserts to go but I tasted a chocolate one and it was very very tasty! I was going as a favor for my friend, but I was pleasantly surprised and impressed!!

So grateful to have such a delicious raw vegan food place in town! Food is super flavorful, beautiful and the portions are quite large.. staff is friendly and knowledgeable.. definitely worth a visit 😋

Peace Pies is an incredible place with raw vegan options. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. The staff, Kathy and Austin, super friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. We ordered DURIAN Shake (made without any added sweeteners, just durian, coconut meat & water): thick and sooo delicious! Also, raw PIZZA, TACOS, MANGO wrap and Buffalo FALAFEL WRAP. Everything was epic! Juicy and creamy, good size portions. The wraps had lots of microgreens it them. All the dishes were paired with kale chips. There are also options to go, refrigerated and not, and many desserts. Absolutely love and recommend this place to everyone! Healthy food, delicious and looks beautiful.

Such a great cute place! It’s an intimate space and very well done. Yes, the food is a little pricey, but quality, flavor, and creativity of their raw plant based dishes were amazing! Externally warm and friendly staff. The desserts and BOMB, but the slices were pretty small. But again, the quality and flavors were a hit. I want to come back and bring friends here!

OMG! This place is awesome! All the food is made in house. There's nothing this vegetarian/vegan can't eat. Nothing is processed and nothing added but healthy ingredients. Lori got the Street Taco (she could only finish one but loved it) and I got the Bliss Burger, fully loaded with mushrooms, guac and their own catchup. If you're a carnivore I suggest giving this place a try. The food is all first rate in quality and taste. What an amazing find. We brought Coraline, our Pit Mix and they welcomed her.

Celebrated my birthday at one of my favorite vegan spots--Peace Pies! This place truly delivers real food made with love. The newly renovated space is absolutely magical and welcoming! It's got a modern touch with a cute, cozy vibe. We arrived for lunch and were lucky to snag a lovely indoor spot. The interior is open and bright, with dessert displays that made me want to try everything! Some standout menu items: Chips and guac app- beautifully plated and a healthy starter! Magical Mango Curry Wrap (my all-time favorite) - Avocado, mango, and mixed veggies all wrapped in a coconut tortilla, served with coconut curry sauce. It's super filling, packed with fresh veggies. Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla - A red bell tortilla stuffed with cheez, 'sautéed' mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and greens, served with guacamole. This is a close second for me--can't resist anything with mushrooms! Also, a special shoutout to their kale chips, which are hands down the best in town. I don't even mind getting kale stuck in my teeth, they're that good. LOL! To top it off, I had their refreshing sugarcane juice--my go-to whenever I see it on the menu! Even my non-vegan friends loved their meals and couldn't believe everything was raw vegan. I always love seeing people's reactions when they try this place for the first time, and it's always positive! Healthy, cruelty-free food that's both delicious and satisfying--Peace Pies does it right! To make the day even sweeter, they surprised me with a chocolate dessert when they found out it was my birthday. It was the perfect way to end my birthday lunch! Thank you, Peace Pies, for always serving up amazing food and service. I could eat here every day!

What an absolute gem. If I lived nearby, I'd ask the staff to hurry up and give me a nickname because I'd be a regular like clockwork. Alas, I don't live nearby. A stellar stop should you find yourself driving between Los Angeles and San Diego, or thereabouts. Like I did. If you do live close, lucky you. Newly introduced, I didn't know where to start. I asked about fan favorites and was directed to the mushroom quesadilla. "Everyone on Yelp loves it." Well goddamn. Feel free to include me on the "everyone" list. A tough task, creating a raw quesadilla that can stand up to its traditional, melty cousin. But stand up it does. My wife isn't big on mushrooms, but she was eyeing my half like I was going to have to fight for it. The faux-tuna wrap was spot on. A lot of greens and sprouts, extremely fresh, a crunch factor with a dressing that tied it all together like Lebowski's rug. And the kelp salad was blessed with just the right amount of olives to keep it fun. I used to be disinterested in raw spots. I found the flavors too consistent across the menu, too many dried seed everythings. Too bland, too much not enough. Undoubtedly healthy, but the taste buds want what the taste buds want. Peace Pies took the healthiness, kept that core of the raw lifestyle, and turned up all the rest. What an uplifting spot to hang. Probably a mile or less off the ocean, it's got that sleepy town attitude where fog chills the quiet air outside, and you get to kick back and recharge. They've got big, beautiful plants, a gorgeous passionfruit vine mural, and a deck outside to enjoy the bites and the breeze. I'm a fan of the color palette. Nice decor without going overboard or out of bounds, pillows to lean on, sunlight popping through to hit all the right spots. As far as I can tell, everything is made in-house. Even the coconut tortillas, which they sell separately if you want to get fancy at home. I'm a little sad I didn't try the walnut meat, or the durian smoothy. Durian? In smoothies? Normally worth a chuckle, but I bet Peace Pies handles it with care. The staff were cool folks, there to spread friendliness and care through soul-nourishing food and a place to unplug. Good food and a table to enjoy it are the ultimate display of welcome. I wish we could've stayed longer. A shame, when the daily grind drags us back when the heart wants to stay put. I would've lounged an hour or two on the patio. Maybe sipped a tea and tried one of those sweets in the cooler that couldn't stop looking at me. Closed my eyes, breathed deeply, and noshed 'til I could nosh no more. There's always next time... Well, at least I hope there is. Next time, it will have to be.

I ordered Thanksgiving meals ahead of time and to my surprise got way more than I was expecting. It was so gourmet! The service was great! They had it all ready when I got there. The place is beautiful & clean. Everyone loved the food. Thank you peace pies our two hour trip to get there was worth it!

Their patio is sooooo cute!! Everything here is so fresh, natural and delicious!! The employees are always so sweet and give great recommendations. They're also really cool about accommodations. One of my favorite new findings in Leucadia

Absolutely incredible place. The food is spectacular! Wish there were more places like this. You can order anything on the menu and easily be blown away. Highly recommend.

A friend told me about this place and was finally able to check it out. Slightly hidden, but super cute inside. I decided to try the quesadillas based on the reviews. The cashier was super sweet and helpful. Once I got home to try, my first few bites were good, but kept tasting something really sweet... at 1st I thought it may have been the cashew cheese, as I was skeptical about( not a fan of fake cheese) but it actually was really good, and not where the sweetness was coming from. After practically dissecting the quesadillas, I finally just called to ask. Turns out they make their tortillas using coconut and agave with the red bell peppers. Sadly if I had know that either were used in the making, I would've ordered something else. Besides, the extra sweet tortillas everything else was quite yummy. I will most likely be back to try something else.... But will just need to double check what all the ingredients are.

Absolutely the best place to eat if you want to feel good about what you put in your body, not to mention supporting a local business. Every item is served with loving care. My favorites are the chocolate shake, caeser wrap, caeser salad, buffalo falafel wrap and the Twix bar.

Food was delicious! Next time we will be trying other items on the menu! We can't wait to eat our samoa cookies and the hoostes cupcake!

I am soul-grateful Peace Pies is back in Leu! You feel the purity & wholesomeness of the business right when you walk through the doors. So many things I could highlight about the nourishing dishes - first off, each meal is presented colorfully & full of fresh living foods. You know exactly what you are getting, and the consistency is there every time. The menu is dynamic, offering healthy takes on popular dishes. Their seasonal and daily specials are not to be missed! I'm always surprised by how content I feel halfway through my meals, because the dishes are nutrient dense and filling. You feel the love transferred through each bite! Raw food absolutely is an acquired taste as it may be more earthy to those used to the traditional American diet. It's absolutely worth offering a try, especially to those seeking healthier lifestyle shifts, navigating chronic illness, or simply those who are foodies seeking a unique and grassroots experience. Some of my favorite menu items - nachos, mint chip smoothie, quesadilla, wraps, & the delicious desserts!

Omg !!!!! I had the luna tuna wrap !!! I cannot express how ridiculously delicious it was !! By far the best wrap I've had in my life, full of flavors, and so nutritious full of life, ugh soooo good and filling, it was big .. it's bittersweet that I live far, because I can't have it as much but I won't be spending all my money haha .. I believe this is by far one of my fave spots, I just need to try more stuff on the menu to confirm my belief .. and it's a really cute place decorated with plants, the menu is pretty too thank you l! Looking forward to coming back soon when I'm back in the area ! I went back the next day to before I left the area and had the mystical quesadilla, soooo delicious!!! However I do prefer the luna tuna wrap ... but still amazing food overall

What a special treat!!! We love PEACE PIES!!! Never had something that wasn't absolutely delicious! The Twix and butterfinger are highly recommended! Nachos and mango wrap are super good! Their kale chips are THE BEST! This location is peaceful and beautiful, with lovely deck! I highly recommend trying if you are considering raw vegan! It does not disappoint!

It was really good for someone who loves crunchy lettuce, which I do The green wrap paper tasted like corn! Unexpected but tasty! The atmosphere of the eatery is super cute and casual, parking could be a bit tricky though. I found parking in the adjacent neighborhood

I love this place!!! All fresh ingredients - everything is gluten free and vegan!!! The Luna wrap was amazing - I loved the dipping saw and the kale chips. I also ordered the chocolate cosmic pie and it was so decedent and delicious! I am so happy something this healthy is available in Leucadia - everything is vegan, gluten-free, no seed oils, and raw!

Literally can't believe I never written a review for peace pies!!!! This is my favorite restaurant in the world and I been to 50 now. So happy that they are back after rye horrible fire that burnt down the restaurant ! Anyhow Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla And if you love coconut... the coconut cream pie is to die for... Trust me! Just go eat the rainbow & feel like an unicorn after x Everything is so delicious made with love and super nutrient dense food. Basically eat delicious food for your health. Invest in your body!! Consistent quality. Always wonderful and happy people go there! I wish there are more peace pries all over CA. Please go support this amazing place and try something new! You will be amazedddd

First time visiting and 100% will be back!! The food was GREAT!! We ordered the street tacos, a nori nirvana, and a caesar wrap, along with some desserts and buffalo kale chips. For desserts, we ordered the homemade twix bar and rocky road cupcake. Didn't get photos of everything, but everything was DELICIOUS!! The rocky road cupcake was the only thing that got mixed reviews. The rest of the food was top notch! The employees were also extremely kind. As for the restaurant iteself, it's hidden in a corner so it's a bit hard to find, but worth it. The restaurant is gorgeous and has such relaxed vibe. Absolutely will try more there again! :)

Best raw food restaurant I've ever been to and I've tried a lot! Everything is gorgeous, tasty and healthy. The mint mylkshake is a must-try, as well as the Kelp & Kale salad and the Celestial Caesar wrap. All of the deserts are unbelievably good! Can't say enough good things!

The food is absolutely magical-fresh, scrumptious, healthy and artfully crafted. The new Encinitas location is gorgeous and we love the new deck, The staff are the best! Super friendly,kind and helpful. I would eat here everyday if I lived in the area but we make sure we eat here several times every time we're in SoCal. If you've never tried Peace Pies you have to give it a try!

Wonderfully tasty, healthy food. It's one of the only restaurants where you don't have to worry about what ingredients you're putting in your body. Otherwise it's hard to eat out when you are mindful of this. I'm so glad they're back in Encinitas!

Raw reality is delicious reality! So many items on the menu to try I had the Mediterranean wrap and it was so scrumptious and came with tasty. Tasty kale chips! Really friendly people and a great outdoor deck to sit and enjoy the day.

It has been rebuilt and is open again. Better than ever! Plenty of parking on the street too.

My family has been coming to Peace Pies for at least 15 years, there's no where in the world that makes/crafts such unique and real dishes. The staff is always so helpful, this was our first time to the new location and was amazed on how we instantly felt that same vibe that you only get at Peace Pies!! I don't know how they do it, the ingredients and the quality of this food is unbelievable!!!

Excellent quesadilla dish. The curry and buffalo wraps were good but not as flavorful as the quesadilla. The desserts of coffee toffee cheesecake was good but not enough coffee flavor for me. The key lime pie was decadent!!! Definitely returning to try their other dishes.

The lasagna was one of the best dishes I've ever had. So much flavor! So delicious! Thank you for putting out food that's so good!

Very nice location along the coast. The food was great, the portions sizable and the staff was very friendly. We have been back three times now and have tried a new dish each time (pizza, wrap & burger). Everything tastes really healthy and fresh. We also tried their chocolate cake for dessert which was amazing.

Waited nearly 30 mins for what ended up being a basic garden salad that was $20, with what looked to be grocery store conventionally grown vegetables. Staff was very friendly. Food was beyond mediocre.

This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in San Diego! The food is amazing and the customer service is excellent. The restaurant is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend them!

Stopped at Peace Pies for one main reason, to see JP Alfred from the East Coast. JP is kind and friendly. We enjoyed the street tacos and nori nirvana which we ended with cheesecake, coconut crème pie and a MUST TRY TWIX! this is a MUST if you're in Encinitas and looking for Raw & Vegan option, it is so worth it!! . We tried Peace Pies for the first time today, and were glad we did. The staff were very friendly and attentive, explaining the specials and giving us time to decide on our order. We don't usually eat raw food, but everything we ordered (the Bliss Burger, two wraps, and the Loving Lasagna) was fresh and flavorful. It was nice to have the option to eat indoors or outdoors, and the entire restaurant (including the restroom) was very clean and inviting. We'll be returning to try more of their menu.

I went before the fire with my daughter as part of her birthday treat to me. Great menu, good selection, helpful, courteous staff. I'm grateful they've reopened. Love the name and the concept of healthy, delicious foods.

So glad that Peace Pies is back up and running. The best raw vegan spot in San Diego. Unbelievable wraps and the cheesecake is amazing! It is such a cute spot too. As always, the people that work there are so kind and helpful when trying to decide what to order! We will continue to be returning customers!

I am NOT vegan, but I really love this place. Funny thing... you know how some people 'detox' after poor dietary choices with a 3-Day Juice Cleanse? My idea of a reset is going zero-carb/ full carnivore for three days. :) That said, my preferred eating plan is simply whole, real foods. If I eat vegan, it can't be processed, Beyond/Impossible anything crap. Give me the synergistic benefits from the enzymes, nutrients and vitamins in all the colorful dehydrated plants instead. On my recent visit, I was over the moon happy to learn Peace Pies has a recipe book out. It has the whole restaurant menu, plus the specials and more. The book is reasonably priced at 25$. I often spend that much on a single meal including dessert here anyway(I mean, with 'pie' in their name, how can I resist?!). Overall, while I look forward to trying recipes from my new book, I will continue to visit for "field research" as needed. I have a feeling it's going to take me awhile to perfect my coconut wrap-making skills at home.

Great spot for ample vegan dessert options. Had the chocolate mousse pie and Twix bar. Both rich and delicious.

Love the new place in Encinitas. The design of the store looks great and vibrant. All the workers are very nice and friendly. My favorite items are the avocado toast and Milkyway Mylkshake.

Over the years I've eaten at several raw vegan places. Peace Pies is THE best casual raw vegan food I've had yet in the Nation. Favorites are the Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla and Magical Mango Curry Wrap. You also must give any Special they have on their chalk board a try, I've never not liked one of their Specials. We regularly order their Thanksgiving meal and supplement that with a cooked vegan meal. Occasionally they offer brunch and if you get a chance to try that, it's one of our favorite meals at Peace Pies. If I've eaten vegan junk and my digestive system needs a break, the first place I head is to Peach Pies. I haven't tried the OB location yet, but it's on my list!

I stop here whenever I'm in the area and I'm always astounded - really good food! The Mystical Mushroom was phenomenal!

First time trying this vegan, organic, raw food restaurant - the menu is pretty extensive and there are lots of good options! A friend and I ordered two entrees to share - the Mystical Mushroom "Quesadilla" and "Tuna" Luna Wrap. Plates are about $14 each and are very generous portions. The Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla was amazing! Great flavor in the marinated raw mushrooms. Its healthy AND super tasty!! It's served with Guacamole and a few kale chips. I was less excited about the Tuna Luna wrap (also served with a few kale chips) - pretty good but not great. I'm excited to go back and try other menu selections. They have a good selection of raw desserts - cheesecake, pies and truffles. I didn't try any this time, but look forward to trying one next time. The staff is chill and friendly. Will be back!

The Strawberry Pie didn't even make it to the car. Whatever fruity-fresh flavor magic that was performed caused me to devour it in one sitting. I am not vegan but my sister in law is trying to be. We met up with one of her friends here because she is vegan. The kale chips were delicious, would definitely re-order again. The horchata milkshake did not taste like a normal horchata, it tasted like a banana milkshake. Prices were very expensive but I assumed it would be since everything is organic and raw material. The service was not good. The cashier seemed like he mentally was checked out, probably super stoned or something haha. I waited for almost 20 mins for my milkshake until asking for my order to find out they forgot about it. It's a small business tucked away behind another business. I was told they have quite a few favorites on their menus. Don't think I'd try any of it, but I'll go back for kale chips.

My favorite, fully raw spot! Super flavorful and yummy! Everything is made with so much attention to detail, lots of layers and flavors. The mushroom stroganoff was marinated nice and long so the kelp noodles were soft and saturated with the creamy sauce. I love how there was more than enough sauce covering the noodles. It felt so decadent and abundant. The strawberry pie was exactly what I was looking for. That fruit compote texture of strawberry and dates or rhubarb? In a date and nut crust. As someone who prepares raw vegan food and can get sick of the date and nut crust and cashew/coconut cheesecakes, I have to say that they stay on top with their variations. Typically I feel like I can just make everything myself, but their food is worth trying! The durian shake is also amazing! They let me try some of the extras and it was so delicious! The seating environment at both locations are just serene. It's a beautiful spot to just soak in the sun and indulge in your own presence. People are great, it's definitely one of those communities you go for~
