"The weekend dim sum service at this Hong Kong-style eatery sees carts stacked with bamboo and metal steamer baskets rolling out foods covering seemingly every taste and texture combination. Just some of the delights: pork and shrimp siu mai dumplings, chicken feet with black bean sauce, pan-fried turnip cakes, steamed egg custard buns and beef cheong fun. Offered Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A cartless dim sum service is offered weekdays during lunch service." - Faiyaz Kara

Our first time here and won’t be our last. We got some Dim Sum and an entree to get a variety of what they serve. Our server Linda was great and attentive. Tried chicken feet for the first time didn’t like it but I always try anything once, the General Tso chicken was good great flavor, all the other Dim Sum dishes were good. This place gets busy for dinner and a lot of take out orders while we were dining. We will be back again for more Dim Sum .

What a gem! I stumbled upon Dumpling House during Chinese New Year in 2023, and it was an unforgettable experience. The lion dancing added to the festive atmosphere, and the food was simply amazing. It was my first time in such a traditional dumpling house, and I was mesmerized by the ladies wheeling carts filled with fresh dumplings. The servers are incredibly polite and always take the time to explain the dishes. Despite its location on a busy road, the simple and quaint appearance of the place adds to its charm. Who needs extravagance when you have delicious food in a cozy setting like this?

Good dim sum in the Orlando area. Wide variety of choices. Especially enjoyed the steamed pork buns. Also, not on the dim sum menu, I really liked the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce.

I went here with my family to try some dimsum and expected authentic Cantonese Dim Sum, like they advertised, and I was greatly dissapointed. The moment we walked in the atmosphere of the place was uncomfortable, we heard that the place had a renovation but it seems it was a bad one. The energy of the place is very rushed and not very warm like a restaurant is supposed to be. The servers were very rude and seemed to serve a couple other customers first before serving certain customers. Regardless of order of arrival, as if the servers had some sort of personal bias. The manager of the place kept silently staring everyone down and making the dining experience worse. Normally places like this would ask if we wanted tea or anything to drink the moment we sit down. However, the table of two who came in after us were asked for their drink order and served Coke-Cola before my family were even offered a pot of tea. The service was already off to a bad start, but maybe the food will be redeeming. False. We ordered a myriad of dim sum dishes expecting good quality for the high price we were paying. (Compared to other dim sum restaurants in the area). At first, we were served both the Shrimp Rice Paste and the Beef Rice Paste. My family sampled the Shrimp Rice Paste first and to our surprise, IT WAS ICE COLD! This is a first for me, having ice cold dim sum. As if the food was precooked and taken out of the fridge! If the food was fresh and it had just been sitting on the table for a while, the center would still be hot at least. But it wasn't the entire dish was ice cold. We ended up asking the server to bring one of the dishes back inside to heat them up. When our server brought them back out, there was not much of a difference in temperature. We ordered Shrimp dumplings which came with four servings, 3 out of the 4 dumplings had leftover shrimp tails in them. Kudos to them, now I know they use real shrimp in their dumplings. On the other hand, this is just bad business practice. How am I supposed to know you prepared and cleaned the shrimp properly when you can't even be bothered to get rid of the tails. I have read a couple of other reviews where some customers have gotten sick from the food. How scary. Never in my experience in eating authentic cantonese dim sum have the shrimp dumplings (har gow) had shrimp tails in them. This is a first for me, especially when they mess up a classic dim sum dish. The crispy mixed dumplings were a fan-favorite of my daughter and we were also dissapointed by those. They were super oily and not crispy, usually crispy mixed dumplings are the perfect mix of golden brown fried sweet rice paste and savory meat filling. These were just a warm piece of under cooked pale rice paste with very little tasteless meat filling. We also got baked roast pork pie where there was no sign of roast pork and the pie part wasn't crispy and flaky. Nothing like a proper roast pork pie. The only redeeming thing they served to me was the Beef Ball on top of a bed of bean curd skin. The beef itself was very good and tender with good mouth feel, but the bean curd skin was chewy and overall inedible. The two don't match up at all. I really don't understand why the chef and staff would be so proud to serve these kinds of dishes, nor understand why they would advertise it so vehemently on their front door and fliers. 1/10 Experience. If you value your health and well-being don't come here. Save yourself some money and go find another place.

We have been coming here regularly for two years now and the quality and variety of dim sum has always been great. If you’re looking for traditional cart dim sum in Orlando, this is the place to be!

Fast, efficient, and delicious. Waited a bit in the beginning but it was Mother’s Day so we understood. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
The Dimsum menu does not have a huge selection, but the food we tried was very good. My only complaint was that the shrimp dumplings were a little dry. I ordered food from the kitchen also, which didn't disappoint. Overall, it is a very good restaurant with reasonable prices. I give them 2 👍👍

I have dined at Peters kitchen multiple times but this time I got some other options. I have favored the fried shrimp balls from other dim sum restaurants but after having them here, they definitely take the prize. They were absolutely delicious. Best I have had so far.

Yelp
This restaurant is an authentic Chinese restaurant. The owner just took over this restaurant this year. He has been in the Chinese restaurant business in Orlando for 20 years. Many of the Chinese restaurants he took over have been voted as the best Chinese restaurants in Orlando. If you want to find a restaurant to experience authentic Chinese food, or just taste dim sum, this is the place I would recommend you to go!

Yelp
Slappin and booty tappin. The Egg and Tomato dish is worth a visit as a standalone. I've would've been content just eating that during my visit. But of course I went in I had 3 types of dumpling from their dim sum menu and a beef haw fun plate as well. I began the experience with a pot of hot tea, to get the juices flowing. And flow they did. Service was speedy and friendly. Ambiance was 270 degree views of Colonial-sweet! But I'm here for the food. I never got around to visiting here when I lived in the area. Happy I finally made time. I left happy...

Yelp
So sad to write this...we've been loyal to Peter's for nearly a decade, but visited today as we traditionally do for Mother's Day and it was not the same. We went in at 1pm and every dish we got from the carts was lukewarm and cold quickly. "Soup" dumplings stuck to the bottom, no actual soup inside. Calamari was cold and soggy, sesame balls (not pictured) were dry and hard to eat. Pork buns had little filling and also dry and hard to eat (probably due to not being freshly steamed). Sliced pork was good, but couldn't finish since many pieces were tough from sitting around. There were several items I was used to getting that weren't offered: fried seafood dumplings and shrimp stuffed tofu. I understand it could be the time of day, but the one thing I enjoyed most and looked forward to when visiting Peters is "consistency". Even during Covid when all orders were to-go, everything tasted fresh. I hope this review is read by the new owners/management and changes are made. For years, when asked where's the best place for dim sum in Orlando, I would 100% of the time say Peter's. Now I don't know where to recommend. So sad!!

Yelp
We went there yesterday with my family from out of town RAVING about this place and their food. As stated in my previous review below, my husband and I were regulars here. But yesterday was something I never experienced here and quite frankly, I'm disgusted. First off, our server, an older Asian man with glasses was so incredibly rude I was taken aback. We really should have left at our first interaction with him. He acted as if we were an inconvenience and that he was so busy. He wasn't. We went for lunch on a weekday. When we asked for what we wanted he kept asking, is that all? Is that all? What else? We always order the salted pepper chicken wings with pork fried rice. When we asked if we could order that, he grabbed my menu, flipped it over and slammed it down in front of me. "Lunch special" is all he said. As if we were forced to order the lunch special if we weren't ordering dim sum (which we did). The lunch specials were DISGUSTING. Looked and tasted like old, mushy fried rice. Chicken wings looked reheated and had no flavor. The dim sum was not fresh. I agree with another reviewer that said the dumplings were stuck to the papers. My sister ordered the chicken feet and they were not good. At this point we spoke to a manager and my husband explained the situation politely. She apologized on the server's behalf and ended up comping the lunch specials we ordered and told us we would have another server finish us out. When she went to tell the server, he started YELLING at her in front of the whole restaurant. They went back and forth until he walked back into the kitchen. If the food doesn't shut Peter's Kitchen down, that server will single handedly put them out of business. He should not be working in ANY hospitality position.

Yelp
Peter's Kitchen is located in a standalone building and shares a parking lot with Burger King, so there's plenty of parking. The decor is standard Chinese restaurant vibe which is interesting since this place was completely remodeled when it opened. There's and old-fashioned fell with several large circular tables for groups and many smaller 2 or 4 person tables. Nothing exciting to look at but it's adequate. This restaurant is recently known for their dim sum. I'd have to say it's a better option than Lam's Garden, because their quality has gone way downhill in recent years. I've actually had dim sum at Peter's Kitchen twice since they opened and it's got some good and some mediocre items. I've also stopped in for their lunch, which is reasonably priced at $9.99 and comes with a soda. Dinner price point is a little higher than most Chinese restaurants. Service is usually hit or miss. Sometimes I'll get a seasoned staff member who is pretty efficient and quick, but the last few times I've been stuck with a new server. Although he's a nice guy, service was below par. I've had to wait for my entree while everything else was served. Not to mention you have to hail someone down if you need anything. I'm sure service will improve with time. Just make sure you check your check since they incorporated a new system so you may be charged for your sodas when it's included in the lunches. On this occasion, I had lunch with my sister. My favorite is the Shrimp with Chinese Vegetables. They are generous with the number of shrimps and it's seasoned well (whenever they don't forget to add a pinch of sugar). The rice is a bit dry so I drowned it with their hot chili oil so it worked out. My sister ordered the Chicken with Black Bean Sauce which she was disappointed. There's a slight charred taste to it that makes it bitter. In the past we tried the General Tso's Chicken but it tasted more like Sweet and Sour Chicken and not our favorite. For good General Tso's you need to go to He Sheng on University Blvd. I ordered the Fish Maw Soup. It was well seasoned and a good balance with the lunches, but for $14.50, it was quite smaller than I expected. A few other times I've tried other dishes, yet they were also hit or miss. All in all, I have a love-dislike relationship with this restaurant. I can say I like the flavors enough to return, but if I lived closer to Yummy House in Altamonte Springs, I'd much rather go there. I'd have to say some of their dish's are quite similar in flavoring which is why I'd return to Peter's Kitchen. If you're looking for affordable lunch and a step up from the fast food style Chinese fare, you should stop in to Peter's Kitchen.

Yelp
We love to come here for a Saturday or Sunday morning dim sum brunch. Get there a half hour at least to stand in line for a table. Lots of fun to go as a date or with a group. Think of it as Chinese tapas. Server's push rolling carts filled with hot containers filled with a variety of food items. You choose how many of anything you like in tiny steamers for the table. The server charges your ticket on the spot. Some carts are loaded with seafood, meat or just dessert. Your bill will depend on how many items you've chosen to eat. We all have our favorites. My husband loves the beef spare ribs, long rice noodles stuffed with shrimp, shrimp shumai, the crispy duck etc. Save room for dessert of pineapple stuffed rolls, sesame seed balls and custard mini pies.

Yelp
We've been to this restaurant before but don't remember if I've ever written a review before. Early Saturday evening we arrived with plenty of parking. Inside we were seated quickly but they were setting up for a big party so seating was limited. We were a party of 4 and ordered a variety of dim sum, chicken with black bean sauce, shrimp, rice, etc. Food was good and it came out fast. However the prices are a little high though. We would consider coming back here another time.

Chanh N.

Yelp
Peters kitchen is located on colonial drive and has become the best place in Orlando for dim sum. The staff is quick to serve your party and will even check to see if things, such as the pineapple buns, are available even though they're not on that day's menu. We came in around 3:30pm on a Sunday and ordered for a group of 7. Fun times we're had by our group as our orders came out. While the dim sum carts were done with at 3, they still served food made to order from the kitchen. We ordered the staples, shu mai, dumplings, taro balls, baos, everything was done to perfection. It's exactly what you would want from a Chinese restaurant. Staff was efficient and did the best they could My personal recommendation is to order the chicken feet. It's my all time favorite dish to order there

Grace R.

Yelp
We came for dinner thinking there would be dim sum carts, but was told they only do that at 3 pm. Oh well! We ordered a variety of dim sum off the menu and a beef chow fun (noodles). Everything was super tasty. We would come again!

Yelp
Peter's Kitchen is a fantastic spot! The dim sum is like a burst of yummy flavors - each bite is a tasty adventure. The friendly staff made the whole experience even better, always ready with a smile. From dumplings to buns, everything felt homemade with love. The service was quick and attentive, making sure we had the best time. The cozy atmosphere added a warm touch to the meal. If you're a dim sum enthusiast or just looking for a delightful dining experience, try this out!

Hideko M.

Yelp
Authentic dim sum. We enjoyed conversations with ladies who were pushing carts! Love to go back there with lots of friends.

Soukanya P.

Yelp
I would give zero stats if possible. I've been here in August and the food was impeccable. Four months later and the food is disgusting! Service was awful. The elder Asian man server forced us to order off the lunch menu. The dishes that came out were not what they're supposed to be as we've eaten here before many times. We told him and he was rude. We asked for the manager. She was receptive and spoke to our server in private. He then came out and was confrontational with us as his manager told him to go away and leave. He kept coming back to argue and his manager scolded him in Chinese. Eventually got a new server but our appetite was ruined. We left frustrated and hungry. They still charged us for the food that we didn't eat. Ambiance is a run down and casual. It needs a lot of updating and better management. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!!!!

Ut N.

Yelp
The restaurant was crowded as we walked in, presuming there might be a wait, but the hostess seated us immediately, which was a great start! The hot tea and waitress arrived at our table shortly, taking any orders from the main menu that weren't dim sum from the carts. The dim sum carts came to our table within a few minutes. We got the chicken feet, siu mai, beef tripe, and hả cau from the hot dim sum cart. The other dishes, which included Chinese broccoli and shrimp stuffed in tofu, can be skipped if I do try the restaurant again. There was a strand of hair in my shrimp stuff tofu, and I informed the waitress, and she took it away and replaced it with a hot, freshly made one. The noise level in the restaurant was a bit noisy due to seating so close together, and the restaurant was small.

Chantel H.

Yelp
The food here is very average and incredibly small portions for the pricing. I know dim sum is literally small portions but even ordering off the regular items for $16 is not even enough food for a side for one person. Exorbitant prices for the food + atmosphere. Best part of the experience was our server who was able to let me know if things were vegetarian or not. But otherwise, a skip for me.

cassandra _.

Yelp
We get the same thing when we go the pork stick buns and pot stickers. So good!!! The service is quick and convenient. I just hate that they close so early. You know when that late night craving hits.

Deanna H.

Yelp
Good place, but the shrimp paste is too thick compared to a lot of others I've had in the past. Everything else is good, especially the shrimp balls. Big fan of their dimsum.

Alexis L.

Yelp
My family and I have been coming to Peter's Kitchen here for years. They are great sometimes but when their terrible my oh my is it absolutely terrible. As a reference point for non-locals Peters Kitchen at one point in time used to be the only push cart dim sum north of restaurant row. I would even go as far to say that in 2018 they were the best of the best. Over the years Peters Kitchen has always had a policy of your entire party being present before you are seated. The past year they have been noticeably flexible with their regulars who somehow don't need to abide by that rule but also get sat before anyone else. The overall quality of their dishes can be hit or miss as well. Some days their order of snow pea tips are perfect and other times it's wilted down soggy pieces. Same goes for their dim sum. One day their baked Cha Sui Bao is fluffy and soft and other dark black and dry. Our family was in town for Chinese New Year. With our schedules being jammed pack the holiday snuck up on us. We had a party of 9. I know what your thinking big parties never do well. However something that should be noted is a true Chinese meal is always served communally so large dishes are common and large parties are expected. It's just most people like the novelty of the push carts so menu items are typically not ordered. Our family intended on ordering several dishes primarily whole duck which signifies bringing in the New Year whole. The trouble started again with the seating. A family that was waiting for the rest of their party got sat at the ten top and there was only four people present. We specifically waited to checkin until our whole party was there adhering to their rule. We overlooked it and waited patiently as the next ten top was only had to be cleared. We ordered several dishes. That came out one at a time. Yup. We literally had to take one bite of a dish than wait. This went on for an full hour with each dish being brought out one at a time. After waiting with no food for thirty minutes the server came to us and said that they ran out of duck. One of the toughest parts of being a restaurant is being consistent. Consistency defines the customers expectation when they arrive. If you need a dim sum spot that you are trying to enjoy with guest I would avoid Peters Kitchen. However if your not that hungry and just want descent food at a great price this is your spot!

Howard S.

Yelp
New menu. Menu and. servers. Both very good including Larry our server who was attentive and polite. Shrimp dumplings ( Har Gow) five star as last time. Packed with shrimp that tasted great. Shrimp chive dumplings not good. Inside mushy. They should go back to old recipe. . When requested got Chinese mustard, duck sauce and dumpling sauce all excellent. Table had fresh Chinese hot sauce on table in clean jar. New men item egg rolls. Best we have had in Orlando. Nice and crisp with lots of stuff in it. Hot and sour soup great. Just enough spice and lots of veggies including ginger. Lunch specials good deal T $9.95 include the water for tonight soup, spring roll and rice. Mixed vegetables dish good. Chicken in black bean sauce not so good. Chicken over cooked and too oily. Black beans cooked perfectly. Jasmin tea excellent.

Joy J.

Yelp
The dim sum here has gone down hill. There were times the dim sum tasted spoiled. YH Seafood Clubhouse at Dr Phillips is where its at for the BEST DIM SUM. Top Chef Hung has been spotted eating there (YH SEAFOOD) at the bar area a few times and he has posted it on Instagram. The portions here for even dishes are not as much anymore. It is still a good spot for chinese eats but for dishes I go to Green House (Beef chow fun they cook it good here) on OBT or YH Seafood Clubhouse nowadays.

Yelp
I was excited to try Peter's kitchen as it has been recommended by friends. The building is a little older and restaurant was pretty busy on Sunday. They have dim sum available on Saturday and Sunday, delivered by cart. We were seated after a short wait and the staff promptly wheeled the Dim Sum cart by. Really enjoyed the fried pork dumplings and the fried shrimp balls. We ordered house special fried rice and the appetizer portion of Hong Kong duck. The duck was great but cold despite it being "freshly made" for us. We also had the Pork Belly from the Dim Sum cart with part of it being so over cooked it was inedible. Overall the temperature of all our dishes were just warm. I don't think we will be back, there are plenty of other great restaurants in the area.

Robert H.

Yelp
SCALLION PANCAKES: 2 STARS Meh SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN: 3 STARS Slightly overcooked. SESAME CHICKEN: 2.5 STARS Tough and dry. Not moist Not able to be cut with the side if the fork. VALUE: 4 STARS The meat entrees with veggie or white rice, and a soda, were only ten bucks on the lunch special. So is the sesame chicken always like chewy Jerky, I can't say, but it was the time I dined here.

Phil M.

Yelp
I think this place was sold. Menu is different and the food was terrible. This was my favorite Chinese restaurant in Orlando.

Darapuneni M.

Yelp
It was our first visit. Ordered chicken corn soup. It was ok. Felt like chicken was little hard and soup is thick. Loved the kung pao and fried rice.

Tommy T.

Yelp
Our go to for DIM SUM. This place gets busy, especially on weekends. There's usually always a group waiting at the door before they even open. Food is always super fresh and tasty. Service is on point as well.

Shawn G.

Yelp
Last month a reviewer commented "Good news! Peters Kitchen was sold and is under new management!". I do not at all share the excitement or joy of this revelation. We have eaten here hundreds of times since we moved back to Orlando and shortly after, Peters Kitchen was originally opened by the Leung family after parting ways with Ming Bistro. It was hands down a reliable and delicious affair every time and even if they were extremely busy the food made it worth the wait. Today, we ordered chicken pan-fried noodles, our favorite pork fried rice, and half a dozen of our favorite dim sum dishes. To be blunt, the quality and the taste are a significant downgrade from before. Our chicken pan-fried noodles came out with a notably thinner sauce that didn't stick to the crunchy noodles at all and to top it off the sauce tasted mostly of ginger and little else. The chicken portion was a little lacking, as well. The pork steam buns filling did not have as much flavor and they remind me a lot of the cheap buns that come frozen and reheated. The pan-fried dumplings were much larger than usual and had a generous amount of filling. Even the legendary pork fried rice was not as good as usual, though I will say it was one of the better things we ate today. The pork pieces in the fried rice were very dry but they had more flavor than anything else we ate. The custard tarts used to be the highlight of our visit with their delightfully flakey crusts and perfectly tart custard filling made by hand. Now they taste reheated and flavorless. Overall everything was just....okay. It seems to be a watered-down version of what Peters Kitchen once was. I'm 100% willing to give them another chance as I didn't discover the ownership changed until after we left. Hopefully, they make improvements to their menu. The upside to our visit was that we had two friendly and attentive servers take care of us today and were pleasant and accommodating. Please make sure they know they were appreciated.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Peter's for quite some time. We decided to order delivery from them via Uber Eats. We got some pork dumpling, General Tso's chicken, and chicken pan fried noodles. The food came quickly and we tried the dumplings first which were really tasty and well prepared. The General Tso's was probably my favorite I've tried in town. It wasn't overly sweet or overly battered like a lot of spots and actually had a pleasant kick of spiciness that can be lacking at some places. My boyfriend was hoping to order with fried rice instead of steamed so we could try that too, but it wasn't an option on Uber Eats. Not sure if it is for dine in. I also enjoyed the pan fried noodles. They packed the noodles separately from the sauce which was nice since it didn't get soggy and the noodles become a great consistency when all mixed together. Overall, this is definitely a spot I will try again and I definitely want to go in person to try their dim sum options!

Erlinda J.

Yelp
I always enjoy a Peter's KCB dinner run. I've never sat down to eat, I order pickup. I plan to dine in one day for the Dim Sum. Now, there's only ever been an issue with pickup ONCE when they were short staffed. That's understandable. The food was still AMAZING! It's the best Chinese in Orlando! We had some when my sister came to visit from California and she loved it! She still talks about it to this day! Needless to say, we're regulars! Our family order consists of: -House Fried Rice -Beef Lo Mein -Salt n Pepper Shrimp -Salt n Pepper Wings -Honey Garlic Chicken

Cynthia F.

Yelp
ONE WORD: Dumplings Pros: HUGE dumplings Clean restrooms Great customer care Delicious Chinese broccoli and scallions The beef and chicken were a + Cons: My belly wasn't big enough to eat it all

Anibal O.

Yelp
I've been going here for a good while and surprised I haven't reviewed it. It's a great place to eat and the food in my opinion has been better than some of its competition for dim sum. Seemed clean and the service was quick, which tge times I go alone it's so quick I get this feeling they want me to hurry up and leave.... That's my only pet peeve about the place. But I would highly recommend to go it's good food and on the weekends they tend to get busy

Robert W.

Yelp
Very popular, clean efficient Best dim sum in Orlando. Anytime I'm in town we stop in and are never disappointed.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Arrived shortly after it opened, there was already quite a line waiting. We were quoted 40 mins, but was taken in in less than 30. This place is on the small side. Service was great. They were attentive. Our server had a fun sense of humor. Custard tart - good. Sweetness was just right. Pastry shell was flaky. 5 stars Taro pork stuffed fried pastry - the crisp outer shell was fried to perfection. The pork center could have used a bit more seasoning. 4 stars Pork and shrimp shumai - texture was right. Needed a bit more seasoning. 3 stars Foong jow (chicken feet) - soft. Taste was Ok. 3 stars. Felt like it needed more flavoring. Mochi rice wrapped in banana leaf - good. Rice texture was on point. Some items inside the mochi rice were interesting. Never had one with duck egg in it before. It was good. 4 stars. Shrimp and chive dumpling - needed better seasoning. The taste of this one was ok-ish, edible. Didn't taste bad. Just didn't care for it. I've had better ones. 2 stars. Daikon/radish cake - texture of the cake itself was good. There were decernable chunks of daikon in it that I liked. But it was quite bland. It needed maybe some more bits of char siu in it. 3 stars. Salt and pepper fried chicken wings - fried beautifully. It was tossed in a garlic/diced jalapeño/scallion mixed that was sauteed. It was good. 4 stars. Salt and pepper fried pork spare ribs - I found this one interesting. Every other Chinese restaurant I have been to, they use pork chops. They use spare ribs here. Like the other fried items, it was fried well. This too was tossed in the sauteed garlic/diced jalapeño/scallion mixture. 4 stars. Beef chow fun (dry) - this was good, but not the best I've had. They have good "wok hey" for their stir fried dishes.. There was a lot of bean spouts in it. 4 stars. House fried rice - basically the everything fried rice bc you couldn't decide on if you wanted shrimp, chicken or pork. It was ok. Needed something. 3 stars. It's a thing of mine to try dim sum everywhere I travel. The service somewhat makes up for somewhat lacking of flavor here. Overall, this place is OK. This one doesn't go on my must go tos if I'm back in Orlando. I loved the service. Most items were good, but none of them wowed. Which is a bummer. Dim sum places are scarce here. So this may be as good as it gets. But was the only one I tried while in Orlando.

Nadia R.

Yelp
Peter's Kitchen China Bistro is a true Orlando must-do. It's especially great for groups so that you can get a great selection of the sharable dim sum options. Since discovering Peter's it has been a go to for us whenever we're visiting Orlando, when we want a dim sum fix and especially when family and friends are gathering because the food and service is always great. The restaurant itself is simple and functional but boy the food can hardly be described as simple. Love all their food but some that are always our go-tos are the shrimp dumplings, pan fried pork dumplings, baked stuffed pork buns, steamed buns, eggplant stuffed with shrimp, stuffed jalapeño and the sesame balls. You will not regret trying this feast!

Yelp
I brought my fiancée family here on a Sunday for dim sum. We tried almost every kind of dim sum they had available and I happy it was all steaming hot. The restaurant uses metal containers vs the traditional baskets however it seems to hold the heat better. We also ordered the beef & broccoli as well as the chicken lo main. I was impressed by the beef, it was so tender and seasoned perfectly. Overall the food was delicious, it was hot and it wasn't a bad price either. The only downside was the level of service. Although the staff was busy, certain tables seem to get more attention than others and the staff wasn't very friendly at all.

Yelp
Peter's Kitchen for Dim Sum is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Siumai and Pineapple buns. If you're a foodie like me, you'll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of dishes, and we loved everything we tried. We only had good comments about the food. I can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
On our way to our shopping destination we passed Peter's Kitchen, we have been here before and really enjoyed the food, so we decided this was our lunch spot. The food was so amazing, fresh and delicious. We had the curry chicken and kung pao shrimp. Both dishes perfect seasoned and cooked to perfection. We plan on returning for dim sum soon.

Yelp
We've been here too many times to count. If you're looking for some good dim sum, this is your place. The food is always fresh and delicious. Orders are accurate. The service is quick and always friendly. I recommend getting the hot tea with your meal. There's just something about hot tea and dim sum...they go together. The best time to go is in Saturdays and Sundays before 3 because the full dim sum menu is available. After 3, some items are no longer made (see photo). If you're new to dim sum, I recommend trying as many different things as you can. I have yet to try something that I haven't liked. The egg custard bun is probably one of my favorite things on the menu. It's sweet and fluffy and just oh so good!!

Yelp
Great authentic food at a great price and nice service! Will definitely go back-no complaints at all.

Yelp
This restaurant has been a staple authentic Chinese restaurant for me and my family for several years. The quality of the food is amazing, and the dim sum is delicious! The only thing that I noticed after not coming for awhile is that their portions are smaller and the prices are already on the higher end. Still very delicious and worth a visit.

Yelp
I have been hearing about this place for quite some time now. Some of the best Chinese food in town. A place popular for its dim sum menu. I am ashamed that it took me so long to get here, but hey, Orlando is just so jam packed full of good food. But I was able to make it in, and I went crazy. Ok, I didn't go too crazy, but we definitely ordered more than we normally would. That dim sum menu was just so delicious looking. I wish they sold a massive flight of one of each thing. I have never encountered a menu like that yet, so I asked for some recommendations from our super nice server. Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai. Classic. You see this replicated at most Asian buffets, and with good reason. Very soft and moist with a satisfyingly mix of meats in the middle. Well seasoned. Baked Roast Pork Bun. Crazy delicious. My favorite thing I had. A Ridiculously soft bun with amazing pork awaiting inside. So light and fluffy that I could probably eat a dozen of them no problem. Fried Shrimp Balls. A very dense ball of shrimp with fried, crispy wisps of magic. They look like little shrimp comets. This was definitely not light or fluffy, but it was delicious. I recommend. Turnip Cake With XO Sauce. This one really took me by surprise. I can't even describe the XO sauce. If anyone knows that it is, please DM me and let me know. But it was light and salty and really paired well with the fun little bite-sized squares of turnip mush. Like a turnip hush puppy, kind of. Very good. Pan-Fried Shrimp Stuffed Eggplant. This one was not my cup of tea, but if you like eggplant, this will be your cup of tea. Very eggplanty, with that shrimp ball shrimp packed in there. Visually striking. Very moist. Overall, wow! This place was a lot of fun. Like I said, never been to a place quite like it before, and now that I've been, I can't think about anything else. I want to go back, I need to go back.

Yelp
Finally... took forever to find good Chinese in the area. We ordered Garlic Honey Chicken, Fried Rice and Scallion Pancakes all were wonderful. The Pork Dumplings would have been amazing had they made it to the table hot but they were warm. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is the services. We had no idea who our waiter was and it took us flagging people down to get served but if that's what I must do to finally have tasty Chinese food then so be it. Already planning my next visit for takeout.

Yelp
Short review since I've done a few here already. You want Dim Sum? This is THE place in Orlando to get it. What did we get? Sesame seed Balls, Stuffed Eggplant, Soup Dumplings, Shrimp Dumplings, Egg buns, and Shrimp Rice Noodle. Main dishes: Beef Chow Fan, Crispy Pan Fried Noodle with Beef, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and a bowl of White Rice. With all that food, we ate everything and took a small to-go-box. So with that being said... It's good. The line here is out the door, especially when they open at 11:00 a.m. Get here early. 5 stars again...

Yelp
My last review was during Covid closure. I feel like this review is no longer relevant! :) (Dim sum should always be eatin' fresh and on site anyway!) Since this review, I have been able to physically have a meal inside and I can say without a doubt the food and service were great. However, if you do plan on going during the weekend I suggest going right when they open or after the mid morning dim sum rush. The wait can be kinda long. The staff are friendly and helpful if you don't know what to choose for dim sum. I would recommend if you haven't tried!

Yelp
Good spot to satisfy a dim sum craving! They serve dim sum by order on weekdays vs. coming around with push carts on the weekends. The exterior of the building and the parking lot may look dated, but the inside of the restaurant is not too shabby. I've been here several times, and some of the dishes can be hit or miss, but on average, I would say the food tastes good. This time around, the beef chow fun tasted great. It was full of flavor and wok hei, but I would've liked to see more meat and green onions. The dim sum was decent. I enjoyed the shrimp rice paste and the fried turnip cake. The stuffed bean curd skin was a bit dry. I would say Peter's is still a good place to get dim sum or chinese entrées, worth a try if you've never been. Service is pretty average. The waiters just swing by as needed, and you might need to get their attention for the check or more tea, which is typical for Chinese restaurants.

Yelp
Place is great for dim sum! Place gets busy! We got there about 5 min before they opened on Saturday and there was a line already. We were seated promptly and the staff is very friendly, we got some hot tea and the dim sum carts starts to come out! Some are on trays and some are on carts. Lots of good items. As you pick the items you want they will stamp them on your card. Everything we had was delicious, my favorites was the soup dumplings and the sticky rice!! Place is clean and spacious. Can't wait to return. Weekends they have carts, weekdays you order off the menu.

Yelp
I had super high hopes seeing all the high reviews. Unfortunately I either came in on an "off" day they were having or my taste buds are broken lol. The location used to be a fazolis way way back in the day. The area is a little worn down and the outside of the place doesn't look as the inside does as you would think. The inside was really nice, clean and bigger than I expected it to be. I called my order and the lady was friendly enough on the phone and quoted me 20 mins which I dont think it even took that long maybe 10 -15 and my order was ready so that was a huge plus being I was on my lunch break. I ordered the general tso lunch and the pepper steak lunch. One I opted for fried rice and one white. Lunch's come with a can beverage. I also ordered 2 veggie spring rolls. The general tso chicken was very soggy/chewy for some reason and it came out what appeared to be fresh so I'm not sure why that was. The pepper steak just tasted odd the veggies were fresh and crisp but the beef was just amiss. Almost too tender like. Both the white and fried rice were over cooked to my liking. The veggie spring rolls were ok they were very greasy and one had way less filling than the other but they were crispy which is what you want from a spring roll. I will say my favorite part is probably their to go containers, they are good quality and I like weird things like that from a place lol. Overall would I go again? Probably not but everyone's taste are different so they may have had just an off day

Yelp
Had a great experience here at Peter's Kitchen. I hear that this place has been around for ages so I had to stop by while I was in town and I was not disappointed. The building itself is quite dated, inside and out, but I'm there for the dim sum. It wasn't too busy as we arrived around 11:30 on Saturday, no line, walked right in and seated immediately. There were 2 carts, one for steamed dishes and the other for fried and/or dry dishes. Plenty of variety and more made to order dishes. Quality was great overall, better than the dim sum that's local to me. The staff was super friendly and was always checking on us which made the experience even better. We had a great experience overall and would definitely return again.

Yelp
Dim sum joint which usually has a wait to get seated on the weekends. Pretty typical dim sum fare with the staff coming around with the food carts. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly.

Yelp
We tried coming here before and the wait to get in was too long for us so we thought to give it another try and come right when they open. It seems like this was the better option as we got straight in, but it had already started filling up. The food came around fast and hot in the trolleys, and the ladies pushing them around actually could speak english unlike some other dim sum places where they couldn't tell you what was in their cart. We might have over ordered for 2 people. It does add up and get a bit pricey for 2 people. Our server was very friendly and attentive, he even joked with us at the end about my partner needing to foot the bill. Great place to eat with a bigger group so you can try lots of different dishes.

Yelp
Great service! Ask for Joyce. The food was delicious Loved the big round table with lazy susan for our group and the selection for the dim sum carts. All around good food, service and ambience!
