"The trattoria now has two locations: one in South Park and another in Del Sur. Pastas are made fresh every day except for the dry pasta shapes (spaghetti and penne). Highlights include seafood salad, lasagna al pesto, tagliatelle with chicken in a vodka sauce, and desserts like tiramisu and cannoli. With its easy cafe atmosphere and accessibility during lunchtime (the mid-day menu ends at 2:45 p.m.), this makes as good of a daytime spot as it does a destination for dinner." - Helen I. "At Piacere Mio, you can actually design your own pasta dish. So when you’re not really in the mood to cook a meal at home for two, but you still want to feel like you contributed to it, this is the place to go." - Grace Cassidy

After spending a big chunk of time in Italy we are pretty picky with Italian food in the US though this place feels and tastes very authentic! The staff is extremely attentive and we were seated right away ( we did have reservations on a Sunday night) though it wasn't that packed. We had mussels, minestrone and seafood pasta. We shared it and it was awesome that they split it for us at no charge. At the end they surprised us with complimentary dessert for our anniversary ( we mentioned it in the reservation). Great price for the service and food you get. Definitely want to come back and taste other things Free street parking

We came on a Sunday at 5 pm with no reservations, but we called 20 minutes before to make sure they would take us. The food was great! They also have gluten-free pasta. The ceaser salad was really good. The tiramissu was also good and not too sweet. The prices were not bad compared to other Italian places nearby that are reservations only. The customer service was really great! We will definitely return!

The food is great. I had lobster ravioli. It is very filling. But my favorite is the appetizer with octopus. They have free off street parking lot at back of the restaurant.

Google
A charming little Italian restaurant tucked in a cozy corner, seemingly family-owned with a warm, energetic welcome from the staff. The food was incredible! I tried the orecchiette con salsiccia, a dish I hadn’t heard of before. The flavors were fantastic, though it leaned slightly on the salty side. That said, it was absolutely AMAZING, and I’d definitely come back!

Google
Excellent service and interesting menu. Swordfish and chicken Alfredo could not have been made better. Reasonable wine prices and wonderful dry italian white wine recommended by the waiter. Too bad we dont have a similar authentic italian restaurant in my neighborhood.

Google
Consistently great Italian food. Strongly recommend the polpo e patate and the mushroom + beef ravioli, but everything is pretty solid here, including the wait staff.

Google
Great neighborhood spot for Italian food. Wide menu. Great friendly quick service. Super value and quality. Ask for server recommendations- home runs: artichoke special, carbonara, ravioli with mushroom sauce and orechetti. Corkage allowed $18/bottle. It’s popular so reserve ahead. It’s a little noisy because everyone is having a great time.

During our recent visit to Pisces Mio, we were thoroughly impressed by the quality and variety of their pasta dishes. I opted to create my own pasta, choosing the arrabbiata sauce with chicken—a combination that resulted in a flavorful and satisfying meal. My children were equally pleased with their meatballs and pasta, noting the tenderness and rich taste of the meatballs. We also shared the seafood pasta, which was generously filled with fresh seafood, exceeding our expectations. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service attentive, making for a memorable dining experience. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu.

Yelp
I had a great time last night with my friends for Christmas dinner. I made a mistake on my order, and they promptly offered to replace it. Everyone was very nice, the food was perfect. I also got a free desert. what? how sweet is this? The place is very cozy, and we feel home. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
I took my wife here for date night, and we were both blown away by the great service and amazing food. Everything tasted very fresh and was executed perfectly. The portion sizes were pretty big and the prices were reasonable. We both reccomend this place and are eager to go back for more.

Yelp
I hardly go to Italian restaurants because I find that a lot of the time it's pricey for alright tasting food but Piacere Mio has changed it for me! The pasta dishes are well portioned and very tasty. We got the squid ink seafood pasta, linguine with a clams, salmon ravioli, and orecchiette with sausage. My favorite was definitely the squid ink seafood pasta! The noodles have a good chew and bounce and they have a TON of seafood! All the dishes were good but the squid ink was definitely my favorite. Service was on point with friendly and attentive staff as well. I'm excited to come back and try their other pasta dishes!

Julie R.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. This is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego! My favorite thing here is the spaghetti carbonara, but I also love the mushroom ravioli. The bruschetta and the carpaccio are also must orders! I've also tried and loved the sausage orecchiette pasta. I can't believe how reasonable the prices are for how delicious the food is. My favorite thing is to DoorDash all of this and eat little bits of everything for dinner for like three days in a row because portions are amazing! Except the carpaccio, ha -- I eat that all on night one. I've never been in person, so I can't speak to the ambience. If there were one critique I would give (and honestly I hate to even nitpick because again, this is like my favorite spot), it's that their bread isn't that great. I know it's not authentic, but I always really wish they had garlic bread you could order. Or even just another type than the half loaf they send which I find a little lacking in flavor or softness even for sopping. That being said, Piacere Mio will always have my heart.

Brian P.

Yelp
This Italian restaurant was exceptional! The atmosphere was intimate yet elegant, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable meal. The pasta carbonara was perfectly creamy and flavorful, while the chef's special, lobster fettuccine with vodka cream sauce, was absolutely to die for.The lobstertails was tender and fresh, and the sauce was rich and decadent without being overpowering. Every bite was a masterpiece, and the service only added to the experience. Highly recommend

Michael L.

Yelp
WOW! This one was also on the list of Italian spots that I bookmarked to try in San Diego. Safe to say this blew every single other spot in the city out of the water in my opinion. Cesarina, Illando, Siamo Napoli, Lucrezia and others, sorry to say, this is the reigning King of Italian Food in San Diego for me personally. The owner/head of house Salvatore was very friendly and eager to serve. We ordered: -Taglierini Neri ai Frutti di Mare -Gnocchi alla Sorrentina -Cioppino -Stinco di Agnello -Tiramisu All of the dishes were executed basically perfectly with the exception of the cioppino which had a little too much white wine in the sauce but who knows maybe the chef was having a little too much fun. As any Italian will tell you, the wine is good enough to cook with if and only if it is good enough to drink! Loved the Taglierini Neri in particular, it's not everyday you find a good squid ink pasta at an Italian restaurant. The Tiramisu was slightly Americanized in presentation with chocolate drizzle, blueberries and mint, but was by far the best Tiramisu I have had (and I have tried several dozen Italian establishments across various different locales at this point). Just the right amount of sweetness, perfect amount of espresso and liquor soaking sauce, and zabaglione so well made it felt like a chewable creamy cloud in the mouth. If they opened up a pastry shop on the side and just sold that Tiramisu in a more classic Italian presentation it would probably also get 5 stars on Yelp, that's how good it was. A presto, arrivederci!

Yelp
One of the best kept secrets on San Diego! I kid you not, this place serves the best Italian food in town. I ordered their lasagna, and I devoured every bite. I dream about their lasagna. Their servers are all so kind and friendly, which helps you feel more comfortable. It's located in the heart of South Park, so street parking only! This place is amazing and you really can't go wrong with anything you order.

Yelp
Ravioli Di Melanzane, Calamari Fritti, Orecchiette Con Salsiccia, Raviolo Di Melanzane- Pasta Special Of The Day, Blood Orange Pelegrino

Han L.

Yelp
It was okay. The pasta noodles were okay and the sauces were underwhelming. Bread is okay. Nice.

Joo Yeon Y.

Yelp
Deliziosa! As that's the only Italian I know - you get the point that this place should be on your to-go list if you are in San Diego :) You will get the full Italian experience with utmost polite service! It definitely has a romantic element so if you are looking for a date spot, it would be perfect! RECOMMEND * Calamari Fritti * Ravioli di Melanzane

Yelp
We have been here a few times but I always forgot to post a review. Well, this time I did not forget. We went last week for lunch and it was just as good as it always is. It wasn't very busy so we sat, ate and paid within 35/40 minutes. We ordered the artichoke appetizer, mushroom ravioli and I ordered the special seafood fettuccini in a vodka sauce. The artichokes were super tasty but they were drenched in a bit too much butter or olive oil. The parmesan shavings were great and the nuttiness offset some of the rich butter. My husband loved his ravioli and cleaned his plate. My fettuccini was very good as well. Tons of seafood which was nice. As you can see the portions are very generous. I had my meal for the next 2 days! This restaurant is a staple and you can always get good food and service. It is cute inside too and has a patio. Well worth it.

Jasmine N.

Yelp
For true, classic and delicious Italian food this is the place to go. Plenty of street parking and the venue is well decorated. Me and my boyfriend were well taken care of with extra complimentary bread, parmigiana cheese, and everything else we needed. We both ordered our favorites, carbonara. AMAZING. Portions were generous and service was everything we could ask for. This was our second day back and it definitely won't be our last.

Taylor C.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with Piacere Mío. It has a very intimate ambience, great for date nights or catching up with friends and they have an amazing singer for birthdays. The best part though is the fresh pasta. I am a sucker for fresh, quality pasta and this place knows what they are doing. I don't think I've ever had a regular menu item because every night they have specials that you can't pass up!

Rachel P.

Yelp
This is one of the few restaurants in the area that stays open later during the week, and the packed house definitely shows its popularity! We were starving and thrilled to find a spot that was open and just a short walk away (right across from the Target shopping center). We started with the fresh complimentary house bread, which was a nice touch. For my entrée, I had the 'Petto Di Pollo Al Limone E Capperi,' and it was absolutely delicious--especially paired with a glass of Chianti. A great find for an Italian meal!

Avneet P.

Yelp
Service was quick and really good! They were friendly and attentive Table bread was really good and simple I got the carbonara and it was a little dry but overall pretty good! (Hence the 4 stars) Overall cute place and would come back!

Kaitlin M.

Yelp
I'm so glad I ended up here tonight. I was craving pasta and a red wine, and that's exactly what I got and then some! The service is phenomenal, which is such an achievement these days. The ambiance is great. And the food was excellent, which doesn't surprise me given Piacere Mio is owned by two Italians. Side note: can we get an applause for the fact a generous glass of wine is $10 here? So darn refreshing. I'm tired of paying 2x that at other restaurants. Would def come back again. Especially if Clemente (who has been here for 9 years, a true testament to this place) is my waiter again!

Katherine K.

Yelp
Came here for a friend's birthday and I was really happy with this place! Parking wasn't that bad, although I did have to park a few blocks away. They gave us fresh bread and a olive oil/vinegar mix (I asked for just olive oil). We started with the Calamari Fritti and the Polpo E Patate (octopus and potatoes). The calamari was a little better than your average calamari. I think it had a nice amount of breading on it, but not too much where it was all you could taste. The shrimp was a really nice addition as well. But the octopus was absolutely amazing! It was a fantastic combination with the potatoes and I wish I couldn't eaten the entire thing myself without sharing with the rest of the group. Packed with flavor with the pesto sauce. I decided to try veal for the first time and got the Saltimbocca Alla Romana, but instead of the potatoes and vegetables, I got the creamy saffron risotto instead. Unfortunately, the risotto was horrendous. It was bland and rubbery and you couldn't taste the saffron at all. The staff was nice enough to get me a small order of spaghetti to replace the risotto, but I wished I had just gotten the potatoes and vegetables instead. Thankfully, the veal was amazing and made up for it. If all veal tastes as good as theirs, then I am definitely a fan now!

Yelp
This might be the first time Yelp steered me wrong. This spot has so many great reviews and I honestly don't see how. The best part of our dinner was our super friendly server, but other than that this was a complete swing and miss. Food: The first red flag was when I ordered an iced tea and was served a plastic bottle instead of freshly brewed. The second red flag was the bread that was incredibly dry. We ordered the ricotta stuffed eggplant as an appetizer and this was the best food item we ate. For entrees I had a tagliatelle alla vodka con pollo and my husband had the chicken Parmesan. The vodka sauce was really off. I don't know what was missing, but this was hot vodka sauce like I know. The other oddity of this dish was the Kalamata olives in it. There also wasn't much chicken and the homemade pasta was also off. The chicken parm was super thin, overcooked, and salty. My husband also said there was something weird about the pasta, but we. Plant pinpoint it. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I had a reservation and we were seated outside, even though there was ample open tables inside. They have a narrow patio for outdoor seating, but it is right across from target and the street which was a bit loud. Street parking was not hard to find. Unfortunately, I would not recommend or return here.

Ryan M.

Yelp
4.5 stars Came here early evening as they opened because I hear it can get busy and then parking starts to get harder. We had a reservation just to be sure. There were options to create your own pasta dish by choosing a pasta shape and sauce. Instead I went with one of their composed pasta dishes; Ravioli Di Carne Ai Funghi, Angus beef stuffed ravioli with a mushroom cream sauce. I almost never get stuffed pasta but this one spoke to me for some reason. I thought the ravioli were tasty and cooked well but the mushroom cream sauce was too creamy for me. I usually like sauces that are tomato or olive oil based but I took a chance. If you're into cream sauces, im sure you'd like this one a lot. We split one of the daily specials the braised beef short ribs with mashed potatoes. What was surprising was they split it in the kitchen with out asking! Thats amazing service! The short rib was fork tender and just melted in your mouth. The red wine and demi-glace sauce that it was braised in was very tasty and the mashed potatoes were silky smooth and buttery. Just half was a good size portion, I left really full.. The atmosphere is casual but you can dress up a little if you like. Business casual is probably a safe bet. I'd like to come back and try another pasta dish, maybe a lasagna or a Linguine alle vongole (linguini with clams) Service was great, its not a large place so reservations are highly recommended. I wouldn't take a chance just walking in, I'd imagine it would be a long wait.

Cathee C.

Yelp
We're picky when it comes to Italian food because my husband is half Italian from New York where Italian food is abundant. This is our new favorite Italian spot in town! Starting with the service, everyone and I mean EVERYONE was extremely friendly, helpful, and just overall great hosts for our date night. The food was spectacular. We had the calamari, Amatriciana with pancetta and tagliatelle, lobster ravioli (special - please add this to your permanent menu!!!), and ended with nutella cheesecake and crème brûlée. Every dish was full of freshness, flavor, and cooked to perfection. The standout was the lobster ravioli in vodka sauce. Let me tell you that vodka sauce is pure gold and deserves its own show as the main event. Make a reservation on Yelp as they were busy on a Saturday night. Loved the ambiance, fair pricing, food, service, and everything in between.

Kimberly y.

Yelp
Overall pretty solid Italian restaurant. I've been here a couple times and the servers are always very nice and friendly. The pasta portions are very generous and can easily be split between two.

Marianne F.

Yelp
I never heard of this type of pasta before, but saw the Orecchiette Con Salsiccia pasta was one of the best selling. I'm SO happy I tried something new and ordered it, since it's now one of my favorite pastas I've ever had. Also ordered the tiramisu and affogato! Even the desserts were truly amazing. The staff was on top of the service, and everyone so friendly. Honestly this place deserves a 10/10

Karlo S.

Yelp
4.5 stars out of 5 for me. There is no shortage of delicious Italian restaurants in San Diego. I mean we have a dozen or so just in Little Italy alone. But it's nice to know that you don't always have to deal with the traffic and business of Little Italy just to get a good plate of Italian food! This South Park spot serves up some awesome dishes. My favorite here is the Ravioli di Carne Funghi. Oh. Em. Gee. First off, the ravioli is filled with so much good beef--they definitely don't skimp on that. The pasta itself is the perfect pillowy al dente that you want in a ravioli. And lastly, the creaminess of the funghi sauce is to die for. It is seasoned so well and has the perfect umami taste that compliments the meat ravioli so well. Other great dishes is the Spaghetti Carbonara (perfectly creamy) and Cioppino (filled with lots of seafood goodies) and even their salads are good--particularly the Piacere Mio signature salad.

Emmett T.

Yelp
South Park has more than its fair share of Italian restaurants. Piacere Mio was recommended by a friend's coworker so we recently visited during a weekend after getting a few treats at a nearby bakery first. The corner suite was located at a busy intersection across from the neighborhood Target. We arrived before they opened for lunch, therefore some time was spent waiting at the next door coffee shop. A worker waved us inside as we approached the entrance soon after the opening time. I think there was sufficient seating for about 60 diners if the outdoor patio area was included. A special menu sheet was provided in addition to the standard menu. We decided to split the Beef Short Ribs from the Specials because it caught our eye. Knowing that the item was going to be on the heavier side, I selected the Polpo e Patate from the list of Antipasti. A basket of complimentary bread and a cup of olive oil with balsamic vinaigrette were brought to the table for us to nosh on while we waited for our order. My appetizer was an octopus and potato salad with kalamata olives and pesto sauce. There were plenty of potato chunks while the octopus was cut into small pieces. The short ribs were split into two plates as we requested. The oven roasted meat was cooked in red wine and demi glace sauce with onions, celery, and carrots. The portion size was plentiful as there was a full serving of mashed spuds that came with each plate. The beef was very tender with good flavor. Based on the service and quality of our food, I could see why Piacere Mio was highly rated.

Kailyn P.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner! I've been here multiple times and the food has always been amazing, but the customer service set the experience apart. Clemente was super kind and helpful, he gave great recommendations too. It was a little busier than normal but still good service. The eggplant ravioli is always my go to order, it's so good. My friends got the carbonara and the pesto lasagna, everyone loved the dish. The moscato was perfectly sweet (as recommended by Clemente).

Melisa C.

Yelp
Been here many times and their pastas are always solid. We like to make our own pasta combo, our favorite being the bolognese with pappardelle. The bolognese is flavorful and meaty and their pasta is perfectly al dente. Simple yet satisfying. We've recently tried their calamari appetizer and that was pretty good as well. They do also offer warm bread with olive oil and balsamic as a starter but we try to save our stomachs for the pasta. Overall we enjoy coming here for dinner and would recommend getting a reservation to minimize the potential wait time. This place is on the smaller side and tables can fill up quickly, especially when there is a party. It can also get quite loud inside, possibly because there isn't good sound proofing. I wouldn't recommend this as a first date or hangout spot if you want to actually hear your conversations. As for parking, it can be tough in this area. There is no lot, just street parking. Usually I find it's easier to find a spot a couple blocks away.

Luke P.

Yelp
If you're looking for a traditional Italian spot with amazing food and cozy, community vibes, Piacere Mio is the place for you. We enjoyed a weeknight visit recently and loved it. The food is delish. We started with the Caprese - giant heirloom tomatoes and thick sliced mozzarella. For the main course, we had the Mushroom Ravioli and the Chicken Parm. Both dishes were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Very good service - our Italian waiter was attentive and offered us good suggestions when we were stumped on ordering. We'll definitely be back. Oh! And great bread!

Nik J.

Yelp
Really had a great experience at this place. The food was good but the service was where this restaurant shined. There is residential street parking around and this place was PACKED by the time 6 pm rolled around so reservations are encouraged since it is a smaller space. Good selection of specials.

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Super laid back Italian spot in South Park. Ordered their Diavola pizza and it was delightful! By the way, if you think jalapenos are spicy, this salami will be too spicy for you! The marinara sauce was really good, usually I don't notice them much, but this one was perfectly seasoned and the consistency was just right. The service itself was prompt, we were seated as soon as we checked in and our order was taken within minutes!

Shaianne P.

Yelp
Went during Valentine's weekend: * caprese was ok... nothing crazy, just simple balsamic vinegar, 3 tomatoe halves, and mozzarella... probably would skip next time * carbonara was good (can't go wrong, it's always my go to at any restaurant serving pasta) * BUT my boyfriend had the orecchiette con salsiccia... and girl... THAT melted in your mouth in a heavenly way! * tiramisu was GOOD and worth it for the price because of how big it is (was thinking of ordering creme brulee, but saw how small it was for the price... wouldn't be worth it for your buck) * ambiance was cute BUT very intimate... tables are pretty close together * reservations are recommended & can be made on OpenTable * BONUS - walking distance of Target

Chris L.

Yelp
Absolutely one of our favorites. Fabulous food. Great staff and we love the ambiance.

Jacqueline H.

Yelp
We came here for dinner on a weeknight around 6pm and there was no wait! We sat on their covered patio because we had a small dog with us. The service was great, very homey and friendly. They give you bread at the start and have specials for drinks and main courses. We tried the Orecchiette ($22) and the Frutti De Mare ($25), as well as their wine special ($9). We had briefly mentioned we were sharing the two pastas and they actually split it for us before bringing it to the table, which was a great touch! Both pastas were delicious but the Orecchiette was our favorite and a must try. Parking in the neighborhood was easy!

Anthony D.

Yelp
Made reservations for a Friday Night and arrived 10 mins prior to our time. However after checking-in with the front, we still had to wait almost 20-30 more minutes to be seated. There was another group called before us that had a similar name to ours and we had a feeling that they took our spot (the workers seem to have English as their secondary language so mispronunciation could have happened). Our waiter for the night was atypical to say the least. It was hard to understand what he was saying and overall it felt like he was just spitting out Italian words/dishes without making it feel hospitable. Weird. They serve complimentary bread with a side of olive oil + balsamic but this is where I got concerned. They serve the dipping in a small ramekin that's a little deep. This is a problem because once you start dipping the bread, the oil is all at the top so it goes away pretty fast. So by the time you are at the bottom of the dip, all that is left is a hefty amount of straight balsamic w/no more olive oil. This is why Italian places traditionally serve this dip on a shallow flat plate so that it keeps both parts separate. The Tagliatelle Alla Zafferano Con Pollo was decent and had a hint of saffron. The chicken however was not good. You could tell that it's that kind of chicken cut where it's dry and you can see the striations on the meat. Not juicy/tender whatsover. The Orecchiette Con Salsiccia was much better. More of a 4/5 stars. The flavors were nice and I enjoyed the level of creaminess. Maybe our experience and the dishes we got were an anomaly, but we left feeling more disappointed than happy.

Jez L.

Yelp
The pasta we had was amazing! The mushroom cream sauce on the ravioli was definitely one of my favorite sauces. The ravioli was also nice and big and was filled with flavorful beef. The fettuccine alfredo was simple and delicious as well. The 17oz. steak was a daily special, and for $40 or so, seems like a steal. It included the steak, the fettuccine alfredo, and roasted potatoes. The steak was seasoned very well. The cream sauce for the steak was creamy and had a lot of flavor. However, the steak was very chewy and was very hard to swallow. The tiramisu was thick and was not too sweet. Service was great. Waiters kept checking in on us and were very polite. Along with two glasses of wine, we spent around $122 for everything, including tip. Overall, I will definitely come back to try more delicious pasta. I probably would not get the steak again.

Yelp
Amazing Food Fun atmosphere Service is always a joy This is one of our favorite places to come and just enjoy the experience of fine dining We will come again and again A.Rosales

Van L.

Yelp
This is still one of my favorite Italian restaurants in San Diego. Food and service is still on par. They never disappoint. I highly recommend making rsvp on the weekend as they get pretty busy. The inside is packed and loud so I prefer the outside covered seating.

Jodie L.

Yelp
This is our go-to Italian in all of San Diego. They had a tough run when they were opening up their other locations but they have redeemed themselves. The food is authentic, the restaurant is cozy and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Their noodles are all made in house and with LOVE. Amazing specials. Every birthday, anniversary, friends visiting, etc - they will not disappoint.

Zain N.

Yelp
piaceremioristorante is one of the most cutest and romantic Italian restaurant, I loved everything, the vibe, the service and for sure the food. Generous portions and very delicious authentic Italian dishes in the heart of south park

Mark Y.

Yelp
Cesare salad was excellent and the kitchen served exactly half portion for me and my friend, which was fantastic. The lettuce on the salad was the whole leaf and seasoned very well! Would love to get little more croutons but loved the sauce! Lasagna was a bit of a letdown as I was looking forward to more depth and flavor. It was just another lasagna with mild tomato sauce that wasn't anything amazing. I enjoyed the service, details and the ambiance of the restaurant but it wasn't anything that will get me out of my seats. Thank you for the service and the food guys! Cheers!

Kaloni S.

Yelp
Parking was easy to find in the neighborhood. I made a reservation for 6:30pm and was seated right away. I definitely recommend making a reservation as this small restaurant is popular and gets very crowded. I absolutely love this restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, all the staff was so warm and welcoming. The overall vibe of the restaurant is so cozy and charming. The low lighting really sets a great mood and the ambiance is lovely. Food review: Wine: Malbec and Pinot Grigio (5/5) for both. They were smooth and delicious! Artichoke heart appetizer: (5/5) This dish was surprisingly super tasty. The artichoke was a good portion, well seasoned, and tender. The fresh cheese on top was a great touch. Gnocchi: (5/5) Super flavorful and a good portion! Lasagna bolognese: (5/5) This is my go-to meal here. It's so flavorful, filled with so many layers of noodles, delicious meat, and cheese. It's also a huge portion so I always have enough for lunch the next day. Cheesecake: (5/5) Our waiter was so sweet and gave us complimentary cheesecake. When I tell you... we left NO crumbs. This was some of the best cheesecake I've tasted. I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Yelp
Made a reservation last minute and had no problems getting seated for a party of 2 on a Sunday night 7 pm. The place is a bit small and there is not much going on around the immediate vicinity of this block of South Park. Service wasn't bad but our menus, water, bread with olive oil, and food were all served without a smile. Also olive oil and balsamic vinegar is all served together which I didn't like. Orecchietti Con Salcissia- Ear shaped pasta with Italian sausage. Lots of flavor, especially the sausage. The pasta is firm and does taste homemade texture wise. I did not like the tomatoes, and they were a bit sour and too watery to go along with the rest of the dish. Probably would have preferred broccoli/rabe as a substitute. 2/5 Linguini alle vongole - very nicely done. Once again the linguini pasta tasted homemade, and it is. The clams and the linguini absorbed a lot of garlic flavor, and the white wine sauce which I love. Most of the clams were open and easy to eat as well. We added a bit too much parmesan cheese and I felt that didn't go with the dish, but that wasn't too big a deal. 4.5/5

Yelp
Best Italian food in San Diego! Had the most incredible meal and overall experience. Emmanuella the manager was amazingly friendly, helpful, and gracious with the most beautiful Neapolitan accent. Clemente our server was great and walked us through all the specials and filled us in about menu. Everything we tried was so good. The octopus and potato antipasto was outrageous! The mahi mahi was crazy delicious and it came with a very generous portion of a classic creamy vegetable risotto. Excellent wine menu too. The cheesecake was another favorite and the best way to end a wonderful meal. All the pastas are homemade and it's obvious the chef takes pride in every dish. Beautiful interior with cool exposed brick walls with a modern look while still feeling very inviting and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Im a picky person when it comes to food... but man, Id come back to this place weekly if it isn't so far for me. I am over all these overpriced overhyped Italian restaurants which seem to focus solely on the ambience and people will go as long as it's Instagram worthy. Carpaccio - very fresh but portion is on the lighter side Calamari - thin coated breading, seasoned just right, I could have finished the whole app by myself Carbonara - it's probably the top 3 carbonara I had in San Diego. Lobster seafood fettuccine in vodka sauce - very generous portion lobster, cooked just right, vodka sauce was on the lighter side which I added some chili pepper Pan seared sea bass in lemon caper sauce - holy cow it was 10/10. Tiramisu was great. It was enough to be shared by 2-3 people. Waiters and waitress were very friendly and approachable. They definitely made everybody feel welcome. They checked on us regularly and in the perfect timing whenever we needed something.

Yelp
Had a lovely dining experience at Piacere Mio with family and friends. The meal started with oil and balsamic to dip fresh cut bread into, followed by an array of wines by the glass and a phenomenal array of build your own pasta options. The food is served hot and fast, a rare find at such a delicious Italian location. We were all more than pleased with our visit! They do stick firmly to a ninety minute reservation time, as they are a small restaurant with many reservations. Definitely recommend a night out here if you're visiting the San Diego area!

Yelp
Such a wonderful dining experience at Piacere Mio South Park. We were a party of 7 and everyone loved their meals: Orecchiette Con Salsiccia, Salmon Ravioli, cheese ravioli, chicken parmigiana, linguini w white clam sauce and spaghetti and meatballs. My meal was the clam sauce which was loaded with super fresh clams. We started w a delicious house salad and ended the meal by sharing desserts that were all great but the tirimisu was my favorite. All the servers were helpful and served with a smile. Ambiance was festive. Can't say enough great things about this meal.

Yelp
One of our favorite Italian spots in San Diego that we have frequented many times over the past several years! No matter the occasion, Piacere Mio has always delivered a great experience - the food is delicious, the atmosphere is homey and all the staff are always exceptionally friendly. Best of all, the food and wines are actually reasonably priced, unlike some other Italian spots in town, so you can enjoy a great meal without breaking the bank. Do make a reservation as it does get busy!

Yelp
A cute little casual spot for decent Italian food! We ordered the caprese to start and the cioppino and the ravioli de melanzane (rec'd by the energetic gentleman that was helping us). The caprese was light and refreshing, but I was disappointed that there wasn't any basil even though the menu said it was in the dish. It was still good! The cioppino was pretty good but I wasn't impressed by the ravioli. The filling was a little sweet and the sauce was too, so everything after the first few bites started to get a bit overwhelming. I'd definitely come back to try something else!

Yelp
We moved my mom in two years ago to the independent living side. She loves it! She has made a lot of new friends and enjoys the activities.
