"Neapolitan pizza geeks are known to make the drive to Lake Nona just to indulge in the pies fashioned by Emilio Parascandolo and his sons, Fabio and Massimo. Whether it’s the Pistacchiella with Bufala mozzarella, pistachio, and mortadella or the Tartufata with imported mozz, mushrooms, prosciutto, parmesan, and truffles, every pizza is made with a serious adherence to tradition and custom. Google
A friend of mine from Italy recommended this place for the most authentic Italian style pizza and food that he's found in the area. While I haven't been to Italy yet to compare, I can say the food here was amazing. Everyone working in the restaurant is Italian. My grandparents were 100% Italian and my favorite dish is gnocchi. I'm skeptical of ordering it because it's usually a letdown compared to my grandmother's made from scratch gnocchi with meat sauce. The gnocchi here was the closest I've had to my grandmother's recipe. If the sauce would've had meat in it and no melted mozzarella, I think it would be exactly the same. 10 out of 10 recommend and will be back to try other items on the menu!

Until today, we have never found an Italian restaurant that reminds my husband of home until today. You know you are in a true authentic Italian restaurant when you walk in and all the employees are speaking Italian in kitchen. The Gnocchi alla Sorrentina reminded him of his grandma's cooking. He savored every bite and I've never seen him eat so slow, enjoying every bite. My Tartufata pizza.... AMAZING!! Our daughters Penne alla Vodka was a true authentic dish and the unlimited bread was great. This restaurant has earned customers for life and we cannot wait to share it with friends and family.

Stopped in for a personal all-meat pizza and was pleasantly surprised. The crust was light, airy, and had the perfect crunch—clearly baked in a stone oven, which gave it that authentic feel. The cheese had a unique flavor—almost slightly sweet, not overly sharp, and really balanced out the saltiness of the meats, which were fresh and generously portioned. It only took about 10 minutes to get my pizza, and I paired it with a cold Coke (no Pepsi here). Total came out to about $30 incl. tip. All in all, solid spot. Great vibe, fast service, and quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend.

If you want to try authentic Italian pizza, you need to come here! And they have much more to offer than just pizza. Amazing and kind staff and beautiful location. Grazie!

Google
This was recommended to me by a coworker and it did not disappoint. The moment you walk in the atmosphere is lovely. Wanted pizza as I was told it is amazing but got the pollo marsala and it was delicious. The service was great and I swear it only took 15 minutes for the food to come to the table after ordering. The girlfriend got the cacio e pepe and added grilled chicken and that too was delicious and the perfect temp. Highly recomend the tiramisu! While there a gentleman in the kitchen started to sing in Italian and it just added to the amazing atmosphere of the restaurant. They do get busy and when we went they asked if we had a reservation but still take walk in. Going back to try the pizzas. Great spot to eat at!

Needed a quick bite so shared a stromboli and glass of red wine with my husband. Loved the Italian hospitality, food and music. Will definitely return.

Google
Beyond disappointing. Maybe Pizza Hut would have been better. Ordered a Mediterranean side salad and Bufalina side salad. The side salad was not even a salad. Mixed greens with maybe 1oz of tomato and 1oz of onion, I’m a being very generous. That was it, no black olives, no feta cheese. The Pizza was essentially raw, mush and burnt where the crust bubbled up. There was some basil clumps but would have been nice to have it throughout. Just simply not worth nearly $40. For one person. Oh and the atmosphere got a two because of the kid’s crawling u see the tables.

Google
So close to my house and yet never been until now! A friend of mine suggested it and I am so glad we came. Close to Nona blue and right next to Menchie's. Place is cute! Was seated right away and our waitress Juliana and was so sweet. Everyone in there seems to be from Italy! I love that they were singing and talking to each other in Italian. I got a glass of Chianti, price was very reasonable ($9) and it was really good. We started with the pear Gorgonzola salad, it was refreshing and so good. For entree we ordered the classic margarita pizza (delicious also), and the lobster and shrimp ravioli, oh my god, these are so good. For dessert we shared the profiterole, also amazing! Overall what an amazing dinner, great food and service.

Yelp
Yes I must say yesterday was my first time eating there and it reminded me of Croatia , Italy I'm definitely bringing my family here

Yelp
Food service and ambiance are all GREAT! Don't hesitant. go and have delicious food served by friendly people. We have become regulars after 3 times and feel like family!!! Recommend the white pizza with pesto and spicy sausage. It don't like white pizza but this one is fabulous!

Yelp
I have not been able to find TRUE Italian food since moving to FL and that's been for a few years now... All that changed when I stepped into Piazza Italia. Food was truly authentic and most of all, delicious. Everyone was super friendly and prices were super reasonable. If anyone is looking for a great Italian meal, run over to this place. You will not regret it. I'll definitely be returning.

Yelp
Best pizza I've had! Real authentic Italian food, everyone was super nice and sweet! The inside and food gives 5 star restaurant and they even have seats outside. 10/10 highly recommend!

Yelp
Holy cow this place is incredible! I came with my friends who live in the area and eat here once a week. I was not disappointed. The staff is so friendly and recognized my friends when we walked in. There is a family vibe through the entire place. The Chef is a women and who I assume is the mother of the team here. Everyone was so nice and hustling to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was to die for. I ordered the June special which is a slow cooked short rib and meatball rigatoni. While we waited we ordered the garlic bread with cheese. It was AMAZING! Then when one margarita pizza and rigatoni arrived I was in heaven. The most perfectly prepared pizza in my life. To add to the experience the short rib melted off the bone and into my mouth. An unforgettable culinary experience. I will be back as soon as possible!

Yelp
I never like leaving a negative review and often do my best not to. Now i will start by saying I ordered for delivery. I cannot speak for an in restaurant experience. The delivery was fast. I ordered a decent amount for the family. Pasta al pesto, Fettucine Alfredo, Baked Ziti, apollo Parmigiana and a 13' meat lovers pizza. Everything was packaged well and came with utensils, napkins and sides of bread (which i will say the bread was very good) Pizza was a tad bit burnt which okay wood fire i assume or would hope it was but that was tolerable and flavoring was good. Now to the family style meals. Each had chicken add ons which the add ons are 5.00 per plate (okay still didn't mind at all) I thought that was fair for chicken. But when i opened the containers the quality was awful. presentation was awful (even for delivery standards) and chicken looked like it came out of a can. and had a rubbery texture. Moving on to the worst part that made me throw everything that had chicken in it in the trash. when i cut the chicken cutlet from the chicken (pollo) parmigiana it was pink(raw) and cold. If you are anyone like myself who has previously had salmonella poisoning chances are you would have tossed it as well. As an American Italian I will say i'm very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. Again i apologize for the not so great review but hope this review changes the way things are done in the kitchen or helps. Thank you.

Yelp
I so wanted to love this place. We live nearby and go to Nona Blue way too often. This place is okay. Really cute and intimate, but I haven't found a great dish yet b

Yelp
A group of 5 of us came to this location on Christmas Eve. I had heard great things from a friend so I was eager to try it. We started with some wine and drinks. The wine was delicious and the sever, extremely attentive to our table. Next we got the bruschetta as an appetizer which I thought as really really good. That along with the bread could have been my main meal. But I decided to get one of their seafood hot plate specials. I didn't love everything on my plate, but appreciated the things that were not fried. It just didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked. I think next time I'll stick to the pizza. We then shared a delicious desert that was a special at the time as well (I think?) Overall, come check this place out ! Maybe stay away from the seafood dishes and try the pasta and pizza. That will be my next choices!

Yelp
My husband stopped in at this place on a whim. We were actually planning to eat at another restaurant, but when we saw this place we changed our minds and I'm so glad we did. When we arrived at around 2pm on a Thursday we were the only ones at the restaurant. It was very relaxing and quiet. My husband had the Delicata Pizza and I ordered the Penna allá Vodka (I added in chicken). Both entrees were so delicious! Best Penne allá Vodka that I've ever had! I also tried my husbands pizza and it was AMAZING. I'm somewhat of a snob with the type of sausage some places use on their pizza, but the one here was so good! Unfortunate I forgot our waiters name, but he was so incredibly nice. Our food came out quick, and fresh and we are definitely coming back here!

Yelp
Piazza Italia is such an authentic italian place hidden in Lake Nona! I love how small and intimate the place was. For starters, we got calamari and it was delicious and very fresh. As an entree, I decided to stick to one of my favorite pastas, which is pesto! At first, I thought the portion was quite small but it was actually very filling. The pasta noodle tasted homemade and the pesto sauce tasted very fresh and healthy. Our server was incredibly sweet and patient as she offered to take many group photos for us! Overall, piazza italia is the place to go if you're craving authentic italian food :) Would definitely return!

Mike R.

Yelp
Avoid the chicken marsala. Just order it as carry out. The chicken is a plain slab and over boiled. The Marsala sauce was very watery. Truly awful. Not what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. I do not recommend.

Yelp
So far so good The owner I think it is opened door very attentive and very helpful He placed in an area where the stroller edit perfectly (we have a big stroller ) They also have highchair Bring your own stuff to clean the highchairs any where you go as they are the last thing people think of cleaning ! Bread they serve when you sit is good and warm I'll follow up with food shortly We started with a buratta It's good 4 cheese pizza is yummy Lasagna is good I think I make a better one lol

Yelp
Piazza Italia is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Nona. The entire team is from Italy. The food and service is phenomenal! The Mom works the front and is super sweet. All servers are sooooo awesome! Check it out!

Yelp
This place was AMAZING! Actual Italians, authentic food, very tasty everything. Fantastic pizza and tiramisu for the win. Perfect comfort food for a food snob who just landed after a long flight from LA. Ate the pizza too quick to snap a pic. Delish!

Christian R.

Yelp
Way overpriced for decent pizza. I ordered 2 large pies and the total was $70+. Call me cheap all you want but I could never comprehend paying $70+ on 2 large pizzas. I don't care how and where it's made. That's ridiculous and the pizza wasn't even great . It wasn't bad but at that price, I was expecting to have top 5 pizza I've ever had.

Yelp
5 stars food and service highly recommended amazing traditional Italian food very small place recommend to have reservation but worth the wait if you have to

Yelp
My favorite Italian restaurant in Orlando and happens to be right by my house. Owned and operated by a family from Naples (Italy, not Florida, LOL), the wood fired pizza and past dishes are amazing! My favorite is the OG Margherita pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. Mediterranean salad and house balsamic dressing is a refreshing and sizable starter dish. The ambiance is nice/casual and staff always friendly and exceptional service.
google avatar

Brett S.

Yelp
The food was okay. Maybe it was my option. I had the zupa di pesce special. It was flavorless and the sauce was watery. The rest of my party's food looked decent though. It is a small restaurant in the lake Nona area. Service was fine, no issues there. I will definitely give it another try and purchase a regular menu item.

Yelp
Real Italian food!! A gem in Lake Nonna! Service is fantastic and the owners create an awesome ambiance!!! Don't miss it

Yelp
In full disclosure, I have several favorite Italian restaurants in the world. They're in Europe. This restaurant is the closest I've found to those wonderful cafes and restaurants. So what makes this little restaurant so close to that experience? First of all, there's a lot of attention to detail. The bread that is served at the table is made in house, and it has the kind of crust you only get from the master bakers in Europe. Crunchy exterior that melts away to the pillowy soft center. Another plus: the olive oil on the table is much higher quality than what you get at the grocery store. Neopolitan pizza done with the best ingredients? Absolutely. The only place I'll cheat and get a pie in Orlando. Just amazing crust with that right combination of crispiness and flavor. I highly recommend the diablo pizza. The salami is such a great combination with the tomato base and the fresh mozzarella. Another suggestion: the pastas. Their sauces...man, now I'm getting hungry. They're so well done. The thing I like about my favorite Italian spots in Europe is how unfussy they are. Uncomplicated. That's what these sauces are. Want an Alfredo sauce? This is the place to taste what it's supposed to taste like, not the overly salted, overly spiced versions we see everywhere. Simple. Full of flavor. We haven't had a bad meal from this place yet. On a separate note, the people at this restaurant are a family, and they'll treat you that way. They know you. They actually care about you. On the night I had to put my father on life support, I went to this restaurant to simply have some comfort food. On my way in the door, they asked where my dad was, since he's usually with me. I won't bore you with the details of my epic meltdown, but these people treated me like I was one of their own. There's a reason it's a beloved spot in Lake Nona.

Yelp
Piazza Italia.... what an awesome place! Came here with a group of friends ... ok a large group of friends. We were like 30+ people and they accepted to accommodate us at a very short notice. This restaurant is classy and easy going at the same time.. but that is not the best part. Food here is legit. Real Italian food at it's best. The tomato sauce is delicious and that is the base for a lot of the dishes. We had a special pasta with a short rib ragu and meatball served with pappardelle pasta.... that was delicious. The carbonara pasta was creamy and al dente but for me the best thing was probably the linguini vongole. A very delicate sauce and plenty of clams. Just perfect. I wish I could try everything but .... impossible. The common opinion was everything was DELICIOUS and on point. Pizzas, salads, all pastas, etc. Everyone left happy. Service is outstanding. Reyna our waitress was phenomenal. Always attentive and efficient. She was super friendly and the owner is a great character in this picture. He is friendly, loves kids, Soccer and is a great host. I highly recommend coming here if this is an option or if you have the opportunity. Awesome service and awesome food.

Yelp
I attended a very nice event here, for a friend's birthday party. They are known for their Italian oven and the first appetizers were garlic cheese flat breads served with marinara, charred nicely and oozing garlicky goodness. The following antipasta plates featured Italian meats, cheeses, peppers, olives and roasted Eggplant which made for excellent toppings. I ordered a special burrata pizza with prosciutto, basil, truffle & mushroom. It was delicious, well charred, but the moisture from the burrata did make the center of the pizza soggy. I would note that 2 days in the cardboard take home box dried out the remaining pizza perfectly. The Spaghetti Carbonara was served just how I like it (no peas, plenty of pancetta) and it was enjoyed. Oddly, as we were leaving the staff had multiple pizzas from a chain restaurant delivered, making me wonder about management policies. The owner just shrugged when I questioned this. The staff was not attentive, mostly looking like they wanted to be somewhere else, and we were the only large party on a slow Thursday night. They have a solid wine list and plenty of entree choices, Taste **** Quality/Freshness **** Presentation/Uniqueness **** Service ** Atmosphere *** Bar *** Cleanliness **** Value ***

George R.

Yelp
Felt like it was fast Italian buffet food. Nice server however not great service. Definitely packed with a lot of customers so it might have been just my experience.
google avatar

Yelp
We were picking up family at the airport around dinnertime, so we decided to eat somewhere nearby that wasn't a chain restaurant. We also haven't been to the Lake Nona area in a few years, so we wanted to check it out. We selected Piazza Italia. I had made a reservation from their website, but it was a weekday, so it wasn't super crowded anyway. We were brought a few half-slices of bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We could definitely have used/eaten more bread, but it was never offered. I ordered the Peperonata di Rigatoni - mixed peppers with sausage in traditional red sauce over rigatoni. It was very delicious, and the sauce had a lot of flavor to it as well. There was plenty of sauce on the pasta, and extra bread would have come in handy for sopping up all the goodness. Service was good, and everyone was very friendly.

Yelp
My wife and I love Italian food and decided to give this restaurant a try. We're big fettuccine alfredo fans and with that said, we both ordered two dishes and added chicken. I ordered one beer. Our daughter decided to get a 10 inch pepperoni pizza. Staff was very nice throughout and service was fast and efficient. The restaurant is located in a cute plaza near the famous Nona Blue restaurant (which we love). The interior is very nice, clean and welcoming. The pasta dishes were good. Nothing out of this world. Our daughter's pizza was actually better. Although we wish the crust was a bit more firm. The reasoning for the 3 stars is because of sticker shock. For two pastas dishes w/chicken, one beer and a small pizza the check came out to $80. It was $10 to add chicken to each pasta dish. It wasn't even a full serving of chicken. Maybe half a chicken breast for each of us? $20 for just chicken was absurd. No wonder the add on pricing wasn't on the menu. I do understand that prices have gone up to dine out everywhere, but this just didn't seem like reasonable pricing, especially for the quality. In hindsight, we probably should have asked how much it was to add the chicken, but we'd never imagine it would cost that much. I'd like to reiterate that the service was very good and our waitress was amazing. But unfortunately, for the price, we'd rather dine at a place like Christinis Ristorante Italiano.

Karoll M.

Yelp
Piazza Italia is one of my favorite restaurants! The staff and owners are always super nice and friendly. The pizza is always a 10/10, and I LOVE the bruschetta appetizer. I always recommend this place for authentic Italian! Come on a good night and you might catch Emilio, the owner, singing Italian songs. Great environment and great food.

Angie G.

Yelp
This place is so cute. Such a great place to enjoy an authentic Italian meal or just enjoy cup of cappuccino ( which by the way was good) & dessert. Our server was so helpful in helping us choose a great authentic pizza & appetizers. Their ingredients are fresh !! The fried calamari , the bruschetta pizza toppings ( great pizza btw ) Everything was so good ! Then comes the dessert-- carrot cheese cake .. omg amazing and I'm not a carrot cake eater. Came out warm and the cheese cake between the carrot cake was heavenly. Definitely will be back !

Yelp
10/10 great food and great atmosphere. Authentic Italian food. Some of this I haven't had since Italy. We were served by the owner and was he welcoming! Will go back when I'm in town!

Yelp
We try the Carbonara Pasta and it delicious my daughter tasted the ravioli with Pesto and she loved it. The service is excellent and very friendly and the ambience is familiar with open concept. I recommend it.

Yelp
After reading so many good reviews I decided to stop by for dinner. I showed and everything was ok. The waitress took Forever to bring us some bread and the owner or manager was arguing with a customer that preferred take out while we waited at our table for drinks and the bread. I ordered lasagna and as I'm eating I found hair on my food. I called my waitress and ask her if she spoke Spanish (I didn't want to cause a scene) and after she said yes I told her the issue. She said I'm sorry and took my plate away. As I'm waiting for my check after finding hair on my meal that I also fed my 1 old child of ... I thought the manager may show up to our table to apologize or something but nothing. I waited over 10 minutes for a check. When it came back the waitress said - took the lasagna and thanks for telling me.. Paid and left disappointed. Honestly felt that an apology or acknowledgment of the issue was due my the owner or manager but ... I guess business is that good that they don't mind losing me or my family as a customer after all.

Yelp
Best pizza I've had in Melbourne. Great waitstaff and delicious pizza. Try the garlic knots. Out of this world.

Ajah T.

Yelp
The food was pretty good but the service was not good. The front desk host and owner made it clear they didn't want to help us or serve us when trying to get seat during a busy hour. Would like to try it again but hope for better service next time.

Larry G.

Yelp
Muy buen lugar , acogedor , creo que lo atienden sus dueños italianos , es mi tercera vez y volvería .
google avatar

Yelp
This pizza place was 40 minutes away from us but so worth the drive. We ordered so many different pizzas and they all were really really good. The dough is fluffy and chewy and the Buffalo mozzarella was delicious. The service was amazing, a worker insisted to help me to my car which was very kind. Inside is a nice sit-down restaurant with a nice vibe. We will be back!

Yelp
Food was great! Love a place with solid pasta dishes! Pizzas looked yummy and I definitely saving room for dessert next time!

Tyler L.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. The flavor and consistency has been phenomenal. The bruschetta is simply a must, you will thank me later. The Garlic Bread is incredible. Pizza is like being in Napoli (ive been btw). Pasta and desserts are wonderfully authentic and the best Italian I've had in central Florida. I cannot praise this place enough!

Yelp
Just wanted to share more photos! Recently, we needed some comfort food so we went to our usual Italian spot and had some chicken Alfredo, spaghetti carbonara and garlic cheese bread. Yum!

Yelp
Sooooo bad. Just got delivery from here and it was just plain awful. DoorDash got there quickly so that's a plus. They were nice on the phone so that's another plus BUT the food was dreadful. Pizza was just ok. The crust was so chewy that I needed to cut with a knife. The chicken... so rubbery. It was as if it was boiled. It was also a tiny chicken breast, no seasoning and inedible. The sauce had half an artichoke heart. The caprese salad was burrata on the reviews but when we got it was just four tiny slivers of mozzarella. Overall experience was just bad. Very disappointed that this is what people consider good Italian food.

Yelp
This restaurant is in lake nona. The portion they provide is very good. I am satisfied with what I ate. the dessert too and the very delicious mineral water. It is not cold or hot, a cool climate. it has very good decoration

Yelp
Best Italian food in Orlando. We've tried a lot of Italian places in Orlando and by far this is the best one! Family owned, charming place. Even the waitresses are from Italy.

Yelp
Excellent service. A wonderful dinning experience ALWAYS! The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The operation is overseen by very passionate owners who want to succeed and ensure a pleasant customer experience every time.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! The ambiance was very peaceful and family oriented. Our server, Ana, was really good! Everything on the menu sounds great! I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
It's so great when you find a place like this. We have been looking for some good Italian, a family place...and we hit the jackpot. Our 1st visit here was 2 weeks ago and we have been back 3 times... All the pastas has been great, the margarita pizza is a must and this garlic bread was next level... can't wait to come back and try more

Yelp
***UPDATE: Their cannelloni is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Fresh homemade pasta that you can taste!!! The quality is very evident. The tomato sauce is perfect! This just blew it out of the park!!! I ate the whole dish- and I'm still craving more. Soooooo good!!!!!! Can't wait to try their other pasta dishes ! My favorite go to Italian spot in lake Nona. It's kind of hidden in the back of a plaza - but it's a hidden gem for lake Nona. We generally get it delivered - I always get their Margherita pizza - the dough is perfect, their tomato sauce is wonderful, and the fresh mozz with basil perfects this. If you go for dinner to sit in- I highly recommend the chicken parm - it's also a huge dish too! The owners are super cool- usually the first to greet you as you walk in. Reminds me of home in jersey. Best Italian around, hands down

Yelp
I have eaten here many times before Covid-19. Food is always good. Ordered take out Sunday night and prepaid for dinner when ordering online. When I went inside to pick up the food I saw a gentleman wearing a face shield but no mask. That means very little protection. Another gentleman was making pizzas with his mask covering on his mouth only. He wasn't wearing gloves. I had seen enough until I saw a 3rd employee come from the back with a mask only covering his mouth. Some of the earlier reviews said restaurant was maintaining Covid-19 protocol. Tonight they weren't.

Yelp
The year of the crazy Yelp reviews continues. We got a tip from some friends who live around the corner that this place was doing great things during The Rona and we decided to give them a shot. Then we gave them another shot. Then we gave them another and another. We've never eaten here in person, but have done take away and delivery. We look forward to eating here at this mess is over. They a great job of packing your food. It is hot and fresh and tasty. We've had about a dozen items from here now and are glad they are regular part of our COVID dining options. We've liked almost every item and had some great meals.
