Pier 17

Pier17 is really a great place for a little tour and exploring city & east river views. Also has welcoming deck where we can sit and relax. Absolutely stunning view at afternoon especially Brooklyn Bridge side.

Haven't been here since it reopened. The mall is gone, and now the place looks more upscale. During the day some streets look charming, at night it brings out a different atmosphere. Under the FDR, The street food smells great. Still lots of updates going on... lots of potential.

Pier 17 in NYC is definitely one of those spots that surprises you with how versatile and scenic it is. The view from the rooftop is incredible, especially at sunset with the Brooklyn Bridge and East River in the background—it’s the kind of place that feels like a hidden gem even though it’s in plain sight. There are great food options, seasonal events, and often live music or pop-ups that make the experience even more memorable. It’s a perfect stop if you’re walking through the South Street Seaport area or just looking for a nice urban spot to relax. Worth visiting, especially if you enjoy places that mix city energy with beautiful views.

Great place for scenic views. Especially during weekdays. On weekends it can get pretty crowded. There are also a bunch of nice shops where you can get stuff to eat.

The views are very nice and the walk along the water but not much to do at the pier itself. Not many stores, restaurant's or shopping. There is nice outdoor seating to sit and relax.

cool event venue. it's quite new and the skating rink on the rooftop is still being set up when we visited during March 2025. The rest of the venue doesn't seem to be utilized much yet. love to come back during some event.

Amazing views and peaceful. It’s a great hangout place as well a place to just walk around. There are many restaurants and food places nearby too. I definitely come here a lot in my free time and would absolutely recommend others to do the same.

Pier 17's rooftop venue offers a truly memorable setting for live music, boasting breathtaking panoramic views of the New York City skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. The atmosphere on the roof is undeniably cool, providing a unique backdrop for a concert experience. The sound system at Pier 17 is a definite highlight. The audio was clear and well-distributed, allowing for an immersive musical experience. For the Anjunadeep event, the quality of the sound system complemented the intricate layers of the music, which was much appreciated by the dedicated "Anjuna family" in attendance. The shared enthusiasm and positive vibes from the Anjuna community added another layer of enjoyment to the evening. When it comes to amenities, Pier 17 provides convenient food and drink options on the rooftop. While the drink prices were notably on the higher side, which is perhaps expected for a prime venue in New York City, the food options were reasonably priced and offered a good selection for a concert setting. It was convenient to be able to grab a bite without having to leave the venue. However, the evening was unfortunately marked by a serious and unforeseen event. Following the conclusion of the event, a tall ship that had departed from Pier 17 struck the Brooklyn Bridge. This was a shocking incident that cast a pall over the end of the night, and our thoughts go out to those affected by this unfortunate accident. Despite this somber conclusion, the overall experience at Pier 17 for the Anjunadeep event was largely positive. The combination of the stunning rooftop location, excellent views, quality sound system, and the vibrant energy of the Anjuna family made for a fantastic musical experience. While the price of drinks is a point to consider, the reasonable food options and the overall quality of the venue make it a desirable spot for concerts. The incident with the tall ship was a separate, unfortunate event that was outside the venue's control but was witnessed by many in attendance.

My friend and I checked out The Rooftop at Pier 17 for a concert, and I was completely in awe of its amazing, broad views of the Brooklyn Bridge, East River, Downtown Manhattan, and Brooklyn. While the show proceeded, we were able to see the sun set, and the city become illuminated. It was truly awe-inspiring! In addition, the sound system was crystal clear, and the general standing setup made it easy to get as close to the stage as you wished. At the show we were attending, the video screens adjacent to the stage kept switching between views of the band and highlights of the audience, which really got the crowd engaged. The downside to the layout, however, was that there really was no where to sit, so between sets or while you were eating, you were basically forced to stand or sit on the ground. Speaking of eating, the Chicken Tenders that we had ordered were awful! They were burnt and bone dry. Thankfully, they were served with a bag of Cape Cod potato chips to fill up on instead. I had not even had chicken fingers for years, but there really were no health food items on offer; their only vegetarian option was spinach and cheese empanadas. I would definitely dine elsewhere before or after your show. The beverage program was not much better. The standard margaritas were $19 and half the size of a normal one you would get elsewhere. They indirectly tried to convince you to upgrade to a full-sized version for another $9. It was insansity! In terms of canned beverages, the options were mainly beers, with one cider and one Bacardi Mojito also available. There were no hard seltzers of any kind. I opted for the Bacardi Mojito, which was refreshing, but also very sweet and artificial tasting. Also, just for reference, the bathroom was huge, modern, and could accommodate the bulk of the concert crowd; it was located one floor down within the pier building, which was easy to navigate by using the escalators. I really would love to see a show at The Rooftop at Pier 17 every summer, though I will make sure to eat and drink elsewhere!

My boyfriend and some friends attended the music festival on Saturday, August 31 featuring three jam bands. It's a fantastic venue and we had a fun experience! We loved the bands and enjoyed the breathtaking views of NYC! The comfort food and drink choices were good; loved the canned water as an option! I also enjoyed the empanadas. Also, we were there for 5 hours, and it would have been nice to get a hand stamp so we could leave, get something decent to eat instead of hot dogs, and come back since we weren't there for the middle performer, though he was enjoyable.

"Anti-finance bro discrimination is the only acceptable hatred for the politically correct. The word douchebag is worse than any other slur" - some tweet, possibly. It's an imperfect science to balance the rating of the venue itself (lovely) but with the crowd (often terrible). Pier 17 itself isn't to blame for the depravity of the scumbags who don't have the attention span for an 80-minute Stray Cats concert. As opposed to free-range outdoor venues like PNC's lawn, there's not huge square footage. The choice is heading for "the pit", where the serious fans are more likely to be found and if they still don't STFU, the concert audio will drown out at least some of their chatter. But if you don't want full-body contact, the less crowded sections in the back will be full of people who want to say they went to concert but don't actually care about music. It's bad enough that conversation during acoustic music is commonplace, worse that the violators will yell to be heard over amplified concerts. Security, entry and egress are reasonable. Bathrooms are way better than Forest Hills, maybe not up to Live Nation quality. Sound quality was impeccable for the rockabilly stylings of the Cats.

Thinking about seeing a show at Pier 17? Yes, drinks are extortionately priced. Yes, the crowd can be full of selfie-taking influencers (and the Seaport itself can be overrun with tourists). Yes, the staff is a crapshoot between on point (a pleasant surprise when it happens), and not caring at all. But you truly can't be sad about seeing a band you like rock out on a Manhattan rooftop with great sound quality, a breeze blowing, expansive views of the Hudson River, and the Brooklyn Bridge right behind the stage. The band couldn't even believe how nice the venue is. Check out the lineup for summer, and do yourself a favor and get over there. I've also been back since just to wander around the pier down below (eateries and drinkeries and more), and it's equally wonderful on a gorgeous summer day. Basically, this pier is how the majority of waterfront in NYC should look. (Shakes fist at Robert Moses.)

A wonderful pier for tourists. Got the deck across beautiful view of Brooklyn bridge, the TIN building, lots of restaurants, roof top, old ships, lots of things to see. Sometimes there are concerts and live music. On the street side there's a seaport museum and some more attractions. I like to visit this pier at least once a summer.

Good weather to visit pier 17 today. Come early in the morning. Otherwise it gets really hot. Nice view for the bridge and river. Most restaurants open at 11.

Amazing concert venue. Large screens. No place to sit though unless you want to sit on this low metal bar that runs along a glass wall just to rest your feet. Huge and clean restroom. No wait!! Same for snack bar. Quick service. Just the most gorgeous backdrop of any venue- NY harbor , Brooklyn bridge , Brooklyn and Manhattan from a rooftop vantage point.

The most amazing music venue ever! How cool! It was so awesome to see my favorite band on top of a roof under a full moon. I also appreciated a 10 pm curfew because I am an elder emo who goes to bed early. Everything is run so smoothly here. I thought it would be chaos on the escalators after, but it was not a mad dash and everyone was on the ground without any issue.

I wasn't sure what to expect at the pier but it was definitely not this. Pier 17 has a ton of stuff to do. There's multiple restaurants at the pier at the entrance and as you walk down the pier there are a couple of buildings that have multiple restaurants and shops. There is plenty of seating on benches and multi level wide stairs. There was a huge dog meetup when I was here and it was AWESOME! Walking up and down the pier there are great views of the rivers, bridges and Brooklyn skyline. There was a huge lineup that we found out was for a concert so there's also that!

Love going to the concerts at Pier 17! Especially cause it's on a rooftop. I don't think I've disliked any concerts there so far. It's also easy and quick to get drinks. The lounge there is also great if you get the premier access; great unlimited small bites and cocktails.

Wow, what a great night seeing two terrific bands here. Excellent venue! Good acoustics and lighting. Plenty of space. Huge clean bathrooms. Plenty of drink vendors. (Expensive tho) Efficient friendly staff. No hassles getting in or out. Many parking garages nearby and a fair amount of street parking after 7:00. Right next to Fulton St. subway stop and close to City Hall. Shows start on listed time and have to end at 10:00 for curfew. Love this.

Probably the coolest backdrop to any concert I've been too for sure. Drinks are pricey but hey that's Manhattan $27 for a single and $45 for a double. Food there is pretty good also. 10/10 would recommend

Had a great time at the Rooftop at Pier 17, really nice views! Great bathrooms! Food and drinks were reasonably priced. Wish there were more exits. Leaving was a little anxiety inducing with everyone trying to get out through just 2 escalators. Did a VIP package for the artist Tove Lo. Security and Staff was very sweet but didn't seem like everyone was on the same page. A lot of waiting around and Had to re-enter after the meet and greet which was frustrating having to do security multiple times. There was a very odd security guard at the rail that was being very distracting and weird. He was selective with handing out Ponchos and Water, kinda teasing people who were trying to focus on the show. One women really needed a poncho and he kept making excuses and handing them out to other people until finally gave her one. Not sure what his deal was but made the experience less enjoyable. At one point I had to tell him to back off cause he kept trying to get my attention. Even asked a nice person next time to me if she would give me a hug for him. Very uncomfortable. Super disrespectful to the performers, I came to see them not this security guard. Please get better, more focused guards for the rail. All in all good vibes at the venue would definitely come back!

Visited Pier17 for the first time and loved it! It was such a nice and refreshing place in the city especially during this fall season. My main goal really was to see their Pumpkin arch and it was beautiful! From where it is placed, you can also see the Brooklyn Bridge and both together just comes out as a beautiful view. The place can get crowded though but otherwise still fun. There are restaurants such as Malibu Farm and Momofuku and more options inside the Tin Building. The best time to visit may really be fall season where its not too cold and not too hot. Definitely a little less crowd with the kids back to school as well. The entire place is kept fairly clean with lots of space and chairs/benches for crowds to just relax and spend some time there. Its definitely a cool spot and a place you can bring family/friends and visitors for a nice sightseeing option.

I've been to this pretty venue for several events. This is a great rooftop, especially on a nice summer day. If you look south you can see the Statue of Liberty. If you look north you can see the Brooklyn bridge. I find drinks served there to be watered down and nothing to write home about. Food I've had there. While good can be quite surprising. At one event we all ordered empanadas and the people who didn't eat meat got meat empanadas. The people who ordered meat empanadas got meat empanadas. The people who ordered any other empanada got meat. They really just didn't care what they handed people despite clearly placed orders and transactions. The lines for food are so chaotic that it feels like you are lucky to have the privilege of purchasing food at all. Other than that it is great.

Came here super early yesterday as I wanted to beat the crowd and look at the beautiful pumpkin arch. I figured with the night sky and the arches glowing lights- it would be amazing. Look at the amazing and gorgeous views (photos I taken). Just beautiful. I caught the sun rising around 6:22AM on the pier. I wish I could have stay longer but I has to get to work. Waking up an extra 30minutes earlier made these views worth it.

Such a cool area!! Great spot to bring visitors or even a date?! I was here over ten years ago and they have completely transformed Seaport. The surrounding streets are cute, cobblestone and lots of shops and eateries to wander into. The pier itself has a number of shops and restaurants as well. We didn't get a chance to go on the rooftop because they were setting up for a concert (mental note to attend one day!) but the views from the pier of Brooklyn are amazing.

Wow what a great venue for a concert! This beautiful rooftop is first very spacious, no one is brushing up against you all night. Second they have both drinks and food which is a plus if you get hungry or thirsty throughout the show. They are mostly standing room but some people did have places to sit towards the very back. The stage was pretty big and it was fairly easy to see Jason Mraz from anywhere you are standing on the rooftop. Audio was great as well. The staff here was very helpful and courteous. The views of the manhattan and Brooklyn bridges were phenomenal.

Concert was good, but there is very little seating, and it isn't pleasant to pay $80 per ticket and have to stand for four hours. Venue is nice and the view is excellent.

Great venue for a concert but relatively poor execution with the entrance/security check. For a concert that was scheduled to begin at 7pm with doors opening at 6:30pm, we arrived at 6:45pm and waited on a line that circled around the entire complex (and with a lot of people arriving after us). We finally got in at 7:25pm. Ticketmaster had also sent instructions to add the tickets to your wallet on your cellphone and show them from there but the person checking tickets said that didn't work and had everyone go through the Ticketmaster app. Once inside though, the experience was great. There was a good amount of space, the acoustics were fine and food and drinks were readily available for purchase.

Came back to the Pearl last night and had a great evening at the Dante bar with Ryan and Jesus. Both were amazing, loved the cocktails and atmosphere. Will be back soon ! Great cocktails and service we absolutely loved the frozen cocktails !! one was the pina colada sgroppino served with a coconut sorbet Prosecco simply delicious! We also tried the frozen whiskey buck also very good Forgot to mention the live music and beautiful views of the Brooklyn bridge ! Perfect date night spot

This is a very cool venue for concerts. It's easy to get to, and it's a beautiful space. It's not super expensive and a lot of fun. I highly suggest checking out a concert there.

Love this area. Went to the concert venue on the roof. It was such a vibe. It didn't feel overly crowded and the weather was nice. Will def g on back to this venue. Not to mention it was surrounded by so many good restaurants and shops. Nearby there's ice cream shops and a really good Italian restaurant.

Venue is nice, and the river view at night is beyond compare. NOTE WELL: the shows start on time! Traditionally, NYC shows of my era always ran late. Whenever we went out, my friends and I used to try to gauge when the show would start by genre. Rock music? Half hour late minimum. Punk rock show? 1 hour late or more or maybe not at all. Burlesque? 1-1.5 hrs. Drag show? Drag shows are in their own time zone. Like I've waited 3 hours once for a show to start. But pay attention to the stated show time here! I went to see Psychedelic Furs last summer and thought they'd be on NYC time, but missed the opening band X! So upset, esp since the Furs were awful. Just infuriatingly bad. The attached was the best part of the night: impromptu band under the fdr.

There is a mall here or another eatery place. Pier 17 has a multi floor complex that has some of the higher end restaurants located here. It is also a great place to be if you want to get a nice view of Brooklyn Bridge. A great photo spot. The building has 4 floors. In the summer time, there are events at Pier 17 or when weather permits.

Had a great time. The cabin was very comfortable even with crazy wind. There is a tv fireplace inside and it gives you the feeling of being warm. We were very comfortable. Service was quick and friendly. You must create an account and order on your phone. There is a call button if you have questions or need assistance. The portions are not big by any means but they are tasty. The guac and chips was delicious. My daughter had the Mac n cheese and I'd say pass on that. For the price it was not even as good as something out of a box. Overall it was a fun experience. Great places all around the rooftop to get the perfect pic. And the bathrooms are top notch. Not sure there are any better in the city!!

This review is based on a concert...so the rooftop. I came here for Simple Plan and Sum 41. After over two years of delays and cancellations it was finally here! Of course the bands put on an amazing show! The staff working this event were very organized and friendly. I would say the most organized concert I've been too. I also want to thank security for supplying water to us in the pit. It was a very hot day...above 90° and security continued to supply water. Very generous. I would absolutely return here for another concert or an event

Great venue with a great view! Drinks are insanely expensive, and the entrance is a little hard to decipher when first arriving, but overall really fantastic! We had a blast and really appreciated how nice and helpful the staff was.

One of my favorite places for concerts in the summer in NYC. The venue is very open so even when the concert is sold out, you're not crammed in like other venues. Also the views behind the stage with the bridges and skyline are always one of a kind.

The Tin Building along side Pier 17 is amazing!! Worth a visit for sure! A full marketplace inside!

This is a great venue but I was there last night and 5 tequila on the rocks (no mixer) and was barely tipsy. They are clearly watering down their alcohol. At those prices, that's rubbing salt in the wound.

This is a really nice event space! I was really surprised to see how well everything is maintained. I had the privilege of attending a LiveNation show of my friend's band - The Fall of Troy as they headlines for AlexisOnFire. The green rooms were top notch. You felt like you were in a 5 star hotel. The staff were all very nice (security was very extensive) and what can beat listening to music outside on a rooftop in Manhattan?!

We can get an unmatched view of Brooklyn from here. Great for food, pics and fun. It's a great place to just sit and chill.

I came here to get some photos at the Halloween Arch. We arrived here about 5:30, but we didn't even get close to the arch until about 7:30. The pier gives great views of the Bridge and combined with the Halloween-themed arch, it brought out a decent size crowd. However, I think the pier should actually have an employee to monitor the visitors. It appeared some people were attempting to do full photos shoots and disregarded all the other people waiting. Finally, as it got late, I decided to get off the line and just take pictures on the side of the arch/bridge. The people behind us were rushing us, without saying anything. I didn't want to argue that r tell the lady to patient, the same way we had been for two hours, but it lessen my experience and my thoughts of returning in the future. In addition to this rude lady, I had another family claim to have been online and say they were in front of us, it just was ridiculous. We were starving and my friend and myself had our kid(s) with us, but the lounge by the pier appeared to be for adults, not smaller children so we ate elsewhere. The pier/south street seaport look totally different from the last time I've been there--while I appreciate the changes, it doesn't appear to be as family friendly. In short, Greta place to get some pictures but being a side of patience with you, you're going to need it!

After reading the reviews on Yelp I was nervous about what to expect at this rooftop experience. My friend and I had 1pm reservations and enjoyed our visit at R17. The ambience and NYC views were simply beautiful. As a native New Yorker, I'm always in awe of our city views. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. I loved the social distancing from each set up, even though you could hear conversations from guests next to you. I know they heard my conversations because my ass is loud, lol. I'm working on it. I already had a heads up that the food and drink prices were expensive. I liked the fact that there wasn't pressure to order something. Me and my friend ordered the "negroni" frozen cocktail that looked better than it tasted to me. It had a grapefruit taste which was just okay. The drink we both wanted, "froze martini & rossi" wasn't available. You order your food and drinks from your phone. The drinks came out first in less than 5 minutes and shortly after you had your meal. I ordered the grill cheese with fries which was very delicious. My friend had the burger with fries. Thankfully the weather was gorgeous on the day we went. You only have 90 minutes to enjoy your private cabana like area. However, no staff came and gave us reminders that our time was about to be up. We were actually mindful of our own time. When we were packing up to leave that's when a staff came and told us our time expired. The bathrooms are on the lower level and they were very clean. The only thing we didn't like was the green sun umbrellas that appeared very shaky and unstable because it was windy. I would definitely return to R17 because as their website states, it truly felt like "your own patch of paradise."

I enjoyed my visit to the The Greens @ Pier 17. The staff was pleasant from the time we arrived until we departed. The mini lawn chair set up was cute and the were actually comfortable to lounge in. The food was also great. The service was prompt but definitely order your food upon arrival because your seating time is limited to 90 minutes exactly. Also, the food prices were high but typical for Manhattan. Thankfully we visited on a cooler day because the open umbrellas were a scary sight. We asked that our umbrella be left closed. On the rooftop it can get pretty breezy which caused the umbrellas to bounce around a lot! At times it got so windy some umbrellas looked like they were about to snap off. Overall it was a great experience.

Who's making $ during covid-19? Pier 17 is! And for good reason. They've managed to appease to our need to hang out and do SOMETHING but in a safe-ish environment. For winter, they have the cabins that you can rent privately for your small party. The cabins are enclosed but I believe they have a vented system? There's rows and rows of them, like you'd see at the Bryant park Christmas shops or Union sq, with cute string lights and decor. It's perfect for a winter chill. There's plenty of staff to help and they have decent rules in place. Everything is contactless (pretty much) for ordering and payment on the app. Staff drops off food to your cabin door in pre-packaged takeout containers for you to serve yourself. It's a fancy spot with not so fancy elements due to safety but it works. Beers and wines are in cans. Food is actually pretty tasty for being in to-go boxes already. Prices are on the higher end so expect to pay a premium for your experience but it's not over the top. Add that on top of the $50 reservation. The saddest part is that you only have a strict 90 min window... and time can go by fairly quickly.

You definitely go to this place for the ambience. They have great winter cabins which are the perfect Instagram backdrop. Food review: fondue was good, but it was blue cheese which was slight jarring when paired with the veggies. The seafood pasta was decent, but pretty average given the high price point. Drink review: I would highly recommend the mulled cider. It comes in a massive Yeti and is delicious. They also make all their drinks in collaboration with Dante which was excellent.

The Greens is not very welcoming. When we first arrived, we were told that the rep could not find our reservation. Miraculously, when I was checking my email to show the reservation confirmation, he found it. As we walked to our little mini lawn, I looked around and noticed other parties around me. I say this, because some parties that were there BEFORE we were, stayed there, PAST when we left... I guess different people get the 90 minute limit applied differently... but more on that later in this review--. As soon as we sat down, we scanned the menu bar on our phones and ordered a feast. In fact, we ordered more than once, tipping more than once. We got so much things from the menu, that they did not fit on the small little table. You would think that because we were spending so much money, they would offer an amazing experience.  Our food (from the same order) did not come out all together, so I forgot to take pictures of everything. The issue with having food come out at different times is not the pictures... instead, that if you go with a large party, and you are not sharing your food, some people will begin to eat and finish earlier than others. -- This makes an uncomfortable/odd situation. On top of that, when they came to our mini lawn to bring us more stuff and they saw that some of our trays were done, they should have removed it in order to make more space for the new food.-- That was not the case; they just left everything on the table and some people had their empty cups and dirty napkins flying out of their mini lawn (because of the breeze). Maybe if they put a little bit of energy into keeping things clean as they go, they would not have to harrass their guest an hour into their reservation... When we were about an hour into our reservation, a girl came to tell us that we approaching the 90 minute mark... like really? We have another 30 minutes! After about five minutes, another rep came to us to tell us to start wrapping up because time was almost up. When I told her that I was aware of the time and that someone had just came to us, she responded in an arrogant and rude manner... She told me that she knew and that she was just doing her job because they have to prepare for the next reservation. So her job description involves making people uncomfortable so that they leave fast and they could set up for the next reservation?? The proper thing to do is to space out the reservations with enough time to clean up in between... not to make people leave before their 90 minutes. -- I UNDERSTAND that some people do not pay attention to the time, but there is no reason why two people came to us within five minutes of eachother... when we had over 20 minutes left in our reservation! Ohhh... and the party next to us was there before us and stayed after us. We felt so unwelcomed, that we left about 20 minutes early and did not finish what we had on our table. Ohhh... and it seems that their freezer does not work. I got a popsicle and it was melting when I received it.

The semi-recently renovated Pier 17 is an indoor/outdoor mall at South Street Seaport. As a full-time vagrant, let me recommend this as a place for loitering. There's a variety of outdoor seating options along the pier. The north side has a view of three bridges. The east side has a view of Brooklyn. The south side has a view of Governor's Island. There's such good people watching. So many #influencers doing elaborate photo shoots! A mix of tourists and miserable commuters getting on and off the ferry! So many lost tourists! So many awkward dates! There appears to be wifi, but I was too busy people watching to fully investigate. If the wifi here is sketchy, cross the street and do your downloading at South Street Seaport. Or buy a book at McNally Jackson if you're doing a digital detox. The eateries and bars downstairs are all open to the water, which is perfect for life in the age of covid. There's also the Fulton Market across the street (if it's open, or the Key Food further up on Fulton if it's not). Go ahead and eat your CVS candy and drink your booze out of a Nalgene you found on a stoop, smug in the knowledge that you're not paying $15 for a cocktail and you're even closer to the water. Manhattan is not exactly bursting with public bathrooms. Pier 17's toilets, on the 4th floor, very likely have the best view of any public restroom in NYC. There are a lot of them and the building is new, so they should be nice. Alas, they have been visited by a plague of tourists with weak thigh muscles and bad aim. If you can't handle the hover, please clean up after yourself.

Lots of open outdoor spaces with magnificent views & photo spots. Many seats & some shade. The new pier is higher end & significantly more expensive than the previous pier. It's a shame there aren't vendors at moderate & less expensive price points.

The food and the service was great, the host was kind and friendly. The vibe was great.

Was disappointed I wasn't able to get a reservation here during the summer, but I ended up coming here in December 2020 for the cabins. Hands down one of the cutest and most memorable experiences I've had in NYC! It's perfect for dates but also gatherings with friends or family. They seat 2-10 people, and it's so cozy inside. I was wearing a sleeveless top and felt comfortably warm inside the cabin. Not to mention, the music, virtual fireplace as well as the smell of wood (furniture) help transport you to a real life cabin. After we checked in, we were led to cabin #6 (good views of the water) and given two complimentary sea salt dark chocolate bars from the sponsor (Lincoln). We ordered the hot toddy, buttered rum, creamy tomato soup, lobster pasta, and chocolate & peanut butter layered cake. The food and drinks were amazing--cocktails are from Dante, and they were pretty strong! I loved the food as well, and would definitely recommend the lobster pasta. Everything comes in compostable containers (including utensils). Definitely try to get a reservation here--log on right at 10am ET on the Monday before the next week!

I can't wait for this place to really open. Brings back so many happy memories from our teens and 20s. Except it's much better looking now. There are a couple restaurants open. And plenty of outdoor space. In the back of the first floor is the "Heineken deck." It has plenty of benches to sit and relax on. They even have sail shades above each bench. The whole deck is serviced by 2 beer kiosks, selling Heineken and a few other drinks. The best part of the roof deck, called the "greens." You can reserve a small patch of green lawn aka "mini lawns" for 1.5 hours and enjoy your own piece of green space. You can even order food from their restaurant and have it sent you to your "lawn." Very nice. And the views are awesome, of course-you're at the seaport, with views of downtown, the Bk Bridge, and Bk across the water. Scan further out, you can see Governor's Island and even see a little speck of the Statue of Liberty.

I booked The Greens at Pier 17 for my bday in December. Private cabin dining in a beautiful, cozy atmosphere, however every time the door opens the cold air comes in and the small heater inside is not enough on a cold winter night. All orders are placed and payed for thru a QR code. Cheese fondue & tomato soup were really good Truffle grilled cheese was ok, did not taste like truffle at all Lobster pasta was surprisingly good Mixed drinks were terrible! Stick with beer or wine Staff was not friendly or helpful. 90 minute time limit was not enough time- we ordered dessert but had to take to go since our time was up Definitely not worth a $50 booking fee

Great time at The Greens! Service was quick, very kind, and I love how they put this all together, socially distanced and all. I wish most places had the opportunity to implement something like this, even pre-COVID and hopefully post-COVID. The only reason why I docked a star is because of the food quality vs. cost. High cost for average quality popular American food. Otherwise the system of ordering was efficient and quick, which was much appreciated.

Maybe I'm being nostalgic but I miss the old Pier 17. Yes a lot of the stores in the mall were chains but there were also some great places inside to eat like Cabana. It was also a nice oasis for those working nearby to take a break and enjoy the views or do a little shopping. A lot has changed here. The mall was completely replaced with a cold stark building. The only thing open right now is the rooftop where they host concerts and events. There are no more street performers on the pier (if you've never seen the guy that stuff himself into a small box you really missed out). There are still a few restaurants across the streets as well as the museum. I look forward to visiting again when things open up. As of now it's pretty sad here.
