Ordered the pad thai and pad kee Mao, they both had good flavor but both portions were in small half containers and had filler on the bottom. For $18 each I'd skip it. Pin Kao on Rainbow is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the northwest area! During this visit, we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, Thai beef salad, and the beef jerky. Service is always great and I love the ease of getting to this location.

Went here on a weekday during dinner time. Beautiful establishment. There was a birthday going on when we arrived, so it was a little loud. But service speed and food made up for it! We ordered Chicken Kra Pow and Chicken Pad Thai. I've eaten at many Thai restaurants in town and this is the best Pad Thai I've ever had! Also Kra Pow was exactly what I expected and more. It was fragrant, filling, aromatic, and flavorful. Worth multiple visits and worth trying what's on the menu. Yes, we finished everything on our plates because it was so good!

The To-Go order I picked up from Pin Kaow last night was delicious. I ordered the Duck Curry (Spice LVL 5), the Shrimp Rolls and a Thai Tea. The Thai Tea was strong and flavorful and the best one I've ever had as well as the Duck Curry being that this was my first time trying any type of curry. The curry gravy was rich and full of flavor. Total was around $45

My new favorite restaurant! I've never been huge into Thai food, but this place has changed my mind. We went to check it out after doing some shopping nearby, and I'm so glad we did. The food was so delicious and the service was great. Nice atmosphere, too. The soft shell crab salad was like nothing we've ever had before, and I recommend it . We had ordered enough for leftovers, and our server, Pla, packed it up nicely for us. We will for sure be back !

Good solid restaurant with a decent size menu many options many choices. I would come back here again.A+ … this restaurant just celebrated 25 years in Las Vegas and this is a testament to the quality of food and service that they offer to the Las Vegas community

It's been a long time since I last visited this restaurant and just like before, it did not disappoint. Forget the location, but as you step inside, you are in a different world. Warmly greeted upon entering and seated quickly. Service was good from start to finish and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Had green papaya salad, chicken pad thai and pork green curry. Requested level 6 spice and I would say the papaya salad was at that level...the other two dishes were very mild. Flavors were distinct and separate. Servings were adequate and served at the proper temperatures. I look forward to the next time!!

Love it! Great attentive service, authentic Thai food. We went with friends and had curry, catfish, pad Thai, and a couple desserts. Everything was fresh, spicy ( I ordered my dish an 8 which wasn't spicy enough I should have ordered a 15. LOL). Absolutely try the sticky rice with mango dessert, and the Thai tea creme brulee!

So it's my Sunday hangover ritual to get Pin Kaow's pumpkin curry for takeout and let me tell ya, it hits the spot every single time. I order it pretty consistently, once every week or so (even when I'm not hungover lol) and it never gets old. I've had a many other things on the menu too and absolutely everything is amazing. The servers are always attentive and kind. Plus it's a nice little restaurant inside, well decorated and relaxing! Love this spot. Oh but just a heads up, their spice levels are not very spicy. I usually get spicy 10/10 and there's still very little heat. But then again, I'm a gal who puts sriracha on everythang! This is not a complaint though because if you like spicy spicy, just ask them for a side of their chili flake blend or their liquid chili paste. Not only does it add to the flavor of the dish itself, it's got some decent heat!

I've always enjoyed coming here as the food is delicious and it has a great atmosphere. However the last couple of trips have not been the greatest. My food was okay but just not as good as I remember it being in recent years.

Probably my favorite Thai restaurant on the planet. Everything is made with great ingredients and tastes really good. We come here often and always leave very satisfied. The restaurant is decorated nicely and the service is fast and attentive. Highly recommend.

My family and I ate here last night. My cousin and his wife dine here often, we are visiting and this is the place they recommended. We loved it! To start, my husband and I ordered the Thai BBQ Pork Skewers, Cucumber Salad and Thai Coffee. The salad was so fresh and crisp, I loved the jalapenos combined with cucumber. The skewers were incredible! Very tasty and so flavorful. The iced coffee was seriously so good. For my entree I ordered the Bangkok Seafood Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). It was delicious! There was so much seafood. I love spicy food and I ordered a level 7 spice, I could have gone to 10. This dish was really filling and hit all the right spots. The service here was so wonderful. There was 9 of us in our party and we had plenty of room. We had called ahead for a reservation. This place was busy, but didn't feel overwhelming or packed. The bathroom was very clean. Parking was very easy, there is a parking lot.

The food here is always good and reasonably priced and the decorations inside give a traditional vibe. I ordered the duck with rice, papaya salad, spring rolls, and tom kha soup. The service was good until the end. I dont know who the dude was, but when I was packing up the remainder of my soup to go, I was using the ladle to get the large chunks of food out so it doesnt splash on me and either a manager or whoever came to the table, reached over me and grabbed the bowl and started dumping it into the carry out container. Luckily, nothing splashed on me, but that was definitely rude. At least a say, "Let me help you," or something. Dont just come over and grab that bowl of soup while I have it in my hands and start pouring it. I was definitely put off by this, which sucks because it's really a decent restaurant otherwise.

I love this restaurant, sometimes they are not consistent & the food is not the same, for example on one occasion the lemon grass fish one of our favorite items was grossly overcooked maybe it's different cooks who knows , consistency is important, otherwise overall a good restaurant.

The food here was absolutely delicious, I had the crab meat fried rice at a level four of spice and it was perfect. Well seasoned but not too spicy, I would definitely order again. The service was great, our server was very tentative to our needs. I would say this restaurant has a date night ambiance. It could be casual but you could also dress up a little bit if you'd like.

I paid $17.95 for mongolian beef to go for my kid and when he ate if hours later he asked if I ate some of his food because there was LITTLE meat?! Thats ridiculous!

I have been eating Thai food here since I was a child. A true staple to the Las Vegas community. The service is always wonderful and efficient. This was the first time I ordered take out and the portions were exactly the same as dine in. Although nothing tastes as delicious as dining in. Make sure to give their chicken satay and green papaya salad a try to start your meal. The lemon chicken is the perfect amount of sour that compliment the crispy lightly battered pieces. The combination pad Thai is one of my favorites but I always ask for extra peanuts because why not. This place gets really busy though, best time to go is between 2-5pm otherwise it's best to make a reservation.

Absolutely perfect. Amazing service and top shelf food. Currys, sea bass. Noodles all were outstanding. Hope to return here next trip out.

I just have to say pin kaow is my favorite Thai restaurant in vegas with Archie's being ever so slightly under it. This place is consistently good. Food is always hot. The waiters were attentive and worked well together. They like to be quick but if you need anything they are quick to help. The restaurant is dark but it looks like your nicer traditional Thai place. Lunch specials are on point!

Food- ordered the crab Rangoon it mostly has cheese in it not very. Much crab 6 5/10 and the soup it was in a Tom yum cup. I recommend paying the extra few bucks to get the hotpot. $12 for 3 pieces of shrimp and they were small in size. It tasted good though 8/10 the serving was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Service food was delivered quickly 10/10 Ambiance they play soft music which is. Nice. The voices of people talking is actually louder but it's lunch time everyones on their brea

We got seated right away. We ordered beef jerky, pad see ew with chicken and shrimp and chicken wings. They are busy for dinner. They served beef jerky first then chicken wings then pad thai! but we didn't order pad thai so we had to wait again for them to serve pad see ew. We like the butterfly tea flower and thai tea but they don't refill and they put a lot of ice so when you order these drinks tell them you want the ice on another cup so you get more for your drinks The server forgot to bring one more water in the table and we asked 3 times they never brought it. They do not have mango and sticky rice right ow because mangoes are not in season Ambiance is a little crowded inside.

Is there a spice level above 10 that I don't know about? I asked for a 10 and this was probably a two. Was not spicy at all. The pumpkin curry was subpar, I could not tell if it was pumpkin or potato inside the curry. There was no pumpkin flavor to the dish. I also ordered the chef special noodles but it was a salad more than anything and I barely got any noodles since we split the dish. The best tasting dish was the fried rice. I used to live on this side of town four years ago and this was my go-to place, but the quality has gone down... I definitely will not be back when in the area. There's better Thai food out there, sorry.

Cam here with family, since they've been here before I figured why not? HOWEVER, it was Valentine's Day and theyvhad a Valentine's special going on and we arrived at 6:30....big mistake. It was busy, they were slow. Took 5 minutes standing in front of their podium before being recognized, about 5 minutes to be sat but most of all, 13 minutes before we could even order our drinks, let alone our food. However, when the food arrived it was very delicious. So you really need to try this place, just DONT go on a holiday after 6pm, holy smokes..........

The best Thai food in the Summerlin area. Perfectly prepared, super clean restaurant and really nice employees.

Had lunch here with my colleagues since we were in the area. The outside of the restaurant seemed a little sketch to be honest, but once I walked in, it was a whole different vibe. Service was okay. Not that I or my colleagues were expecting a wine and dine type of experience, but our server just seemed to rush us when ordering our food. When we were ordering, he wasn't writing anything down, but he did repeat our order correctly back to us. The only thing was, when we got our order my food was the only one that came out correctly and my two colleagues had to get their food redone because it was wrong. Food was good. I had the panang curry with chicken and rice. Decent portion for the price. Definitely would come back here again, just maybe get a different server.

I love their food here. Beef salad is my fave. All the noodles and fried rice are great too. It's just super busy here , so I have to order and come earlier to avoid the rush. I just wish they were on UE or DD, so I don't have pick it up myself. I'm not paying for another food delivery service just for this.

Oh my God! This was the first thing I thought when I first walked in the door. Pin Kaow is the diamond in the rough. From the outside, you would not know that this seems to be a fancy restaurant. This place is really elegant. I really want to come back. The service here is really nice. The staff was very attentive to us and picking up our plates when we were done eating. We got the pot stickers, green salad, and garlic stir fry. Everything was really good. I think that the garlic stir fry is a little different. It didn't seem like a stir fry. The rice is served on the side. They ask you what spice level you want, we requested a 4 and it was just right. I am definitely going to return. I hope to bring my friends and family here.

One of my go to spots for Thai food. My family and I have ordered here for years. We love their Kung Pao Chicken, Panang curry, fried rice, and Thai Iced Tea.

The Food is outstanding here. Consistently good with lots of options for gluten sensitivities. The service is always on point both with take out or sit down. Always enjoy meals here without worry. Highly recommend!

What an old school gem on the west side. This location has been here forever and it's still great. I love how authentic it feels inside. The restaurant is clean and service is attentive. I ordered the duck and it was delicious. My appetizer was a salad and that was so filling and felt really fresh with all the lovely greens. When I'm back in the area and looking for Thai food, I would love to stop back in!

We stopped here for lunch after spending morning/ early afternoon at Las Vegas mini gran prix. This restaurant is walkable from here (.5 miles) . Ambience: has Thai feeling and nicely done Service : attentive And friendly staff Food: chicken satay ( moist and good) , drunken noodles - needed more flavor , cashew nut with fried tofu ( good and had good spiciness) Sticky rice mango ( very nice perfect sweetness) Portion size was decent. Beer in chilled glass was nice touch

Service was nice and prompt. Penang curry is delicious with fresh green beans that added a nice crunch with the coconut milk. My friend got the duck dish and he loved it. Nice atmosphere and quality food. I want to go back and try other things.

Good food. One of the down sides is the service is absolutely horrible. Usually the food is good. Especially the mango sticky white rice but like the rest of the reviews here I noticed the food did go down in quality a bit since my last time eating. Hopefully it's a one time thing and does not become a constant problem.

A quiet, authentic thai spot, but lack luster flavors. The atmosphere was authentic upon entering, but the food didn't provide well. The Crispy Coconut Shrimp tasted like normal fried shimp, no coconut taste at all. The Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wrap had really good flavor. I did not enjoy the Crying Tiger Beef ($25), which is a New York Strip. It tasted like low-grade beef. It lacked immense flavor and seasoning. We had high hopes for this since it was under the "Chef's Suggestion". It also came out at room temperature, not hot. The Tom Kah was delicious and refreshing. The lemongrass citrus really came through. Overall, lovely presentation but out of the 7 dishes we ordered. Only 2 were memorable. The others needed a lot of flavor elevation or better quality ingredients. The staff was lovely and cannot complain about the interior vibe at all, it really was just the lack luster flavor of the foods.

We decided to try Thai here in Las Vegas on this visit. I picked this place due to some good YouTube vid reviews. Inside is very nice and , well, Thai looking. The menu had most of all the normal Thai dishes we've come to expect, but some unusual ones that I've never seen before as well. Service was very friendly and helped with the menu. We did get the usual Pad Thai and a Thai salad and a couple of other dishes for our party of 4. I'll have to say, the food here is way better than he Thai choices I have in the little CA town where I'm living. My town we just have 1 Thai place. I evjoyed my meal here at Pin Kaow.

We have dined here for over 20 years and always satisfied, with the exception of our last visit. One of the entrees only had 2 shrimp when it used to have 5-6. I understand the price of food is higher, but I don't expect skimpy portions. The area where we were seated was extremely cold. It was 60 outside and they had the A/C on, not comfortable for eating. For some reason, they wouldn't turn it off on that side but they offered to move us to a table on the other side by the kitchen. That was during appetizers so it was a hassle. It's unfortunate because they used to always be voted the best Thai food in Vegas.

Decent food and good beer selection, but sadly I will not be coming back. I love spicy food. I ordered my food at a 7/10 heat level, and my ethnic friend along with me got the same meal and also a 7/10 heat level. His food was delicious and was actually pretty spicy. Mine had literally 0 spice and all, I would not even rate it a 1/10 on the spice level. I get Thai food for the heat so I will not be returning.

Came here for a quick bite with my cousin. I seen this place a couple times and never tried it out. We got seated very quickly and our server got our orders right away and food came out super fast. We enjoyed our meal- we got a green curry, pad Thai, and chow mien, we also had some appetizers- the cucumber salad, potstickers, and spring rolls. The price for everything I think is reasonable - I would definitely come again.

The spring rolls were excellent. I ordered a pad Thai that disappointed. On a spice scale of 10 I tried 7 thinking be safe add spice. It tasted like a pound of sugar was in sauce. Even after dumping spoon fulls of spice it was still sweet. The veg was limp and despite good servers this is not a place I would eat at again.

I am told this Thai restaurant has been around for awhile! I can believe it because every time we go, it has good steady dine in and takeaway business! It's easy to see why. Food is good, authentic and service the same! We've ordered coconut shrimp, Pad Thai, Massaman Curry and of course the sticky rice and mango dessert. Go for it and try them out. It is sure to please!

Beautiful restaurant! But that's where my satisfaction ended I was disappointed in my lunch meal with the sour coconut soup(not the worst but different), flavorless eggroll , and pad Thai that tasted like a burned pan and was more on the sour and flavorless side . Thanks for the lunch but I won't be returning!

Came here after a friend and I decided it was too far to walk to Arbys . This place was right across the street from our hotel and boy are we glad we found this place!!! We knew it would be a hit when it was busy at lunch time with the locals! We shared some cold filtered sake and crab rangoon. It's probably one of the best crab rangoons I've ever had! I got the beef hell curry and got spice level 10 !!! Just phenomenal! My friend got the crab fried rice and it was delicious!!! We were completely satisfied with our meal and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful! This is a must try if you are in the vegas area!!

After an extended time of me not posting any reviews, I've returned to give my thoughts on what I consider one of the most surprising places I've been to in recent memory. Thai food is something that I enjoy, but I tend to not seek it out that much, especially given that I have a favorite Thai restaurant in my part of town, in Henderson. However, errands brought me to this part of town -- and to Pin Kaow, which is considered one of the "OG" Thai restaurants in Las Vegas. My mother was the one who thought of this place, and I will admit that I had my concerns, especially given that this restaurant is part of an unassuming and slightly rundown-looking corner of Rainbow and Lake Mead. Boy, was I wrong. The interior of the restaurant definitely made me feel like I was in Thailand, and it was busy! One of the things that my mother and I noticed throughout our meal was that there were people coming in almost constantly; this rush didn't let up until we were finished and ready to go, so that alone tells you how popular this place is with the locals. In any case, we ended up ordering quite a lot of food -- the chicken satay, the wor wonton soup, massaman curry, pad see ew, their fried rice, the Gulf of Thailand, and their duck curry. ( As one could guess, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs at the time. ) To say that we enjoyed everything would be AN UNDERSTATEMENT -- one of the most surprising dishes that we had there was the chicken satay. In many other Thai places in town, the satay is often dry, tasteless, and rather sad. Not here, though -- the chicken was so moist and juicy and flavorful that even my mother, who doesn't typically like satay, finished hers off faster than I blinked! Their wonton soup was also really delicious as well; packed with plenty of meat, vegetables, and wontons, it was easily one of the best soups I've had anywhere in town. For the main courses, my personal favorite standouts were the duck curry and the fried rice; the duck curry in particular is something that I don't usually see at other Thai restaurants, and it was just as good as I was hoping it would be! About the only thing that we would change next time is the spice level. My mother and I asked for no spice in our food, but in hindsight, having some spice would have enhanced the dishes further. They were still quite good regardless, though! When it came to service, we did have to flag down a server multiple times to get what we asked for, though admittedly, I can understand them being a bit rushed because of the sheer number of people who had come in to eat. As she works in this part of town, my mother considers Pin Kaow one of her favorite Thai restaurants in the Valley, and after my experience there, I can understand why. It truly is special, and I am a convert -- it's even made my personal favorite list of Thai restaurants in town, along with other favorites like Siri Thai in Henderson and Arawan Thai Bistro and Dessert in central Las Vegas. If you've never come here before, please do yourself a favor and try this place. You'll love it!

I've been coming to this restaurant for 5 years. Every time I'm in the mood for Thai food either is noodles , rice or curry this is my first choice. They have a really nice menu where you can see all the pictures. Decoration is nice. It's a nice local restaurant. I only give 4 stars cause prices are not the best for the size of the portions and service is a little off sometimes but food quality is consistent.

By far one of my favorite/hidden gems, located next to a nail shop and a bar it's a bit hard to miss. Food is always delicious full of flavor. Todays Beef Salad was just right, you are able to request the spicy level and we ordered with extra sauce. Rangoon was perfectly cooked. The inside of the restaurant is quiet and lights are dim it's an enjoyable space. Customer service was very nice, we got service quickly and they stayed on top of refilling our drinks.

First time dining here. The restaurant has a nice decor. Lots of wood if that's your thing. But it's very tasteful. I ordered 4 dishes (photos are attached to the review) - Pad Thai with Chicken $(12.95): No complaints here. It was sweet and tangy with that traditional tamarind flavor. Served with crushed peanuts and bean sprouts on the side. - Red Curry with Chicken ($12.95): Tasted nice and Creamy. Only 1 bowl of rice. Didn't think it was enough to accompany the amount of curry you get. - Rad Na with Pork ($12.95): I could taste the char on the wide noodles (which I like). It gives the noodles character. The sauce seemed the right amount of sweetness to me. One thing to note: this was the thickest Rad Na sauce I've ever encountered. It's quite gelatinous. It provides weight and a mouth feel. Not sure if I like it so thick. - Mongolian Beef ($14.95): The dish tasted just fine. I think the dish was a bit light on the beef. It was definitely plentiful in vegetables. Comes to with 1 bowl of rice too. Order more rice if you like to eat it with your entrees. Overall, the experience was about a 4 out of 5. I'd come here again if I'm in the area.

Good local Thai restaurant. The green curry was great for lunch and with all the other options you don't have to keep to one favorite. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Relaxing atmosphere.

Hits the spot if you're craving thai! ~Food~ 1) Pot stickers: 5/5, I was so ecstatic to find potstickers that don't have pork! These come filled with chicken and an amazing dipping sauce that you don't want to part with. 100% would recommend and 100% will be making this a staple in my usual order 2) Pad See Ew w/chicken: 5/5, this dish is my go to. I've gotten it multiple times and every time I convince myself to try something different, I always default back to this. Rice noodles sautéed with veggies and a delicious marinade, it is my fav take out dish. 3) Panang Curry w/ chicken: 5/5, very similar to a red curry but with a hint of sweetness. The vegetables tasted fresh and added a great crunch to the sauce. This comes with rice but inevitably you will end up with more curry than rice; don't worry, it tastes just as great as leftovers. ~Service~ Excellent. Our food came out on time and it was all fresh and ready to devour. Our server even added an extra cup of rice for us to take home with the leftover curry which was the best. ~Location~ Located in the plaza opposite of Chick Fil A. Parking lot with ample parking. Overall, I would (and have) come here again! It is on my list of thai places to recommend to friends.

This neighborhood Thai restaurant is one of my favorite spots to get my Thai fix in. While it is a small establishment, their food never leaves me feeling without. My go to is the Tom Kah soup, Pad Thai either with shrimp or tofu, Butterfly Flower Tea and mango sticky rice. I have tried their Crispy Calamari, Shrimp Rolls, and their Sea Bass with Garlic. My food has always been prepared correctly and delicious. The service is a hit and miss. Sometimes the staff is friendly and sociable and other times, somewhat off putting. There is ample parking but this place can get very busy during popular meal times so be prepared for a wait.
