"We like the Pizza Lobo in Logan Square for the following reasons: They have good pizza-by-the-slice, pitchers of beer, and a large outdoor patio that’s perfect during the two weeks of nice weather Chicagoans can count on every year. And their Andersonville location is no different—down to its rectangular dining room with a large wooden bar, and stained glass light fixtures that make it feel like a basement from the '70s. The best slice is the Borgata with calabrian chile honey and pepperoni, but if you come with a large group, order one of their pizzas that are only available as whole pies, like the Coal Miner with vodka sauce, pancetta, and smoked provolone. Plus, they’re open until midnight." - sam faye, adrian kane, john ringor
"If you just want to sit with your dog outside, drink some cocktails, and eat delicious pizza, go to Pizza Lobo in Logan Square. They serve Neapolitan pies, and you’ll find red sauce options like the borgata with Calabrian chile honey, and white pies like the bianca with mozz and ricotta. Plus, their large patio is partially covered, so you won’t have to worry about your dog’s sexy blowout getting rained on." - adrian kane
"Pizza Lobo’s original Logan Square location has great pizza-by-the-slice, pitchers of beer, and a large outdoor patio. And their Andersonville location is the same, including an enormous back patio that has firepits, astroturf, and (probably) a bunch of cute dogs. They serve thin crust (for Chicago at least) pies, and have solid red sauce options like the Borgata (ricotta, basil, and Calabrian chile honey), and white pies. Plus, they're open until midnight." - adrian kane, veda kilaru, john ringor
"We would have pointed Sydney in another direction for a NY-style slice (like Jimmy’s in Lincoln Square), but considering how much commuting she already had to do on the train, perhaps Pizza Lobo was based on convenience. But Lobo is serviceable and has two locations in Logan Square and Andersonville. You’ll find options like the Borgata (pepperoni, Calabrian chile honey, and basil), and white pies topped with ricotta. The charred and curled pepperoni featured on the show looked better than any we’ve ever eaten here." - adrian kane, nick allen
"Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) blissfully chows down on a slice of pepperoni pizza while standing in front of Pizza Lobo’s takeout window, making sure viewers know that Chicago isn’t just devoted to deep dish. She also tries to poach some workers, catching a break in the alley that leads to Lobo’s kitchen. The restaurant also has a location in Andersonville and both offer large patios with fire pits and bocce courts, serving hot cocktails in the winter and frozen ones year-round." - Ashok Selvam
