The 9 Best Pizza Places In Denver 2024 - Denver - The Infatuation

"No, Pizzeria Leopold isn’t in Denver, but what’s a 15-minute detour west when pizza and cannoli are involved? The blistered, thin-but-still-sturdy crust is great, but it’s the toppings that make Leopold—part pizzeria and part Italian grocer—worth the drive. Choose from Palisade peaches, River Bear candied bacon, house-made meatballs, chicken cutlets, and roasted eggplant—just maybe not all on the same pizza. (Or on the same pizza. You do you.) Since you drove all that way, it’s best to settle into the cozy dining room, grab a beer, a pistachio cannoli, and pick up some Italian groceries and cold cuts on your way out." - allyson reedy

Denver’s Best Pizza Restaurants | Eater Denver

"The seats at the bar of this Lakewood successor to Deli Italia are the best in the house, offering an unobstructed view of pie after pie being assembled from start to finish — and what a finish it is, courtesy of beautifully blistered crusts that glisten with a brush of olive oil beneath the likes of garlic sauce, speck, spinach, and pepperoncini or goat cheese, roasted eggplant, arugula, and balsamic reduction." - Paul Albani-Burgio

A Lakewood stalwart reborn from Deli Italia, this independently owned spot bakes blistered pies and Italian subs with market-sourced ingredients. Westword chronicled the rebrand and community ties; locals come for cannoli, charry crusts, and classic deli comforts.

Google
Just landed in town hungry and looked for some good pizza. This was great pizza and then some. Spent half my life in Chicago and travel to New York often and this place is among the best pizzas we’ve had! Meatballs are spectacular. Focaccia too.

Jeff

Google
They get the A,C,D from me. A. Service. Very friendly work well with that they got. C. Food. It's alright. It's definitely not mind blowing or memorable. Garlic knots were drenched in half solidified butter. And my wife's chicken parm sandwich was rubbery and cold. D. Atmosphere. I get they have to work with the space they have. But, when you're literally touching elbows with strangers at the weird community high chair seating, its not fun. It's also VERY loud. Overall. It's just not my cup of tea. Theres better pizza and Atmosphere in Denver.

KIMBERLY O.

Google
Very disappointed. Was the first Thursday night football, fairly busy. Half order garlic knots came out and were pretty hard. Ordered two individual pizzas, bit came out pretty over cooked. The staff and manager were so rude yelled at my friend. Waiter that’s the way Sicilian pizza is, manager said just so busy hard to rotate the pizzas properly. Will never go back. Pushy staff like hurry up and order, hurry up pay. Not worth the money.

Liv R

Google
There’s a reason they were voted best pizza recently. The food is top notch, including the salads and garlic knots. They have seen a large influx of business, so there are some challenges when it comes to service. We waited an hour for a table because there are several 6-top tables and plenty of parties of 2. We barely saw our server and I sat with an empty glass for about half the meal. We were not able to get focaccia to go or dessert because it was all sold out for the night by the time we could order. I might come back for carry out.

Google
Absolutely delicious. Their homemade sourdough and pizza crust is second to none. Ambience inside and out is super cute. Great patio and view of the mtns and sunset. Pro tip- if you’re lactose intolerant/dairy free/vegan they have a cashew burrata that is outstanding. I don’t normally like nondairy alternatives like that but you wouldn’t even know it was cashew. Absolutely delicious.

Google
The pizza was great. I had a 10 inch Roni and the crust was so crispy and delicious. We also had the focaccia appetizer and the EVOO with balsamic vinegar to dip, yum! Service was pretty great, the ladies could have been maybe a tad more friendly but it is what it is. Won’t deter me from visiting in the future.

Google
What began as a party of 6 quickly turned into a group of 30+ at the end of a youth football game. We couldn’t give the place a heads up as it happened in real time! Let me say the entire staff handled this unexpected rush so well, thank you so very much. On top of that, the kitchen did a fantastic job, the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for being so accommodating. Thank you to everyone at Pizzeria Leopold, you are amazing! I can say that we were lucky to have been accommodated as they are definitely a small restaurant.

Shawn M. M.

Google
They ran out of the bread for sandwiches around 6:30pm on a Saturday so we ordered pizza instead which was delicious! Their bread comes from a bakery so when they run out, they're out. Plenty of toppings options for the pizza. They do serve beer, wine and cocktails but there are no fountain drinks, only bottled/canned options.

Yelp
This was my 2nd....3rd time to Pizzeria Leopold! I never LIKE PIZZA IN MY LIFE, until I happened one day recently to pop into Pizzeria Leopold!! Now I am addicted!! Must workout more!! Our host and magnificent Creator & Chef Chris, is absolutely the most accommodating owner I have ever met, even when he had to apprise me of a correction in my first review (as my face turned red) Chris is talented; "Perfection in Pizza crafting via Chris and the entire staff!" The Bruata Salad is created with a very special dressing; a reduction of Pear & Wine, the Wine reduction is reduced further to adding a magnificent flavor over the greens - savory beets, pears and Brutata cheese, adding slices of homespun Focaccia with Olive oil drizzled for the flawless flavor and soft texture in one's mouth. I wish to purchase the entire square loaf of the Focaccia!! The choices are endless as to combinations in your own pizza (as read in many commented reviews.) Crafting their own Pesto is a secret, smoothed to perfection in taste. The flavors of the pesto and cheese are then augmented by each customer's personal choices of toppings, melding together - a taste of Heaven is the experience. I personally love Kalamata olives, Basil and Cherry Tomatoes! Yet, any vegetarian would be more than welcomed, now that I finally found a Pizzeria with so much talent and love in their food. Never passing up the "Bruatta salad with sassy Beets. This is might be a neighborhood stop, yet people from all around Colorado counties come to enjoy the exemplary service, warm smiles and welcoming greetings as one walks through their doors. There are varying seating, including a Bar with two TV's and TV's on the main dining room wall. One never misses a game yet the sound is palpable for those of us who wish to work; free WIFI! The ambiance is casual and Welcoming!! Flavors waffling through the filled restaurant, the aromas of "mastery blending of foods" with PASSION! Nothing has been missed from the food, welcoming in the front door, checking to see if you are enjoying your food, and a warm goodbye when leaving. The Parking area is ample, in an unpresuming area SE corner of 20th & Wadsworth Wheat Ridge.

Yelp
Stopped in to pick up lunch to go on the bicycle today. I had a 1/2 and 1/2 chocolate chip/pistachio cannoli and a mint mojito kombucha to snack on while I waited. I can confirm that it is the true breakfast of champions! I also got a chicken parm sub, beet salad, pear burrata, and a gnarly mountain root beer cookie to go. Yes it's enough of for lunch and dinner and that's what I'm banking on. The chicken parm is always fantastic and I love the raspberry vinaigrette on the beet salad. I haven't dipped in to the pear burrata and focaccia just yet, but I know they'll be phenomenal too.

Yelp
Finally made it hear with the family on a hungry afternoon after school. I read many yelp reviews on the best hi have try so we ended up with the Italian sandy on focaccia, meatballs, arugula salad, garlic knots, cheese pizza and a cannoli for dessert! The food was tasty and my favorites were the meatballs and salad and surprisingly delicious cannoli! Service was attentive and I liked that they had a full bar. Ambiance was casual and I can only imagine how packed it gets later in the evening! I would have to say that although the focaccia had good flavor, it would have been a whole new level if it was warm and soft!

Yelp
Great service! Best cheesy garlic bread I've ever had and great atmosphere! We will definitely make this one of our staples moving forward.
google avatar

Yelp
Portions were very large. Focaccia is super fresh, crusty outside/ moist inside. The 14" Pizza has homemade crust, ample toppings, excellent flavor profile. Tried their Barbera wine: chewy, rich mouthfeel, excellent compliment. Service staff was observant and friendly.

Yelp
Pizzeria Leopold is a neighborhood pizzeria that has undergone a few changes over the years. The locally owned spot used to be called Deli Italia, focusing more on the deli side of things. The husband and wife owners ended up converting the space into a humble pizzeria with a proper dining room, beer and wine list, and Italian market items for sale. It's a home run for this side of town! They're in the same plaza as European Market which is one of the most underrated places in the entire city if you ask me. I was craving an Italian sandwich on a Friday night and ended up popping in for a quick bite. The restaurant was packed with families dining in, as well a good amount of people picking up their pizzas to go. ITALIAN HERO ($15) // Ham, salami, capicola, pepperoni, provolone, tomatoes, lettuce, oregano, pepperoncini and red wine vinaigrette. *PRO TIP* instead of the baguette it comes on, splurge on their HOUSEMADE FOCACCIA BREAD. I'm not an expert on many things in life, but an Italian sandwich is my last meal. This one is a strong contender for one of the best on this side of town. The bread alone took it to a whole new level. Would devour again and again! One thing I'd love to see is a larger selection of market items. It was pretty bare when I was in. I also think they should put labels/prices on the items! I probably would've bought a few if I had known the prices, but I wasn't gonna go up to the counter on a busy Friday night when they had a full restaurant. Known for their pizzas, but do not miss these sandwiches. Absolutely delicious. Excited to bring my family back here for more sit-down experiences!

Yelp
This place is lights out. I don't want to write a review because I don't want too many people to find out about it. Every thing is made in house and if it isn't you're going to get top tier ingredients. Service was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Dale C.

Yelp
Food was great. Prices were too high to eat very often unfortunately. Low key ambiance is relaxed. Service was good.

Yelp
I ordered a pizza to be delivered... I had the Diablo's pizza, really flavorful and spicy with heat. I was glad to not have to put a tons of crushed red peppers on this pizza because it didn't need it! Also tried the garlic nots! Definitely worth the carbs
google avatar

Yelp
I am so glad we made the trip over here to give this place a try. I had heard a lot of good things on social media, and I agree with the hype. The crust on my pizza was chewy and airy with a perfect crisp and my absolute favorite part was the sauce. My friend got a cutlet sandwich that she really liked as well. And as an extra surprise they have some lovely salads, the Greek salad was very very good, the house made focaccia croutons are amazing! And the cannoli was excellent too. Can't wait to come back someday.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch-place was packed. Now, I know why! Had the Italian Hero-added some giardiases (don't miss this) and the meatball sub. Took home some focaccia. Everything was delicious! Service was on point. We will be back for pizza- crush looks great.

Yelp
Pizza heaven! The crust is perfect in every way! It's thin under the toppings and thick around the edges. The crisp and chewy edges, the oven baked flavor, the fresh bread taste all work together to enhance the toppings of your choice! This is a wonderful pizzeria with friendly service. We usually pick up our pizza or have it delivered. A couple of times we have eaten there enjoying the sandwiches. It's casual, warm and comfortable.

Yelp
Once I got to eat the food in my car, it was delicious. But the customer service defensiveness about abysmal communications was appalling. I drove in from Erie on my friend's lunch break. It was his birthday, and that's where he wanted to go. He ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich. I ordered the 14" inch fungi bunch. His sandwich came out. The waiter then said, "your pizza is in the oven." So my friend ate his sandwich increasingly slowly, thinking my food would be out in any minute. After almost 10 minutes, I asked a woman if the pizza was coming out and she said yes, but admittedly without checking with anyone. I waited yet longer. I finally went over to the pizza oven and asked them to cancel it. I was told and could see it had just come out. I considered it a 15 minute gap they considered it a 10 minute gap. Regardless, the professional thing would have been to manage our expectations at the time of the order. Such logical options would have been: 1) "Your pizza will take much longer than the sandwich. Would you like us to bring them out at the same time or as they are ready?" (given that serving people conspicuously dining together at approximately the same time is standard, this would have seemed very obvious.) 2) "Do you have at least 45 minutes since we pride ourselves in making our pizzas to order, and it will take about 30 minutes?" 3) When my friend was served his sandwich saying, "Your pizza is in the oven, but it will be about another 10 minutes or so. Thanks for your patience." Instead, our waiter and a staff member double down on it being 10 minutes vs. it taking 15 minutes to cook from the time the sandwich was served, as if I was supposed to know that through some past time dining there, first-hand pizza making experience, or mind reading, none of which I have. Did they apologize or just get defensive, as if serving me unexpectedly 10 minutes later than my friend versus 15 was the issue? The latter. Did they offer to get me something else or take anything off the bill? Neither. Did they say "oh it's your friend's birthday, please come back another time, and we'll make it right?" No. So my advice would be to ask clarifying questions about being served at the time to ensure you can actually enjoy your time eating together -- and not in the car.

Yelp
You order at the front and then can sit down for dine in. Service was extremely nice and welcoming. The music a tad loud but I truly only noticed when I had to take a quick call. Pizza took about 10-12 minutes. Pizza was thin crust, very flavorful, and made with good quality ingredients. Pizza is a bit pricey for being a 10 inch pie. I left happy but similar to other reviews for $20+ and only being a personal pizza, I won't be rushing to go back many times. But if I want a pizza I know will be high quality, will this will surely be top of list to visit. I'll be back to try a sandwich for sure.

Barb P.

Yelp
Pizza took forever and when it came out, it was burned. We sent it back. The manager came over and said that's how they make their pizzas, and they had won the perfect pizza award for 2 years. He said he would make another. Their pizzas have about an inch and half crust. The place is noisy. Because of the manager's attitude I'll never return.

Joesph C.

Yelp
The food is good the service is awful. They forgot our garlic knots they didn't come tell 10 minutes after our pizza. The lemonade we ordered took 30'mins to get. Water was never refilled. It was clear that the staff hasn't been trained This the 3rd attempt eating here because we like food probably won't be back
google avatar

Emma J.

Yelp
We got take out here and ordered the chicken cutlet sub and the easy-caprese sub on focaccia. Both were really good! I would highly recommend switching the regular sub bread for the focaccia if possible because it was fire
google avatar

Zlatan-mirela V.

Yelp
I don't know what the huge fuss is about this place. Ordered pizza. 10 inch cheese. When you say over baked, this was definitely it. Hardly any cheese. Chicken cutlet sandwich was so hard that I almost cracked my tooth , at least a day old. No. Come on Denver. This can't be best pizza.
google avatar

Sydney F.

Yelp
Owned by New Yorkers. Feels homey with a great vibe. Sat at the bar and had great service. My husband is a huge fan of their sandwiches. We split a salad and pizza last time, which were both tasty! The salad was big and I'm glad we split it. They have HH, which I will definitely be checking out! The fungi bunch pizza was delicious.

Matthew L.

Yelp
Can't speak for anything but their sandwiches as I ordered to-go and didn't get pizza. The OG and roast beef one we got were off the charts good. Great ingredients (meats and cheese), toppings, and AWESOME bread. They get it. Go and you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
Love this place! Pizza was delicious and unlike a lot of the better pizza spots around there is a decent amount of seating and nice atmosphere. They do a great takeout business of course but this is somewhere I enjoy going to sit and eat while my pizza is super fresh. This is a regular in our rotation now, one of the 2 best pizza spots we've found in Denver.
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
Snarky cashier w a little sass & a great sandwich. Stopped over after visiting next door for the best sandwich in CO according to Yelp. These folks would disagree! I tried the recommended sandwich, the Godfather. There was plenty of meat to compliment the veggies. The bun is the real star - house made focaccia bread! Service was quick and friendly. Certainly up to the challenge of best sandwich in the strip - and maybe all of Colorado!
google avatar

Noah K.

Yelp
Great pizza even better Sub. Stopped in here on our way home from boarding and this cured all cravings and hunger a long day of driving and snowboarding will conjure. We went with the Godfather sandwich and the PWA pizza. The sandwich was large and generously heaping with freshly sliced meats. Delicious. The pizza was the perfect size for two. Maybe for 1 If you're hungry. Cupped pepperonis and perfectly cooked crust made for an epic 'za. Finished the meal off with a cannoli. Quality and loaded with chocolate chips and cream. Worth noting that the ordering process is kind of unique. You walk up to the counter and order but you don't close out till you leave.
google avatar

Kelly K.

Yelp
Great pizza with lots of creative toppings, but the crust was a bit weak. I ordered pickup online but when I finished my order it said the pizza would take almost two hours. This didn't seem right so I called to double check. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and immediately knew my order and said it shouldn't be more than twenty minutes. My boyfriend picked up the pizza so I can't attest to the inside of the restaurant. The pizza itself was great and the tomato sauce was delicious and tasted fresh. I only remove one star because the crust couldn't withstand the toppings without flopping. I'd def go back though and try again!
google avatar

Stan D.

Yelp
I like finding these small, family-owned restaurants with good food that the locals all know about. This is one of them. We found this place when were invited her by friends. I always like a good pizza, and this is a good pizza. It's baked in the traditional way in a pizza oven until the crust bubbles. The crust is very basic, but with perfect flavor, texture, and consistency. There is a good choice of pizzas for a variety of taste, but we went with the "Create Your Own," choosing mushrooms and Kalamata olives. It was a good choice. The restaurant tries to source as many of its ingredients as it can locally, (even the red pepper flakes on the table are from a local source!), and they use as many organic ingredients as they can, too. It all ends up in a very good, very tasty product. There are a lot of pizzas out there, and a lot of variety, but I feel anyone who likes pizza will like this one. We also had a Greek Salad. It was good, but I feel like the dressing they used was Italian. We shared the "small" salad, and it was plenty for one person, or two people who aren't that hungry. The one thing I didn't like about this place was having to go to the counter to place my order, and then having to go find a seat. The place can get very busy especially at Happy Hour, (Happy Hour is ALL DAY on Sunday). I would also mention that if you come in a group, and you sit at the higher, narrower tables, it can be difficult to eat if you order more than one pizza. The tables are too narrow - not enough room. Other than that, the service was good, the pizzas came out in a timely manner, and everything we ate was very tasty for a fair price. I would definitely come back here. They have good options for vegetarians, but it's kind of slim for vegans. They have a full bar, they have TV's, and they have a thriving take-out business.
google avatar

Adrienne E.

Yelp
I've tried the pesto olive pizza and a cannoli. Cannoli was good, but not the best I've had. The pesto on the pizza was very good, and I liked the addition of pine nuts and olives as toppings. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the crust. The pizzas are also a bit pricey for pretty small portions, my 10 inch pizza was close to $20. For both of those reasons, I probably won't be rushing back for another pizza when there are other spots in Denver with better crust and that are more filling for a similar price. That said, the focaccia here looks incredible. I think I might have to return to try a sandwich on it. Customer service was also great.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
This place is off the beaten path but so neighborhood family inside. The meatballs were fabulous and the pizza was good. It was very busy and so that may have been why it took awhile but also know they had issues with the oven so that probably added to delays as well. Definitely will go back and highly recommend if you love fun unique crispy crust, chewy edges pizza!
google avatar

Leslie R.

Yelp
Definitely hit or miss. Service for dining in can be really really slow. Pizzas can come out super burned sometimes. Like rock hard and black. Server was explaining to complaining diners and they weren't buying it. Probably won't be back due to inconsistency. Dined in on 6/26/25.
google avatar

Annie M.

Yelp
This is the za that fuels my dreams... and gets me out of the house. My husband and I meet here for lunch about once a month and we cannot get enough of their pizza. My favorite has dollops of ricotta... perfect for dipping crust in. Crispy, crispy, perfect crust. The salads are notable, a great bar list, and the staff is fun and playful. Their food is truly killer and worth a trip.
google avatar

Gabby L.

Yelp
Drove my friends here after some disc golf to get some pizza! I dropped them off and went to another spot (one of my favorites) and they wouldn't add peppers to one of my orders. I drove back here sat at my friends table and ordered a meatball hoagie and asked to add peppers to the order and they let me. The waitress we had was very polite and quick. Everybody working here was in a good mood. The vibes in here are immaculate and we will be back soon! Thank you for having amazing food and staff.

Zach K.

Yelp
You fell off hard. Why would you ever serve someone old bread and chicken like this? You don't want return business? I've been coming here for a few years and your service has fallen off immensely over the last 4 months. I'm done.
google avatar

Samuel S.

Yelp
Didn't happen to take a pic of our pizza Have eaten here a handful of times and have been satisfied with our food. This most recent experience was sub par Called in our order and was given a 45-minute window before it would be ready. Arrived at the restaurant at the designated time and had to wait about another 10-minutes. Wasn't a big deal because I figured the wait would be worth it. While I waited, I could see the kitchen staff and they seemed to be struggling to figure out orders and keep up with the pace they were coming in at. The place was busy - which good for them - but the restaurant didn't seem staffed appropriately for To Go orders. Unfortunately, the wait wasn't worth our $30+, 14" pizza with four toppings and extra sauce. The pizza was overcooked, and burned in some parts, which was a bummer. Because of the wait, I didn't bother contacting the restaurant. We will think twice about ordering from Pizzeria Leopold. The word is out about their pizza but they need to staff up to maintain their prices and reputation.
google avatar

Kelly K.

Yelp
I kept seeing ads for this stating it was the best pizza, so I was excited to try it out. Got two pizzas to go, and both were super dry and over cooked. Maybe it doesn't travel well or maybe it was a bad day, but definitely not the best pizza I've had in Denver. Also possible their quality has gone down since they've gained traction. Fairly disappointing after all the hype.

Lindsay G.

Yelp
The absolute best pizza. Always very busy and can be very tough to order, but it is always worth it! Cute restaurant and everything is delicious
google avatar

Will S.

Yelp
I stop by probably twice a month to buy dough and cheese from them! We make our own pizzas pretty frequently and we have found this place to have the BEST pizza dough. It's soooo worth it. They open up early on Sundays so it works out pretty well for making pizzas on football Sunday
google avatar

Daniel E.

Yelp
Subsequent visit with a couple of friends resulted in an even better experience, as the Pizzeria Leopold customer service continued to be excellent and exploring more food options added further. We arrived early, so we ordered their Burrata di Bufala because it looked so good as the cook was preparing it near the entrance. It was sensational, a seasonal burrata with tasty mozzarella and perfectly cooked bread. I could have eaten that dinner and been ecstatic! I added a house salad (which was terrific), and then strategically ordered a 14" pizza for myself that would allow me to have their pizza the next day as a treat! Combined their Marky-Marg with Sausage Ricky, and it was awesome. The key to this place is their overall customer service and kindness. It is a priority, and they rock it. Every staffer seems to be kind, warm, and that vibe makes the whole visit even better.

Jesse O.

Yelp
Food was great! Will definitely be back. But, the service was very slow and disorganized for a fairly empty restaurant. All employees were friendly and nice, just could have a little more urgency.
google avatar

Frann B.

Yelp
Was in the area craving a sandwich, stopped here and had my tastebuds satisfied! Very welcoming Italian eatery. Walk in and saw the deli counter, open kitchen, and bar. The smell of fresh foccicia bread coming out of the oven. Seeing all the fresh ingredients. Everyone welcomed me in and recommend a few items including adding Dragon Giarginera and a even spicier sauce with my Italian sub. I've been in Colorado for 25 years and I couldn't find a delicious traditional Italian submarine! I just found my place! It was perfectly made, the high quality of meats and ingredients added to my tastebuds desiring more! He said I should try the Pizza, so I ordered one to go! This place offers a full bar, family seating, and lots of choices on their menu. They make their breads and sauces in house. Top notch food and service! I would highly recommend this place to anyone including families. It's a warm and cozy place to hang out with everyone. Definitely great place for lunch or meeting someone there. Looking forward to coming back again...

Natalie O.

Yelp
I hate to share how fabulous ! for fear it will get too busy! The staff is wonderful, management so courteous, and the food delicious!

Yelp
We've had Pizzeria Leopold/Deli Italia bookmarked forever and finally made it in for roasted eggplant and diavola pizzas for takeout. Both pizzas really were great -- everything tasted fresh, lots of flavor, and the crust held up well. Easily some of the best 'za we have had in Denver. That being said, the prices here are pretty high and that'd be the main thing stopping us from coming back. The 14" pies definitely felt a bit smaller than 14" pies we have gotten elsewhere and $60+ for two small take out pizzas is a bit out of our price range for a typical pizza night. We added a cannoli (half chocolate chip, half pistachio) on the way out, and it was tasty, although a different consistency than I am used to in cannolis, with this being more like a vanilla pastry cream than your typical thicker ricotta filling. Vibes inside were good with a few TVs, a bar, and some Italian dry goods for purchase. Also great there is a parking lot right out front!

Yelp
This is my 2nd time shooting here and even though it was a couple of years ago, the owner and staff are as awesome as ever! Very kind and helpful and enthusiastic! Even greet you when you come inside. It's a great Italian deli with fresh offerings and tasty dishes and treats!

Yelp
Food was good. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, garden salad, & cheesy bread. However, the service from our waiter was not such a great experience. We needed to ask the front staff if we can order our food after waiting 20 minutes (also waited 30 min to be seated because it was packed). He didn't come and check in on us, didn't serve plates for our food, & was not the friendliest.

Yelp
Got some food to go here when we were visiting the area. The cold sandwiches were meh but the bread/pizza dishes were excellent.

Yelp
I am here for a couple pies probably twice a month and a couple of pints are sure to follow! I have met so many incredible people! The atmosphere is amazing, the staff lights out and the ownership go out of their way to create a genuine neighborhood gem! There are those that try and there are those that execute. PL DELIVERS ON ALL FRONTS!!!

Yelp
The pizza.....blah!!!! I grew up in NJ and lived in NYC. Your lucky to find bad pizza there. For those who rate this pizza good, then you have no idea. Lacked taste, crust was crunchy.....What? sauce was bland and cheese was not stringy/melty! and it costed $18. The salad which was a beet salad and a small portion, was priced at $16....No way and never again. I can find better pizza at the grocery store or hell go to Whole Foods.....That is much better and a lot cheaper. :( Oh I wish they had Grimaldi's!!!!!

Yelp
Visited the restaurant today. Waited over 45 minutes for our pizza. People came in and ordered over 20 minutes after us but got their pizza before us. They stated the kitchen was backed-up but multiple tabled got served before us. Rather than tell us the truth, they misplaced our order (even the manager) continued to "lie" and tell us the kitchen was backed up. Will never be back after being "lied" to.

Yelp
It's been awhile since we've been to Pizza Leopoldo, but it is still the best pizza in town...even when you take it to go! Great service and a wonderful family-owned establishment.

Yelp
A bit disappointing to be honest, based on all the great reviews. Our pick up order wasn't ready when we arrived because they were very busy, but the staff was very polite and kind about it. We just explored the market a few doors down while we waited and came back 25 min later. Unfortunately the 3 pizzas we got were very tough and burnt. The pizzas are quite expensive for the size so we were expecting better. Maybe just bad luck to get overcooked ones, so we will probably try them again another time. The place was packed so there must be a reason!
