This was amazing. Pretty authentic if you like real Italian cuisine and who doesn’t. The crust was thin but not a cracker, still tender. All the ingredients were top shelf. From the salad to dessert it was a treat.

This is the second time that my boyfriend and I have visited this restaurant, and it never disappoints! We happened to stumble across it last summer during a day trip to Colorado Springs. Today, we decided to drive 40 minutes to Colorado Springs just to eat here! The service is amazing and our waitress, Lauren, was very kind and attentive. The food is spectacular and tastes authentic. We highly recommend the burrata as an appetizer. The Rustica pizza is our favorite, and has to be paired with their truffle oil! The pizza is so flavorful and has that wood fire pizza taste. For dessert, the cannolis were delicious. Highly recommend checking out this awesome place!

Excellent food and authentic atmosphere! The food came pretty quickly and was definitely worth it. It’s a good idea to make a reservation in advance to avoid a wait, especially during busy times.

My family and I stopped by this cozy restaurant one evening after a day of shopping. Six of us shared three pizza’s and 2 appetizers. The crust was perfect, the flavors perfectly balanced, and the staff was inviting. For simplicity, we parked niña. Public lot across short walk away that was only a couple of bucks. We would visit this establishment again.

I was visiting Colorado Springs and read the reviews for this restaurant so I had to give it a try and I was not disappointed. This place has the best pizzas in town and the service is great. Next time I’m in town I’m definitely eating here again!

Google
This restaurant was amazing. As soon as you walk in, it has an old-school Italian feel to it, which is pretty cool. It's the perfect spot for a date night. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. The outdoor seating was fantastic and had a lovely backyard vibe to it. The service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and helped us understand the menu better since we were a bit confused. Our food arrived pretty quickly, and she didn't hesitate to check up on us. We ended up ordering a whole pepperoni pizza with blue cheese on half of it, and it was delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we wish we had ordered another one! We also ordered the cookie and gelato for dessert, and it was the highlight of our meal. Overall, this was an incredible experience, and we highly recommend this place!

Google
Warm, welcoming, intimate environment. Our server was Ashley, she was friendly and professional. Mr. Wonderful ordered their *special, which had a delicious white sauce, cheese, peaches (yes, peaches) and a balsamic drizzle. I enjoyed their Margherita pizza with Burrata.

Had a great time. Amazing foods. Try the appetizers!

Yelp
Went to Pizzeria Rustica. We had the meatballs as an appetizer. Hot with great flavor. House marinara was well balanced with a little sweetness. We should have added the suggested flatbread but didn't. We ordered two salads, the cesare (Caesar) and the cuneo (a wedge). Both salads were fresh. I personally didn't love the eggless Caesar dressing, as I'm a bit more of a traditionalist, but the crispy salami bits were a nice touch. We had a plain pepperoni and a pontecorvo salsiccia. The crust was great. Sauce and cheese were also great. We split a reasonably priced Montepulciano. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. We sat outside on a tent covered patio with string lights off the main drag. The weather was great which added to a great experience. We will go back to Pizzeria Rustica.

Yelp
Food, wine and service are excellent! Really love the pizzas and atmosphere. A must if in OCC.

Yelp
Very nice place. Great service. Patio was nice vibe. We got the salumi pizza, and margherita with pepperoni, flat bread, and anti pasta meatballs. It was all great! They make a great sauce. I recommend the salumi great flavor:

Yelp
This was a first-time go at this pizza spot in Old Colorado Springs and can say me and my friends were very pleased. They serve Neapolitan wood fire pizzas so you already know this place is legit. We ordered the "Rustica" and customized a pesto pizza and both were a 10/10. It tasted very authentic and the pizza came out smoking hot. I also loved and appreciated the outside seating and made it feel homey. I'll definitely be back to try another banging pizza and maybe switch it up with a pasta.

Yelp
This restaurant is a GEM. The ambience is absolutely adorable with amazing vintage touches. It was a lovely day so we sat outside. Service was friendly and quick! The pizza looked average but ended up being SO YUM! We were so pleased! Also, the cookie in a skillet was without a doubt one of the best I've ever had. It's WAY better than it looks. We could have eaten 6 of them - LOL! This was a great place to stop by for lunch and we hope to swing by again soon someday.

Thomas V.

Yelp
I throughly enjoyed this place even though the pizza was not my favorite style. The service and cocktails were great would love to eat some more items off their menu in the future.

Lauren W.

Yelp
Went here for the first time on a whim for my birthday and it was the BEST decision! Service? 11/10. Atmosphere? 10/10. Food?! 100/10!!! My partner said it was the best pizza he's ever had. Absolutely amazing overall and we will definitely be back!

Bertrand L.

Yelp
Nice little place serving high quality 'za in Old Colorado City. Had the margarita and meatball appetizer and both did not disappoint with regard to subtle as well as bolder tastes. Service was quite good even with a new server. When we arrived in the early evening only a couple of tables were occupied but by the time we left the place was filled.

Keith R.

Yelp
WOW FACTOR? Yes, the Pagliasotti was impressive with lots of good, delicious and excellent items. Nice presentation. HAVE AGAIN: Formaggi E Pollo was good. Nice with pistachios. NOT HAVE AGAIN: The Rustica pizza was ok but just didn't make me want to have one again.

Laura G.

Yelp
The pizza was really good, the outdoor seating was really nice, the fountain in the middle was really cute. At the begging we almost left because the hostess had a pretty bad attitude but once the server came in she was really nice so we ended up staying, besides that everything was fine.

Klyn S.

Yelp
Amazing food! Very close to authentic Italian. Definitely go here! Great outdoor seating. Wonderful service, friendly and helpful.

Deb G.

Yelp
Don't know what has changed, but picked up our fav Margherita pizza last night and it was awful. Essentially, we got pizza dough with very little sauce, no basil and no mozarella. The sauce was bitter and the dough charred in too many places to be palatable. And, to make matters worse, we live ONE MILE from PR and the pizza and its box were COLD when we arrived home. I feel we got someone's leftover order that wasn't made properly in the first place. WOW......... we have always depended upon PR for the best pizza in our neighborhood, but have we now lost that option as well? You don't move to the Springs for the food, but there are the few restaurants that stand out and make an effort to provide high quality and consistent standards of delicious food - PR was one of them.

Frederick G.

Yelp
Wonderful food, service was excellent, and the ambiance was relaxing and refined. I absolutely recommend this restaurant for exceptional Italian food.

Steve V.

Yelp
Fantastic Pie!! Best in Colorado. I highly recommend Pizzeria Rustica when you're in Colorado Springs.

Kara H.

Yelp
I really wanted to love Pizzeria Rustica but unfortunately, there was no chemistry. As a lover of Neapolitan style pizza, I am always excited to order from a place that sells this type. However, I was not overly impressed when I bit into one of these slices. What I did like? The flavor of the dough was good and the sauce was not too sweet or too salty. While I understand Neapolitan pizza typically has a thin crust, this crust was almost non-existent. Additionally, I could barely detect any cheese on the pizzas ordered besides the ricotta on the Rustica pizza. Lastly, the price I paid for the pizzas I ate just didn't seem to add up in my head. Perhaps, I need to give Pizzeria Rustica another chance? Or maybe I just need to move on to other prospects in town?

Dan V.

Yelp
Great service, tasty food, and quaint, Italian ambiance. Our server was great but the host seemed less than excited when he greeted us when we entered. Pizza comes in one size, personal. Us hungry folk had no issue downing the entire thing. Delicious crust really made the pizza stand out. It was thin, slight crunch, and the outer crust substantial. Be sure to try the spicy olive oil set out for dipping! Good stuff!

Kristin P.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. The pizza took me home too when I lived in Italy, I had the super margarita and it was impeccable, the mozzarella di buffala was amazing, the sauce had to be made by a nonna. The crust was perfect. This pizza place is an incredibly close representation to the pizza in Napoli. Our waitress was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. They had indoor and outdoor seating and allow dogs in the outdoor portion. 10/10 would come back again.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Our pizza was perfect. Thank you for a beautiful lunch.

Sandra M.

Yelp
Hubby and son love this place. We do hit it up every year. Dog friendly (ie- patio) Friendly staff.

Steve A.

Yelp
Friendly service and a nice patio dining area are the highlights of this place in the midst of the Colorado Springs tourist area. The food was just okay, with a very pedestrian Antipasto Misto and somewhat odd Caesar Salad that involved diced meat and toasted bits of flatbread. The namesake Pizza Rustica was also just okay. The thin, authentic crust was good, but the ricotta was only in one small section, and the pizza overall had very little flavor. We overhead a nearby table chatting with the owner, and they gave exactly the same assessment. Wine prices are reasonable.

Yelp
Treated our son and daughter in law to a great anniversary dinner. One of their favorite spots in Colorado Springs

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
Pizza Rustica has a romantic ambiance in the heart of the adorable Old Colorado City making it a perfect place for a date night. My bf and I celebrated our anniversary here and our server, Justine made it especially special! Justine was so nice and attentive. I originally ordered the Marinara and honestly, it wasn't my favorite. The pizza crust here is extremely thin and the rest of the Marinara pizza was a TON of JUST marinara. Literally nothing else and it was soupy! I didn't want to cause any problems so I didn't say anything, but she could tell something was off and offered to get me a new pizza. I got the Quattro verdure instead and it arrived SO fast! This pizza was much better: thin layer of marinara, light cheese and veggies. It paired well with my cab sav (these a great selection of wine) and dinner was very enjoyable. Thin crust is traditional for Neapolitan pizza and although I'm more of a Sicilian person (LOVE thicccc crust), I can appreciate a good thin crust. To top off the evening, we got a free desert to celebrate the occasion! We choose the cookie and gelato and it was just amazing. I didn't know desert could taste so good. This is a great place for a romantic evening!!!

LeAnne S.

Yelp
The food is absolutely real, fantastic Italian. The service exceptional, and the ambiance is as they say: casual, romantic and classy. We sat outside and it was very relaxed and inviting. This is the place for delicious, authentic Italian and time to unwind with a glass of wine or delicious cocktail.

Yelp
Well time for a short review of pizzeria rustica. This remains my daughter's favorite pizza place in town. Honestly we like it a lot too. It is worth a visit! My disappointment is a new (for me) policy. If you charge your meal, which I do 100% of the time, a 2% credit card fee is added. I have to believe that the majority of customers pay by credit card... so if it is needed, increase the prices. For me the line item "add-ons" irritates me to no end! But again, for my family it's our favorite pizza place (and we live very NE Colorado Springs and felt the drive was worth it).

Loren B.

Yelp
I'm not normally a big fan of Napolese pizza, finding it too dry around the edges and having the ingredients not spread far enough across the pie. But, Pizzeria Rustica won me over with their titular Rustica pizza. I added sausage and we split it, finding it ample to satisfy us. We also enjoyed the Fonduta, a gooey, flavorful cheese fondue served with soft triangles of pizza dough. She also tried the Italian Soda cocktail which had a wonderful, sweet/savory complexity. Service was excellent, with a large staff serving a relatively small number of tables. We enjoyed the hole-in-the-wall Italian café vibe, faux paint on the walls, busy table cloths, artwork, and a historic feeling to the building. Bathrooms were located upstairs. We had a great time and would look forward to repeating on future visits to Old Colorado City.

Marion M.

Yelp
I returned to the Pizzeria Rustica after a long absence. I had forgotten how nice the service is and how good the pizza is! I ordered the pizza special of the day and a glass of lovely Italian wine. I enjoyed both. It's a bit expensive, but you do get a wonderful meal. During the week it was not crowded. I shall return. I also like their sister restaurant, Tapateria.

Val C.

Yelp
Chk hrs! All I can say. So disappointed they were not open after the drive!!! All I got folks!!!!!! Ate at slice 403 down the block. Which was fab with a mission. That's it. Sorry we missed out- maybe update Yelp?

Jon D.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner tonight. Service was excellent. Pizza was flavorful. Very cute restaurant.

Yelp
Such a bomb pizza spot! The pizza, service, and location are all amazing. The restaurant has a homey and welcoming feel. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Situated in Old Colorado City, present-day Colorado Springs, this is a must for brick oven pizza lovers, but note on the pricer side. Metered parking along Colorado Ave. The restaurant sticks to its namesake with rustic decor inside; as you enter the front door, it's a step back in time as you're greeted by the old Midland Terminal Railway sign. Limited seats insides, sometimes felt a little tight, but additional seating outside (dog friendly). Service was exceptional, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The Salumi was great, can't go wrong with some sort of meat on a pizza. Would have preferred more basil on the Margherita pizza, but it was still delicious. Would recommend.

Krystal S.

Yelp
The service was spot on! Very attentive. We got to sit on the patio, started with the cheese dip. Pizzas were delicious. Very cute ambiance with real Italian feel.

Janssen A.

Yelp
I was in Colorado and New Mexico for over a week and this was the only bad food I had the entire time. I think we had the Rustica pizza and it was pretty underwhelming. Not much to it really for almost 20 bucks and on the smaller side. Hopefully they're entrees are better than their pizza. I remember the crust being pretty good which is a big plus because that's mostly what it was.

Hailey H.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised!! Driving back from Manitou Springs we passed through Old Colorado City which was the cutest town full of shops. Rustica was on a list of best pizza in the area so we decided to stop in. I definitely recommend eating outside as there is such a cute ambiance with the lights, fountain, and scenery. Inside is not as cute or alluring, kind of tacky decor, so outside is the place to dine. Outside is even a little romantic. The pizza is "medium" sized and is a one size order only. The pizza can serve 1-2 people depending on how hungry you are. My group of three ordered 2 pizzas and we ate it all. If you order a margarita pizza, I suggest going for the supreme because it is just a little more elevated. It is a thin slice and the crust is nice and crunchy. For the salads, we ordered the Special served that day and it was AMAZING. The Cesar salad was a little disappointing as it was not what you think of as a classic salad with romaine and a creamy dressing. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, just not what I was expecting. There is street parking or a public parking lot just a block away. The bathrooms are upstairs inside the restaurant. You have to walk upstairs, walk down a long hallway to one bathroom that was poorly stocked. We did not make a reservation but you can if you call I believe. This place has great outdoor evening vibes which we highly enjoyed. The food was delicious. The service was a little slower than I would've liked. The time between ordering and receiving the food was too long. The servers were friendly and did the best they could. Overall I do recommend this spot for a leisurely dinner for some yummy pizza!

P. J.

Yelp
Best pizza place in the springs. Be prepared to wait during the evenings or call ahead, but it's worth it.

Tom C.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant with phenomenal food, great service, and a lovely patio. My wife and I frequent Rustica several times a month.

Ann Marie F.

Yelp
Authentic Italian vibe; food was fresh and delicious and service was super friendly. The meatballs are better than Grandmas. Wines from Italy. Don't underestimate this spot.

K B.

Yelp
I visited Pizza Rustica during a road trip though Colorado, and it did not dissapoint. The pizzas were very good based on a house made crust that is durable, moist, fluffy, and appropriately slightly charred in some places. The toppings were good quality, flavorful, and applied in the right amounts compared to the crust. Overall the pizzas here were delicious. The service was good. We had a friendly server and the food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time. I was disappointed there was not a better offering of local draft beer. We sat outside on the patio during the evening which was pleasant but there is occasional noise from the street, and at least one mentally questionable person stumbled by and leaned up against the fence, shouting to a person who wasn't there. I would easily go back here but I would sit inside next time.

Megann H.

Yelp
Walking in we were excited to try. This was by far some of the best service we have ever had. Very attentive and she answered the 100 question we had. To start on the food. We got the fonduta. The bread it came with was soooo flavorful but not overpowering. The cheese was HOT and was a beautiful flavor. We got the white pizza and margarita. Both were FANTASTIC. The white was garlicky. The margarita was so flavorful! The crust was thin like a tortilla but soft like a flat bread and chewy. They hit the nail on the head with their time and patients with basic ingredients and whole food. They also have a house-made oil and sweet chili sauce. This was by far the best sauces I've ever tasted! I would 100% recommend this place if you are riding through. It will not disappoint. I enjoyed the outside seating a lot. The weather is nice this time of year (June) I will say if we sat inside it prob would have been to hot.

Ally L.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Pizzeria Rustica for awhile now! Finally decided to make it happen and came here for a lunch date. Our waitress was extremely attentive and always made sure we were okay which I really appreciated!! I'm not sure if my boyfriend set the bar extremely high because he loves the pizzas here, but it didn't blow my mind. I wanted to try other menu items besides pizza so we opted for Polpette al forno (meatballs) and fonduta (mozzarella flatbread dip). Both dishes tasted good but not great. The mozzarella cheese on the fonduta became cold and hard so fast, I felt like it was a race to eat it. I couldn't fully enjoy it because it turned into a big cold glob of cheese instead of being able to dip the delicious crunchy garlic flatbread with it. I would most likely not order them again. I would say though, the pizzas are delicious. Loved the fomaggi e pollo. Overall, pizzas were delicious and appetizers were a bit disappointing.

Caroline K.

Yelp
Great pizza and great service! Thank you Bridgid for taking such good care of us! We had a caprese salad, cheese pizza for my son and a salumi pizza, everything was delicious!

Claudia C.

Yelp
So sad - the pizza here used to be so so delicious. I went with two of my sons, we each ordered a pizza and asked for them to be well done and crispy. I got a raw, limp pizza, which when picked up by the crust literally flopped over and hung down like a limp rag. Not exaggerating. The toppings were thrown on there - splotches of burrata and weird strips of prosciutto haphazardly placed. I ate one piece and literally couldn't stomach another piece. My sons had the same experience but they are young men and ate all theirs anyway. We couldn't wait to get out of there and our bill was over $70 with tip, and we got charged a fee for using a credit card. My family has been going there for years and we will never ever ever go back. Beyond disappointing!!!

Rachel Z.

Yelp
Amazing pizza, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere! My sister and I found this place on Google and didn't regret our choice. The pizza had so much flavor but also felt "light" as it didn't contain tons of grease or oil. I recommend coming here!

Veronica W.

Yelp
I've dined at Rustica a few times before and this time they really missed the mark on a few things-- especially the pizza. I've had super thin crust before but this thin crust was beyond soggy and just down right inedible. I got my pizza home and had to reheat it in the toaster oven because when I opened up the box and tried to pick up a slice all the toppings with the cheese went sliding everywhere. This is truly the soggiest pizza I have ever had and it's just not acceptable. I have no idea what's going on but this is not enjoyable and it seems like something is way off on the preparation of the pizza/dough. I'm also not a fan of getting charged many tiny fees for random things like-- to go order which was a pick up .75 cents. Then another .50 cents for marinara sauce which they did not put on the inside like I asked. It looked like they slapped on extra sauce on the pizza which is not what I wanted. Anywho, this pizza with all its surcharges came to $23+ and it's barely enough for 2 people. In all honesty I actually don't mind paying that much for a small sized pizza but it didn't even taste good-- it's ridiculous. After this experience I really don't see myself coming back. There needs to be some serious improvements on many things, starting with the pizza. Sadly Rustica gets 2 thumbs way down for now.

Sabu Y.

Yelp
The flavor was great, the service was amazing, there were just a few small issues that kept that 5th star out of reach. We had three appetizers that were absolutely fantastic. No complaints with the pagliasotti, polpette al forno, and the crimini al forno. The first complaint we had was with the Caesar salad. Unfortunately, the egg-free Caesar dressing left something to be desired. Personally, I feel like the egg balances out the anchovies, so the dressing was a bit thin and fishy. And with the anchovies in the dressing, it is already not veg friendly. I didn't really understand why the eggs were omitted. We got the rustica and quattro stagioni pizzas. The stagioni was fantastic. The rustica was fantastic once we found the ricotta pocket. I would have enjoyed it more if the ricotta was more evenly spread out throughout the pie, as we did not find the pocket until we were on the last two pieces. The complete ensemble was to die for!

Patricia K.

Yelp
So good! Best pizza and salad. Service was great. Sat outside and enjoyed the shade, breeze and waterfall. The butterscotch dessert was amazing!

Alpen P.

Yelp
Great pizzas, especially the special of the day, with peaches. We tried several other pizzas, all great. The two sauces they offered were really good too. Only wish they had fountain soda, vs just giving cans.

Cathy T.

Yelp
Came here for lunch a friend of mine. Our waitress was nervous but friendly and attentive to help. She looks like a family member of the owner as she wasn't in an uniform nor had a name tag on her. I asked what she recommends and she said she really likes the Fomaggi e Pollo pizza so I ordered it. It was delicious! I wish I had a picture of it but I was so hungry and ate it all (facepalm with shame!) lol I'd come back again at lunch time as it's rarely crowded during the weekdays. By the way, theres a bar upstairs if you haven't been to before.
