"When you want to drink ice water out of a goblet, tear into pita while firmly planted in a high-backed velvet chair, and order a bottle of wine for the table, come to Presidio Kebab. The Mediterranean spot in Presidio Heights is the ideal laidback lunch choice for when family comes to town and needs sustenance before a stroll through the Wood Line, or a non-stuffy dinner with a vegetarian client. Google
Amazing food and service. We had chicken kebab plate, Turkish breakfast with sausage, lentil soup, chicken wrap, a special appetizer with three different hors d’oeuvres. We also had regular coffee and Turkish coffee which came with a Turkish delight. It also came with freshly baked pita bread and a hot sauce, best pita bread ever. The owner and staff are super friendly, warm and welcoming. The seats and tables are very comfortable It has say quiet atmosphere with really beautiful decoration, the restroom is extremely clean too. We have been there many times and is our favorite Turkish/Middle Eastern restaurant!

Excellent food and very friendly service. Big portions, reasonable pricing. Nice atmosphere, background music, low noise if at all. Dinner with family. We'll be back. Highly recommended!

Google
A charming spot with coastal-inspired decor, delicious Mediterranean food, and incredibly friendly service. We went with the Baba Ghanoush and the Yaprak Doner Kebab - both beautifully plated and packed with stunning flavors. The lamb in the kebab in particular had a rich taste that really stood out. Wish we had room to try more dishes - definitely a gem worth returning to!

The food was so delicious and the staff were really friendly. I made a reservation, but they even gave me a separate welcome drink to keep me waiting a bit. I will definitely go again. I like service❤️❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful restaurant with exquisite food and service. The steak and chicken kebabs were very flavorful and tender. The hummus and Turkish tea is a must. Save room for their incredible baklava!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was absolutely incredible ; every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the ingredients and the preparation. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the service. Murat and Batuhan went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were friendly, attentive, and brought such positive energy to the table. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made our visit really special. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and genuinely wonderful service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
My partner had Salmon with mixed vegetables. I had lamb kebab skewers. We also had the most delicious hummus. Everything was top notch and the servers were very courteous and efficient. We polished it off with some baklava and rice pudding..... Two thumbs up!

Yelp
We came here on Thanksgiving day. Very warm quaint place with great service, fresh food and lots of windows. Ordered the grilled salmon, the hummus and the falafel bread. Good selection of wine. Would recommend highly.

Yelp
Service is friendly, prices are reasonable considering portion size and presentation and ambiance is upscale classical. If you're looking for a go to Turkish spot in a nice part of sf, this is your spot. I like the beyti, Adana, and shank. Be sure to ask for their hot sauce, it isn't some bottled chilli but rather a home made one that's spicy, creamy and has the right amount of zest in it. Their main dishes are really solid and you really can't go wrong with any of them. Their desserts are ok, probably the weakest part of their menu. Out of those the bahlava is the most decent which is average at best, but that's ok- don't skimp out on the mains and apps and you will be just fine. They also offer a weekend brunch which presents a nice spread.

Yelp
Very nice dining experience. The food is excellent at very reasonable prices, especially in the middle of posh Pac Heights. :) The restaurant is clean, roomy with comfortable seating. And above all - the excellent, attentive and friendly service. Yay... I'm a fan of Presidio Kebab! Thumbs up! We walked in on a Friday afternoon, earlier dinner at 5:30 without reservation and were greeted by the friendly waiter/ host right away. We then got seated immediately as there was an open table for 2pp. Between the 2 of us, we ordered the Combo Platter and the Lamb+Beef Kebab rice plate and shared everything. There was plenty of food and prices are very reasonable. Throughout our dinner, the waiter and assistant checked on us frequently (without being over bearing) and filled our water glasses promptly. They happily helped us took pictures and the food was excellent. We finished our dinner with a Baklava + Cappuccino and oh!! the Baklava was so good. A must order item. Everything was excellent through and through. Excellent food - coupled with attentive, professional and friendly service. Very very happy dining here. Highly recommended. :)

Yelp
Nice ambiance with good waitstaff. We had the falafel appetizer which was tasty. For our main courses, we had the beef shish kebab, chicken tabuk shish kebab plate, and iskender kebab plate. Everyone enjoyed their choices and since it's in the neighborhood we will be back for more.

Yelp
Decided to stop by for (a very late) breakfast (like 1pm...) and we were HUNGRY. So we went with the Sultan's Breakfast for 2! It came with a side "salad" of chopped tomatoes and cucumber (no dressing), which was surprisingly refreshing, lots of hot fresh pita, some scrambled eggs with slices of Turkish sausages, and some sweet breakfast-y cold mezzes. My only wish was that they subbed out the olives for something else (I'm really not an olives girl), and maybe I'll ask for that substitution next time. The greek yogurt with a generous amount of honey was my favorite of these. If you haven't tried Turkish coffee before, I think it's hit or miss. I've tried it a couple times now and keep forgetting it's not my favorite preparation of coffee. It comes in a tiny cup and half of it is pure coffee grounds, and also comes with a Turkish delight. I love how authentic this is, but just not my cup of tea, unfortunately! I've been here for dinner service as well and the waitstaff are always great--quick to refill your water or your pita basket, clean up after empty plates. Vibes are very, very romantic at night, so maybe not the best choice for catching up with "just a friend" LOL.

Yelp
I recently tried out presido kebab and it was a delightful experience! The upscale ambience added a nice touch to the meal, and the service was top-notch. The food was delicious, making it a great place to enjoy some flavorful kebabs in a cozy setting. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for some tasty eats!

Yelp
A spontaneous date night dinner at Presidio Kebab made for a new spot in our restaurant rotation! We got in a little before 8pm on a Friday and there were many available tables to choose from. The ambiance is grand yet intimate, it almost feels like you are having dinner in a rich person's dining room. We started with the combo platter that came with baba ghanoush, ezme, cacik, dolma, shakshouka, feta cigars, falafel, and warm pita. Everything that came with the platter was absolutely delicious, with my personal favorite as the shakshouka, which was different than the versions of shakshouka I had previously had. It was served cold, with bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions stewed in a flavorful tomato sauce. The cacik and baba ghanoush were my next favorites, with the cacik like a thicker, creamier version of tzatziki. I will definitely order this again the next time I'm here! Because we weren't too hungry, we ended up splitting the salmon entrée, which was actually more than enough for us. The salmon was served with veggies, hummus, and a caperberry butter sauce, which was a flavor I have never had before. The caperberries were like pickled olives, they were quite salty and sour. The salmon was overcooked to our taste, we prefer it a bit blush pink on the inside. Next time, I'd ask for a different cook on the salmon but it did have a good flavor from the grill. The veggies were all cooked well and I loved the hummus that came with the dish, super creamy and smooth. We ended the meal with baklava and an espresso. The honey syrup was so floral and seeped through the layers of crisp phyllo and walnuts, I loved the baklava. The service was attentive and the team was professional and welcoming. I'd definitely come back here again and try out more of the menu.

Yelp
Such a busy place near presidio park, we went to this place on a busy weekend. We waited for around 45 min, killed the time in some high end interior design shop, where everything was so expensive. Finally, they gave us a call for the much awaited food. The menu was a wide variety of vegetarian dishes and was an excellent place for people like me. We started with falafel and a starter platter. The platter had all the dips and everyone of them was unique and tasty. The falafel was very well cooked. The pita was just so fresh I couldn't stop eating. The chicken platters and the wraps my cousins had were tasty as well. I loved the cozy place and the entire experience including the very special (a little expensive for the quantity) baklava.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Coming to this restaurant was a breath of fresh air. Located in a nice SF neighborhood, the food, service, and vibe of this restaurant was amazing. It's been a while since I could truly give a 5/5 stars to a restaurant. My family and I ordered the combo platter appetizer, adana kebab, kuzu incik, and tavuk shish kebab. MUST TRY THE KUZU INCIK. It is to die for. The lamb is soooo tender and falls right off the bone. The sauce is flavorful and rich and mixed in with the side of rice. The adana kebab and tavuk shish kebab were both flavorful but could be a bit juicier. For dessert, we ordered the kunefe. It's a traditional Turkish dessert of a fried dough with cheese inside, in a pool of homemade honey and pistachios on top. I've never had anything like this but the flavors and textures worked so well together. The combo platter appetizer was a wonderful way to try everything especially if you're new to Turkish food. My newfound obsession is shakshuka and dolma. It comes with a side of pita bread. The service is amazing here. We were greeted very warmly and both the host and waitress were attentive. Our waitress gave us recommendations, explained what everything was, offered hot sauce to pair with our dishes, cleaned the table before dessert and came periodically to check on us. The host explained the dessert and which is more traditional. The ambiance is relaxing, with light music and a romantic vibe inside. The restaurant is on the corner so there's plenty of windows and light. The neighborhood is peaceful. Overall, a great place to eat with family or a date night. Must try the kuzu incik!

Yelp
Beautiful place, clean, friendly service, delicious food. We got the chicken shish kebab and lamb shank plate - both were outstanding. They gave us complimentary warm pita which was very nice. Only small critique is the waiting time as the restaurant was fairly empty around 2:30pm but it took a while to get our food - at least you know they cook it fresh! Will definitely be back to try other dishes!

Yelp
I loved the Turkish coffee and thought about have another one but that would have been too much caffeine. Came here after road runners on a Sunday for a late lunch. I got the chicken kebab entree and it came with rice, vegetables and yogurt which were all flavorful. The waiter also gave me their special hot sauce which wasn't that spicy but it was good on the chicken. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area and who is looking to get Turkish coffee.

Yelp
Very good Mediterranean cuisine in Presidio Heights in a convenient location. Kabobs are their specialty. We enjoyed the Iskender plate which is lamb & beef served with fries, pita and tzatziki. The babaganoush (soft roasted eggplant) served with soft pita wedges was tasty and a good sized portion. The sampler appetizers had several different items, all which were good. The sampler by itself can be a meal too. We asked for more pita which the server provided. Service was ok. One server seemed uninterested and never returned to our table after taking our order. The other servers were better and brought the items we asked the first server for that she never followed up to do. It instead talked politics with another customer and forgot about us. The food was all quite good. Just know that the Turkish coffee costs $7 and is served in a very small cup that is just a tad bigger than an espresso cup and you need to ask for cream for the coffee (I asked a couple of times for cream after our first server forgot about us). The coffee was smooth but I would not order it again for the price and size.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. The food was out of this world and the service was even better. With its elegant decor it was a pleasant surprise the food was very wallet friendly. 10/10

Yelp
Presidio Kebab is Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant. Having came back from the middle east, the flavors bought me back to Turkey and the rice bought me back to Egypt. I ordered the chicken kebab plate with a side of prawns. We also ordered the Musakka and the fish entrée. Food was fresh, large portions with great service. For dessert, the baklava hit the spot! I would not hesitate to come back!

Yelp
Really enjoyed the meal here! Two of us ordered 1 entre & appetizer to share and felt like that was just the right portion size. Spanakopita was beautifully presented, and the breading were flaky in the best way possible. The way Beyti was put together impressed me since there was a pita bread at the bottom of the plate so it soaked up all the flavors from the toppings. Despite it being 6pm on a weekend, we were immediately welcomed and ushered to our seats. To add to the experience, the service was just as noteworthy. The waiter was pleasant to talk to and we were able to take our time choosing from the menu. We saw couple groups coming to pick up their order in person so I got the impression that it's a beloved neighborhood spot. It's a bit far from other neighborhood hotspots, but totally worth it if you're in the area! Excited to try other items on the menu next time.

Yelp
My husband and I were walking around looking for some lunch and decided to try this location on a weekday. We were able to be seated right away on the patio as there were only 2 other parties there. My husband ordered the lamb burger - it was moist and well seasoned, reminded us of chorizo. I ordered the kofte kebab and it was also seasoned well and the rice was a great side. The prices were $15-$25 a plate, for us that was pretty reasonable for a nicer sit down lunch.

Yelp
We were in town for our godson's July wedding at the Presidio and looking for a place to grab a bite to eat before the wedding. I read the positive reviews for this place and were so glad we decided to eat here. The ambiance felt like we'd been transported to Greece and the food was delicious. Despite it being lunch before a wedding, I decided to go with the reviews that said to get the Adana Kebab. Boy was I surprised when I received an oval platter with rice and vegetables and hummus and a huge sausage like "kebab" that extended beyond the edges of oval platter. I thought, "there's no way I should/could eat this entire kebab, maybe 1/3?" Haha. I finished the entire thing it was so amazing. Needless to say I was pretty stuffed after lunch! I was so focused on what I was eating I don't remember what my husband had, maybe a gyro? He really enjoyed his meal too but I was too busy downing my kebab platter.

Yelp
I just got back from a really nice lunch here and I love everything about this place my lunch was excellently prepared a the service was friendly. I recommend people give them a try if you want to eat lunch out in the town. I give them 5 stars

Yelp
I can't believe I forgot to post this! We had our post nuptial luncheon here after our city hall wedding! Kubi and the staff were fantastic! Not only is this place adorable, but the food was fantastic. We rented out the whole restaurant and our guests absolutely loved the food! They each had appetizers, an entree and a dessert. In addition we brought our own wedding cake and cupcakes. Guest enjoyed, tea and coffee, soft drinks and wine. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart!

Yelp
What a lovely place to dine after going to the Vogue Theater. As a matter of fact, I don't need any special reason to go to Presidion Kebab. It is just excellent. The vegetarian kebabs were wonderful. Such a generous platter served with a delicious cabbage salad, and also cucumbers in yogurt. The pita was fresh. Done to perfection. The chicken kebab plate served with rice pilaf and salad was beautiful, too. The restaurant is decorated in such good taste. There just are so many extras that come with this restaurant. The owner was so very friendly, and the entire staff was attentive. We were so impressed with the food, service, and decor. We will definitely return. By the way, we went on the weekend, so there were no parking restrictions!!!!!

Yelp
I recently ordered catering for a special celebration, and it was an absolute hit! The Mediterranean dishes were not only beautifully presented but incredibly tasty. Every guest raved about the freshness of the ingredients and the vibrant flavors in every bite. The falafel was crispy, the hummus was smooth and rich, and the kebabs were perfectly grilled. The portions were generous, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. I highly recommend for any event or occasion - they truly know how to make a celebration unforgettable with their amazing food!

Yelp
We had a family dinner here and enjoyed it . Food is fresh and tasty. Kabobs, lamb shank, fish dishes were very good. Service is friendly and accommodating. Good location in a nice neighborhood, pleasant to take a stroll on a nice warm day.

Yelp
Amazing food and huge portions!! They make their own bread in house and I was so impressed with their sauces and how tender the meat was. The servers were so helpful and answered all our questions and offered so much advice to us. The restaurant decor is a bit old fashioned, but it's a classy place to go near pac heights and would totally recommend!!
google avatar

Brittany K.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious chicken doner salad! It had super fresh romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, kalamata olives, red onion, cheese, and a generous amount of delicious chicken doner. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. They package the dressing on the side, and even include a lemon wedge. Perfection!
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
Wow absolutely phenomenal. I called weeks in advance to hold a lunch reservation for our party of 16. The person I spoke to was friendly, accommodating and warm. They offered several options (buffet style, private room or standard service). They were transparent about needing to split our party at two tables due to space and our size. I ordered the Adana Kebab and it was fantastic. The kebab was juicy and everything was filled with flavor. Our waiter and the rest of the staff were very attentive. I highly highly recommend stopping in.

Yelp
Easily one of the best restaurants in SF! Came here for my dad's birthday and we had such an amazing time. The staff is very friendly and attentive and they took great care of us from start to finish. The food is so delicious. We ordered the hummus and cacik to start and they were both very flavorful. But the star of the show was the ADANA KEBAB! This mouthwatering meal is something I'm gonna be thinking about for a long time and I can't wait to have it again soon. The kebab was very juicy and flavorful, and the plate was loaded with delicious sides. Seriously one of the best entrees I've ever had in my 10 years of living in San Francisco. Looking forward to visiting this place many more times!

Yelp
One of my Favorite restaurant in the SF Bay Area, my favorites are here Hummus (best one ever) , try Adana Kebab, Kofte Kebab, Kuzu Incik. Can not go wrong with those for sure. After the mean, make sure to have a room for Homemade Kunefe and Turkish Tea or Coffee.

Pratibha S.

Yelp
Delicious and cozy restaurant in SF, excellent ambiance and an overall wonderful meal! Came here with two other friends for a weekday dinner, was perfect for catching up/enjoying a class of wine paired with delicious food. Was on the pricey side, but good portion sizes that were not outrageous for a typical dinner in SF, and the ambiance and plating made up for it. I ordered the eggplant musakka, which was very flavorful paired with the adequate amount of cheese to not make it overbearing, and a tasty sauce to pour over. Only mild complaint was that we actually attempted to come here once before, where it ended up being reserved for a private event (but there was no indication/marking of this on their website/yelp page.) Very happy that it worked out this time though!
google avatar

Veronica L.

Yelp
The steak that is marinated for 48 hours is excellent. We also had the doner, which was delicious. The service was timely and attentive, but never intrusive.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute and cozy Mediterranean restaurant which gave a family-owned restaurant vibe. The service was great and the food was all delicious and very affordable! I particularly thought the hummus was very flavorful and the Greek salad was so fresh and light!

Yelp
This place comes highly recommended from a group of friends and has been a hit with all of the guests that we have taken here. Everybody loves the fresh and rich tasting menu! My personal favorite dish is the iskender. Incredibly unique! The service is also absolutely on point giving a fine dining experience. Can't wait to go back to try more of their menu.

Yelp
We were looking for something unique for my birthday dinner in the neighborhood, and Presidio Kebab did not disappoint! The restaurant was beautifully decorated with nice place settings and window seating, to which we gladly obliged when asked. Immediately, our waiter brought water without us asking and was very attentive to our table, and even brought us a large bottle of water when he saw we were clearing our drinks fast. Everyone got something different, and after sharing every dish at the table, I can confidently say that you can't go wrong with anything here. After stepping away from the table, I was treated with a surprise baklava for my birthday. My family and I felt so loved here! If you're looking for something culturally authentic and with amazing hospitality, this is your spot.

Yelp
At first we were going to go to Girabaldi's but came here instead. I'm soo glad I did. The food is traditional middle eastern mezes, kabobs and entrees. The food was exceptional. The freshness, perfect seasoning, the nicest staff. Perhaps the best baba ghanoush I've ever had. Truly exceptional in every way. What middle eastern food should taste like. Thank you!!!! MH

Yelp
Amazing ambiance and service here. The waiters were very attentive and came by often to check in on us. The food was good, the portions are huge. Falafel was one of the best I've had and the lamb skewer was very nicely flavored. The sliced lamb and beef also received raving reviews. They ran out of rice unfortunately, and replaced it with French fries. Our waiter was very apologetic and gave us lavash bread on da house . They've only been open for 3 years, and business is clearly booming for good reason. Well done well done! Would definitely come back again, though it is a slightly nicer (aka more expensive) place to dine at. Delicious! Will be enjoying my left overs at home.

Yelp
Came here because my mom was having knee surgery at UCSF. The waiter recommended the Adana kabab. It was outstanding. Juicy, flavorful and with perfect side dishes. Proportion was just right to get you full but not take home, 1 skewer of ground beef/ lamb kabab, some salad, tomato, pickled veggies, bread and perfectly small amount of rice (not a huge portion of rice like Persian restaurants) Presentation was nice. My husband finished everything but I had rice left. Portion may be a bit small for those with big appetites. In that case, I'd recommend getting an appetizer which we didn't need. Will go back if I'm in the area again.

Yelp
Incredible food. The babaganoush (do?) was some of the best. The staff was fun and the ambiance a mix of The Haight and San Francisco in general.

Yelp
Food is great Halen tried to make everything perfect. I have asked for some something different that was in the menu. Burak made everything wonderful I definitely recommend to come over for family and friends to enjoy great food. Street meter parking We liked it

Yelp
We love this place! Fresh in house made food. And healthy too. Ted, one of the owners is amazing. I highly recommend the spot, you can easily find parking within a block or two away. Great neighborhood inLaurel Village.

Yelp
Ordered the hummus, babaganoush, falafel appetizer, spanakopita, L&B-yaprak wrap, musakka, salmon izgara, beyti kabob, baklava, and kunefe for takeout The hummus was thick, smooth, and went well with the pita bread. The babaganoush was smoky. The falafels were a little crispy on the outside. The spanakopita looked like fried egg rolls! The filling was pretty salty-probably from the feta cheese. The L&B wrap wasn't anything special-it definitely needed more flavor. The musakka was basically veggies cooked in tomato sauce-was expecting it to be similar to the Greek dish moussaka. The salmon was tasty. The beyti kabob was saucy-the wrap around the meat got soggy. The baklava was super sweet. The kunefe was good-it wasn't too sweet. The cheese on the inside added a nice flavor.

Yelp
Oh my, this is the nice part of town, isn't it? I could tell because the neighborhood was called something Heights...Pacific, Presidio, whatever. You just know it must be kinda hoity-toity here. It's like on "I Love Lucy" when a hoity-toity magazine writer asked Lucy Ricardo where she lived, she responded "The East Side...Upper of course". I was taking a walk in the Presidio and was feeling peckish since I forgot my granola bar. I saw this nice-looking corner spot. Was it open? Why, yes it was as there was one couple in the dining room. I asked the server if I could dine in their outdoor seating on Presidio Avenue, and he was more than happy to oblige. There were quite a few selections on their lunch menu, and in fact, there were a lot of different menus. My hoity-toity radar went up for a sec, but I managed to zero in on what I wanted. First off were the $7 Dolmas, which were uncommonly tasty with the supple grape leaves wrapped around rice like sushi and squeezed with fresh lemon juice. There were four of them with a tangy yogurt sauce, and they were the ideal starter (photo: https://bit.ly/3CLb6Rs). My entree was the $15 Lamb & Beef Gyro Salad which was dominated by surprisingly tender shards of meat over a bed of mixed greens with tomatoes, cucumber, olives, and red onions. It was dressed lightly with a refreshing lemon vinaigrette (photo: https://bit.ly/3th2xL7). I found the service thoughtful considering the dearth of business at that time of day. I was also well out of his eye-line watching quite a few Heights residents passing by. Upper of course. FOOD - 5 stars...quite a tasty and meaty gyros salad, the dolmas top grade AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...very well appointed with spacious seating outdoors SERVICE - 4.5 stars...quite attentive TOTAL - 5 stars...feeling like I belong in the Heights RELATED - Exploring Pac Heights? Yelp
Some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had, and 10/10 service. Nice location as well, quiet in the afternoon. Lamb/beef wrap is soooo good and the rice pudding is excellent.
