Uh oh. Customer service isn't a forte. Friends and I went, ordered one drink (took at least 10 mins for the bartender to come over, without a busy bar). Next drink, go up again and stand at the bar to order (again, not busy, but waited 10 mins), and a man stood by me and was served first. Let me note that there are less than 10 people at the bar and the bartender noted me there first. So I rolled me eyes at the guy that ordered ahead of me and asked if he had seen me there and why he didn't let me order first. Dude - this weekend has been a horrible one for women...being a rude man isn't the time. I ordered after the guy. The bartender slammed down our drinks. I asked him why he did that and he screamed at me that "I was rude to one of the customers and that I shouldn't be talking to other customers. I can drink the drinks and get the hell out". You know, in front of ALL customers. So sat back down and drank our 2nd drink. I asked for an itemized copy of the receipt and took a picture, because he seemed like a shady guy that would help himself to an extra tip on our tab after making a scene.
When leaving I gave him the closed tab and told him that I hoped he had a better weekend going forward, and asked for the general manager info. He said that he was (note: he's also the guy that others that give a 1 star review comment on), Joey Hatfield. Again, he told me to not talk to customers (freedom of speech(?)) so I had to follow up with the people with their mouths dropped to the floor and told them what happened. When I looked back on our receipt, the bartender name was "Enrique M", so who actually knows what name the bartender actually is.
Idk what his problem was (bartender / general manager / Joey Hatfield), but no reason to treat customers that way. I didn't make a scene, just rolled me eyes and asked the guy why he felt he needed to be served first. I get that most men aren't used to women having a voice.
On another side note, there was a guy sitting at the bar (probs a local) that just had the whole bottle of bourbon in front of him, drinking at leisure...probably not paying for it (?) - maybe speculation. Seems like not the best practice for a money making establishment, idk.
Anyway, if you're a woman (or anyone who doesn't like being talked down / screamed at as a patron at a bar) try to avoid this place...you'll be treated like a second class citizen - I've got an idea how how this man thinks of humans rights!!
