The Best Cafes in Seattle for Remote Work | Eater Seattle

"In an age of restaurants shortening hours, let’s give it up for a place that’s open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Robin’s does dinner in the evenings but in the daytime it’s a light-filled, stylish place to park your laptop. Plus the food is a cut above most cafes, with bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on Brazilian cheese bread anchoring a strong breakfast menu." - Harry Cheadle

The Best New Restaurants in the Seattle Area | Eater Seattle

"The new spot in the former Art of the Table space is the second restaurant from Model Restaurant Group, which also operates the Greenwood American Bistro. The light-filled space and all-day hours (8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily) make it an ideal remote work location even if the food weren’t a cut above the standard diner-with-a-splash-of-PNW-influence fare. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, for instance, is served on pao de queijo, a gluten-free Brazilian tapioca bread that adds a dose of cheesiness, and it comes with shallot confit aioli, which adds a nice note of sweetness. If you have room, try the coffee cake muffin in all its chocolate-y glory." - Harry Cheadle

I recently moved to the neighborhood and discovered this fantastic new restaurant right across the street. I've visited a few times now, and I must say, it truly impresses! The food, crafted by Chef Robin, is outstanding—don't miss the tuna crudo and mushroom toast; they are must-tries. The cocktails are expertly crafted and absolutely delightful. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. After dining at various places, this one has definitely won me over as a regular!

Had an amazing experience at Robins last night. What a wonderful addition to the Seattle food scene and the Stone Way restaurants. The vibe is cozy and the staff work together like a beautiful symphony. It’s approachable food made with high quality ingredients. I cannot wait to come back! The vegan salad is out of this world.

I had the pleasure of dining at Robin's today, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. The service was absolutely amazing – the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and truly made us feel welcome the entire time. For appetizers, we started with the Roasted Summer Squash, the Baked Ladysmith, and the Albacore Crudo. Each dish was wonderfully prepared, but the Albacore Crudo was the standout for me – its freshness and delicate freshness were simply incredible. For the entree, I had the Braised Beef. The server explained that it usually comes with cheek meat, but today it was prepared with short ribs. I was not disappointed! The short ribs were tender, flavorful, and melted in my mouth. The apple rosemary mostarda that came with added a nice sweet tanginess to it that complemented the dish very well. To end the meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the Matchamisu and the Earl Grey Creme Brulee. Both desserts were divine, showcasing unique flavors and impeccable presentation. The Matchamisu had a perfect balance of matcha and sweetness, while the Earl Grey Creme Brulee was perfectly crispy on top and had silky and aromatic texture underneath. Overall, Robin's exceeded all expectations. The food was top-notch, the service was flawless, and the entire atmosphere made for a perfect dining experience. I can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Splendidly good neighborhood gem! Went for a date with my wife and couldn’t have been more impressed! Great wine, very tasty apps, and delicious mains. Reasonably priced for what it is, and good portion sizes too! Only complaint is that the skirt steak was a bit overly salty, but it was still yummy. Will return.

Absolutely amazing experience. My husband and I got the opportunity to visit Robin's for their soft opening tonight. First of all, all of the servers are so attentive and friendly. It is clear that they are extremely knowledgeable about the menu and can answer any questions you have about it. The food is absolutely delicious. We could tell a lot of thought went into the creation of the menu; it is small, but there is a close attention to detail with the ingredients used. I would describe it as American food with a twist. Strawberry rhubarb salad: one of the best salads l've ever tasted. A rich, sweet dressing, peanuts, and the tartness of the strawberries and sweetness from the rhubarb. Perfection. Slow roasted salmon: the salmon is extremely tender and buttery. It came with puréed yams, which was perfect to dip the salmon in, and cabbage. Safe to say this was one of my favorite dishes l've ever had and I cleaned my plate! Braised beef: my husband said this was in his top five dishes he's ever eaten. He was given a knife to cut the beef, but it was literally falling off the bone. It was delicious. Matcha misu: TO DIE FOR. This is the most unique dessert I have ever tasted and one that I didn't know I needed in my life until now. I would 100% come back for this. Earl grey creme brûlée: so unique! We absolutely loved this. The strong earl grey flavor alongside the burnt sugar is to die for. You cannot go wrong with anything you order here. Everything is so fresh and the ingredients are high quality--you are absolutely getting what you pay for (which can't be said for many Seattle restaurants). They also have a little cafe that opens earlier with coffee and pastries. The market also sells a broccoli rabe salad (absolutely mouthwatering). My husband and I loved our experience here and I woulo definitely recommend this for a nice date night. We are so happy it opened so close to our apartment and we will definitely be back soon!

Google
I got to try this restaurant today, and it was so delicious and a great addition to the Fremont neighborhood. The cocktails were great, I especially enjoyed the watermelon baby - super light and watermelon forward. My favorite appetizer was probably the albacore crudo, but we also tried the ladysmith and squash dishes which I loved. For my main, I had the salmon and I loved the sweet potato puree they paired it with - the salmon was cooked perfectly and retained its tenderness. To finish, we tried their matcha tiramisu and the earl grey crème brule. Both were great, but the earl grey crème brule had such a good earl grey flavor infused in it and the crispy sugar on the outside was so nice. great atmosphere, food and staff. i can't wait to come back

Get the Brazilian BEC (breakfast sandwich) omggg you will not regret it. The bacon was perfectly crispy, nice runny egg, fresh avocado, melty gouda, and on a cheesy pão de queijo bun which was super unique! I’ve never had a breakfast sandwich like this before and would give it a 10/10. 👏🏼 The place was a lot larger than I thought! Lots of street parking in the area. Plenty of seating and an outdoor patio. They have a wine bar, coffee bar, and chef’s table seating around the kitchen as well. Saw a few families there, so it’s definitely kid friendly and wheelchair accessible (no stairs). The server told me they just opened in early May 2025, so it’s still very new to the neighborhood but I can already tell it’s going to be a big hit! *Disclaimer, I was invited by Yelp Elite to come review this restaurant, but it’s unpaid and unbiased. All my reviews are genuine opinions. Will definitely be coming back!

Google
Delicious meal! The asparagus on the spring menu is beyond delectable. For an entree the pork capicola was so good I had to refrain myself from licking the plate. THEN, the in-house carrot cake and accompanying cappuccino was probably the best cake I’ve had in the city and some of the best coffee. 100%+ give this place a try.

Yelp
I was at Robin's recently and while here I bought a cold brew coffee. I ordered at the counter and had a seat while they prepared my drink. I like the interior design of Robin's Restaurant and Market. It is nice and roomy with a wraparound bar seating area commanding the center of the venue. There are bookcases and display shelves with items for sale as well. My cold brew came out and I added a bit of milk to it and was on my way. Tasty drink.

Yelp
Bringing some classy vibes to Stone street! What a cute place. Simple but delicious menu. AJ was so sweet as my server! She was very informative and helpful! The Huevos Rqncheros were absolutely fantastic- the sauces is so dark, rich and bursting with flavor! Perfection in a bowl! The coffee was so smooth and velvety! The roast beef sandwich rocked my day! The sauce on it made it extra!!! I loved the very necessary but cute umbrella outside. The sun is quite strong on their patio! It's new so I think they are still putting some touches on the place. They need to put hooks on the back of the bathroom doors b/c ladies don't want to put their purse on the bathroom floor!!l I LOVED THE SOAP they use! It smelled heavenly. I will be back for dinner! You should try this charming little place.

Yelp
My family and I had a great experience at Robin's Restaurant & Market. I ordered the Roast Beef Sandwich, hubby ordered the Huevos Rancheros and daughter ordered the Waffle Sando. We enjoyed our meal! Everything was flavorful and portions were appropriately sized. I was impressed with the egg patty in the waffle sando, which was a firm custard texture and was held together well with the waffle. We rounded out the meal with a slice of carrot cake. On warm days, they keep it in the fridg, so you may need to ask for it, which I recommend you do! While you place your order at the counter and then find your seat, I found the customer service to be outstanding. Every interaction we had with staff was super friendly and helpful. Robin's is also dog friendly. We were allowed to bring our dog inside, so we could order. We sat in the patio where there was a water bowl available.

Yelp
I was very happy with my experience at Robin's! I ordered the summer squash sandwich with chips and my friend ordered the salmon plate breakfast. I thought the salmon plate looked a bit small for what it cost but my friend was very impressed with the quality of salmon! I loved my sandwich. Service was friendly and fast, and the patio seating was lovely on a summer day.

Yelp
I came in around 3 PM on a Wednesday. Parking was free street parking for two hours. The staff were super friendly and helpful, recommending sandwiches they liked. I appreciated the spacious, good-vibe atmosphere while waiting for my to-go order. The Brazilian BEC sandwich was delicious and very fulfilling!

Yelp
Great new spot in Fremont/Wallingford! The Spice Girl cocktail was so good. Refreshing with a perfect amount of kick. Next we had the Strawberry Rhubarb Salad. So yummy. Nice creamy dressing, tart & sweet, and an almond crunch to top it off! Now the Braised Beef...wow! Tender meat with the most delicious sauce and flavors. I was literally licking the plate with my finger at the end. I couldn't get enough. Finished with the Rainier Cherry Cobbler for dessert. Pretty good! Only thing I would've changed would be ice cream instead of whipped cream, as it was piping hot from the oven and the whipped cream melted fast. The staff said they're hopefully working on a house made ice cream soon! Speaking of the staff...service was very friendly and fast! They also have a great wine list with affordable bottle prices. We did some wine by the glass, but will definitely do a bottle next time! Overall it was a great experience. The space is airy and light, with an open kitchen prep area and you could sit at the chef's counter if you wanted. I could definitely see myself coming back here!

Yelp
Stopped in for a weekend breakfast with my friend and loved how large the space is! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and also have giftable home items inside like bottles of wine, cookbooks, etc. We tried the waffle sando, brazilian BEC, and an iced latte. Both sandwiches were delicious and filling ($12-14). The latte was not strong at all - not my favorite, but flavor was still good. They also had a great array of baked goods, so I'll definitely come by to try it again. Service wise, they were friendly and attentive. No concerns!

Yelp
Robin's Restaurant and Market just opened under a month ago, courtesy of the same folks who also run The Greenwood American Bistro. It is located along a transforming Stone Way in Fremont....lots of new cafes, restaurants, and retail at street level of several condo/apartment complexes and ongoing new construction. I had just read an intriguing feature about Robin's in Infatuation Seattle earlier that day (4/18/25). So intriguing I ended up having a late lunch al fresco onsite. I had a tiny mocha ($6), the grilled chicken sandwich ($19), and a carrot cake slice ($9). The pair at the pastry/coffee counter were pretty receptive and well versed with the menu items. I appreciated the answers provided to my various questions. The GM type also carried an informative convo passing by my table twice. I'm just glad I brought my sunglasses and managed not to fry in the direct sunshine - no umbrella or exterior awning. Since this was my lone meal for the entire day, this truly hit the spot. The sandwich was grilled, nicely assembled with the chicken, bacon, cheese, and lettuce and touch of condiments. I was ambitious about the carrot cake, but managed to eat half. The rest taken home stood up fairly well being refrigerated later. A quality slice worthy of its price. The mocha was okay. With that volume though I should have stuck with a cortado or better yet just water with my meal. This lunch splurge with tax and tip was a hair under $43! A bit pricey. But that's the reality with quality ingredients and the current economy.

Yelp
Robin's has a fantastic selection of food and drinks/eats wise something for everyone. So far I have tried the Brazilian BEC, grilled chicken sandwich, and harrier bowl (quinoa, beans, potatos, and other great stuff). + BEC - The "bread" of the BEC sandwich is in the style of brazilian cheese bread, which makes it extra rich and delicious. The egg was perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the avo and bacon. The standout, but it's very rich! + Grilled chicken sandwich - the chicken was perfectly tender, and the flavors reminded me of a twist on pesto. Very good as well! + Harrier bowl - comes with quinoa, black beans, sweet potatoes, slaw, beets, kimchi, spices, and soft boiled egg. I loved that this was on the menu, as one of the healthier options. Very flavorful and great variety of ingredients. This place is a bit on the pricier end. The cooking also took quite awhile - we visited lunchtime on Monday, and even though there were fewer than 5 groups at the restaurant, our food took about ~ 10-15 minutes to arrive. This place is new so maybe they're still streamlining that. Really love that they have an open kitchen though. Overall this is a great place for a mid-higher price tiered brunch. A solid option if you're in the area.

Yelp
Robin's is a good addition to the Fremont neighborhood! They have a great selection of wine to take home. I also love their pastries and granola bars. They're fresh and delicious. The staff is also super friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I've had a sandwich here before and then returned this time for the carrot cake! I thought they didn't have it, but when I asked, I found out that they kept it in the fridge because it was a warm day. The carrot cake is pretty good, but I keep wondering why the icing tastes salty. It acts like salted caramel so I enjoy the flavor somewhat but it's a little different from regular carrot cake.

Yelp
My experience at Robins transpired on a Sunday morning when my wife and I stopped in for brunch. We drove up from South Puget Sound and we were surprised to find the restaurant to be rather empty on such a beautiful day. Nonetheless, we were immediately greeted when we arrived and the gentleman behind the counter explained that we should order with him before finding our seats. After scanning the menu we settled on sharing the Brazilian BEC and the Huevos Rancheros. They had plenty of baked goods but we elected not to partake. In short, the Brazilian BEC was unbelievable, from texture to flavor, it was perfection. The huevos rancheros left a lot to be desired; it had great texture but absolutely zero flavor. It was rather disappointing especially because it looked amazing from a presentation aspect. Overall the restaurant was clean, the service was polite, and the food was decent enough to earn 3 stars. I hope to return in the future with better luck.

Yelp
Wow, thank you Yelp for the recommendation! Parking can be a bit challenging in this area so make sure to allow extra time to park and possibly walk. It's a great area with lots of people walking around and different shops/restaurants. I started my order with a Cherry Smoke drink to sip on throughout my meal. It's the perfect balance of tart and fruity. My husband and I ordered the Albacore Crudo appetizer to share, delicious! It's raw albacore over a light sauce. I had the slow roasted salmon and my husband had the half chicken. Our entrees were prepared well and exquisite! I recommend the salmon, it comes with a sweet potato whip (it has a fancier name haha), SO GOOD! It's a bit pricey, so it was a dinner treat for us, but we would come back for a special occasion. The staff were helpful and friendly, too.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was amazing. You have to get the mushroom toast, one of the best things I've ever had. Carter the waiter was wonderful and knew everything about the menu. The pasta was so good too. Go to this place!
google avatar

Yelp
excellent brunch, lattes, carrot cake (menu varies at the bakery). ordering is done at the counter.

Yelp
Food was great and the service was friendly. Not a fan of the tip percentage starting so high especially since they don't wait your table. Since the food was a 4/5 that's the rating.

Yelp
Grilled Chicken Sandwich was really good!! $20 but I think it's worth the price, they use quality ingredients. I picked it up and brought it home, was still warm when I got back. Would definitely recommend! Chicken was juicy and not overcooked. I'll be back to try other options or just get this again. Really enjoyed it, glad to have a new place in the neighborhood.

Yelp
This place was awesome! So glad it is in Fremont!! They are great with allergies and the food is so very deliciously unique! Don't question making a stop in here. Service was awesome and the restaurant has a chill comforting vibe

Yelp
Although Robin's has not officially opened, we noticed their market door was open (to their coffee and breakfast shop) and had an advertisement out front, so we walked in. We were greeted by a very friendly barista (thanks AJ!) and tried their fig and goat cheese scone and their breakfast sandwich (the first on the menu). The scone was neither dry nor dense and is one of the best textures I've had in any scone of in the Fremont/Stoneway/Wallingford area. Neither flavor overpowered the other. I cannot wait to try whatever their baker comes up with next. My partner and I could not get over how delicious the sandwich was. First, the bread (some kind of non-gluten Spanish cheese dough?) was soft, supple, and loaded with flavor. The egg was not overcooked (my common complaint) and there was a deeply flavored caramelized onion sauce that reminded me of French onion soup. We cannot wait to go back to try more of their breakfast items and look forward to what Chef comes up with for dinner service. We didn't try their coffee, but will be going back as soon as they open.

Yelp
This restaurant is soooo cute and the market area has great books! The food was absolutely amazing! We've been to Chef Rico's other restaurant The Greenwood American Bistro so we HAD to try this one out too. The deserts are not on the menu but OMG they were to die for. Definitely coming back soon to try brunch!

Katie G.

Yelp
We had dinner at Robin's tonight and were absolutely blown away. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food? Outrageously good--creative, beautifully plated, and packed with flavor. Every dish felt thoughtful and elevated without being pretentious. The service was equally outstanding. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the team here truly cares about creating a memorable dining experience. It's rare to feel so well taken care of without a hint of stuffiness--just sincere hospitality. The vibe inside Robin's is spot-on too: cozy yet refined, with a lively energy that makes you want to linger. It already feels like one of those places you hope stays in the neighborhood forever. Stoneway is lucky to have a spot like this. We'll be spreading the word and coming back often. Here's hoping Robin's becomes a long-term staple--Seattle needs more restaurants like this!

Yelp
Disclaimer *** this is solely a review on service.... We came in for HH on a quiet Sunday afternoon after their grand opening. No unreasonable expectations, understanding there would be weeks ahead of working out kinks and understanding what the customer base wanted.. However upon entering, the kinks are more than just the space. The biggest gripe I have is the staff. Not only is there no indication of whether it's a cafe or dinner spot or what..... but then when we headed to the counter, the staff were so over it apparently that there was no greeting or even the need to address customers, the two people at the counter just continued their quiet conversation despite us standing there hoping to order... only until I finally said Hello? And then they asked us what we wanted. We ordered off the menu only to be told they were the wrong menus... ok... so show us the new menus then? The person was so not wanting to be there, that why would we continue to stay either? All this to say staffing is lackluster. Which is super disappointing considering you just opened and your staff is already hating their life apparently... Lots of 5 star reviews on the page so far but gotta think are they all legit given the service....

Yelp
The concept of a waffle breakfast sandwich is great; the execution is poor. The waffle was delicious but putting mayo and lettuce on a breakfast sandwich ruined it for me, and the "egg patty" was straight out of a Marriott free breakfast buffet. Rework this one.

Ben B.

Yelp
I've been by this place a couple of times since it opened, it's been really nice every time I go. I tried it out near 10 one morning for a late breakfast and got the waffle, which was absolutely worth it. It wasn't overly sweet on its own, which I liked, and it came with really good maple syrup and bacon. They also make a good espresso shot, I had that with my breakfast. Other times I've gone there I've gotten the waffle sandwich, which has a egg patty, bacon and avocado. Again, wherever they get their bacon from, it's very good. I also tried their roast beef sandwich. That was very good, they clearly roast the beef in house and everything. The bread on it is also good, the sandwich has a good bread to filling ratio. It's filling, definitely worth the price. I don't have pictures of when I went there for dinner, but the dinner menu was on the same level as the lunch menu, everything was great. I had the beef short rib and the asparagus with duck egg, those were both great. Super tender beef, super good sauces. When I was there the service was pretty smooth. It has a bit of both a restaurant and a cafe atmosphere, you can sit outside and do paperwork or you could sit inside at the chef's counter or a table.

Sara V.

Yelp
Amazing food and ambience!!! The chefs did an AMAZING job on all the food we got! From the special order vegan meal to fork tender skirt steak and perfect salmon dish, it was a wonderful experience!! And definitely try the one-of-a kind mushroom toast!!! If you live in or near Seattle, or if you're just visiting we would definitely recommend it!

Tasha F.

Yelp
My family had the most amazing dinner at Robin's restaurant this week. The food was fresh and creative ,with flavors I would not have thought to put together and which totally worked. We shared the roasted salmon, the pasta dish , mushroom toast and baked ladysmith cheese. Everything was tasty - we couldn't even pick a favorite. The space is also lovely - simple, modern and airy , and the most genuine and friendly staff. Can't wait to come back and try breakfast and lunch . Don't hesitate- just go!!

Yelp
We had an amazing dinner at Robin's! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We started with great house curated cocktails and appetizers - mushrooms on toast which was to die for and the asparagus appetizer was so delicious, too. For dinner we had the salmon and chicken - also delicious! Our meal ended with an unbelievable matcha tiramisu. We sat at the kitchen bar which was great to see the chefs do their magic. We can't wait to come back! Thank you Carter and Chef Rachel for making our experience unforgettable.

Yelp
Try all the white wine. Dishes were top tier for taste, portions and ingredient quality. Sauce on the drumsticks was insane. Strawberry Rhubarb salad, can recommend. The Carrot Cake was fresh.

Elliott O.

Yelp
Get the braised beef and the tequila cocktail. Service was really great. I'm excited to go back with my husband.

Belle B.

Yelp
NO FOOD 3-5. Was very disappointed they're claiming they have a happy hour. They offered us seats in a back corner and said there were drink specials and we could have a breakfast pastry. Other than that it looks cute and nice.

Nadine S.

Yelp
A great neighborhood place for both breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious, inventive, and the service great. It's spacious and not too loud - you can actually have a conversation. The wines by the bottle are really reasonable and independently sourced- and no cork fee.

Joshua T.

Yelp
Wonderful meal and wonderful service. Absolutely blown away by the entire experience (atmosphere, vibe, etc). Only come if you're looking for a good time, paired with fantastic food and drinks. The cherry smoke was a hit for my fiancé and I. I ordered the risotto and the chef came out and personally asked about it, which I couldn't help but praise. Don't think about coming here, just do it.

Skyla S.

Yelp
New restaurant alert!! I'm often hesitant to try a place without a healthy amount of reviews, but Robin's 100% delivered. The staff were friendly and attentive (but not too attentive), the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Some standouts were the strawberry salad (honestly, I wish I had ordered this for dessert), the mushroom toast (perfection, the mushrooms were not too mushroomy), whatever sauce they used on the duck egg (goat cheese foam??), the salmon (perfectly cooked), and the matcha cake (exactly what you want from a matcha cake). Some misses (for me):I wouldn't recommend the ahi crudo for people who don't like spicy food - it was a bit strong for me. I think the asparagus and egg should have come with a piece of bread to mop up the amazing sauce + yolk. I literally (discreetly!) licked the plate to get it all. The fudge cake had a strong, slightly off-putting, smoky flavor. Everything else = delish. I am excited to try their future lunch offerings, which our server said would include "build your own" charcuterie. I'll also sit at the bar next time I come for dinner - seems like there would be a great view of the kitchen. Already looking forward to it!

This place took my breath away. A restaurant with a casual feel but a fine dining experience. Had the mushroom toast which totally exceeded my expectations. The strawberry rhubarb salad might be a new personal favorite with this smoked almond dressing which was to die for. And the braised beef which was extremely tender! Definitely come check this new fun place out!
