The 15 Best Tasting Menus in Orlando, Florida | Eater Miami

"Tavistock, the investment firm that helped build the community of Lake Nona, appears intent on chasing stars with this moody, design-forward supper spot, where the well-dressed dine on high-end, Japanese-leaning fare curated by chefs Freddy Money (of Michelin-starred Atlas in Atlanta) and Jason Belliveau. Lobster doughnuts dusted with matcha, robata salmon with red ponzu, and snow-aged wagyu from Niigata Prefecture are requisite delights. A 10-seat omakase counter sees foie, caviar, and otoro flow. Note to tourists: a dress code is in full effect, so no ball caps, flip-flops, or tank tops." - Faiyaz Kara

Nami Restaurant in Orlando is an absolute must, especially if you can get a seat at the chef’s counter. The chef’s counter experience was hands down the highlight of our visit and unlike anything else we’ve done in the area. It felt less like a typical dinner and more like a live performance paired with incredible food. Watching the chefs work up close was both entertaining and impressive. Every dish was prepared with precision, creativity, and a lot of personality. The chefs interacted with guests, explained what they were making, and added humor and energy throughout the night, which made the whole experience feel fun, relaxed, and personal. It truly felt like dinner and a show all in one. Of course, the food was outstanding. Each course was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You could tell a lot of thought went into every detail, from the ingredients to the plating. Nothing felt rushed, and each dish built on the last, making the entire meal feel intentional and special. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in Orlando—not just a good meal—Nami’s chef’s counter delivers. It’s perfect for a date night, celebration, or anyone who enjoys great food with a little excitement. We’d absolutely do it again.

This was our first time at Nami and it was fan-freaking-tastic. The menu is so innovative and the flavors are so unique and delicious. We loved every single thing we ate. The chicken wings, hamachi and tuna maki were standouts. Our server Edwin D was fantastic. He was kind, attentive and engaging. Such a fabulous experience!

Google
This place is exquisite from start to finish. The food was amazingly delicious. Each dish was presented so creatively and was so tasty. The service was impeccable. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about each entree and they would time each of the entrees coming out in a way that it wouldn’t overwhelm and overcrowd the table and we can eat in peace. We had caviar, oysters, lobster fried rice, sushi and so much more. I highly recommend visiting this place for an. The atmosphere was inviting and dimly lit, sexy and unique. Amazing experience all around 👌🏽

Google
10/10 service by Pablo! He recommended the perfect drinks and food. We went for our anniversary celebration and the staff all wished us and made us feel very special with a cute note too! The atmosphere was gorgeous and the food was even better. 100% will go back for the lobster donuts, lamb chops and hamachi.

My husband and I visited for their Magical Dining menu, and the entire experience was exceptional! Every dish was flavorful, generously portioned, and beautifully presented. Our server was not only attentive but also a joy to chat with, adding a personal touch to the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant was vibrant and inviting. Perfect for a night out. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

This was our first time dining at the Chef’s Counter with Chef Jason and Sous Chef Kyle, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Each course was not only delicious but also came with Chef Jason’s personal stories and insights into what inspired the dish, which made the evening both entertaining and meaningful. The entire team was attentive, accommodating, and incredibly welcoming. Chef Jason made the night feel personable and fun — we never felt like just guests, but part of the experience itself. I also want to mention our server, Katrina, who was wonderful throughout the night. She was warm, attentive, and really added to the overall experience. We highly recommend Chef Jason, Sous Chef Kyle, Katrina, and the entire team for anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience.

Yelp
Beautiful, romantic atmosphere, kind and attentive service, and top notch dishes make Nami a must-add to your Orlando culinary bucket list. We started with the oysters which were one of my favorite bites of the night. Tangy, tart, sweet, and salty. Next, we had the madai which was a perfect follow-up as it was delicate, clean, and delicious. My favorite dish of the night were the lobster donuts - essentially bite-sized lobster rolls that were packed with flavor. For the main courses we went with the Hokkaido scallops (note only 1 scallop per order and they are fairly small, so recommend getting two if you're sharing) and the lamb chops. Both were incredible. I couldn't stop going back for more of the sauce the scallops are sitting in. Finally, we ended with a couple of old fashioneds and the matcha/sesame/chocolate cake. The cocktails were great, well balanced and the table side cedar burning really adds to the experience. The dessert was good, but probably my least favorite bite of the night as I felt the sesame, matcha, and chocolate competed with one another. Reservations are highly recommended as it's a smaller venue, although there are a few bar seats so I would assume they allow walk-ins when space allows. Overall we had an incredible experience and will look forward to returning when we're planning our next splurge meal!

Yelp
WOW, what an experience! We had a Saturday night reservation at 6:30 and it did not disappoint. Our server, Laura, was awesome -- super attentive and gave us great recommendations all night. We kicked things off with the lobster donuts, tuna maki, hamachi, and oysters. The hamachi melted in our mouths and the lobster donuts were so fluffy with the homemade bread. After that we tried the tuna pizza, octopus, and crab avocado salad -- all delicious, but the tuna pizza and octopus were definitely favorites. For mains we went big: lobster, sea bass, wagyu, fried rice, cauliflower, mashed potatoes, scallop, and mushrooms. The wagyu (flown in from Australia!) was insane -- buttery and melt-in-your-mouth good. The scallop was tasty but just a tiny portion, so heads up on that. Dessert was the perfect finish -- matcha chocolate, golden rocher, and fruit sorbet. The vibe was intimate, with low music in the background so you could actually hear everyone at the table. Perfect spot for a date night or even a small double date. Overall, one of the BEST restaurants we've tried and we'll 100% be back next time we're in Orlando!

Yelp
Went to Nami for a bougie date night with the hubs. We sat at the bar this time and were so glad we did. The bartender, David was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions. He was also a very skilled bartender. All of the food was delicious. We had the lobster donut ( tiny but tasty) The chicken wings ( decadent) The ribeye with wasabi mashed potatoes and the asparagus with hollandaise sauce. ( we cleaned the plate) For dessert we got the golden rocher which was divine. The sesame took it over the top. The bartender even made us an off menu dessert drink to pair with it that took it over the top. It's a bit pricey.. we had 5 drinks total and the food mentioned above and the cost was $300. So, it's a nice restaurant for a special occasion or if you want a little splurge. We love date night at The Wave Hotel and it's fun to get dressed up and go to one of their restaurants or bars for date night. We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
I walked in with a friend and was thankfully able to get a spot at the bar. I don't eat meat/seafood but still wanted to try what I could. Listen, even the veggies are delicious here! I got the cucumber salad and the cauliflower side. Both packed with flavor. I also got the lilac cocktail which was STRONG and had some good flavors. This venue is beautiful so dress to impress. Service at the bar was great and the bartender was quite knowledgeable. I would return but I do feel like this is more of a special occasion venue for me.

Yelp
I came here on a date night with my husband and we were blow away! We loved the ambiance from the moment we walked in, and our server was absolutely incredible. Helpful with suggestions and fun to talk with. Everything we ordered was delicious and we cannot wait to go back & enjoy more! Definitely recommend.

Lowella G.

Yelp
Came here with a couple of girlfriends for dinner. Reservations are a must. Classy and sophisticated so be sure you are dressed to impress. The ambience is dim, warm, intimate and inviting. Our service was amazing from start to finish. This was my first time dining here and our waiter Pablo was friendly and helpful. He went over the menu and even suggested his favorite dishes. Everything he recommended was delicious. Though the portions are small, it was more than enough for my girlfriends and I to share. We shared the cucumbers, madai, hamachi and robota salmon were fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the nami nuggets and the mushroom donabe. I was really impressed with the service and food here. No wonder they earned a Michelin award. So if you're looking for something that's sexy and low key, come here. It's perfect for date night or a nice dinner with friends.

Yelp
I love a restaurant that not only is super Instagram bowl but has great food and Nami is definitely that! My husband and I came for a date night at the chefs counter and the experience was literally unmatched. I honestly have to say probably one of my best experiences ever so many courses so many opportunities to try new food and so many delicious bites! I highly recommend

Yelp
Nami was exquisite! Customer service was A1, located in the wave hotel! We walked in without a reservation and sat at the bar. The bartenders i'd like to shout out are Savannah. We were given a complimentary appetizer which was tuna I believe in a rice paper cracker and it was outstanding. Super creamy and the flavor profile was different than anything I've tasted before. I ordered the ivory drink which had vodka, lemongrass, and green apple and it was the perfect light and refreshing drink. The drink creeps up on you for sure. My favorite bite had to be the tuna pizza that had fresh tuna, red onion, avocado, and some sort of citrusy marinade, truly spectacular. I definitely recommend it for a sexy night out or a celebration, the ambiance is expected with such a nice hotel like the Wave. It is on the pricier side but definitely worth it!

Yelp
Nami is located in Lake Nona at the Wave Hotel. I found this place when staying here and I was so impressed. My first impression walking in is I LOVED the ambiance. When we sat down we were immediately greeted by the team, they were all working together to make sure we had the best experience. Our server, I wish I could remember her name but she was just so amazing from the beginning to end. She had brown hair (sorry I can't remember). She started off by asking if we wanted her input on what to order, we definitely did. She knew the entire menu with descriptions and portion size because we shared everything. She was absolutely right about everything she suggested. The food was 100/10 I already want to go back and eat the oysters. I included photos of everything. The drinks were Japanese inspired and so unique including sake which was an amazing touch.

Yelp
We absolutely love this place, amazing sushi like apps, and delicious entrees. The drinks are great too! the atmosphere and vibes are amazing here, must check out the cute bathrooms! they are all different. 10/10 recommend Nami.

Yelp
This place was INSANE. We didn't have reservations and we showed up and were able to get two seats at the bar. It is so cute inside, and the outside is also very cool. The drinks were okay, they weren't anything to call home about and they were small portions for the price. But the FOOD!!! That is what was insane. I've had chili oil cucumbers several times but NONE that were ever as tasty as here. The portions are small for the price but the flavor is insane. The dessert was to die for as well. The price tag is pretty large but I would definitely say it is worth it, and I will be back!!

Yelp
What an experience!! Nami has quickly become a new favorite! My family of 5 which included my grandmother, mom, dad and my husband went out on Saturday to celebrate my husband's birthday. We started with their valet which is $15 and mobile friendly. You can text them when you're ready to pick up your car! The gentleman outside was very kind and patient helping my nana get out of the car. When we walked in about 10 minutes early to our reservation, they all warmly greeted us and wished my husband a happy birthday. We were immediately seated. The ambiance inside is unmatched! Dimly lit and beautiful yet modern decor all around. Our server, Pablo was a gem! He had such an electric attitude and was very helpful in our decision making for food. One of my favorite things was my dad had a small toothache in the middle of our dinner and without us noticing that he noticed, Pablo brought over a cup full of shaved ice which my dad was amazed by! It even helped that pain! Now the food... WOW! Some of the best food I've had in a long time locally! It's really hard to pinpoint a favorite or a must try dish because honestly everything was a must try. There wasn't one dish that I wasn't absolutely blown away by! I hope Nami is around for a long time because everyone needs to try this place!

Yelp
Nami is located in the Wave Hotel of Lake Nona. The restaurant has a very intimate atmosphere with dim lighting. The servers are very detailed when describing the menu. The drinks are really good and strong! I'll say one drink is enough to make you feel good lol. The food was phenomenal!! From the presentation to the taste!!! I highly recommend this place especially if you're visit Lake Nona. And no worries about the parking, the hotel has a free parking deck.

Yelp
First impression...gorgeous room! Whoever designed the restaurant, well done! The food was all delicious. Had the madai crudo, spicy hamachi maki, avacado/crab salad, the lamb main, and a side of curried cauliflower. Shared everything with my beautiful date and it satisfied us both. Service started strong and tailed off a bit at the middle of the service when more tables were filled. Would visit again to try more of the menu. Love that Orlando is filled with great hotel restaurants.

Yelp
Classy and romatic ambiance. Service was excellent ! Food was nicely presented and the seasonings in each dish did not overpower and brought out the main ingredient's flavor. I was hesitating on ordering the Mushroom Donabe but I ended liking it the most out of the dishes we sampled. I enjoyed the eggplant and sea bass as well. Unfortunately I was disapponted with the lamb chops as the ones we got were not tender and were on the chewy side. We weren't impressed by the lobster donuts either. Makes for a memorable experience and have already recommended to coworkers/friends. Located at the Wave Hotel in Lake Nona, convenient garage parking across available.

Yelp
I've been to Nami 3 times now and this has quickly become one of my favorite places for a bougie night out with amazing food and a fun atmosphere. Their cocktails are top notch and I really appreciate that they also have unique zero-proof mocktail options that I was able to enjoy while pregnant. Being located at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel is a huge plus as well. This eclectic, art-centered hotel is such a beautiful property and so much fun to explore. You can make a full date night out of it and enjoy drinks before or after dinner at multiple bar options within the hotel, explore the outdoor sculpture garden, and even head upstairs to the HAVEN Lounge for their nightlife experience. It's quite a drive for us, so we like to make the most of it when we're out that way! Nami is a stunning contemporary Japanese restaurant with talented chefs, including Michelin-starred Chef Freddie Money. I've gotten to try a good portion of the menu at this point and some of my favorite dishes are: - Cucumber with crispy chili - Westholme Wagyu - Nami Nuggets (so addicting) - Octopus - Spicy Hamachi - Chilean Sea Bass - Lamb Chops - Mushroom Donabe You'll also want to save room for their incredible, indulgent desserts like the Golden Rocher and the Panna Cotta. The Panna Cotta has an interactive element involving a freeze-dried rose... just go for it! I still haven't tried the Chef's Counter at Nami, but it's on my Orlando bucket list.

Yelp
Nami is one of the best newer restaurants in Orlando. Appropriately named (means wave in Japanese) as it is located in Lake Nona's Wave Hotel. It's beautifully done and doesn't feel like a typical Orlando restaurant. The food was excellent as was the service. The filet was cooked exactly as we ordered, tender, and flavorful. It came with wasabi mashed potatoes which were perfectly whipped. The Chilean sea bass was on the sweeter side but again perfectly cooked. The mushroom donabe was earthier in flavor and tasted even better the next day. The cucumber salad is the best. The wagyu sliders were also tender and flavorful. The hamachi is the only thing that we could have passed on. It was good for Florida tho. Also we were late for our reservation and ended up sitting at the bar. I was a bit worried about it but the service from the bar staff was worth the change. Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 5/5

Yelp
Upscale japanese restaurant inside wave hotel. Its elegant and it has such a warm and inviting feel. The menu is quite limited and its pretty easy to spend a lot with only 2 dishes so we chose the $75 prix fixe menu, which everyone at our table was required to order but in my opinion its more worth it. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to us. From the food to drinks selection. The only thing is everyone should choose the same thing. We got about 7-8 dishes with desserts. We had nori rice crackers with the delicious sauce, edamame with the sweet and savory sauce, the oyster was the best oyster I'ved ever had, the tuna crudo was so good too, the bacon was not an ordinary bacon, so fatty and flavorful. Its probably one of the best in the menu. We got the crispy pork katsu with apple & cabbage salad. Honestly for the katsu it was the same as other regular katsu if its not for the sauce on side. Lastly we got the yummiest dessert, its mango cake and mango sorbet. So good! Overall, it was such an amazing experienced and we all had the great time!

Yelp
Gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS. Inside The Wave Hotel which it's beautiful itself, Nami is a stunning restaurant tucked into the back side of the building. When you walk in you are greeted by the hostesses, as well as a sign that mentions a dress code - you definitely want to dress nice here, is the short of it. They will open up a massive door to your left where the restaurant main room expands with trees, ambient lighting, and small table lights for an intimate dining experience with whomever you're with. The servers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the manager also came over to discuss the Sake bottle we purchased and ensure everything was going well. The food - is predominately seafood, wagyu, and pork. There was no poultry on the menu and really it is more like a small plates / tapas kind of place because everything is a la carte so you end up with a bunch of plates and everyone was sharing at our table, it worked out well. The food was delicious, of course, and the presentation was so nice - my favorite above all was the wagyu fried dumplings, though i'm not 100% sure what it was called on the menu! Very expensive, I would like to note - with four people it was almost $600 after tip for the table. My Espresso Martini was $30, for reference!

Yelp
Have been wanting to go to Nami for over a year and finally got the chance to for my birthday. The restaurant inside is absolutely beautiful. We had reservations at 8:30 but unfortunately didn't get seated until 9:15. The waitress was extremely kind and very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Don't get me wrong the food was delicious but the portion sizes were on the small side. My sister got the lamb chops and it was honestly all bone, barely any meat on it at all. I got the chicken wings and it was 4 very small pieces of chicken. We also ordered the tuna pizza and for it being priced at $17 and it fitting in the palm of my hand we weren't that pleased. They did give me a complementary ice cream that was really good! But I would say it was a decent one time experience kinda restaurant.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
From the atmosphere to the service, everything was wonderful. They started us out with complimentary rice crackers and a rich dipping sauce. We then tried the lobster donuts which were lobster roll sandwich. These were excellent. Then we tried the octopus which was very soft and tender. Highly recommend. I got the tuna pizza which I loved. My mother got the oysters which she said were good but the acidity in the vinegar was strong. For the main I got the salmon with white rice which was extremely tender and delicious. For dessert since it was my mother's birthday they gave her a complimentary raspberry ice-cream which was delicious. We will be back to try more items.

Yelp
Came to nami during magical dining for my birthday and everything was so fresh and delicious. The magical dining menu had a surprisingly good variety and my husband who is not a raw sushi lover even enjoyed his raw sushi appetizers. My only complaint is I wish they had more intimate seating arrangements for parties of 2.

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Upon arriving we were told we can go to the bar while we wait on our table. Entering the restaurant it's a perfect space, dim lights and sets the vibe. We decided to drink the lychee martini (Blush) all night. The drink was delicious, we kept asking for more. They have bar seating as well as booths and a tables. We decided to do magical dining and started off with the tofu dip, highly recommend. Then we got the Nami maki and tuna crudo, both tasted good but I'd definitely go with just tuna crudo next time. For entree my friend got the lamb chops and I got the salmon, which was delicious as well, I really enjoyed the crispy skin. For dessert we got the hot chocolate fondant and the banana. I have to say I preferred the banana, it was so creative and yummy! The service was exceptional, very attentive and would refill our water constantly as well as clean the table as they picked up and brought the other food. The hotel is gorgeous also. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Finally came to try this place out for Magical Dining tonight and it was one of the best meals we've had in awhile! It's a bit confusing to find as the entrance is technically outside the wave hotel around the back (you can walk through the hotel first and follow the fish on the sidewalk outside). The ambience and decor feels very chic and elevated and I love that they start you off with a towel they soak in warm water to wipe off your hands. Our server, Miguel, was super friendly and made great recommendations. The portions were great considering it is designed more like tapas and the presentation was beautiful. We ordered non-alcoholic cocktails that were very flavorful and pretty. They even give you an extra starter course as part of the Magical Dining menu that was super tasty. We got the tuna and nuggies appetizers - both of which was great and we also ordered the cucumber salad off the menu which was also great. For our meal, we got the lamb chops with potato salad (potato salad was very good) and the pork katsu with coleslaw (coleslaw was also super good and we liked the sauces). For dessert, we got the hot chocolate matcha (it has lots of flavor but nothing is too overpowering) and the vanilla cake which had lots of tropical flavors. We were super full by the end and ended up taking part of our meals and dessert home which they box up for you and when provided a purse hook to hang the paper bags containing the leftovers. The check was brought in a little box and upon returning our credit card, we were given a small piece of homemade fudge with an edible wrapper that was great. Our entire experience was top notch and we look forward to visiting again soon!

Yelp
Came here to see what the spot is about. The food was ok. Had an order of ribeye and lamb chops. The ribeye was to chewy and seemed a little less hooked then the medium temperature that was recommended. When it came to the lamb chops, only 2 of the 4 really had adequate meat on them which was also disappointing. The potato salad was great and the asparagus was amazing. The drinks were great also. The service was great. The servers explained the menu in detail, and also when the meals came out, explain what spices and how it was prepared. The ambience top-tier it is what you would say a nice bougie restaurant. The lighting especially set the mood. All in all, I won't be so much in a hurry to run back or probably even recommend but it was a subpar experience
google avatar

Yelp
My boyfriend wanted to take me here for my birthday and the experience did not disappoint. The second the valet took our car they were already wishing me a happy birthday and opening my doors. When you walk in there's a check in stand and they get you seated right away. When you walk in you instantly see the beautiful wavy ceiling that is so gorgeous. The ambiance and lighting is just perfect! Pablo and Emerson took care of us and they were amazing, super friendly, knowledgeable, and had the best customer service ever. They start you off with a hot towel to wash hands before getting into your meal. You order all your food and once and they bring the food out in several waves allowing you to try as much as you want without being overwhelmed. I tried new things which was very exciting. Oysters not my thing, but everything was delicious. I can see that they would be well on their way to Michelin star!

Yelp
I went to this restaurant for a friend's birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Everything from the service to the food was immaculate. The food was very fresh and well seasoned. We got an assortment of menu items and nothing disappointed. I got the sea bass and it was flavorful and well cooked. I would say that the mushroom rice was my favorite of all the sides. The restaurant was beautiful and well decorated. I will definitely return in the future.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing place. We had waited a bit to get reservations here and it was so worth it. The ambiance alone was so amazing. Tyler our waiter was very good and part of the experience. Don't even know where to start with the food. We loved everything. So flavorful and creative. I would recommend this place to anyone and we will be back for sure.

Yelp
Chef Jason, Manager Lindsay, and Server Haley created one of the most unforgettable dining experiences. The attention to detail was impeccable. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor without being overpowering. Complex, yet beautifully balanced in its simplicity. From the octopus and lamb chops to the hamachi crudo and salmon maki, every bite was a masterpiece. Calling it a 5/5 doesn't do it justice. Nami is a foodie's dream come true. +++ Chef Jason explained his dishes and interacted with each guest for minutes at a time. Truly a Chef that delights in his work!!!

Yelp
We went here for date night and tried their pre fix menu. It was so pretty and an intimate setting with the dark lighting. The food was excellent! Everything we tried was an experience and the flavors were great. Our server was so kind and explain everything we had. She was very Knowledgeable about pretty much any question we had about the food. It was such a great time we will definitely come back here!

Yelp
Nami - Lake Nona - Magical Dining with a few of our favorite foodie friends! Absolutely phenomenal and by far the best restaurant in Lake Nona and one of the best in all of Orlando. Located in the Wave Hotel with its own separate complimentary Valet parking. Or, you can park in the main garage which is also close. It is super swanky, VERY dark, sexy and reminds me of several places I have been to in Vegas. There is a strict dress code and if you deviate, your reservation will be cancelled. FYI - the menu on the MD website was different than what was presented but I have the photo added. I didn't realize that until I ordered and had to pivot a bit as we had planned ahead based on the online menu. Canapé pre-game: The tofu dip was insane. I could eat that every single day with those delicious light sesame crackers. Appetizers: We had the tuna tataki and the chicken nuggets off magical and also tried the tuna pizza (good but tiny), tuna maki (!!!), hamachi crudo (!!!), lobster 'donut' and a few other items with the group. All were exceptional. The donut was good but super small so I'd likely not get that again. The nuggets were super delicious chicken nuggets with amazing sauce and a hefty portion. Main Dishes: We tried all of the dishes - salmon, pork katsu and lamb chops. The salmon (according to my husband as I am allergic) and the lamb chops took the awards. Both said they were the best they ever had. The lamb had zero gaminess. The pork katsu was good but I wouldn't spend the money on that normally. I also didn't love the sauce and used the chicken nuggets sauce instead. There was a huge portion but they didn't have 'to go' sauce containers or a small cole slaw container so that ended up wasted which was a shame and a bit odd. The cole slaw was quite good too. It's definitely the best value for the lamb vs the other 2 options. Dessert: We tried the panna cotta at a recent event, so we opted for the chocolate and the cake. Both yummy and we would order again. Drinks: We tried 4 different wines paired nicely with our main courses and desserts. Their wines are quite expensive and the pours seemed to be 4oz. One of the pairings was $35 and we had no idea until we got the bill. We also had 2 of the cocktails which were delightful. The lychee was incredible. The server did a stellar job of describing the cocktails. The service is impeccable. The servers are excellent. They were new to Magical Dining and the bill was confusing but it was explained and ironed out. This should not be an issue going forward. The only other slight issue we had was we were not told there was a time limit on the table (I think 2 hours) so they had to tell us to leave. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time or better, when we arrived. Tips: *Hit the lobby bar and get the 'Last Word' martini and stay a while. It's a secret drink that used to be on the menu. Incredible. *Walk the grounds and get photos with the beautiful sculptures in the garden in the back.

Yelp
This was one of the most amazing dining spots we've tried ever. The ambience was beautiful and calming, the service was professional and highly attentive, and the food was unique and wonderfully delectable. We went as part of the Magical Dining experience. Honestly I was very apprehensive that any of the Magical Dining experiences over $40 would be worth it -- Nami was one of these to be listed as $60 per person. Personally, I went into this restaurant expecting to order off the regular menu thinking I was going to 'get my value' and order below the $60 so that this place would be worth my while. However, after seeing that the seared tuna and the lamb were 2 offerings that could be had together as part of Magical Dining, I slowly eased up on my hard stance, and reluctantly agreed to doing the $60 Magical Dining. Thank. Goodness. I. Did. The Sesame Tofu Dip was exquisite. In technical terms: the 'crunchies' were awesome! I loaded each crunchy I could get my hands on, with a small dab of the dip and it was perfect... light, but wonderful on the palate as each bite was a perfect balance: delicate tofu texture from the crunchy, paired up with some flavorful yumminess from the dip. As part of Magical Dining, diners here are treated to 2 entrees vs the normal '1 only', and it should be noted here that our Nami server told us we could add additional items from the menu at cost, if we wanted to add anything to our Magical Dining experience. I had heard lots of praise on this restaurant's oysters... although it may sound steep at $6 per oyster x 4 oysters per order, I will put it out there that the spice and lemon on each of my oysters was well worth the $24 for this 1 additional menu item... I have never tasted something like this before. It was like a carbonated chili that fizzled on my taste buds, but the ingredients weren't bubbling... it was different, and borderline addictive. The 4 oysters were served on ice, with a light illuminating the ice from underneath. The presentation was fantastic (as was the spectacular presentation from the earlier appetizer dip). Speaking of presentations, we also tried the Nami nuggets. These were lightly breaded nuggets of some high-grade chicken, and it was packaged up under this chicken-shaped serving cover. Slightly difficult to describe, but my photos in this review will hopefully illustrate this better than what I'm describing. The dish itself served up probably the best tasting chicken nuggets I've ever tried! I also tried the tuna crudo, which was this perfectly-seared tuna with a sesame-seed crusting, highlighted with this sweet sauce. The slight saltiness from the tuna against the slight sweetness of that sauce was poetry on a small plate. For 'Wave 2' (our 2nd entree) I tried the lamb chops, my wife had the salmon, and our friends had the pork Katsu. My lamb was probably one of the best flavored lamb chops I've ever had, and they tasted like this charbroiled symphony of meat on my plate... not too 'lamby', just a wonderful flavor embedded within the lamb, accentuated by the grilling. My wife's salmon was magical: the salmon skin was perfectly crunchy, and the salmon itself was also flavored perfectly. For my friends who had the Katsu: every one of them had to pack about half their Katsu in a to-go container. The portions on the Katsu were large, and again the lightly-breaded Katsu was done with very little oil / grease involved, and so it was yet another perfect menu item. For dessert: my Panna Cotta Merengue was sweet, and the lychees were very well selected as these paired extremely nicely with the strawberries and merengue flavors... each flavor was pronounced, and no flavors lost in vain. I found out afterward that this dessert was served with rose petals sprinkled on top! I ate rose petals, and it was awesome!! My wife's chocolate fondant offered up this warm chocolate served beside this green matcha, and it was like the whole dessert just melted in my mouth in beautiful abandon. This week happens to contain my birthday, and the restaurant brought out this lovely ice cream treat with a lit candle, adorned with an edible birthday greeting print. This was one of the most memorable food experiences I can recall ever having, and was one of the few times I actually confirmed during and immediately afterward that 'the meal was well worth it.' Also, I've never heard as many audible 'wow's' at the table whenever a new dinner item was served. Perfect dinner experience. This will be one of the Yelp occasions in which I would offer up that this experience exceeded the rating scale max... one of the best dining moments I've ever had.

Yelp
You know when you have a picture in your mind of how things are going to play out... and then it doesn't go as such? That's what happened to me. I opted to celebrate my birthday on a quiet Wednesday night which I never do. I expected so much more from this place especially since all of my friends have been ranting and raving about it. Small party of three and I'm not sure what happened. Pro: First off the place is gorgeous! The decor is stunning and the location is hidden on the backside of the wave hotel. Valet service was sweet and very attentive. The waiter was pleasant and tried to make sure we had a good time Dessert shines here Cons: Much to my disappointment all of the food that was meant to come out hot came out cold or barely warm. I'm a huge stickler for this. With the exception of the mashed potatoes and sea bass, the rest of the meal (the ribeye, lamb chops, bbq eel) came out cold. It was very unsettling and definitely messed up the vibe for the night. Overall: I'm not running back by any means but I do appreciate that they did try to make it right. They offered to refire / remake the cold entrees which we did opt to do for some of the items. I'm willing to try again in the future but hoping the impression doesn't keep me from doing so.

Yelp
Ambience and food are top tier! The service was impeccable. Each dish is perfectly portioned. The lobster donuts are to die for!! You must also get dessert! The sommelier is very knowledgeable. We had a bottle of Realm and it was perfect with the dishes!

Yelp
My wife and I had kept hearing wonderful things about Nami, so we finally decided to make the drive over for date night. Let me start by saying, it was well worth it! From the moment we entered, we were greeted by such warm hostesses, and our server was amazing all night. But obviously, the star of the show was the food! Nami is an upscale Asian tapas spot, so we got lots of small plates to share. Our favorites were the yellow tail (hamachi truffle ponzu), chicken nuggets (nami nuggets), lamb chops, and the golden rocher for dessert. Nami is at the Wave Hotel, I would also recommend grabbing a drink at the lobby bar, they had live music and a very pretty sculpture garden out back. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Counting down the days I go back. We went celebrating my friend's birthday and this was the perfect restaurant for it. The restaurant is beautiful and it's perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. It was a group of us so we had to do a preset menu which we selected before hand. It averaged out to about $100 per person. There was still food leftover for us to take home. Service was 10/10 and food was delicious. I still think about their salmon and cheesy asparagus they're currently on the magical dining list so be sure to check it out!

Yelp
Perfect Date night spot in Lake Nona! My hubby and I came here for the first time for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. Started off with some chips and dip, cucumber salad, wagyu stick and some oysters. Everything was delicious. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass for my main entree which was excellent and my hubby really raved about how good the Crispy Pork Katsu was. For dessert, we shared the Pinna Cotta which was divine, made with meringue, lychee and red berries. The presentation was very romantic and beautiful. Everything was perfection, and the cherry on top was our complimentary anniversary ice cream dessert which was heavenly. We found our new favorite date night spot in Lake Nona. Thank you Nami for a wonderful dining experience!

Went for magical dining and had the best time. top notch service to go with amazing food. Yelp
This place is exquisite from start to finish. The food was amazingly delicious. Each dish was presented so creatively and was so tasty. The service was impeccable. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about each entree and they would time each of the entrees coming out in a way that it wouldn't overwhelm and overcrowd the table and we can eat in peace. We had caviar, oysters, lobster fried rice, sushi and so much more. I highly recommend visiting this place for an. The atmosphere was inviting and dimly lit, sexy and unique. Amazing experience all around

Yelp
Ever had a dinner that you will truly remember for years to come? That's the dining experience that Nami is serving up in its intimate, escape from the world outside spot tucked behind the palm garden at the Wave. Upon entering, you are greeted by the warm, welcoming and thoughtful front of house staff. Whisked into the main dining room, you are transported into a perfectly dimly lit room with a ceiling of "waves" and ode to the Japanese Maple Tree, fit for the restaurant's name and aesthetic. Our server, Katrina, and drinks from the one and only Juan, truly made the celebratory evening all the more exceptional. Their personable service was some of the best tea I have experienced in years, and should be commended. Approaching the menu family style, we ordered several plates from each category. Katrina masterfully spaced and combined the plates to create a 3 stage meal, balanced in flavor, size and content. As the vegetarian at the table, I have never felt more cared for--each stage featured a vegetarian dish or two, allowing me to feel just as much a part of the meal as the rest of the table. The Nami Nuggets, presented in a porcelain chicken, and Bacon dishes got top marks from the rest of the table. The Cucumber salad was bright and refreshing. Beautifully julienned with a spicy pop from the crispy chili on top. The Hamachi was a standout--buttery, melt in your mouth texture with welcome acidity and touch of sweet from the ponzu. The Beetroot Maki was one of my favorites of the night. The perfect little bite, combining classic maki flavors with a pickled, brighter and crunchier beet element, beautifully plated "flower style" atop. For the meat mains, the Chilean Sea Bass and Crispy Pork Katsu were devoured with delight. As for the vegetable sides, this is where Nami really shined for me. The Eggplant--no words. This was my second time enjoying it and it left me just as speechless. Tender, rich Japanese eggplant is enveloped in addicting umami peanut sauce with bright cilantro and crunchy pop of crushed peanuts. The Cauliflower, roasted to perfection, was a close second. The curry sauce is similarly hard not to lick from the plate, and measured in its application so as not to drown the tender morsels. The Mushroom Donabe, while lauded, was actually my least favorite of the three. The mushrooms were delicious, but I found the proportion of rice to be a bit heavy. At the end of the night, we were treated to a wonderful surprise dessert line up to celebrate the table's two birthdays and upcoming wedding! Raspberry sorbet with chocolate cookie crumble kept us coming back for more, while the Golden Rocher left us speechless in its execution. The iconic dessert bite taken to a new level! Nami, thank you again for a truly extraordinary meal. We will certainly be back!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with "wavy and wow" aesthetics! The restaurant is located in the wave hotel around the backside. If you are entering through the hotel, just exit through the back doors and make a right. They do have their own valet, I am not sure if there is a cost or not because it is not listed, but The valet is very nice. I suppose they see you coming in, and they open the door for you at the restaurant! Very nice touch. We entered, and the restaurant was pretty intimate, very aesthetically pleasing, dark, and had a very cool vibe. I love how they had a little Ottomans next to each table so you could place your purse on it. Our server took a while to come to our table, but she was very sweet. She was extremely well versed on the menu. We ordered the lobster donuts, which were phenomenal! They were so tiny, though, I wish there were one more. We also got the cucumber salad, the salmon, the mushrooms and the corn. Everything was delicious, but the salmon didn't really have much taste. I can't believe I paid for a roll of cucumber lol! Overall, the vibe was really nice and the food was decent, the portions were very small, so if you are super hungry, make sure you order a lot more. I also ordered the Rocher for dessert and , I thought it was going to be blown away, but it was OK. It's definitely giving, "we want to have a fancy vibe" and very cool for a date night. Definitely check it out, I think they are more known for the Hamachi and raw items. They kept the flow going for the food so you are literally in and out if you want to be. Check it out, it's a unique place to go to with your friends, or even a date night!

Yelp
Wow wow wow !! First of all, the restaurant is GORGEOUS! It was a surprisingly small space making it quite intimate. The menu is designed to be shared plates and I'm so glad we went with another couple to try a lot of the dishes. Stand outs : the Nami Nuggets were some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had? lol the pork katsu was perfectly crispy with very unique yummy sauces served with it. The Rib eye paired with the mushroom rice was also 10/10 I didn't want to get any maki here as it didn't seem like a place to get sushi when the menu is so extensive but the spicy hamachi was devine and I'm glad I tried it. The sauces on the crudos were also great. They provide complimentary valet, bar seating, and Edgar our waiter was so helpful about the menu and customizations. I have to say this is one of my new favorite restaurants in Orlando I will be back soon!!

Yelp
I celebrated my 31st birthday this occasion. Beautiful atmosphere- there's an art installation outside with lights and botanical garden. I felt like I was walking through a wonderland. Nami's interior transports you instantly into a modern Japanese culinary experience. Really intimate details and artistry were applied to each dish. The service was outstanding. I felt like it was all hands on deck- one server that took our order was so personable and knowledgeable about the ingredients. He gave great spot-on recommendations. The manager checked in on us and the server delivering the food didn't skip a beat. Amazing team effort! We started with a gift from the kitchen- a sesame dip with crisp. It was mouth watering and the crisps were so airy and melt in the mouth. The bacon was great- smoky, juicy and sweet. I enjoyed the lobster donuts- fresh lobster salad with the added sweetness of the airy light crunch of the donuts. The Spicy Hamachi had so many different textures. I wish it came with a sauce though. Nami salad- left a lot to be desired, but to be fair the server recommended the cucumbers. We should have ordered that. The Chilean sea bass was the highlight of the meal for me. It was so tender and flaky and also flavorful. This was the best first experience with the fish. My bf ordered the Pork Katsu. He enjoyed it but absolutely LOVED the Mushroom Donabe. He is so picky about the textures of rice and he loved this one. It was so flavorful and the mushrooms had great texture too. We were so full we weren't able to try the dessert menu. We capped the night with a Jasmine Pearl tea. Amazing! We will definitely be back

Yelp
Absolutely decadent. It was our first time here celebrating, and it did not disappoint. Our server, Bryanna, was amazing she explained everything perfectly and was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. The soft ambient lighting set the perfect mood for our date night celebration. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind, from the servers to those delivering the food, and we even had a lovely conversation with the young lady who cleared our table. We'll definitely be back might try the chef's counter or the regular dining room next time to explore more of the menu. Not pictured, the Midori Sour I drank it was superb.

Yelp
Last night was an 8:44pm late arrival at the luxurious Nami at the Wave Hotel. It began with a ron de vu smooth night stroll from the front of the hotel to the back. We met the late night breeze navy sky as we stepped our way into details of modern arectectural allure inside. As I spoke to the hostess, whispers housed exclusivity and Michelin level touches. A light chat began, as again, I was regrettably around half an hour late, and by the show of it, I was not certain they could accommodate. A party of two, secretly prepared to sit at the bar for just a taste on their 8th anniversary. Only minutes later, another late arrival had come up. An arigato moment met my eyes and a cheeky smile made its way from my face to hers. Knowingly as it presents, this hotspot houses a sensual highly elevated sophisticated experience from the decor art in the ceiling to the scarlet apple trees spouting out near the omakase bar - for me - its sex in the city meets 50 shades of ambiance and style. To go with it, in the background played a underground house/club beat sounding for a sexier vibe I was there for. Serious next level service, Chris our servicer, smoothly played us through their modern cuisine with this beautiful descriptive detail that matched every dish so eloquently - a million dollar word experience. He started us with the curated hummus paired with an elegant light chip. Drinks were offered too and I requested something similar to a cosmo. He confidently guided me to the Blush, a sweet grapefruit note carried which made for a grand drink to pair with the dishes. Nicely alone we were then left by him for thoughts to ponder and prepare for what would hit our senses next. Deep contemplation left me delicately choosing the lamb chops and spicy hamachi - crispy ginger. I describe it as a chefs curation that leave sexy smooth palates of flavor profiles that hit the jackpot. On every angle, the lamb chops green miso flavors tasted exquisite. The side of potato salad filled in for a more filling plate. The hamachi roll of three played pleasantly well with the other dishes and carried a lightly satisfying fill. The tuna roll was nicely similar to that of the hamachi which brought back the quick taste bliss to flow throughout. Thoughts of one or two more could be added for a happier buyer showcase. We ended our night with the rocher dessert, a top recommendation given and respectively so, delicate layers of of dessert toppings leave the full circle taste experience, you'll miss if not. Nami, left my senses highly highjacked with grand found respect for the discovery of culinary inspiration. 5 big sexy stars!
