If you dine here, you MUST do the actual chef’s tables in the back of the house! It’s worth every penny! First, you’ll feel nostalgic as you go back in time on the way to your table, walking through the original reception area for the Edgewater Inn from 1927. Then sit back and enjoy being catered to, table side, as you choose from a special menu that changes every 6 weeks per chef’s choosing. Mocktails are also amazing…. Try the hibiscus and lavender one!! We had elk and 12hr braised beef rib that was mouth watering! Definitely an experience to try at least once

This place was such an incredible find! Never expected this level of food in old winter garden. Best meal I've had in a long time! The mushroom chive roulade was impeccable and the pork ribeye was the best piece of pork I've ever had. Will be going back again and again! Do yourself a favor and plan a date night here!

Always a great place for dinner. The menu changes every few months and always has me wanting to come back for a delicious surprise. The duck liver and steak are amazing (but everything is amazing there). The service is very friendly and you get to talk to the chef. The place could be designed nicer but it is a very casual “nice restaurant”.

It was my second time here the first many years ago and this time when a friend had a party there. The food was amazing and the staff treated us like royalty. Sad that this is their last year for this kind of dining experience. Kudos to them! Thank you for a great experience.

The Chefs Table in downtown Winter Garden easily has some of the best food in the state of Florida. The Beef tartare was fantastic and had the perfect balance with cornishones and spices. The fish, wish was Alaskan Cod was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The pork ribeye was probably the best piece of pork I've ever had! The level of service from the waitstaff was amazing. The amount of knowledge they have about food and wine is top notch. If you truly want a memorable evening make sure you get the wine pairings! Thank you to the Chefs Table team for a fantastic evening. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing experience with the magical dining with an added cheese board. Mushroom roulade, duck, and pork ribeye were stars. Will definitely be going back once the menu changes!

What a gem!! We such had a lovely night at the tasting room. The Filet was delicious and the Pork Ribeye was fantastic! We sat outdoor and enjoyed the live music and nice weather. The staff were all so nice and attentive. We can’t wait to come back!

I came here for my friend's birthday dinner and Ryan was my server and he was great explaining the menu and the food and service is awesome! It's a 3 course meal so you choose appetizer, entree and dessert!

Came for a date night and it happened to be the night of the Annual Christmas Parade, which explained why we were able to get a reservation at peak hours but also that we missed the actual parade--we had plenty of time to enjoy the festivities and decor before and after, though! The place was pretty empty when we were first seated but started filling up quickly once the parade was over. We sat in the tasting room, not the prix fixe experience which seemed to happen in a separate room in the back. The ambience was cozy with the wood paneled walls and holiday decor. My partner picked this place specifically for their mini beef Wellington trio as we had missed out in the chance to try beef Wellington at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant on a recent trip. Do note that the menu is seasonal so the options will rotate. In addition to the beef trio we ordered the chef's collards, mushroom remoulade, and pear glazed elk chops. The dishes, while initially tasty, became overbearingly salty after getting through a couple bites, none more than the Wellington trio. The sauce on the elk chops was probably my favorite thing because it had the sweetness from the pear in addition to the salty. I'm sad to report that the Wellington bites was probably the most disappointing dish, which in addition to lacking dimension of flavor, was too well-done, the beef on the tough side. For some reason the red wine sauce didn't do a lot to add depth--really was just salty. Alas, I will just have to await Gordon's magic after all. I did also order a drink but it took so long to come that I basically had it as my dessert entree after dinner. Overall, I think it is fine as a "hotel restaurant" but priced a little too high for the quality of the food.

On my birthday I had a reservation and the restaurant is located on the iconic Wintergarden downtown strip. The establishment is inside of a 1920s hotel and somewhat gives the vibe of a speakeasy. Once entering, you'll see the more casual portion of the interior but the hostess guided us to a back room within the hotel. Lots of stained glass and colonial furniture, refreshing to see in a world of modernism dystopia. The seating arrangements in the back were more intimate but still had the classic feel to it. Our waiters gave us a run down of the menu which was prefixed with 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 3 desserts to choose from. I picked the Foie Gras with the blueberry compote as my first course. The presentation was impeccable, almost looked like a painting and well arranged. The taste resembled somewhat of a savory blueberry toast. My partner received the scallops with butternut squash purée and it was the perfect ratio of flavors. My entree was the Mahi Mahi with Bok Choy, it had slight lemony tinge to it but the fish was cooked flawlessly. My boyfriend got them Ribeye which fell off the bone, extremely tender and probably the largest portion on the menu. For desert, I selected the New York cheesecake, the execution of the dish was immaculate but I prefer my comrades instead. He ordered the Dark Chocolate Crème Brûlée and it tasted uncannily like a brownie. I chose an alcoholic drink as well and it was strong. Unlike South Florida fine dining (I'm from Broward), I was pleasantly surprised that I left Chef's Table full. All the dishes were a exquisite culmination of flavors. Worth every penny and it wasn't that pricey for 2 people. Should be Michelin starred for sure.

This time we went for magical dining. It was not a magical experience. The mushroom ravioli appetizer was overpowered by the cheese, and was not nearly as good as the previous version. We both had the fish with beet risotto. The fish was not flavorful and the risotto was not tasty either. That dessert was a chocolate crème brûlée, which was a dark chocolate pudding with caramelized sugar. The whip cream was the best part.

I didn't know you had to book in advance for the chefs table- special reservation. We just had a regular reservation I suppose. So we sat outside because inside was very chilly. Service was great. There was another group that was causing a problem in the restaurant so our orders got ignored. So we sat with our fries for a long time and entrees took forever. The chef came out to apologize. In the end, they comped our steak. I would definitely go back here again. I want to do the actual chefs table. The menu otherwise looks awesome. So many things I would eat. Bring a jacket. It's chilly inside. Parking is along the street and it's plentiful. It's right next to a cute hotel. In fact, the bathroom is through the hotel.

We used to love this place until we went on 10/12, our beef Wellington came so quickly that we were intrigued as it usually takes a long time since it's fresh, from the first bite it was cold and tasted reheated and a little burnt on the top. The brunch menu seemed nice but the French toast had what looked like canned fruit on top. Not the quality we expected and my husband's burger that he ordered well done was raw. Not the quality we expected as we've been several times and always loved it. It will be a long time until we try again if we do.

I can't believe I've never written a review. My husband and I have been coming here since 2013 for their creative seasonal dishes. The Chef's Table only has a set tasting menu of 3 options to choose from for starters, entre, and a desert. Portion sizes are just right, presentation is picture perfect, and the flavor of the food is exceptional. You also have the option to choose a wine pairing of three wines picked by the chef to pair with each portion of the meal. I highly recommend it. The service is top notch, and you can expect to receive 5 start treatment. The restaurant's small intimate setting in the kitchen area makes this experience great for special occasions.

I visited the Chef's Table this past weekend in Celebration of my wife's birthday. We did the Chef's Table 3 course dinner with wine pairing. Let's start with the cheese plate. This was not included but sounded too good to pass up. Double creamed Brie, manchego with guava, Gouda and honey... and a few others. Served with small crostinis, it was absolutely delicious and quite filling. Fresh baked dinner rolls with butter were provided, and fresh and steaming hot they were. The first course was the mushroom and chive crepe tort... DELICIOUS. My wife hates mushrooms but stepped outside her comfort zone based on the description and absolutely loved it. It was a paired with Montpellier Pinot Noir. I drink a lot of burgundy so I knew this was a common pairing, but the wine itself was ok at best yet still good enough to balance the richness of the torte. Course two was a rack of lamb with a polenta cake and eggplant purée. It was paired with the St. Cosme Rhône Villages. I actually love this wine and drink it quite often as it's pretty affordable when I don't want to buy a Chataneuf du Pape. The lamb however was undercooked. I asked for medium rare and it was definitely on the rare side. I was already getting full so I didn't send it back. But I was a bit disappointed with the temperature. I powered through and enjoyed the polenta cake. My wife asked for medium and got more of a medium rare as well.... Solid pairing aside from the lamb. Course three was a deconstructed lemon cheesecake. It was good. Nothing special, but good. The pairing however was exquisite ... a late harvest torrontes. Great pairing. Our server was great, enthusiastic, and clearly studied the pairings carefully.... as he was able to describe the flavor profiles of the wines and their interaction with the food before serving. The ambience was great, nice, and quiet. I'm glad we made an early reservation as it started to fill up when we were leaving. We will be back. If not for the lamb it would have been a 5 star review.

Food: Starting on July 1st, guests can take advantage of their Tasting Room Date Night Experience at $75 per couple, which is basically a three-course prix fixe dinner with optional wine pairings. - First course: the Pan Seared Scallops (2 large ones) had a perfect golden-brown crust and were paired with a watercress salad, which I love and think goes very well with buttery seafood. 5 stars. - Second course: I was initially told that the Fish of The Day was swordfish, which I wasn't very thrilled about, but ordered anyway. I was pleasantly surprised when the waiter told me that they ran out of swordfish and asked me if I would be okay with halibut. I agreed right away since halibut is one of my favorite types of white fish. The halibut's texture was good but the fish itself could have been seasoned better, so I added salt and pepper to it, which worked. Fish was accompanied by risotto and blackeyed beans. While the risotto was creamy (though not heavy) and tasty, I would never pair fish with blackeyed beans and, indeed, was not a fan of the combination. 3 stars. - Third course: I don't usually pick creme brulee when given different options for dessert, but the fact that this one was a Coconut Creme Brulee made me curious. And it did not disappoint: the coconut flavor made it a very unique desert indeed. Since the creme brulee on its own is quite fatty, I'm of the opinion that the generous portion of whipped cream on top could have been left out of the plate. 5 stars. Service: our waiter was fabulous! From offering to sample red and white wine and making suggestions to describing each course on the menu in more detail, he was able to leave a lasting impression with his emotional intelligence, knowledge of the business/menu, and sense of humor. The young lady serving bread was also very friendly and made sure we had warm bread the entire night. Ambiance: The restaurant is on the first floor of The Historic Edgewater Hotel, which, according to its website, opened in 1927 and "has undergone a historic restoration to provide guests with as much of the original 1927 ambiance as possible". Its facade hints at the elegance awaiting inside. As I stepped into this restaurant, I was immediately transported back in time to the grandeur of an earlier era. The restaurant has separate smaller rooms which makes it even more unique. We passed by the hotel's reception to access our table, which was located in a small room in the back, with only 3 tables total, and right next to the kitchen. There were no walls or doors between the room and the kitchen so I was able to see from very close all the kitchen activity. While I would usually mind seating that close to the kitchen (looking at how food is made in a restaurant would usually be a mood killer for me), I actually enjoyed watching the organized chaos this time.

We've heard many great things about this place, so we decided to try it and celebrate our anniversary. It's located in the back of the tasting room, which I've eaten at several times and highly recommend. They offer a chef's table selection menu. You have about three choices from each course. We loved everything we had, and it was an elevated food experience worthy of 5-stars. We started with a Mushroom torte and some ravioli, followed by the duck and the most delicious pork ribeye I've ever had! Unfortunately, the gnocchi it came with was slightly burnt, but since everything else was fantastic, I'll consider this an oversight. We finished with crème brûlée and bread pudding for dessert. You can also opt for the wine pairing, but we just got a bottle of wine to share. Our server was down to earth, not pushy about anything, and the environment was very relaxed and pleasant. Where we sat, I could watch the kitchen staff preparing the meals. I'm glad we chose to celebrate our anniversary there. It was a perfect place for our special night!

Food here is special. Uniquely crafted. Chef pays attention to detail. Service is wonderful. It's a quaint dining room, quiet, soft music so you can actually talk to your company. There's no place like it.

Came here this past weekend for an early valentines dinner and tried the prearranged 3 course meal. The food was good as usual. For the 3 course meal for two (appetizer, entree and dessert) with two cocktails came out to be around $275. The service was great and our waiter was very attentive. Highly recommend the mushroom torte and the pork chop pictured. Thought the preselected menu was a bit pricer than I expected, but will still come back and continue to order off the regular menu

Absolutely amazing experience and I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. Food, service, atmosphere! Perfect! We had the best time here and I would say this may have been the best meal I have had all year. We dined for a birthday celebration and the sever Ryan did well to make sure we felt celebrated and special. He knew literally everything to a T about the menu and the food. We opted for the wine pairing and the cheese plate, the cheese was delicious. The wine pairs were wonderful. Overall I will return and recommend this restaurant to anyone with a special occasion or just to have a nice meal!

Shrimp and grits were amazing. Duck fat fries with smoked aioli could be the best French fries I've ever had. Service was great. Wonderful experience!

We visited chef's table on a Friday night. We had an 8:30 reservation, but our table was ready as soon as 7! We arrived around 7:45 and the host immediately sat us. The seating area is through the lobby of the Edgewater in an intimate dining room with just a few tables. It's dim, but not too dark to read. Definitely a great date spot! Our server gave us a very in depth run down of the menu complete with his recommendations and took our drink order. I started with a twist of fate's reflection, which was light and refreshing. For food, I got the mushroom torte, the rack of lamb, and the chocolate torte. The mushroom crepe torte was excellent. The melted Gruyère on top with the delicate crepes and the flavorful mushrooms was a combination made in heaven. I was thrilled with my choice. Next, I had the rack of lamb. I grew up eating lamb, so I have pretty high standards. The lamb was cooked to absolute perfection (I requested medium rare and medium rare it was!). The seasoning and sauce leaned a little bit sweet for my taste, but it was still delicious. I found the romesco sauce very good as well. For dessert, I was really torn between the creme brûlée and the chocolate torte. I'm not much of a chocolate person, but I go crazy for popcorn, so I went with the torte. It was life changing! I absolutely loved the chocolate torte portion with the flakes of sea salt. The ice cream was unique and I would buy an entire pint of it if I could, and eat it every night with a drizzle of caramel and some caramel popcorn. The ice cream tasted exactly like buttered popcorn and it was delightful. Overall, I would absolutely return to chef's table. I'm eager to try their other dishes and see what else their excellent chef comes up with!

Loved it!!!! We went for dinner and they got a set menu. Not sure if that is how the operate or just for that evening, but it was on a Tuesday night so I guess that is it. THe options were great. We all went for the octupus as a first course. It was divine. Large portion when compared to other restaurants. Octopus was nice and soft. For main course, 2 of us went for the Duck breast - it was placed over a really good lightly spicy curry sauce - who knew duck and curry went so well. Another entry ordered was the fish which was delicious as well. For desert, we ordered all the 3 options. I had the banana breadpudding and did not dissapoint. I can't wait to return but will check in advance the menu - don't want to repeat. Highly recommend. The server was also fantastic. I wish I can remember his name.

After our friends telling us we must try Chef's Table, my husband and I finally made reservations for our anniversary. We got married in December so we benefited from their holiday menu. What a perfectly intimate setting and outstanding service! I had the mushroom crepe, pork ribeye, and white chocolate bread pudding. My husband had the ravioli, delmonico, and the pistachio cake. We each ended the evening with espresso martinis. My pork ribeye was so tender. I am not a huge fan of pork but I was told it's a celebrated constant on the menu. I can't recommend it enough. It came with a sauce similar to apple butter that complimented it perfectly. My mushroom crepe was also outstanding. I probably could have eaten the entire tray of it -- just wow! Finally, my espresso martini was the perfect send off after all the delicious food we ate. My husband RAVED about the delmonico and said he wants to come back next anniversary to have it again. He said he would also order my ribeye when the delmonico was not an option. He said his ravioli was incredible and would absolutely order them again. It was such a pleasure and treat to celebrate our marriage with delightful food and service. We would highly recommend the journey for those who live in central Florida!

Lovely atmosphere in a historic building, and plenty of delicious and unique menu choices on their 3-course chef's tasting! All of the first course options we tried were great, from perfectly seared foie gras with lavender berry compote and toasted brioche, to the deliciously savory cheesy mushroom crepes. The fish of the day was flaky and tender with incredible sauces. The duck was cooked beautifully, but the accompaniments were a miss for me; something sweet would have been a better accompaniment than spicy sauces. The creme brulee was spectacular, and tasted just like fruity pebbles! The bread pudding was underwhelming; no real strawberry taste, dense without much sauce, and would have been better with the contrast of cold ice cream. The cocktails were great though; my pistachio martini was sweet and nutty and hard to not order two of, and there was also a delicious cocktail that reminded me of Mexican hot chocolate. Will be back!

The Chef's Table in Winter Garden village is absolutely a classic. They have put together a nice selection from their menu and call it the date night experience. Several shareables are served up and come out as the kitchen prepares them. This is perfect for two people to share. I specifically enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The truffle fries (which many people love) were a bit too overpowering for my pallet. I've come to realize I'm not a truffle fan. I do recommend the date night option however as it is a great way to get a taste of what this special restaurant has to offer. The service I might mention was impeccable.

Had our son's Graduation party here in private room in back. Family style personalized to our likes. It was epic & we also love Sunday brunch. A true Gem in Winter Garden / you gotta check out Chef's table!

I have the pleasure of dining at Chef's table frequently and I must say, is always an exceptional culinary experience from start to finish.

Chef's table is an absolute treasure. I have been a couple times and have always enjoyed it. The cheese board brought a fantastic array of flavors. From accompaniments, to bread service, to mains, etc. I never felt like I was missing anything from the experience by being gluten- free. I had a delicious elk tenderloin (my first elk experience) and it reminded me of an extremely rich filet mignon. I had a perfect made in-house mango sorbet with fresh fruit for dessert. I highly recommend the wine pairing as the wines are very well chosen and bring out the very best in each course. Service and ambiance were wonderful, genuine and heart-warming as always. Cannot wait for my next visit!

I would not hesitate to return here in a heartbeat. Service was spot on, ambiance was romantic and perfect for a date night, and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I opted for the wine pairing with each course. Definitely do this! It included a full glass of wine with each course, and for $30 it was a total steal. The wine paired perfectly with the food, and I was shocked at how much we got. Food is amazing. So much care goes into each dish. And since the menu changes seasonally, I can't wait to go back and try something new next time.

This is the place to go when you are looking for a romantic date night. It is sure to impress, from the knowledgeable staff, and waiters. Our waiter is a sommelier, trained in France, and he knows exactly what to suggest for pairing your wines with any dish. Their prix fix menu has something for anyone to enjoy, from salad, shrimp and mushroom appetizers to pork, fish and different cuts of steak (the steak has an up charge) for your main entrees. For an extra $30 you can have wine pairings with every course. The ambiance is very romantic, but at the same time great for any occasion. My husband and I like to try different restaurants and this one is for sure one that we will return to!

My partner and I made a reservation to eat here on New Year's Eve for their prefixed menu. The courses in the food were absolutely amazing. I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves. The old Edgewater hotel has a really old timey feel and you can see the old switchboard as you walk past the hotel front desk. Really neat place. Really great food.

After searching for the perfect restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary we decided on Chef's Table and we certainly were not disappointed. Our table alone felt so romantic in an intimate dimly lit room. Our waiter Steve was so delightful, he made our experience feel special and allowed us to really take our time and enjoy every moment of our dinner. Starting with the cocktails I ordered a Relapse which tasted like a Mai Tai and was presented in a cute tiki glass. My husband ordered the Spicy Pineapple and I've never seen him enjoy a drink so much! Once the food started coming out we were even more impressed. It was such a delicious meal, I would recommend the prix fixe menu to anyone looking for a special dinner out!

Oh My Gosh!! The service & food exceeds expectation! Such an excellent experience. I had the mushroom torte, elk chops and blood orange crème brûlée Chef's Tasting. Tried the pork, filet and bread pudding- all great. So impressed. Looking forward to the next time.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Chef's Table last night, and all I can say is it was incredible! We really enjoyed the intimate setting of the Chef's Table. It felt exclusive, and the service did not disappoint. I was super excited to try their cocktails because I've heard amazing things. I settled on the Spicy Pineapple and it was SO good!!! Beware: when they say it's hot, it's HOT. I'm talking mouth and stomach burning hot. Thankfully I love spice, but if you can't handle spicy things steer clear. For my meal, I had the Mushroom and Chive Crepe Torte, Pork Ribeye and the Double Chocolate crème brûlée. Literally every course was better than the last. The food was excellent and worth every penny.

Great atmosphere for family dining. Amazing food and great customer service. I highly recommend the beef Wellington and duck fries as an appetizer.

Holy freaking wow! This restaurant is just amazing. You have to go, end of story. I'm going to do my best to describe my meal, but it definitely won't do it justice. Also- go hungry, so much food! We were walked into a cozy little corner room. Our waiter arrived and explained the menu to us. He was amazing, so excited about the food and just awesome. We started with the cheese course five different cheeses, each with its own accompaniment. Blue cheese with figs, white cheddar with jam, etc. 10/10 would recommend. Next course was the bread, that was so fresh and warm, I definitely think it deserves to be considered a course. Third was an appetizer. My date ordered the mushroom torte and loved it! I ordered the blt salad (minus the bacon). You can honestly tell how much thought and love goes into each dish. For my entree, I had mentioned in my reservation that I am a vegetarian, and they made me a special vegetarian entree. Side note: most restaurants cop out when it comes to a vegetarian entree, not this place. Homemade raviolis with broccolini on top. Mwah! Lastly was dessert, I ordered the chocolate torte with homemade marshmallow fluff. It was good, but honestly to this point I was to full to eat much of eat. My date ordered the bread pudding and that was incredible as well. 10/10 would recommend. I'm going to start turning everything into an occasion so I can go back here.

The food was amazing and the service staff was very nice, I was waiting for a friend to arrive and they were very accommodating and nice. Food arrived pretty quick and was o-so-savory!

This was an amazing dining experience from start to finish! My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here. Making reservations online was easy. We arrived about a half hour early and I asked if we could have a drink at the bar while we waited, but our table was actually ready so we were able to be seated right away! We were escorted back to the intimate dining area and seated. Our server was Jeff and he was wonderful! He gave us recommendations, answered any questions we had, asked us about likes and dislikes, and knows the menu inside and out. He helped ensure our experience was amazing. We started with cocktails. I ordered the pecan pie cocktail and my boyfriend ordered the Plant Street Hurricane. Both drinks were delicious! The pecan pie is definitely a strong one, but still very good. For appetizers we ordered the Caribbean shrimp and the mushroom and chive crepe torte. The shrimp was so tender with a sweet and spicy style sauce. Very good. The mushroom torte was ridiculously delicious. I could eat that as a main meal and be happy. For entrees, my boyfriend chose the char grilled filet and I opted for the pork ribeye. The filet was probably the best steak either of us have had. It was melt in your mouth tender and perfectly cooked. The pork ribeye was also tender and flavorful and they top the pork ribeye with the best piece of pork belly I've had. The warm potato salad was unique and delicious and they even made it without red onion since I'm not a big fan of onions which was great. At this point we were both full. Jeff boxed up my leftover pork and had our desserts boxed up for us as well. For dessert, we chose the berry bread pudding and dark chocolate creme brûlée. I did take one bite of each from the boxes just to taste them fresh and no surprise, they were delicious. The Chef's Table is definitely a perfect restaurant for any special occasion. We loved the food, the amazing service and hospitality from not only Jeff, but everyone else we encountered including the manager that checked in on us, and the romantic atmosphere. It was worth every penny!

Situated at downtown winter garden, very cute place, very dark! We came here on a sat for lunch and it had plenty of people! The staff is super friendly. I got the BLT, it was pretty good! With a side of fries, which was really tasty too! I would definitely come back and try something else too! The burgers looked good!

Went here for the first time with my partner and just wanted to experience what this restaurant had to offer. So I decided to just order based on the menu and with some assistance from my waiter named Ryan. The service he delivered was AMAZING. He was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and speaks about eloquently as well. He "sells" the food very well. So I decided on the pan seared foie gras, pork ribeye and chocolate cake. The foie gras tasted quite delicious with the win that pared with the meal. FYI their is a specific method on how to consumer this meal, ask your waiter. However the ribeyes wasn't so great to me and I believe it's not the manner it was prepared in, it was my taste buds. Finally the chocolate cake I ate and it was amazing, along with the win that was pared with it. Please prepared yourselves for a pricy dinner but a fun experience and one that I'm sure most don't have quite often. On the contrary my partner ordered her meals and loved it, the meals are listed in the pictures but overall a lovely experience.

Finally tried this place after hearing amazing things about it over the last 2 years. Honestly what kept me away was I had always heard it was "so expensive" but then the other night I walked past and saw the 3-course menu for just under $60 and was like WHAT?! That's not bad at all! So we booked reservations for 4 for my sister's birthday. The restaurant is hidden in the back near the kitchen, hence the name. It's very cozy and intimate. The servers are very well versed on the menu and I could tell are very passionate about the menu items. First we ordered cocktails which were all perfectly crafted. My boyfriend ordered the pecan pie which was super strong but good. I ordered the strawberry fields which was perfectly delicate and delicious. We added on the cheese plate for about $17 which was the perfect size for 4 people. It was great. For appetizers 3 of us did the mushroom and leek crepe. My dad ordered the foie gras which was AMAZING. Seriously so good. Tasted like French toast. The crepe was good too, but I would totally get the foie gras next time. It is a $8 upcharge. For entrees we all went with the filet which was cooked & flavored perfectly. Seriously one of the best steaks I've had in a very long time. The chèvre mashed potatoes were very good too and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. For dessert we did the bread pudding and creme brûlée. Both were good but the bread pudding was much better. I can't wait to go back here! My dad and sister were visiting from Virginia and said this is one of the best restaurants they had been to. I highly recommend!

Popped in to this little jewel for Brunch with the Bae and The Chef's Table did not disappoint! From the time we walked in until the time we left, everything was ah-mazing! The greeters were welcoming and our server, Anthony, was wonderful...(more about him in a sec.) It was hubby's turn to pick the brunch spot, so I had no idea where we were going, BUT I must say, he done good! He even agreed to a photo. LOL The restaurant itself is a bit dark for my liking, but what it lacked in lighting, it made up for it in charm. Plus, I'm a sucker for tucked away places. It wasn't overly crowded inside or outside. We shared the smoked fish dip before our meals arrived! Yummy!!! Hubby had the full portion shrimp and grits and I enjoyed the chicken and waffles...notice I said, "chicken" and waffles not waffles and chicken. The portions were generous and neither of us complained about our meals. Lastly, I can't forget to mention how fast the food came out after we ordered and how accommodating Anthony (our server) was. He made suggestions before we ordered and responded quickly each time we needed something. We will not only recommend The Chef's Table to family and friends, but we'll definitely come again!

The food is ALWAYS amazing! Great service! We at Brunch at the Tasting Room this time. We had: Prime Rib Sandwich Shrimp and grits Tiramusu French toast Crab cake Benedict Andoille Mac and cheese Everything was great. Just don't come for the coffee lol

Very lush - reminds me of a speakeasy inside. Everything we ordered was delicious. I especially enjoyed the fish dish with the celeriac puree.

The Chef's Table at The Edgewater is a fantastic experience perfect for a date night or special occasion. We made a reservation a few days before we went via open table. We received confirmation texts and a text a few minutes before our reservation time alerting us that our table was ready. We were greeted and escorted to our table without a wait. We walked through the tasting room area, past a banquet room, and into The Chef's Table. There is a smaller room with 3 tables and a larger room with 6 tables. We were seated at a table for 2 in the larger room. It was perfect. There is a glass double door where you can see inside the kitchen. Our server greeted us promptly as we looked over the beverage and food menus. He was knowledgeable and engaging. It's a 3 course meal and you choose your appetizer, entree, and dessert from a few options in each category. We decided to add on the wine pairing and are glad we didn't order additional drinks because the wine was more than enough for both of us. You can add on the cheese sampler which we did. It consisted of crostini and 5 different cheeses with accompaniments. It included Gouda, Blue Cheese, Cheddar, candied pecans, dates, and honey. The honey and Gouda was a great combination and something I'd never think to try together. It was delicious and a great way to begin dinner. We opted to do a wine with our cheese tasting and omit the wine that would have been paired with dessert. We both enjoyed all three of the wine pairings. For our appetizers I had the Mediterranean Octopus. It was tender and the tzatziki sauce was delicious. My husband chose the Mushroom and Chive Crepe Torte that he enjoyed as well. I had the fresh fish for my main course. It was pastrami seasoned cod and prepared perfectly. The flavors of the dish were great and I really liked the asparagus and turnips. Yum. My husband had the pork ribeye. It was perfect ~ tender, rich, and flavorful. We chose the Lemon Thyme Creme Brûlée and the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding for desserts. Both were great choices and a perfect way to finish our meal. The entire experience was 2.5 hours and flew by. The service was great and the food was delicious. It was an enjoyable dinner and we're looking forward to trying The Tasting Room menu options sometime in the near future. We couldn't find much about the dress code online so we decided on casual and were glad we did. Be mindful that you're practically sitting in the kitchen and it gets hot while the entrees are cooking.

100 percent recommend. The back room is quaint. Food and wine parings are good. Service good but waiter had 3 tables seated at same time and the menu requires a lot of explaining so was 25 min or so before drink orders taken. Don't be in a hurry but was delicious. Great atmosphere and we loved it.

The service & food was wonderful the waiter definitely knew about all the dishes offered I can honestly say I have never had such a good meal as the one I had there anywhere else & I go out to eat a lot You must try it yourself

Took my daughter here on a daddy-daughter date night. The food was exceptional and full of flavor. The servers were very knowledgeable and the ambiance was great. It wasn't too loud and perfect for couples to enjoy a nice evening.

Gourmet offerings. Excellent! Shrimp and Grits is my favorite. Wine selection is very good Other menu selections I've had in the past are also very good.

Outstanding food!!! We stopped by for brunch after visiting the local Saturday Farmer's market. So glad we did!! We had mimosas, the duck fat fries, and croque monseiur. This isn't your average restaurant. The quality of food, flavors and service are amazing. We will be back!!!
