Where to Eat in Atlanta Now

"Though many may not consider Florida part of the South, I found Breaker Breaker to be a delightful hideaway that channels old Florida–style dive bar charm in the heart of Atlanta; it’s conveniently located on the BeltLine and features a 21+ rooftop bar called Floridaman. The menu focuses on fresh seafood—fried fish platters, gumbo, peel and eat shrimp, po'boys, and more—which makes it an easy pick for casual, year-round comfort food." - Tori Allen

The Atlanta Beltline Has Changed How the City Plays and Eats | Bon Appétit

"Channeling retro Gulf Coast beach diners, Breaker Breaker is a fun indoor-outdoor seafood dive overseen by chef Maximilian Hines where I can indulge in fried gulf fish and shrimp platters with coleslaw and hushpuppies, a dark-copper-roux seafood gumbo, and fish melts with Swiss and pickled chiles; ordering is casual via a counter window for outdoor seating, the interior leans into retro pecan-brown paneling and crème de menthe colors, Sunday afternoons bring the lively “Mel’s Chicken Coop” fried chicken special, and the rooftop bar Floridaman fills up fast." - ByMike Jordan

Where To Make Friends When Atlanta Feels Lonely - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Whether it’s sunny or cloudy, you’ll find folks at the long booths overlooking the Beltline trail, which always gives Breaker Breaker a backyard cookout vibe. While the loungey atmosphere is a plus, the real draw is the seafood. Dig into a spicy, juicy grouper sandwich, so big it spills out of the soft bun, and enjoy it at the counter bar where you can chat with your flip-flop-wearing neighbor or people-watch the constant bustle of the Beltline from a safe distance. For extra kicks, head upstairs to the rooftop bar, Floridaman. It’s a fun, cheery  place to kill a few hours, with a tropical vibe, affordable boxed wine, and delicious Cuban sandwich." - jacinta howard, juli horsford, nina reeder

The Best Places To Eat & Drink On The Beltline - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Ideal for a quick stop with a group, Breaker Breaker in Inman Park features a huge outdoor patio that's almost as enticing as their fried fish basket. The basket comes with thick fries and white fish that's crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. Even when Atlanta’s weather is flaky too, a huge awning equipped with fans stretches across the length of the patio overlooking the Eastside Beltline trail, keeping everything chill. Sip your mango and vodka Mucho Nada while you watch people chase their scooter-riding kids down the trail." - juli horsford, demarco williams, nina reeder, jacinta howard

Best Seafood Restaurants in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Backed by the team behind Grindhouse Killer Burgers, think of Breaker Breaker as an Eastside trail respite, where people roll up for a blackened grouper sandwich or fried fish basket paired with a frozen drink or spritzy cocktail. Chef Maximilian Hines, founder of supper club Stolen Goods, leads the kitchen and carries the coastal theme throughout the menu. Look for everything from Gulf fish ceviche and smoked fish dish to a smoked fish melt and vegan crab cakes. The latter is one of Hines’s signature dishes (a previous iteration was vegan fried calamari). The vegan crab cakes are made with mushrooms, hearts of palm, and a vegan remoulade. Head upstairs for a vibey coastal bar, Floridaman." - Molly Harris
