On the Grid : The Mission

"This place rules. It's the best kind of healthy dining - it tastes so good, you don't even realize how healthy you're eating. This intimate corner restaurant is famous for their breakfasts (served all day) and a quarter of their menu features chino-latino flare which is unexpected and delicious. Affordable too!" - Fifty & Fifty

The Mission Review - East Village - San Diego - The Infatuation

"Maybe you had a big night out at nearby Petco Park, or overdid it at the clubs and lounges in the neighboring Gaslamp Quarter and need a reliable breakfast. This preserved corner building from the 1870s serves morning staples like french toast made with housemade cinnamon bread, plus some of SoCal go-to's, like breakfast burritos and chilaquiles. It also has a full coffee bar with great drip and specialty drinks—order the hammerhead, which combines espresso and drip for a more aggressive jolt. When you’re feeling more like a normal human, head over to . They’re always hosting different events like live music, roller skating, yoga classes, and more." - Ligaya Malones

5 stars! An absolute gem for breakfast lovers who appreciate a Mexican twist! The food was outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The cappuccino was just perfect: rich, smooth, and served with care. The service was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive – you instantly feel at home. The vibe is relaxed and charming, making it the perfect spot to start your day. If you’re looking for a breakfast experience with a unique touch, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
I don’t know if they can’t smell it or it’s just my sensitivity. The inside smelled like old people diapers or sewage. We ended up sitting outside. Other than that, the service was amazing and so was the food. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. The steak breakfast was okay, was mostly a scramble more than actual steak and potatoes.

I loved this place. We stopped by on our way to the border CBX and it was a great experience. Food is delicious, marvelous presentation, and service is so nice, friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was the best... thank you guys.

Looking for a place to eat for brunch?? Look no further. This is a Great brunch spot in North Park to have a quick bite to eat. There’s an open patio for your dog to come join you. I love that there’s breakfast and not breakfast options. My favorite is the loco moco and coffee options. Parking is a bit hard to find but doesn’t mean it isnt a good neighborhood to walk off those calories.

Google
The food was good, the potatoes were amazing, I really did not like the sausage, it was so so so sweet we were shocked. It actually did not taste like meat at all. That kind of taste tasted like candy. I can’t explain it. I did not like it. The eggs were some of the best eggs I’ve eaten. I love their bread too. I would come again and try other things on the menu too.

From the very first impression, everything felt welcoming and well thought out. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between lively and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. The decor was tasteful, with little details that added character without being overwhelming. The service stood out as one of the strongest aspects. The staff were attentive, polite, and always ready to help, yet never overbearing. Every request was handled with a smile, and it really added to the overall experience. The food itself was outstanding. Each plate arrived beautifully presented, with aromas that set the stage for the flavors to come. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the dishes were seasoned and cooked with a level of care you don't always find. Every bite carried a nice balance of texture and flavor, showing that the kitchen knows what they're doing. Drinks were also a highlight, with a wide variety to choose from and options that paired seamlessly with the meal. By the time dessert arrived, it felt like the perfect ending dash indulgent, Satisfying, and thoughtfully prepared., it was the kind of dining experience that leaves you already planning a return visit. Greek food, genuine service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Google
Stumbled by this place in my visit to North Park, and upon entering the diner, I was greeted by the warm, inviting atmosphere that only a classic diner can provide. The friendly staff made me feel right at home, and I sat at the counter, eager to indulge in some comfort food. When my pancakes arrived, I was immediately struck by their size... huge! The were fluffy, golden-brown perfection. Stacked high and they looked absolutely irresistible. The first bite was pure bliss—soft, airy, and bursting with that homemade flavor that you just can't find in a chain restaurant. Each pancake was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of crispiness on the edges. I opted for a the granola and banana toppings, but the diner also offered an array of toppings, from fresh berries to whipped cream. Overall, my pancake experience at the diner was nothing short of delightful. Whether you’re a pancake enthusiast or just looking for a comforting breakfast, I highly recommend stopping by this place.

Google
This place has amazing reviews! I may have got overhyped and then was let down :/ the vibe is perfect. Totally beachy, unassuming, laid back, clean, vibey. The staff - totally cool, relaxed, charming. The food - womp womp :( beautiful presentation, but lack of flavor and too hipster for our liking. I had seen rave reviews for the chilaquiles l, which are my fav and was the number 1 reason why we came. However, they were extremely untraditional chilaquiles with completely different flavor profiles… and this one was bland. It was spicy but had no real flavor. My husband wanted eggs and chorizo, and all they had was soy chorizo. Again, pretty hipster for us. My husband ate it, but wasn’t amazed. My son loved his strawberry banana pancakes, though, and we all ended up eating them haha (portion was huge!!!) My son ordered a chocolate milk and they brought it out looking like a cute little latte which was a fun touch. Overall the experience was good, we just wish the food had lived up to the hype!

Yelp
We come early to beat the crowds. Stopped by right at opening, on the way to the airport. It was misty outside and the staff kindly let us take a seat a couple minutes early. Consistently well prepared food all these years. Not a minor accomplishment! I love the zen breakfast. Filling, without leaving me immobilized all morning. It's very quiet in the AM. Staff is attentive, but without hovering. Perfect

Yelp
We had Mexican Mocha coffee Regular coffee Strawberry Banana pancake Loco Mocco We came on a weekday so parking in front of the restaurant was a breeze otherwise you will circle for days and that will be an accessibility issue considering how far you would have to walk. Service is always great. The steak and eggs never fail. However the meat on the dish have become significantly lesser and the cuts are also smaller. Before the steak cubes are huge, juicy chunks. The side of strawberry pancake has maintained its fluffy, bouncy and light qualities over the years. Same size and buttery taste with a generous sprinkling of bananas and strawberries. The jam on the side of the plate is what we prefer over the syrup. Since we've had plenty of Loco Moco in Hawaii, we don't recommend this dish. The meat is very dry and the gravy doesn't have an umami. Just greasy.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying the House-Made Cinnamon French Toast--it sounded amazing on the menu for $16, promising three slices of cinnamon swirl bread topped with fresh blueberries, strawberries, powdered sugar, and maple syrup. What I got? Three slices of toast and exactly one strawberry sliced in half. One. For something that literally lists strawberries as a featured ingredient, that felt pretty ridiculous. When I politely asked for a few more strawberries to match what was advertised, I was told I'd be charged extra. Seriously? I'm not asking for a mountain of fruit--just what the menu led me to expect. The toast itself was okay, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. At this price point, you'd think they'd care a little more about presentation and customer satisfaction. Wouldn't come back for the French toast, unfortunately. The

Yelp
We stumbled upon The Mission and it was an absolute hit! It has a diner feel to it, casual and cozy. I was surprised to see the amount of gluten free options - the gf rosemary bread was so good that I bought a full loaf! We both got the The Mission Rosemary and were obsessed. They were a little short staffed but still brought our food out quickly.

Michella A.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast place, hands down! They have the best food, best atmosphere, best service -- truly the best everything. Every visit, in every location, feels comforting and delicious from start to finish. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the dishes come out perfectly made, and the vibe is just unbeatable. If you're looking for a place that gets every detail right, this is it. Highly recommended!

Yelp
(truly above 5 if we could!) The Mission is a gem! The food is absolutely incredible--our favorites were the avocado toast, the flavorful chilaquiles, the rich Mexican coffee, and the warm homemade banana bread. Every bite was fresh and delicious. What really made our visit extra special, though, was the amazing service. Our server Jorge was outstanding!!--friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. He made us feel so welcome and cared for from start to finish. Between the food and the service, this place is a must-visit. We'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
The service and food are great here! We love a classic breakfast spot. The items on the menu all sound sooo delicious! Today we tried the Portuguese sausage, lemon curd pancakes, and breakfast burritos! The perfect amount to share with a friend. Can't wait to come back and try more items! Definitely check this spot out.

Yelp
A lot of people have hyped this place up for me but it just didn't live up to its expectations. The fork was dirty and the service was dry. The food was simple. The day I went was slow but they say it gets busy. There's plenty of parking in the neighborhood behind.

Yelp
One of the best breakfast places I've eaten at. I got the ABC omelet and it was wonderful. The inside had a lot of bacon pieces of substantial size - you could tell they fried up the bacon, chopped it up and tossed it inside the omelet rather than using some cheap bacon bits. Normally I never eat the bread that comes with an omelet and only some of the hashbrowns but their rosemary hashbrowns and rosemary bread was unbelievably delicious!! The rosemary was so strong but especially so in the hashbrowns. My sister and I were blown away by just how amazing they were. Highly recommend eating anything rosemary here!! Mom got the French toast and she gave me a piece. I liked how thick they were and how soft the inside was. The outer crust was a bit too tough for my liking, but the inside was great. Maybe they didn't soak the pieces in the batter long enough so the crust was left a bit dry. Not sure but nevertheless, very filling. My nephew got the blueberry pancakes and that 3 stack was really big. Easily something you could split with two people. He ate most of it and I had a handful of bites after he was done and loved the fluffy texture. They were light and with a little syrup just melted in my mouth. Not dense whatsoever. So pancakes are also a great choice here! We were all happy with our breakfast and left with full bellies. Great spot to fill up before a day at the zoo!

Yelp
Our go to places for a quick weekday brunch. The staff is really sweet and attentive. Normally, we see the regular crew in the am and always try to sit in our normal server's area. Menu offers a variety of food for all. Delicious food, great portions, and they come out quick. Our go to are the loco moco, zen breakfast, and one buttermilk pancake to share. You don't have to get an entire stack. Just ask! Weekends can get busy so anticipate some wait. Also, there's only street parking but make sure that doesn't stop you from trying this place out!

Yelp
This place was recommend to us from our Airbnb host and I must say it was a great find! The north park area is very cute and full of restaurants and shops. My mom, aunt, and I enjoyed our coffee and breakfast on our first morning in San Diego at the mission. The pancake was huge! The ranchos verde was a little messy but had great flavor. The coffee was perfectly brewed. The waiter was very patient with us while ordering and checked on us often. This place is a chain so there are a few of them for you to check out around the city if you are ever in the San Diego area!

Yelp
We were celebrating Friendsgiving reunion and everything was delicious!!! Excellent service, fast and amazing attendance. High recommendation!!

Yelp
Park on the street, and walk over to The Mission - North Park to enjoy one of San Diego's best breakfast spots in a bright open space. SERVICE Friendly staff seats you, takes orders and processes bill payments at your table. FOOD 5/5 ZEN BREAKFAST A healthy and flavorful dish made of scrambled egg whites + sesame-soy braised organic tofu + brown rice + grilled zucchini + squash + mushrooms + tomatoes + scallions 5/5 GRILLED CAB STEAK + SCRAMBLED EGGS My go to breakfast option that's cooked perfectly and comes with a perfect side dip of horseradish cream + lovely rosemary potatoes + crispy grilled rosemary bread

Yelp
We went to one of our favorite places for breakfast this morning, the mission in North Park on University Avenue. There is street parking, but we parked at the Laz Parking Lot half a block away. It's super easy to get to. The services always good. We had the chicken sausage frittata, ABC omelette and Mission Breakfast. All was so good. The ambiance is nice, you can sit at a table, booth, or stool at the counter. The burritos are good too. I will try the Loco Moco next time.
google avatar

Jordyn J.

Yelp
Parking is always a difficult task, but once you're in, the food is wonderful. Definitely easier than trying to go to the mission beach location. Large portions and a great selection of both breakfast and lunch items.

Yelp
Arrived early on a weekday. Happy with the delicious food and grateful for such amazing service. Reminded me of new town/updated diner vibes.

Yelp
What better way to start the day than with a big breakfast? We don't always have the time, but when we do, it's time and money well spent. . This was my first time here specifically in North Park, as they have several locations. From what my guy told me they have been a neighborhood staple for over 15 years! They were busy when we came in, but we did not wait long for service. We decided on a table inside as the patio was pretty full. It's a casual space so you seat yourself. Our waitress gave us the necessary time to read the menu and it has a plate for every palate. There are several Latin inspired dishes on there reminiscent of the thriving history San Diego offers. I chose the Sweet Corn Chile Tamales and my beautiful beau got the Tortilla Soup to start and split the Mission Rosemary with me. The food was inviting, scrumptious and abundant. I cleaned my plate and used some of the bread from our shared dish to wipe the bean sauce clean. I can't wait to come back here and try all they have to offer. . If you're passionate about supporting local businesses in your community, make it The Mission!

Yelp
Although the Food was Outstanding 10/26/25 1:30pm Today. Caesar (Server) & Guy (Manager) were so Helpful and did Great to Help me and send me on my way. Caesar has a Great Attitude. Always Love seeing the Awesome small Mexican man! :) He is my Favorite. I didn't appreciate one of your servers, Javier, addressing me with "What do ya want...?" When he was taking down my Order. His attitude wasn't pleasant. Later, he addressed me w M'aam. . so, I Know he Knows Better. But, it was just Rude, it killed my Experience there. I Value more, how I'm Treated over what you can Offer me, on matter How Good the Product is. None of the women servers greeted me or Noticed I was there when I was waiting to be Helped. I know it's busy but usually they're Welcoming. If the Customer Service improves -as a Whole- I will give a 5 Star. Regardless, Thank you to those that Shown me Great Hospitality. I do Appreciate you.

Yelp
Came on the weekend for brunch and the wait was about 20 minutes for a table for 2. I ordered the banana caramel french toast, and it was good. I prefer when french toast has some bite to it vs being soft/soaked in the egg too long, and this had nicely crispy edges. The toast wasn't too thick, and it had a lot of flavor even without the toppings. The toast is topped with caramel, banana, whipped cream, and crushed walnuts.
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
Ambiance was really great. The place was bustling. Lots of laughter and positive energy. The AC was blasting so it was pretty cold but I much prefer that to it being hot. Service was quick and deliberate. I could tell the place was busy for a few hours at that point. I appreciated any time the waitstaff asked if I needed anything. Overall my experience was positive. I think the burrito wasn't my favorite as it seemed to lack flavor, but I had no complaints about the quantity of food nor the temperature -- it came out piping hot. Reddit, Google, and Yelp all have wonderful things to say about The Mission, so I look forward to coming back and hopefully having a better food experience!
google avatar

Diane L.

Yelp
Surprisingly the wait wasn't horrible and the workers were very quick to bring water cups and take our order. The space was decently sized and was pretty packed with folks eating (it was also pride weekend). It is pretty noisy so if you're not talking loud enough, the person you're talking to might not hear you. Had a party of 5 ordering food. Everything came out about the same time, which was nicely timed. I ordered the sweet Hawaiian Portuguese linguica with rice and eggs. Tasted great, and I ate pretty much the whole plate minus the brioche toast. Would've preferred a fruit accompaniment rather than more bread. Would absolutely come back again to try something else on their menu, seeing the other plates of food my friends ordered.

Yelp
Ive been coming here for years. I have always had great service and food. Highly recommend coming here! the staff is very nice

Yelp
One of the OGs of North Park and we all know why. Great service, creative and delicious food with a splash of a homemade feel while being modern. This place never disappoints. Apple sausage frittata and the mushroom frittata. Well done.
google avatar

Gordon D.

Yelp
We came for a brunch on pride Saturday weekend. I thought that food was pretty good! The portions were huge, which kept our table filled for the whole parade. Unfortunately it felt like our table service was noticeably slower, maybe from the festival weekend.
google avatar

Grace F.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast spot. I found this off of Yelp reviews a few years ago and every time my family and I come to San Diego we always visit this spot for breakfast. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, we've had conversations with many of them and they're open to talking. The menu is very extensive and everything we've tried has always been delicious. The decor of the restaurant is nice and presentation is perfect
google avatar

Kimi A.

Yelp
We discovered this cozy breakfast door on our vacation in San Diego. With inside and outside tables, there's a spot for everyone. The chai latte was more milk than chai, but I loved that it was mild...and very hot! The French toast was more than enough for me, but I have leftovers in a recycle friendly container for tomorrow! The wait staff was friendly and timely in her attention to us. We had Tara serving us. She was cheerful, gave us great ideas for our first visit to the area and was just the right amount of available. We would be regulars if we lived here!
google avatar

Marc T.

Yelp
Any local knows The Mission in North Park and Downtown! It's kind of our go to when we can't decide where to eat for brunch. Well, service is starting to slide and most importantly - with the economy nowadays - the value of your meal. As of recent, costs ticked up which I suppose I can understand but portions really have reduced. Take the breakfast burrito for example: anyone who's anyone loves a bfast burro! Why mess with it?! Well, the staple and go-to has now been reduced to something of mini taquitos or something??! See pic. Anyhow, still love their coffee menu but most items on the food menu have gotten hit with the "let's shrink the order and pass it to our patron."
google avatar

Minji K.

Yelp
I had the granola banana pancakes which were great but I had to switch with my bf a third of the way through bc I needed something savory. He got the mission rosemary which was reallly delicious -- we added bacon. I loved it with cholula. There's art on the walls that I loved. The servers were also really kind and on top of their work I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Ellen L.

Yelp
I keep trying because I like some of their food but the amount of time it takes for the food to come out and the servers to actually acknowledge you is always quite annoying. We sat outside because it was really hot inside. Had to go order my coffee at the bar. Ordered a BLT which seemed to have fresh roasted turkey on it, which was very good even though the bread was old and crumbly. Probably would've been better if they toasted it. A very sad side salad thrown on the plate with a few tomato pieces on top of the lettuce. Had to go in and get utensils and then had to go back for mayo and catsup. There were approximately five booths filled when we arrived and only two by the time we got our food. So it was far from busy, I'm not doing this again. It's just too frustrating.
google avatar

Jenny Y.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazing service and street parking is easy to find. The Mission feels like an old-fashioned diner. There's a large number of gluten-free options. I love the Mission Rosemary which consists of rosemary potatoes, eggs and rosemary bread. There's plenty of seating and a patio too. Definitely recommend coming here!
google avatar

Araceli G.

Yelp
Food was ok. Service was ok. Finding a parking spot was a nightmare. The biscuits and gravy were good too.
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
The Mission - North Park was relatively quick and delicious. We were seated outside as a party of 2 immediately, which surprised us on a Saturday around 11:00am. The food was very tasty. The baked banana caramel french toast ($16) was like a bread pudding french toast. It was a bit dense and could've used more fruit, but it was still tasty. A great choice for someone with a sweet tooth! The Mission chilaquiles ($15) were the star of the show. There was a great blend of flavor with black beans, chipotle cream, and various other toppings. We didn't feel the need to add chorizo as there were many scrambled eggs, but the chorizo flavor would've been a great addition. Though parking is always tough in North Park, I'd definitely return! The food was tasty, the wait was short, and I'm eager to try more things.
google avatar

Brian T.

Yelp
Jessica was our server and even though our party struggled to come in, she was patient with us (Parking is horrible in the neighborhood). The food is delicious as always. One person had the ABC omelette (forgot to take a pic) and my boyfriend and I shared the biscuits and gravy. It's always a good go to for food and fun.
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
This is our regular breakfast fav! Local, comfortable, "diner" feel with elevated dishes using fresh ingredients. My son loves their pancakes. My husband loves the chorizo scramble, steak and eggs or you can't go wrong with the mission classic. I love the chicken sausage scramble. Literally have never had anything I don't love. We just keeping coming back! Service is also always amazing - we often have Tara or Jorge serve us and they remember our orders, always get food out quickly, check-in often and greet us with a smile.
google avatar

Julia G.

Yelp
A friend came to visit me from the Bay area and invited me to brunch. We were blessed to find a parking spot nearby easily. We were seated promptly and received attentive service. Both of us enjoyed our meals; my friend ordered the vegetarian Zen breakfast while I opted for the steak and eggs. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and savored each bite. Loved the creamy horseradish sauce. We are in the middle of a heatwave and no matter what I did I just couldn't get cool but I didn't allow it to interfere with my delicious brunch and great conversation.

Yelp
Great brunch and dining place by the water, very quaint and small dining area, but it's right next to the boardwalk, where you can have some food and bask in the sun by the water after. Has handcrafted cafè beverages, beers, well drinks , and mimosa flights for every type of brunchgoers. The breakfast quesadilla was very good, and had the right amount of salsa to give it a good kick. The strawberry & banana Pancake stack was also extremely good, I wish they would have gave you a side of whatever jam/jelly that they spread on the outside of the plate, I think that it made the meal that much better. However, for the amount of servers walking around, and the proximity to the cafe bar, I would have liked to have my water/coffee refilled more than when sat down...But to each their own. $$ Price for meals is about $15-20 per person.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
My partner and I love the mission. They are fabulous for GF /DF allergy... their GF rosemary bread is amazing. We had Tara as our server and she is friendly, welcoming, and always on it. Their coffee is great!

Yelp
The Mission is one of my favorite brunch places. I am never disappointed. We went around 9:30am this morning on Easter Sunday and there was no wait. However, by about 10:30am, it was a full house. We were instantly greeted by our server, Jorge, with water. He was polite, checked on us often, and refilled our drinks in a timely manner. We both ordered the steak and eggs, 1 lemon curd pancake, a lavender oat latte, and espresso. The steak was moist and easy to chew. I love the crispy rosemary potatoes and bread. The lemon curd pancake was also really good and not too tarty or sweet. This was my first time getting coffee here and it won't be my last. We enjoyed our food, the ambiance, and the service. Great way to start our Easter Sunday morning.
google avatar

Andrea C.

Yelp
Stopped by for a little bite to eat with friends and are so glad we did. The server was amazing and we will definitely be back! I would say it's worth the hour drive(:
google avatar

Keri W.

Yelp
We have been here quite a few times but it has been a few years. We went pretty early this morning so there was only one other table. The earlier the better since they do get busy. There is a small patio and the inside is large. Our server was super sweet and took our order and made sure the coffee was always full. We ordered the apple sausage frittata and the mushroom frittata. Both were so good. The rosemary potatoes were crispy and so full of flavor. Nice portions too. My husband got the vegan granola to go and really enjoyed that later. We will be back!
google avatar

Derreck C.

Yelp
I liked how cozy the atmosphere was. I liked their seats and the service was quick. Our waitress was very polite and helpful. Their menu had a lot of choices but not too much so it didn't feel overwhelming. I like how vegetarian/vegan friendly they were. We ordered iced chai tea and it came out really fast. I thought it was a good. My breakfast burrito was good but it was pricey. I don't think I'd pay for the burrito again because of the price. I probably wouldn't come back here to try other things.

Yelp
Great food! Just ordered a yogurt and a burrito. Had to drive back for my receipt. And now we have no utensils or napkins now that we're ready to eat. Also, why would you individually put fruit in 1 cup, yogurt in another and granola in another? It would make sense to put the fruit in a take out box so that I can place all the toppings myself. Thanks

Yelp
The Mission has been around for decades since its original location in Mission Beach. Despite fresh competition in recent years, its still my favorite breakfast brunch spot in San Diego. Late sleepers such as myself can get a table immediately at Noon on Saturday...you early morning go getters should be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes! Service is always friendly, not matter which location I've been to. Interior is nondescript and clean, but you're really here for the food. $15 Cinnamon French Toast...three thick slices of French toast with berries, butter and syrup, really good! Add bacon and eggs for only $5. $20 Steak and Eggs...I always order this! Juicy, meaty, tender grilled chunks of CAB Steak, horseradish cream, hot crispy rosemary potatoes, the Mission's signature grilled rosemary bread, and scrambled eggs. Great way to setup the day, you'll be full well until dinner.

Yelp
We had a craving for French toast and yummy breakfast after volunteering in the morning and opted to try this spot! I've been here before years ago, but haven't been back in a really long time. We got there a tad before noon, it wasn't busy at all! We were greeted right away and out party of five were seated within a minute or two. Even though it took a little bit of time to get water, silverware or menus, the service we got was pretty good. Once we ordered, food came out rather quickly! Large portions and great presentation! Food was delicious! House-made cinnamon French toast with eggs and bacon was yummy! Turkey club and side salad was so big and fresh! Mission rosemary was so good with plenty of rosemary crispy potatoes, rosemary toast and scrambled eggs! Chorizo omelette with rosemary potatoes and toast was really really good! The omelette was full of chorizo! Great kick with jalapeños too! Classic stack of buttermilk pancakes did not disappoint! Great portions, yummy food and great space

Yelp
The ambiance of the restaurant leans more towards a casual trendy environment that blends the aesthetic of a cafe and a breakfast restaurant. Our waiter was attentive and helpful to answer questions and offer suggestions. The Mission Rosemary was quite good although it felt like the dish was missing something such as a protein like bacon, sausage, ham, or some breakfast meat. The potatoes were great along with the eggs, good texture. The Mission Chilaquiles was also good although portion was smaller than expected.

Yelp
Great local spot to get brunch or lunch. We came here for brunch on a Saturday at around 11am and it was only a 15 min wait. Not bad! We tried the loco moco, chilaquiles, tamale, and steak n eggs. I picked the loco moco after seeing everyone on yelp order it but it was just ok, nothing amazing. I really enjoyed the chilaquiles however. My friends also enjoyed their tamale and steak n eggs. I think the highlight of the meal was definitely the rosemary potatoes! So nice and crispy and well flavored. I only ordered it after seeing one reviewer rave about it, and needless to say I wasn't disappointed.
