"Sage Regenerative Kitchen, focused on sustainable and regenerative food practices, also announced its closure in the first week of January 2025." - Rebecca Roland
"Much like Lucy Liu in the early 2000’s, Sage seems to do everything right - not only is their entire menu available for takeout and delivery (that includes baked mac and cheese and excellent jackfruit carnitas), but they’re also offering growlers of beer or kombucha, a full kid’s menu, and batches of their classic house margarita to-go. Available for takeout and delivery." - kat hong
"Animal rights activists planned a protest at Sage Regenerative Kitchen & Brewery. Co-owner Mollie Engelhart reported that protestors caused all customers to leave the restaurant on June 16. The restaurant recently shifted its menu from plant-based to serving regenerative meat and dairy." - Mona Holmes
"Sage is an organic, plant based eatery with a few locations in the LA area. The founder was raised vegan on an NY farm, so the creation came from her love of gardening, food, and cooking. We never bother sitting inside, unless we have to, the patio is pretty large and accommodating. We recommend trying the brunch menu; the tempeh sausage Florentine is the best. If you’re not in the mood for a real meal, you can always stop in to grab one of their 25 beers on tap or a scoop of KindKreme, which is their small batch dairy free ice cream." - Rapt Studio
"On May 29, Sage Plant Bistro & Brewery will shift gears with a new approach and revised name of Sage Regenerative Kitchen & Brewery, serving regenerative farm-based beef, bison, cheese, and eggs to a previously plant-based menu. Owners and chefs Mollie Engelhart and her husband Elias Sosa established Sage as one of Southern California’s more notable plant-based restaurants in 2011 in Echo Park, expanding it into a brewery in 2017." - Mona Holmes
