Sam’s No. 3 - Review - Downtown - Denver - The Infatuation

"Newcomers work really hard to replicate the sort of old-school diner patina and charm that Sam’s No. 3 naturally lives and breathes. That’s because it is an old-school diner, and has been nursing hangovers with its greasy spoon menu for almost 100 years. Everything is bigger at Sam’s, including the 16-page menu, ginormous green-chile drenched breakfast burritos, and the crowds. For the most legit experience, grab a counter stool at the downtown location (there’s a second in Glendale), order a michelada and one of the 20 breakfast burritos, and take in the eclectic scene." - Allyson Reedy

18 Downtown Lunch Options for Every Occasion | Eater Denver

"For a crowd with mixed tastes, there’s nothing better than a classic diner. This one fills the bill with a colossal menu offering everything from all-day breakfast (think pecan waffles, corned beef hash and eggs, and bison skillets) to Greek and Mexican eats (think souvlaki, burritos, and souvlaki-stuffed burritos) to burgers, chili dogs, fish and chips, and so on. Wash it all down with loaded Bloodies or monster milkshakes." - Eater Staff

20 Denver Restaurants That Have Stood the Test of Time | Eater Denver

"Here’s a greasy spoon for the ages: the kind of joint where locals and tourists alike cram in shoulder to shoulder to wash down smothered breakfast burritos and Greek omelets with bloody marys by day, then return come nightfall for burgers and beer, then do it all over again the next day — because some things never get old. (So to speak: while the current location of Sam’s No. 3 technically opened in 2003, the original, which stood on the same downtown block, dated back to 1927.)" - Ruth Tobias

I love this place! I visited last time I was in Denver and I knew I wanted to come back again. Location is perfect for those visiting for work. The wait is typically not too long despite having a lot of visitors. It's a BIG restaurant so the line moves quickly. All the staff that helped us from check in, seating, to our service were kind, welcoming and wonderful. This time I ordered the Country Fried Steak Skillet and with a little Cholula, it was perfect. I went with two of my colleagues this visit and they were both super happy with their orders as well. I had the regular hot coffee with breakfast and it was good too. The menu is huge, which I am not typically a fan of, but it's good if you're with a group. Also, the actual building itself is pretty cute. There's great natural light in the mornings, a covered outdoor seating area, and cute little hibachi looking diner seating. 5/5 and I already can't wait to go back.

Google
So many amazing food options to choose from! The Chile rellenos were small but really good. I was happy to be given the option for vegetarian green chile. The Athena Omelette was pretty good too. We enjoyed the sweet cream pancakes too! Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Bathroom was clean.

Google
Honestly, Sam's has very good food that's served quickly with generous portion, all with a fast and friendly wait staff. I would rate higher if this place would ditch this ridiculous 3.33% "administrative fee" that might come as a surprise when you get your bill. I find this deceptive because it's not mentioned at all until you get the to very back of the menu, something I doubt the majority of their customers even look at. Instead of updating their prices, they take this sneaky approach, which so many restaurants have taken implemented since COVID. If they would try not to shake their customers down with this hidden fee nonsense, I'd honestly give this place 5 stars. I look forward to the day when this absurd tactic finally gets banned.

Google
Disappointing experience — wouldn’t return Unfortunately, our visit was underwhelming from the start. Despite clearly requesting to sit inside to escape the heat, we were initially told to sit outside. Only after insisting were we allowed to move indoors — to a table that hadn’t even been wiped down. The overall atmosphere felt neglected: there was a strong smell of fried food lingering throughout the space, and the restrooms were noticeably unclean. Adding to the confusion, the staff wore no uniforms or anything to distinguish themselves, which came across as unprofessional. The food arrived in about 20 minutes, which was reasonable, but sadly the quality didn’t match the wait. The burger was dry, and the fries were cold and limp. Even when it came time to pay, the staff remained distant and unfriendly. If you don’t enjoy working with people, hospitality might not be the right field. A disappointing visit — we won’t be back.

Google
So many amazing choices & huge portions. We visited Sam’s for breakfast and received our food super quickly! The waitress was very helpful in helping us make our selections. I just diner coffee but espresso drinks as well. Lots of fun decorations (remember it’s a diner, so I’m not sure what other reviewers are complaining about!). Large booth seating. Seems like a popular place to go. Just watch out for the extra 3% administration fee added onto the bill.

Google
Here for a quick trip. Had breakfast here. Great service. I had a breakfast burrito. Can't remember which but it was really good. My wife had the tater tots smothered in country gravy. A little heavy on the onion but it was also very good. Fun atmosphere. Service was great.

Google
Classic American diner with top-notch brunch Sam’s No. 3 was everything we hoped for and more—friendly, fast service, bottomless coffee, and a menu packed with comforting classics. We had the El Chingon (great heat and flavour!) and a veggie flat top omelette—both generous portions and cooked just right. The atmosphere is pure vintage diner with a Colorado twist, and the menu is so big we’re already planning our next visit. A must-visit for a hearty brunch in downtown Denver.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast again. Parking was a challenge but the food did not disappoint. Service is top tier and that bloody mary was perfect.

Yelp
Our server food was amazing. The bloody Mary's on point!!!!!!!! If you in Denver must stop by...

Yelp
The look and feel of this place is awesome. Especially considering this has been around since the roaring 20s. Our server was super nice and very regularly came around to check if our drinks were full and that we were liking the food alright. I ordered the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger with tots and a Dr Pepper. The flavors were amazing (except the blue cheese but that's on me). And the amount and variety of menu items here are mucho. If you're in Denver, you simply MUST come for breakfast and/or lunch!

Yelp
It's a tourist spot and lots of people come here. Don't be discouraged though. If you see a lot of people, they already put their names in and they are waiting for the text to go eat. It took us about 25 mins of waiting and we were number 23 on the waitlist. It goes fast. The menu is quite large and the burrito isn't that big if you can pack it all in. I finished mine quickly. The potatoes were great. The sauce was okay in my opinion. What I like about this place is their consistency on the food. It's a fast pace diner style and it's a sit down, order, eat, pay, leave type of place.

Yelp
This 90+ year old diner is worth a visit! They have over 100 items to choose from on their huge 16 page "hot mess" menu, as Sam's No 3 says. You'll find breakfast, lunch & dinner here & everything in between, they even have Liks Ice Cream ( ice cream shop in Denver). There seems to always be a line out the door, which there was when we went. Don't let that deter you the restaurant is big - we only waited about 15 minutes to be seated & that was on a Saturday around noon. Inside, the music is loud & the atmosphere lively. There is a lot to look at - memorabilia on the walls & old diner pics in black & white. The booths are comfy & there is also a counter & bar area as well. Service was very good. I liked that they start you off with a carafe of water & cups. We had the Coney Hamburger Steak, the Country Benedict & the Combo Chile Relleno & Cheese Enchilada Platter with Refried Beans & Rice. Food portions were huge! The hamburger steak was delicious, the chill cheese sauce certainly made the dish, it came with hash-browns & garlic toast. The Country Benedict had an interesting twist - scrambled eggs & sausage patties on biscuits smothered in sausage country gravy with potatoes. Yummy! The Chile Relleno was very good, nice & crispy, with tasty beans & rice, however the Cheese Enchilada was just okay. If you're wanting some good comfort food, Sam's No 3 is the place to go!

Yelp
Sam's is always my go to breakfast spot in downtown Denver. The portions are huge and I can split an omelette and still have a huge meal. I also recommend getting a side of the kickin green chile with whatever you decide on from their extensive menu. Everything I've had is good. I'm partial to the Mexican stuff but the corned beef hash (scratch or canned) is also a go to. This is a great spot to build your base before heading out for a day of drinking at Denver's breweries!

Yelp
We came here for lunch today after hearing all the buzz about this diner and wanted to check it out for ourselves. The line was much shorter than what we saw the day before, which was a relief since we had a backup plan in case we couldn't get in. Fortunately, we were seated much faster than expected. Even though we were told there would be a 20-minute wait, it was more like five minutes. We ordered a few drinks: a Bloody Mary, a Michelada, and a soda. The Bloody Mary didn't quite live up to our expectations--being from Texas, we have pretty high standards for drinks. The Michelada, on the other hand, had a great mix of flavors, though I'll always say Dos Equis or Modelo are the best beers for a Michelada. As for the food, it came out quickly and the portions were generous. Definitely come with an empty stomach! The overall diner experience was fun, and the lively atmosphere really added to the charm of the place.

Yelp
I walked by earlier this week and it looked like a cool place to visit. Pretty good size inside. I sat at the counter which was set up as two square pods. A good way to get a quick meal. A full alcohol menu with a variety of drinks. I was out in 25 minutes. Decent omelet. I would come again.

Yelp
Diners in New York are a sacred thing. We have diners that have been around for decades. The beauty of the diners are menus that are multiple pages filled with everything from hamburgers to Lasagna and Spinach Pies to Lemon Meringue Pies. I came here with my wife and two friends and within a few minutes our server came over, introduced herself and took a drink order. She returned with our drinks and took our food order. It did not take long for her to come back with a very loaded tray. Soups, Open face Turkey, BLT's and Friend Chicken... This is everything that you would expect to find being eaten at the diner. Food was good, fresh and hot. Service was wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive to our table needs and the mood of the diner was great. Lots of electricity in the air and people really looked like they were enjoying themselves. What more can a restaurant ask for? Kudos to the team at Sam's No 3 - Downtown.

Yelp
We stop here every time we are in Denver. I finally remembered to take photos to review. We love this place so much. We were only here four days and ate here twice! The menu is huge so you can always find something new. The place is always packed but it's still really quick. We got in this time without a wait by going once on a Saturday right at seven and then on Monday around nine. Service is always friendly and fast. First visit I got the huevos Benedicto which was amazing! Tons of chorizo - like it had to be two pounds in that thing. Boyfriend got the chorizo cheddar omelette and really liked it. Second visit I got the chicken fried chicken and eggs. So delicious. I ate every bit and I'm not great at finishing meals. I can't remember what my boyfriend got - some kind of potato stacker I think but he did love it. I always go with coffee and orange juice and they keep my coffee full. My boyfriend always has a manmosa with the meal and gets one to go too. He loves those things and they seem strong. Will be back every time we visit Denver!

Yelp
Sat at the counter and just love the u shaped counter The service is fast and efficient. They do a stellar breakfast and I just love Gyros and eggs. The sourdough toast is yum. Huge menu. Fun place to eat with many types of food from American to Greek to Mexican. A classic downtown Denver must go to.

Yelp
Great food, great service. This menu is huge, which I know is sometimes not a good thing, but it seems Sam's has perfected their dishes. There's definitely something here for everyone. We arrived on a Monday morning around 10:30 and it was surprisingly packed. This restaurant is huge, so we didn't have to wait long for a table, but by the time we left their was a line out the door. Food was delicious and we enjoyed every bite. The portions are huge and it was resonantly priced. Wish there were more diners like this around.

Yelp
A must eat place in downtown Denver. This place is a whole vibe - a classic American diner vibe. The food comes out fast and everything we tried was amazing. The menu is so big! And the best part - you can order from the entire menu all day! Want breakfast for dinner - do it! Want dinner for breakfast - do it! We tried the French toast, bacon, sausage gravy biscuits, breakfast burritos, and chicken fried chicken and everything was amazing. It's good old fashion home cooking right in the heart of downtown Denver. The staff works so diligently to make the service fast and friendly. We loved it so much we ate here twice on our trip. Check it out!

Yelp
Get the green chili. Chef's kiss. This is your typical diner food restaurant. Except they serve amazing green pork chili that goes with everything. Servers were friendly and food came quickly (like 5 minutes!). Each dish is can serve 2-3 people. There was so much food. It became 2 meals for us. The diner was a bit loud but that is to be expected. Highly recommend to come here if you want delicious food, large portions, friendly staff, no wait, and options. There menu is very very extensive.
google avatar

Britney B.

Yelp
There's a big "Featured on Food Network" sign so naturally it looks intriguing! Upon walking in it's an American diner and so charming and real. I felt comfortable singing alone at the bar. My total tab was $16 for a wonderful latte a short stack and 2 scrambled eggs. The service was okay-it didn't add or takeaway from my experience. At these kind of places the servers are in the background and the magic is in the background noise, sports on tv, and the new strangers you sit next to. I would totally come back here when I'm downtown Denver.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
We got on the list on a busy Saturday morning. While the quoted wait ended up being updated to longer, as there were only two of us, we actually got seated sooner than we expected. The menu is huge, so having time to look at all of the options is recommended. I had the Greek omelette and substituted the biscuits and gravy for the potatoes and toast. Omelette was a bit dry without the tzatziki sauce and not really equal at all levels. A few bites of not much other than feta were a bit overwhelming. Biscuits are delicious. My wife liked her cheese omelette with biscuits. Potatoes were fine but nothing special. I liked the coffee better than she did. Service was quick at the start but then not around when we both needed coffee. We did end up getting our refills before finishing the meal. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I stopped here to grab a bite to waste time. Shout out to Mickayla! My waitress was WONDERFUL! This place is like a day party for it to be a early weekday. The music was banging. The entire staff, as well as, the customers were all really nice! I was shocked to see how nice everyone was honestly! I liked that, the vibes, as well as, the inside are setup similar to a San Francisco diner. It has eat at countertops, tables and booths. They also have covered outdoor seating which was cool for human watching. I also liked that it flows into the bar in back giving this place tons of space. The place was busy! I ordered pancakes, a bacon egg white omelet w/a glass of orange juice. The food: I wasn't a fan of the egg white omelet at all! I loved their Pancakes though! The prices are high but it's in a busy and popping area in downtown, which made the prices competitive in the area. There's plenty of metered parking but unfortunately, they do not have a parking lot for the restaurant. I'd definitely go again but I won't get the omelet. I recommend eating here for sure! Fast service is an understatement! I was in and out in a jiffy! I'd definitely go back when in the area.

Yelp
This location is always very busy with a line out the door. There is big bold text that this location was on the Food Network before, but we were unsure why after dining here. The ambiance is fantastic, true American diner type of feel. The menu is also endless and you can spend a whole hour looking through it. We came here for breakfast and ordered the taco burrito and chili cheese burger. Both of which were pretty bland, except for the chili which was very tasty. Our waitress was also pretty rude with dropping off our plates and overall attitude, but we didn't mind too much since you can't ask for too much these days. If you're in a pinch and in the area, it gets the job done but there are definitely better options elsewhere.
google avatar

Yelp
Certainly a staple in downtown Denver. Super nice staff, very helpful with breakfast selections. Food was great and reasonably priced. I'll probably eat here again tomorrow!
google avatar

Zachary D.

Yelp
Sam's diner checks all your diner boxes except its expansive menu, and large seating area. This is a downtown diner which would normally mean "jack of all trades master of none." However my simple lunch of Tex-Mex Chili and Small Greek salad hit the spot. Staff works hard and is very nice and diligent. Kitchen spits food out fast Chili was fantastic and a solid serving. Don't worry for those afraid of heat it's not that spicy. Just get the Tex-Mex bowl and enjoy on a cold/rainy day like I did. Salad was served with Pita bread and tzidziki sauce and had a nice light Greek dressing.

Yelp
Recommendations from the hotel staff. The most DELICIOUS mistake ever. My eyes were WAY bigger than my stomach. I have no regrets The staff was so sweet. Be prepared for a line. If you are rolling on a solo food adventure, you can sit at one of the 2 U-shaped counters. The feel is old school diner. ...because it is a diner. The noise is going to very, sports will be on, and the regulars will be nose deep in their typical order. Of you are trying to sit more than 4, there will be a bit of a wait depending on the time of day. Now to the food. OMG...those pancakes will live rent free in my head! So light and fluffy. I feel that I have been lied to all my life about chili rellenos. These were over flowing with cheese. Not cheese sauce....CHEESE GLORIOUS CHEESE. This is a solid dish with 2 huge chilies, rice, and beans. If you are touring or a local. Make sure you stop here.

Yelp
Great place! Fun vibe, nice servers, really good food. Came 3x during our short trip to Denver, highly recommend.

Yelp
Food was really good and large portions. Cinnamon roll 5/5 Coffee 4/5 Colorado Buffalo burrito 5/5 Not impressed with the lack of prices on the menu and to find out the burrito was $25...don't be sneaky

Yelp
Sams No 3 just never disappoints. Ever. The Mac & Cheese Dip was the appetizer of the day and we all enjoyed the burgers this time around. Can't wait to go again -- next time I'm in Denver!

Yelp
This restaurant's menu is enormous, and everything we tried was fantastic! It was next to our hotel, perfect for any time! We stopped in when we arrived in Denver and noted a wait. We went to the back, and the bar was open, so think about that if you are looking for quick seating. You are drawn to this place because it feels like a throwback diner to the 50s. The server's are extremely helpful, with an extensive menu and friendly, so tip well! Everyone was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We tried the Chicken Fried Chicken and the BLTA (with Avocado), and in both meals, we had the tots (which were fried perfectly, and you get a ton, so be ready). I am adding pictures from our late lunch and the next day's breakfast! ENJOY. PROS: A vast menu that allows for any taste, including tons of gluten-free choices if that is your jam. Food comes out quickly, and there is plenty (so you may need to share). This perfect diner feels like stepping back in time, a must-visit. CONS: Prices are not listed on the menu (we found it reasonable). Wait time can be a problem, but you can choose the bar area or the counter seating, which is first come, first serve.

Yelp
Even though this place has some TV fame, this was a stumble upon as we were staying close. The breakfast quesadilla was huge and came with a potato type side (I went for the breakfast potatoes - could use some flavoring). The breakfast quesadilla however was super good and ate the whole thing in one sitting. Perfect amount of cheese to eggs to chopped bacon. The sour cream and the green chile sauce on the side complimented it beautifully. Very friendly service. Wicked fast too, and they were busy. Super chill.
google avatar

Yelp
I like a hot dog that's grilled to perfection and snaps back at you when biting into it. The chili on top is just icing on the cake. (I'm talking to you Ben's Chili Dog in Washington DC.) Sam's No. 3 "Coney Dog" ($7) does not have that 'snappy' quality but the chili tastes great with chopped onion. Only dislike is the bun - soft on top and dry/over-toasted on bottom. I do not like toasted buns on a hot dog.
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Sam's is a diner in the downtown area. Typical breakfast food, but large portions. They have lots of options for alcohol, though I didn't try any. Great prices for their breakfast specials, which last until 10am.
google avatar

JoJo E.

Yelp
Large portions!! Be prepared. I've always loved this place for its incredible variety of food they offer and decent preparation. It's not the epitome of culinary achievement, but it ain't bad. Until today. No prices posted on their menu so you need to scan their QR code for that. After walking around the convention center, and not wanting the unhealthy food they offer, we headed to Sam's for a late lunch. We started out with a half order of their hot wings then we got a bowl of green chili with flour tortillas and an order of french fries. See? MUCH healthier!! Hahaha The wings were over cooked and didn't have enough buffalo sauce, the carrots were cut into huge slabs and the blue cheese dressing was meh. The pork green chili was really watery and the meat was ground pork, not chunks. They put tomatoes in it which changes the flavor and I wasn't offered any fresh onions or cheese. The two burrito sized tortillas weren't the freshest either. The French fries and draft beer were the best things there. Our server wasn't the most attentive, choosing to gossip with the other young servers by the kitchen. I had to get up from my table to flag her down two times, unfortunately. What the tarnations is going on with the restaurants in Denver!! I'll not return to this location again, sadly.

Yelp
I loved the concept of this restaurant. We were in from out of town and need a place to grab some food when we ran into this restaurant. The set up is nice and the service is lovely. There are plenty of food options and my group of 5 took advantage of that. We ordered a variety of dishes. The food was prepared well but was very much average. Not bad but I've definitely had better diner food. We had the grapefruit sangria wish wasn't too good but we had a whole pitcher of it so we just drank it. It's worth a try. You won't be disappointed nor wowed.

Yelp
Oh my lord. What a treat. We were looking for a great breakfast spot to put the cap on our fun Denver weekend. We were referred by friends. Different friends raved about Sam's 3 so we just had to check it out. I'm so glad we did. I'll start by saying the staff was friendly, the restaurant is clean and spacious.. the food... I had the breakfast burrito supreme with green chile on top and tarot tots inside. The portion is ridiculous so split it with someone if you eat like a normal person. It was absolutely delicious and one of those meals I'll just dream about till the next time I'm here.

Yelp
We were so excited to try Sam's No 3! We stayed right next door and couldn't wait to get in the door. Be aware, there is almost always a wait! It's that popular and definitely worth it. The menu ranges from imaginable breakfast options plus lunch options. It was really hard to choose but I had the veggie omelet with a side of home fries, my husband had special rib eye steak and eggs. I also ordered a delicious white chocolate mocha coffee. The service was fast and everyone was so friendly! The vibe was old school diner!
google avatar

Laci G.

Yelp
This is a Breakfast Spot that was truly Epic and lived up to the Guy Fieri DDD top breakfast HYPE. Our server Tyson was so helpful and explained their extensive menu and narrowed things down for us. There's so much to choose from. So we ate extremely happy he was patient and gave us the best meal we ate in Denver! Thanks Tyson "for chicken" lol. We all love every selection and the portions were all enough for 2-3 people. The eggs and veggies were all perfectly cooked and the potatoes very creamy and well done. I would go often if I lived locally.
google avatar

Cassandra C.

Yelp
When the Aurora location closed we still needed our fix of Sam's, so made it to the one downtown!! It ended up being walking distance to the museum of illusion that we went to after to walk off the food. We started with some loaded bloody Mary's and these delicious loaded tots. The size of the start was enormous and we could barely even eat most of our main course, which was a wet burrito. Food was great, service was great, ambiance was noisy (to be expected with a diner)! Can't wait to come back
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
The kickin' green chili is worth the hype! Order anything with it and you're golden. Service was friendly and fast. Imagine an all-American dinner vibe. I had the southwestern salad which comes with the hot green chili instead of dressing. It was a huge portion of juicy chicken, lettuce, black olives, tomatoes, guacamole and lots of jalapeños. If you can't take heat, you'll want to order without jalapeños because the green chili itself has a kick to it, hence the name! They were made famous on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri years ago, and they're still serving up delicious meals! My friend had the chili relleno and she said it's the best she's ever had. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Food was mediocre. The high reviews do not match the experience and we are 8. Terrible service & experience. I do not recommend nor would ever return.

Yelp
I was wowed by the gigantic portions!! Without a doubt, the biggest burrito I have ever had! It wasn't that good, it was mostly rice, but was fun.

Yelp
We got the pork tacos and the fish tacos with margaritas and a berry cider. I was VERY pleasantly surprised with these tacos. VERY flavorful and very full. They came with guac(not the best but still good), sour cream, like (halves and not wedges which i preferred), and salsa. The beans on the side were very flavorful. I didn't love the rice on the side (a little lacking in flavor and bit gummy). The service was SUPER fast and the drinks were awesome. big portions and big bang for your buck will be coming here again.

Yelp
Food and service were out of this world. The menu is insane and has anything you could possibly imagine. The waitress remembered us when we returned the next day. We love it here!

Yelp
Every part of our meal was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious! Waitress was super friendly and the service was fast! The atmosphere was typical diner with a good noise level. But still an awesome place to get great good!

Yelp
This place is a gem offering an old school diner feel with a giant food selection for all you breakfast lovers and/or families with wide varieties of breakfast preferences. I am always excited to find a place with Huevos Rancheros and New Mexican style green chili. As a total Mexican food snob, I went in with low expectations (no offense Denver) but was pleasantly surprised! We came expecting to wait a bit as the place was packed but we were sat immediately. We ordered and our food came out, I kid you not, within five minutes. Even the waitress seemed surprised by this so, yelpers, maybe don't expect that fast of an order to table turn around but boy were we thankful as we were starving. This wasn't the best huevos rancheros I've had in my life, but it was the best I've had in Denver. And that counts for a lot. They also have gluten free options marked for anyone with gluten allergies or sensitivities! Glad we found this spot and will be back next time we are staying downtown.

Yelp
I walked in when the doors opened at 7 am, and eight people were in line. I sat at the counter and ordered within seconds of sitting down. (I realize that experience may differ if you go any other time.). My server, Mara, was excellent. She was professional, had a good sense of humor, and kept my coffee nice and warm. I ordered the bacon breakfast quesadilla with hash browns. It came with a sauce and sour cream on the side. The portion was just right, and every bite was delicious. It was reasonably priced: $20 before tip and their extensive menu! I'm sure I'll patronize them again in the near future.

Yelp
Sam's no 3!! What can I say about this place? Ugh - it was such an amazing experience. Their PORTIONS... INSANELYYYYYYYY huge - you won't be needing to eat for 3 days. And for that price?! It's a steal. The service was great, everyone was nice and attentive. And the atmosphere of the place was cute! Comfortable seating, HUGE place - so there's always room for people to come in! Unfortunately, and I don't wanna give you guys a 4 star because you all very much deserved a 5 -- but the biscuits and gravy were NOT my favorite. It was super bland. I honestly hated it. (I'm very big on biscuits). With all that being said, you guys were amazing. I recommend everyone to please go try this spot!

Yelp
Came here for second time in 3 days - service is speedy friendly and knowledgeable! He kept up with refilling my coffee too which is always a plus! I got the French toast which was delicious - the right amount of sweet and crunch! I also got to try the TSA (tomato spinach avocado) eggs Benedict and this was so good! Their hollandaise is perfect creamy flavorful and luscious! I also love the crunch of the home fries- this place is a must go for any visitors to downtown Denver!! Place is busy but clean and well lit! No wait at all

Yelp
Traveling to Colorado Springs but flying into Denver provided the opportunity to try out spots in the big city. A friend recommended Sam's #3 so we decided to hit it up right after landing at the airport. Located in downtown it wasn't easy to find parking due to construction but managed to swipe a spot at a meter just a couple blocks away. There was a short wait as we walked in. As we waited, the line grew longer and longer. Definitely a popular spot. Once inside there are a couple different dining areas. Each that I saw was packed. We were seated soon after arriving and greeted by our server. The menu is ginormous. American breakfast basics, potato pancakes, Mexican and Greek options throughout for breakfast lunch and dinner. We ordered the Supreme Omelette, Hand-Rolled Chili Relleno & Eggs and finally my Rockies Burrito. The Supreme Omelette had tons of meats including diced ham, bacon, sausage and gyro meat. Topped with Jack cheese and served with a side of their Kickin' Pork Green Chili. Each bite had some sort of meat combo in it. The chili gave it an extra dose of flavor. The Chili Relleno had a nice simple breading and was served with house potatoes and topped with their Kickin' Vegetarian Chili. Similar flavor but subbed out corn and black beans for the pork chili. Finally the Rockies Butrito had the makings of Spero's Burrito (eggs, home fries in a tortilla) but added two chili relleno inside! Still topped with melted cheddar and smothered in the Kickin' Pork Green Chili. UH-MAZ-ING flavors in each bite. Had to ask for more chili cause I wanted to drink it straight. It was that good! Such a perfect spot for our first meal in the Mile High City. Keep on Yelp'n!

Yelp
Food was good, service super! The music is just like most restaurants these days, way too loud! If music is a must, keep it low. Cannot enjoy conversing with others Otherwise cute place.

Yelp
The place itself is cool and upon walking in, we thought it had good vibes. The Bloody Mary was boozy which was great but their mix is not great, making the drink not-so-good. The gyro wrap was good and so were the fries and the original breakfast was also good and the perfect amount. We came due to the amount of good reviews, but I'm sure there are better places.

Yelp
My fiancé and I are in town, visiting for the weekend and we were looking for a solid breakfast spot to start off our trip. We landed on Sam's because of its notoriety and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Avalanche Omelet and Kitchen Sink Skillet, to-go. The picture speaks for itself! Both meals were absolutely divine. Sam's really knows how to make good breakfast food! Even though this is a brekkie review, their menu is absolutely huge! You will definitely find what you are looking for, for lunch or dinner!! Lastly, the restaurant itself is so cute; I wish we could've stayed to enjoy the ambiance. This is definitely the spot to go to, when you are in town!
