21 Reasons to Dine in Coconut Grove Right Now

"It’s hard to miss that cheese wheel pasta topped with truffle currently dominating everyone’s social media feeds, and this is the place to get it. This quaint seafood restaurant boasts that decadent cacio e pepe dish and many others like pasta stuffed with grouper cooked with zucchini cream sauce and clams, steamed crab meat tartare, and burrata cheese with Sardinia anchovies." - Olee Fowler

Sapore di Mare - Review - Coconut Grove - Miami - The Infatuation

"Sapore di Mare is a classic Grove Italian spot that specializes in pasta and seafood. It’s a cute restaurant, with a tiny dining room and (where you really want to sit) a secluded little patio out back. We like the seafood section of the menu best, especially the various crudo and carpaccio dishes. The pasta isn’t quite as impressive. They do an off-menu cacio e pepe that gets tossed tableside in one of those huge parmesan wheels. But it ends up overwhelmingly cheesy and way too heavy to comfortably finish. Stick to one of the lighter pasta options if you’re in a noodle mood, like the pear-stuffed agnolotti di pera. But even that isn't quite as good as the seafood options here." - Ryan Pfeffer

It's not a large place, but it was full and lively; reservations are recommended. The friendly and prompt service and food were excellent. We had appetizers, wine and four different great dishes. My salmon was one of the best ever, and the serving size was generous... kept the wonderful taste today with leftovers! Highly recommend this restaurant with its also great location.

This place is great, had a nice dinner with my wife last night and was honestly impressed. Everything was great from the wine to the food and especially the service. My server’s name was Angel and he is just a professional from giving the best recommendations and always making sure we were good & our wine glasses nice and served. 10/10 experience will recommend to anyone who wants to try it out.

Google
Best Italian seafood restaurant in Miami by far! The service was beyond amazing — everyone was incredibly kind and made us feel truly special from the moment we walked in. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco, and the bread basket came out warm and freshly baked — clearly homemade and absolutely delicious, which was perfect to enjoy with our pasta. We started with the octopus and the tuna tartare — hands down, the best we’ve ever had in our lives. For mains, we had the frutti di mare pasta, which was excellent and packed with seafood. We also ordered the branzino, salmon, and sole alla puttanesca — each one was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Truly speechless. To end the night, they offered us complimentary limoncello and biscotti — such a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Google
Charming restaurant in Coconut Grove! My rigatoni was delicious! The portion is enough. The calamari was also very good but my husband told me that was a little greasy. The best thing was the tiramisu and the service that was outstanding!

Google
Italian food at its best. Sapore di Mare, located in the heart of the lively Coconut Grove, has been a favorite for many years now. Their authentic and delicious dishes are worth the price, particularly the cacio e pepe and the tagliolini al sapore di mare. For dessert, we had the orange cheesecake with gelato and it once again exceeded expectations. Service is friendly and the environment is welcoming, with indoor seating and some outdoor options too.

Google
Unexpectedly the best meal of my time in Miami, in unexpectedly the best seat in the house. I arrived looking to grab a great meal for myself. They immediately accommodated me in a solo table by the service area where I got a from row seat to the show of incredible dishes going out. I took the waiters recommendation for the mushroom salad and cod pesto linguine. It was incredible and will live rent free in my memories for life. If your waiter has a left bicep tattoo, listen to him. Only gave 5 stars because it was the limit. I treated myself for sure and it was completely worth every penny.

Take a trip to Italy from Coconut Grove! Delicious, savory food, so tasty I didn't want to stop eating despite getting full. Service is warm & friendly. Very authentic Italian dishes and ambiance. A must visit in Coconut Grove!

Google
I was worried about coming here based on some of the reviews. We met some friends for dinner based on their recommendation. The food was lovely. Flavorful and nicely presented. The service was exceptional. Very clean and cozy.

Yelp
Sapore di Mare is hands down the most authentic Italian restaurant in Miami--and honestly, one of the best I've ever been to in the states. Tucked away like a true hole-in-the-wall gem, this place is a must-visit if you're craving legit Italian cuisine that feels straight out of the heart of Italy. The food is absolutely incredible. I tried the Trofie Pesto with Gamberi, and it was perfection--the pasta paired with the vibrant, pesto and perfectly cooked shrimp was delicious. The Bucatini Bolognese was rich, hearty, and just a perfect comforting Sunday meal. We also had the Melanzana Taglioni and it was delicious. Every bite was a delight! The service here is equally spectacular. The staff is warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they take pride in making sure every guest has a wonderful experience. Sapore di Mare is a hidden treasure, and I can't wait to come back. If you're in the Grove and want a genuine taste of Italy, do yourself a favor and visit this place.

Yelp
My husband and I drove two hours from Palm Beach County to experience this restaurant. We heard of the restaurant on Instagram. We were prompted to order immediately due to the potential delay in service. However, we were in and out within 40 minutes. We were dismayed with the service. The waiter only came to our table for our order and the bill. We never had a water refill the entire time we were there. Lastly, my husband ordered the lobster ragu pasta special. The lobster was overcooked and chewy. I ordered the lobster ravioli which was very good! Our two appetizers were alright. Overall, we were disappointed with the service after having driven the two hours. The food was alright.

Yelp
Be careful where you park your vehicle. The valet parking has some sort of business going with whoever controls the CCTV cameras on that parking lot and if you don't agree to his valet parking you a vehicle will get towed , it happened to me. It was a very unpleasant experience, and the restaurant did nothing about it. The food was cold, and the service was mediocre , very unpleasant experience besides the place is very small and it's always a problem to find a good spot

Yelp
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in miami! I always visit when I need an authentic Italian meal. I have been multiple times and I can't get enough! The food is delicious! The ambience is very cozy and you feel like you are in Italy. Each time that I have been here I have been treated excellent with prompt service and a great experience overall. My wife loved her lobster ravioli and she gets it every time. My favorite dish is the cacio e Pepe out of the cheese wheel. The whole family loved the table side display, but we enjoyed eating it more! For kids there is not much space for a stroller to fit but There are high chairs. Kids enjoyed their mac and cheese thoroughly. Totally recommend for a date night or a night out with the family. We will be back for sure

Yelp
Delicious food, great service in a homey environment. We started a refreshing spritz, then the complimentary bread arrived. It tasted homemade. For starters we ordered some calamari with shrimp, they were so fresh. Then we had a special focaccia bread which was amazing. I shared a lobster ravioli with my son which was so juicy and delicious. My husband had a pasta with seafood which he loved and my friend had another pasta with oysters that she said was on point. We had a great evening and definitely finish the night right with the dessert. We'll be back when around the area and craving good Italian food done right.

Yelp
I came here last night to grab a quick bite for dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the service was, especially considering the restaurant was full. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. As soon as I saw the menu in Italian, I knew the food was going to be good; and boy, was I right! The food was delicious. I tried the prosciutto with burrata cheese, and it was amazing. The burrata was so creamy. For the main dish, I decided to try something out of my comfort zone and went for the Tagliatelle Melanzane e Burrata, which was also fantastic. I'm not usually a big fan of pasta, but the way they make it here is superb. I would definitely return and take my time exploring other items on the menu.

Yelp
We came for dinner. It is a small place and since was raining the inside was full, so we sat outside. The waiter was pleasant and the food was decent. My husband liked it way more than I did. We had pasta with clams and a pasta with meatballs. The food was okay, nothing out of this world. Their bread was fantastic! Overall, it was okay.

Yelp
I lived near Coconut Grove in the Gables for years and never ate here because it's always soo packed and have been turned away without a reservation. I highly recommend you make one, but I came in on a random Thursday solo and they were able to fit me in. I now understand why it's so busy, the food was amazing. The servers are all on point and no one missed a beat. The restaurant is small and they have outdoor dining but get used to eating in tight quarters, it's worth it. I ordered the mussel appetizers and it was so flavorful! For my main I got the lobster ravioli and woooow, so good! I am still thinking about all the flavors of the stuffing. I highly recommend and I look forward to coming back and friends and family, with a reservation!

Yelp
A nautical themed restaurant in Coconut Grove that never disappoints. Every time I go I get a consistent experience. Service is great and the food is always fresh. They have daily pasta and seafood specials with a rotational menu. Be sure to start with their bread. Their fresh baked focaccia with olive oil is amazing. I've been for both lunch and dinner. I highly recommend their pesto rigatoni. For a seafood/pasta option, try their classic Tagliolini Al Sapore Di Mare which has cherry tomatoes, mussels, clams, shrimp, and tender calamari. Their squid ink pasta is also delicious. They also have Cacio E Pepe which is off-menu and is prepared table-side. So good.

Yelp
This place is truly a gem, and if we had more time we might would've even considered dining here twice. We had a date night here our first night and started off with the mussels and the tuna appetizer as well as a bottle of Amarone Della Valpolicella. The wine is one of our favorites and they decanted our bottle which was icing on the cake. The two appetizers were really the only disappointment of the night, hence only 4 stars. The tuna appetizer had little to no flavor and the mussels had several bad mussels in the bowl. For dinner I had the lobster ravioli which was truly out of this world and my husband had Cacio e Pepe which was one of the tastiness yet simplest Italian dish we've had in a while. We sat outside, it was a perfect night, and had the best service all around. For desert, we had a second bottle of Amarone

Yelp
Tiny Seafood Italian restaurant in the heart of Coconut Grove. Party of 4, we started our night with a bottle of Cà dei Frati - I Frati Lugana 2022 White wine. So refreshing! For appetizer: * Octopus Focaccia was divine! Crispy, Octopus was perfectly cooked, Olives & Stracciatella were a yummy touch to it. For entree's: * Lobster Ravioli were amazing! Full of flavors! * Bucatini Ragu di Wagyu was extremely delicious; a little on a smaller note. Pecorino cheese on top * Calamarata con Scampi Langoustine were extremely fresh. Every bite was a different explosion. Sauce was perfect and our white wine was the perfect pairing combination for our entrèe. For Dessert: * Chocolate Gelato was definitely not a gelato based it was more of a regular chocolate ice cream. * Tiramisu is a must order! Make sure to make a reservation through Open Table if not you'll be seated at their "outdoor area" which is in the back with air conditioner but there's too many mosquito's in that area. Our server Sophia has great reflections as my friend almost dropped her wine glass and she was able to catch it mid way! Other than that, Highly Recommended!

Yelp
Our girls have been talking about the 'pasta made in the cheese wheel' for months, so when I found this restaurant, we had to go. They take reservations and I suggest getting one. The place is cozy but not overcrowded. It did get a bit loud in the enclosed outside area. Highlights were the gnocchi with Gorgonzola and the cacio e Pepe (cheese wheel pasta). The gnocchi were like little pillows of goodness. If you don't like Gorgonzola, don't get it. It's very rich but amazing. The girls got the cacio e Pepe without truffles (I tried). Either way, they loved it. Really good experience and great restaurant.

Yelp
Had a delicious dinner last night with friends. We ordered: Fritto dell'Orto (stuffed zucchini flowers) Calamari Fritti (Fried Calamari) Cacio E Pepe con Tartufo - with & without truffles ($40 & $29) Tagliolini al Sapore di Mare (Seafood Pasta) Gamberoni All Griglia (Salad with prawns) Sbriciolona Lombarda (Mascarpone cream, nutella, & cantucci almond biscuits) Bottle of red wine I had the Cacio E Pepe con Tartufo (with truffles) but without pepper. It was good but I won't be having cravings for it later. Everyone enjoyed their food & the dessert. They have valet parking in the Last Carrot parking lot for $10 flat rate. The lot across the street is $10 per hour. So definitely valet.

Yelp
This was the second stop on our progressive Coconut dinner tour the night before our cruise ship departure. Confused on the high ratings though. Ambience is very pretty and after being seat in the back room, it was very cozy with all of the tables squished in there. The cioppino was a fair portion but the flavor was lacking. My pasta with a squid ink sauce was odd too. The bread and olive oil were quite good though. Service was polite and attentive. Table options outside were full when we left close to 11pm.

Yelp
This is a meal I will remember! On a brutally hot and humid night, a cold bottle of rosé was a great start to a delicious meal. We shared the frittura mista and it was perfect- crispy, a perfect mix of smelts, baby octopus, shellfish and seasonal vegetables. Great for sharing!! I ordered the tagliolini vongole with the addition of the sea urchin. It was one of the best pastas I've eaten, perfectly balanced. My husband's tuna rigatoni reminded him of his grandmother's cooking. The service was pleasant. We typically eat quickly but we were able to take our time here. The space is beautiful and lively and I can't wait to return!!

Yelp
Cute little Italian restaurant situated in the heart of Coconut Grove! My boyfriend and I finally tried this place for a date night and we were not disappointed. The service was fast and friendly and the food was great! We could have done without the appetizer we selected, but only because we did not realize how many fried things it came with. The pasta on the other hand was very fresh and tasty. The place itself is very small and not the most comfortable, but it's a nice change of pace to other restaurants in the area. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to Sapore Di Mare numerous times, and it never disappoints. The food here is super delicious. The seafood always tastes incredibly fresh, and the pasta is equally impressive. The service is generally great, though there have been rare instances where it could be a bit rude, but these are few and far between. The restaurant is small but cozy, with a decoration that is perfectly on point. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I absolutely love this place and will keep coming back. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We were wandering round coral gables looking for a place to eat. I had spied Sapore Di Mare on our drive in, and we happened by it. We decided to give it a try and boy are we happy that we did. This was absolutely one of he best meals we have ever had at a restaurant, and we're frequent diners! Three of us enjoyed a leisurely 2 1/2 hour dinner, sitting at one of the outside tables, and from appetizer through dessert, every dish was a masterpiece. Our waiter sounded like the chef himself describing all of the dishes, I don't think we've ever had a more knowledgeable server. We shared everything, the the burrata w/ prosciutto, carpaccio de branzino, and the razor clams for appetizers, rigatoni putanesca, tagliolini di mare, and the tagliolini vongole for the main course, and an outstanding tiramisu, amalfi lemon cake, and a pistachio parfait, after which, the chef, who was amazed that we had eaten every morsel (the portions are generous, but not obscenely large) sent out a round of his limoncello, to cap off a night to remember. You should go there!

Yelp
Authentic Italian in the middle of Grove. What took me so long to try it?! Simple but warm ambiance, very well prepared meals, huge (HUGE) portions and impeccable service. Note to self not to over order next time. You can easily share an entree and one appetizer can cover 3-4 people.
google avatar

Yelp
Cozy ambiance and yummy food! I came here for an early dinner with my mom around 5pm on a Saturday- this is a great place to take a parent. It has a bit of a classic old school restaurant vibe. We shared the endive salad, I had the scallops and she had the octopus. The food took a bit longer than expected to come out (maybe 25 min for the entrees) but it was ok because it's such a nice place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The food was delicious, the endive salad was a standout to me because it was so uniquely presented.

June T.

Yelp
Best service, great food! Highly recommend. Have been there several times and they are consistently severing delicious food.
google avatar

Dina P.

Yelp
This spot was delicious! It was recommended through a coworker and did not disappoint we had a prosciutto 9/10, cacio e Pepe 9/10 and a brisket over risotto 7/10. Over all it was a great experience and very authentic like.
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
The food was delicious which is why I put two stars but the service was not the best. Server said the reason the bread wasn't ready was because they were making it then came back and said it was frozen. Minutes later I see a cockroach on the wall right next to me. Definitely a dealbreaker and I would not go back. Horrible first experience.

Maura F.

Yelp
From the food that you can never go wrong with any of there dishes. The service is always excellent and the Ambiance is always delightful. Highly recommend whether week days or weekends, lunch or dinner always amazing.

Yelp
This is one of those places that is always packed, and for good reason! Although I have lived in Miami for many years, I was surprised to have never heard of this place before. And now that I have been, it will be a go to recommendation for me. Known for their seafood, there is plenty of options for those who would like to imbibe in the ocean's treats. Pay attention to how much you order: the plates are quite large. The fried seafood appetizer, for instance, can easily feed two people as addition itself. We made the mistake of ordering it as well as two other dishes: it was too much food! With a seafood appetizer, we moved to a vegetarian and meat dish. I loved that the food came out piping hot. It is a pet peeve of mine when food comes out lukewarm. But the pasta was so delicious. The waiter told us that it was homemade. I have to say that the food is wonderful, but the service was just as great. Constant attention from various folks, all of whom were very happy to make your evening special. Very large kudos to the whole team. Make this a date night!

Yelp
Horrible. This place took a major loss after Veronica left. The amount of times I have been here is excessive and almost unhealthy. The management has gone from a solid 20/10 to a -200. The hostess and the manager were beyond disrespectful. We walked in for an 8pm reservation requesting a specific table. Upon walking in, we are greeted by the hostess who denies to seat us immediately without checking for our reservation. I had to pull up the reservation on my phone and insist she check her system. The table I requested was seated by walk-ins over my reservation. The hostess sends the manager over, whom was either MORE disrespectful. We agreed to be seated at another table inside however the manager said she can only sit us outside, keep in mind it is POURING!! The food. There is only 1 thing I religiously come here for and it's the cacio Pepe cheese wheel pasta with Truffle. I was here two weeks ago, and requested my usual order. My truffle pasta has always come with SHAVED TRUFFLE. Tell me why I received a plate of melted cheese with some pasta, and the truffle came JARRED IN OLIVE OIL. 300 dollars for 3 plates of pasta and an appetizer. I will say our waiter was the best thing that came out of this dinner however it is safe to say I will NEVER come back here again.

Yelp
Went here because a colleague highly recommended it, and we were not disappointed. We ordered the Tagliolini alle Vongole and Cacio E Pepe for takeout. They were mouth-wateringly delicious and the food was ready on-time. Looking forward to going back and dining in next time. The place has a nice local vibe and friendly, helpful staff.

Yelp
Angel is a wonderful server. Very personable, professional and knowledgeable. Love the ambiance. Cute little quaint spot. The food is ALWAYS on point. So great. So authentic. We've been here several times now and look forward to coming back.

Yelp
This little slice of magic in the grove offers a culinary journey through Italy. The service was impeccable. We started with the iconic Cacio e Pepe with truffle, this was served from a cheese wheel at the table. The pasta was amazing with creamy cheese and such a good mix with the truffle. The Bucatini with succulent Wagyu beef was delicious as well. Notably, they cater to dietary needs, offering gluten-free pasta options without compromising on taste or texture. This inclusive approach ensures that all guests can indulge in the culinary delights without hesitation. From the warm welcome at the door to the attentive staff catering to every whim, the dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We can't wait to return!

Yelp
I absolutely loved our experience at Sapore di mare!! I came across this spot for the first time this past weekend and I am so happy we did. My friend and I were looking for some seafood and an Italian fare and this is exactly what Sapore offers. Everything we ordered from the menu was delicious! Look at the pictures for details. We ordered 2 bottles of wine with our meal and we could have had 2 more! We didn't want to leave! We ordered the carpaccio branzino. The squid, their famous pasta served inside a parmesana wheel and a nice salad on a bed of spinach with grilled shrimp. The service was immaculate! The ambiance has a homie feelings this is thanks to the lady who keeps it all together, if she's not the owner then she definitely deserves lots of recognition. She is the life of this place. So personable and happy. She really lights up the place. It's safe to say we will be back.

Yelp
The food is amazing! The taste is incredible, great service as well. We have try different dishes and they never disappoint.

Yelp
Sapore Di Mare is one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove, and the closest thing to Italy that you can get outside of Italy. Their cheese bowl truffle pasta is out of this world. The authentic food and high quality ingredients don't come with a cheap price tag, but it is still a wonderful place to dine. They have live music and ocean themed decor, which fits the nautical vibe. Our server was attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed at all times.

Manny F.

Yelp
Good food. A bit small location and sometimes difficult to get a reservation. Good service and friendly

Yelp
Cute little spot that serves good Italian seafood. Felt like I was a million miles away from Miami.

Yelp
The food was good. Just had arrived from Italy and I actually felt this restaurant was a nice Italian place. Although my family of 5 had to sit in a corner squeezed in between other clients. Tables were very close up to one another.Well it's not worth it... to pay a $300 + bill while sitting in such an uncomfortable position . Gifts were underneath the table. Purse didn't fit. How can they ask for so much from a tiny place?
google avatar

Isabella K.

Yelp
Otro Día de la Madre, otra visita a nuestro lugar favorito, ¡y una vez más, Sapore di Mare no decepciona! La comida merece 100 puntos, y la atención es siempre excepcional. ¡No podemos esperar a volver!

Yelp
WOW! This restaurant is amazing, super authentic Italian pasta and the quality was outstanding. We ordered the carpaccio di carne for appetizer, it was perfect and fresh. For our entree we got truffle pasta, they prepared it for us table side, it was a 10/10 experience and you can actually taste the truffle unlike other restaurants! The highlight of our dinner was dessert, they had pistachio cheesecake & ice cream as the special of the day, and oh my goodness we did not leave not one crumb left. Service was great, our waiter was very attentive and nice. The ambiance is super cute and intimate, would definitely be back to try more options from their menu.

Yelp
Sapore di Mare is located in the grove. We came Sunday night without a reservation, as it was our first time, and decided to eat here thanks to the great reviews it has. The restaurant is small and cozy so it can get a bit crowded but the host/owner(?) was very polite and found us a table. This place has delicious food that includes perfectly Al dente pasta made in-house, a great assortment of fresh fish and seafood, and attentive service. We ordered the burrata & prosciutto di Parma for starters. We also ordered the Impepata di Cozze, two Tagliolini Sapore di Mare, Agnolotti di Fico and the tagliolini Nero e capesante. The food was outstanding! Al-dente pasta with super fresh seafood. Perfectly seasoned and delicious!! The burrata was fresh and the prosciutto melted in your mouth. The mussels were plenty, fresh, and super delicious Definitely give it a try!

Yelp
We had a rez for 8 the day before Valentines and the place was very busy. We saw the hostess and they took us to the back of the restaurant where they added more seating. The two servers back there seemed weeded and we weren't attended to for a little bit, to the point where we had to ask for at least some water and menus or to move inside. They didnt have anything available inside so we sat and waited to have service. The owner I think said we could have dessert on the house for being ignored which was very nice. We knew once we were attended to there would be great service, but were unsure why we kept getting walked past. After that, all was well! The food was divine as pictured! We shared a glass of cab, house wines were a little pricey all around $15 a glass, because we were really there for the food. The bread was amazing as well as my partner's dish, the oso bucco ravioli, not pictured. I'd love to return and try more of the menu!

THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN MIAMI! Just come here and prove it for yourself! All the seafood is super fresh, pasta is perfectly done, staff super friendly and desserts decadent. Super worthy to give a try and enjoy delicious Italian food, try to make reservations since the place is very small

Yelp
Food was good. The nutella biscotti desert was delish. Service could use improvement. Lots of waiting and uncertainty with directive but everyone was very sweet! Will try again.

Yelp
A small cozy restaurant that makes it feel like everyone is family and at home to fill the ambience. The food selection and daily specials were diverse and plentiful with service that was helpful to explain the Italian names. The cacio e Pepe (cheese wheel pasta) was fresh and handmade. They certainly did not miss out on any truffles that I had asked for. Mussels were great and the quantity they gave exceeded our expectations. Certainly a Coconut Grove hole-in-the-wall that I will be returning to!

Yelp
Third time here. Make the reservation already!!! Whattya waiting for? This place is tops. See Vincent, tell him I sent you. Ask about the off menu items. Hint hint. Everything is so fresh, impeccable service. Clean tableware, glasses, attention to detail. I'll be back soon!!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around noon for lunch. Had a reservation just in case it would be too busy, but there was plenty of room at noon. The chalkboard has their specials, which were explained in detail by our server; otherwise they have their paper menu for the food, and the digital kindle-like menu for the wines. I appreciate any place for complimentary bread, but especially love that place when it's good. Got complimentary focaccia for the table--warm, soft, and perfectly seasoned. Got the sparkling water ($7), tagliatelle al ragu ($24), and the risotto special ($39). The tagliatelle al ragu ($24): really shows how a basic dish could be great quality. The pasta had that perfect texture of being slightly firm but tender. The risotto special ($39): definitely stood out to me since it had half of a lobster. What really stood out to me was the creamy seafood sauce that was rich and filled with flavor. Definitely worth trying. Also if you are driving to get here, I'd avoid the parking lot across the street (still paybymobile) because I ended up paying ~$10 for 90 minutes--and only 30 minutes would have been $5. The parallel parking nearby is cheaper ($3/hr) so definitely would recommend that instead. The staff and environment were warm and inviting, adding to a fantastic eating experience. Overall, great quality Italian food, and good service! Will definitely return in the future!

Yelp
My favorite place to dine in the grove! The people are just so great. The food is delicious. Live music on the weekends outside tables. Inside you feel like you're in Italy. The Nutella mascarpone dessert and limoncello to finish is a must.

Yelp
There isn't too many great Italian places around and it's mainly because Sapore Di Mare far surpasses any other option. This is my go to and possibly favorite restaurant in the Grove. The ambiance and atmosphere is super relaxing and inviting. The host and business owner is incredible and super engaging with all the guests. There is usually live music but if not there is great jazz and/or classic Italian music playing which makes you feel as if your sitting countryside along the Italian coast. The breadbasket is delicious and sets the tone for your food experience. Super soft and tasty. I recommend dipping into olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For dinner, we got the Lobster Ravioli and the Truffle Pasta cheese wheel. Super delicious. We wanted more! 5 stars all the way. This is the place to go! Buon appetite

Yelp
This restaurant is a little hidden gem, everything you order is just outstanding. It is a small restaurant so make sure to do a reservation or go early at non-common hours. The owners are always there dancing and making sure the plates are great, which truly creates a more authentic experience. It feels like you are in Italy. I always go with my family for a big weekend lunch, however it is also a great spot for a dinner date. They always have daily specials. The plates are big so I shared with my dad. We ordered the red wine braised short rib risotto. It was one of the best dishes I have ever had, the beef came off the bone with just the fork and the whole dish had a lot of flavor. We got a salad (Insalata dell'orto) which complimented the risotto really well. The cherry on top was the wine, we asked the waiter for a recommendation of a dry white wine and she brought such a tasty wine, it was splendid! Next time I go I would like to try one of their special pastas or fish since they looked delicious from far.

Yelp
Get transported to the amalfi coast at this charming little Italian restaurant, decorated perfectly to suit its name, sapore di mare, with ocean blues and nautical vibes. This restaurant has been around the Grove for some time now but I only had the pleasure of visiting it for the first time late last year and instantly became a repeat customer. From the moment you walk in everyone is so happy and the atmosphere is vibrant. Even though I've tried a handful of dishes from their menu, my one go to dish is always the Cacio and Pepe pasta with truffles. The pasta is made in-house, so light, prepared table side in a cheese wheel, so perfectly seasoned, once served nothing else is needed to enjoy this amazing pasta on your plate. For dessert I recommend the Sbriciolona Lombarda, which is a dessert I don't often see, it's marscapore cheese over crunchy biscuit pieces topped with Nutella, the picture doesn't do it justice for how amazing it tastes. Oh, and let's not forget to finish all this with an after dinner drink, crema di limoncello! The perfect way to end a meal, so much so I had to get a bottle to take home. Grazie Sapore di Mare , Til next time, Ciao!
