The Best Restaurants In North Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"Most Cuban restaurants on Miami Beach can be put into two categories: those for tourists and those preferred by locals. Sazon checks both boxes. The restaurant is great for Miamians who want to eat thick croquetas with a cortadito en paz. And it’s just as great for burnt beachgoers looking for a solid cuban sandwich and respite from the sun. The ropa vieja is tangled in a rich tomato sauce. The white rice is fluffy and salty (but not clumpy). There’s an indoor dining room and a patio out back covered by a big palapa with fans and misters. But the best part is that it’s mere steps away from the beach." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

Google
An excellent experience at this Cuban restaurant! I ordered menu of the day and it was a very pleasant surprise: tender lamb, perfectly cooked, with a rich and well-balanced wine sauce, served with flavorful rice and a hearty bean soup, just like traditional Cuban home cooking. Portions were generous, the price was very reasonable, and the atmosphere was simple and welcoming. Authentic food full of flavor. I would definitely come back.

Google
This is the place to go for a true Cuban experience. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and some days they even have live music, which adds to the charm. I was searching for the perfect spot to try authentic Cuban food, and I’m glad I found it! everything was delicious and the portions are generous, so you definitely leave satisfied. The service was great and the overall vibe makes you want to stay a while. A must-visit if you’re in the mood for real Cuban flavor.

Google
I had an excellent experience thanks to Melina. She was extremely attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead of what we needed. Her service felt genuine — she checked on us at the right moments, kept a great attitude the whole time, and made the entire meal much more enjoyable. The way she handled everything showed real professionalism and care. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel this comfortable and welcome. Melina did an outstanding job, and she absolutely deserves recognition. I’d be happy to come back and be served by her again.

Google
Amazing Food & Great Service! I had such a great experience here! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and made with care. Every dish tasted delicious and came out hot and well-seasoned. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit even better; my waiter Lourdes was great The place was clean, welcoming, and had a nice vibe. Definitely recommend—can’t wait to come back! 🍽️✨

Google
I’m Cuban—born in New York, raised in Miami, and now living in Brooklyn. We visit Miami often to see family, and we eat here regularly, but this is actually my first time writing a review for this establishment. The food has always been excellent, and I’m happy to say, it still is. Tonight, our dishes were strong across the board. Out of the six entrées we ordered, five were spot-on. The ropa vieja was the only miss—flavor was a bit one-note and the sauce a little too watery. But everything else more than made up for it. The palomilla was tender and perfectly seasoned; the vaca frita de pollo was outstanding; and even the simple grilled chicken a la plancha was cooked beautifully. We also shared the vegetarian tamal with onions and a basket of mariquitas—crispy, salty, and as good as ever. Dessert was a highlight. We passed around the tres leches (delicious), the toreja (very good), and a flan that was delicate, elegant, and beautifully textured. Our waitress—a young woman who is pregnant—was exceptional. She was kind, patient, and unflappable while managing a lively table of six loud, overlapping Cuban conversations. The rest of the front-of-house staff was equally gracious, and the chefs in the kitchen are truly delivering. If you want to dine here, make a reservation—the secret is out. This is the spot on Miami Beach for Good Cuban Food.

Google
We visited for our anniversary and stopped in right after arriving in town. Our waitress, Sahili, was incredibly kind and attentive. Service was excellent from start to finish. I loved my drink; the passion fruit flavor really came through and it looked beautiful too. The empanadas were packed with flavor. I tried others around town during our stay and none compared. The Cuban sandwich was also delicious, and the large was perfect for sharing. Truly a great start to our trip. 9/10.

Meghan N.

Google
Delicious food and drinks! Everything was so flavorful-we wanted to try everything but our table was so full already! Our server was so nice and helpful too-we got to take home yummy leftovers and ate them all the following day! Truly a wonderful spot for dinner!

Yelp
food is authentic and amazing. roasted pork and corvino. the only thing better than the food was our waitress (Jessica). Jessica made our lunch amazing with her great energy and friendliness.

Yelp
Every time I'm in Miami, this Cuban restaurant is my first stop. Located right next door to the Cosmo Carillon Wellness Resort, it's my favorite spot in the city for authentic Cuban flavors and comfort food that never disappoints. I always start with the empanadas--crispy, golden, and stuffed just right. For my main course, I can never resist the beef or chicken Cubano style. It's hearty, flavorful, and consistently perfect no matter which one I choose. And to finish, the cheese strudel is an absolute must-have. Flaky, sweet, and indulgent--it's the kind of dessert you'll think about long after the meal is over. Between the welcoming service, cozy atmosphere, and food that feels like home, this restaurant earns its place as my favorite Cuban spot in Miami every single time.

Yelp
This is a staple for authentic Cuban food in Miami. Not the touristy stuff, but the real deal my friends! I was greeted by warm and welcoming customer service during the bustling dinner hours, and seated promptly right away. To get started I ordered delicious beef empanadas. They came with a delicious salsa verde, and the empanadas hit the soul with each warm and flavorful bite!!! You could taste the fragrant seasonings as well! For my main course, I ordered ropa vieja with morros (beans combined with rice) and fried sweet plantains. Ropa vieja is a delicious shredded beef that is covered in a red tomato sauce. The ropa vieja was pure comfort! From the beef that melted in your mouth, to the sweet and savory plantains, to the amazing rice and beans (morros) that added a nice touch to it all. For dessert, I had tres leches cake and that was a home-run for me! Savory and delectable goodness! This place lives up to it's reputation! Check it out! Cheers!

Yelp
I've only visited this place for chicken soup and an orange juice, so my rating is based solely on those two items. I've never dined in, only picked up, but pickup has always been quick and easy. The chicken soup is flavorful and comforting, perfect for when you want something warm and satisfying. The juice is fresh and tasty, exactly what you'd hope for. While I can't speak for the rest of the menu or the dine-in experience, based on these two items alone, I'd definitely stop by again.

Yelp
This was the best Cuban meal of my life. We came for dinner on our last evening of our trip to Florida, wanting a beautiful and delicious Cuban meal right by Miami beach. Sazon did not disappoint. The ropa vieja was tender and succulent. The vaca frita was garlicky perfection, the best I've ever had. The plantains, beans, and rice were perfectly cooked. The drinks were also superb. Atmosphere is up-market casual, and service was excellent. Jose Monroe was the angel of attentiveness, standing at the center of the restaurant and observing for any customer needs. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and succulent. The décor of the restaurant was low key with a pleasing aesthetic, with a very impressive alcohol wall. A walk to the beach, Sazon is the place to eat when in Miami.

Miriam G.

Yelp
Arroz con pollo the best in Miami Beach. The service is very pleasant and courteous . You will not be disappointed no matter what you order.

Yelp
Food is amazing and service is superb. Had the paella which was full of seafood morsels cooked to perfection. Plantains accompanied and were delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Absolutely the best Cuban food in Miami! I love that Sazón sticks to traditional flavors while still plating everything beautifully. Every single bite was packed with flavor, you can really taste the love and heritage in each dish. We had the ropa vieja empanadas, ham croquetas, and ceviche (which was super fresh, though I do wish the fish and onions were cut a bit smaller). The fried snapper and bistec cubano with tostones, rice, and beans were everything I hoped for, perfectly seasoned and comforting. Also, the passion fruit mojito? Probably the best mojito I've ever had. Sazón truly lives up to its name!

Yelp
Wasn't too hungry, so just got a shrimp salad. Wasn't a fan of the black beans but eat everything else. Was much to the salad, but the shrimp was seasoned well

Yelp
We didn't have reservations so we put our name down and waited about 30 mins. We were seated outside in their back patio with live music. It was such a nice festive setting. We ordered: Croquetas bacalao: 4/5 fish croquettes were good and crispy. Spinach empanadas: 5/5 tasty! Churrasco: 5/5 really well cooked and flavorful! Lechon asado: 4/5 good an tasty. Yummy fried skin. Plantains were delicious! Corvina al grill: 5/5 very yummy fish! Great food and ambiance! Highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
This place was amazing! This is my family and my first time in Miami and the food here was such a treat! The servers are so on point and so kind to! The girl who served us has a bright personality and was attentive ! The whole restaurant plays amazing music, and the decor is so comforting. The food it packed with flavor and texture! The ceviche was delicious and the chicken empanadas had a juicy chicken filling! I really loved the rice as well. I would totally reccomend this place and I would love to come back soon! Thank you

Yelp
Stopped by Sazón Cuban Cuisine in Miami Beach and sampled a few dishes to get a feel for their menu. The food was overall flavorful and comforting, with one dish in particular that stood out. Bistec Cubano - 7/10 - Good seasoning and flavor - Cooked well-done without being asked for doneness preference - Could've been more tender (likely due to the cut) - Plantains were soft, sweet, and had a nice charred exterior - Black beans were tasty and well-seasoned Lechón Asado - 7/10 - Tender, flavorful pork - Onions added a subtle sweetness - Slightly better than Porto's version, though very similar Chicken Fricassee - 8.5/10 - Tomato-based sauce was savory, peppery, and slightly sweet - Chicken was tender and soaked up the flavors well - Potatoes and carrots were soft and absorbed the sauce nicely - Not a fan of olives personally, so skipped those Service was friendly and the space had a colorful, welcoming vibe. I'd return for sure--especially for the chicken fricassee.

Yelp
Amazing paella! I wish I came to this place on the day it has all you can eat paella! If you do order paella, do not forget that it takes a long time to cook. The ropa vieja was also very delicious with a lot of flavor! The flavored meats and oils were so good! I highly recommend trying this place for some good paella and Cuban dishes!

Yelp
Really great for big groups, easily say 8 of us in the morning without a reservation. Prices were extremely reasonable especially for the beach area. Food came out extremely quickly and was super tasty! Coffee was 9.777/10, really good!

Yelp
Many Cuban restaraunts in Miami/Miami Beach, but this is the most recommended by locals. A beautiful restaurant in a beautiful spot in Miami that is easy to walk to. We were unlucky enough to go when the music ended and the last barbecue special was gone. I went especially for it, so was a bit disappointed. The menu is fried-food heavy, and I ended up ordering shredded chicken. "Are you sure there is no more BBQ sauce??".No. The service was quick and the inside and outdoor-ish seating was kept clean and intimate- with romantic lighting (TIP: Bring your strong readers if you struggle to read small-print menus in dim light!). The full menu is outdoors and online as well, so you can be prepared. ;) . There are larger tables available for bigger families or groups. It would have been tacky to take photos where we were seated, hence the lackluster display of images. The locals are right though- come early, get the specials, drink in the music and dance to the drinks.

Yelp
High quality food!! Elizabeth and Anahi the best !! Good food good service and very good prices!! Ambiance very nice and some day life music!!

Yelp
The best cuban food place in town. Ariel and his team make your experience unique. Como and meet the gang. This place is awesome.

Yelp
Best Cuban food in Nobe. Nice ambiance and I love the old school Cuban music. My favorite dish is the oxtail with rice and beens, truly authentic Cuban food. Make a reservation.

Aguiar R.

Yelp
Their soup sucks no flavor ironic for a place with the word Sazon in it . Didn't try nothing else but don't order the soup

Monique G.

Yelp
Food was good, breakfast plates won't make you full. They are delicious though!! The ambiance is super cute and we were fastly seated for breakfast service. We arrived at 10am and were served and done with our plates by 11am. Servers were attentive to us. You can dress nice or casual - no limits on how dressed up or down you can be. Regular dining, nothing extraordinary. Friendly.

Yelp
Incredible Cuban restaurant! Must eat in North Miami Beach! Live music and lively decor. Wonderful wait staff with great recommendations. Solid and fresh mojito. The steak was perfect. It was tender but had a seared side with some crunch. Yellow rice is perfect texture. Light and sweet flan :-).

Yelp

Yelp
SO GOOD! WOW. This was my family's first time at Sazón Cubano and we were blown away by the service, food, and overall dining experience. We had paella, mojitos, sangria, and empanadas--we LOVED everything. There is so much culture in Miami and Sazón Cubano embodies this to perfection. I NEED to come back. I WILL. Thank you to the friendly team of talented professionals, you made our first experience memorable and impactful.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic, delicious Cuban food, you have to try Sazon. I recommend you start with their Pina Colada. It is absolutely delicious and comes with a fresh pineapple slice . For your entree, I suggest the Lechon Asado with a side of yellow rice and sweet plantains. The pork is so soft and is roasted to perfection. The yellow rice adds color, and to me, there is nothing like a sweet plaintain. The service was great, but when you arrive you may have to wait for a table, especially at dinner time.
google avatar

Junnay B.

Yelp
This place was so good! Came to Miami for the weekend and wanted to try some Cuban food for the first time. We were excited by all of the different options and definitely over ordered to get a bite of everything. The staff was helpful in helping us decide the food and everything was quick to the table. - Cuban Sandwich (8/10): Super simple but flavorful sandwich and definitely a classic - Churrasco (8.5/10): Definitely my favorite thing as a steak lover! I loved the sauce on the side. - Paella with Pork and Seafood (6.5/10): Good but definitely wasn't my favorite paella. Could have been a bit crispier on the bottom. - Ham Croqueats (7/10): Loved these as well! A bit different from the Spanish kind but overall enjoyed Would definitely go here for a quick bite in Miami or as a good Lunch spot with friends.

Yelp
It feels like the restaurant has been recently renovated. Very cute interior. Our waiter was a bit slow but the food came out quick and was delicious. I had the ropa vieja, it was a good portion too because I took some back home.
google avatar

Leanna S.

Yelp
This place is fantastic for any occasion with moderate pricing. We ordered lots of dishes: beef, fish, chicken and appetizers. All were very good. My children were eating like champs! They have a nice patio on the back with alive music.
google avatar

Sable S.

Yelp
I still love this place! They have updated a lot of things and expanded since my last review. The food is just amazing! They have a lot more items on the menu. $30 for lobster is a steal! The churrasco seems to be larger and is very juicy! The service was pretty good. Our waiter didn't check on us after we got the food but he was still pretty good. Since their upgrades, this place is beautiful! I want to sit on the patio next time. I'll definitely return and I want to try the happy hour and mojito pitcher!
google avatar

Yelp
Good food amazing service and reasonable prizes. Love the place. Go hungry! But they still ask For 85 more characters ????????

Yelp
Was here Sept 6, and This small homage to Cuban food does not disappoint. Food is very tasty, dessert is amazing. Drink not too great. Had a mojito that was not a good demonstration of the typical Cuban mojito. Service is excellent with great hosts and servers paying attention to every detail. Laura was our server and she went far and beyond. Great ambiance, small Cuban cafe restaurant decor.
google avatar

Jhoana E.

Yelp
Food was great. Drinks were ok. Staff was nice. Cute vibe. Would return just for the ropa vieja empanadas!

Vivian I.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. The owner is Argentinian but he figured out how to offer one of the best Cuban cuisine in Miami.

Yelp
All the food we had was delicious! Great atmosphere. Mojito pitcher is great for a group

Yelp
A nice spot for date night- the setting is intimate and there are many choices of wine. We ordered Fried Pork Chunks, Ceviche Cubano, Steak stuffed with cassava and Chicharron. The pork chunks were my favorite- flavorful, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It's an appetizer and for $10 it's def worth it. My least favorite was the ceviche- it didn't taste fresh and wasn't really marinated. The large Cuban was more like 2 sandwiches and definitely a good value- taste was decent but not the best I've had. As for the Steak, I have never had it stuffed with cassava but it was delicious and the slight crisp of chicharron was a great texture. I just wish there was some type of sauce. We also had two sides, yellow rice and plantains were both delicious accompaniments. Service is a little slow overall but if you're looking for a date night meal at a lower cost, come try Sazon.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I wanted to try out some Cuban food and were on the way to South Beach from Fort Lauderdale (where our hotel was). Sazon popped up as one of the top choices and after seeing a few pictures we decided to go here. We came around noon and were seated immediately. I ordered a cuban sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a steak (?) combo plate. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. We asked a worker if she could check on our food but she didn't seem to understand what we were saying and just went back to doing what she was doing. We then had to flag down our server. She told us that no one ended up running our food so it was sitting there for a while. Our food got a little cold because of that so that was really disappointing. Before coming to Miami, we were warned that the customer service here wasn't that great. This was also our first experience with Cuban food. Although it was not too bad we wish that at least the service was a little bit better and food came out piping hot. I would come here again but if I have to wait that long for food again I'm not sure if it would be worth it.

Yelp
EVERYTHING is awesome here. The service is friendly and top notch. Go here with a large crew and everybody should order something different so you can all share! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Sat at the patio bar today for lunch and had a wonderful meal. Such a nice sunny day outside following the brief cold snap this week. Our bartender (Harold) was so genuinely friendly and the food was so good! The ropa vieja was excellent. Would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was a hit! Discovered it on day 1 of a 4 day trip and came back almost everyday! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and the food is incredible! I grew up eating Cuban food and this definitely impressed me. The ropa vieja was outstanding. Excellent drinks too and so fun in the evening with live music and an overall great patio vibe!

Yelp
What a good idea we had to visit Sazón! we visit Miami Beach and mi family and I could walk from our hotel, it was convenient for us on our vacation. The staff is friendly, and the place looks clean. We ordered croquetas de chicken and ham and cheese as an appetizer, they were good. The cocktails were very good. I ordered the small Cuban sandwich but I couldn't finish it, big size. All the food my family and I ate was very good. We will come back!
google avatar

Zentinii T.

Yelp
Service to perfection. Love the Cuban music and ambience! Cleaned, parking across the street. Drinks were delicious! The fish dish was fresh and not too salty.
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
Amazing food! I so look forward to my midwest to Miami visits where one of my absolute stops is Sazon Cuban food on Collins ! Authentic! Fresh! Service is great! If you eat in, you will experience the ambiance of Cuban hospitality. You must go!
google avatar

Nasha P.

Yelp
Have been there twice already and the food is pretty good. Portions are good and if you ask for extra sauce, they will gladly give you more. I always need extra chimichurri lol. I get their corvina with moros and yuca or plantains and it's about $22. It's close to my job so it's great to have option of real food. Service has always been fast so it's helpful when you are in a time crunch.
google avatar

Sandra J.

Yelp
My husband was craving Cuban food tonight and we went to our favorite neighborhood Cuban restaurant, we had a chicken soup, a pan con bistec and batidos of soursop. Service was nice as always , ambience was good, good music and nice people

Jordyn G.

Yelp
Great ambience and food, you have to try the skirt steak!! It's massive. Ceviche is a must have as well.
google avatar

Yelp
OMG! My new go-to for top notch beachside Cuban. I had the Fried Snapper Parguita Frita with boiled yuca and salad. Washed it down with an ice cold Mathuey ale. All the staff showed their true Cuban hospitality skills throughout my dining experience. Delicious food, vibrant music and staff that keeps you smiling! A+

Yelp
The concierge, Morris, at our condo recommended Sazón. We were looking for authentic Cuban food at modest prices. And Morris nailed it. Great food! Fantastic service and live Cuban music!! Friggin awesome!! Highly recommend Savon! Bueno!!

Yelp
Culinary kudos to the Chef at Sazon Cubano today, Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 where we had the best "RABO ENCENDIÓ" (Oxtails) of our lives. The depth of flavors were outstanding and unforgettable. We are still salivating over this meal we had today, besides the superb taste, the staff is amazing and the General Manager, whose name is Ariel, we called him over to complement the food and he is one nice guy full of personality and carisma. Overall, our experiences at Sazon Cubano has always been positive but today they threw the ball out of the park. One final thing, don't forget to order the "Arroz con Leche" (rice pudding) you will talk about it for days. Buen Provecho!
