Schmackary's - Review - Midtown West - New York - The Infatuation

"This quirky Hell’s Kitchen bakery’s biggest claim to fame is their special themed cookies in collaboration with Broadway shows (Glinda’s Cotton Candy, anyone?). The 100 frequently rotating flavors are just as whacky: think Cinnamon Toasted Crunch or Big Apple Crisp. The so-called “Classic,” one of just a few you can count on being available every day of the week, is their chocolate chip cookie. And classic is exactly what it is, with big chunks of semi-sweet chocolate (but not too big, nor too many of them) and a light sprinkling of sea salt. We don’t find ourselves here often, but Schmackary’s is open until 11pm, which makes it a good back-pocket option if you’ve got a hungry young person on your hands who could use a tie-in treat up after the curtain drops." - Molly Fitzpatrick

Where To Eat & Drink Before (& After) Seeing A Broadway Show, According To JoJo - New York - The Infatuation

"“They serve the best cookies I have ever had. I like to go to Schmackary’s if I need a gift, if I'm thinking of them and I'm like, ‘You deserve 12 cookies right now. You've been so good, girl.’ You can't go wrong with their chocolate chip. But what I love about them is that they'll do cookies that are associated with different shows. They had one for Shucked, which was one of my favorite shows that I saw in 2023. It was a really good corn cookie—it had corn and cornflakes and all that stuff. They had one called The Hummingbird, which was my favorite—oats, pineapple, coconut, banana, toasted pecans, and a Southern cream cheese frosting. That plus a coffee, that's all I need.”" - brennan carley

The Cookies That Starred in ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Are Coming to San Diego | Eater San Diego

"I first encountered a viral East Coast cookie when Schmackary’s was name-dropped throughout season three of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building and featured memorably in the scene where Paul Rudd’s character ruefully gobbles a cookie decorated with the cursed “Death Rattle” logo. Founded by aspiring actor Zachary Schmahl in his Hell’s Kitchen apartment, the shop opened a storefront in NYC’s Theatre District in 2012 and is known as the “official cookie of Broadway,” often producing limited-edition themed cookies to tie in with big stage performances. Its menu rotates through more than 100 flavors, with bestsellers like Funfetti, Cookie Dough, Sweet Corn, and Caramel Apple Crisp. After beginning to franchise in 2023, the brand is working with San Diegan Sharian Lott to open a San Diego storefront paired with a West Coast production facility expected by the end of 2024." - Candice Woo

Damn these are good cookies. Particularly the ones with savoury elements like the Maple Bacon. There’s a great balance of salt and sweet and the cookies are the right level of crispy and chewy. They also stayed fresh for a couple of days while we worked our way through them!

Went on a saturday night. The Classic: texture is good but too much salt. The salt shouldn’t overpower the chocolate in my opinion. Key lime: Pretty decent, good frosting to cookie ratio, smells very strong but the key lime pie taste is mild. Earl grey lavender tea (?): Tastes just like lavender, not my favorite but I’m not big into lavender anyways lol. Cookie dough: Raw cookie dough on a baked cookie, not sure what i expected., but i personally donr like the combination together. White chocolate; very mild white chocolate flavor and kind of salty? Peanut butter: my favorite, strong peanut butter taste and great texture. The Hangover: feels like a combination that should work but just doesn’t. The chips really throw me off. 2/10 for me, fun to try once I guess but wouldn’t come back. My boyfriend also tried it and said they were the worst cookies hes ever had, he didn’t like any of them :(

Google
We tried the classic, chocolate crunch, and a Blondie. I went for the classic, but honestly it was a little too sweet for me. My sister, on the other hand, loved her chocolate crunch cookie!

Freaking love this place! It’s my absolute favorite way to wrap up an evening on Broadway! They stay open late, have quick friendly service, but best of all… AMAZING SWEET TREATS!!!! Did you know they do partnerships with lots of Broadway shows?! How cool is that?? And now they serve ice cream! The funfetti ice cream sandwich is top notch. Sweet, salty, crunchy, soft, smooth, refreshing. Hits a lot of flavor magic for me. 🤤🤤🤤🍪🍪🍪

Stopped by Schmackary's early on the way to get bagels. The cookies looked too good to wait until a more reasonable time. The store is clean and well-kept. The young lady who came to take my order was prompt and efficient. Beyond all of that, the cookies are delicious! Got the corn and the limited time strawberry rhubarb. Both are excellent! Fully baked but still soft, flavorful and well structured. Don't waste your money on mass-produced, under-baked Crumbl! Schmackary's unique flavors and superior baking is completely worth it.

Google
Tried this on a recommendation from a YouTuber. We really enjoyed our ice cream sandwich. We did ours with the peanut butter cookie and the snickerdoodle. It was very big and we split it. It was a nice little treat for the tel of us. The peanut butter cookie was very tasty. The snickerdoodle cookie was a baked a little more than I like my cookies but that is all personal preference. It was clean and the employees were nice.

Google
I have tried their hot coffee a few times and have not been pleased. I tried their oatmeal-butterscotch cookie and found that the oatmeal flavor did not come through. The result was a mild flavored butterscotch cookie. I also tried their Humingbird (icing topped) cookie and found it to be good.

Genevieve Dunn

Google
tried 5 different cookies and they were all great. the limited strawberry rhubarb was really good. the cookies have a nice balance of chewy/soft and crunchy texture. funfetti cookie was my personal favorite. peanut butter banana was also good.

Yelp
While out to eat decided to look for something sweet and came across Schmacksry''s. A short walk from 42nd street the cute little shop is located on 9th Ave. There is seating both indoor and outdoor. The shop isn't huge, the line wraps around. There are lots of cool posters and signs up on the walls and the shop feels comfortable. The cookies are HUGE!!! The display has all the different flavors which change. I decided on a butter pecan cookie while my brother decided on a dulce de leche. White waiting for our order my brother noticed the sign for the cookie butter tres leche. We decided fuck it and went ahead and added it on. The cashier was really nice and told us we lucked up in getting the last tres leche available which we were excited to try. The tres leche was AMAAAAAZING!! Not overly sweet, lots of the milk covering it and the cake texture and flavor was amazing. A solid 10/10. And you couldn't beat the price at $4.75. It also was a great portion size which we shared. The butter pecan cookie was also AMAAAAZING!!! It's filled with little butterscotch chips, pecan pieces. It's salty it's buttery and it's oooh soooo good. The size was huge and it was definitely satisfying. If ever I'm in the area I could definitely see myself finding my way back.

Yelp
This is a bakery that specializes in cookies, which is my favorite dessert ever so I was pumped to try it. My friends and I got a few different flavors to try. Classic chocolate chip: this was what I would imagine a stereotypical homemade chocolate chip cookie to be like. Nothing crazy, not super thick like Levain, just your classic CCC. 6/10 Ginger: this had the classic gingerbread spices and a nice sugary glaze that cut the spicy flavor. 7/10 Oreo (green Elphaba): I love Oreos/cookies and cream but found this one a little too sweet with the icing. 5/10 Monkey something? Forgot the name but it's the one with the banana: this one had oats and toffee chips I think. Reminded me of banana bread. Loved the texture. 7.5/10 White chocolate macadamia: classic, nothing that particularly blew my mind. 6.5/10 I did find all of these on the sweeter side for cookies. But I like that they rotate the flavors daily. It's a good spot if you just want some classic cookies.
google avatar

Yelp
The cookies here are crunchy with good flavor, though a bit on the salty side. I tried the White Island, a white chocolate macadamia nut and coconut cookie, which was tasty but also quite salty. My friend had the Red Velvet cookie and found the frosting too sweet--it might be better without it. The cookie was soft in the middle and crispy on the edges. The staff was super nice and friendly. They even picked out a cookie with fewer white chocolate chips for me since I'm not a big chocolate fan but still like to indulge a little. The service was quick and attentive. The store has a friendly, family-oriented vibe with limited seating options, both inside and outside.

Yelp
Schmackary's was really good! Loved the variety and the thinness of the cookies. We got chocolate chip, oatmeal, cookie dough, and one with potato chips. Also got ice cream which was really good! My favorite was the cookie dough. These were one of the best cookies I had while visiting NY. Service here was super friendly as well!

Yelp
We tried this cookie shop eight years ago, my niece loved it so much she has been following them on social media since that time. Obviously we had to make it one of our first stops on this recent trip. We had great timing, as there was no line when we arrived but as we were leaving one had started to build. The individual working was very friendly, and patient as we made our selections. I was a little disappointed in the cookie options that day but we ordered several. The red velvet was good, but the icing was too sweet. The dolce de leches Brownie lacked flavor, and was dry but the icing was delicious! The Santa Slay was good, but left a lingering taste of almond. We also tried the White Island, which was delicious.

Yelp
The best cookies in NYC, Schmackery's got famous after being featured on Hulu's Only Murders in the Building. A theater district legend, the cookies here are warm, soft yet crunchy...the perfect ratio of cookie to chip. Flavors vary so check the menu. There's not a lot of room to settle in but get a cookie and coffee and enjoy! They just added a Union Square outpost. Staff is very helpful. Colorful signs, murals, and plaques add to the ambiance. Worth the trip!! Enjoy!

Yelp
Ordered: 2 Cookies (~$7) -The Classic: semisweet chocolate chunks + a touch of sea salt -Peanut Butter Cup: dark cocoa, peanut butter, peanut butter chips, semi-sweet chocolate Aya's take: I've heard about Schmackary's for years and was in the area and decided to finally give it a try! The prices are reasonable compared to other cookie spots in the city and these are more "classic" style as opposed to the thick cookies many spots tend to do now. Don't get me wrong, I love a good cookie either way! Both cookies were good but I preferred The Classic. You can't go wrong with a solid chocolate chip cookie. I wish these were warmed up or at least given the option to (I'm not sure if they do that). The cookie was fine as is but I think would've been exponentially better if it was warm and gooey. Good try!

Yelp
I love schmackary's but tonight was not the quality I know and love. I got so excited with the aroma wafting in the street and the variety that waited for me. The cookie I got was overly sweet and too crunchy. Almost a bit stale... hoping this was an off night.

Yelp
We decided to bring some treats to share on our flight back home so we picked up some cookies at Schmakary's. I heard we are getting a Schmakarys in California?! Anyways, we ordered a variety of cookies to share.... The Classic -chocolate chunks and sea salt. Cookies & Cream- Oreos / Dark Cocoa / Homemade Vanilla Frosting Dulce de Leche - homemade dulce de leche caramel and dusted with cinnamon sugar. Oatmeal Scotchie -oats, creamy butterscotch, vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon Sch'mores - honey graham base, chocolate chunks and topped with roasted marshmallow Peanut Butter Cup -semisweet chocolate and crunchy peanut butter Turtle Snaps -chewy caramel and semisweet chocolate, with toasted pecans and a dash of sea salt. Apple crisp cookie I think all the cookies in general were yummy. I don't think you can go wrong with any choice. My favorite out of all of them was probably the Turtle Snaps and apple crisp. Traveling to California, the Sch'mores did not do well as the cookie stuck to the paper. We shared cookies with the crew and they loved it too.

Yelp
This place has the best cookie shop vibes. I love the ambiance at the front of the store and the atmosphere inside. It's fun and delicious with creative flavors and perfect texture. I always order milk with these cookies. I love the "Peanut Butter After Dark" - it's chocolate and peanut butter with Reeses Pieces - YUM!

Yelp
My family and I were visiting from out of town. We asked our Lyft driver to recommend a few spots. He pointed out that this cookie shop is the best. Sure enough he wasn't lying. It is definitely the best cookies we've ever had hands down. Let's just say cookies never even made it back to SF. We've tried so badly to bring it home but it was just too good. The shop is cute and cozy I loved it so much I didn't want to leave.
google avatar

Yelp
My 3 favorite things in one- s'mores, cookies & peanut butter. So good and soft! Could tell it's a local fav with a few people there
google avatar

Carina H.

Yelp
These cookies were still chewy and still tasted fresh for 1 day -- can you believe it? The Classic honestly might be the definition of a perfect chocolate chip cookie. The Wizards Brew and Caramel Apple Crisp are both unique flavors that aren't overly sweet. The service was quick, so my friend and I were in and out in no time. There wasn't a long line or too many people after dinnertime, which was a good thing because the shop was pretty small.
google avatar

Lani N.

Yelp
While there seem to be a few locations I went to this Schmacmary's which was pretty busy on a a Friday night with a line out the door. Once I made it inside I got to see the cookie options available while listening to some fun music. The staff seemed to be pretty busy and moved everyone through the line pretty quickly. I enjoyed the Strawberry Rhubarb and Classic Chocolate Chip to be great but wasn't a huge fan of the Oatmeal Scotchie.
google avatar

Marisol E.

Yelp
Great cookies!!! Wanted something sweet, and we found this cute place on yelp. They have a variety of cookies, drinks, and a few pastries. We ordered the cookies and cream, the chocolate chip, and the white chocolate macadamia, and the carrots cake slice. My husband wasn't a fan of the carrot cake, but I really enjoyed the cookies. They were soft and chewy in the center, and a little crunchy on the outside. The employees were very friendly and welcoming. The place is tiny, so if it gets busy, the line might extend to the outside.
google avatar

Nuvdeep D.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this shop by chance. Was just walking by and saw a line out the door sans was intrigued. Despite the long line, I was in and out within a few minutes. I got the classic chocolate chip cookie and it was AMAZING. It was the perfect thickness, crunch, and softness I like in a cookie. It also had a light sprinkle of sea salt on top which complimented the chocolate so well. I would highly recommend if you're in the area. Or like me just walking by and intrigued by a line up.
google avatar

Yelp
Even after all the years these cookies are so darn tasty. After attending an off Broadway event tonight I dropped in for a treat to take home. The chocolate cookie with peppermint frosting and the chocolate hot spice cookie were my choices and both were delish! What's even better was that it was 2 for 1 tonight! Score!
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
Stopped by again for a much needed cookie and their rotating flavors. The line moved quick and service was friendly. I got the chocolate covered pretzel cookie, which even the next morning was chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cookie had just the right amount of chocolate and salt. The store is always a bit loud and crowded so try not to bring a ton of bags with you or people who aren't getting cookies.
google avatar

Dan A.

Yelp
Delightful cookies, consistently friendly staff, and a charming space with a perpetual line - we always stop before a Broadway show. Food: The cookies, particularly those with icing, are absolutely fantastic - a delightful treat that keeps me coming back for more. Service: The staff consistently provides friendly and welcoming service, creating a positive and enjoyable experience. Ambiance: While the space is small, the bustling atmosphere and the line out the door indicate the popularity of the place, contributing to its charm and appeal.
google avatar

Sarin P.

Yelp
This place was recommended to me as having one of the best chocolate chip cookies in the world. I will say it did not disappoint! I also ordered a "devil's food cake" cookie, which I found to be too dense.
google avatar

Debbie S.

Yelp
WOW I got to try an Oreo cookie and also a peanut butter one and they were both 100/10!!! Some of the best cookies I've ever had and I'm a cookie snob. Oreo - wow you could taste the butter, hint of salt, layer of Oreo, cocoa cookie base... incredible!! Peanut butter - the absolute perfect texture, sweetened, peanut butter flavor and nutty texture. Amazing!! Can't wait to try more!!
google avatar

Jonah W.

Yelp
Picture this: You've just seen a Broadway show, one of the most enriching cultural experiences of your life. You and your friends emerge from the dark theater and return to reality. The magic fades and you realize you're hungry. You and your friends need sustenance, but you also want to discuss the show while it's fresh in your mind. Enter: Schmackary's. 10 minutes from the main drag of the Theater District, this is the perfect spot to grab a post-show treat and share your thoughts and reflections. Most cookies are under $4 and baked to perfection. They're big enough to serve as a mini meal, or to have half as a snack and save the rest for later. I had the peanut butter cookie, but I recommend the mint mojito cookie that my friend ordered. Indoor seating is limited to 4-5 counter seats, but there are a few sidewalk seats available as well.
google avatar

Lara G.

Yelp
Amazing cookies! Love love love the variety of flavors. I think I might have to figure out how to create a spicy chocolate cookie of my own after tasting the Mexican Hot Chocolate cookie. And I can't say enough how amazing the hangover cookie is with everything from chocolate chips to oats to raisins to potato chips. Its a beautiful bite of texture and flavor. Go before a show and you won't regret it.
google avatar

Suzy L.

Yelp
This cookie place is the cookie place to visit in NYC. Everything about Schmackary's was wonderful. The location is a 10 minute walk from Time Square and down the street from some of your favorite theaters. The service was amazing and fast. There was a line but it went by fast. We sat by the window on some stools and ate our cake with coffee. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Tres Leches cake and a latte. The cake was moist and full of pumpkin spice flavors. Loved everything. I definitely need to go back for the cookies.
google avatar

Maggie B.

Yelp
I'd heard good things about this cookie shop and was excited to give it a try. It was bustling on a Sunday night, but the line moved quickly. They have quite a few flavors to choose from. The funfetti was topped with cream cheese frosting. It was satisfyingly soft in the center, but a bit too sweet overall. I loved the hummingbird. It had oatmeal, as well as cream cheese frosting and was rich and buttery. My boyfriend got the cookies and cream and enjoyed the texture. Their cookies are flatter than some similar options like Chip City or Culture, but definitely a worthy alternative.
google avatar

Selina S.

Yelp
Loved that this place was open late because I had a late night craving. There was a line, which told me that the cookies must be good, but it went pretty quick. I am so upset at myself I didn't take any pictures because I they were so good. I had the white chocolate Macadamia, the chocolate coconut caramel, and my husband had the smores cookie. They were all so yummy. I am so sad I didn't take any pics. Place looks very nice and clean and the employees were kind. The cookies were dense and fudgy, but quite sweet, which was exactly what I was craving.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
A great cookie in NYC! Definitely on the sweet side, but the flavors are all intense and come through beautifully. Always aim to grab a cookie when going to a show. They rotate flavors weekly (check website) and I had the white chocolate matcha, which was wonderful.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
I'm hesitant to trust highly rated places located in midtown because they typically have higher reviews due to the foot traffic and tourists concentration but this place was 11/10 all the way. The cookies have different flavors everyday, I had the chocolate mocha, the funfetti and the regular chocolate chip cookie and they were all SO good. Each bite was a new experience for me and each cookie is $3.25. A STEAL!!! If you come in late hours before close it's buy 1 get 1 free and it's rare to find something this good in New York for that price. I'm so spoiled living next to a levains so I had high expectations. Think of this cookie as an American style pizza while levains is deep dish. Both equally good, just different styles. Personally I like the flavor variety more at Schmackary's (the funfetti is amazing if you love cake batter which I do). I absolutely would return to this place. The amazing service is the cherry on top!
google avatar

Jose E.

Yelp
Hey Schmackary's . Hope you are well. Listen, I know this isn't the location I want to review yet, but I would like to review the cookie recipe overall. The cookies aren't very good. Please don't open up the Englewood location. It's not worth it. The chocolate chip cookies at ShopRite and McDonald's are much better. Just saying what people have told me Love , Jose E

Yelp
OK, so a place in NY dedicated entirely to cookies AND has a line out the door (albeit of a tiny store) at prime dinner 6:15pm time on a Sunday? They definitely have good marketing, with a cute drawing sign outside, a cutely designed menu and intriguing flavors. I got 3 cookies: the Apple Crisp, Sweet Yam and Cookies & Cream, which came out to $10.75 (1 for $3.75, 2 for $7). *The Apple Crisp disappointingly had more flavors of oatmeal, white chocolate and caramel than apple, which could hardly be detected at all. The *Sweet Yam was an interesting consistency, with it being made of cornmeal, and a hint of yam, with a marshmallow cream on top - just OK. *The flavor I found the most commonplace, yet could not resist, the cookies & cream, ended up being my favorite, with the chewy consistency, the Oreo-ness of it, but the frosting unnecessarily sweet. I liked that the packaging was light, just wax papers between to cookies to prevent sticking, in a bigger paper slip. The lady picking out the cookies for me was a bit "what do ya want" vibes, but the girl who rung me up was friendly, even taking the time to answer my question about how long the cookies keep with a smile. Overall, glad I got to try Schmackary's, with its unique flavors and store vibe, but ultimately it was waaay too sweet for my palate/I didn't love the execution.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
If you're around the Theater District area, not stopping by this original hole in the wall would be a crime. Whether you have a sweet tooth or not, you will walk away never forgetting some of the best cookies in New york. Everything from bacon flavored to Dolce leche to Spicy Chocolate brownies, you'll find at least one flavor that leaves you satisfied. The only issue is most of the time the lines are quite long, so be prepared to have a bit of a wait. Oh yeah, consider your calory count blown away for the day. Enjoy it!

Yelp
We currently live in Utah - the home of sugar! Since living there we have discovered people's vise is sugar. Utah is the home of cookie shops. All that said, I have had cookies! So to NYC and the Schmackary: Cookies are all about preference. I like fat, chewy cookies. Schmackary's cookies are thin and not as chewy. They're not crispy, but they're not chewy. All that to say I was only so-so on these cookies. I will say the staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful when deciding which cookies we wished to purchase. So kudos on a good hiring. We got the chocolate chip and the peanut butter after dark cookies. Both of their favorites were fine and "hit the spot" for some sugar.

Yelp
Delicious cookies, rotating menu of a variety each day. Quick service. Busy festive hungry ambiance.

Yelp
My neighborhood cookie shop. Friendly staff always and very creative flavored cookies. Too many to mention but cookies with bacon, chunky monkey, red velvet, coconut chocolate chip, double chocolate etc..ice cream, milk, coffee. Such a nice clean friendly establishment. Don't change a thing..reasonable too

Yelp
Super selection of delicious cookies! Prices were not bad. The hot chocolate is a nice choice to go with your order.

Yelp
Schmackary's cookies were the perfect quick fix to our sweet tooth(s) before seeing a Broadway show. The cookies were outstanding and definitely unable to be replicated in our home kitchen. We got 2 cookies for $7 - they were well worth the price! We will not hesitate to go back the next time we are in the area.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by Schmackary's on Friday, December 29, 2023 before hopping on the subway and calling it a night. Schmackary's first opened in 2012 and is located in Hell's Kitchen. In 2023, they announced they would be franchising to expand the popularity of the cookie shop. We ordered lattes and tea. I ordered a vanilla latte and a chocolate chip cookie. When I asked the employee which cookies are the most popular, he replied without hesitation, "red velvet and chocolate chip." I guess I'll have to come back to try the red velvet. The chocolate chip cookie was one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had - it's soft and gooey. A bit thinner than I'd liked but the taste and consistency were solid! Other popular flavors include caramel apple crisp, key lime, peanut butter cup, sch'mores, fluffer nutter, cookie dough, maple bacon and schmackaroni & cheese. The flavors also include vegan and gluten-free options. They do have a rotating menu of flavors with new flavors coming out all the time. Be prepared to pay almost $4 for one cookie. The service here was friendly and professional. If you're in NYC and have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend checking out Schmackary's! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Schmackary's - a quaint little haven in NYC, perfect for satisfying those afternoon munchies or indulging a late-night cookie craving. This charming spot is a true cookie connoisseur's paradise, offering a delightful array of choices that can make even the most decisive person waver in wonder. On my visit, I was greeted with a kaleidoscope of cookie options, each more tempting than the last. The service was exceptional, with the staff expertly guiding us through the selection, ensuring our cookie choice perfectly matched our cravings. Their recommendations? Spot on - each cookie was a delicious work of art, a perfect blend of flavors and textures. Schmackary's isn't just about great cookies; it's an experience. The cozy, inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to take a break from the city's hustle and bustle. Plus, it's a sweet escape that won't have your wallet crying for mercy. If you find yourself wandering the streets of NYC, Schmackary's is a delightful detour you won't regret taking.

Yelp
I always get lured into coming here cause it so darn popular but I need to remind myself I'm just not that into it. 12-13$ for three too sweet cookies gets me kicking myself after the first bite every time. Service is friendly and it's fun to check out which holiday flavors they have but it is really tough to eat. Flavors seem overpowered by the sugary sweetness. Small shop w a few spots to stand inside or outside but mostly a takeout shop.

Bev J R.

Yelp
The best cookies in NYC. They use to offer 1/2 price cookies the last hour of the day but discontinued that like everyone else have upped their prices or discontinued special deals. Still great cookies and great staff!

Got the stawberries & cream cookie and it did not disappoint. Schmackary's has great cookies - both seasonal and classic. They're relatively big and can be shared (only if you want to)! Not a lot of people but there is a constant flow of customers coming in and out. Great quick stop to fulfill your sweet tooth in the Hell's Kitchen area (dangerously close to "Resturant Row")

Yelp
Always a winner for some delicious cookies! Even coming near the end of the night, they still had a wide selection to choose from.

Yelp
The establishment setting is warm, welcoming, and well-decorated! Their menu offers some of the best flavors like Red Velvet, Funfetti, Classic Chocolate Chip(can never pass on a classic), and my absolute favorite, Peanut Butter Cup! For this visit, I decided to indulge myself in their Funfetti Cookie. This cookie has been in my dreams ever since. I will be returning again very soon to try their Milkshakes! If you love warm, fresh, and rightfully gooey cookies that taste like they're straight out of grandma's oven.. look no further!

Yelp
I've been going here for years - it's my favorite post or pre-show treat. My favorite is the old standby - chocolate chip. I love that it has a bit of saltiness to balance out the sweetness. The employees are friendly and I love when they do theater collabs. I don't eat sweets as much these days but I love picking up a variety for my family - they have so many unique flavors. My favorite thing to do is to go to 5 Napkin Burger next door and then pick up dessert and enjoy the outdoor seating, whether permitted. The one thing I'd skip is their coffee - I'm not a fan of the roasts they use. Maybe I should expect that from a bakery, but it's always way too sweet for me, even when it's just a plain black coffee.

Yelp
Schmackary's is Schmackary's. It's a staple. It's a necessity. It's your next destination. I mean, c'mon, look at that slogan: More cookie flavors than anywhere else. They have over 100 flavors! They don't always have every flavor in stock, but you'll never be left wanting. I recommend the Dulce de Leche flavor.

Yelp
A group of us went here after dinner to have a coffe and some awesome cookies. didn't realize the place was so darn smalll! Also found out it was in the TV Series "only Murders in the Building" Yes I watch the show but had no clue :) anyway we had the PB cookies which were unbelievable. ! Bonus was we met Andrea Martin (actress who plays Joy in the series) while she was waiting on line as well. Will definately be back. Only reason for the 4 stars is there are not enough places to sit.

Yelp
"The chocolate duet was soooooo nomnomnom. It was definitely one of the best cookies i've ever had! It was so squishy and good! I loved the marshmallows and white chocolate inside, they definitely went well with the regular chocolate! Next time I come, (which there DEFINITELY will be a next time) I am gonna try the Cookies and Cream one, it looked soooo nomnomnom." - 9y ld I had the Cereal Killer & that was the best choice for me! Delicious! Great treat after watching a Broadway show.

Yelp
I know that there's a lot of history and I wanted to love Schmackary's cookies, but they were really nothing special. In this city of amazing chocolate chip cookies, I found myself comparing Shmackary's more to a grocery store bought cookie than those from the fabulous bakeries throughout the city. I do contend that there's an element of personal preference when it comes to things like cookies and pizza, but I can always recognize a good cookie even if not my personal preference (I prefer a less doughy cookie than some others). But this is not an issue of personal preference - the cookies here are just lacking to the competition. Do yourself a favor and try one of those instead.

Yelp
We forgot to get pictures of the cookies but we loved what we got. Nice balance of sweet and savory, creative flavor combinations. Coffee made to order as well. The only thing I thought was off putting was the customer sitting at the window facing the street. She vomited in a handled bag as we passed by....
