"If you’re hoping to find a good lobster roll in Plano, this is your first stop — it serves New England- and Connecticut-style rolls. The menu is heavy with lobster (hello, lobster rolls), a solid New England clam chowder, shrimp scampi, and tempting chef’s specials, including baked crabmeat stuffed shrimp and wasabi pea-crusted flounder. It’s not a fancy spot but more an homage to a Northeastern seafood shack — simple with fresh fish, including a fish counter with to-go options. Reservations are available on Resy." - Courtney E. "Using a passed-down family recipe, the father-and-son team of Rich and Ryan Oruch at Sea Breeze in Plano is making gefilte fish for Passover. They predominantly use Lake Superior whitefish and walleye pike, with other seasonal fresh fish added. The shop will offer Sea Breeze gefilte fish in 3-ounce portions for $4.50 each." - Rachel Pinn

Decided to check this place out for a casual date night, definitely did not disappoint! I highly recommend making reservation because it gets pretty busy around dinner time! Everything we got from the pasta to the lobster roll was great! Very flavorful! The staff there were very nice and friendly! We ended our night with the key lime pie, this I could’ve done without. It was mediocre in my opinion, it was way too much crust and it was more of a tart rather than pie. Overall, I would come back here to try other things on the menu!

Google
Awesome place! Convenient location in a small shopping center. Nice menu with multiple options. The tuna nachos, Connecticut lobster roll and lobster grilled cheese sandwich were all awesome! My toddlers loved the lobster grilled cheese and fries.

Before moving away from the DFW area, I used to love picking up lobster rolls from Sea Breeze. I finally came back for the first time in 15 years and was in for a shock to see how much it had changed! They had expanded both the space and the menu, the nautical ambiance is a bit more upscale, and it is now a fully serviced restaurant (before, you ordered at the counter). I made the mistake of not reserving a table on a Saturday night, so we had to wait 45 minutes (but glad to see their business is thriving). No problem, as we just grabbed a drink at a nearby establishment. It was well worth the wait. We ordered both of their lobster rolls (New England and Connecticut), and they were every bit as heavenly as I remember. The quality and freshness of their seafood is evident in every bite, and our waiter was cordial and attentive throughout the meal. Now that my lobster roll craving has been satiated, I'll definitely be coming back to try other seafood items on their menu sometime!

We went to celebrate my Brothers birthday, it was our first time here. The food was fabulous and the price was reasonable. Everything tasted fresh. I got the crab stuffed shrimp with carrots & mashed potatoes. We went next door to the hidden bar after dinner, it was also very enjoyable. Everyone had fun. I love the story of the bar being named after a loving pet. We love supporting family businesses. We will be back. ❤️

Google
I've been here around 20-30 times, and it is great! I LOVE The New England lobster roll. It's my favorite one in The Dallas/Fort Worth metro. They have a bar inside with a good selection of wine and beer. Everyone in my family loves this place and there is always plenty of parking even on a Saturday. They also had a really good pumpkin sage crusted flounder that is seasonal, so if you see it on the menu, then try it! Friendly staff always. I've been going here for around 15 years now, and it never disappoints.

Google
Heard about this place on social media. We went there yesterday and the food was incredible. Everything fresh. Service was excellent as well. It’s hard to find a good seafood place in DFW. Will definitely be back.

Erin Stenzel

Google
What an amazing spot, only made better by the staff and atmosphere. As someone who grew up near water it's hard to find a good "fish spot" in Texas but this is the one. Highly recommend!

Tracy

Google
The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. The lobster paste is highly recommended!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch based on my father's co-workers recommendation. We ordered the calamari to start. It was tasty, but we prefer it to be fried a little harder for a crispier texture. My dad was a little disappointed that we didn't get any tentacles. For our meals, we had fried haddock with fries and hush puppies, shrimp scampi over linguine, and the baked crabmeat stuffed haddock with brussel sprouts and parmesan whipped potatoes. Everything was tasty, but I was pleasantly surprised by the hush puppies and the brussel sprouts. Definitely order both for your side!!

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
Jann was fantastic! We really enjoyed our visit and time with friends while receiving lovely service from Jann. Tips and Observations: Make a reservation if going in a weekend evening Haddock is lovely! There's a small amount of outdoor seating Check their website for details on how to get into the speakeasy! You can order fish filets to go as well as select dips and small bites The food we enjoyed: Hushpuppies Baked crabmeat stuffed haddock Smoked salmon dip Fish n Chips Calamari Berry cobbler Jann's Ice Cream Cake

J H.

Yelp
Excellent food! The appetizers are wonderful. We had the tuna nachos and the bread. For the main course we have had the Atlantic salmon, the crab stuffed haddock, and the lobster pasta. The lobster pasta is very rich! For dessert we had the ice cream which is from a local ice cream maker. All of it was good. Also, Kutter waited on us and did a great job.

Amber C.

Yelp
Wow! Absolutely incredible. The crab stuffed haddock with sides was amazing. It was very flavorful, fresh and the perfect amount of food! Nancy was wonderful and explained items on the menu and was very attentive and friendly. The tartar sauce was great, but I didn't even need it because of the flavor of the dish.

Matthew W.

Yelp
Sea Breeze has my favorite seafood in DFW. To date, I haven't had fresher seafood in the city. One of my favorite parts of this restaurant is the excellent service coupled with the ability to take home some fresh fish from the fish market after your meal. You can't go wrong with the oysters and after a nice dinner you can even head to the Wilfred for some great cocktails.

Yelp
Calling it 'delicious' just doesn't do it justice! Every bite was a full-on flavor party for the taste buds. We kicked things off with the salmon dip, which was super yummy and dangerously addictive. For the main event, I had the stuffed shrimp and haddock (apologies, I'm blanking on the fancy name!) with mashed potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms. Let's just say I came this close to licking the plate clean--enough said! If you're a seafood lover, this place is an absolute must. Btw, we were sitting at the bar, Kelsey is so kind and pleasant. Her service and recommendations were much appreciated.

Yelp
Sea bass was under cooked portions were very small , very disappointing, use to be one of my favorite places

Margo T.

Yelp
We tried this place years ago and went back when I read about the new lounge (The Wilfred) attached. I'm glad we made it back, quite a good dinner! We were seated promptly at our reservation time (it looked almost full at 7pm). We started with some of the piping hot bread with pesto oil. I tried the crab stuffed shrimp, served with two sides, I went with slaw and hush puppies. Quite a tasty dish. I liked the crispy topping and the rich flavorful beurre blanc served with it. The blackened scallops with broccoli & mashed potatoes was also good. Nice seasoning on the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. Nice wine list and the cocktails sounded good. Service was good. Our server was friendly and food came out quickly. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Stephanie O.

Yelp
The food was amazing. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and timely served. Our waiter was friendly, polite and spot on with his recommendations. The ambiance is a little different- being in a strip mall I wasn't expecting such a great restaurant. What a pleasant surprise- making the dress code nice but comfortable

Melody T.

Yelp
This place is amazing, oh my goodness, the food here is such a delight! You can't go wrong with anything that you order, I will say that the fish and chips is the number one thing that I will always order when I go here. I love their desserts. It's a must. You must have dessert when you come here. The customer service is outstanding, this place is packed, and there's a special room for those that know about the special room. Come out enjoy some great fish that's cooked. Super clean made to perfection and comes out pitch perfect.

Maria D.

Yelp
The restaurant was very nice and I loved the murals they had on the walls. Everyone we spoke to, from hostess to waiter, was very friendly and polite. I've never had a lobster roll before and thats why I came. It was very good and the lobster was meaty, but for the price I feel like the portion is small. I was still hungry afterwards. I would come back, but to try something new.

Lam B.

Yelp
We wanted to go to Sea Breeze because we were craving raw oysters. Unfortunately, the oysters were tiny and pricey. Other than that, the food and drinks are pretty good. The Smoked Salmon was delightful and the Hush Puppies were decent. I didn't care much for the Lobster Bisque (no lobster) nor the Rainbow Trout but the Bok Choy and Mushrooms were phenomenal. I could eat a plate of just that. The setting is casual and the staff is super chill. We bought a round for the kitchen which means they can drink at the end of the night. I can't remember the specifics but I sure hope they got it.

Katie H.

Yelp
I have not received such excellent and personable service in YEARS like I did recently at Sea Breeze. They were wonderful with my children, and even brought out a live lobster for them to touch for being so well-behaved. It felt like I was being welcomed into a family. The food was incredible, as well. We will definitely be coming back!

John J.

Yelp
Saturday night at Sea Breeze with friends. Service by Blake in the bar was perfect. He was friendly, funny, and let us set the pace. We started with calamari and mini crabcakes. The crabcake appetizer comes with two, so we upgraded to 4 so everyone could have one. The mini crabcakes were not really mini. We could have shared two amongst the 4 of us if we were willing to cut them in half. The calamari was excellent, fresh, tender, lightly battered and fried. We could have used a bit more for sharing with 4. Everyone's entree was raved about. The tuna was a perfect sear and a huge portion, so some went home. The Rainbow Trout was delicious and came with perfectly cooked French fries and Asian Cole slaw. The steelhead trout was a smaller portion cooked on a plank. Steelhead flavor and texture is very similar to salmon - just fantastic. Had to get the hush puppies again - best in DFW in my opinion (you get about 10, so they would make a great appetizer even if they are not listed in the appetizers). I highly recommend the hush puppies, green beans, cole slaw, tuna and trout. A great evening!

Leigh P.

Yelp
Started dining here when they first opened and never looked back! Fresh seafood always prepared perfectly. Owners and staff are great! My only disappointment is having to make reservations now due to how popular they've become! Our favorites are lobster roll, gumbo, fish and chips, almost any appetizer and the stocked shrimp is outstanding! I've also had most of the baked and stuffed fish offered-never disappointed. Very busy Thurs thru Sat.

Tami K.

Yelp
Great menu! I had the lobster pasta with added scallops. The flavor was great, the portion was generous, even the lobster meat! Caution: it is a heavy dish so pace/portion yourself. We had shared several apps and everyone's favorites were the salmon dip and the tuna.

Alex M.

Yelp
Place is always amazing. Freshest seafood on the west side of Plano. Rick and Ryan are the dynamic duo. Come for the food and cocktails. Then look for the speakeasy. Both part of this business are incredible.

JD M.

Yelp
New for us, we like this place. Casual upscale ambiance, friendly service, good choices on the menu. Shrimp cocktail was excellent. Gumbo was tasty but not my favorite. Papadeaux sets the standard for gumbo for me, and Nate's is a close second. This gumbo has a lot of fibrous ingredients I can't chew, and everything is either very small or diced. The stuffed shrimp was delicious. She had the salmon and liked it. She had Brussels sprouts and spaghetti squash, I had the same and we both loved the sides. Hush puppies were tasty- could use some more spicy heat. I will come back.

Jerry K.

Yelp
Great food at a convenient location. We use the restaurant and the market regularly. For our holiday party, we'll buy 7-10 lbs of their freshly cooked shrimp. Recent dinner had the mussels pot for $18 that was a full pot of mussels in a garlic butter Old Bay soup with bread and a salad. What a great meal! Wife had the Haddock special which she devoured. Servers are attentive and seats are plentiful (reservations are on Resy). Try the attached Speakeasy for cocktails before or after. Get the entry code from the waiters.

Mark Y.

Yelp
Food was excellent, so was the service. Atmosphere reminded me of a fish market in New England

Ava S.

Yelp
Wow! Best clam chowder of my life! And loved the $16 fried haddock. Hush puppies were cold, but the key lime pie made up for it. Very impressed!

Doug C.

Yelp
WOW! Last time here 2015. way overdue so we came for birthday supper for SHE who cashes my retirement check. Friday night lots of friends and family in attendance. Glad we made reservation as by 7pm all the tables were taken. Excellent service and food preparations. Wait staff did great job. Cocktails were yummy. We will try to get back here sooner than later but lots more competition for our supper budget than back in 2015.

Joe F.

Yelp
Ate here with wife midafternoon on a weekday. Place was empty - service very fast, friendly. Wife had a happy hour margarita, excellent. And cold lobster roll - also excellent. I had lobster cheese sandwich & iced tea. We shared a key lime pie. All excellent, with great service. It will cost you, though. For a cold lobster roll w/ cole slaw, lobster/cheese sandwich w/ hush puppies, margarita, iced tea & key lime pie dessert it was $70.

Christy G.

Yelp
We love going to Sea Breeze and sitting at the bar! I always get the Mussels (which are the Best) and it comes with a side salad and they have homemade blue cheese dressing!!! They always have the best fresh fish, service is great, I love supporting local family owned businesses! Great for date night or out with a girlfriend! PS they added a cool speakeasy next door! (BONUS)

Ken T.

Yelp
We ordered a 1.5lb lobster, a fish dish and a lobster roll. The appetizer with 2 tuna nachos and a couple things I can't remember, and the calamari. Everything was mediocre, and too pricey for the portion sizes, food quality, preparation (fish was over done, as was vegetable side. Service was fine. Nice ambiance and vibe.

Jason G.

Yelp
Hmmm....Sea Breeze was a consistent player for seafood...and then...the most recent time I went it smelled fishy and they had had a poor health inspection. So, not much to say here other than avoid this restaurant.

Mary N.

Yelp
If you want Fresh, delectable, fish... This is the absolute best place in DFW! Their Lobster rolls cannot be beat! The atmosphere, the wait staff, the food... it is all TOP NOTCH! We have sampled the shrimp, the tuna, the lobster, scallops, fish & chips, their assorted appetizers tray. All of it was just so good. If you haven't been there, you are totally missing out! Go, what are you waiting for?

Craig N.

Yelp
Made a reservation for my wife's birthday at Wilfred/Seabreeze for 5:30 this evening. When we arrived, on time, we were told that there was a 20 minute wait for Wilfred and that our reservations were for Seabreeze. Didn't think much of it and decided we'd eat at Seabrease and put our name on the wait list for Wilfred. The greeter said she would put us on the wait list for Wilfred for 1 hour. After eating I inquired again, and she said she would check. After another 15 minutes, now 6:45, I challenged here said she either needed to let us in or we were leaving and wouldn't be back. Well, I won't be back. I had the clam chowder and house made smoked salmon. The clam chowder was like skim milk with cubes of potato and the smoked salmon was white and I was done after one bite. I don't recommend wasting your time or money at either of these connected establishments.

Steve B.

Yelp
We love this place. Food is delicious and not overpriced for seafood. Service is usually excellent!

Taj D.

Yelp
I had been craving some seafood gumbo as well as clam chowder so I decided to try it here since the reviews seemed very positive of the food. I have to tell you that I was extremely disappointed. The clam chowder was very watery and didn't offer much flavor. The seafood gumbo was underwhelming as the flavor. You would think that with all of the ingredients added that this would make a great gumbo. But no. I unfortunately will not be going back and will have to continue my search for a great gumbo in the DFW.

Andrea S.

Yelp
This restaurant was tucked back into the back of a shopping center & I wasn't aware it was there! It has fresh seafood & plenty of choices on the menu.

Katina H.

Yelp
Very good flavors. Clam chowder was amazing. No wait on a Saturday. Many different drink options. No Bloody Mary though. Would try again.

Adam H.

Yelp
Girlfriend and I went here for Dinner last Thursday, dinner was fantastic, seafood was super fresh and the drinks were delicious. So pumped to have found this place. It will be our new go to spot and we haven't even been able to try the attached Wilfred!

Tasha J.

Yelp
The seared tuna nachos were good (7/10). Nice, light, and simple yet packed with flavor. The manager took my order and showed me around while it was being prepared. They have a seafood market that I look forward to grabbing some items from on my next visit. Cool little spot with easy access parking.

Mallory P.

Yelp
You can't go wrong here. Everything on the menu is superb! The staff is incredible and we're hitting up this spot at least once a month for the freshest seafood around!!!

Jorin S.

Yelp
An amazing local find, food, drinks, service - all amazing. We had the battered halibut, halibut stuffed with crab, Brussels sprouts and slaw... everything was good

Kristen W.

Yelp
I was hoping this would be something special, but my family was disappointed with the entire experience from food to service. The only truly tasty thing was my son's blackened tilapia. Time to find a better fish restaurant

Brandy W.

Yelp
I adore this place. Its my favorite place for fish and their lemon dill buerre blanc is made of dreams. I could drink it. Everything I've had is amazing. I wouldn't say it's the type of place you go for ambience. Not that it's ugly but with so many instagram worthy places popping up, it's clear they aren't fussy. I would liken the general vibe to the place as where retired old money Plano residents go for the absolute best fish. Don't let that dissuade you from going though, its the perfect low-key, top-tier seafood option around.

Romey B.

Yelp
Our go to spot for seafood in Dallas. The food here is always super fresh and delicious. We always get the smoked salmon dip for appetizers and halibut or salmon entrees. Our only gripe is the non booth seats are a little uncomfortable and crowded, wish this restaurant had more comfortable seating

Jessica L.

Yelp
Waaaay overpriced for what you get. The fish and sides weren't even flavorful...literally no seasoning on anything. Only good part of the meal was the Oysters. Will definitely not be back.

Araba M.

Yelp
I had the lobster pasta which was very good. Good portion size and well flavored. The ambiance is ok but the food makes up for whatever is lacking.

john b.

Yelp
Food and service were above average. Sadly, the cioppino is made very spicy without crab (like in California) so I wasn't able to try it.

Aundre B.

Yelp
Being a chef, it's tough finding a restaurant that hit every area from ambiance to service to food, but Seabreeze did. Our server was pleasant, efficient, and great at the upsale. The other server even refilled our waters and collected dirty plates. The restaurant had a beach theme with a great selection of spirits and a fresh fish market! All the food was fresh, flavorful with great use of spices, and the presentations gave you the desire to eat it (halibut could have used some color, but tasted better than it looked!). The ice cream dessert with the biscoff and chocolate chips was pleasing to the pilate. 5 stars. Great job.

Trina M.

Yelp
Arrived at Sea Breeze before 5. No crowds at this time and Hailey invited us to sit wherever. They have a happy hour menu so we both chose a craft drink @ $7 each. Hailey made recommendations but we had already scoped out the Lobster Roll on Yelp. This was seriously delicious. Lots of large, sweet, tender chunks of lobster in a light vinaigrette sauce. The fresh, dense roll was perfectly toasted. Ranks up there as best ever! We couldn't decide where to go next. Hailey helped steer us, but she was so excited about everything it was hard to narrow it down! We decided on the Cioppino with toasted baguettes and added an order of fries. The Cioppino was a delightful mix of shrimp, mussels, clams, white fish, and calamari in a hearty tomato broth with the right balance of spices. The fries were perfect. We asked for Parmesan and Hailey brought out some freshly grated! Nice touch! It was a perfect addition to both the soup and fries. We stopped there but we will return again to try more of Hailey's favorites. (Don't be swayed by the couple of negative reviews, they must be grouchy! This was top notch seafood at reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed!)

monica c.

Yelp
Went for lunch today and while the service was very good and the food was equally good the portions were not what I feel the price tag charged. A little overpriced for the food on the plate. We had the shrimp cocktail to start. Not huge shrimp but good quality. We also had the fried fish and chip platter along with the cedar plank trout. We also placed an order to go. Calamari and the New England lobster roll. When we got home we were shocked by how little the lobster roll was for $24. Too bad. Not sure if the food was worth the price tag.

Tanmy F.

Yelp
The seared ChileanSea Bass was amazing. I would suggest the side be hotter - Ratatouille and asparagus. My husband loved the Shrimp Scampi and it came out hot. Service was good!

Carson R.

Yelp
great service and vibes inside !!! felt transported to the upper east coast Had a craving for lobster rolls and these were very delicious and satisfying (recommend the New England over the Connecticut personally!). For dessert, the peach cobbler & crème brûlée were pretty good!

Jan W.

Yelp
Stinky fish market. Overpriced. Couldn't stand the smell so couldn't eat there. Spent $60 on a couple of crab claws. Not going back.
