Got the tahini sundae and it was super unique and yummy. The nuttiness with the sweet ice cream went together really well and you can’t even tell it’s vegan.

The Tahini sundae is very special, I like the texture of mixing the halva crumble and tahini ices cream. You can try different favors, but cannot choose the tahini flavor for the sundae.

I don’t know what they put in the tahini soft serve but it is some of the best textured and tasting soft serves I have ever had. A MUST get their tahini sundae. The halva pieces adding a crunch… it is DELICIOUS

Inside of the Chelsea Market lies this gem. I've seen a couple of food influencers mention that they have a vegan ice cream flavor and I just had to try them out. The vegan tahini sundae is that flavor, and let me tell you, it is amazing!! Not overly sweet and no funny aftertaste, which you can sometimes get with vegan ice creams. Some people may find the halva crumble a little "chewy" but the crunchy texture is a welcomed addition to the velvety smooth ice cream. And that drizzle...🤤 This is a top-tier vegan sweet treat!

Came for their ice cream that was fire on social media. It was delicious❤️‍🔥 and I highly recommend it if you are looking for special ice cream. I got 🖤🤍🍦swirled ice cream which is black and white sesame flavor with some halva crumbs. $8 but worth to give it a try! Ice cream is creamy and rich, sesame taste was really strong. Flavored halva bar is also $8 for each. It was slightly pricy for me so I’ll go back next time.

Seed + Mill's vegan ice cream sundae was excellent. The tahini and halva were synergistic compliments to the ice cream. Tahini has a light "peanut buttery" taste but with the sesame and slight bitterness you'd expect. The halva was interesting, I think they added some of the cardamon in mine as I was getting hints of that flavor.

Great place. I just tried the prepackaged whote chocolate lemon halva and is really good. The guy on the front was really nice and even you can try any of th different flavors they have available before make the decision. Definitely a place to go back when I return to NYC.

Seed + Mill is AMAZING!! I actually first tried their Halva in upstate NY at an organic market. It was awesome to get to try their storefront in Chelsea Market!! I LOVE tahini anything, but their tahini based soft serve is the best non-dairy ice cream I've had it my life!! Yes it is pricey, but it is so creamy, fluffy, and delicious!! I asked for all the toppings available so it has halva, tahini drizzle, chocolate drizzle, and sea salt. Both the chocolate and vanilla soft serve options are amazing and I can't wait to try it again! I'm personally not into Halva, but my mom LOVES it so there's something for both of us whenever we visit. The service is really quick and I really appreciated the staff allowing me to sample ice cream before purchasing. It is more like a "stand", so you just pick up the ice cream and go. There is nearby seating, but Seed + Mill itself is not a sit down restaurant. Anyways, I love this place and they're so innovative with tahini. I would recommend this to everyone I know.

It is a small portion which is the only reason I would not give it a 10/10. Otherwise, if you are a fan of the bitterness of tahini, this is a fantastic dessert. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! The best halva I ever had. Perfect place to get a relatively healthy dessert after trying all the good food at Chelsea market. The sundae was also amazing. I usually do not like vegan ice cream but this tasted better than most dairy based ice creams. The halva and tahini chocolate toppings really made this a superb dessert for a hot summer day

I'd say it's a must if you're visiting Chelsea market. share a soft serve with a friend or get one for yourself. Service is super friendly. The market is so much fun. hardly any indoor seating but a decent amount of outdoor seating. Highly recommended.

Came in through the High Line exit into the Chelsea Market. Needed a little sweet treat after my walk! It's located towards the middle of the market and inside one of the plaza esq areas. Black And White Sesame - Really glad I got a mix and could taste both flavors! The black sesame was my favorite though. It comes with a little peanut butter crumble on the side and what seemed like toffee or caramel on the bottom. One cup was 8.70. A little steep but I'm chalking it up to being in Manhattan and that it's speciality ice cream. For seating, there's open tables right next to the establishment. If they're all filled you can stand at the pizza joint counter like I did and watch all of the delicious pies being made!

What a fantastic idea, the soft serve is one of the best I have ever had. Usually soft serveisn't anything to write home about, however their version of softserve is unique. The tehina and crunchy halva are so good, you will want to tell all of your friends about it. Big plus for being dairy free as I have some friends who are lactose intolerant!

A place that has vegan stuff from soft serves to Halwas. There are a lot of options for halwas in terms of flavor. Honestly, I didn't like any of them just because it tasted very bland. However, the soft serve was pretty good especially being vegan. They serve it with Tahini. This place had a line the whole time mainly for the Tahini Sundaes.

The tahini sundae is out of this world delicious. I first tried halva in Jerusalem last year and this tasted just like being in the market there to me. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. When we went, there were plenty of lines for nearby restaurants, but no wait for this spot. My friend and I each got the sundae, which was a good choice because you definitely do not want to share! The sundae has a vegan tahini soft serve base with a good amount of halva and topped with black sesame and sesame drizzle. It was so nutty and delicious. The price is more than worth it. It can be a little hard to eat as it's topped up, so I suggest finding a nearby corner and just standing to devour. You'll be finished pretty fast, trust me.

You can ask for a sample too if you're curious at what the flavors taste like! It's quite condensed so a few bites is enough dessert. The chelsea market location is a stand in the food market hall. When we looked it up online, we were very intrigued and decided we needed to try it. It's a small little area located in Chelsea Market. They sell halva and of course, the tahini soft serve (dairy-free!). It doesn't look like much but when I took my first bite, I felt like I was transported into heaven. The flavor is so unique and like nothing I've ever had. Creamy, nutty, not too sweet. Omg, it was just incredible. They top it with little halva pieces and a tahini drizzle. It truly blew my mind. Do yourself a favor and try it!

I think halvah is among my favorite sweet treats, and wow, Seed & Mill was like a dream come true. I had the vegan soft serve with halvah crumbles and tahini drizzle -- it was incredible. I also bought a small piece of ginger halvah -- the salesperson threw in a second piece for free because he said he thought it was a little oily. No complaints here. I took this to mean "not so fresh" so I felt obligated to eat much of it for an afternoon snack.

Best soft serve I've had since last night at Rule of Thirds and it tastes very similar! It is very smooth and creamy with halvah on top. Insanely rich and probably so fattening!! I have been here before but never had a chance to write about it. Next time you are in the vicinity, you HAVE to stop in and try everything! I love the peanut butter halvah and can't stop eating it. First time trying tahini ice cream sundae...unbelievably amazing. Powerful and creamy flavor that's not too overwhelming. The topics they put inside and top was nothing I've ever tasted before. Cashier was friendly, was able to grab me a cup despite closing in 5 mins- thanks so much!! Ambiance is clean and neat but since it's located inside Chelsea market, hard to have a holistic review for its ambiance. 10/10!!!!!

Halva is my mom's favorite, and so she was very exited to find there was a halva place in New York, so we had to stop by and get some. It was very good and very sweet.

The most delicious treat within Chelsea Market!! I love tahini but had never heard of Halva. It is essentially crumbled sesame seeds that have a fudge like texture. The halva crumbles, drizzle of tahini, and soft serve vegan ice cream come together for a sweet, salty and somewhat savory bite. It really is hard to describe, but absolutely decadent. The manager was also so pleasant, describing the history of Halva and letting us try a few samples too. Highly recommend if you're in Chelsea Market!

MY FAVORITE!!! anytime im back in new york i will be stopping here. i always get the oat milk soft serve with the halva. the soft serve compliments the sweetness and nuttiness of the halva. i love the tahini drizzle on top. this time there was also black sesame drizzle too!! the man at the counter was so super sweet and service was amazing

Wide assortment of halva - the cardamom one in particular transports you to another realm with its flavor! The service was awesome - I was able to try many samples before I settled on a flavor. The lines were a little long but moved quickly in the buzzing market. Looking forward to trying the ice cream another time (the machine was frozen when I visited).

I was in Chelsea Market and wanted to try something sweet. I came here because it had excellent reviews on Yelp. I was surprised that there were little to no lines here compared to everyone else, but I think the food here is a bit unique (not a typical ice cream shop). I got a slice of white chocolate lemon halva, which is a dessert with a unique texture. At first I was disappointed due to the small size that I got, but I quicky changed my mind after taking a bite. The halva was very flavorful, but also very rich and dense. It was so good that I got another one to go. I did want to come back and try their soft serve, but had already eaten too much that day. I do plan on coming back here in the future.

I've been gifted seed + mill halva before but today I came in person for the first time and had their soft serve, which completely lived up. It was absolutely delicious. It's an oat milk soft serve with seed + mill tahini mixed in for a tahini soft serve, with caramel drizzle on top as well as halva crumbles. I wasn't in the mood for dessert initially and we got one to split but I absolutely could have eaten my own. The portion size is appropriate and you don't feel like you had too much sugar after having it. It's just perfect. I cannot recommend enough. This is vegan soft serve but that's irrelevant, it's amazing regardless of your dietary preferences.

Went specifically for halva since I love anything sesame, flavors didn't disappoint, just the right amount of sweetness, ended up getting dark chocolate and toasted coconut since it was on sale.

Listed as an ice cream place, I didn't look up much after I saw the mention of tahini sauce on ice cream. I didn't realize it was mostly a tahini and halva stand. To my surprise, I have never had halva so I can't tell you how it fares with other places. But I can say, I thoroughly enjoyed trying it for the first time. There are many delicious flavors of halva to choose from and they sell by the quarter lb, lb, or full cake round size. We tried the peanut butter crunch and the rosemary almond. Both were delicious in flaky, creamy texture but I kind of wished that the rosemary was more prominent in flavor. It's quite subtle. Their website has an array of recipes for inspiration which is much needed as a halva noobie. The tahini halva ice cream was deliciously peanut buttery like with a slight crunch to a classic vanilla flavor. Remember to dig down because we thought there was only halva on the side but we were left with too much on the bottom at the end. Expect to wait on line while they try to serve you quick. I wish they offer samples but it just gets so busy that it doesn't seem to be the case. A bit pricy including the ice cream but a block should last you since it's little crumbly peices that you would eat. Certainly a unique delicacy to try if you can!

Every time I go to Chelsea Market, I see people eating Seed + Mill soft serve, so I was very excited to try it out. The flavor was super unique and the texture was smooth and creamy. Such an underrated gem in Chelsea Market. I sampled a number of the halva, and while they were all delicious, what really stole my heart was the oat milk tahini soft serve with halva on top. Oh my lord, this was so good! So rich, creamy, smooth, and packed with flavor. If you're looking for good vegan ice cream, skip the overhyped Whipped Urban Dessert Lab and come straight here. I'm not even vegan, but I would gladly seek this place out just to have a taste of that again.

TAHINI SUNDAE W HALVA Came here just for this special item you don't get to see in many places. The soft serve made from tahini itself was reminiscent of black sesame flavor which is no surprise. It's nutty, creamy, and is a bit like peanut butter if I had to compare it to a well-known flavor. It's nutty and subtly sweet. Halva is added in a pretty large portion and is satisfyingly crumbly, kind of melts in your mouth but then becomes sticky and can get stuck to your teeth. It has a flavor to it that helps cut the sweetness of the ice cream, but for me I got a pretty hefty portion of halva and so it started overpowering the ice cream at some points. Overall I enjoyed this and enjoyed the experience. I would get it again if I could just get the soft serve alone, but when I'm craving halva I would come back here for some high quality halva as well.

Owner (?) was so nice! Super friendly trying to help us figure out what we might like. They didn't have cardamom to try that day so he was trying to describe before we bought. I ended up buying the tahini soft serve. It was so good! The soft serve was so creamy and delicious. I would not have guessed it were vegan by texture or flavor. Delicious with the halva! I think it was just original halva. It added a fun additional sweetness and texture to the soft serve. Next time might mix the halva base into the soft serve next time to distribute more evenly. Would come back again to buy halva next time. Definitely will be coming back to try more halva flavors!

First time eating Tahini soft serve with halva crumbles. Super rich creamy, not too sweet, smooth texture and dairy free. Texture similar to cream top Greek yogurt but more delicious with the drizzled sauce and halva pistachio crumbles. Definitely coming back to try more flavors..,

Ok, the black sesame tahini soft serve through didn't quite have the intense black sesame flavor I love, and I found the Oliver sprinkle a little too sweet for my for my taste, but, oh the sesame soft serve! What a distinctive rich flavor and creamy texture!! Only wish they were open past 7:00.

I ordered a Sundae ($8) and a cone ($0.5) to pick up. The taste is unique but some people may find it too rich to like it. $8 for a small cup of ice cream is very overpriced even in NYC. But what upset me the most was they didn't have the cone and failed to proactively communicate with me that they were unable to fulfill my order (I was standing right by the counter). When I reported this error to the cashier, he offered me a nickel ($0.05) as reimbursement. How ridiculous.

The tahini soft serve was a unique, delicious, but expensive experience. It was over $8 for seemingly small serving of soft serve. However, the soft serve, drizzle, and crumbs were all uniquely tasteful and not overly sweet so I was a fan of it. I would describe the taste similar to that of injeolmi or kinako and this flavor is mostly found in the crumbs. Because the soft serve is not so sweet, the overall flavor was the super strong. I found the price too steep however for the portion. It's probably worth trying at least once.

The halva here is pretty damn good. Definitely try anything with pistachio in it, but I also liked the cardamom. The flavors are subtle but pleasant. What was the star was how they paired it with the oat milk soft serve --definitely need to incorporate halva on my toast, oatmeal, ice cream, or just eat it plainly! A little pricey but it's also Chelsea market :) Service is wonderful, informative, and patient.

We got the vegan soft serve and it came with the tahini on top and under, the texture was great and tasted like sesame peanut butter soft serve.

Ok I've been here twice on separate NYC trips. I've never heard of halva before but I do love tahini so it was cool to come across this place. I've tried few different flavors and bought some. I liked it but I guess it's not for everybody in terms of the texture. On my last visit, we got to try the ice cream which was delish! They top it with halva and so good. When you're in the area, get samples to determine if this is for you.

We randomly came across this stall at Chelsea Market and decided to try a few samples. We are glad we did, as the vegan ice cream with crushed Halva was fantastic! It had such a unique flavor to it. The Halva was also great, and we took home the pecan and pistachio ones. They offer a huge variety of flavors so we will try more next time.

This has been on my list for YEARS, but prior times I had come, they did not have the soft serve, and I wanted to sample the halva before purchasing. Finally came again yesterday, and they had the soft serve (oat-based) with tahini drizzle and halva crumbles (a variety of halva according to the shopkeeper, but I couldn't really taste the difference; there's also some halva at the bottom) for $8. GET THIS. I like halva on its own, but it works even better as a topping on the soft serve. One of the highlights of all of 2021 for me when it comes to food. They are also now allowing 1 sample per person for halva. I ended up getting the sea salt chocolate halva and marbled halva (marbled with chocolate I think), and I appreciated the marbled better. I thought the chocolate halva distracted too much for the base sesame taste of the original halva. Will come back again to try other halva (i.e. coffee), and of course, that soft serve.

This halva is amazing crystalized complex-textured halva. In person, they slice it from giant beautiful cakes. (As opposed to the Seed & Mill boxes they sell in stores.) It tastes so much better fresh, and they have around 8-10 rotating flavors at a time. Nice if you're picking up gifts, which I was. Current flavors are: 70% Dark Chocolate, Raspberry, Sweet Pecan, Rose Oil, Marble, Sesame, Pistachio, Marzipan. $8 for a 1/4 lb. slice. Every time I come here they're so nice. Can't wait to do a halva tasting!

Go here. So damn good I literally went back for a second tahini oat milk soft serve Sunday. The halva is perfection and the owner is so nice. Haven't had halva this good ever in the US. Got the rose oil halva. What a gem.
