A Guide to Ann Arbor’s Best Korean Restaurants - Eater Detroit

"Those experienced with Korean barbecue love Seoul Garden for its well-marinated meats and generous amounts of banchan, the side dishes that add an array of flavor and texture to the grilled centerpieces." - John Reyes

Court Orders Ann Arbor Restaurant to Pay Employees $112K in Back Wages - Eater Detroit

"A federal court is ordering Min & Kim Inc. — the operator of Ann Arbor restaurant Seoul Garden — to pay its employees $112,212 in back wages. Investigators with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division found that the Korean and Japanese restaurant violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay its employees overtime and maintain accurate payroll and time records, according to a release." - Brenna Houck

We booked this restaurant at 8 pm. on a heavy rain night since we just had a late lunch. When we arrived the table was already set full of many Korean side dishes that we could always ask for refill. BBQ beef dishes were large and tasty. Staffs were very attentive to details and always check on us if needed anything.

The braised monkfish and shrimp fried rice with squid were amazing. We also had the seafood pancake, shrimp shamai, rock shrimp and calamari. Everything was outstanding. After a long day at work this place has an amazing atmosphere is calming. The service is as it would be in Seoul. To get their attention make eye contact and they will come over. If I could give more stars I would.

Good traditional food but the pig foot serving size is small. Employees are a little lifeless but this place is a good place for good quality food.

While I can't actually speak to their atmosphere, it looked beautiful inside. I ordered online for pickup and was quickly greeted and handed my food. And let me say it in no way disappointed. I used to work at a Korean place, and I'd have to rank this one above it and I loved the other place. This is fantastic place. Please try the Soondubu soup if you enjoy seafood and have a okay spice tolerance.

I don’t eat Korean BBQ all enough to have a good opinion. The food was ample! If you are one person order your entree and then decide if you need more. I had the Ribeye and it was 2 large thin steaks. The scissors were well sharpened and way to use. I did have to ask for some spicier sauces and let me tell you their “very spice sauce” lives up to the words. You Amy want to stick to Siracha. I cut it with a different sauce and it was great! The dumpling app was very good! The restaurant seemed slow but it was a Monday. Prices were fair. Definitely better with more people so that you can share! I am taking a lot of food home! Tito’s $7

This is one of my favorite spots in Ann Arbor. At lunch I love the Bibimbap or the Bulgogi BBQ Combo. At dinner the Korean BBQ platter is delicious. The variety of the ban chan served at the start is so tasty. Don't sleep on the Seafood Pancake! The staff are always so kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

ALLERGY FRIENDLY ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Rating: 5/5 Stars** **Highly recommended for everyone, especially those with food allergies seeking a safe and delicious dining experience.** Seoul Garden in Ann Arbor has now earned my loyalty through not one, but two outstanding dining experiences that showcase exactly how restaurants should handle food allergies. As someone with an egg allergy, finding restaurants that truly understand allergen management can be challenging, but Seoul Garden sets the gold standard. The owner's approach to handling my egg allergy has been nothing short of exemplary on both visits. Her knowledge and attention to detail are impressive - she personally ensures that cooks wipe down all surfaces and thoroughly clean the stir fry pans to prevent any cross-contamination. This level of care demonstrates genuine understanding of food allergies rather than just going through the motions. During our first visit, when we called ahead to discuss suitable options, they went above and beyond by providing detailed information about every item we asked about and even sent us package information for ingredients. This proactive approach immediately put us at ease and showed their commitment to diner safety. Seoul Garden provided my introduction to Korean BBQ, and they couldn't have set the bar higher. The restaurant's immaculate cleanliness and beautiful interior design create the perfect atmosphere for both intimate dinners and group celebrations. The attention to detail in the restaurant's presentation matches their attention to food safety. The service quality is exceptional - there's virtually no wait time, and the staff provides excellent assistance with grilling and serving the meats. Their attentiveness never feels intrusive, striking the perfect balance between helpful guidance and allowing you to enjoy your meal. The combo plate for two is genuinely substantial - we discovered it could easily feed three people. The generous portions caught us completely off guard in the best way possible, making appetizers entirely unnecessary. Every dish we tried was delicious, showcasing authentic flavors and quality ingredients. What sets Seoul Garden apart is the genuine care they show for their guests' needs and safety. In a dining landscape where many restaurants view allergen requests as an inconvenience, Seoul Garden treats them as an opportunity to provide exceptional service. The owner's personal involvement and expertise make all the difference. Whether you're new to Korean BBQ or a seasoned enthusiast, Seoul Garden delivers an outstanding experience. The restaurant is ideal for introducing family and friends to Korean cuisine, with staff who are patient and knowledgeable about helping newcomers navigate the menu and grilling process. Seoul Garden represents everything a restaurant should be - delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, exceptional service, and genuine care for guest safety and satisfaction. For diners with food allergies, this restaurant demonstrates that eating out can be both safe and enjoyable when proper protocols and genuine care are in place. After two fantastic experiences, Seoul Garden has earned a permanent spot on our list of favorite restaurants. We'll continue returning and enthusiastically recommending it to others. This is how all restaurants should operate, and Seoul Garden deserves recognition for setting such a high standard.

Sooo good. Can’t go wrong with KBBQ!! Choose 4 different meats because I guess we wanted to make sure we wouldnt leave hungry. It came with your typical little dishes plus a salad & steamed egg dish!! Had just a tiny box of leftovers. :)

Yelp
So came here with the entire fam a few weeks back for lunch. Came here pretty late for lunch around 1/2 so it was pretty dead. We got a few apps to try. Seafood pancake was low key mid. Not bad but not the best I've had. A little dry for my taste. We got a few pieces of nigiri, the salmon. It was okay. Not the freshest but not bad either. I ended up ordering the tempura Udon. The noodles were soft with a slight chew. Broth was light. Tempura was mid. I think it's a pretty good spot for a quick meal given the prices and portions.

Yelp
"She'll let you in her heart If you got a hammer and a vise But into her secret garden, don't think twice" (Bruce Springsteen) What a wonderful dinner we had tonight at the Seoul Garden. We weren't in the mood for a hibachi table, so we skipped the hibachi show and big dinner and picked three things from their regular menu. We ordered a Spicy Pork Combo ($20), an order of three egg Rolls ($6), and an order of six humongous Soy Garlic chicken wings ($12). As soon as we ordered, a variety of Banchan side dishes came out right away. There were six of them -sticky rice, kimchi, potatoes, broccoli, crunchy pickled vegetables, and spicy seafood strips. What a great way to start the meal. My spicy pork was fantastic- a heaping platter of thinly sliced very spicy pork strips over sauteed sliced onions. The wings were gigantic, some of the biggest we've ever seen, and they were delicious. We both thought the egg rolls were the weak link because there didn't seem to be much inside except shredded cabbage. Service was very good, and the food was plentiful and reasonably priced.

Yelp
It's okay. Service was not the best as 2 of the servers couldn't tell us what came in certain dishes or didn't know what things were. The bulgogi bento was just good. The bibibop was also just good. Their ttekboki is really good. Place is big and spacious.

Yelp
The food was ok here. It had some hits and a few misses. The restaurant is very clean and looks modern. The bon chon was not served until the meal was coming out. The kimchi was a hit. It was on the fresher side which is what I prefer. The radish was also very good. The mashed potatoes were sort of sweet. I found those to be interesting and unexpected. We ordered a kimchi pancake and it was sooooooo oily. The pancake was so oily that none of it has any crispness at all. i would not order that again. The spicy chicken bbq was not spicy at all. I mean not even a little bit. The overall flavors were ok but I wanted some of that spice! The serving size was quite large. Service was slow but friendly.

Yelp
I am lucky enough to know a wonderful family that has come to A2 from Korea for a year... they have been so kind to take us to a few places around town, and this one is their favorite so far. Of course, I really have no idea what we ordered... but I loved it all! It helps a lot to have support from people that DO know how to order. :) The decor is a little cold, but overall very clean and the staff welcoming. There is plenty of parking, and the prices are about right. I would definitely go again...

Yelp
I liked that they have good size parking space. I ordered course meal for 4 assuming portion size maybe small but I was wrong. It came with many different dishes and there were a lot of meats. Quality of meats were very good. The building looked little outdated so I was worried at first but inside was large and looked clean. The staff was friendly and checked on us for refill of drinks frequently. This place became one of my favorite restaurants. Definitely we come back again.

Yelp
It in centrally located to several hotels in Ann Arbor. We started out with the large size of Korean chicken bites (can order in two flavers), the seafood pancake (traditional Korean pancake) and fried calamari (Korean style). The three appetizers were excellent. Then we ordered the spicy pork and beef dish (cooked in the kitcen with onions) - they were also a hit. I had the tofu spicy soup (Soondubu) and it was hot and spicey. We also had the fried rice. The price for all this was reasonable. Food was excellent. Will come back again.

Yelp
I am a bi fan of korean cuisine so staying in a hotel nearby decided to try this place. I ordered the Jaeuk kimchi bokum, a stir fry supposed to contain pork belly, kimchi & onions in spucy sauce. When the dish arrived I noticed something I have never seen. It was almost 50% rice cakes! Hardly any pork could be found. Obviously a way to cheat the customer & lower your ingrediant cost. I will never go back & do not recommend!

Yelp
Great service, quality Korean barbecue at a great price. Highly recommended! Our party of five was seated quickly and received top notch service. The pork belly and house made kimchi were our favorites.

Yelp
I think Seoul Garden excels at Korean food that isn't their kbbq which is kind of a bummer for their ratings as most people end up reviewing them for that. I wish they'd check out the beef brisket being sold at Hyundai for kbbq because that's what I consider good chadolbaegi, while the brisket they serve is a bit dry and tough. Aside from their somewhat lackluster kbbq, the Korean entree menu is actually worth checking out! Their seafood soondubu, jjajangmyeon, and soups like yukgaejang and kalbitang are all excellent! I would like to highlight that the jajangmyeon is one of the best iterations of this dish I've tried among many different locations throughout the US! I'll be craving this dish any time I'm looking for some cozy comfort food and feel super lucky and grateful that Seoul gardens version is actually that good!

Yelp
I came here for the all you can eat Korean bbq. There were 2 options for all you can eat, option A had more meat and side options for $38 and option B had a little bit less for $32. I ordered the more expensive option because they had 2 choices of Kalbi for the beef portion. Ultimately for 3 people, we ordered 6 servings of Kalbi, 3 Chadol, 1 bbq chicken, 1 ribeye, 1 seafood pancake, 1 veggie dumpling, 1 kimchi, 1 steamed egg and 2 rice. The total ended up being over $100. I would say for 3 people it wasn't bad in price! The food was all good! The service was good! We came Saturday afternoon (3pm) and didn't have to wait for a table. I wouldn't say anything was especially amazing, but for the price I think it was a good deal! The portions were very fair and I would come back!

Yelp
I love this restaurant I've been going here for years and it is one of our go to date night spots. Tonight I just had the best chicken wings ever crispy and spicy. The stone bowl bibinbop is hot the whole way to the end. I've had The Korean bbq and it is great and is more affordable than other places I've gone. Most importantly the sides here are the best.

Yelp
Good Korean restaurant. Just as expensive as Tomukun, but better banchan. Really good bulgogi. The jjajangmyeon was very mid, soggy noodles. Otherwise, would recommend.

Yelp
It's nice that they spent money to update the restaurant and it looks great. Love the open concept and additional sunlight from the new windows that been added. The chairs were nice but it was bit uncomfortable after a while. Unfortunately with the upgrade, they removed the sushi options and it's full Korean restaurant. Menus are all in English now and they jacked the prices up by 50% or more. I wouldn't complain about higher fees if their food taste went up, however it went down, the serving bowls were downgraded as well. I guess this is reality of inflation and Covid affects. While this place was going through upgrades, they opened a new kbbq joint on Liberty - The Seoul - to compete with Tomukun. I don't know if that location has better food, but I would assume it's the same. Bit disappointed with their food quality.

Yelp
They did a complete renovation of this place from the last time I came a few years ago! It's a lot more spacious and looks very modern. Food was just as delicious as I remembered it to be and service was excellent. Kalbi portions were huuuge this is the first time my fam ever had to pack leftovers after kbbq. This is def one of the better kbbq spots around the area.

Yelp
food was so good. Everything tasted amazing. This also had authentic food and cooking methods. one of the best restaurants ever

Yelp
This place is great for a good KBBQ fix! My partner lived in LA for 5 years before moving to Michigan to be with me, so he was eager to find that Ann Arbor has a handful of great Korean places. Seoul Garden is a great place to go, especially if you're looking to avoid the craziness of trying to go to a place downtown. The meats are very high quality, the banchans are tasty and plentiful, they use a little bit of forbidden rice in the rice they give you and it makes a tasty addition to the classic white. their soju cocktails are strong and delicious. The restaurant can get a bit smoky but it's a big place and usually not too crowded so it's well suited to conversation and enjoying a meal together.

Yelp
We love the Dolsat bibimbap. So delicious. The place is brighter and cleaner than in the past. I used to recommend it only to certain people. Now I would widely recommend it.

Yelp
I've been coming here for several years now; it's not my go-to Korean restaurant in the area, but it's not bad. I like the rotating banchan here, and you can ask for some hot barley tea! Here are some of my favorites: * Tripe Soft Tofu Stew - Not the best in the area, but it will satisfy your soondubu cravings. I love the tripe mixed the spicy broth that's pretty flavorful. Pretty big portions. No complaints. * Cold Buckwheat Noodles (Mul Naengmyeon) - It's pretty delicious here! Get some kalbi or bulgolgi (not marinated) and you have an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Sadly, they give you one or two small pieces of beef in each naengmyeon. Not a lot of noodles either, just a lot of broth in a big bowl to make it appear large. KBBQ here is on the more expensive side and relatively small portions. Will satisfy your cravings if you are in the area!

Yelp
Visiting Ann Arbor, just for a day, and I'm so thankful that this restaurant is near my hotel, very convenient. The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming. I had the Jachae (glass noodles) with the beef bulgogi...delish! I also had the shrimp shumai, all very good. Very spacious interior, will definitely return the next time I visit this city!

Yelp
Newly remodeled into a brighter much more modern look. Super clean and airy. We ordered way too much for 4 people, but everything was very good. The meal came with plenty of banchan/side dishes, which were more generous than many of the restaurants that we've been to. We had the meat combo for 2-3 people, which came with the rice and steam egg. We also got a side salad that came with it. We ordered calamari tempura, kimchi pancake, spicy short rib soup, and jampjaeng. It was all very good. Service was very attentive. They did add a "surcharge" or tip, on their own, which was odd. Not a fan of imposed forced tipping, which was 18%. The service was great, and if they didn't force it on us I would have tipped much more. I despised forced tipping as much as I despise credit card up charges that some places now impose too. Overall it was delicious and hit the spot!

Yelp
Loved the place!!! Stopped by yesterday by chance. Was driving by and felt like Korean food. I am just a regular American who has been to Seoul (the Korean city) only once, so for me, the food was excellent! The portions were generous, and the service was superb. It is in the middle of a hotel cluster and was very convenient walking distance for me from the Sheraton. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
They are open again! They were closed for the longest time for remodeling and are now reopened. The restaurant looks totally different. There are still 3 different sections like before. They also have simplified their menu which means if you were a regular here previously, it's possible what you usually get isn't on the menu anymore.

Yelp
We were seated in the way back at a grill table. Had waters out quick. They are spacing guests out with more than 6 foot spacing between. They are cleaning surfaces between guests. We ordered the spicy BBQ chicken, one order, an avocado salad, house salad and the ttoekbokki for ro share. Neither of us were terribly hungry but were craving some spicy Korean food, then again when don't I want Korean food? I really like that there wasn't a minimum of 2 BBQ orders since my husband wasn't really hungry and wanted salad and tteokbokki and just a few pieces of chicken at most. It's also a plus that they trim up their chicken quite well and really lean too. The grill was out in minutes. The bountiful array of banchans were out, along with our avocado and house salad as well as the spicy BBQ salad. The spicy BBQ chicken plate was out and was nicely trimmed and so lean too. The meat cooked up nicely and tasted good too, nice with the neatly trimmed romaine leaves, a dot of the soy bean paste. Be sure to get some fresh garlic to grill up and eat with the chicken too. The house salad comes with ginger. The avocado salad is sliced avocados on top of the house ginger salad. The banchans are spicy pickled radish, fish cake, kimchi, shredded radish and broccoli. The waitress here is on top of things and is attentive and quick to respond, she's efficient and checks up on us too. The tteokbokki isn't spicy, more peppery, yet still flavorful. The sauce isn't a thick pepper paste and more soupy. They offer full meal kits to take and cook up at home for the entire family. Average prices here. Service is good, food is also quite good as well.

Yelp
Place: This place is off campus of AA (Ann Arbor). You definitely need a car to get to this place. There is parking and I would say it is a great bring your parents to this place if you feeling hungry and want to pack left overs! The space is pretty big so a big party can come here too :) Service: The service is overall good! They are really good about refilling side dishes and the kimchi tastes pretty good! Food/price: The food is authentic and the price is pretty good overall. As a college student, I don't know if I would order barbecue with two people but in a group 4 I think it would be worth the price. Audience: I saw a lot of families and groups of friends. Recommend/tips? I would recommend this place and I see myself going there again.

Yelp
Amazingly good authentic Korean food with great service! Would highly recommend and our kids love it too!

Yelp
Soup for the soul. Just what I needed when. Warm, friendly, dedicated waitstaff. Loving the complements too; those fish cakes, pickled radish, broccoli, and kimchi; yum. Spicy beef yook ke jang soup was nice. Everything I hoped for on a cold day. Enjoyable.

Yelp
Excellent environment, food, and service New remodeling and great place for bbq. Same owner and know how to do business to attract people

Sarah N.

Yelp
I always judge I could Korean barbecue by their Banchan and this place has not only good BBQ...but great banchan! The service is phenomenal! They definitely operate as a team and I like the new modern atmosphere! I highly recommend! Can't wait to come back and try other menu items!

Sawoong M.

Yelp
Not bad for a korean restaurant in the US, quite authentic for what you get, good portions, relatively good value for kbbq here! Lots of diverse menu items too, recommend the kalbi and the pork!
google avatar

Yesenia C.

Yelp
The BEST service! They were very attentive! Biggest pork belly I have ever gotten! I've never seen an all you can eat Korean bbq! First time I've been to Ann Arbor and it didn't disappoint! This will be a must when I head back out!
google avatar

Yelp
Bought a Groupon deal for $30. Ordered the spicy Korean pork barbecue. Not a good idea because the marinade is sticking and burning in the hot plate. Sliced so thinly, it sets apart when you flip the other side. Service was slow since there were only 2-3 people working on 3 sides of the restaurant. No refilling of drinks. You have to ask them for it. Price is overpriced. Flavor of the kimchi is off and the rest of what we ordered. Still prefer Dae Jang Keum in big beaver rd.

S. K.

Yelp
Great Korean food in Ann Arbor is non-existent. Seoul Garden is decent with sizable portions. Everything was slightly over seasoned but perfectly passable. Would I go out of my way to dine here? No. Is this a decent option to any one of the nearby hotel options? Yes.
google avatar

Yelp
Bad service female staff, unhappy attitude to customers. urge customers to pay for the restaurant to clean.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
I'm grateful on Monday night while many Korean restaurants are close, but this one is open as I'm an out of town visitor. Foods were great. I wish they add more veggies to the bbq set like green pepper, okra...
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
Good food and good service, waitress was very friendly and helpful with helping our decision on menu items and often checked in to ensure that we were satisfied. The food quality was very good as you would expect from a Korean cuisine. We will definitely return.
google avatar

Crystal H.

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times and they hav all been good experiences! Out of the Korean restaurants in AA, I enjoy their soodubu the most. I think their flavors are more on point, and their spices works. And most importantly, it is actually spicy. I also have had their sushi here. Coming from the West Coast, I have had better sushi, but while in the MidWest, I can't complain too much for the freshness of the fish. Their prices for their sushi wasn't as expensive as I would have thought.

Susan S.

Yelp
Amazing food, everything we ordered was phenomenal. The service was prompt and the staff was very attentive of all our needs including offering advice on what meats we should cook first( I am assuming because of the thickness of the meat), we appreciated all their help. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Keera F.

Yelp
The dishes are okay. I love the octopus here, and I'm not aware of any other Korean restaurant that sells octopus bibimbap. This dish is the sole reason I'd choose Seoul Garden over other Korean restaurants in AA. Will not recommend bbq here because of the price. The quality of the meat does not justify the price at all. The side dishes here are very good.

Daniel J.

Yelp
Have not been here in a few years but this first trip back was well worth it. They have a new AYCE menu which was a great deal and great quality. All the little sides you get were fresh and delish. I tried the bulgogi, ribeye and pork belly before I finished. Also tried the steamed egg and seafood pancake which are choices included. Service was very good even though they were clearly short staffed. They also remodeled the inside and it is clean and modern looking. If you have not been here in a while, give it a try.
google avatar

Chantel T.

Yelp
Our lunch was amazing. It was a slow lunch shift so it was pretty quiet but our food came out fast & hot. We did the popcorn chicken as an appetizer- plenty to share between five people and it might be the best popcorn chicken I've ever had. Perfect glaze without being too sweet and plenty of crunch. We all chose the lunch combo, big portions with a side soup. My honey bbq pork was delish and the bulgogi was exceptional. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Seoul Garden is in a really weird location surrounded by office buildings. If you sign up for their email list, you get a coupon for $5 off $30+ My mom and I ordered the beef and pork bento boxes and a bibimbop. For around $10 you get sushi, fried rice, salad and meat. It's pretty worth
google avatar

Yelp
Don't know how it was before remodel but this place is great. Food is authentic and tastes great. Fast service, pleasantly surprised visiting from out of town. Definitely would come back!

Q Z.

Yelp
Not sure why this place has only a 3.5 star rating. Food is amazing! And ALOT of it! Service was attentive. If you are staying outside of downtown AA this is not to be missed!

Yelp
I've been here a few times over the years, once quite recently, so I think it's about time I got around to making it "Yelp Official". Seoul Garden is a good time for many reasons, some that have nothing to do with the culinary experience. Allow me to explain. The restaurant is located near several major roads (I-94, State St, Eisenhower Pkwy) without being situated actually *on* any of them, and that is really nice in my humble opinion. I like that it is extremely accessible without being overly burdened by traffic, noise, or clustered parking. Which takes me to parking ! - there is a private lot with ample spaces for parking, a feature that not all restaurants in Ann Arbor can make a claim of. Not paying for parking or using a tiered garage is a really pleasant start to a meal out, I have to say. Don't mind if I do! The food is a combination of Korean and Japanese cuisine, with bbq, soups, sushi, bibimbap, noodles, and many other available options. This is great because it allows for a wide variety of preferences and dietary needs to be easily accommodated. On my last visit, I (the vegan) went with someone who rather prefers that every meal be centered in meat, and we were both able to enjoy a fantastic dinner! They also have beverages to choose from, including things like sake, some specialty cocktails, and imported beers. Drinking a Sapporo always reminds me of the first time I had one in Tokyo. How good! I'm partial to the Dolsot Bibimbap, myself. Rice, veggies, tofu, (no egg for me, being vegan) loaded with a whole heaping mess of gochujang (Korean red pepper paste), served in a hot stone bowl that continues to cook the rice until crisp. Yummm! So good. I ate loads of Bibimbap in South Korea but most of those little family run restaurants I visited didn't have the hot stone bowl (so to have it served dolsot is a special touch). Also, as is traditional, the meal is always served with excellent banchan (basically Korean side dishes, usually different veggies (that are also found IN the bibimbap, as is also traditional)) and even miso soup. My dining companion quite enjoyed the Chicken Yakisoba. Can't argue with noodles! If you're a fan of Korean or Japanese food and you have the opportunity, give this place a go.

Yelp
Seoul Garden is an okay kbbq place in the midst of sparse kbbq places in Michigan. For a group of 4, we got a medium seafood pancake and 2 servings each of pork belly, beef brisket, and marinated bulgolgi. The meat combos also came with bowls of rice for each person in the party, 2 steamed eggs, and unlimited side dishes. If I had the chance, I would definitely skip the marinated bulgolgi, it was way too sweet, and the meat didn't taste as fresh as the unmarinated meats. The pork belly and beef brisket were pretty good; I like dipping the meats in the salt, pepper, and sesame oil sauce they give you. The steamed eggs were both extremely burned at the bottom, so much so that the whole dish was permeated with an unfortunate burned taste. The seafood pancake was actually pretty good; I would definitely get it again. Overall, the quality of food at Seoul Garden varies. However, I would still come again solely based on the lack of affordable and available kbbq restaurants in Michigan.

Yelp
Very nice Korean restaurant with a huge menu! Like the variety of food options here! You can choose either bbq or regular table. The diy style BBQ is fun and really delicious. The regular dishes are pretty authentic Korean flavor. But everything is pricey especially the bbq. I highly recommend the egg stew, super fluffy and warm, the texture is perfect! The overall dining experience is fine except every time I dine in here, I feel like all the waitresses stare at you when you eat. Makes me uncomfortable! But they are usually responsive and kind, and the service is really quick. I wouldn't mind a little staring, but it seems unprofessional and it's definitely not what I look for when I'm eating at a restaurant (owner of Seoul Garden if you're reading this please let the waitresses read this comment!!!) Also there's one time that I ordered hot tea, the mug had someone else's lipstick stain on the edge which grossed me out so much. Tastes of food: 5 star Dining experience: 2.5 star Overall: 4 star (to be generous)

Yelp
This place is neat! I went with a friend. We received fast, friendly service and the food was great. This was my first time trying Korean food and I'm a spice wimp, so they went easy on me and ordered for me. The dumplings were incredible, savory inside and crispy on the outside, the miso soup was good, I also really enjoyed the beef bulgogi. The house salad wats light and refreshing. Ive never had steamed egg, but I enjoyed that too. I don't know how typical Korean fare is supposed to taste, but I thought this was great! If you can't use chopsticks make sure to ask for a fork. jeulgyeo!
