"A federal court ordered Min & Kim Inc., operator of the Ann Arbor Korean and Japanese restaurant Seoul Garden, to pay $112,212 in back wages after U.S. Department of Labor investigators found violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Investigators determined Seoul Garden paid all 27 workers—including cooks, sushi chefs, line cooks, waiters, dishwashers, and bussers—a flat daily rate regardless of actual hours worked, failed to pay legally required overtime for staff who worked more than 40 hours, and did not maintain accurate payroll and time records." - Brenna Houck
