Yelp
TLDR: Don't balk at the short rib pie price, grab an ice cold beer, and come say hi to some of the most incredible staff you'll ever meet at a restaurant.
Our party of three decided to come by a couple of hours before their closing on a Friday night and, noting their limited supply of short rib specialty pies, ordered one online for pick up to make sure we had the chance to try it. When we got there, we ordered a few more slices and a couple of beers and found our seats outside in their adorable patio backyard. Our fresh slices came out in less than 15 minutes.
Margherita: hard to go wrong and they certainly didn't. Fresh ingredients and a crunchy crust made this slice a treat.
Al Pastor: Sweet and salty with a nice kick from the jalapenos. Pork was on the leaner side but flavorful, and an overall very creative slice idea.
Ktown Meatball: Essentially a punchy open-faced meatball sub with the added benefit of their delicious crus - great comfort meal.
Short Rib (best for last): Because we ordered online, we weren't able to see how an in-person short rib pie was delivered until another customer had theirs served. They brought out the pie and a silver food cover on a cart and unveiled a steaming hot short rib, which they broke down and plated on the pie in front of them. This might have been one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The short rib topping could have rivaled a standalone restaurant portion in size, flavor, and tenderness, and the distinctive homage to Korean barbecue in both the sauce and various toppings made this a meal I won't be forgetting any time soon. At a whopping $55/pie, this obscenely opulent pizza is worth every dollar.
Towards closing, we were checked in on by Tyler, an incredible conversationalist (and fellow gym rat) who spoiled us with more (liters!) of beer and a pot of makgeolli (cold-served rice wine - very fruity). I haven't written a review this fervently in a while and 7 Tigers absolutely deserves it.
