The Best Pizza in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"The city’s pizza scene just got an all-star addition via a collaboration between chef Sean Brock and a duo of Nashville entrepreneurs, Mary Carlisle and Ben Gambill. Brock had been developing his fermented dough recipes inspired by the Neopolitan pizzas of Japan when he was introduced to the Gambills, fresh off a visit to Tokyo’s iconic Savoy pizzeria. Now, Sho has landed in Riverside Village, turning out pillowy, charred pizzas, small plates, and excellent cocktails. The Country Boy pizza, a nod to Brock’s continued dedication to his Appalachian roots, is topped with pecorino, country ham, wood-fired onions, whey onions, and charred onion cream; don’t sleep on the Caesar salad featuring bonita flakes for super umami flavor. Head in for lunch or dinner on the patio, at the bar, or in the cozy dining room." - Ellen Fort

The 13 Best New Restaurants In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"We’ve heard there’s some pretty good pizza in Tokyo. We’ll get there one day to try it for ourselves, but in the meantime, you can catch us at Sean Brock’s new spot in Riverside Village, which specializes in a similar style of pies. The dough undergoes a three-day fermentation period in a temperature-controlled dough room, and the result is a delightfully chewy personal-sized pizza topped with things like country ham, guanciale, and mushroom cream. Be prepared to wait, though—if the restaurant’s at capacity, it can take up to 40 minutes for your blistered pie to come out of the wood-fired oven. Order the raw bluefin tuna or little gem salad to keep you company until then. And always get one of the dipping sauces, like the miso ranch, for the crust." - ann walczak, jackie gutierrez jones 2, adam sloan, carlo mantuano, jackie gutierrez jones 2, jackie gutierrez jones 2, carlo mantuano, adam sloan, ann walczak, ann walczak, ann walczak, jackie gutierrez jones 2

So so so good!!!!! The restaurant validates parking and had a large lot which was a plus. Even though the restaurant was busy we didn’t have to wait for the patio which was a great temp even in summer due to a lot of fans. Get the mushroom pizza, the pizza special, the miso ranch, the house honey, and the Caesar. Delicious drinks! And do not forget dessert! Brought my family who is in town visiting and they haven’t stopped talking about how good the food was and how impressed they were by the restaurant and staff. Terrance was a real stand out. Was pure joy and you could tell he really enjoyed his job and loved the restaurant. He made our experience over the top great. Can’t wait to go back!

Sho Pizza Bar is next level. Chef Sean Brock (yes, the legend behind Joyland and Husk) has created a Neo-Neapolitan haven in Nashville that delivers on every front—dough, flavor, vibe, and service. As founder of The Slice Mob and your local Dough Daddy, I came hungry and curious… and left absolutely blown away. We tried five pies—yes, five—and every single one hit differently. From the bold and garlicky Marinara to the mind-bending Carbonara (with egg jam, no joke), each pizza showed serious technique and imagination. The Peachza? A peach-pancetta-ricotta love story. And don’t sleep on the Caesar—lemony, umami-packed, and unforgettable. Major shoutout to Terence, our server—friendly, sharp, and clearly loving what he does. You can feel the respect and joy in this team, and it shows in the food. Chef Sean and crew are doing something special here. Sho Pizza Bar isn’t just a meal—it’s a memory. Slice Mob Approved. #DoughDaddyEats #ShoPizzaBar #SliceMobTakesNashville

Food was very, very good! Service and atmosphere were great! We had 2 appetizers, 2 pizzas and 5 drinks. The Fashion Sho, their take on an Old Fashioned, with a very distinct taste, is probably the best Old Fashioned I’ve had in Nashville which was a surprise! Their strawberry summer drink was also perfect! Ryan the bartender was amazing and we will definitely be back! Next trip I will ask for my pizza well done, that was the 1 opportunity.

Great service and fun pizza selection - love their crust - they have amazing salad options as well. I came back just a couple weeks later because I was craving their pizza. Really enjoyed their Mushroom pizza and their Godfather pizza special.

Google
Yeah, this is it. The pizza was absolutely fire, salad was great, and service was awesome. Just an overall superb experience for our Tuesday date night. We started with a Caesar salad and some olives, both were good - the salad was definitely the star of the apps, with a huge mount of fresh cheese on top. For pizza… our server begged us to get the Mushroom pie, and after a long back and forth, my wife ordered it. It turned out to be pretty good, despite me not being a mushroom fan. She was raving about it tho and already planning on ordering it next time. I got the Italian Sausage pizza which was the perfect mix of flavor, texture, and still had a decent amount protein on it. We got a side of the chili honey dip, and honestly it was insane. Great flavor, a nice texture for crust dipping, but definitely a little spicy. We sat outside because someone didn’t show for a reservation, it was in the shade and the weather was great so no complaints there. I feel like sitting at the bar inside would be a VIBE tho, especially if they’re slanging pies in front of you. Overall it was perfect. I’d recommend this for anyone looking for a unique, upscale pizza experience.

Google
Everything from food to service to atmosphere was 10 out of 10. This has been our favorite pizza in Nashville so far (and as NY transplants we’ve pretty much tried them all) Our server Maddie was attentive and personable, every dish we had was even better than the next (we ate the pizza so fast I didn’t even have a chance to take a photo) and the vibe gives calm Mediterranean meets The Bear. We can’t wait to come back and try more!

Google
Very tasty pizza! Brick oven pizza Japanese style, I really like it. I'm glad Nashville has more variety of food! The atmosphere is nice, the music on the loud side though. We were there when not many people, service was great. I wish they had more choice of salad and appetizer. We will definitely come back with friends.

Google
Sho Pizza Bar is a fantastic establishment, serving what is quite possibly the finest Neapolitan pizza in town. The authenticity of their offerings is remarkable, with each pizza crafted to perfection, boasting a sublime balance of flavours and a crust that is both tender and delightfully charred. What truly elevates the experience, however, is the charming provision of scissors, allowing one to cut their own slices with a sense of rustic elegance—a delightful touch that speaks to the thoughtfulness of their approach. The menu is further enhanced by an impressive array of tasty cocktails, each a masterful blend of flavours, and a selection of nice wines that complement the cuisine with exquisite refinement. The service is marked by a quiet professionalism and an evident passion for their craft. I wholeheartedly recommend Sho Pizza Bar to any discerning lover of Neapolitan pizza.

Yelp
Sho Pizza Bar is one of my favorite spots for 2025. I dined in on two different occasions within a week and the service and food were spot on. These neo-Neapolitan pizzas are exceptional with fresh ingredients and delicious crust I'm a fan. On my first visit I sat at the 12 seat bar which I really enjoyed. I selected the Godfather pizza and the Caesar salad. Take a look at my pics and you'll understand why the Caesar is worth the visit alone. On my second visit I went with friends so I was able to try the mushroom, salumi and sausage pizzas. All were outstanding but I'd have to say the Sausage and Mushroom were my favorite. Grab an Italian lemon soda and thank me later. Overall Sho Pizza Bar has raised the bar and I enjoyed it tremendously. S/O to Carley for making my first visit memorable. Parking is limited and available on the side and rear of the building. Be sure to head inside first to scan the code for two hours of free parking. Reservations and walk-ins are welcomed but I would make a reservation and try to set at the bar.

Yelp
We arrived at Sho Pizza Bar without a reservation and were initially told there'd be a 1-hour wait. However, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated in just 15 minutes. We started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh and flavorful, though it was a bit on the salty side due to the heavy Parmesan. The wood-fired pizza is small, but dipping the crust (which made up about a third of the pizza) into the miso ranch sauce was a game-changer. The bread was soft and delicious, with just the right amount of char -- no burnt taste at all. For dessert, we had the matcha tiramisu. While it was tasty, I couldn't quite pick up on the matcha flavor.

Yelp
I am so happy to have this gorgeous place on a walking distance from my home. The vibe is amazing, its an elevated casual dining place, it has attention to details and the freshness of the ingredients triumph the experience. The 1 star removed is for the cocktails, which were overpriced for the making of it. Very mediocre. And the cesar salad is a little hyped as well. The winners for sure were the pizzas, the tiramisu (to die for) and the service!

Yelp
Met my friend for dinner and split a salad & pizza! We went with the Caesar salad and it was truly one of the best I've had in my life - cheesy, creamy, tangy, zesty, need I say more? I am still thinking about it. We ordered our pizza from the Summer Specialty menu and tried The Godfather (see picture). This was my first experience with Tokyo-style pizza, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My friend is gluten-free but had no problems digesting their dough. I really enjoyed the flavor, texture, and thinness of the pizza. It had the light, airy feel everyone is stating that made it easy to eat and not overly heavy. We also tried two dipping sauces - the miso ranch and chili honey - and both were fantastic. They paired beautifully with the crust and really elevated the experience. That said, while I understand Tokyo-style pizza leans toward minimalism and balance, I felt like the toppings were a bit too restrained for the price. I could eat all the toppings in one bite and was left with a lot of bare crust, which made it feel a little uneven. The ingredients were top-notch, the staff was kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was loud and vibrant in a fun way. Overall, a really enjoyable and unique pizza experience - I'd definitely return, especially for that Caesar salad and try another pizza creation.

Yelp
Pizza perfection. Cute little neighborhood gem from the talented chef Sean Brock hits all the high notes. Friendly service, seasonal menu, perfect crust, and classic or unique toppings. A really good Negroni and lemonade too! Snag a reservation or try the bar for walk in or patio with the pup. Don't sleep on those fresh salads!

Yelp
Sho Pizza Bar has some really good pizza! My husband said it was some of the best bruschetta he's had. Expect a wait on the weekends for sure. We were able to sit outside and it made the experience 10x better! It is pretty pricey for pizza but it was a fun place to try!

Yelp
Pizza was delicious! Having traveled to Japan, I feel like there weee similarities in the dough. Wasn't a big fan of the caprese salad. The seasoning was not good to me. Complimentary parking for 2hrs

Yelp
An absolute new favorite for pizza in Nashville and a slam dunk for Sean Brock!! Sho, new to the Riverside neighborhood in East Nashville, specializes in a Tokyo-style pizza. Similar to Neapolitan pizza, this is made in a wood-fired stove with a tall, airy crust, and, if you've done it right, a nice lightly salty crust from the salt throne on the hot pizza stone before baking. I'm long-time Sean Brock fan. Even despite some of the ups and downs in quality of his recent restaurants, I've been wildly excited about this opening. If you follow Sean on social media, you know he's been obsessed with Japanese style pizza for the past several years, and has clearly taken a long time to perfect these recipes. And man does that time & effort show off in the menu at Sho!! It's hard to impress in a city with already a lot of amazing, craft pizza but Sho really stands out to me for (1) bringing a new style to the mix and (2) just an absolutely perfect execution. I've come twice in one week and gotten the Salumi both times. It's a hot-honey drizzled pepperoni concoction and is truly a masterpiece of punchy, perfectly balanced flavors to me. Absolutely unreal sauce - acidic, sweet, garlicky, with just a light hint of spice. Perfect, light, airy crust and I can distinguish the light sea saltiness that's a hallmark of this style of pizza, just perfect touch of herbiness from fresh basil on top. Fresh mozzarella brings it all together. Get the miso ranch - dippers are a must-have for that perfect, tall crust. Pizzas are small-medium sized, ideal for a hungry solo diner or I'd get multiple if dining with others. This is Nashville, so like other fancier pizza spots you can expect to pay $18-24 for a pizza (which I will HAPPILY do for pizza this delicious.) Service staff offers Westport scissors with which to cut your pizza, which I found fun and less messy overall. Beautiful indoor/outdoor space with validated parking for 1 hour. They brought water for my doggo on the day I sat outside: which was such wonderful, attentive service. Lots of non-pizza options that I have not tried, but the matcha tiramisu is a must for dessert. Lightly salty, great matcha flavor, not overly sweet. Really perfectly balanced flavors are a hallmark of the dishes here. Also shout out to the amazing servers and front of house. I made a massive timing snafu on my second visit and didn't realize I was supposed to be at an important work meeting until I had just ordered lunch. (The allure of amazing pizza was too great for me to pay attention to my calendar.) They let me box up my pizza to go rapidly, allowed me to take my work call sitting outside, coordinated me paying at the table via cashless pay, all while I was on my work call. I was kind of a chaotic mess but Kevin (server) and Ash's (host) kindness in just rolling with the punches, letting me quickly make changes so I could get on my work call meant the world to me and was just a true hallmark of above and beyond service. This pizza shop will be a new regular in my East restaurant rotation and I'm already counting down the moments until my next visit!

Yelp
We were in Nashville and walked to this pizza place. It's superb! There was 4 of us so we were able to try a number of things. Pizzas are about enough for 1 person but the salads are big enough for 2. Just a heads up- the pizza comes uncut, sizers are supplied to do the cutting. We started with the little gem & herb salad plus a Caesar salad. Both were great! Next we had pizza. This is pizza worth writing home about. Sho Stopper, the Mushroom, Salumi (beef pepperoni) and the Puttannasca. I loved them all, each one presented unique flavors and I'd order any one again. Service was fast, on point and friendly. As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'

Yelp
The concept behind Sho Pizza is intriguing enough for my wife and I to drive 90 minutes to try it: "Shokunin" the Japanese term for Master Craftmanship - in this case the pursuit of making the perfect pizza. Sho is located in a small commercial, hipster neighborhood northeast of downtown Nashville. The exterior is nondescript, but the interior is modern minimalist with an open floor plan. A large imported brick pizza oven dominates the open kitchen. Everything is crisp, clean and classy. You can sit at a perimeter table or there's an inviting pizza bar counter where you may watch the pizzas being made. The staff was young, energetic and inviting, explaining everything and making suggestions when asked. Our appetizers were somewhat disappointing. I had a Buffalo Mozzarella and Heirloom Tomato Salad that was loaded with tomatoes but woefully short on mozzarella. My wife ordered the Raw Tuna with Charred Corn and Marinated Peppers. The were out of the Tuna (at 4:00 pm) so they used Himachi as the protein. She enjoyed it, save for the Sake she ordered that was served in a child's JUICE BOX! I had the Margherita Pizza while my wife had the Mushroom Pizza. Their pizza is a thin crust Neapolitan style with a light, airy thick crust. It is delicious, but awkward. After just one bite of a slice you are through all of the toppings and are left with just the crust. While tlwe both enjoyed the crust, my wife's pizza was charred badly in places. The toppings were excellent - just not enough of them. The bill for the two of us for two pizzas, two appetizers, plus a couple of drinks was over $100 (BEFORE Tip). I appreciate the upscale vibe Sho is shooting for, but the pricing is way out of line for the amount of food/drinks served. I wish them well in their pursuit of Shokunin, but this is a one and done for this Jersey pair.

Yelp
Sean Brock's done it again--Sho Pizza is everything you'd hope for and more. We went with a group of four (which I totally recommend so you can try a few pizzas), and it was such a fun, delicious night. Our waiter was awesome (I really wish I remembered his name! He was working the outside tables on Saturday night)--super friendly and helpful. He suggested the Caesar salad to start, and wow, it was way better than your average Caesar. Definitely worth getting. For pizzas, we ordered the Salumi (a total showstopper) and the Salsiccia. Both were amazing--perfectly chewy, wood-fired crusts and bold, delicious flavors. It was a little crowded and the pacing of the pizzas felt a bit slow, but we didn't mind waiting because everything was so good. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day, and the vibe was just right--relaxed but buzzy. My friend ordered the gin martini with basil oil, and I got to try the olive it came with--SO good. The whole drink was super fresh and unique. If you're into wine, the list has some really cool bottles you don't see everywhere. I'd recommend making a reservation, but they do seem to take walk-ins if you're up for a wait.

Yelp
Amazing pizza but a but $$$. Had 2 of their original pizza menu options and both super good. Had a good Lambrusco too! Will def be back!

Yelp
First time visiting. Ordered the special which was a super Margherita pizza, mushroom pizza, Caesar salad and matcha tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious!! The Caesar was in my top 3 . The pizzas were perfect . Overall great experience the host and waiter were great! Nice atmosphere, can't wait to go back! It was delicious!

Yelp
Loved this spot. Bright and open space with a full view of the staff slinging 'za! You can literally sit at the pizza bar, eat your food, and watch them stretch dough and prepare the pizza. Looked like they have a full alcohol bar but can't actually remember. The pizza was delicious. Great sauce and lots of crust. Make sure to order a side sauce to dip your crust. The prices were as expected: a little on the higher side but mostly typical, thanks Obama.

Yelp
Chef Sean Brock and his Team are making amazing Pizza in East Nashville! This is my new favorite Pizza place in Nashville! The food here is so delicious because every ingredient is high quality and is specifically chosen by Chef Brock. From the proteins, to the tomatoes, to the twice-milled semolina, to the 7,000 pound pizza oven imported directly from Italy. All of it comes together with purpose; and the result is fresh and delicious food that will blow you away. How often are you able to have a wonderful lunch while speaking with the owners (MC and Ben) and the Chef? Their staff are pleasant, well trained, and efficient. They make you feel right at home. My friend and I sat at the Pizza Bar and we shared two pizzas for lunch; The Salumi (with Calabrian Chili Honey) and The Super Margherita (with buffalo mozzarella). Both were fantastic! The crust here is really special. Both of our crusts were transformed from dough balls by hand right in front of us by Chef Brock. The flavor and chew on the pizza crust here is unique and satisfying. The Margherita has a mild taste, with the sweetness of the tomato sauce and the smoked salt really driving the layers of flavor. The Salumi is much more flavor forward, with the salami and the chili honey doing most of the heavy lifting. The restaurant is very clean, with indoor and outdoor tables, and with seating at the Pizza Bar. I'm told the Pizza Bar is always open seating, while reservations can be made for the tables. There is a full bar along with French Press Coffee and several Zero Proof options. This is an amazing addition to the Nashville dining scene and I highly recommend Sho Pizza Bar!

Yelp
We've been wanting to try here ever since they opened but reservations are hard to come by... and I see why! The food was delicious and I loved that you could see exactly where everything was sourced from. A cool vibe being able to watch them make the pizzas in front of you too! Will definitely be back

Yelp
Pizza So Good It Should Be Illegal, HOLY SHIT! Let me start by saying this: I came, I saw, I pizza'd -- and I left with my dignity and my digestive system intact. A rare combo. I had the mushroom pizza (earthy, cheesy, pure joy), the Margherita (a classic that deserves a Michelin star and maybe a love song), and two salads, one Caesar (crunchy, creamy, Caesar-y perfection) and another mysterious forest-like creation with leaves so big I briefly questioned if I was a small goat. Like, I didn't hate it... but I did consider bleating. Oh the dessert was so sublime, it was light, i was chewing on tasty air. Now, let's talk service. The servers were so kind and attentive I started wondering if I owed them money. Genuinely warm, friendly, and on top of everything, think, like pizza angels in aprons. Also, this place was sparkling clean. I've seen operating rooms that looked sketchier, i DO MEANT THAT! And the best part? After stuffing my face with enough carbs to fuel a small country, I didn't leave feeling like I was smuggling a pizza baby (or triplets). Just pure satisfaction. 10/10 would come again and graze through a salad while making fat goat jokes. Shout out to the homie, Emmet, making the bar look spectacular back there. And Jake best server award!

Yelp
Tucked away in a super cute part of Nashville just outside the city, this spot is an absolute gem when it comes to both food and atmosphere. The menu is a really unique blend of Asian and Italian influences--especially in the pizzas and sauces--and somehow, it totally works. Unexpected, but in the best way possible. We went on a Saturday night and the place was packed, so we ended up seated outside. Unfortunately, it was insanely hot, and there weren't enough fans for every table, which made dinner a bit uncomfortable. That said, our server was fantastic and really went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The Caesar salad was a standout--super fresh, with beautiful presentation (honestly, a 10/10). The only tweak I'd make next time is to ask for it without the lemon zest, as it was a little too intense and bitter for my taste. If you're planning to go, definitely call ahead and make a reservation--ideally weeks in advance. This place fills up fast, and for good reason.

Yelp
Was actually blown away with Sho. Pizza in Nashville imo is a bit hard to come by because of the difference in styles all across the city. Nashville can't get a classic NY slice right, we haven't found one. The coal fire/Neapolitan style is hit or miss. BUUUUUUT Sho nailed it. Listen it's not my preferred style of pizza but for what their style is they killed it over there. I love their unique style on being a Neapolitan Tokyo style. They have purpose behind the way they make their pizza bc of the technique that was explained to us. Ingredients were super fresh and it showed in the pizza. We got a classic Margherita and one of the specials. Spot on pizza and can't wait to come back eventually.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious. We loved the mushroom Bianca salumi and sho-stopper. As soon as each pizza was brought out, we inhaled it before the next pizza came out. Pizza is perfectly hot and crispy as it's served. Service team is so friendly and I wanna be friends with them. Good music though people are chatty so you don't have to scream to talk but it'll be hear your friend who talks softly. It's cold inside so bring a light jacket.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Pizza was very good --loved the chewy yet airy crust, and toppings were high-quality and nicely balanced both in quantity and flavor. We also ordered the stracciatella bruschetta with peas and mint. The stracciatella, peas, and mint were all scrumptious and fresh, but the bread served with it was underwhelming--dry, flavorless, and cold. Overall the experience was fine. Space is nice and bright, lively energy (fair caution: maybe too loud for some folks? lots of hard surfaces so not much noise-dampening). We were a little disappointed that service staff -- notably, not on a weekend, on a Wednesday -- seemed to be stretched thin, meaning we quickly ran out of water and had to wait quite a while for the check, so we ended up skipping dessert. Still, I'd happily come back, maybe after the early-days crowds have died down a bit.

Yelp
We walked in and were immediately greeted as well as sat at the Chef's table. Our server Sam was super great and friendly. Sam suggested two pizzas as they were small, but filling. We ordered the margarita, pizza and a mushroom pizza. My wife cut her pizza in half the with the provided scissors. We proceeded to share each half of our pizzas that were unbelievably full of flavor. The overall ambiance was very cool and clean. The pizza oven steals the show inside but the food and service stole the rest of the night. We will be back!

Yelp
I love that I live in a neighborhood where I can randomly walk in off the street and have Chef Sean Brock make me a pizza! 10/10. Take my money. Kevin gave me great service at the pizza bar, while I watched Sean make countless pizza crusts with tender love and care. This place is a vibe! Walk in's welcome at bar top and patio. Free hour of parking included.

Yelp
Food wise this was a 5 and I wish I could put a 4.5 rating overall. When I went I was afraid the pizza was overhyped and wouldn't live up to it, but for once the hype was right! The crust was perfectly thin with a chewy bite, the sauce was perfectly seasoned, the toppings were delicious. I got the Salumi pizza which had a honey chili oil that gave it a perfectly sweet and spicy kick. I also got the Neopolitan Martini that also hit the spot. The ambiance was nice and you could see the pizza oven and pizzas being made if you sat at the chefs seating area. There's a paid parking lot, you can get 1 hr free with the QR code at the hostess stand. I highly recommend getting a reservation, especially if you're going on a weekend night. There weren't any available when we went, they take walk ins so we went and hoped the wait wouldn't be too long. We went on a Friday night at 7 pm andIt was a 1.5 hr wait...yes we waited the whole time hoping it wouldn't actually be that long but it was. Everyone that worked there was very kind and the service was great. This may be an unpopular opinion but the only reason I'm counting off for this is because there was no option or offer to get a drink from the bar while we waited. And we waited for 1.5 hrs which is a long to wait without anything to drink. I think a water station or something would be great for people who walk in and have to wait a while to be seated. Granted, we came on a Friday night and they did tell us the wait was 1.5 hrs but might be less. They were using the bar to seat people which I understand, but I think when customers are waiting for so long offering a drink from the bar or a water would've been appreciated.

Yelp
Went for dinner on their 3rd day open. Especially for being so new I was impressed with how together their front of house and kitchen had it together. The servers were super nice and attentive. We were a group of three and ordered 3 pizzas to share. We all had one piece of each pizza. The Super Margarita was my favorite, though they were all good. The crust is amazing. It was great to be able to watch them make the pizzas in the open kitchen. The restaurant is well done. I really appreciate that they are keeping the bar for walk ins. I know I will be taking advantage of this. I will be back for more great pizza soon.

Yelp
A lot of popular places on tik tok don't live up to the hype but this one hit it out the park with ease. Awesome food and efficient service.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Sho Pizza Bar in East Nashville, especially since it's within walking distance of our home -- but unfortunately, we left really disappointed. We walked in on a Sunday night and grabbed two open bar seats, only to be told by the hostess that the bar is not first-come, first-served, even though several seats were clearly open. We ended up waiting 50 minutes, which we tried to be understanding about -- it's a new spot after all. But after about 40 minutes, we went back inside to sit in the small waiting area near the host stand, where the host proceeded to pull the chair out from under me to seat another table. Not a great look. When we finally got seated -- ironically, in the same bar seats we tried to sit in from the beginning -- it took 15 minutes for the bartender to even greet us with a "what do you want to drink?" I waited another 10 minutes after that for a very underwhelming $14 cocktail. The food wait wasn't much better -- 49 minutes for two personal-sized pizzas, priced at $23 each. The cherry on top? The trendy pizza scissors they give you broke the moment I tried to use them, and no one ever offered a replacement. If you're looking for an overpriced wood-fired pizza with cocktails and subpar service, this is your place. Otherwise, you're better off going to Urban Cowboy or Dicey's, where you'll get a better vibe -- and at least some decent

Yelp
I had high expectations for Sho Pizza and it somehow managed to exceed all of them! We sat at the bar and Ryan and Clara were great. They were so busy but managed to keep up with it all with humor and grace. It was impressive. We tried 3 pizzas (country boy, salumi and the margherita) and the matcha tiramisu. It's tough to pick a favorite but country ham on a pizza is brilliant. We will be back to try more!

Yelp
Ambiance was so fun, especially with music playing nicely lit place & clean. Love sitting at the chefs counter to watch them make the pizzas. Service was amazing & friendly. Food was spectacular & we will definitely be back. Already told my chefs at work about this place.

Yelp
Delicious is an understatement. This has become our new pizza spot. It's a unique experience but something worth checking out! We ordered the super margherita and I forgot the name of the other but it has hot honey on it! Both did not disappoint. It's a great vibe and they staff is so friendly! There isn't much parking but we somehow never have trouble finding any!

Yelp
Omgoodness where do I start! How about the fabulous staff? Everyone working there seems really well supported and so friendly in a sincere way. The food is so delicious. The careful dough spinning, the thoughtful list of local farms they source their food is written on a board in full display. The flavor profiles are insane! Get all the pizza dipping sauces to try. Trust me. And order a pizza to go just in case you want more later lol! Shout out to Kevin who helped us out today! What a treat to connect.

Yelp
Amazing food and service was great. Very similar to a pizza place in Ropongi Tokyo. Casual setting. Free parking. Great cocktails. And the tiramisu was amazing. Recommend sitting at the bar.

Yelp
Great service! That pizza is delicious! The crust, I would come back daily for. Tuna salad was supreme, with a fantastic heat to it. Hoping some day I see a clam pizza on that menu. Of course, to top it off, the man, himself, was in the house. We will go back often.

Yelp
Whoa, this pizza is bangin'!! It's an open style restaurant, so you see everything that's happening which is pretty cool. Started with the olives and the Caesar salad, both YUM! Would have loved to add some protein to it, but regardless it's delicious. Loved the Salumi Pizza and the dough... chef's kiss! Typically if we're going for pizza we'd head over to Emmy's but thought we'd try Sho on opening day, so glad that we did. The dough is outstanding, definitely going to be our new spot. Couldn't help ourselves, we tried a couple of the cocktails too and can confidently recommend the highball and the margarita! We'll be back, for Sho!

Yelp
We finally made it here. I'm always curious as to what Sean Brock will come up with next. He and his crew have just brought pizza to another level! The crust!!! Yes, the crust itself is almost the highlight, but then the toppings. Wow. We sat at the bar and Emitt took great care of us. The cocktail and wine list are thoughtfully curated and were superb. We will be back here soon. Count on it.

Yelp
Just was not impressed -- Dicey's, 312 are amazing --- it was ok glad we tried it but we're a one and done. Best of luck tho !!

Yelp
Shout out to Ash! They went above and beyond at the host stand to help me with an unusual situation. They were so kind and personable. In a world of generic hosts, Ash shines bright & anyone would be lucky to have them on their team.

Yelp
Run don't walk to try out this hot spot for the best wood fired pizza and elevated appetizers in Nashville! MC, Ryan, Ash, and the team were all fantastic! The food is tremendous, the environment upscale but not pretentious, and the hospitality is top tier (I say, as a self-proclaimed hospitality snob). Tip: Try the Bluefin Tuna! Try it now, thank me later

Yelp
Sho is absolutely incredible! We went last night and highly enjoyed our experience. The dough is fermented for 48 hours before being cooked, so it's left with a fluffy, soft consistency and was incredible. We ordered the marinated olives, stracciatella bruschetta, Caesar salad, salumi pizza, Bianca pizza, and mushroom pizza. Everything was a 10/10. We all had different favorites. Be sure to get all the side sauces to try. The miso ranch is unreal. We finished it all off with the matcha tiramisu which was delicious. We will definitely be back, and are so happy to welcome Sho to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We were staying one night in Nashville and driving back through one week later. We chose to eat at Sho once again. We encouraged the owner to consider opening a location near where we live north of Atlanta.

Yelp
Sean Brock puts his James Beard Award winning finish on some stellar pizza. We sat at the bar and let me just start by saying our bartender, Ryan, was phenomenal. He was busy as can be yet still attentive and friendly. We decided to get 2 pizzas and 2 dips (2 + a salad or dessert seems good for 2 people). The Bianca pizza was cheesy yet citrusy and sweet, and it paired so well with the Calabrian chile honey dip. I love that you get to cut the pizzas yourself, in true Italian fashion. Our other pizza was the Italian sausage, which we dipped in the miso ranch. I didn't taste a ton of miso but the ranch still elevated the crusts. My favorite of the 2 was the Bianca but it was a close run, and honestly, they're just so well done. The leoparding on the crusts is expert style, and Witt the pizza chef really killed it with our pies. Will definitely be coming back. This place is a new Nashville gem.

Yelp
This pizza is delicious. Some are simple, some are exotic, all are amazing. I love the creative take on food with the interesting pizzas and the matcha tiramisu. Super fun

Yelp
Food was great especially the country boy pizza it is a little salty with the country ham but it goes well with the ranch. Service was also great. Our waitress Sammy had great recommendations

Yelp
We got the seasonal peach pizza and the pepperoni hot honey pizza, along with a Caesar salad. Everything was amazing. The peach pizza was incredible and we hope to go back while it's still on the menu for the summer.

Yelp
Sho Pizza isn't just pizza--it's an experience. Sean Brock has struck culinary gold once again, and as an Italian girl, I can confidently say this is the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever had. The crust? Light, pillowy, and absolute perfection. Every bite is thoughtfully crafted and full of soul. Congrats, Sean--Sho is a masterpiece. Amazing service as well. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Excellent service, amazing food!! The herb salad was one of the best salads I've ever had - so fresh, crisp, light, and flavorful. The pizza was so good I could've shed a tear...they use imported flour from Italy and use a Japanese process of fermenting and preparing it. You don't feel stuffed or bloated after eating this pizza. My husband and I ordered two, but could've easily split three because they aren't heavy at all. I wish we took pics of the pizza but it was gone before we had the chance hahah

Yelp
The food is amazing... Possibly best pizza in Nashville. Service was great and love the atmosphere and the outdoor patio ... We had the mushroom and biaca pizzas, both were fantastic!
